Laan Thai is a full service Thai restaurant located in the heart of Ogden, Utah. Our goal is to serve delicious, fresh, authentic Thai food to the community and bring a part of Thailand to Utah.
NOT EDIBLE. 8/27/24 This sums up our experience here. I don’t write too many reviews unless I have an amazing or a horrible experience. This was the later. The spring rolls were wrapped in something so thick it was crunchy and I was unable to chew it.(see the thickness in the picture) It was extra for adding shrimp and they were the tiniest shrimp that tasted like mush. When you opened the roll you could see that it didn’t have what a spring roll traditionally has in it. This had what I can only explain to be old salad from those bagged salads that have lettuce and purple cabbage in it, an old piece of soft cucumber and that was it. The lettuce was old and was turning brown. The pho was flavorless and the jalapeños they brought to add to it were dry old and wrinkly. My friend ordered the pad Thai and it smelled like dog food. When she tried to pick up the noodles with the fork they would just break apart because they were so over cooked. I won’t post her pictures as she might be doing a separate review. The water the waitress gave us was warm with no ice and taste like really bad tap water. When we asked to rectify the situation she started the person that normally makes the food was not there and the new person doesn’t know how to make it. If that is the case why submit customers to inedible food? The owner/manager was not in and while we were only able to take a few bites out of the food we paid it in full. For pho and spring rolls it was $38. It’s sad we weren’t even able to talk to someone about our experience so others are not subjected to this as well. This was all Very pricey for horrible food. I will not be coming again. We read so many reviews on here and were misled. So disappointing.
Stopped in before a Raptors game.
High ceilings with an industrial look. Architecture was dark and clean.
Sevice was friendly - Peth was great.
One thing - the menus are very high quality - high definition pictures on thick, laminated pages. Very much appreciated.
I had the Pad Thai Seafood - flat rice noodles, onions, and plenty of shrimp, fish balls, scallops and squid. Topped of with crushed peanuts. Very tasty.
Environment: 4/5
Laan Thai provides a truly authentic Thai ambience, complemented by exquisite decorations and warm, inviting lighting. Each table is graced with a small light, setting a pleasant, cozy tone for the evening. However, the restaurant's temperature settings might need a reconsideration, particularly during the frosty Logan January, as the chilly environment left something to be desired in terms of comfort.
Service: 2/5
The wait staff at Laan Thai are undoubtedly warm and welcoming, providing a friendly face upon entry. Nevertheless, the restaurant seems to be grappling with staffing adequacy, leading to prolonged wait times for service. Additionally, while the effort is appreciated, language barriers somewhat hindered the effective communication of menu details and recommendations.
Food:
Satay Chicken: 3/5
The satay chicken impresses with its rich flavors and a delightful sweet and sour peanut sauce accompaniment. However, the dish falls short of perfection due to the over-dried nature of the chicken, detracting from the overall experience.
Pad Thai with Pork: 4/5
A standout dish at Laan Thai, the Pad Thai with Pork captivates with its chewy, well-seasoned rice noodles. The dish is a near-perfect rendition of this classic, with the only slight disappointment being the dryness of the pork.
Roasted Duck Curry: 3/5
This dish is a visual treat, beautifully presented with vibrant curry and fresh vegetables. However, similar to the other meat dishes, the duck's dryness prevents this curry from reaching its full potential.
In conclusion, while Laan Thai excels in creating a genuine Thai atmosphere and offers some delectable choices, there's room for improvement in both service efficiency and consistency in the preparation of their meat dishes.
Lovely little find!
The food was great! All about the food for me, just don't go if you're in a hurry.
I don’t think they expect to be as busy as they are, so the service is very slow, and they need more help.
We were only there for a one-week trip, and we went there twice, that should say something!!
pad Thai, green curry, and pineapple chicken curry are all delicious, and so are the appetizers and soups.
I'm sad to have to write this review because I've been coming to this restaurant every few months since it first opened, but my recent meal there was the final straw and the last time I'll eat there. The food has always been pretty good as long as they haven't run out of whatever you were hoping for which unfortunately seems to happen often. The service, well it hasn't ever been great. Definitely expect to wait for everything because they usually only have one or maybe two servers running around feverishly trying to keep everything together. The prices weren't ever great either, but they were tolerable until my most recent trip that spurred this review. The menu recently changed and it seems they just slapped an extra $4 on top of all the already overpriced items. They also removed several of my most favorite items. See that picture of the small fist-sized pile of orange chicken? Yeah that cost me $18 which is absurd. Those are Manhattan prices, not Ogden prices. It was tasty, but I'll definitely just go to Panda Express and get twice the food for half the price and it will taste 80% as good. Also, they will have ice for your drinks and it won't take an hour to be seated and get your food.
