Traditional fare such as curries & pad Thai served in a tranquil, exposed-brick setting.
Great food, I got the crab fried rice and mango sticky rice. They were super nice and amazing. My only complaint was I wish the rice was spicier, but that's on me because I love face melting spicy. Their spice for most people would be perfect. Highly recommend!
I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner today from the moment I walked into the restaurant I was warmly greeted by Camille who allowed me to sit where I pleased. I was promptly provided water and a menu. I chose the drunken noodles with shrimp and baybeeee I am in love. Fresh ingredients not greasy noodles cooked perfectly I loved everything!
I got the chicken glass noodles (pad won sen) with level 4 spicy and it was so good! The actual noodles were full of flavor and the seasoning was there! They were a bit stingy with the chicken though, it didn’t have a lot of it and they were extremely tiny pieces<\3
It took almost an hour to get our food. People around us that came in after us were getting there food so it may have been a mishap, the service at least for us was not great. The food however was really good. The veggies were fresh, the sauce was light and full of flavor. I had sweet and sour shrimp. Hubby had the pepper beef fried rice. The food is worth the wait.
I like all of the Thai places in Denton, but this one has by FAR the best version of my favorite Thai meal, Kra Pow with ground chicken. Unlike other places, there's never any gristle in the chicken, and the flavors and spice levels are absolutely spot on. They're also always very nice and I like the chill vibe in there. All in all, this might be my favorite Denton spot for Thai. Really glad to see they're open for lunch now!
Very delicious food but menus prices are a bit more higher compared to other Thai restaurants I've been to. Their curry is delicious!! Good portions! There is a kids menu, small selections to pick but glad they had something to offer kids. Prices there was also high for kids meals. The restaurant atmosphere and decor looks very nice! Restaurant was also very clean!
My wife and I love Andaman and order our favorite dishes for pickup quite often! My wife’s favorite is the vegetable Yellow Curry and adds pineapple and my favorite is the Fresh Garlic with broccoli added! We also order the house salads, chive dumplings, and the crispy egg rolls on occasion and would definitely recommend those dishes as well. If you are looking for a great Thai place to order pick up from, I would highly recommend Andaman, it’s always super fast too!

My favorite place to eat with my family on my day off. Quiet, peacefull. I go weekly.
Great food, I got the crab fried rice and mango sticky rice. They were super nice and amazing. My only complaint was I wish the rice was spicier, but that's on me because I love face melting spicy. Their spice for most people would be perfect. Highly recommend!

First time here, visiting from Houston and gotta say this Thai is good! Had the Garlic pepper noodle with beef and I mean it hit the spot!
Best Thai food around! I've been disappointed by most of the others. The Bangkok drunken noodle is great, red curry duck, green curry fried rice, and crispy duck! I can't wait to try more !
I haven't been to this place in years but it's definitely worth a trip to Denton for!! Everything is always so fresh and delicious, and the owner is brilliant. I love the Tom Kha and pad Thai with tofu!
Very cool place!
Authentic Thai cuisine, friendly and smart service, interesting Thai decor and a chill but fun atmosphere.
First time here and definitely coming back soon!
The chicken pad Thai is my favorite! My kids love the teriyaki chicken, one of our favorite places to eat! The staff are always friendly!
This place was recommended to me on the account of vegan options. Great Pad Thai with tofu, though I think I should've ordered it with spicy 1 at least. Staff professional and did a great job!
Absolutely adorable little place that serves delicious Thai food. I'd definitely recommend this place.
We stopped in about 30 minutes before closing on a Friday night a d the service was impeccable.
I'm looking forward to coming back to try higher spice levels.
Amazing food!!
Great food, the food came out really fast, and the overall atmosphere was very chill and nice. Take out food is also very good, but dine in is the best.
Chive dumplings and Thai fried rice are so good! Must try!
Decent Thai food & curry.
A little crowded, but after trying the food I understand why! The garlic beef fried rice and the garlic pepper noodles were great, and the servers were super friendly and quick to answer questions.
Food was delicious. Didn't know this place existed it never showed up on past google searches. It was so good that we had to order 2 more entrees to go
I love Thai food and this was the best panang curry I have ever had!
A small restaurant with tiny setup , very friendly staff and silent environment, with great food at reasonable price.

We were excited to try this place but they are pretty inattentive. Which in normally ok with but I would really like to leave .....
There are 5 other tables and 3 servers and one won't walk away from the computer.
The food is mid at best. Not something I will come back for. The shrimp was over cooked and chewy and dark. Everything was just kinda mid and I would really like to be able to leave ....
