Bustling nook establishment provides a range of traditional Thai entrees amid ornate cultural decor.
This was our 2nd visit. The 1st was pre pandemic so a lot had changed. But the place was still quiet and clean. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Placed our order and not much time had gone by before our potstickers had come out. It was 4 other tables either eating or waiting for their food to come out. So busy but not too busy. Our Chicken Potstickers were delicious and hot. Really loved the dipping sauce that came with it. Next our Salmon Jumping, Thai Basil Fried Rice, & Prik King came out and it all looked and smelled wonderful. The salmon jumping was almost too beautiful to eat but I ain’t it though. It was the best salmon I’ve ever had in my life. Yes it’s the best salmon I’ve ever had. Every bite was followed with “OMG this is so good!” The Thai Basil Fried rice was delicious and so was the Prik King. took over the Prik King because I took over the salmon. The 1st time we came in we didn’t have this wonderful experience. It wasn’t a bad experience at all either. This time was definitely a wonderful different. We will be back soon. I’ll be dreaming of the Jumping Salmon until then.
New cook?
Got 3 different meals and we're really missing flavor and quality. I paid for extra veggies on one and it was bland with no sauce like the dish usually has. Cashew chicken has changed- results were little flavor. I got cashew chicken, pad see ew, and pri king. After 15 years of eating here, the last year or so I have seen the potions, quality, consistency go south.
First time visiting this current location the wait staff met me at the door provided me with it take out menu took my order promptly and offered me a glass of water while I was waiting. I chose to wait outside they have one table to sit at she promptly brought me my takeout food and since it was such a lovely day I decided to eat at the small outdoor table. When my waitress noticed I was still there eating she brought me another glass of water to go with my meal. I had item number 26 on the menu, stir-fry vegetables with chicken and it was excellent. The flavor was good the vegetables were cooked appropriately the chicken was tender and there were two scoops of rice. I will definitely be back again
Great place to get some Thai food, love it!
A perfect thai restaurant for Thai food lovers in the heart of Puyallup. The curry dishes and the chicken fried rice dishes are par excellence. The staff is very polite and friendly.

Excellent take out
Unique menu items. Delicious. Great atmosphere. We had duck curry and three sauce trout (?) and both were fantastic. I will go out of my way to come back here:
Friendly staff, large portions, big menu! Try the mango smoothie!
Restaurant has nice ambience. The food came fast but was way too sweet; tasted more like Korean food than Southeast Asian. I paid more than I expected and will not be back. Just personal preference—the pride in their business was hard to find (i.e., telling their story, caring for their craft, and creating meaningful experiences) Great place for others though
Got food poisoning. Food did not taste that great either. I was excited to try a new place, definately will not be returning.
Always good!
High end Thai experience with great prices. My go to for a laid back night.
This place is delicious. I first ordered the duck curry and it was amazing. I've been back several more times and the food has always been great.
It's so good each time we go there.
This was my 1st time going there and the food was good though I don't have much experience with Thai food. They were shorthanded that night and they had a sign in the front stating that But still, the service wasn't bad
Food is different than the past three years coming here. Still decent but a lot has changed since I started visiting. Food is a bit bland now and I paid $3.00 for extra shrimp and only got 3 shrimp🥲.
Always consistent good food. My wife and I get takeout from here all the time for Thai food.
Always hits the spot and kind employees
Excellent food, ambiance, and service. I particularly enjoyed the Pad See-Ew and the Thai iced tea.
The waiter was nice but the food was super sweet. We both got different curries and they didn't taste like any Thai food we had before, and we love Thai food. My husband got 5 star spicy and his food was not spicy at all. We were unfortunately very disappointed and won't be back.
Great, fast service and some of the best pad thai I've ever had.
The place is beautiful with all the decor. The service is superb. At the moment they are understaffed, BUT the over average wait is worth it. The dishes are very delicious and seasoned to perfection. Last of all the food isn't overpriced...
Best Thai on South Hill!
Consistent on quality and portions.
Parking sucks, I rarely get to park in the lot and am forced to park at restaurant across driveway.
I order their lunch combo over the phone. I specifically ask for the Penang Curry with Phad Thai and rice. When I picked up my order the male server gave me the rice and Penang curry. I let him know I am missing the phad thai. He stated that the combo only comes in Red Curry and cannot and will not substitute. I been coming to this restaurant for the last 10 yrs and they always substitute the Red curry with Penang curry. It would have been nice to tell me when I placed the order that they will not substitute. I said fine and waited another 15 mins to add Phad Thai to my order. My used to be $13 lunch has now cost me over $28 which is fine since I’m getting more food. When I got home the Penang curry is in a very small container with about 4 pcs of really thin small cut chickens, nothing but green and red bell peppers. The phad thai has also less portion than usual and a little bland. I’m more likely not go back and time to try the other Thai restaurant like Charm Thai on Meridian and Chili Thai.
My fav Thai place @ Puyallup
Great food, and they are good with food sensitivities. They can make most entries gluten free and garlic free.
