Hongthong Thai is the place to go for Authentic Thai & Lao Street Food and amazing Thai Beverages and Boba Tea. Scratch food from timeless family recipes!
Experience Thailand, one recipe at a time.
It was a smaller venue. The food was made perfectly to order, heat to order 1-5, I ordered a panang curry heat 2. And it's about a medium to hot buffalo sauce. The kids menu has Thai based selections and a nuggets option for pickup eaters. It was relatively inexpensive. My kids loved the Thai food, and are relatively picky but willing to try new things. The staff was nice, very helpful, attentive enough, and the presentation was what you would expect and better from a small Thai cafe. I highly suggest this spot for a quick dine alone or with your smaller family. If you're a large group I would suggest seeing about ordering ahead of taking it to go. Well worth it!
New ownership, but same awesome quality of service and food! If you love Lao and Thai food, you definitely have to try this cozy spot out!
My wife and I had the sampler, pad thai, lao-style papaya salad, mango sticky rice, and we washed it down with some good ole’ Thai tea!
Our server was this really sweet young lady who definitely helped us decide on the menu, and we got to meet the new owner, who is such a sweet lady herself!
The photos can only do so much, so GO NOW!
This place easily tops every other Thai restaurant I’ve tried! 10/10!! My hubby enjoyed everything and was very surprised by the new things we tried, in a good way. We had fish cakes and fried dumplings for the appetizer, drunken noodles and curry fried rice, and mango sticky rice for dessert. We also had mango smoothies and I had lychee popping boba to mine (it was so delicious). EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! The waitress was the sweetest and has the prettiest smile🤗 Also, if you care about statues, there were no altars with food on them. I’m a Christian, so I don’t eat at restaurants with altars. We will definitely be back to this gem of a restaurant! 💯
My friend ordered a tray of papaya salad Laos style here for her son's birthday party, and it was so freakin' good. I was still craving it when I got home, so I told my boyfriend I would like to have lunch here another day.
We came here to eat on July 4th around 3:45, not realizing they close early at 4:00. I believe our server is the owner there. She was still willing to take our order and did not make us feel rushed at all. Such a sweet lady! Superb service.
The food was exceptionally good, but the papaya salad did not hit like last time. Bummers. Maybe because the cooks were trying to hurry to close up. Whatever it is, I'll be coming back to try it once again.
Food: 4/5
Service: 5/5

1st time here and I am satisfied. SERVICE WAS IMPECCABLE. He was knowledgeable and helped me make my decisions with ease. All I wanted was some shrimp n veggie fried rice, no egg, add bean sprouts and make it spicy! They had levels of SPICE. I chose #3 but I could've went higher. The young cashier chose the basil fried rice and his choice was good. Then I order a Boba Thai coffee....it was good but I'm not a fan of Boba at all! But But But that food smelled so good I could scream....and it was soooooooo dang good n fresh!
Pros: great service, clean, fast, food is very good, vast menu
Cons: the rice was sticky rice and as good as it was, I would've wanted different.
Just the best. My family and I get the red curry and basil fried rice once a week and it’s always consistently great. I always enjoy seeing the owner, Amy, who is so kind and committed to excellent service and food. We also love the egg rolls and mango sticky rice. Many gluten free options which is a huge plus.
I don’t eat meat and ordered take out from here, but got sent chicken or pork instead of tofu. They even checked off the ticket that says “tofu” lol. Delivery site wouldn’t refund me, so I paid $20+ for food I can’t eat… The thai tea was good, but somewhere advertising vegetarian options and sending, a vegetarian, meat instead is kind of not great. I would try again, but not delivery where I can’t ensure it is correct. Would definitely be weary.
I am absolutely in love with this place! Every dish we tried was very complex and full of flavor. My favorites were the panang curry and the Thai Picnic Sampler. I will definitely be coming back regularly.
Firstly, high praise for our server for her sweet and attentive demeanor. I'm pretty sure she was at least working part time in the kitchen too, if not solo. That said, be patient dining here, the whole experience is worth your time and money.
Amazing food! I had stir fried mixed vegetable delight with chicken, my wife had the egg drop soup. Hearty servings for both and so, so delicious.
Also had lemonade and milk tea boba, all excellent!
Plenty of vegetarian options, though they aren't labeled, but all items are described clearly in the menu.
A portion of the menu is served only between 11-2:30 pm for lunch, if you want the most options.
It's only my first time dining here, but I am THRILLED to return for more!
Very delicious red curry, cooked perfect. Will definitely return here again.

Me and my wife tried tonight and the food was excellent. She has to have gluten free.
Incredible and authentic! Tough to find Thai food like this - cannot wait to go back! Did not have a single bad or even mediocre dish as it was all exceptional.

