Great service and tasty food
I dined in at Thai Thyme for lunch on a weekday. This restaurant is 5 mins away from where I work and I can’t believe I’ve never tried it until now.
Food: I ordered the red curry shrimp which came with white rice, Thai iced tea and fried wontons. I wish I took a pic of the tea and wontons but I didn’t. Both were delicious. The tea came layered with some type of milk on top which after mixed in made the tea taste sweet and great. The fried wontons were small balls and there were about 5-6 wontons with a sweet chili sauce. The red curry shrimp was the star. It was a perfect blend of spicy and well seasoned. The spiciness was not overpowering and I could taste the coconut milk in it. I do wish the dish came with more rice as I finished the rice and still had. A lot of curry left.
Service: the service was great! I will say, I came to the restaurant about 20 mins after they opened and it was empty therefor I do expect great service. They allowed me to sit where I wanted and immediately brought a bottle of still water to the table. My server checked on me often and was very attentive, even as more customers came in for lunch.
Atmosphere: the restaurant was decorated nicely. It’s small but there is a good amount of seating without it feeling too cramped. They also have a full bar available to sit as well.
I would definitely come back to dine here again
Cute little restaurant with super clean setting and nice patio seating areas . They even have a heater lamp pole during cold seasons if you chose to be outdoors. Service was excellent the first time we were there last year and staffs were friendly. Food was excellent when we went last year.
Update 04/01/24 : we loved the food so much we ordered carry out but was a little disappointed. Food doesn't taste the same anymore. New cook possibly ? Food was more bland and not as balanced. Thai basil fried rice had only a few basil leaves and was a very small portion. We also asked specifically to hold certain vegetables out and they still left it in there. Not sure if it was an English barrier.
We also ordered chicken larb which is like a mince chicken salad with lime juice fish sauce and roast rice powder... this came out a tad too sweet. Also they added in some chopped lettuce pieces and julienne carrots mixed in to the salad and I feel there were not much chicken in there.
Both orders were extremely small portioned.
Restaurant was clean and restroom was clean and updated. 5 star for the atmosphere. Service was extremely quick. Our order was done within about 7-10minutes but then it was a small order.
The service and did are Excellent! There is a huge outdoor dining area with big and small tables, with umbrellas. The only thing keeping the food from 5 stars is that I prefer they'd add more vegetables. The outdoor seats need full cushions for seats and back. Customers are sitting too low in comparison to the table. A+ on ambiance, service & flavor! We'll be back.
The food was good, and environment was nice and the staff was very friendly.
But unfortunately, I am unable to give more stars because I need this post to stand out due to a life threatening situation we experienced.
When eating here, please ensure your food does not have metal wires in it. Our soup had a metal wire in it (perhaps from a metal scrub). I have pictures of the soup and the metal wire attached.
My colleagues and I used to frequent this establishment due to its location and quality of food. However, after our take-out order today, I won't be coming back. Our group of colleagues ordered thai curry, basil fried rice, and pad thai today and to be frank, it was the first time I had to throw my food away. The rice was very dry and stale, chicken and pork was also dry, and the pad thai noodles were clumped. We were upset today because we know how good their food is when its made fresh but honestly its been a downhill for these past few months. I'm not sure if they store their excess food and microwave or re-heat it next day to sell it to their customers but I won't be coming back.
Me & my husband been trying to come here, but we always missed because they closed after lunch and open again for dinner, so better check the time online before coming here. But anyways it was good trying again & again, finally, we had Basil seafood fried rice which is really good and so rich in flavor, also we had drunken noodles and tastes liked authentic Thai, and last we had shrimp tempura which tastes ok but didn't like it that much even comes with a sweet & sour sauce, didn't taste like it goes together.
But overall service is good the atmosphere and of course the food definitely recommend for you to try if around the area or if craving for some Thai food.
