My wife and I have been working in many different restaurants since 2005. We finally started our own food truck in 2013. The food came from our working experiences in many different restaurants in Seattle. We would like to say our gratuity to our friends and family who have helped us building the trailer and the recipe. We build this trailer by sparing our paychecks. It took us quite a long time to get enough income to build this trailer. We love this trailer as much as we love to serve our best foods to our customers.
Cheers!
Just had a delivery from this restaurant. We had Tom Yum soup, Tom Kha soup, Golden Noodles, Beef Pad Thai and Chicken Satay.
The food was delicious! Vegetables were crisp and fresh. Chicken satay was moist and well seasoned. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. Portions were generous, and everything arrived at our door HOT.
I was especially grateful for clearly labeled gluten free options.
We will definitely order from here again!
I just had the owner deliver my pineapple fried rice that she prepared and dropped off to my house on Beacon Hill. And cream cheese pot stickers
All complimentary, due to and order that I picked up last night that was too spicy. I posted a review on Google which I deleted. The food was delicious, as it always is. Pot stickers were a nice surprise. I was so surprised she would take the time to deliver to me. I tried to tip, but she kindly declined. I have been a regular customer past 4 years and will always support this family. Thank you for your kindness.
I just had a chance to try the crispy garlic chicken, I got a heat flavored number of three and I’m out sitting eatin lunch, I’m so enthralled about this chicken and the flavors and everything about it, it’s just excellent and now my go to for blah blah blah, Thai-U-Up is excellent
Food is excellent. Miss the food truck on Roxbury. It was the best, hopefully it will be back as they are short on staff right now. Restaurant has limited seating, but I always get take out anyway.
I ordered online and the food was waiting for me when I arrived.
Best Pad See luw that I have found anywhere... be warned 3 stars is quite hot, but very tasty!
As of this review, I know this place doesn't have a whole lot of stars. I had a good experience here though. I went for lunch with a co-worker and although they don't have any lunch specials, the regular order was a serious portion for both of us. The food was a little spicy, but it was still tasty. I recommend that if you normally order a certain number for level of spiciness, take it down a number or even two. The place seems clean, and the food is priced similarly to other restaurants in the area for this cuisine.
Got off my flight from the east coast, and searched for the nearest Thai restaurant. I’m so glad that this place popped up. The family is super friendly and provided great service! Their food was comparable to the Thai food you’d get in northern Jersey/NYC, and they actually understand how to make your food SPICY when requested. We were both super satisfied with our food. I would definitely recommend Thai-U-Up if you’re around the area and craving some Thai food.
Usually not a bad place. This last time we ordered Kee Mao with chicken though, it was not good. The food seemed spoiled, and we just threw it away.
Chicken tasted fishy, no flavor for curry. Noodles ok.

They have great Thai food. Friendly owners and staff that care about their customers and the quality of their food. My favorites are the Panang chicken and pad thai with beef. Highly recommend!

Food was fire 🔥
It says they are open. Waited to be served, yet after a while of me standing next time them they inform me that they are closed
Best Service and Food!
I went out to lunch with 5 of my co-workers today and we loved it! The food was great and their customer service was what left such a great impression on us.
Everything is spot on!,I’ve been coming here for 7 months and haven’t found anything I don’t like. Everyone is friendly, foods is amazing from all Chef’s! I’m not up to3 stars yet but working on it.
Also I’m a big soup and Noodle fan.
Thai Up is hands down reliable for last minute dinner takeout, we lead busy lives and this is one of our favorites, their food is truly authentic hearty and delicious Thai food, we love the pad thai and beef salad
I do not recommend their panang curry with chicken. They use pieces of rotisserie chicken as their chicken base (legs, thighs breast). I’ve always had panang curry with thinly sliced breast. This definitely changed the taste of the curry meal. Not worth it. I gave it a 3 becuase the Panang sauce its self was decent.

This might be the best Thai I’ve had. And I’m sad because I’m from out of town. Everyone loved their food. I got the panang curry, crab Rangoons, pot stickers and mango sticky rice.
