This is a Sushi and a Thai restaurant. We love Thai food and we wanted to try this out. Food is great and tasty. Mango sticky rice desert is our favorite here. That said ambience is okay and mainly pricing is a bit higher than the quantity they give when you compare it with other Thai restaurants around. Service was great though it's a bit slower.

This place is great! Been here a few times and I’ve enjoyed it every time. I love how they have both Thai and sushi. I tried pineapple fried rice for the first time here and it was absolutely delicious! A must try for sure! You can’t go wrong with Pad Thai. It was yummy and filling. The sushi is good and looks so pretty on the plate. We also ordered the sticky rice mango which was my first time trying that and I loved it! I highly recommend.

Recenty tried the Pad Num Pik Paow with pork and it’s my new favorite dish, has a good spice level but not overbearing, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory. My family loves the curries, red, green, massaman, we’ve tried them all…seriously…they are all great! The service is always delightful as well.

THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM! I can say I've never had better service and larger portions anywhere! The food was fantastic, served so quickly, and they never rushed me even though I got there 30 min before close. Wow 100% spot on perfect for everything! The mussels shooters were amazing, so flavorful, and cold taste all the individual flavors. Wow!!

The spring rolls with shrimp was AWESOME!I have had these from all over the valley, but these are hands down THE BEST. Love the mint and no vermicelli in them. Plenty of fresh, crisp lettuce and tasty sauce. Didn't even need the Sriracha, which is in shortage right now.

The green curry was super texturally pleasing, plus the spice level was immaculate at level 3 (I love it hot🔥).

I was surprised by how huge the portion of papaya salad was, I didn't have room in my belly for it.🤣 It was never soft or soggy, it was perfect and pretty and even had lettuce! Tried the Laos style, which had more fish sauce. Not bad. I like both styles, but love a good lime sauce.

Note, the real star: the Durian sticky rice. I know, Durian isn't for everyone, but this was nice! I like Durian, so it was no surprise, but the soft texture plus the thick sauce on the perfectly cooked sticky rice, and then thin sauce on top was quite awesome. I usually do Mango🥭 sticky rice but I would say the Durian was just as good!

Pad thai to dhai for! Very fresh veggies spring rolls!

Ying's is hands down our family's favorite Thai and/or sushi place. We've been here at least 30 times. We love the coconut soup, the massaman curry and the enormous volcano roll. You can't go wrong at yings.

I legitimately think this is some of the better Thai places I’ve been to in this area. I’ve been here only a few times but have tried a different dish each time and have been very impressed with their consistency and quality.

If you are craving for Thai or just solid food, I highly recommend this place.

Terrible customer service. The workers were unkind and barely willing to help while charging outrageous amounts for mediocre food. The host had a passive aggressive attitude and was blatantly rude. There’s a much better Thai restaurant where you will get your moneys worth and actually be treated like a customer on 13th called Thai mango, that one is way more worth your time and money.

Everything we had was so scrumptious..... Crab Fried Rice, Tom Ka, Massaging Curry, Thai Basil Stir Fry, Mango Smoothie and Coconut Ice Cream. The service was top notch. Yings is one of Sandy's gem eatery.

The sushi here is pretty good. The rolls are a decent size, but I can get rolls just as good as half the price at somewhere like Ichiban.

As a Thai person, I like Kao Soi (curry noodles) and Boat Noodles here. Other dishes are good too. The price is a bit on a higher side but acceptable. I will definitely go back and recommend this to people who look for a Thai restaurant but don’t want to drive all the way to downtown SLC

I have been going to Ying Thai and Sushi for a few years now regularly. My family and I love the quality of the food. It is also a good price. The Thai food is amazing, the sushi is craftly made. Ying is amazing and hospitable every time. I highly recommend!

The staff were excellent. A great place to sit and enjoy a nice bite away from the crowds. The portions are smaller than we're used to, but that's temporary due to inflation. Not their fault. Come and enjoy a nice dinner. Great place for a date.

The food was very delicious and the service was very good. Our waitress was Amp and she was super helpful and kind. The Thai fried rice was a bit spicy for my wife, but that was my wife’s fault as we told her it was spicy. The yellow curry was especially good!

One of the best Thai places in Salt Lake Valley. Been there several times and each was great. Some places are only good every now and then. Really great Pad Thai and maybe the best Thai Basil stir fry.

I love this place, but the tipflation has to stop, suggesting a 30% tip for great service is ridiculous.

Seriously the best Thai food in the valley. They have so many authentic dishes that you won't find at other Thai restaurants in the area and they're all equally fantastic.