Came here while visiting and it was pretty solid. The pad thai was really good, seemed to be made with tamarind like it was supposed to. I ordered it a 2 hot and woooweee it had a kick! I had a couple tears but it was worth it. Had some shrimp summer rolls, they served with a sauce that was okay. I'm used to a peanut sauce, but it wasn't bad. They were very fresh. I also had chicken tom kha soup. This had alot of chicken and big chunks of mushroom and chili oil and it was really good. I only wish it had more coconut milk in it to get some more of the coconut taste and also be creamier. The service was really good and they had seating outside and inside. It was a pretty cool setup they had. Overall a solid place, and I would definitely return! Thanks guys!

Good Thai food.
This is really a bad place.
Bad restaurant.
Terrible service at this restaurant. Did is sub standard.
Service sucks. Run away
Terrible. Never coming here again
Solid spot
Food was very well done. Ordered green curry , red curry, Eggplant Chicken , Drunken Noodles and BasilFried rice. Food came very quickly.
Being Monday night we were then only ones.
Usually the crew is very friendly, but today it seemed like rushed and hurried. They were on us to order and pack and wipe the table.
Felt very hurried and not comfortable at all.
Lesser learned for us... don't go in a Monday !!
We ordered some food and told them in advance " medium spicy", "no onions-scallions-shallots". Guess what we found in our food? Very spicy food and some scallions. Everything ended in the trash.
Great service and tasty food

Great selection of food.
The food was really great, came out warm and could tell it was made recently. Every time I go the food teste fresh. Good flavor and good portions, my favorite is the pad see ew !
Our whole family loved our lunch at Thai Time. The food (yellow curry, pad see ew, and crying tiger) was delicious. Definitely recommend!
I got the PAD-SEE-EW as a to go order and it was absolutely terrible. The dish was bland and lacked any flavor the beef was tough and chewy and also flavorless. Had this cost 6 or 8 dollars I'd be less upset but at 16.95 is this unacceptable. Do better!
Ordered drunken noodles and crab wontons for dinner, I have to say the noodles were delicious. The mango mousse desert was awesome too .
Took 3 chicken pad thai to go. I can see why the ratings here have gone down. Minimal chicken to be found in each dish, but what chicken was there was very dry and like leather... blah! Pad thai also lacked taste and was very dry. There are lots of better options nearby.
Very pretty little restaurant. I live down the street so ive been here twice now. I am no longer eating meat and I decided Id try their veggie dumplings and fried eggplant & a side of rice.... omg so goooood
Forgot to take a pic BEFORE digging in, but the sauce with the eggplant is SO good & they gave a good portion :)
Food was great as were service & drinks. Definitely will be going back!
I’m been going here for years. The taste has declined over time, and the portions has decreased drastically, now you can count the number of pieces of chicken they gave you. For the record I had 4 pieces of chicken in my Drunken noodles. Won’t be going back, need new tho spot.
Food was great! Had a not so great interaction with the server. I’ll spare the details but will say I’ve never had a server snap at us the way that she did after we made a few requests for utensils and other things. It made the entire rest of the dinner very uncomfortable. All this to say, food is great but make sure you don’t ask too much of the servers.
If you like bugs and metal in your food go here
Atmosphere is super casual, I felt very comfortable, it was very authentic!! I was sooo pleased w lunch, all the flavors in every dish we ordered really wowed me
The waitresses have an incredibly rude attitude. Never coming back here again
Excellent food service and atmosphere. The food is always hot, fresh, and served quickly. The servers are all super nice and I love the place itself . The inside is nicely decorated with a lovely outdoor area.
Left the restaurant hungry and chicken was a bit gamey, indicating old cooked chicken. Will not be returning.