Food has gotten less flavorful
I ordered Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai. They all were salty and burnt. It doesn’t taste like Thai food that I’ve been trying in many other Thai restaurants.
Never coming back!
OMG, AMAZING!!!! Everything I ordered was so flavorful. Crispy garlic chicken, golden noodle with the best peanut sauce ever, pot stickers and egg rolls. I don't care for potstickers usually but these were so good. My husband also tried the cashew chicken, better than his favorite place. Finally found a new Thai place worth spending my money in!!! Thank you Thai u up!!!!!!
First time ordering from here, great food, especially the pad thai. They were quick preparing our order and very welcoming when we entered. I would definitely recommend this place for a bite of Thai food.
Amazing
Pretty good food. I usually get the crispy garlic chicken and most of the time it's really tasty but a couple times the chicken's been dry. No issue with any other dishes we get. 5 stars are reserved for amazing food. Not amazing but reliably good. Great service! Very Friendly staff. It's our go to Thai place.
The food is fantastic! Especially the shrimp fried rice
Best thai around. Never had anything I didn't like.
Delicious food! Fast service! Great and friendly people!
We ordered through Uber Eats. The food was tasty, and they were respectful of allergies!! I appreciate the time and attention spent! Our food was presented differently than expected. The menu didn't indicate there would be rice with the pad thai. It doesn't add to the dish in any way, except to take up space. The spice level was inconsistent across the dishes. I ordered Pad Thai spice level 5; it was very spicy! It was so good and spicier than usual in Seattle (not a complaint). The Crispy Garlic Chicken with the same spice level was barely spicy at all. I'd order again, but ask for no extra rice and more consistency across the dishes. Thank you!
The owner is so nice! Very friendly and great customer service! Also.the food is delicious!
Would have been nice to not have chicken in my dish when I ordered tofu.
Good Thai take out. I will go back to try the crispy garlic chicken.
I had pad Thai and potstickers. Both were very good.
I’ve had a lot of Thai food in my lifetime. This was the very best.. I ordered chicken phad thai to go. Everything was fresh and nicely presented. I highly recommend.
Just ordered delivery. My food wasn’t seasoned and non spiced even though I ordered 2 star and tasted like the ingredients were bought in a super market
The fried rice used to be my goto meal and was well worth the price but after receiving my order today I can't say I'd reccomend them to anyone to be honest. The fried rice was straight up plain flavorless white rice with really tough meat and steamed vegetables, I'm not sure when they changed the recipe but for $18 I expected a tasty flavorful meal. Extremely disappointed that the only discernable flavor came from steamed vegetables

Great friendly service. Amazing food!!
The flavor tasted more Chinese than thai, crispy garlic tasted like orange chicken without the orange flavor, and phad Thai was bland. Funny because I knew the food wouldn’t be good as soon as my husband brought it to the car and sure enough, it sucked! The only reason I ordered from here was because I thought it was Krungthep, only to find it I ordered at the wrong place. It’s also concerning that when I placed the order (crispy garlic takes a lot longer to make), she said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Should’ve been a clue that I was calling the wrong place, but I was rushing. This makes me believe they pre make the food, like Panda or a buffet. I suggest you spend your hard earned $$ at Krungthep, for authentic thai food.
Unfortunately it's not worth what you pay for. Some things are good, others aren't, so you pay a lot and the consistency just isn't there. I've decided that it's worth the drive to Renton for better Thai food. I'm not going to say where because they are busy enough, lol.
Garlic chicken was nicely crispy but had too much sugar and salt.
Very expensive and small portions. It tastes regular regular too so don't be fooled by the gentrified sign out front
I will put it up against any of the Posh places. So much flavor you need extra rice.
They are closer than the 2 places DT or or in South Center I frequent.