The total bill for my wife and I to get just two basic entrees and literally nothing else but two glasses of warm tap water was $40 which is bonkers.
My recommendation to the owners: you're charging a fortune for the food so hire more staff so they can take care of the dining room adequately. Next, either reduce your prices or double the portions. You've raised the prices AND cut the portions and it's very obvious. A few ounces of chicken and 10¢ worth of rice should not cost $18. Finally, fix your dang ice situation. I've lost track of the number of times I've gone where you are inexplicably out of ice. It's 100 outside. You have to have ice.
Hopefully you can make these changes and turn things around or I suspect I'll drive by and see this place has gone out of business in the next 6 months which would be very sad.
Be prepared to wait an hour and a half for your food. We dined in and our food took way to long. 30min after we ordered the waiter came and told us they didn't have anymore of the appetizer we ordered. We said that was fine. We waited another 30mins waved the waiter down and asked how much longer and he came back and said one of our plates was ready. He told me mine was being prepared. Waited another 30mins and the other plate was done but when he brought it to me he said oh we're out of sticky rice so he gave me regular rice. I ordered a level 2 spice and when I went to eat it you would have thought I ordered a level 5. The dish was covered in chili. After the wait, lack of food we ordered, and unable to eat one of the dishes all we got was a 10% discount. I know it wasn't the waiter's fault on the wait time or anything to do with the food. But better communication to us would have been greatly appreciated.
This restaurant is phenomenal! The appetizer combo, coconut soup, massaman curry, and coconut mango ice cream were all perfect. The atmosphere is beautiful and calm. This is definitely our new favorite Thai spot.
Good food takes some time sometimes. Chicken laab fire crying tiger fire orange chicken gas pho gas steamed dumplings to die for. Healthy asf duck fire. Can be pricey
Authentic Thai food. The staff are friendly and caring.

I had a cockroach crawl across my foot, it was a disgusting and unprofessional experience.
I had a great time here and the food tasted amazing. the service was good. I only give the FOOD a 3 ⭐️ due to the quantity. It is pretty pricey, but everything is so i understand $20 for a meal🤷🏾♂️. Ummm 🤔 it’s hard to say if I would come back. Don’t get me wrong. The food was pretty good . Well I don’t know we’ll see.
Best Thai food around. Great little place, clean, inviting, absolutely great and friendly service. Worth the visit and come back again and again!
Was disappointed with the fact you can't get fresh spring rolls with tofu as they make them in the morning. Not fresh made when you order them. Got the veggies one, too much lettuce in them. Thought they are high priced for what you get. Will say the peanut sauce for the sting rolls was the best part.
Place and order for Eggplant Basil, but you don't call the customer before they pick it up to tell them that they don't have the eggplant? The main ingredient of the order? No discount? No offer of something else. They had an hour to prepare and tell us before have. It's just, " Sorry, we didn't have eggplant. So we just cooked the meat and stuff."
Not as good as the Logan Laan.
Have eaten here several times in the past and have always had a great experience. Tonight, horrible service. The quality of the meat has declined and I asked for no spice. The dish is so spicy I can't even eat it. Won't be back. Water on the floor and staff is standing around doing nothing while one employee is working really hard. Servers are rude and abrasive.
Homemade Thai was almost better. Their number three spicy was like mild pace picante no joke my wife is not into spicy food and she verified no heat. Steak was tender. That's the best part but not worth 26 and 28 dollars.
I have always had great food until today. I ordered yellow curry. The menu listed potatoes, carrots, onions, fresh basil leaves and your choice of meat. My dish had no potatoes or basil.
Pad Thai and the Larb are delicious. The service was fast and friendly! Highly recommend
Best Thai Food Restaurant Around!!!
Absolutely delicious food, great service, and quick response.
Small establishment. Waited over an hour for our food to come out. Not authentic thai.
London was great
The food was so flavorful and delicious! Our server London was amazing, quick and very friendly! Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great yellow curry. Waitress was spot on with the heat level.
