Delicious Thai Curries!!
Iyara Thai Cuisine. We were looking for Thai food place to get delicious Thai curry and white rice. I got Red curry with Chicken, very flavorful, creamy curry with good quality Chicken, did not dissappoint. Will get Panang curry and steamed dumplings next time.
I definitely recommend this place. Really nice and effecient staff and a nice atmosphere. The food was also good, but I really have to take out one star for the pad thai with crispy chicken. It was super sweet (suffocating any other flavors including the spiciness) and the noodles were too hard. The crispy chicken were also not the best. The Tom Kha soup was amazing though. I will go back to this place, but will try a different dish next time.
Casual atmosphere but seriously good Thai food! I had several dishes with medium spice, and it was still reasonably spicy, which means more pepper icons added to your meal would make it legitimately, painfully hot. Great flavor, great food quality, good portions, and the button on the table means they can give you great service even without a large number of staffers. Give Iyara a shot, you’ll like it.
We went to there at 6 PM last night (Sunday), there is no customer. I live close by and went to this place for lunch once a while since they were open long time ago. The food was always good. Last night we ordered Panang Curry w/Chicken, there are hardly any meat and vegi in it, basically it was a soup. The taste was good, but $15 for couple pieces of chicken is way over priced. Another dish was Crispy Chicken Pad Thai, the rice noodle and taste was good, but the fried chicken was so rubbery, it was hard to eat, I can tell the chicken was fried couple times before served on my dish. I will not go back to Iyara Thai anymore.
Thanks the owner refund my check. I did not expect to get refund. The owner takes review seriously, I really appreciate and I will try the food again.
This is the only Thai restaurant I've been to in Houston to have the guts to give me the heat level I asked for. Five stars for that. I don't care for a dried pepper tray or vinegary sauces. I want the heat cooked in, and they obliged. I'll always appreciate ya'll for that!
I absolutely love the food here! It's beyond amazing. Whenever I find myself missing Thailand, this is my go-to place. The taste is so reminiscent of the delicious dishes I had back in Thailand. I'm so grateful to Iyara for providing me with this comforting food. My recommend dish are steam chicken dumplings, chicken pad prik khing and shrimp pad thai.
The food was on point! We ordered the appetizers (crispy chicken roll, calamari, and crab puffs) and they were as accurate as how the waitress described it. We also had their entrees and the serving size was quite large (like, for 2 people max). Would recommend definitely! Suggestions are to have the staff roam around from time to time, and provide a little more lighting since I get the dim atmosphere of the restaurant but a little would be nicer.
Certainly not bad.
Customer service was just perfect.
I do wish the food had more heat, despite ordering extra spicy or 10/10 there was next to no spice. And the chicken was under seasoned when cooked and a little bland and chewy.
Ordered a green curry lunch special that was okay (a touch on the small size) and a special coconut curry noodle chicken that certainly looked okay and tasted fairly good.
Well worth a visit, I’m sure overtime, they can fix your spice level wants.
Great satay! Additionally had the chicken gyoza and salted edamame for appetizers. For our entrees, we settled on the red curry (great flavor!), pad see ew, and pad thai. Our party of 5 enjoyed ALL of the dishes. Staff was friendly and attentive. So glad we stumbled on this restaurant.

Great neighborhood gem!
Came here for a company team lunch. Meals are $15 or above, fairly reasonable. Sizeable meat portions and big bowls. Best of all, an unexpected appetizier buffet featuring hot soup, around 10 fried items, and a salad and dessert section is included with the lunch! Fast delivery of the meals too!
Best food ever!
we got the red curry with chicken and pad see ew and both were delicious!! food was ready quickly too. highly recommend this place!
Went for lunch hungry. Left full. T was great.
Yellow Curry is automatic. And they give you a really nice portion.
This place is amazing and provides good service and hospitality. They're constantly checking in to make sure we have everything, and the food was very good. I recommend getting the springrolls :)
I enjoyed this place because of the acoustic and relaxing music. I loveeeee the sticky rice and mango dessert. Loved the service, very quick! Amazing curry, love that I asked for spicy and it really was! Was helping with sinuses! Lol
I love this place overall, has been like my 5th time coming when I'm in the areas, will keep coming back!
I have eaten in this restaurant several times and the food is very good. I have recommended this restaurant to several friends.
The service was quick and very polite. I had the best Tom kha soup of my life! The food is delicious every time I go.