One of the best Thai food in this area... Have been there several times and never disappointed. We love their Yellow Curry, Basil fried rice, chicken satay, Mango sticky rice, kung pao chicken and more. Great quality, taste and consistent. Great for family... they also got some nice cocktails
Delicious food and friendly service. Relaxing atmosphere with soft music to instill a chillax vacation vibe. i love the chicken pad Thai and the pork Kaprow.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in NOVA !
okay - so I missed the happy hour by 6' and that was a costly few minutes - the cocktail (which was amazing) ended up costing more than the food... that said, dang... their food was awesome! My friend had the Crying Tiger and he didn't share it with anyone - he vacuumed it - it must have been great... I had the Pad Thai with Tofu. yup. They nailed it. Delicious.
I had dinner last night. I ordered padthai noodle. I was very disappointed . Chicken was hard and unfresh smell and tofu was dry and very salty.I was wondering who was the chef. That’s why there weren’t Asian customers.
I had lunch at Thai Thyme on 2/21/24. Ordered Green Curry with Chicken, and it was the worst thai food I have had. The chicken in the curry was very DRY and CHEWY and curry gravy itself was watery. We also ordered vegetable spring rolls and it looked the rolls were fried in some used/old oil and it tasted bad! Hope dishes are better next time I go.
I've eaten in and taken out a couple times over the past year or so and had some great food although I haven't tried many different dishes. It's a nice place, inside and out, but the staff don't do it justice. After reading through other reviews my guess is the management overworks their employees. I decided a few months back to go for a run and then swing by for a meal on the way back home. My mother called in an order for me as I left to go run - 30 minutes before closing. It's one thing to pickup the phone and say you are closing down early or aren't taking orders within 30 minutes of close... but that didn't happen. They ignored every call attempt and I didn't know the order hadn't been received since my mother tried at it and eventually gave up. While on my way home I stop by to pickup the order (5-10 minutes before closing) and the staff then quickly told me they were closing and never received any order - making me think that I was in the wrong. I really don't care what goes wrong when it comes to any customer service interaction, but being honest would be nice...
Got takeout for the first time. Crab wontons were way overcooked, as were the edamame. Panang was fine, nothing special. Wouldn’t really recommend, but the atmosphere looked decent.
Awesome fast food always ready on time for quick for online orders. I Frequency come here never had a bad experience.
I do not recommend the seafood pad tai, the squid and scallops were too overcooked. The manager was nice enough to switch my order upon request. The shrimp pad tai was amazing! The sauce is to die for and the shrimp were cooked perfectly.
Great food. Very good service.
One of our favorite Thai restaurants in the area. Great food and great service! Atmosphere is not bad as well.
The staff is unprofessional and they completely sterotyped me from when I arrived. The owner/chef came out and literally attacked me by yelling and threatening to call the police without even knowing the circumstance and then had to after he did all those attics apologize to me because his staff was weong and didn't know proper protocol. Lack of training on their part not on mine. You dare not try to belittle a woman in public without know all the facts.
All around subpar food.
I am truly a review snob and this place does have mixed reviews. Typically I pass on mixed review restaurants because one thing I do not like to do is waste my money. However me and a friend decided to check them out yesterday evening. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. We had Spring Rolls, Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai.
Great local Thai spot! For fellow vegetarians, I recommend the summer rolls, tofu soup (so flavorful), and red curry with tofu! Their dumplings need some work, but overall, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean.
I have been a regular customer at this restaurant since they have been opened around 2021 until today. the lady who served with a high attitude was treating me harshly during afternoon hours likely because they were closing at that time. I ordered soups to g, however they did not properly close the lid of the food and it leaked all over my brand new car. I let that go because I thought it’s my fault since I didn’t see it wasn’t properly sealed and tried to eat the rest of the food. however I saw a piece of hair tangled in broccoli. I went to return the food, and it was 2:30 which meant they were closed. the guy came out to open the door for me and yelled at me stating the kitchen is closed and used foul language and stated “the customer lies to get money back”, when in fact the food was nearly full except for the bit that spilled . the manager gave me a refund, but the guy was so rude and disrespectful. I was being cussed out and disrespected. all I wanted was a refund because of the hair, but I was treated so harshly. worst customer service I have received. it is not worth your time or money do not go here.