Clean and good. Had the red and Panang curry.
Came in and was not greeted and was just sat by the waiter by her pointing at the table.
Order the pho. It was amazing but the service was terrible. My order was taken incorrectly and it took the waiter over 15 minutes to touch my table to ask for my food to be remade. Once it was correct the food was great. Terrible service
Always great!
AMBER IS THE BEST WAITRESS GIVE THAT GIRL A RAISE!! So attentive so nice gave us a remarkable experience!
Very bad service, 2 hours to wait for an order. Super bad. I do not recommend this place.
Always a pleasure to try new dishes here. Have not been unhappy.
Overall a nice little Thai place. I got the laan curry which was delicious. Super flavorful and big portions. If I had to complain about anything would be the price but it's 2024 and I don't think it's possible to run a restaurant and charge less nowadays.
This place is delicious. Quick lunch, pumpkin curry, yeah, I will be back.
Really bad service, we have been waiting for almost an hour but someone came after us had even finished their meal.
The food is just average.
Uncomfortable! The food is so late. Other people who are later than me got food quicker. I don’t know why?
We tried this restaurant out this week and the short Mexican manager is so rude to the employees there. We could over hear one of the servers trying to talk to the manager and the manager was rude and very unprofessional and unhelpful. She wouldn’t help her employees and you could tell it’s a bad working environment which trickles down to all the staff. Hopefully someone above her can do something about this
Terrible experience. If I could give this place a -10 I would! I’m super big on customer service. My server was Gigi and she was super distracted, didn’t pay any mind to our table and seemed like she had an attitude. The food also came out and wasn’t the correct order. Highly don’t recommend.
I wanted to give this place a five star but I can't. The waitress we had did not took notes on our order so we had food served to us that contained food we asked not to have die to food allergies. The pho served to my son had peanuts so on our way out of the restaurant, he had to purge his food in the nearby garbage can for respect with the other diners. It could've been worst but here we are.
My order was also messed up. I initially ordered their ribeye steak but instead they served me a duck. The funny part was I tried my best to equate duck with steak but that did not work out. Once I got my steak, I realized it did not look the same as the picture showed and it was saltier than I preferred it to be.
Moral of the story, when your server do not write down your order, be vigilant in checking what you get and do not compromise the quality of your experience just to please the people around you.
Delicious food, great service!
Amazing Food
There was a group of us so they were able to seat us in the back at a large table. The waitress was great and the food was amazing! We all had something different and everyone loved their dinner. I can’t wait to go back again.
Delicious pho, and my waiter, Jeff, was absolutely fantastic! Attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
London was very conscientious and gave good service!
London was our server and she did a great job. And the food, as always, was excellent.
Me and my wife love going here. They have the most wonderful curries. And my wife loves the boba!
As usual the food was yummy, and London provided excellent service! Highly recommended!
London was an absolutely amazing server, she was funny and helpful. Food was also fabulous.
Fiona was the best, she deserves a raise!! We had a great time.
Fiona was a great server!
Food was delish and Fiona was very kind!
Fiona is great!
The food was delicious and Fiona took great care of us
Fiona was great!!
Fiona was very attentive and provided great service even on a busy night.
Best Thai in town
Love this place! Better than Aroy D promise!
The food was incredible!
Walked in, was seated. Sat for 10 minutes no one came we left. Disappointed :(
I honestly loveeee this places food but the last time we went we were forgotten about and waited over an hour before any food was brought to us and it was a bit disappointing because I had ordered the pineapple fried rice with a picture of the rice coming in half a pineapple and showing a much larger portion but when it came it was quite small and came on a small plate while the food here is amazing if it is busy I would recommend going else where and do not look at the pictures next to the titles as most the time they don't come like that or show a larger portion however the food they do serve is always amazing and I would recommend the pineapple curry as that's my favorite!
Food and service were great! Highly recommend this place.
Best service & orange chicken I’ve had in a long time!
Went here last night around 8:30pm (restaurant closes at 9). They wouldn't seat our party of 4, told us we could only order takeout. Never heard of a restaurant turning away guests this far before closing. We've eaten here before and the food is really good, but this was extremely disappointing.
We walked out, walked 2 minutes over to another adjacent restaurant that is also only open until 9pm. We asked if they were still seating, and they smiled and told us "yes, of course! There's still 25 minutes!". Hostess was happy to see us, waiter was happy to see us, and we got our food and enjoyed it, and were out of there by 9:15pm. I'm glad they appreciated our business, because apparently Laan Thai is not if you're anywhere near closing time.