The Thai tea was so so good! Service was super amicable and attentive.
I got the pineapple curry and it was👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Thai Tea was really good and the waiter was very chill.
Service was super kind and patient!
Great service and drinks were good
Best soup of my life. Mango sticky rice was delightful, service impeccable.

Just delicious. I love it here. The customer service is superb and the food is fresh and finger licking good. Family friendly place to bring your little ones.
The pad Thai here is amazing to my taste buds the atmosphere is great for a lunch break
Lunch buffet is amazing.
Try the pad see ew.
10/10.
Long time customers. We've always had excellent food and service here. If you haven't been, give them a try.
Wonderful food and excellent waitstaff! Love the service with Nut, she's great!
Delicious Thai Curries!!

Absolute worst Thai food i have ever had. Had the Pad Kee Mao and it had no flavor and rubbery shrimp. I am Souteast Asian and this place was made for people with no tastebuds. How do they get away with serving this low quality food and charging the most.
GREAT FOOD
GREAT MUSIC
GREAT VIBES

The BEST Pad Thai and yellow curry I have tried in Texas. Both orders are my go to. This place is great for dine in (clean, relaxing) and take-out. Generous portion size as well. The staff are always very kind and courteous.
So happy that I discovered this place. Their food is so delicious especially their crab puffs and mango stick rice!
Good food options and great taste. Amazing customer service as well! Also have great buffet! More than recommend!
I've never had a dish here that I didn't like. They've recently started an appetizer bar that we love to go to!! Great value for the price.
Great place to eat you can't go wrong, the food is cooked with love and affection, and I even believe it have some healing properties
Lovely flavor in Thai coffee
I had the fried vegetable gyoza, A taste of Ginger, and their incredibly delicious handmade coconut ice cream, wonderful!
The food was delicious! The vegetarian option were tasty! The service was great. I was able to grab a quick bite and feel relaxed with a group of friends.
Perfect place for a work lunch. They're super quick and reasonably priced. The food is excellent. I'd highly recommend.
As I walked in, I was not welcomed in. I would not recommend people of any sort of “color” to come here nor feel welcomed to do so. Today around 6:30pm, the greeter was very rude & I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
My second time at this restaurant once on carry out this time dined in and food was excellent. The hostess was polite and very helpful - good service! Will be back!
My first time here. Good fresh Thai food!
The crying tiger is a cry for help. Un chewable. No way it is steak. It must be a piece of round eye or something. I had one bite and sent it back. They still charged me for it. Everything else was fine.
I was in the area so I looked up Thai restaurants. It seemed like this place had good reviews. I got here before 2pm. When I sat down to order the girl told me that I had to place before 2:30 because the kitchen closes then. I was fine with that, but why was it when the girl gave a the check at about 2:40pm she told me they were closed when on the door say 3pm?!?!?! I was still eating when I got KICKED OUT of this restaurant when clearly on the door it says it’s open until 3pm
As far as the food, the pad Thai was good, but I would not go back here especially the way I was treated
Had the Tom Kha soup the other day and still thinking about how incredible it was. I'll be torn because I want to try more things but definitely going back soon. Saw a previous review about slow service but I had promp and friendly service in my 1st experience.
The food is good, but the prices are to high for some iteams. We ordered the sticky rice for 5$ and they gave us 2 spoonfulls, the food was good but portion to price was unacceptable
Unbelievable soup. I never knew curry was so good. Egg roles are great too! I haven’t had better especially for the price.
Amazing 💖 I love this place.
I always have dinner with my friends at this place and always order my beef pad Thai. The pineapple friend rice is amazing, best I tried so far in Houston.
Their Beef Pad thai noddles, chicken crispy spring rolls and thai sauce are delicious!!! Quality over quantity 10/10 recommend
We really liked it. Food came out fast and hot. Samosas were good, they have a good happy hour special on most of their appetizers from what I saw. Almost got some free sake ;) our waitress was really cool. I would say we took home a meal worth of leftovers each.
Delicious food, incredibly polite service, and an upbeat and peaceful atmosphere characterize this place. Our first visit and it is the new family favorite. We will definitely be back!
Everything is delicious 😋
I really like the food and the employees are very nice and respectful!! Definitely should consider coming to eat here in Iyara!!
VERY VERY Good food!!! Great atmosphere and the staff are super friendly!!!! Will be back.