THEY DO NOT DESERVE ONE STAR BUT I HAD TO PUT ATLEAST ONE ON FOR THE WEBSITE
Ordered the Chicken Fried Rice w/ no tomato today for delivery via DD. This was the second time trying Thai Tyme. The first time was great. The food was fresh, hot and flavorful. Lots of chicken in the fried rice. Today's order was more like onion fried rice with some chicken in it. Don't get me wrong. I don't mind onions in my fried rice, however today was over the top. You can see the size of the onions in my photo. That was after I ate some. I did finish the dish as everything still tasted well. There were just too many onions.
Food is good but the portion is very little
Walked in on a Sunday at 2. Their hours state they close at 3. Place was empty which was a bit odd when nearby restaurants were all pretty crowded. A woman told us as we came in that they’re closing shortly (1 hour is not shortly) and we could only do take out.
Food was amazing along with the drinks!
This is nice small cozy place. But food isn’t great. They really need to up the game if they want to beat some really good thai restaurants in the area.
Excellent food — will recommend.
Horrible customer service for an average tasting thai place. Would not return
Absolutely delicious
1/5
Place is not family friendly.
We came in from the market across the street, excited to try out a new place. Our young kids were very hungry (too hungry for the usual 20 minute or so wait that you usually have with restaurants) so we told them if they were good they could share a donut while we ordered the food and waited.
We were told the kids could not have outside food (at all). So we took our $100 spend tonight to a neighboring Tex-Max place.
Super frustrating! What would it have hurt to let us take care of our kids while waiting for our dinner?
Workers are so sweet! Great environment, very homey. Food is amazing! I love the Pad Thai. The drinks are well made. Great Thai food!!
My mom is Thai so I’m usually unimpressed by most Thai restaurants in America. I can tell you that the quality of food here is better than everywhere else I’ve tried in the DMV area. I recently took my mom here for Mother’s Day, and the service was also excellent.
My only criticism is the portion sizes, but all Thai restaurants in America are guilty of that.
Pure horrible and uncouth staff.
We walked in for lunch and were seated.
We were looking at the menu ready to order when a staff member came and told us to leave because that table reservation folks arrived.
Appalling how table guests were told to just leave.
How horrible can they get!
Really enjoyable Thai restaurant. Don’t sleep on the cocktails, the bartender is excellent!! I always test new Thai restaurants with Tom Kha soup, if it makes you pucker they did it wrong. On the money here as was everything else we ordered.
The food is good. The decor is different. I wasn't expecting skeletons.
A hidden gem near us! Beautiful, upscale decor with wonderful service and moderate prices. And great Thai food as well! PAD Thai was perfect. This will be our new local escape!!
Food is unbelievably good everytime, and everyone that works there couldn't be nicer. Do yourself a favor and check it out
If you want authentic Thai food, this isn’t the place, more like a Thai version of Applebees. No sticky rice? Food wasn’t terrible but not worth the price. Not coming back.
Got the dish which we did not order. Waiter insisted that we had placed that specific order. They could have easily replaced the dish but I guess they do not understand what customer service is. Even when we were eating the waiter almost started picking up the dishes. We had to repeat that we are not done yet.
Unfriendly staff except for the guy at the bar.
Can't believe I haven't come here before! Food was delicious, service was wonderful, aesthetic inside the restaurant was so cool. Coming back soon!
There were strands of hair in my food or drink on 3 various occasions I was there. I stopped going.
UPDATE:
I went again a year later from my initial review and I am deeply disappointed. The pineapple fried rice was not good. It was more like steamed rice with sauce. I'm almost 100% certain that canned pineapple was used. It was pale, mushy, and watery, and did not taste anything like pineapple. I'm also very upset that the shrimp in my dish were not properly cleaned. I'm personally not a fan of eating digestive tracts. Absolutely NOT worth the price.