Good food good service . Thank you
Always consistent, always delicious! (2018)
Now it's 2022 and we still absolutely agree!
Great food and experience. Do yourself a favor and get the yellow curry. Staff was very friendly.
I was surprised they were able to give us all that and a pretty generous portion, all for around 10$
Tried this last week for the first time, spring rolls were really good as well as the basil fried rice and ginger chicken. Friendly young man at the counter.
If your dishes are spicy or not spicy then don't bother with stupid stars. It adds nothing to the authentically sweetened Thai American fusion fodder.
This is a well run family business, any dish we have ordered has been great and they make their dishes as spicy 🌶 or as mild as you want. They can also make their dishes Gluten Free if you ask them. The place is nicely decorated and the service is good 👍🏻 🍱
Amazing place! Delicious lunch combos, kind and respectful staff. Definitely coming back!
All-time favorite of mine! Have been a regular here since my Jr. High days!
Best pad Thai I’ve had since I moved here. I’ve been boincing around to different businesses looking for the winner and this is it. AND very large portions. AND their tofu is the best tofu I’ve ever had at any restaurant
Food is always perfect every time. Service is really good, even when they are short handed. This is my favorite restaurant, and my favorite meal is the panag curry! Yum
It was a nice calm Wednesday there were about 7 people eating in. They seated me quickly, the food came out before I even knew it and it tasted great. They made a small substitution no problem and my glass of water was filled so often it never came close to empty
One of the best Thai meals we've ever had. The resturant is friendly, sparkling clean, and the food is excellent.
The food is so good here .
Great food! My daughter had the trout. It looked amazing!! My food was made to my specifications without spicyness. It was great! Don't be afraid to ask for what you need. they made it happen for me. Try it, you'll like it. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Enjoy! PCM
Really really great service.. Excellent food.. Very attentive. They were Johnny-on-the-spot . Food came out really really quick.. And a really decent atmosphere. We gave about 24.5% tip...
Dishes are consistently delicious, good value, and servers are always nice.
Literally so good. My dad and I ate here after a long trip and it was so good. Amazing service as well; everyone is super nice and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

My boyfriend and I love this place. Always delicious, it’s our fave Thai restaurant around. Consistently a wonderful meal.
Exceptional service. Delicious food.
All I can say is wow! Took my wife and kids out for dinner for Mother’s Day. I had the Massaman curry. Jeeeeeeezz! 9/10 for sure.
Best Thai food in town!
This place is absolutely wonderful and incredibly delicious. It has never disappointed me. Just the opposite. Truly a hidden gem of Puyallup. Best Thai food around by FAR. Highly recommend going here.
Mussaman curry was really bland. The plain white rice almost had more flavor. Willing to try other dishes sometime again though!
Satay chicken was nice portion size but was overcooked and chewy. The gluten free chicken pad Thai was decent tasting and great portion. I would have to try some other items to give a better review. I will try again. I do like the other Thai options on the hill a lite better. The satcf was great.
Love this place. Phad thai, cashew chicken are always a staple here. Also love the fresh rolls, pad see ew(sp?) as well!
Food is fast and reliably delicious. It is nice to support a local business and if you haven’t tried it yet, give them your business.
I would eat there again.
Average restaurant for a Thai food. Didn't find much crab meat in crab delight. Red curry is more watery.
Tried both locations in Puyallup and unfortunately I won't be back to either one. I honestly was very disappointed in the food.
Always delights. Never disappoints.
! You gotta do it!!! How can I give 10 stars???? Food was a dream!!’
Green curry and the crab fried rice is amazing! Make it a little bit spicy so you can truly enjoy them.
Pad thai wasn't too bad usually comes with lime at other places but not here which I missed. The pad see ew was pretty good cooked very well and had great flavor. The service I feel is very hit or miss depending on the server they can be really nice or just meh. It is nicely decorated overall its not TOO bad.
Always good food, love the this place!
Ayothaya has been our favorite Thai place in the area for years. Their quality of food is always excellent. I’ve been happy with whatever we have ordered whether dining in or taking out.
Delicious and the atmosphere is charming.
Nice little Thai restaurant. My husband and I stopped in after our bike ride and were sweaty, so we opted to eat outside. Our server was kind enough to put all of our food in takeout containers, which I actually preferred because we could just leave when we wanted to. Their menu is big and has a really good variety of flavors. The prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food you get. We both ordered the BBQ chicken, and to my surprise it was a small whole chicken cut in half! It was so nice to get all the different chicken parts, and it was way more than I could eat in one sitting. Usually I peel the skin back on chicken and toss it, but the skin was so nice 🤤. It looked like something out of a magazine and the taste was amazing. We'll be adding this restaurant to our rotation for sure!
Food is good but portions are tiny compared to other places and prices are same for way less food.
This is the Thai place to go. Reasonably priced and great tasting food but a little on the sweet side. Pad Thai tends to have the largest quantity. It is probably one of thr better thai places in the greater Tacoma area when compared with price and taste.
Delicious food. Definitely worth ordering from here.