I order food from Uber eats yesterday. When I got my order it’s not what I expected there was missing stuff from my soup and only got 3 fish balls. I didn’t get ground fish, ground pork, pork blood, cilantro, and green onion. There was barely no meat.

Amazing food made by wonderful people! Pad kra pao is my go to, everything is awesome though. If you don't see something on the menu, it's worth asking if they know how to make it.
amazing food, some of the best fish curry i’ve had in the US!

I've been looking for a restaurant that serves Authentic Thai foods and of all the many places I've tried, they serve the best 😎 Very good food, and friendly service! I will keep coming back for more! Highly recommended!
This is my go to for boba. I always have the coconut island. They top it with fresh coconut that floats and waits patiently in the creamy base and it ends up at the bottom when you’re all done with your drink. It really is like a reward. If I have to sacrifice calories, it is for this baby right here. My boys always ask for taro and their staff always tops theirs with whipped cream and sprinkles. Cute touch!!!
The staff is always nice and they explain the items I just love how welcome I feel here. If you really want to be bad and fully indulge, their mango sticky rice is just so comforting. Make this your final stop after picking up the famous spring rolls down the strip.

Great place! Food is awesome every time we go, this place is our top choice for Thai food and boba :)
My kids and I ate here yesterday. Food was excellent and service was grand. The place was very clean too.
hmm... the food is so so..
I've had better pad thai, and also it's kinda pricey. I ordered the pad thai with chicken and tofu. The 1st time it came out, I sent it back because it was lacking the tofu. Then it came back out with just tofu. Won't be trying this place again with so many mess ups for it being my first time eating. So I'd be weary of this place if you were to try it.
Delicious, fresh food and really good Thai Tea! The boba was cooked perfectly! Very kind people! 10/10
I love this place, I love the food, I love the staff. Best pad thai I’ve ever had. Comforting atmosphere. Coconut smoothie very good. Thai tea very good.
I was in the mood for a Thai iced coffee so thought I would check this place out. Friendly, clean, and the coffee is great! I want to go back for a full meal next time.
This place has the BEST pad Thai I have ever had !!. The steamed dumplings are out of this world good !
If you want good food that’s homemade then this is the place. You can’t get any better in my opinion. Just frickin lovely! Happiness ! I dream of this place in my sleep !!! Wow!!! So fricking yummy !!!!!
I really enjoy eating here. I love all their sauces that they sell go to. I always get stick rice, papaya salad, Lao sausage, fried chicken, and the jeows! So delicious!!
Truly delightful experience start to finish. It's a place that welcomes you with open arms. Food all tasted fresh, herbaceous, and homemade. Best tasting shrimp I've had in a restaurant in a looooong time. Shared with husband the drunken noodles, shrimp wonton soup and chicken mok with the best sticky rice. Thai boba was excellent in strength and mild in sweetness- just like I like! We will return and hope others will make it a regular experience as well!
So I went to the Asian market to pick up my 2 fried Talapia left the market and was craving boba 🧋. As I was leaving I saw a small cafe next door that sold Boba 🧋 I went in to try it. When I went into this cafe ☕️ it had all the little treats I love like sesame balls, sauces for all kinds of meat and fruit, pork buns and all. The place was so clean, but the customer service was 💯. The family that works there make it friendly, and comfortable for all kinds of cultures. All the questions I had about there products they educated me on the food and their cultural dishes. When the man made me the chocolate boba 🧋 I was in awwhh! 🥰 because it reminded me of the real chocolate 🍫 I have in my island. I left ordering more than what I came for, but the dipping sauce for my fried Talapia was the best I ever tasted. I love how they put there own spin, twist and touch on there cultural dishes! I never had a dipping sauce for my sesame red bean balls that was delicious. I’m so happy that I came in, this is a hidden Gem 💎 We need to support business like this. These are the kinds of restaurants we need in this community! They put their heart ♥️ into every dish and the quality shows in their food and customer Service that they love what they do. 💯
Recently found this place and can attest that the food & service is great. I have only ordered online so far but absolutely love it! the brown sugar milk tea and Pad See Ew is my new obsession.
I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened. The owner, Bruce and his wife are super kind. Please continue to come and support them, the food is amazing! I normally order the pho, Thai Suki or fried dumplings. My whole family comes here!
Very bad experience, rude staff, extremely overpriced, inside was dirty and there was trash on the tables, hot food looked very old. I'd rather eat at 7- Eleven. Embarrassing.
I order from them on Uber eats... the dish is always amazing +
The food here is the bomb and the people here always provide excellent customer service! I'd eat here everyday if I could.
Tiny place. I ordered spring rolls for take out. They were good. The service was great. The man spent some time talking about the menu with me.
Have only done take out here twice. Small place but definitely a great one. There is a man (owner?) there who genuinely makes me feel like my business is appreciated even tho I am in there for a fleeting minute for pick up.