Ordered the yellow curry and panang curry both with chicken and the boat soup noodles. The curries were creamy and delicious paired with rice. The panang curry is more light and fragrant due to the Thai basil but the yellow curry was more rich and savory. The portion sizes were very generous. The boat soup noodles was an acquired taste, with a tinge of sourness of the soup after adding the recommended sauce.
There was a very enthusiastic lady serving that was very kind, made us felt very welcome.
Super garbage compared to the Thai place north up the street. The 3 dishes I ordered wer all
Went in today Aug. 27th at their location in burien around 2pm and Service was straight trash . The guy at the front desk was too busy on his tablet, I was literally standing there for while till I told him if he was ready for me … then i had to repeat my order 3 times because he was to busy paying attention to his tablet so I said fucc this and walked out smh unbelievable
I would say it is the worst thia food I have had in the area. It was still fine but 21st out of 21
#love
The Phad See Iew (or however you spell it) was good. A little expensive if you ask me. The yellow curry was disappointing. It was runny, bland, and we barely got enough for two people and no leftovers. I’ve had better yellow curry in Mill Creek (among other places) with double the portion and for cheaper. I probably won’t order from here again. Sorry :(
I’ve ordered here many times and the food has always been worth the price. Today, I ordered my usual (minus one entree), and it was nearly the same price… and the crispy garlic chicken wasn’t at all like I’ve gotten before. Maybe it was a mistake? I’m not sure what happened, but it is a $15 entree and it was not the usual chicken, nor was it the portion I’ve gotten in the past. I will not be returning
Cramped with kitchen stuff stored everywhere. I have better places for Thai.
Food is just bad. Bland, no flavor. Worst pad thai i ve ever had :(
This place makes some of the best Thai food I've ever had. The Golden Noodle dish, Panang Curry, Fresh Spring rolls...all delicious. The peanut sauce is out of this world. Eat here, you will not regret it!
I ordered on Ubereats and asked to give me utensils cause I am a tourist who doesn’t have any. No utensil was given. Spent half an hour to get one. Food was fine. Delivery service sucks.
I agree with most of the reviews here, the portion size for what you pay was disappointing. If this place stayed a food truck/ trailer it would fit portion sizes better. I expect a little more food from a restaurant and was sad when I found out rice is not included with any of the curries. Spice level was great! Too much sweetener in the pad se ew.
We called in our pick-up order rather than using the third party app and had no issues
It was delicious price is good I recommend this place
Had pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and Tom yum soup it was all very delicious
I ordered 3 star chicken phad Thai. No spices, no flavor. Just bland and disappointing. First time getting food here. Not good.
I been searching and tried many Thai restaurant. This place's Holy Basil chicken is one of the best I had. Almost just like my mom's cooking. I am Thai and a super critic when it come to Thai food.
Paid $19 for curry and rice in photo. It was really delicious and had great flavors. Cleanliness and location of restaurant wasn’t bad but wasn’t the greatest either. I would recommend trying this place out.
The food is amazing but definitely the higher end prices and portion are considerably smaller than most this food restaurants but they are close so makes it worth it!
Good but wayyyyy too salty. I had to drink tons of water later. Restaurants need to lower the sodium.
It's better to order directly from them than from any ordering app. It's less expensive and you get your food faster.
If you see their food truck toolin' around, order there as well.
Their garlic chicken is outstanding, as is their pad thai. Their plum sauce for their spring rolls is absolutely heavenly.
We are from out of state, so an FYI to others planning to visit, they do “card” you for your vaccination records. If you have no record they will let you get take out 👍🏼
Good food , we will come back. Boat noodle soup is great.
Thanks for reading my google review.
I normally go to their food truck, but I think they have changed locations. The place is nice, clean, friendly staff and as always the food is delicious!
I went to eat here the other night and I really enjoyed the chicken curry! I will definitely go back and recommend Thai you up to a friend!
Incredible service. The staff was friendly, and even gave us samples of all the different types of curry. A small family run spot that is worth every penny.
Wonderful fried rice and garlic chicken! So tasty and reasonable prices.