**This is a review in regards to ordering through their website for take-out.
Their website was easy to navigate and place an order. The one thing I did not like was that after you place the order it will say something like 'pick in x minutes'. I'm watching the page waiting for the time to go down, or show an estimated time that my order would be ready. I realized after about 10 minutes that the website does not show real time updates. Just something to keep in mind since most websites allow you to view real time the status of your order.
I ordered the veggie green curry which I was initially turned off by when I saw it because it was very pale compared to other green curries I've had. It was good despite the odd color, but not the best I've ever had. It wasn't nearly spicy enough for me, so I know for my next visit I'll have to ask for extra spice.
I also got the veggie dumplings. I appreciate that these dumplings are handmade as opposed to restaurants that use frozen processed dumplings.
I was only in the restaurant briefly to pick up my food but the interior was attractive.
In the future I will probably dine in person since the bar seems to have a nice collection, but I am unlikely to order take out again.
We are coming here from Leesburg VA, this is the best thai food in the area.
Worst take out we have ever had. We ordered green curry CHICKEN and and panang CHICKEN. When we open the take out containers there was barely any chicken. They placed only curry sauce in containers with 3 thin strips of chicken. UNACCEPTABLE, l would not recommended this place to anyone. Not to mention they are also careless about what they have done, not even simple sorry. Worse food worse customer service
Nice quaint aesthetic. Space is smaller than expected but when the weather is nicer I'm sure it's nice to sit out in the patio space. I ordered the Lunch Special Pad Thai with Chicken that came with a side salad. The side salad had a pleasant house dressing with a little kick.
The Pad Thai was...curious. The flavor had a tinge of sweetness to it that was unexpected but negligible. The texture of the Pad Thai was what I could only describe as "wet". Maybe everyone else is making their Pad Thai too dry, I don't know. Either way I chalked the wetness up to a one-off. I may have a more definitive answer to the excessive moisture of their dishes if I make a return trip. Will try the fried rice next time.
The food is great and reasonably priced. Our server didn't come back to check on us after our food came, which was a bummer because I would have liked soy sauce. The place has a nice, warm atmosphere, which is great on a cool evening. There is also a heated outdoor section which looks nice.
This is my second time here, the food here is fantastic, highly recommended! The service was quick. If you think that you want soy sauce, ask before they leave your table because they are pretty busy here. I had the Ka Prow with beef and definitely want it again.
I recently had the opportunity to try out Thai Thyme which I was excited to try for a while. Unfortunately, when I got home and sat down to eat, I was extremely disappointed with the flavor of the food. It was flavorless and unappetizing, which was especially frustrating considering the cost of the meal.
I was really hoping to enjoy this restaurant, as Thai food is usually one of my favorites. However, the lack of flavor in the dishes was a major letdown. It's unfortunate that the meal didn't live up to my expectations, but I hope that in the future the restaurant will be able to improve the flavor of their dishes. Despite the disappointment, I still try to be polite and understand that not every dining experience can be perfect.
4/5.
Went here for lunch with a friend as we were looking for new lunch spots to eat during the weekdays. Thai Tyme is very close to where we work so why not give it a try. For a quick TLDR, food was average, service was good, atmosphere was very nice.
The Food: For lunch, I went with the tried and true Pad Thai, with a Tom Yum soup as an appetizer. The Pad Thai was good, but nothing about it had a wow factor. The noodles were kind of "wet" when they were served which was a little weird to me it could've just been that day. However, taste was just average. The Tom Yum soup was delicious and the flavor was very rich.
The Service: The service was good. The staff were friendly and our orders were brought out in a timely manner.
The Atmosphere: The restaurant was nicely decorated and the place was very clean.
Overall, a 4/5. The Food was little average compared to other Thai restaurants I've had, but the service and decor made up for it.
All good except the service that didn't really paid attention at all!
Loved Basil Fried Rice Thai Spice level.
It’s really spicy 🌶️
This restaurant is awesome. They have great food and very good service.
Great food and service. Definitely will visit again when we're in the area.