Food was excellent and they were willing to make adjustment to standard menu items. Spring rolls with peanut sauce are a must try.
Pumpkin curry A+++ :)
I really like this Thai restaurant. Every time we’re in town we go there and the food is delicious
This business has only been open for a few weeks. And, they were super busy tonight. You could tell they were a little bit understaffed. But despite that, we did not have to wait too long. The sampler platter was super yummy, and the curry was wonderful. We will be back.
Our go to place for any date night
I just drove through UT and arrived at kinda 45 minutes before their closing. After a long day driving, I didn’t expect much from them. But the food helped to relieve the tired. It’s worthy to come back again.
Door dasher and this place doesn’t put your orders first at all. After driving in the hail storm walking in with a beating of the hailstorm I was told I had to wait another 10 minutes. It has been 15 now. I’ve already went and picked up another order at a different restaurant and then came here and the food is still not even ready.
The excuse: they are busy but they have at least 5 tables empty. Liars I say. Just know if you order thru DD or Uber Eats, they put your orders last.
Nice, clean, and great deal for the price. Excellent customer service. Generous portions. We had the assorted appetizers, spicy thai papaya salad, and the combination seafood massaman curry. Everything was so delicious! Will definitely be going back to try other menu items.
My wife and I shared the pad Thai and red curry, the flavors were amazing together! Portion sizes and quality were great for the price. We sat outside, and the waiter was so kind to bring us chalk for our daughter and a water bowl for our dog.
Lots of gluten free options. Trajen our server was fantastic and the dishes we ordered were phenomenal. Literally the best thai I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. (:
The food and service were very good a little bit pricey but still very good. I will go back when I'm back in town.
I loved everything that I tried here! Definitely recommend. 😊
The food is delicious and the staff are very nice. Sometimes the food does take a little while to be delivered, but it’s worth the wait! This is my eight-year-old daughter’s favorite place to eat Thai food :) I find it incredibly overpriced, so we don’t go often because of that.

Best Thai food around! Their curry is amazing!!! Service is friendly and so welcoming!
Great food! We had pad Thai and a curry and they were both delicious.
Wonderful little spot in Downtown Ogden to go for a fabulous Thai meal. They have all the dishes you want to see on a Thai menu and then some. I always have to try the Massaman curry at new places and this didn't disappoint. Others in my party had Pad Thai and Vegan dishes and everyone was pleased. They have many boba drink options as well as Thai tea, which is a must and was heavenly. Some things are a bit pricey, but it's definitely quality food and drink. Mango sticky rice was divine. Location is great for downtown hotel distance, we ended up walking about 5 minutes to get there. Definitely recommend! Will be returning in the future!
Some of the best Thai food I’ve had in a while. Every dish we ordered came out delicious. Will definitely go back!
This Thai place had great service, the food and drinks came out very quickly and the servers were nice. We also loved the ambience here the decor was nice and the music was soft. I also love their descriptive menus, it added a nice touch.
The food was good for what we paid with the main dishes being $16-17. We enjoyed their Pad Thai with a level 2 spiciness, it had a sweet and sour flavor with lots of crushed up peanuts. We also preferred their pho and it was alright, not much flavor.
The spring rolls ($12) were delicious especially with the peanut sauce.
They also sell Boba smoothies with several flavors. I ordered the Taro flavor and couldn’t get enough, although their pearls don’t compare to Xiao Xiao boba.
Overall we had a great experience and would love to come back to try more.
Chicken pad thai was perfect. Khao soi was perfect. Crying tiger was 1/3 fatty mess, under seasoned, but gluten free request was happily accommodated. Service was fine, waiter Jeff was friendly and did a fine job. Lost a point because one of the appetizers came out after the entrees. Prices are reasonable and this is a completely adequate Thai restaurant. Overall 9/10, so they get 5/5
My wife and I had dinner here and it was great. I would highly recommend the Penang curry. Service was quick and friendly, we ordered an extra side of Jasmine rice and shared the one order of curry. was able to feed both of us for about $25 after tip. Great date night
Food was great and the service was excellent
For 2 years my wife and I have been looking for a Thai place that is better than our current place. Our usual is a highly rated place on 12th street in Ogden. We thought we’d try this place and after years of searching, BOOM! We found it! This place IS our new favorite. We were blown away with how much flavor everything has. We got the Massaman Curry Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai, and the Sampler Appetizer. Everything was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!
