Oh my gosh! They are not lying when they got the award for best yellow curry. My husband ordered it and it was so so good! I have always had the best food here. My pad Thai was also very good. This is my favorite place to eat pad Thai. Come try this place, you won't regret it.

We've been looking for a good Thai restaurant near our house and found this spot recently. This was our second time visiting.

We ordered the medium Seafood Tom Yum, spice level 3, which was very tasty with a nice kick. It consists of scallops, mussels, fish and shrimp, nice fresh ingredients.

Our second dish was the Chicken Pad Thai, spice level 2, it had good flavor and the portion is hearty. The only thing we wish was different was that there was a lot of sauce that made the noodles a little bit soggier than what we are accustomed to. Next time we'll ask them to lighten up on the sauce.

Lastly, we ordered the spicy green beans, spice level 2. They have a spicy vegetable dish that consists of green beans, bell pepper, carrots and onions that we ordered the first visit, but we requested that we just wanted a dish with only green beans, and they were more than happy to accommodate us.

If you like spicy, 3 is a good level, anything above that may be too spicy if you're not used to the spiciness of Thai chili peppers.

The staff is friendly and attentive. We've found a nice go-to Thai spot near our house!

We had a group of 11 ppl for dinner yesterday. The food was delicious especially my soft shell crab with curry. The waitress and staff were sooooo accommodating! I accidentally flipped my cake over. They surprised us and reconstructed it for us and looked amazing. They let us stay was past closing time and never pressured us to leave. Highly recommend!!! Can't wait to go back!!!

Wow wow wow! I just arrived in houston today and picked this place to call in an order togo. I actually ordered online for us and we stopped to pick it up.

The serving sizes where very generous and the quality of ingredients were the BeST.

DUDE, HANDS DOWN THE BEST THAI TEA I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! Even compared to the Thai tea we tried in Thailand this year. It’s most likely a preference thing but Bananas Thai makes their Thai tea exactly how I like it. Not to mention their food is really good too!

Confess I don’t have the most sophisticated palate, but this joint’s curry may be the best Thai I’ve ever had in H-Town. So good, I went multiple days in a row to try the various styles.

Lunch combo was a bargain, and enough food for two whole meals. I’m a sucker for great leftovers.

Atmosphere is quaint / homey. Quiet, too, so the perfect place to dine with a book.

I've eaten here many times and never been disappointed. The food is authentic and delicious. Pad kee mao (medium) is my favorite dish although other things i've tried are amazing as well. The tom kai soup is chefs kiss too!

They have great lunch specials. I had the chicken Panang curry and it creamy, rich and spicy! I would not go above 3 hot.

Best seafood fried rice I've ever had. My family loves their food.

Been visiting this establishment for years, through different ownership. Typically choose this one over the other Thai places in the area - even spent Valentine's Day there, take my out of town family & friends when they visit. After today, that will no longer happen...they messed up 2 of the 3 meals. I called in when I realized n my # was left. I received a call 30 mins later, 1 hr after picking up my food, to be told they would remake it and deliver. I said no, we already made a steak and have eaten. Can we have a credit of some sort...the "fix" is for me to bring back the uneaten food whenever I come back to eat there. I asked what if that isn't for another week or so...yes, bring it back then! I hung up, shocked at this response. I called back a bit later to make sure I understood and was then told that they were doing me a favor by offering to remake it and later in the convo, that they were trying to meet me half way. Being an owner of a business, I explained that fixing the problem was not a favor and that I shouldn't be met half way. The young lady explained that they are a small company and require, even their most loyal customers, to bring food back when there is a problem with it. I explained that puts a double burden on the customer - once when they get their original order wrong and again when they have to store food until the next time they go in to eat. Some people may be happy to make the trip back to the restaurant or wait for an order to be delivered, but that didn't work for my family. I am beyond shocked that, even after I explained this, even after seeing order history, even after offering to take even just a $5 credit on a $50 order, they still chose to handle this situation this way. When we sit in the restaurant, the service usually takes extensive time BUT, understanding its a small family owned business is what keeps us coming back. Until today...Pranee's will now be our go-to for Thai.

The place wasn't too busy. Order was taken and iced tea was served. I didn't like that the soup appetizer and main course was all served at the same time. The food was above average but the presentation left much to be desired. The dessert that came with the lunch menu was a couple of broken pieces of a cookie. There ain't any refills for the iced tea as well. It's a little disappointing considering the cost of the meal.

My go-to Thai restaurant for dine-in and take-out. They give you so many noodles in the Pad Kee Mao (more than other restaurants) and I've really enjoyed all their dishes. I always shop around for my favorite Thai place and this is my favorite for Houston.

Ever since Thai Gourmet closed I have been looking for a new Thai restaurant. Decided to give this place a try and was not disappointed. It doesn’t have quite the menu selection as Thai Gourmet but what they do make tastes great.

It was our first time trying this restaurant. Nice little place. Server was good at the beginning. Took our order. I ordered Pad Thai, server asked me how spicy I wanted. I told her about 3/4 and easy on peanut. We got our food in timely manner. I took my first bite and it was too sweet and killed my appetite. After one bite I pushed the plate away. Then they got busy I tried to get her attention but out of luck. When she get to our table and told her about it, she apologized and told me that she will take off from the check. I tried ordering something to go she told me that it would take 30 minutes to get the food. I changed my mind, not to order takeout. When I received the check I saw they to 50% off on my meal only, instead taking it off completely.
Total experience was bad and we are not coming back.
Please fix your issues before you lose more customers.

It's been a long time since I've actually had genuine thai food. I went there for lunch and tried the lunch menu. Prices are reasonable and the food portion is just perfect. There is also a kid menu that has different options for the kids which I like.