Food is pretty good. Service and dinnung room are both excellent.
Wonderful experience! They had it all. Amazing cocktails, food, ambiance, and service. Beautiful place, every detail of the restaurant was thought out and well done. Both May and Benz were absolutely wonderful and made the experience that much more enjoyable. I would recommend anyone who enjoys Thai food to come here. I will 100% be coming back!
My wife and I visited the other day for a quick lunch date, and this restaurant was wonderful! The service was so fast and friendly, I could write an entire review on just how finely tuned this place is. On top of that the Thai food itself might be some of the best in the surrounding 10mi area.
I had Pad See Ew, and my wife had Pad Thai. We both loved our dish and the level of spice, and it took maybe 7min from order to it being delivered at our table. The salad appetizer was top notch and honestly the dressing was amazing. We'll definitely be back again!
Kudos to this establishment!
Thai Tyme is a fantastic restaurant! It's definitely one of the best that I've tried in the Northern Virginia area (I don't frequent Alexandria or Arlington). I've eaten here at least 7 times by now, each time we ate inside the restaurant. My kids had 'Chicken Fried Rice' and enjoyed it. I had Drunken Noodles and it was the best that I've ever had. My wife had the 'Chicken Kaprow' and she loved it. The Crab Wontons were great and came out nice and warm. Great ambience inside the restaurant and the staff terrific! Highly recommend this restaurant!
I went to Thai Thyme last night because I was craving fried rice and ordered their crab fried rice extra spicy and an order of chicken fried rice. I was so disappointed. They were friendly and the food was prepared quickly but my rice has zero spice and for that matter zero flavor. Both rice dishes barely even had salt in them. They were so flavorless and underwhelming it was heartbreaking. I really want to like the place bc it’s very cute and clean and the people friendly but the food was the blandest I’ve had in a while.
Had a few times and the food is good. Vegetarian options are nice and they do a good job by keeping the fish oil out. However, the Chantilly location is small and they aren't able to quite keep up with a large group. Service gets patchy.
The Manassas location has excellent food tho. It's tucked in off the main highways, but I do love their food, service and ambience!
We all had appetizers and they were delicious. Curry Puffs, Spring Rolls, Satay, and more. Absolutely beautiful presentation
CLean place with good service but food taste is not good.
They readily accommodate you inside or on their patio., which is where we enjoy sitting. Food is very good.. Comes quickly and hot temp from the kitchen... Have enjoyed several meals here.
Good food, lots of flavors. A bit expensive.
I’ve been a long time customer of their Manassas location. The food is very comparable ( excellent ) and they always have fresh Sapporo on draft which is a plus. Can be as spicy or as mild as you need it. Will be coming by here more often as I’m the area
Clean place with great food and service. Food tastes fresh and we have loved all we have tried. I like the pork dumplings and crispy beef. My kids like the shrimp fried rice and ginger chicken. Highly recommend for a date night or with family. It is flavorful and fresh! We also like the outside eating option. Kids hop the wall and play in grassy area while we wait for food.
4th time at this fairly new restaurant. This is based on 1 same dish ordered each time. 1st was great although a bit on sweet side. 2nd and 3rd were less sweet but a bit more on salty side. 4th just plain verging on not good... What gives? Services were good. Settings are nice. Airy yet cozy. Hopefully the flavors going back up!
It had great reviews that why I went there dinner one night with my husband. Food was good and couple weeks later our office wanted Thai food for lunch and I made a suggestion to order from Thai Tyme, the whole office love it and we were going to make it for our favorite Thai restaurant until yesterday 06/17/2022 I took my daughter there for lunch and waitress told me that they are very busy and closing soon I can order online to go instead. What a disappointment that they can serve customers because they busy! I don’t care how good your food is but it can be a BETTER THAI RESTAURANT IN TOWN WITH BETTER SERVICE AND FOOD!
Good service, but should not bring the check before it is requested. Chive dumplings were unique and superb.