Delicious food and gluten-free
We’ve ordered takeout from these guys a few times. Food is kind of expensive, but it’s pretty good. I was looking to order this evening since I was running an errand nearby. I saw an option to do an online order, so I tried that out. After I placed the order, I received an email that said it would take an hour before it would be ready. I don’t live very close by and didn’t want to spend an hour in their parking lot. I went in to confirm that it would be an hour and then asked to cancel. The lady said I had to call the company that does online orders. The emails I received about the order only listed the restaurant’s phone number. So I do some googling to find the number, call and then am placed on hold for several minutes. Finally I speak to someone and they say the restaurant needs to cancel the order, so they put me back on hold to call the restaurant. After several minutes they get back on the phone and say the person they spoke to wouldn’t cancel the order and that they will have to talk to a manager there. At this point, I’m not sure what is even happening. I plan on disputing the charge with my credit card company if we get charged. Long story short, don’t use the online ordering system on their website.
Small portions. And they added way too much sugar to the pad see yew
The food.... expensive for what you get. Crispy garlic chicken was neither crispy or garlicy and was over cooked and dry, sad. The golden noodles I ordered with beef (extra $) came in a big clump/wad the beef was tough and chewy one piece looked burned. The vegetables I really enjoyed, crispy yet slightly cooked. The peanut sauce for noodles reminded me more of peanut butter than a sauce, sweet creamy and peanuty. Portions were on the small side, white rice was just fine. Spice level was exactly how I ordered. People were friendly.
Ordered food to go. Price was extra high for what I got and the food quality just wasn't there. It was meh for the money I paid. I've had much better thai food at a lower price. Oh and they have won't let you use their restrooms. As I was walking by, I saw another Thai restaurant and felt I should've ordered there. I wouldn't return again as there are other better and cheaper options nearby.
Food is really good.
Ive had 5 different dishes and all very good. My favorite it the crispy garlic chicken
Gem of a Thai restaurant in Burien!
Go here if you want an ice cream scoop of pad thai for $10.80.
Decent price and food.
The store is amazing very friendly staff and great food couldn't ask for more. The valcano chicken was spot on and so flavorful with just the right amount of heat and the pad se ew was just as flavorful and the beef was cooked just right for the dish
Five out of five is very rare. I'm hard to impress!
My God, man, complex flavors are shocking, fresh, well balanced, and...perfect. It's literally perfect food. Best thing I've had in years. I got the first noodle on the menu. Something Mao. A hint of anise. I'm hard to impress... Way to go. Just wow. For those struggling to find something that hits the spot for the old man, this is it. Take him here. Edit: I got pad se ew.
Delicious Pad See Ew, the noodles were perfectly soft. I order no spicy bc I can’t handle spice and it was actually was not spicy at all!! (Which if I order at other Thai places their no spice can still make me sweat) Definitely ordering from this place again. Another customer came out with big order of Thai Teas, will have to try next!
Fast dinner pick-up (10 min), safety shields and masked staff.
I ordered fully vegetarian Meal
Meat was added smh!. I haven’t ate meat in 6 years and horrible experience
I gave Thai U Up three tries, each one disappointing. First, portion size - so small. I ordered a curry and I kid you not, when I took the solid ingredients out of the container, it barely made a dent in the water-like curry sauce/soup. I was left with a green water sauce that ended up going to waste. Next, spices - I don't know what they put on my last order but it was so salty sweet that it was inedible. I had to throw it away. Finally, rice doesn't come with curry/nor do they have brown rice. I can't justify going here again when there are other options that taste better and give me more bang for my buck.
If you like Thai food, it's a good place for quick and easy pick up .
This place is great! Get the crispy garlic chicken
Food is delicious and quality is consistent! I was also pleased to see them ask someone to go back for a face mask when they entered the restaurant without one.
The food is amazing! Try the Crispy Garlic chicken. Favorite for take out.
Best thai food we had so far in Burien!