Great food, except that its been closed the last three times I have come by
I will not be back.
It's a very basic restaurant. Parking is a nightmare anywhere nearby. I had never eaten Thai before, so I'm giving that 4 because I liked it but have nothing to compare to it! Service was a little slow, but friendly. Will go again! Prices were very reasonable!
Tasty Thai food in a quaint, little dining room just a short walk from the square down East Hickory. Everything is good 😊 but the kra- pow is 💥
Yum! My husband and I have tried an assortment of dishes and have never been disappointed. I love the small quiet atmosphere, perfect for our date nights.

Beef fried rice or fried rice with beef pieces as they say.
At first taste the flavors melt into your mouth you can feel the culture come to life. The eggs cooked and delicious. The vegetables cooked taste is unique in itself and the blend in harmony.
The meat melts in your mouth watery, chewy, and tingling your gums.
The customers are not your generic type of customers they go there and enjoy their meals knowing this location and sure of what they want.
This is not a generic Asian spot for dining. The vibe you feel it and you know that you are in a place where you will be served what you want and you will receive what you need.
The beef fried rice here is its own and you should try it this is not the generic beef fried rice recipe we see at different locations and it has surpassed another location that I won't mention out of respect.
Consistent quality, fair prices!
The servers were amazing!
Service was excellent and waitress was lovely. The pad Thai was good but they wanted to upcharge 2.00 for extra peanuts. Seriously? As it was, there was maybe a tablespoon of peanuts on it. The red curry was big on green beans and short on meat. The flavor was not the best but not the worst. I gave this restaurant a chance due to it being the only Thai open before 5p. With the exception of service, I should have waited for other options.
I absolutely love coming here! Everyone who works here is just the absolute sweetest (and so hardworking!) But the food is just DIVINE! It's my favorite place in town to get a Thai tea. Also as someone with anxiety I really love the more intimate atmosphere. It's hard to find a place where you can hear others talk but this is a perfect spot for great food and conversation! I also really appreciate how affordable it is!
Nice place. The food was good and fresh. The spring rolls were a little oily. The Tom Kha soup was very good. The chicken satay could have been cooked a little longer. I like some char on it. The Panang curry was above average, but the rice was dry. The Ka-Pow duck was good.
The atmosphere is comfortable. The service was very good. Our server was friendly and prompt with the food. My only complaints are that the table was sticky and the price.
The fry rise & pork
Was so salty
Not a good choice!!
Great food. Location near city square is ideal. Only problem, I asked my waitress for ice on a refill. I point to the top of the glass as I like lots of ice. Came back with a half inch of ice. Pet peeve of mine. Iced tea is supposed to have ICE. But good was so good I'll be back regardless of the service.
I really enjoyed my lunch at Andaman. I ordered Pad See Ew. It was delicious. My husband ordered a rice noodle dish but he said it was very bland. The waitress was friendly. We’ll definitely be back to order other dishes.
Get the ginger fried rice, we are in love. The food came out so hot and fresh we had to wait to even eat it! Inside is very well maintained, server and chef very polite and accommodating with diet requests. Only complaint chicken dishes we ordered were a little tough. But otherwise a great experience. We got drunken noodles and the ginger fried rice and chicken satay. Fyi we got a 1 and 3 level spicy, 1 was enjoyable, 3 was tear inducing but still fun.
Delicious, highly recommend the coconut noodles as I have never had anything like it!
Glad we tried this place!
Great service and food.
This place is good! Good service, amazing food, nice atmosphere!
Bland. No taste. Overpriced. Service was lacking on all levels
Won't be back for sure
It took almost an hour to get our food. People around us that came in after us were getting there food so it may have been a mishap, the service at least for us was not great. The food however was really good. The veggies were fresh, the sauce was light and full of flavor. I had sweet and sour shrimp. Hubby had the pepper beef fried rice. The food is worth the wait.
Yowza! Excellent tastes. If you cannot handle heat in your food, this place may not be a good choice but if you’re looking for great tasting Thai food, this is the place to be. Absolutely loved everything that was ordered. The ambiance is pretty chill and relaxed.
Excellent food, atmosphere, and wait staff at Andaman! The waitress, Alisha, was extremely knowledgeable of every dish on the menu and made great recommendations for my husband and me.
Amazing little restaurant right off the square in Denton. 10/10 recommend the yellow curry; my go-to.