Just got an uber delivery from here, first time ordering the Pho is delicious and very fresh vegies. Packaged extremely well. Our teas were also really good, better than going to some boba tea shops that only do tea.
Good foods, friendly owners.... ate too fast to take pictures of the food. Love the avocado smoothi. Would recommend!
Excellent lunch spot. Their boba tea is also one of my favorites.
The guy in the counter and probably the owner is a dishonest person. And he lacks good customer service and politeness! We, our friends and family will never go back to this place!
Check your bill when paying, he will rip you off.
What a shame, just for few dollars and willing to be dishonest!!!
DIRTY PLACE AS WELL, I HAVE SEEN COCKROACHES AS WELL!!!
Bruce went above industry standards. He is a versatile owner who recognizes the market needs. His recipe is the best in class for Haltom city restaurants. 15 out 10 stars.
The vegetable pho was super flavorful and delicious, the homemade sausage was good, and the palm seed drink was refreshing!
Found this little restaurant by chance and I couldn't be happier that I did! Got some milk tea and a couple of appetizers to go on Saturday. It was so good, we came back for dinner on Sunday. Can't wait to go back. The food is so good and the owners are very helpful, kind and offer fantastic service. Highly recommend.
Really, really good. Got the lad na mee krob (favorite), nam khao (close 2nd), and the fried rice (3rd).
is really delicious
They’re so friendly and taro smoothies it my favorite drink with boba ❤️❤️❤️price so worth it..
I don’t usually rate places but I had to get on here and say omg!!! So so good!!! The best larb I’ve ever tasted!!
Y’all the food was amazing! I went with my grandmother and had an amazing experience! It was my first time having fried bananas and it was heavenly! I will definitely be back!
Food here is really good
Stopped today for lunch, it was my first time here. I ordered the chicken curry fried rice. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered it medium hot and it had a subtle heat. I really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the chicken pad thai. He loved his lunch as well. It was flavorful and had a good spice. I would recommend this place!
Our favorite.
I love the sticky rice and Laos sausage here
Very good food. Just a little overpriced. We ordered the Pad Thai Papaya Salad. Fried Chicken. Sticky Rice and spring roll. Total was rounded up to 50 bucks with no drinks. Same things ordered at My Lan for $35 bucks with drinks.
Stopped in for some lunch with my husband today. Enjoyed one of the best fried rice dishes of my life -- curry fried rice, plus Lao sausage and tomato. Extremely well seasoned, not greasy, and it included some of my favorite veggies like Napa cabbage and Chinese broccoli. My husband enjoyed his steamed dumplings and drunken noodle. The iced jasmine green tea was incredible -- well-balanced, super refreshing and it had a great kick. The fried banana was a great way to end the meal. The texture and depth of flavor was super satisfying.
We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Impeccable service and culinary flair!
Great tasting food!
Great food!!!
Good teas but service way to slow gotta speed it up literally 40mins waiting on drinks third time already waiting time to long.
I just found this place and I’ve already been back multiple times. Great service and even better food. 10/10
It's so delicious. Totally recommend.
Love the food here and staff is amazing! Super friendly!
Honestly a gem to find. If you stumble across this place, their taro milk tea is one of the most authentic one you’ll ever taste, better yet.. the best one I’ve ever had. The food you see in pictures are exactly how they serve it and taste really good. To top it off, they have excellent customer service! Must try.
Wide variety of selection and the host and hostess are very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. So far experience has been great and we look forward to the food.
Our first time there. . And it won't be our last! Small Cafe with either take out or eat in. Tremendous amount of food, so maybe the next time my husband and I will share an order. I had shrimp pad thai, and he had red curry with chicken ( it was very hot. . . The way he likes it!) Both dishes were delicious. Service was good. Very clean and welcoming. (Very clean bathroom, too). Well deserving of 5 stars.
Yummy Thai food. Sausages are supreme
My favorite Lao place in the Fort Worth area. Sticky Rice, Larb, Papaya Salad, selection of fried authentic Lao sausage, chicken, tilapia and other treats. Good Thai food selection too. Highly recommended. I can eat here at least once or twice a week. Support Local Small Busineeses.
I stopped by unexpectedly today after shopping at Nguyen Loi. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Lao place. I got the classic milk tea and it was wonderful, fragrant, and fresh! Will be going back for food.
Pad Thai was among the best. Fried egg rool was chewy; not crisp. Atmosphere was very laid back. But that is the intentions of this small eatery. I visit again. I saw some good choices I'd like to try.
This is the BEST place in Haltom City for your Laos craving!! The husband and wife duo are the sweetest and nicest ppl! I highly recommend this place! Love their vietnames coffee! My Favorite! Congratulations to your opening!❤❤
The whole fish curry was awesome, I tries some Thai food before but this one is wonderful
Will come back again :)