10 out of 10. Spice level was a 3 and delicious. Meal was well balanced with meat veggies, and noodles. Excited to have a thai restaurant near home. Will be supporting this place during covid times! Also they threw in free eggrolls/springs the last time we went. Ill be seeing you soon!
Best Thai food in the area! My mom is Thai so I know good Thai food!
Try their crispy garlic chicken or "crack" chicken as we call it!
The food is edible and definitely what some people are looking for in their "Thai" food, but it is a far cry from true Thai. They're kind of like the Panda Express of Thai food. Super fast, extra sweet, and fewer authentic ingredients to appeal to a wider audience. Lack of shrimp paste and other essential base flavors really makes some of the dishes pale to other restaurants around. Excellent customer service every time. Definitely a go-to in a pinch, but not where I would take anyone to impress!
I really enjoyed the place. The people there were extremely nice and knowledgeable about the restaurant and food truck. The food is fresh and very high quality.
You however are not able to get red curry from the good truck. You can only get it at the main restaurant.
Both locations use square which is a payment option.
Asked to take shrimp paste off an order, responded with can’t remove ingredient. And wouldn’t take my order???? Just don’t put the paste on the chicken?????? Seems pretty incompetent to me.
Excellent.
I'm so happy Thai-u-up opened up a brick and mortar store! I've been going to the food truck for years, and the food has always been stellar. Their delivery tonight was excellent. I especially like the fresh vegetables I added on to my noodle dish. Yum!
The pad thai was delicious and very flavorful. We also had crispy garlic chicken that was perfectly cooked. However, the curry we ordered was not great for the price.
We were very surprised to see that the panang curry came in such a small container. Compared to other thai restaurants in the area, the container only held about half as much curry for the same price. Not only was the size an issue, the only ingredients used in it were green peppers and chicken. We are used to having other veggies along with these ingredients. The flavor was decent, but the sauce was very thin.
Likely we will not return because we felt that other thai restaurants in the area give us more bang for our buck, while still having delicious food.
pad thai was amazing
Food was great
Very disgusting food! There are lot of cockroach all over this place even inside the customer’s food! Yes the cockroach is inside my Chicken Padthai! I called them about this but they refused to give me a refund! I had to throw the food away!
First time visit. The service was quick and super friendly. I asked for a recommendation and she was spot on, I liked the Taro Spring Rolls! In addition to the entrees I ordered, I found an extra Pad Thai in my bag with the message "Extra" and a smiley face. The Pad Thai was very good, and it was a very sweet gesture. I will definitely be returning. The Yellow Curry was spectacular and I can see myself craving it again soon.
One of the worst food experiences to date. We ordered the pad see ew, volcano chicken, steamed veggies and a Thai tea. The pad see ew was inedible. It smelled very old, and tasted like wet hay. No exaggeration, tended to horses growing up, its a distinct scent. The volcano chicken tasted very dry and old, like it had been refried. Also overly sweet with no spice despite request for level 3. Steamed veggies were about the only thing enjoyable. My Thai tea was extremely sweet. Essentially nothing was fresh, nothing had spice, and everything was over sugared. If you are looking for something fresh, look elsewhere. Very disappointed, $36 dollars wasted.
Would not recommend
Ordered pad gra pao 5 star spicy with tofu and a side of rice. Food was not spicy at all, the tofu was mediocre at best but the veggies seemed undercooked with next to no seasoning. To top it off the rice was so soggy I just gave it to my dog. Lots of good Thai in the area but not here.
Delicious! The Volcano chicken is amazing, perfect balance of sweet and spicy, it’s one of my biggest cravings. Garlic chicken is also great. Pad see ew with tofu is super tasty, and the Thai Iced Tea is fantastic. 10/10 will be eating consistently.
Awful customer service. Called about an incorrect order and was hung up on with zero resolution. Please go to Vatsanna’s instead. Way better food, bigger portions, more affordable, and better customer service.
Some of the beat Thai food you can get in the Seattle area. Highly recommend eating here or having them cater.
