Great small Thai restaurant with delicious dishes! My favorites were the Fried dumplings which were tasty and crispy, served with a delicious soy sauce. Also the Thai tea was very good in my opinion. The Pad See Ew was good and a big portion that will surely fill you up. I enjoy the Pad Prik Khing dish at a local Thai place so I decided to try it here, but I am not sure if I'll get it again since I am accustomed to a different flavor. Also, spicy levels are quite a bit spicier here, tried the medium spicy and it was a little too much for me. To end this review I want to say that I was so happy in the customer service that I received, just truly appreciated that they offered to make the dish less spicy without having to ask, it is this gesture that really made me feel that they care for their customers and have a genuine interest in making them happy. Unassuming restaurant serving delicious lunches to hungry patrons. Order Thai fried rice as the name suggests. We had the crawfish fried rice, the fried tofu, fish cake, garlic fried rice, and coconut water, which had chunks of coconut meat. The coconut water was refreshing and recommended to go with these heavier dishes.

My wife and I came here to eat dinner. We ordered the chicken curry puff app and it was amazing. The breading was perfect. I got the pineapple shrimp curry and it was pretty good. A little spicy for my taste and a little lack luster on things inside of it but the flavor was really good. My wife got the eggplant stir fry and she really enjoyed it, the flavor of the sauce on everything was amazing. Next time we go were going to just get a bunch of apps

What a wonderful day. I found this new Thai restaurant unexpectedly. This is the authentic Thai taste. I’m Thai so I know how the Thai street food tastes like. I ordered the Pad Kra Pow with pork. I did asked for the ground pork but they don’t have it. However, the chef was chopping the pork for me. How nice! The Pad Kra Pow and Tom Yum soup with chicken taste so good. Recommend!! I added this place as one of my favorite Thai restaurant in Houston. It’s located opposite to the Mr.Car Wash. Nice atmosphere, lots of parking spaces.

Ordered Pad Thai and Spicy soup that was sour and watery with no flavor. Prices are not equal with bland food that is not supposed to be lacking flavor. Over rated and too expensive for no reason.

Having a bad day (or good day)? Get pad thai from thai fried rice! I tried many places and they come shy to thai fried rice. It cured my depression, brought back my faith in God, and restored hope for humanity.

They nickel and dime you for everything alleging the price is going up on everything. We completely understand inflation but to charge $1.08 for a condiment that should already be included with the meal is garbage behavior.

Wow, and the steamed dumplings 🥟. I LOVE 💕 this place‼️ I originally tried this place because of the crab 🦀 fried rice 🍚 which was good. However, personally I prefer more vegetables in my fried rice but it still was great.

UPDATE 3 YEARS LATER. I AM OBSESSEDWITH THE YELLOW CURRY AND THE GLASS NOODLE PAD WOON SOON I BELIEVE. THIS PLACE RELLY SPOILED ME AND SET THE BAR EXTREMELY HIGH. IVE MOVED FURTHER AWAY AND HAVEN'T BEEN IN OVER A YEAR. CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE BACK CLOSER. Miss this place!

I ordered the large pan of Garlic Fried Rice for a work pot luck and it was a hit! Everyone loved it, the fried rice was flavorful with large chunks of chicken breast. I wish I would have gotten business cards to hand out. When something tastes this good, you want to share it with as many people as possible.
I called to place the order an hour before I needed to pick up, Miss Amy answered the phone and was able to give me all the information I needed. Upon picking up my order she remembered my name and brought over the pan of fried rice from the back. They were so kind and helpful. I'll definitely be coming by for lunch, I'm excited to try more items from their menu. The restaurant itself was also very clean and tidy.

My daughter is super picky, and had a special request for egg fried rice…. Just egg and fried rice… nothing else. Sigh.

Great "mom and pop" restaurant. There is an extra fee for dine in (I wouldn't categorize this a gratuity per se but it's an extra fee) so keep that in mine. Also, there isn't a public restroom available due to the size of the place so I wouldn't recommend dining anyways.

This is not a fancy restaurant. However the food is one of the best Thai food that ever eat, and I know many Thai restaurants. I 100% recommend it.

Delicious made hot and fresh plenty of choices clean eating.....

Food had a burnt taste (pineapple fried rice), told the lady and she looked at me like I was lying, making funny face and all! On top of that I already had to have my spring rolls redone because they were still frozen.
Had the nerve to raise her voice and all with NO APOLOGY or CONSIDERATION, very RUDE to say the least.

I will NEVER be coming here again and I advise you to do the same as your business is not truly appreciated.

They used to be good at a point in time, now it is a hit or miss, one day you get coconut milk in your curry, one day you don’t. One day the green curry taste good then the other day it doesn’t.

So far this is the best Thai eatery because of the variety of dishes and the flavor of the food is wonderful. You also get good portions for the price. I would recommend going one level lower on the spicy level because they bring the heat, lol! If you’re a curry fan, the pineapple curry is delightful, but I’d recommend the mild spicy level. The curry puffs are a must try! They are fried to golden perfection and delicious. Everything has been great so far!