This place is the bees knees! Highly recommend
Inconsistent quality.
Sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's terrible.
Are you feeling lucky?
Is friendly staff cozy great food
BEST THAI IN TOWN!! If you don't agree, you're wrong! 🤣 Anyway....food is always delicious. Service is great! One of my favorites! ❤
Quick and delicious food for when you’re hungry! 😋 My 6 year old kiddo loves the chicken satay (super picky eater too!) and the pad thai with the seafood sweet and sour is my favorite!
I ordered online for a chicken Pad Thai and lemongrass chicken. Received notification on my phone that it is ready for pick up after 10 minutes of ordering. Both dishes were very bland and the portion for the lemongrass chicken was very small portion for the $12.
Get the Sen Yai and thank me later!
Best Thai restaurant
Always delicious! Have the ayothaya wings, it's like biting into delicious chicken soup without the broth!! Everything we've ever tried there has been fantastic!
Ordered the bah mee dish which was good. Ordered during lunch which the totall was 10 dollars and change. Very clean inside. I would come here again.
The food, wait staff, and (fast!) service is always outstanding! My personal favs are Crab fried rice, Rama noodles with chicken and Phad sew ew.
Good food but I did no get what my meal the way I wanted
So good! Must try Pad-see-ew and Pineapple Fried Rice. You can customize how spicy you’d like it for any of their dishes. If you’re like me and you don’t really eat spicy, this is the place for you!
Visited 1/8/21, at 6:30 PM. Ayothaya on Meridian was SO busy, but Bee and her team did an excellent job of getting the orders ready for take out. Even with the rush, the quality stayed consistent and top notch. Tonight my veggie pad kee mao was so delicious. The sauce was very flavorful and generous. To the chefs - The food was kem-kun, and mee glin hawm. (I hope that translates well.) YOU ALL ROCK!!
This food is AMAZING!!! Omg, and it stayed hot from Puyallup to Federal way (17 miles)
Love both this location and Fredrickson. Sen-Ya and Thai fried rice are my favorites!
Did I enjoy it.. not really. Am I full, yes. Green curry lacked flavor. Spring rolls tasted like they were prepackaged not fresh. Pad thai was okay.. won't be back.
My favorite Thai food in Puyallup, phad thai and golden cashew chicken lunch special can't be beat!
Excellent Food and Service
Food is great. Service is great. Can't go wrong here!
Best tasting and best priced Thai food in the area. Huge portions and always fast.
We enjoy their food very much! Our 'go-to' when were in the area. Had the red curry..delicious! Fast, clean, excellent service.
Loved the lunch special we had green curry with chicken and white rice 2 for the spice level, red curry with beef and white rice with 3 for the spice level, Phase Kee Mao (drunken noodles) 2 for the spice level, and Eggplant with pork and white rice 3 for the spice level. All were delicious 2 of us had Thai Ice Teas and they were the best we've ever had very creamy. We all went away very happy with the food and service.
I have always enjoyed coming here until this last Monday. I normally dont leave reviews but the services was so bad and the waitress was so rude I will never come back.
Great food and excellent service. We’ll be back for sure.
They have great food and are super friendly.
Delicious to-go! Oh man! So good! No drop off of quality when getting to-go. They're friendly and fast. The seating is nice and the environment is cozy. Love this place!
Have no idea
Great food and perfect spice levels
Consistently good food.
Got several dishes to go and they were amazing
Consistently amazing service and food for all the years I’ve been going there. The staff are kind and generous hosts.
Great food and fast.
Excellent food with a friendly staff and enriching environment.
Our favorite Thai restaurant! Great food and super service.
Nice cute small restaurant. Decent service, but the pad thai is inedible. Just swimming in way to much sauce. And the taste is not like other pad thai I've ever had. And the the curry was bland. Was really hoping to find a thai favorite, but this falls way way short.
I must be going to the wrong location because the food and service was terrible.
Very tasty clean and friendly staff
Good Thai food at very reasonable prices. Been for lunch twice now and both times were a pleasant experience, wonderful service, and tasty food.
This is the best Tai food restaurant I have ever been to! They have the best Pad Tai in the world, and have the most helpful waitresses and servers. You will leave here wanting to go back! They are FIRST CLASS!
The Phad Thai and Golden Cashew were really good.
Not bad, have another favorite Thai restaurant.
A little pricey and their menu isn’t available online which makes ordering to-go difficult but tasty food
We had lunch today at Ayothaya and was pleasantly surpised at how good the food was and even more surprised at the cost...I would highly recommend!!!
Excellent food. I have been here a number of times and it is always very good.
I love the freshness of the food. Very exquisite taste. You get the bang for your buck! I have always been serviced friendly and fast, whether phone ordered ahead or dined in best service for Thai food in Puyallup.
Some of the best Thai food around.. hands down!
Good food
The food here is awesome. Great service... definitely will be back again. Best place for Thai food
Very solid place. Great food, and good service.
Good food
It was wonderful, great service and the meal was more than plenty..