Our usual Thai spot in Denton was very busy, so we decided to find another place and found Andaman Thai Restaurant nearby. The restaurant was nice with only a short wait. Our server was prompt and quick to refill our drinks. We got the Chicken Satay and Tom Kha for appetizers and both were very good. The Tom Kha was creamy and very tasty. The Chicken Satay was cooked well.. and the peanut sauce and pickled veggies were very good. We all got a different dish and all were very well prepared. We particularly enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao and the Pad Woo Send. Highly recommend this place!
Took them 10 minutes to seat us with several tables open and no one in front of us, forgot silverware, waiting 15 minutes for drinks, 60 minutes for our food. Tried to be understanding because day of the dead was going on but the waitress was rude as well, clearly overwhelmed. Likely good sometimes I’d guess but our experience was the slowest and rudest I’ve seen in a while.
I hadn't been in quite a while and decided to go again. It's really good still but they extremely skimped the chicken in my red thai chicken curry and I asked for it to be the most spicy but it wasn't very spicy, I still had to add my own spice at home. Hopefully it's a fluke, this used to be my favorite thai restaurant in Denton. The price is definitely more since communism started more aggressively but they were very fast for my take out.
My favorite place in Denton.
Overall, the food was okay. However, the wait time for the food was long. I came in with friends when the restaurant was very slow. Because we were hungry at the time, the long wait time didn't help. Finally, it was somewhat difficult to get the wait staff's attention while we waited for food.
We ordered 3 egg rolls with peanut sauce as an appetizer. Egg rolls were definitely superior to what you get at most places: crisply fried, not at all soggy. They came with a nice, very slightly spiced peanut sauce. For our entree both my wife and I order the mango tilapia, which contained lightly breaded, fried tilapia fillets, with mango and onions on top serves with a side of rice. Presentation was excellent and so was taste. For dessert we split a cup of coconut custard, which was just right, not too sweet, but not bland either. In addition to the above, we received friendly and helpful service from Alicia. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent food. I got the massaman curry which was delicious. My wife has been looking for a good Pad Thai for months and we found one here!
The food was great. We had the chive dumplings and the garlic pork as appetizers, fried rice, roasted duck, pad Thai, tilapia for our meals. All great. With tip, appetizers and dessert we spend almost $30 per person.
This is a small, cozy restaurant with great service and delicious food.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant. The Pad Thai is great, but the curries and Tom Kha soup are also great. They have fried tofu for vegetarians.
Definitely save room for dessert 🍨, amazing!
food is great. menu lacks some thai dishes i love but do a great job at the one's they do offer.
Great spot!!
No wait to be seated. Simple menu options. Very tasty food!! Vegan options available. Knowledgeable waitress, suggested a good alternative for an appetizer. Free parking available. On my list for when next I visit Denton.
One of my favorite place in Denton. Sometimes order lunch. Always delicious. Never gets old.
อาหารราคาดีค่ะ ราคาไม่แรงจนเกินไป พอหายอยากอาหารไทยไปได้ค่ะ
Literally the best Thai food ever. I recommend the red curry fried rice. Literally it’s like god kisses your food before you eat it, and it’s literally unfair.
Drive 30 minutes to dine here ,upon entering was asked if we were on the waiting list.. was informed that by the time we were seated it would be close to closing time ....an hour away. 3 open tables
Bad business folks the food here is phenomenal, this is the first poor experience here... I hope it does not continue
I work in Denton every few months and make it a point to stop by Andaman. It's the best Thai food I've ever had and the service is always great and consistent. I highly recommend stopping in and trying one of their dishes.
The food is incredible, even for my vegan diet it is easy to accommodate for me. The only problem is their unstable hours that the owner frequently changes, and leaves notes on the door stating when they’ll be back.
Just ordered take out tonight. I’m a frequent customer. They forgot 2 orders of rice, a cardinal sin. And the portions on the entrees are very skimpy. Check your to go orders and make sure it’s accurate.
Their red curry with tofu is absolutely AMAZING.
Delicious food and great service. 💕
Good taste and fresh items and good hospitality
quite possibly the best Thai restaurant I have ever eaten at in Denton much less the rest of the United States Corey one of the waiters here his service skills are outstanding the Ker Pow Duck is tremendous the Thai iced tea is awesome everything here is perfect!!!
It used to be good 😑
Such a lovely place!! Server was super sweet and informative, great hospitality, everything was very fast. Definitely coming back again.
My girls love this place. Service is always good, sometimes amazing. Food is very consistently good. We will be back.