Awesome food and service!
This is a new spot for us and it was amazing! We appreciated a gentleman named NUP. His patience and help was very appreciated! Thank you! We will be back soon!
Delicious!
yummy but expensive
Very friendly and attentive staff! Food was delicious and fresh!
Super yummy!!
I order take out once or twice a week. Today I’m in the restaurant for the first time.
Vegetarians behold a Thai Papaya salad with NO fish sauce or shrimp! (I can’t even with that flower!)🌸
And a vegetarian spring roll (Thai fresh spring roll) on the menu, meaning we don’t have to specify no shrimp or pork when we order. (The meat version is the Lao Spring Roll on their menu).
The drunken noodles are to die for.
And they have excellent dishes otherwise as well.
One of the two best Thai restaurants in Ogden. Familiar U.S. Thai menu with quality preparation. Conveniently located in downtown area.
Love orange chicken and nam tok so delicious.
They had great service, delicious food, and a clean/organized environment.
Brought me a water when my friends dumped a bunch of stuff in it lol
My family always enjoys Laan Thai! The food is tasty and the service is quick. The Laan Thai and Pineapple curries are favorites. We are frequent customers!
Everything we got was awesome, fast service, very clean
The quiet ambiance was delightful to talk in while eating delicious food that was quick to be prepared. I distinctly remember the comfortable aroma walking in immediately. A wonderful spot to have a date!
Everything was great! The Crying Tiger was especially good!
Absolutely everything was top notch! Wonderful servers, beautiful atmosphere and the food is out of this world! We’ve found a new favorite Thai food restaurant!
The food was delicious the service friendly and helpful. The decor was cute and it was clean .
Delicious
We’ve moved to Ogden recently and this has quickly become our go-to Thai place.
I got pad see ew. All of the vegetables are undercooked, there is no sauce/flavor on the chicken and vegetables, and they gave me the wrong meat after repeating it back to me correctly. There is zero spice in the meal. Other than that the portion is fair for price and the noodles taste great.
This is hands down the best Thai food in northern Utah. We have tried many Thai restaurants and we cannot get enough of this place. Make sure to go to the location on Washington Blvd by the junction, its fresh and clearly made my chefs who know how to cook. When you leave here you will have dreams of coming back.
The food was great but the customer service could have been better, they didn't ask if we wanted anything different to drink besides water, they also got the spice level mixed up on our food
Been a dozen times now and they're so good every time. One of the best in Ogden
The food is pretty good. Not the best Thai I’ve had in Utah, but better than most. We got our food as medium (level of spiciness). It wasn’t burn your tongue hot, but midway through the meal, it was getting hotter. I liked it. Sticky rice was a little small, but that seems to be normal for all restaurants. The papaya salad was a little sweeter than what I prefer, but still good. Larb was delicious. We’ll be back.
Our server , Jessica was really great. Friendly, answered our questions and made our first time the reason we will be back several more
Food is delicious. Good size portions. Slightly higher prices than expected.
The foods amazing and same with the customer service. It's very clean and looks amazing. If you go I would recommend the crying tiger steak.
Went in the afternoon and was the only table there. Food was excellent and unique from what I have been served at other Thai restaurants. Tried orange chicken. The coating was very thin meaning you tasted sauce and chicken. It was great. Also tried chicken Laab. Light, spicy, citrus. I very much enjoyed my meal.
Dishes were tasty,
The restaurant offers a wide variety of foods to choose from: pho, other soups, salads, pad thai, curry etc. and the flavor and quality is superb!
Worst Pad Thai I've ever had. The flavor was completely lacking overall, it was bland and had hardly any taste. Some of the noodles looked white, as if they had no sauce/seasoning. I also requested the spiciest level, it wasn't even remotely spicy whatsoever. I had someone else taste the dish (they don’t like spicy food) and they also said it wasn’t spicy at all. Even the microwavable Pad Thai from the frozen-section of the grocery store is better. So beyond disappointing for how expensive this dish is.
This is the best curry I've had. The Laan Thia special is simply amazing!
The green and red curry were delicious as were the spring rolls with shrimp and peanut butter sauce.