The sashimi is always fresh and higher quality than most places with the same price, and the sushi rolls are well thought out and always taste amazing.

Our server Amp made both of our night. She is so warm and kind and was very personable with us. It was great to have an authentic interaction with a server who seems happy to be there.

Overall, Ying's Thai-Sushi is an incredible restaurant and I would recommend anyone looking for local Thai food or sushi to try it out.

Thai food was very very good!! Ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Fried Rice, and Yellow Curry with Chicken. This will be my new go to Thai place! Best I've had around here. Can't wait to try their sushi. Highly recommend!

The food was good but the service was not the best. They wait staff was not kind, and did not explain the difference when asked about single or sharing meals. Plus the fact they did not mention a gratuity was already added they got an extra $25 dollar tip. We basically tipped $54 dollars for an $140. Meal. The payment was deceiving as no check was given just a card reader that prompted a gratuity. We will not be coming back.

Over all very good. Some of the soups or Currys seemed like they were watered down however maybe it was because we were the first customers for dinner. Do recomened trying this place.

I LOVE this local gem! Hands down, the best fresh Thai food that I've had yet. Most of the time, I find one or two menu items at a given restaurant that become my dishes of choice. Ying's is the first eatery where I have such confidence in the cooking that I've more or less eaten my way through the entire menu, and haven't found a single dish that was less than fantastic! The staff are kind and helpful, and the flavor profiles of the menu are top notch.

I got the pork noodles, the meat was so good. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I think it’s called the grilled chicken on the menu. Loved the som tum (papaya salad), and yum woonsen. Their coconut ice cream is homemade, I could go on and on. Great food, atmosphere, and came out quickly. Highly recommend!

Our family Loves Ying’s. We try to think of other places to eat but then find ourselves back here on Friday nights ordering pumpkin and yellow curry, drunken noodles and Pad Thai. Their mango rice is also a must try with a plethora of other amazing dishes that haven’t disappointed. Great staff and service with some great candies you have to grab on the way out. Hands down our favorite Thai restaurant in Salt Lake Valley.

I liked everything we tried. The atmosphere was nice and felt more high scale than other Thai places. Very delicious. The food had a delicious spice and left us very thirsty and our waitress was super busy and didn't fill our waters enough. Everything else was exceptional. I loved the green curry, pineapple curry, and the coconut ice cream with mango sticky rice for dessert. Yum.

It was all delicious… and probably why we kept eating so much 😅. Also service was great! Our waitress was lovely and attentive. I will certainly go again and recommend.l to others.

We went here for my daughters Birthday. The waitress was super efficient and nice. The food was truly delicious. The interior design and atmosphere make it a great restaurant for special occasions, date nights. I was really impressed.

Best thai in town!!

We came in a group of 9. We ordered a lot of food and expected to wait for a long time but we didn’t expect to wait 2 hours for an appetizer. When 2 of the sashimi dishes came out, we already finished eating and were ready to pay. Everyone has different tastes so I’m not going to rate the food based on our experiences. However, 5 out of the 9 of us had stomach issues after that meal. One of our friend stayed in the bathroom for a long time while the rest of us were still eating. Another one threw up a lot. Our recommendation is not to order sushi/sashimi at a Thai restaurant.

The worst part is the server added 18% tip without telling us. The first receipt was without gratuity so we added our tip. The server took our card, added 18% gratuity then told us when it was done. I know some restaurants add gratuity for party of 6 and more but this place added tip without telling customers which is insincere and sneaky. For sure we will not return to this place. And hopefully, nobody else will make the same mistake as we did.

Some of the worst food and service I’ve had in quite some time. The only reason I’m giving one star is because one of the meals was “okay”. We ordered tempura vegetables which came with pretty much all cucumbers…there were two carrots. The carrots were hard and not cooked at all. I asked if they could fix it by cooking some other veggies or taking it off our check since we didn’t eat it. She responded by saying “we don’t do that” which was very unprofessional and rude to a paying customer. We also ordered teriyaki chicken. The chicken was hard, dry, and chewy. Tasted like they had boiled that chicken in sauce for 2 days. It was disgusting. They seem like the type of place that upcharges everything, cheap with food, rude to customers, and takes no responsibility when they mess up. It was a bad experience overall. They are way overpriced even if the food was excellent. I’ll never go back and definitely will steer people away from this place.

I’m sorry but that’s the worst Thai food I’ve ever tried, I had green curry and green mango salad and the salad was terrible, it had too much onions and onion taste, it was disgusting. The service was poor, I ordered it to go, they said 15min and it took them almost an hour, I was waiting for it at the restaurant so I timed it.