Candidly, it wasn't extremely busy when we stopped but don’t let that fool you. Tom Kha was great as well as other entrees. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We will stop again!
Delicious food. Freshly made, friendly staff, and clean. Yummy!
Seriously the best Thai food in the area! I eat Thai food frequently and this is by far my favorite. I went here last week and everything we had was amazing - from the chicken satay, to the crispy chicken egg rolls, over the pad kee mao, and the best dish on their menu, the crispy chicken herb fried rice! The staff were very friendly, the food came out quickly, and the portion sizes are huge (for dine-in AND takeout). The food is so tasty I will come back here with other people without a doubt and I highly recommend this restaurant!
Food is pretty good but service needs to improve drastically. Lunch experience was acceptable but dinner experience left much to be desired. There was a 12min difference the food ordered for out party of two. Water and iced tea refills were non existent. I was also surprised that tables were not cleared. Staff shortage could have an issue. Service has improved but the restaurant was not busy. The food seems to have improved as well. Definitely an improvement from previous visits. Congratulations
Food is excellent but the staff needs to really work on the service
I came for lunch and they started pushing me to finish faster or coming to take my plate while I was still eating
The restaurant closes at 3 and I reached at 2:10 but they started pushing me to leave at 2:30 itself.
Spending 30$ for this kind of service is unacceptable!
The receptionist was especially very cold.
The food and service here was amazing! I totally recommend.
Fast and DELICIOUS. I could eat their Tom Yum soup everyday! Right near my job in the energy corridor so it’s a great lunch option for me as well.
Best value is their lunch special - a good value that comes with a salad and a non alcoholic drink. Always a solid choice for a lunch on a weekday
Very good
There are probably 50 Thai places closer to me, but Iyara is consistently tasty order to order.
The food is fresh & good , the fried rice is the best around
I am a frequent customer of Iyara and the food is incredible every time, not to mention the stellar service. They treat their customers like family and it makes me want to keep coming back! Highly recommend this restaurant
I go for lunch quite often. The red and green curry are fantastic. I always know I can get a very consistent good level of service to get back to work in time for my next meeting.
Favorite Thai food in Houston!
Casual atmosphere but seriously good Thai food! I had several dishes with medium spice, and it was still reasonably spicy, which means more pepper icons added to your meal would make it legitimately, painfully hot. Very nice place to eat in. The food is very good indeed. Love it
So I ordered here once last month and this will be my third time coming back! Great customer service , cute notes on the boxes so bonus points for that. The food tasted SUPERB it was authentic and super fresh, with that being said will always be a loyal customer. Thanks for introducing me too Thai food I love it so much I'm sure I'll be back next week. Stay awesome! Btw I had Pad Thai ,Pad se ewe and friend rice all highly recommended!
The food is just not good. That’s the problem. Not flavorful enough. We had sprung rolls and curries.
Just got the crispy chicken and garlic pepper shrimp to go, and the meals are great! Will be coming back soon
Picked up these 2 entrees to go - Chili Paste Eggplant & Taste of Ginger. Both were absolutely delicious! We've tried other Thai food restaurants in the Energy Corridor but Iyara remains our favorite. Have been doing more take-away lately, so can't comment on the restaurant atmosphere. Food is always ready and hot (temperature). Love the handwritten messages on the "to go" containers; makes me smile. Mild is the perfect heat for us.
Great service and very good food! The lunch specials are a great deal and a generous size.
We got the pad Thai and the Panang Curry. Both were out of this world! The girls that work there are so nice and very hospitable. Really can’t say enough good things about this spot.
I prefer this Thai restaurant for dine-in and take-out from the others in the area. The food is always delicious.
Great food
Certainly not bad.
Customer service was just perfect.
I do wish the food had more heat, despite ordering extra spicy or 10/10 there was next to no spice. And the chicken was under seasoned when cooked and a little bland and chewy.
Ordered a green curry lunch special that was okay (a touch on the small size) and a special coconut curry noodle chicken that certainly looked okay and tasted fairly good.
Well worth a visit, I’m sure overtime, they can fix your spice level wants.
Great food, excellent service..very friendly staff. Papaya salad was soooo good.
Really tasty and affordable Thai restaurant. Great location, kind staff, and good food. I found that the hot was more mild than I wanted, but I know that those levels are not scientific.
Awesome lil hide away with great food and better customer service!!! I would recommend everyone to check it out for yourself!!!