Decided to try this place being close to home 'en all. I ordered pad thai, seafood kaprow and dumplings. Really no way to sugar coat it, but the food was NOT good. The seafood(shrimp, scallops, squid) in both dishes was funky/foul/rancid/stinky. Hopefully no one else experience what we did on a Friday night. The dumpling was ok, store bought that they pop in the microwave pour soy and lots of sugar.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE... DISAPPOINTING BECAUSE THE AMBIENCE HAVE POTENTIAL...
Foods were good but not really friendly staffs. Also didn't pay attention to place the order when we asked no egg, no onion turned out egg and onion on our plates.
When one of us took a slice of ginger candy on the counter which we thought it's for free, the staff's face was .... and took the ginger candy jar away in appropriate way.
We were thank you for the service, the waiter didn't respond back .. "you're welcome" or "pleasure". Seems like we come to beg for foods.
Quick and excellent service. Went during the lunch hour and was treated very well. Food was delicious and worth the price.
I went here for dinner on Friday and everything was diecious! I had the red curry which wasn't as spicy as I'm used to but it was still really good. The egg rolls and fried wontons were amazing and the presentation off all of the food was beautiful. I will definitely be back in the near future to try out more of their menu! Highly recommend giving this place a try.
The food is good, but pricey for what you get. Ordered Kapow shrimp, Kapow beef and Kapow chicken. Got home and opened the Kapow shrimp to find 6 shrimp, seriously 6 shrimp. Portions are small.
Food was light and flavorful. Atmosphere was pleasant. Service was good.
I'm a regular here now. The bartender WEE, is awesome! Makes the drinks justtt right.
The food is authentic as well. Service is a hit or a miss at times though. Hopefully they will improve this.
Thanks Wee for your humble hospitality!
Loved their Ambience . But Customer Service, down south and much below par . People who helped us on the menu and food service were pretty worse , rude and what not.
First when i entered the restaurant the first thing i called out is Vegeterian and hence we dont want any of our food containing Egg/Meat/Fish Sauce on it . She warmly acknowledged it and gave us the water and picked the starters order.
Starters came and Tom yum Soup was tasting good but , pretty cold and not hot . We ignored and had our Spring rolls , Steamed Veggies and Veg Dumplings. I liked the dumplings and its rare to get anywhere vegetable dumplings. And then i ordered our Main course ( where the issue started)
We ordered Green Curry with Rice and Panang noodles for our main course. Also we asked for a Fried rice Veg and mentioned on side. When i saw panang Noodles it had Egg in it . When asked about egg in it, they replaced with another one but found that there is some uncooked spices smell and it tasted bad. When i mentioned it they said ok and removed it. Clearly they didnt like it when i commented on the food . Also instead of a side Fried rice order they gave main rice .
When asked for the check they gave the full bill for everything and claimed that i ate half of the noodles and hence they wont do anything which wasn't true. She also blamed me on the orders that i gave wrongly and im manipulating . Asked if i can talk to manager she said " its me" talk to me first. They also blamed me that i'm lying.
Clearly that was one of the devastating birthday dinner i have ever went. We constant eat and try many Thai restaurants on our area and these guys are the worst on the behaviour and service part.
Great food, honestly the best Thai food I've had. Curry Thai was great!
Food is delicious and service was awesome. Nice ambiance. Restaurant was pretty busy when our group came for dinner on Saturday night but we got a table and our drinks/food quickly. We had pad thai, drunken noodle, kaprow beef all of which we would recommend. Will definitely return.
Pretty solid option for Thai food in Northern Virginia. Please note that I am not Thai, and claim no real expertise, but I know what I like. The menu here offers the typical assortment of Thai noodle, rice, and curry dishes with varying degrees of heat. Pretty standard, but well prepared and flavorful. The service was prompt and friendly, and the waitress we had was proactive and responsive without feeling like she was hovering over us. The atmosphere was interesting. Modern, clean, and pleasant, and not overboard with a Thai decorating theme. My family enjoyed sitting in this space, and we were very comfortable. We did see tables being sanitized between guests, and all the staff were masked at all times. Thai Time is a good choice when you are in the mood for Thai in the Chantilly area.