This place is hands down very delicious. The fried rice is very flavorful and the sticky rice with mango is extremely delicious. You must try the sticky rice with mango before leaving this place I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Surprised and so disappointed in my order last night and the owners reply today. My curry with tofu had over cooked tofu to the point it was not edible. My order was picked up just before closing at 9pm, after I tasted the food I immediately called the restaurant, it was closed; I called back at 11am opening time only to be told the tofu is always that way, I've had the dish countless times and never with this hard tofu but the owner refused to make another one, said I'd have to pick something else. I told her I want the same dish made the usual way or I could not countune to buy there, she could care less.

OK so THIS PLACE IS A GAME CHANGER!! For the last 5 years or more that I've had a love for Thai food, I've only liked 2 places (Niddas Thai Cuisine and Thai Cottage in Bellaire), and i have tried over 15 different Thai food restaurants in the Houston area.

The food here at Thai Fried Rice is so flavorful and delicious!! Curry has always been my favorite choice to enjoy, and this place hasn't missed the mark in flavor!! Id eat this everyday if I could!! So i recommend the red curry mild, because the mild seems spicier than usual more like medium. and the steamed dumplings-- these were super AMAZING!

Wow! I found this place on Door Dash and always read reviews on new (to me) restaurants and I couldn't believe how many positive reviews Thai Fried Rice had so thought I'd try it. It does not disappoint. Reading through everyone else's comments, for lunch I literally ordered the Chicken Curry Puffs, Steamed Dumplings, Pineapple Fried Rice & Pineallple Curry JUST FOR ME! LOL! Dumplings were good, those chicken puffs are Incredible! The crust is crispy and flaky, the inside taste great, and the side of cucumber is sweet and delicious and a great complement to the savory curry chicken. Pineapple Fried Rice is as good as everyone else has stated and that curry is great. This is my first time eating curry and I can't believe it took me to long to discover it. I will be ordering from them weekly!!

This review is based on the their lunch specials. For $8.95 I got flavorless spaghetti noodles with shrimp. There was a soggy egg roll that came with this too. For around the same price you can get a good portion of Pad Kee Mao or Pad Thai without a nasty egg roll so I would definitely SKIP THE LUNCH “deals”. The Pepper Beef lunch came delivered was very soggy and also very small in portion and around the same price as a regular menu item. The chicken satay skewers were flavorless but better packaged. Just stick with the regular menu items and you’ll get actual decent tasting Thai food.

Found this place by chance and it was definitely a good find. Everything here is fresh and hot. The food taste delicious and the service is good. There is no kid menu but the portion is pretty decent. I didn't have it spicy because of my two kids.

The only negative I can find is there is no restroom since it's quite a small restaurant. There is a hand sanitizer though.

The food here is excellent. I love their pad thai and their tom yum soup. The ingredients are always fresh and the flavor is perfect. I also have to compliment their service. We ordered using Door Dash once and the dasher never picked up the food. The owner of the restaurant called me to tell me she felt bad and she offered to drive the food to my house. That's amazing service and it's much appreciated.

Really good Tom kha, not weird or smelly like others. Thai fried rice was above average good but could be better, spicy level hot was pretty damn hot! Eggs rolls are good

I rarely give a 5-star, but this little mom and pop restaurant is excellent. Most entrees can be made vegetarian with fried tofu. Came here twice already, first for take-out and second for sit down. We ordered panang curry, pinnacle fried rice, pad Thai, pad kee mao. All were yummy with fresh vegetables. They paid attention to our special instructions not to include any onion and garlic. Many restaurants including some high end ones add onion and garlic by habit. There are a few tables (nice and clean) for sit down but most orders were take-out while we were there. Note that they close on Sundays and possibly 2 to 3 weeks around Xmas time. Call first if you're not sure.

Just go. The food Rocks! Pineapple Rice is slamming. Really...just go.

Small restaurant, seems like most people order delivery or to-go. The food is very yummy. I had the panang curry. I think I overheard the waitress tell the kitchen medium spicy instead of the mild I ordered, but it was still delicious, and tolerable for me. Will definitely rry other dishes.

Boy O' Boy was I pleasantly surprised at Thai Fried Rice. Wife and I just moved into the area a couple of weeks ago and while looking for a good Asian restaurant, ran into TFR. This Place is awesome. You have to try the Pineapple Fried Rice. It's Deee-licious! If nothing else. Of course I had a dish that was also good while the wifey did the Pineapple Fried Rice. I can't remember my order because my face was in the food the whole time. Food is dynamite!

The best Thai food in Houston! It's difficult to pick a favorite dish. The pineapple curry is amazing, but the Tom Yum soup was absolutely delicious. Ending the evening with sticky rice with mango that was just pure heaven.

So glad I live righy by here but honestly I'm a little upset with myself for not coming in sooner!!!!!! I LOVE thai food and absolutely love red curry. I bought veggie red curry (not spicy) with the expectation that it would still be spicy as hell & it was ! But not to the point where you can't enjoy it. My boyfriend got the chicken pad thai medium and shared some noodles with me & I'm just sitting her SUPER full and super satisfied. The servings they give are HUGE (in comparison to what I would get when I lived in Miami) & it's so delicious!