I had the lunch time pad see ewe with tofu. The noodles was hot and the noodles was thick but not too glutinous. I had it medium spicy and I would write it was spicy and I do eat quite hot. The kids portion of pad see ewe was quite big but I shared it between my kids. They both really enjoyed it.

I would defintely recommend giving it a try. But watch out for how hot you ask for.

I've eaten here numerous times. The Thai food is very good. It's kind of a hidden little location. I'll often order Thai hot and can handle it pretty well. This is better than some locations, but there are other locations where Thai hot is too much.

The restaurant owners are so amazing and they gave us some nice samples as a courtesy. Food is exceptional 💯💯

Zero stars. Not sure if they were having a bad day or what but no service. We waited 58 minutes and no one came to bother to get us drinks or orders despite our repeated ask. I Was excited to try as the google reviews looked good but forget that. Never coming back. I should know better next time when there are high school kids running the place. Don’t bother coming here. What a waste of time !

I was greeted immediately by the super friendly staff as soon as I walked through the door. They were pretty busy, but maintained a professional air. Delicious food. We ordered the soft rolls (shrimp) for appetizer and it was very tasty. Next we ordered the basil fried rice and the green curry fried rice. Both were excellent, however, I slightly preferred the green curry one over the basil. My kids ordered the yellow curry. I tasted theirs as well just to see what it was like. It was very creamy and full of flavor. I do not normally like yellow curry but this dish here changed my mind. The service was also very good. Very impressed with this place.

Was blown away, I thought I was overreacting because this is the first Thai restaurant I've tried, but they are better than not only most other Thai restaurants but most restaurants period I mean everything on the menu is amazing. Let me start by saying I wish I hadn't slept on this place for as long as I did. I've know and driven by here a lot, on my daily commute, amd never chose to check them out. But one evening we were out, and I just picked this place because we wanted to try a new place. And I'm glad we did.
The egg rolls for the appetizer were on point! They were fresh, crisp, and flavorful. The sauce is crazy good! Tangy and sweet with a hint of spice.
For the dish, we split the whole fish. I can't recall which one we chose, but I think it was tilapia. The fish was scored perfectly and fried then served on a fish shaped dish with a side of rice and veggies. The sauce they covered the fish with was also delicious. I guess you could say the flavor was "Bananas"?
To finish the night we got a dessert which was a small dish of their homemade ice cream with a banana slice and topped with chocolate sauce. The ice cream was smooth and creamy and a great end to the meal.
The staff was super friendly and very attentive, keeping our water filled all the time. Definitely will visit again whenever I'm craving Thai!

Quite possibly the worst excuse for Pad Thai ever. Salad was from a bag. Wilted and dry carrots. Dessert was a defrosted cream puff. Absolutely terrible!

I came here because it was next door to the monkey Joe’s I was at. I was in the mood for something small, like a desert or appetizer. I ordered their fried bananas and homemade coconut ice cream and OH MY GOD!! It is so delicious, I’ll definitely be returning for more. The texture and flavor of the coconut ice cream was perfection. I highly recommend trying it!

Great place to stop in for a quick lunch. Not nearly as spicy as we were expecting for Thai food but was still tasty. Quick and friendly service, good food, plenty of parking and good pricing!

If this is Thai food, then what have I been eating my when life? The flavors were crisp, strong, but did not overpower each other. I ordered a variety of foods, but my favorite was the Massaman Land. You could taste the flavors of the curry and still taste the lamb. Everything was in harmony and still gave my taste buds a welcoming huh? I have eaten Thai food in the United States and across Europe. It's the same, it's Thai. But I have never eaten Thai food in Thailand, and this food doesn't taste Westernized, to me. But I admit I don't know. But I do know that this tastes better then all the other restaurants i have been too. When I ate a fish cake, I couldn't identify the flavor. It wasn't fish, but it was good! I tried the Thai jerky in some fish sauce dip and it was both good and unsettling that I have never tasted anything like it before. It's restaurants like this that make you question what you think you know about food in a delicious way!

Authentic thai food with great flavor! Portions are large and services are awesome too! One of our all time favorite when it comes to Thai food in Houston. Will definitely recommend.

I love Banana Thai so much! I’ve been going to them for years and they have been consistently great! They are family owned and you feel that when so much when you dine in. They serve your food on a beautiful array of colorful dishes.The food always tastes so fresh and it’s portion sizes leaves you with leftovers that taste even better the next day! When my hubby and I first started visiting there, a young man named Chris served us and was always super excited to greet us. We realized he did it with all the customers and brought a smile to everyone’s face. His mother (whom I believe is one of the owners) even came out to greet us because the food was so good we wanted to meet her and tell her ourselves! I ordered food for my family yesterday and there were drawings on all the cartons and containers. It was adorable. If you are looking for a place that you can get some of the best Thai food in Texas while also receiving the best service, get to Banana Thai and you will not be disappointed!

First time visiting, great service and yummy food but the smell of the place is unbearable. It’s septic tank smell.. it’s harmful for employees and customer. They seriously need to consider getting it cleaned out. Couldn’t even finish the meal cuz I had started feeling I was going to vomit if I kept on smelling it. Bathroom area and by front desk couldn’t even stand there ..

Just ordered through Uber Eats and oh my god??? This is the best Thai food I have ever had. We ordered the drunken noodles and red curry and our minds were blown. It is so impossibly good. Thank you so much!!

Went here with my family, the restaurant itself was a little dirty, but the food was pretty good. The thai beef jerky was excellent and the fried rice was pretty good too. Would go again.