Nice new addition to the Westfields eatery.
Disappointing Thai food and service. Ordered the wonton soup and they brought it with no wontons. When I asked if there should be wontons he said yes, and spent another 15mins bringing a new soup with two small wontons. Food was meh. Service terrible. Don't waste your money here. Ocha down the street is better.
Went to get takeout dinner there. Asked for vinegar and pepper sauce. They brought me crushed red pepper flakes. Checked the bag, they forgot an item. After offering to comp it for the mistake, the guy changed his mind. Laughable business, will be closed soon as there's plenty of other better alternatives
Highly recommended.
I'm a big lover of Thai food. This place is new and by my home and I'm so thrilled about their menu. Currently the best Drunken noodles I've ever had. The noodles have a grilled flavor to them! SOOOO GOOD!! Love their drink menu as well!! Spicy Mango Margarita is my fav!!
Tried this for the first time. We did takeout for our anniversary and were excited to give this new place a try. Staff was very friendly when placing the order and at pickup time. Seems on the pricy end for the quantity offered and the taste was not wow. Better Thai options available within driving distance for a better price.
The interior of the restaurant looks clean and inviting, and it's very attractively designed and decorated. The spring rolls were great, though a bit small. The pad thai and pineapple fried rice were very bland. I'll say this is potentially due to recent supply chain issues, but something (I'm guessing the peanuts) tasted very stale in the pad thai. There was no spice to anything. So great ambiance, but bland food. Go for drinks and spring rolls.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. The server was very friendly.
If you are looking for amazing Thai food in the chantilly area this is the spot for you! The drunken noodles are my absolute favorite dish here! And the cocktails are delicious as well! And to top it all off the service was amazing! Any restaurant that has opened amidst a pandemic deserves all the credit!
Excellent. Pad thai, Tom yum and green curry. Best Thai in the area. Always come back here. And they have Thai beer. Ace. Good work
We had a wonderful experience at Thai Tyme. Great ambiance, great and friendly service, food was excellent! Highly recommend!
Visited recently and had a great experience. Everything we ordered was delicious and the cocktails were great as well! The services was excellent, especially for a new restaurant. This will definitely become our go-to spot for Thai, and I’m particularly excited to sit in their outdoor area for our next visit!
Excellent food and ambience. Can't wait to go again
3rd visit. Food is good, but they still don't have their act together so their customer service is non existent at this point.
When me and my husband arrive I took 10 minutes to get a table, another 10 minutes for waitres to come around with menus and bring drinks after we place our order some more people came in they got serve first it took a long hour to see everyone else being serve but us, we were forgotten siting there with no one checking or doing anything about our order , another waitres came and ask us if we order already or are ready to place the order, there we decided to walk to bar register ta paid for our sodas and leave with no food and a bad service experience
Delicious food in a lovely atmosphere! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean. Love the patio are as well! The food was great, we had the Chicken Satay, Drunken Noodles, Pork Fried Rice, and Thai Teas. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us! The lunch prices are only available during the week. We were a bit surprised when we got the bill to see the dinner prices, but still a very enjoyable experience and will probably be a regular for us!
Great food! We had the chicken satay and crab wontons for appetizers. Both are excellent and the crab wontons are a slice of the imitation crab with cream cheese (and no onion thank goodness!!) :) some places barely put crab in but with this one you know you are eating imitation crab. We also had the Panang curry which is the picture in my comment. Also very good! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu
Excellent food. We had the Crabmeat fried rice and Green Curry. Bar wasn’t fully setup yet but looks promising. Great addition to this area.
We ordered drunken noodle and fried rice from lunch menu. They were both really good! Not too salty but just right with the seasoning. Their prices are very affordable AND the portion is big enough. The pretty interior design is just another plus!