I order from here quite often and I can confidently say that this is very good Thai Food. This isn't what this review is about though -- Every time I have ordered, there are hand written thank-yous. This time around it looks like they went out of the way to buy stickers that say "thank you" on them in cute foil to stick receipts onto delivery packaging.
To those who own and run this establishment -- You're wonderful and I will always appreciate your work.
We had lunch here twice. Food is great. Lunch prices are fair and honestly cheap! Food was pretty mild. I asked for medium, maybe I should have ordered more because there was very little kick to it. But the flavor is great and we throughly enjoyed it.,
Excellent authentic Thai food. I really enjoyed the larb gai. Greet service.
I went to this place for a quick to go order after work. I looked at the menu and saw that they had whole wings and I ordered them. I also ordered a Thai soup and beef pad Thai. I opened my chicken when I got them while in my car and noticed they were all flats and they had been over fried and really dark. On top of that they weren't whole wings as indicated on the menu. I took them back and got a refund because they were too over fried. The other food was mediocre but edible. I will stick to the Thai places that I already know. I went here because it's near my house and it was a new spot. Try at your own risk.
Great food! We loved the tofu green curry, the beef yellow curry, and the samosas!
Came here for my lunch break. The lunch special is a entre, spring roll, salad, and drink for $12! The service was efficient. I don’t know if the food was so amazing that I NEED to come again but it was good nonetheless. Perhaps I will need to order something new next time. 4/5.
Some great Thai food, go at least once a week...always good.
Love this place! Their food is so great! My family and I had a lovely dinner here tonight and everything was great! The food isn’t overly spicy for a mild and I like that! Still has a kick but eatable! Feel like sometimes it’s just so spicy you can’t even enjoy it! They are so nice as well.
The delivered chicken was not kung Pao and I have my doubts it was chicken. It wasn't a matter of not liking the taste but getting sick bad taste.
Quick service with decent to good flavored standard Thai items. No cheese rolls though.
Ok food... no more buffet, way too pricey for the quality
customer service was abysmal.
This place gets 5 stars for their customer service. The staff were very sweet and attentive and SO CUTE! they wrote us a little Thank You note on our to go boxes! The food was really delicious - I had the red curry with squid (medium spicy) and had it that evening and it was SO flavorful. Big shout out for the Elephant Decor! Loved it! Such a pleasant experience
I love this place!! The servers were so kind and attentive, the food came out quickly and everything was so tasty. Can’t wait to come back, love it here :))))
I can't say the Thai food here is that great but the location is good. The food kind of reminds me of something you would find at an airport. Even their most spicy level is less than a bag of spicy Doritos. It's a nice place though. No bar.
Expensive & Tastes Good. Thai Chili Basil Ground Chicken Medium $13.50 (Sliced Chicken, Beef, Shrimp $3). Try $14.50 Med or Mild Yellow, Red, Pinneapple Curry (Chicken, Beef, Shrimp $3) / Basil Fried Rice. Sticky Mango Rice $9.50
We've ordered from Iyara a few times and each time they hit it out of the park. The food is fresh and delicious.
Reasonable price. Food is good.
Great lunch, good price, casual and calm dine-in experience. I will be back.
THE best Thai cuisine in my opinion for the area. I work in the Energy corridor and I do use Uber eats and DoorDash quite often when it comes to lunch and every single time I have ordered from IYARA I have been very satisfied with how fresh and hot my food was. I can only imagine how good the food is if I actually sit down and eat in the restaurant (which is on my to do list). Their packaging is very good they even include very nice written messages on the packaging which I find very polite. I always recommend this place with confidence!
I have been eating at Iyara Thai for over 5 years. Unfortunately today's lunch was very undistinguished. The rice was too wet and sticky. The noodles was not much better than instant ramen. I will give it another try. I hope the chef just had a bad day.
Delicious Thai food, consistently great. Have never dined in but will someday. We take out from here 1x/week
Everyone was really friendly and the food was great!
Great
Awesome. Truly awesome, yummy, Thai food. Highly recommended... probably my number one choice for takeaway at the moment. Order their Pad Thai, dumplings and spring rolls and be blown away by the flavour!
Food is excellent and always fresh. I love their red curry. It’s flavorful.
The beef special meat too tough to eat.
Edit: received communication to rectify. Respect.
asked to add shrimp to a Thai salad and was informed even after consulting the kitchen that they could not do that even though you can add shrimp to just about any other menu item.