We have never tried this place and we love thai food. It was pretty good smaller portions compared to other places but when we checked out. We saw that gratuity was added to both check in a party of 6. When we asked that it be placed on one check. I called the manager and tried to talk to him about it and he wanted to argue with me about how it wasn't. Told me to bring my bank statement in.. WOWOOWOWOW will not ever be going back here!! If you have a party of 6 or more make sure you watch how much gratuity is being added. I have heard this is a thing with restaurants now.
So this place is usually great. However it’s Friday 3/1/24 came in got seated ordered and waited 20 minutes for food which isn’t bad for a good meal on a busy night.
I ordered fried rice with shrimp #3 spice. Got my meal no spice so I sent it back. You would think they would move it up to the front of the order’s. After another 15 plus minutes still no food. I asked them where it is. They said coming. After I told them to forget my meal it showed. By then I’d lost my appetite. Be aware if you go there when they’re busy. You will got the wrong order or no food at all.
PS it wasn’t the waitress’s fault it was the kitchen’s .,
The food was very good, but the service was so slow and we were never checked on again once we received our food. The prices are also quite expensive compared to other Thai options in the area. Unfortunately, we probably won't be returning.
Excellent spring rolls! The green curry & pad Thai was wonderful. We were delighted with the mango cake. Highly recommend this place! 😊
I asked for my soup first, and I got it after my entrée. I asked there be no cilantro in my soup and there was. She asked me if I wanted any spice in my fried rice I said zero they gave me spice. This place is a disaster. Soup and fried rice and it was $44. That’s ridiculous.
This was our go to Thai place for quite a while, but the last 2 times we attempted to eat there, it wasn't good due to them not being open during posted business hours. Last example was showing up a little early (1120), waited at the door facing Washington Blvd until 1138, and then went to try the rear door. At 1145 they were still not open. This was not the first time this happened either. As wonderful as the food is, that will be last time we attempt to eat there.
Is my second order from the restaurant which is delicious however I added medium space which was the same i requested on my qst order & there is absolutely 0 spice to this food. I love spice which is 1 of the reasons I lived it. Big let down for the $37 I paid :(
My husband and I love to order online or over the phone for take out here. Our favorite dishes (mind you we haven’t tried anything else) is pad se ewe and pineapple curry dish. Warning they don’t mess around when it comes to spice levels. I get a level 1 here and typically will get 2 or 3 at other restaurants. We did eat in once and the atmosphere was nice. I love supporting small businesses.
Got sat at a table and were given waters and no menus then ignored for the next 30 minutes while people that came in 10-15 minutes after us were seated and had their orders taken. Tried to get the waiters attention and was ignored. Ended up leaving after waiting for well over 30 minutes. Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant.
Order is always wrong. Items are often missing. Really annoying because I tip online beforehand when a tip is clearly not appropriate with the awful service.
My 2nd time ordering take out from these folks, Food is flavorful and very delicious. Would recommend it to anyone looking for thai food
Food and service were great!
Good place to eat, I usually eat the sweet and sour pad and or the chicken noodles. I go about every week or every other week. Lots of veggies involved in their foods, yumm.
What a great little Thai restaurant! The service was great, and the good was amazing.
We got the eggplant basil (pad makeua) and rare steak pho.
The medium spice with the basil in the eggplant dish was perfect, and the broth in the pho was so flavorful.
The mango boba was also very good.
We'll definitely be back!
We continue to come back to Laan Thai as our daughter's are exploring foods they like, and Laan Thai knocks it out of the park! The Boba drinks were great, the kids portion perfect and the right amount of balance. My wife had yellow curry and I had the combination Pho. Wow! Ate a lot and still left with plenty of leftovers. This is great niche restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. There was even a live concert happening outside in the grassy Square. We'll be back!
This place is amazing, 5 star flavors!! Vegan friendly, and packed with delicious seasonings in every bite. We would have ordered everything twice if we weren’t so full. We had the pineapple fried rice, pho with tofu and spice, chow mein, golden tofu and sticky rice. Service was excellent, the staff was on it with everything and the came out quickly. Everything tasted fresh and hot. Seriously recommend this place to everyone!
We returned back here to eat again because the food is amazing! Once again we were satisfied with what we ate.
Everything taste amazing!
Our only flaw in this restaurant is service is slow. I have been back a few times and each time I have returned and asked for limes for my water I have to remind the server 2-3x because they forget.