We ordered A curry dish a few weeks back ... we asked for spice level 3. It was so hot we couldn’t eat it. Tonight we thought we’d try again. We ordered the Panang Curry with a spice level of 1. Again, the dish is inedible from the heat. No more chances! We also ordered the Swimming Rama with Chicken. We got 3 small slices of chicken on a small bed of spinach ... the peanut sauce is so hot and over spiced ... again, we can’t eat it. Very Disappointing! We won’t be ordering from this restaurant again.
I wish that I could say it was better because all of the good reviews, but my boyfriend and I ordered this through ubereats delivery, and we both got horribly sick with food poisoning. The food was good but that was just a horrible experience.
Great food! Love great gluten free options.
Unorganized, messy and dirty place and they are in their grand opening!? The pad thai and crispy garlic chicken was about a 2 star too..
Hands down, the best Chicken Pad Thai around the Sound. I ordered here for the first time today and was very pleased when I received a SPICY 5 stars. I love my spice and no where else has been able to come close to the flavor and heat this meal had. I placed my order on Uber Eats and asked for it to be as spicy as they could make it. Not only did the meal have some serious heat, she threw in a her homemade chili sauce (oil?) which was INCREDIBLE. Extremely fiery and did not alter the flavor of the pad Thai. Also, I had some issues with Uber on the payment and when I called, the lady the answered was so friendly and helpful. This was an all around great experience and I will be a loyal customers for the years to come.
Finally with all the thai restaurants in Burien I found the best. Tasty, large portion and fast service.
Food tasted really good. But the portions were small $100 worth of food barely fed 3 people.
We ordered the Pad Thai w/ chicken and Crispy Garlic chicken. They were delicious!!! Both were large servings and well priced compared to other Thai restaurants. Very friendly and pleasant staff, as well as quick service. We will definitely be back! Go try them if you’re looking for a new Thai place to try!
Loved the place.
It happens that Thai food is delicious
And this place has the perfect flavors but I wont go much for the appetizers their a little expensive and portion very small.
But some of the food is delicious.
Great food. Fresh veggies.
I say best Thai food in Burien. Worth the drive since I'm in South Burien. Prices are fair. Food is good. I had the chicken pad Thai was very tasty and the Tom yum soup 4 stars was just right a little more onion than I like and sugar but cannot complain about flavor. Great place fast on to go order. Nice guys. Will comeback for more.
Food taste was great and came out quickly. Staff was friendly. Price was ok. For the price i would expect sit down table service instead of order-at-the-counter. But, we will be going back for sure because the food was fresh and tasted awesome. Will probably get take-out and eat at home next time.
Love this place great food and good prices
Super delicious!
So Incredible! We are hooked and think it’s near the best Thai places in all of Seattle
Maybe the best Pad See Ew I have ever had. Careful on the stars though it runs a bit hot.
Delicious Thai food. Perfect Thai iced tea as well. Highly recommend 👍😋
Small shop, great flavor. Lacks ample parking but my new favorite spot. Reasonable cost, good portions.
This place is awesome. I love Yellow Curry and all my favorite Thai places don't have Yellow very often. This place is close to work and delicious! Little spicier compared to other Thai restaurant's "spice" scale, so if you usually get a 3 other places get a 2 here. Totally delicious otherwise!
The best! Never had a bad meal and I have a fairly large sample size having had most of the menu, and some of the staples many times.
P.s. thnx for being open Christmas Eve! Total holiday saver
So happy a Thai place opened up in Burien. I haven’t had good experiences from other Thai restaurants... portion is good, quality is good, customer service is good! One of my go to places now!
The best pad Thai we’ve had! Wonderful and a good portion.
Food was great. Excellent value!
Little. Pricey....and food taste.not good....but They are friendly....
My wife and I love this place!
Overpriced for the amount of food. Ordered a pad thai and pad mee kmao, came in a very small container. pad thai had RICE in it as well. really good pad thai tho. would recommend krungthep since they give double the serving for the same price.
Food truck turned restarant. Affordable delicious Thai Street Food.