If you are looking for authentic Thai food this is the place to be. We went to Thailand a year ago and had amazing Thai food, we couldn't find a place that had comparable food to the food in Thailand until we stumbled upon this place.

The spices, the flavor were excellent, the chicken was cooked just right. My favorite was the yellow curry and the curry chicken puffs.

The service was amazing, the owners are really nice and sweet and attentive and always making sure you are satisfied with your meal.

I live all the way in the medical center but it's definitely worth the drive down here for authentic Thai food.

There are a few things on earth that deserve 5 stars. Mother Theresa, sex, coffee, drugs and then there’s Thai Fried Rice.

Went here on a rainy day and the hearty, delicious food was what the weather called for.

Worthy to mention:
- Garlic Fried Rice, fried rice cooked to perfection and topped with fried onions. So tasty!!!

-Chicken Curry Puffs, basically a Thai samosa. The cucumber is a nice compliment to the fried curry goodness.

- Triple Flavored Chicken, the three flavors are sour, sweet, and salty. Chicken was so tender, it’s breaded fried chicken doused in delicious sauce with bell peppers and onions. A must!

Staff is great- a family feel and the host is so friendly and inviting. I’ll be coming back whenever I’m in town!

Highly recommend for everybody who love Thai food. We ordered Triple fillet fish, Pad see ew, Sticky rice mango, etc The food are tasty! The owner are also friendly and generous!

The Pad Thai is pretty awesome, good flavour, texture, and portion. The lunch specials are really good too, especially the Thai BBQ Chicken Thighs and Lemongrass Pork Chops. The stir fry dishes (Pad Prik Pow, Pad Krapow, and Pad Prik Khing) are some of the most flavorful and authentic thai dishes I've had in the states. The only downfall of the place is that there is no public restroom, but the restraunt is great overall.

I normally come here because it's near my house . The food is pretty good! Normally I get the Thai fried rice combination and it's super flavorful and cooked to perfection. This time, I got the shrimp pineapple curry and the pad thai.

The shrimp pineapple curry with spicy, creamy, sweet and delicious! It might be on the sweeter side for most people but I like that. I like how they don't over cook the shrimp and I definitely like how they do not overcook the vegetables inside too. You can definitely tell that they are using fresh ingredients instead of frozen vegetables and Seafood.

The Pad Thai is also good, not my favorite dish from your but only because it needs more vegetables!

The owner is so sweet and definitely takes pride in their cooking. The food stands out from a lot of other Thai restaurants!

This place is awesome! It has great service, the server is always very nice, the food is very tasty and it's quite consistently good every time. Also, it is not expensive. The curry dishes are all amazing, specially the pineapple curry medium spicy. *The spiciness levels here are spicier than usual*

Change owner recently, taste more like typical chinese food trying to be thai now. Medium spicy is not spicy at all. Ordered the pad thai, the menu mentioned tofu in it, but in reality, no more tofu inside.. the eggplant basil taste is not that strong anymore.. so...very dissapointing.

I really enjoy my food here. The only thing is when we came there they had so many to go orders they said it would take 45 min for our food. No worries. We had beef pad see eww and it was good. The combo pineapple fried rice is good also. I would add more cashews. The pad Thai was ok. A little too much sauce. But overall good food!

Wow! 1st time trying and it was amazingly delicious. Even my 3 year old enjoyed the flavors and the spice. We will definitely be back specially If it can turn a grumpy man into a happy man. You can tell they take pride in their food and service.

Chicken satay and fried rice was delicious. Place is small but appears very clean and welcoming. Very convenient location, too.

This is the best Thai food I’ve eaten in America. It tastes like the food I loved while I was in Thailand. They don’t put green beans in their green curry and the sauce is not too sweet. That’s the problem I have had at other Thai restaurants. You can order an egg on top of your Pad Ka Pau, so it’s just like Thai Street Food. Their Pad See Eu and Pad Kee Mau are really good,. Their Eggplant Curry is to die for. Their Red Curry and Penang Curry dishes are wonderful. And they have authentic Thai Sausage. The Pineapple Fried Rice is fabulous, too! I go and eat there often. I want to try every item on their menu. I found it’s better to call in your order for pick up because the inside is very small and has no public restroom. They do have a hand washing station, but they put more food in the take out boxes than they put on your plate. It is very reasonably priced with most meals costing $8.95. I highly recommend this place; and I don’t give out recommendations lightly. I’d travel across town to eat at this restaurant; or at Khun Kay on Studemont.

What a wonderful day. I found this new Thai restaurant unexpectedly. This is the authentic Thai taste. I’m Thai so I know how the Thai street food tastes like. I ordered the Pad Kra Pow with pork. I did asked for the ground pork but they don’t have it. However, the chef was chopping the pork for me. How nice! The Pad Kra Pow and Tom Yum soup with chicken taste so good. Recommend!! I added this place as one of my favorite Thai restaurant in Houston. It’s located opposite to the Mr.Car Wash. Nice atmosphere, lots of parking spaces.

Super friendly service made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Food was very very goodand my wife and I have been to Thailand. The shrimp were huge and delicious and the prices were great. Highly recommend.