Other then forgetting, the servers are very kind and maintain our waters full.
This last time we went we started with the t Wantons for appetizer then ordered Nam Tok and Khao Soi Chicken.
I have ordered the Nam Tok 2 different times and I will say their food is very consistent!
Our total bill was $55.20 for the Two of us
Edit: we’ve been back again , uploaded photos of our other meals that were delicious too
Lovely little find!
After an epic day on the slopes of Powder Mountain, we were famished and looking for a place to refuel. That's when we stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant serving up modern twists on classic Thai flavors. And let me tell you, it was nothing short of mind-blowing!
We started with their crispy, golden egg rolls that were bursting with goodness - the perfect way to kick off our feast. But the real star of the show was the spicy fried rice. It was a revelation! The perfectly balanced heat danced with rich, savory goodness, leaving us craving for more.
And the spicy noodle soup? Oh my god! Every slurp was an explosion of complex flavors, with the lingering warmth leaving a tingle without scorching our taste buds. We couldn't get enough!
But that's not all. We also tried their mango cake, which was light, fluffy, and had the perfect amount of sweetness. It was a refreshing tropical dream after all that spice. And let's not forget about the classic Thai tea. Creamy and fragrant, it was the perfect sidekick to all the bold flavors.
Laan Thai's unique blend of tradition and innovation made for an unforgettable dining experience. We left happy, full, and already planning our next visit! Believe me, if you're a foodie looking for an adventure, Laan Thai is the place to be.
Christmas week activities with nieces & nephews had Panang curry with Shrimp. Option of 0-5 for hot levels, we all did a different one. We arrived perfect time for party of 7 at 5:30pm, right before they got real busy. Music not to loud, so you can carry on a conversation. Love the wall mural, near LDS temple for a bit to eat or go to movie like we did.
Your spring roles have the wrong picture in your door dash menu and I wanted the fried Thai egg rolls but they have the same picture. Please change it so people are not confused
Haven’t found better Thai food in Ogden. We have done the curry’s multiple times and have never been disappointed. I would recommend Laan
This is a little pricey. Not bad though.
We’ve had good take out over the past year but we went in person recently and they put shrimp in the curry along with the tofu which was supposed to be vegan. Then tonight we ordered two vegan curries for take out and when we got home and dished them out there was chicken mixed in with the tofu in both of them. 🤦♀️😭 Laan Thai is good for meat eaters, but it’s not for vegans or vegetarians.
Very friendly and food was delicious 😋 Francesca was very polite and very welcoming would definitely recommend to try this place
Love having a great tasting and great run restaurant in town. Oh and Thai food is my favorite.
Thom Kha Gai was very good
Ok yeah we love this place. It’s so good. We recently remodeled our kitchen and during that time, we had no kitchen and had to eat at restaurants all the time. It was terrible. The place that always makes us feel better is Laan Thai. Our kitchen is done now and so we can eat at restaurants for fun instead and we still eat here. People are great, food is delicious, and we are lifelong customers. Love you guys.
Real, authentic Thai food and great service!
We were never checked on, never got refills, and had to ask for the checks finally. Food was okay but the lack of any service left the food quality in the back of mind.
Really good Thai food! We had the pineapple fried rice, pad Thai and spicy chicken basil and the chicken basil was a bit dry but still really great flavor on everything! They also had boba tea and smoothies which were awesome! And we took a mango cake Togo which was super yummy.
Great location, service, and food. Good vegan options.
Food was soooooooo amazing, serve was awesome, if you’re looking for amazing food you should try it!!!!
Very tasty food. Staff very friendly and great service.
Our favorite Thai restaurant in Ogden!
If you want a fantastic meal, a great atmosphere, and wonderful service, a visit to Laan Thai is a must! Yummmmmmy!
Ordered the Roasted Duck curry. The duck was deep fried and very dry making it impossible to eat. Overall curry was bland. Disappointed with the meal!
I ordered the Tempura shrimp as a appetizer was excellent. I also ordered fried rice they put ham in it and I hate ham fried rice but this restaurant made me a believer of how good ham fried rice is by far the best I ever had. The Pho of rear steak and beef meat balls were excellent but the ham fried rice was amazing!!!!
My favorite here is their Pho! I also tried their fried rice and super! The quality of their food, place and service 5 star! a bit pricey compare to other Thai places but it’s worth it!