Absolutely fantastic. Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in the area (and there are many good options). Awesome for lunch.
Excellent service and food. my favorite place for a quick lunch.
Delicious red curry! Quick and friendly service.
Great and delicious food and always fresh
Decided to try after YELP highlight. Problem, most of dishes viewed, restaurant said “don’t have”. Problem; drove from Sugarland, TX, passing variety of Thai restaurants. This was a mistake!
Disappointed in the Larb. Overpowered by the lime juice. Nit Noi has the best Larb Gai.
This place has been my frequent go-to for dinner since I moved to the area a year ago. The restaurant is clean, the staff are all nice, everything is great, but more importantly, their curry transports me to my happy place with every bite. All the food we've tried is good, but that yellow curry 😩👌
Their teas are also great and actually taste fresh. I can't talk this place up enough. Thank you for the great food (you get what you pay for) and the heartwarming notes you leave on my takeout orders. I'm grateful for all the delicious meals 🙏
I do not recommend getting the green curry or calamari, all of it has no flavor. Staff is very nice and welcoming but the food is not worth the $30 I spent. I had to season my own food. If you are going to make the curry nearly $20, please consider making the food at least taste good. I eventually just trashed it and got a hot n spicy from McDonald’s.
Best Thai food on the face of the planet. The chef used to have a restaurant in the Dallas area a few years ago and when she moved to Houston, I was heartbroken. I have probably eaten at every Thai restaurant in the metroplex and no one makes food like she does. She puts love in her food. It’s full of depth of flavor, never one note. It’s never greasy, always light and sophisticated. As soon as I heard she opened a new place in Houston, we got ourselves down there as soon as we could. I would pay so much more for their food than they charge. Service is fast and the employees are great. Amazing amazing amazing. 50 stars out of 5. You will love every single item they have to offer. No doubt in my mind. I know I’ll be making the 4 hour trip from Dallas to eat here as often as I can.
Update (November 2021): still the best Thai food on the face of the planet. Fresh, full of love, great service, even better quality.
Nice spot. Good ambience. Great service. Good food.
Bad service. First brought the dish late by 30 mins. Then the dish wrong and the final third dish was literal trash couldn't eat it.
Absolutely delicious! Staff was very prompt and courteous. We'll definitely be back.
Absolutely yummy. Food was amazing and the tea was superb. Very responsible priced. A must do!
Great service! Lady upfront was very nice about closing at 3 & still let us order food & just very nice service. Also the environment seemed great , very clean , & the fancy music gave it that perfect touch! Highly recommend it!
Nice thai place, but very pricey!!
Delicious. Ate so much that I enjoyed it this night for dinner.
Liked a few items on the menu, will order again. It wasn't great though. Wish they served Massamun curry.
Good food and friendly service. Definitely go to spot for the Thai fried rice it never disappoints
I ordered clam with basil. It’s super salty, I didn’t feel good after eat. When I arrived home, I vomit badly! Person that went with me eat other menu, and diarreah so bad. It was our first time and will never again. Expensive and poison food. If you don’t want customer, just close your business! I should report somewhere. Be careful.
Where do I begin?! I was in the area and decided I was craving “something” but wasn’t sure what that “something” was. I have tried other places in the area but was disappointed but decided to try this place since it was new. First the service. AMAZING! I was greeted immediately and was allowed to sit anywhere. I was dining alone but my server was very attentive and his timing was perfect. I never had to wait for anything but i also didn’t feel rushed. Definitely what i needed tonight. Next the wine. I ordered a glass of the house red. It was tasty and guess what, it’s BOGO from 4-7 on weeknights! Can’t beat that deal! Now the food. It was delicious! I ordered the Iyara fried rice and the drunken noodles to go. It was perfect. I wanted mild for both dishes and it was the perfect amount of heat. Don’t let the negative reviews stop you from coming here. Iyara has gained a life long customer in me. I will be back!
The service was friendly and quick. But even better was the food. It's making me hungry just thinking about that spicy, creamy red curry. Yum!
Love the food. Variety and presentation were amazing. I'll be back asap!
Awesome place! I will definitely be back. The pad Thai and red curry chicken are great.
Sweet and great service. Wonderful food
Oh my God!
This is the best Thia Food I've had ever.
I love it.
I have no words to describe how delicious the food was.
Excelente servicio y muy sabrosa la comida.