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in town! All of the food is absolutely full of flavor and amazing! However my favorite dish of all time here is their Hot Pot Seafood! It’s like a soup with red curry tons of different types of delicious seafood like shrimp, scallops, and crab with vegetables in it also! This dish is healthy, flavorful and amazing! The decor and atmosphere is really fun also! I highly recommend this restaurant!
...listen here ....great....i love Thai food....had it everywhere...including Thailand......this place is legit...the crab rice is awesome.....
Staff was friendly and wait time was not excessive, but the food was disappointing.
The Drunken Noodles consisted of large thick rectangles of doughy undercooked noodles and overall was on the bland side. However, the fresh, still crisp veggies made up for it a little.
The Tom Ka was a major disappointment for me. In my experience, the Tom Ka soup has always come with a side of rice and stocked heavily with whioe or halved mushrooms, protein etc., making it more like a meal. What I was served was soup with 1.5 tiny quarters of mushroom and about 3 slivers of flavorless chicken breast. It was edible for sure, but there was nothing that stood out to me as delicious.
Luke was very courteous and knowledgeable on his service and menu items. This was the best yellow curry I’ve had in my life. I’ve had curry in California and other parts of Texas. This is pinnacle!
The food did not taste good.
Great food and great service!😍
Went on a Sunday afternoon and had the greasy platter with a side of crab shells and fried rice. The fried shrimp dumplings were also a side course to the grease. I then moved on and grabbed a grease soaked egg role. The fried tofu was spongy and also greasy. How is it possible to mess up fried tofu. I then started to realize that everything I ordered was a side dish to the main course of Grease. Every item tasted like grease. I mean I like my fair share of grease, but this was a new level of grease. I am not a healthy person. I engulf vast amounts a food daily of extremely mixed variety. I am not picky and can always find something that’s good on a menu. But this place.........
Andamans Grease Palace maybe a more appropriate name for this place. Truly sad. I love me some Thai food on a Sunday afternoon but alas not this Sunday.
Some of the best food I’ve ever had. Tons of vegan and vegetarian options, and excellent service.
One of our favorite places because it’s always so fresh and so delicious. Their menu is big - but our favorites are the red curry, pad kee mao, and the Thai coconut noodle. They can customize any spice level, which makes it great for everyone. The service is quick and efficient. The take out is also easy and it’s great to have a delicious meal like this at home too! It’s all around a great place!
Delicious. There were 4 of us at dinner tonight and all our meals were perfect. We love the good food and quiet atmosphere!!
Good place to eat Thai food.
One of the best Thai restaurants around.
Delicious Chicken Panang Curry with rice😋
Love this place. Been going there for years. Always amazing food. Great service cozy atmosphere
Great food with great prices. Try the meatballs. You won't be disappointed.
Nice place, really good food. Definitely a jewel in Denton. Wherever you live, make the drive.
Delicious! Looking forward to coming back!
The food was very good Service was good people were friendly but I was still a little hungry after I finished portions could be just a little larger
So Yummy! Very vegan friendly! Super sweet server and staff! Will be back!!!
My all-time favorite Thai place, almost any item can be made vegan !
Their food is legit! Mmm so tasty. Great service too.
Great food!
Oh mann this place is amazing first time eating their food i got pork dumplings (didnt last long ate them with that amazing sauce as soon as i got home) sweet chili w/chicken ( this had such a great flavor my mouth was very happy and tummy too ill definitely be back to try other plates. The guys taking my order were really nice as well and let me know my plate wasnt ganna be sweet but ill always try everything once!
5 of 5 stars for flavor. The Sweet Chili stir fry and Sweet and Sour stir fry are great! The dumplings are fantastic as well!! Will definitely be back to try more!
Food and service was great!
Have you ever had authentic Thai coconut curry? Well, let me tell you about the amazing restaurant, Andaman Thai, and the unforgettable dinner I had there a year ago featuring Green Coconut Curry, Fresh Spring Rolls, and Thai Coffee because after I do, I guarantee this restaurant will be on your must-dine-list.
When the weather gets cold and windy up in Denton, Texas, don’t you just want to find a warm cozy spot to rest and have an even warmer bowl of delicious soup in front of you to help replenish your energy? I know I do, and that’s exactly what Andaman Thai delivered during my dining experience. From the traditionally adorned walls to the relaxing Thai instrumental music gently playing in the backgrounds to the gentle welcome from the hostess, this restaurant brought forward an appreciation for guest’s hospitality that I have not witnessed in other restaurants (even some fine-dining institutions).
I ordered the Green Coconut Curry, the Fresh Spring Rolls (an appetizer), and the waitress-recommended Thai Iced Coffee. While I waited for my order I observed the other dining parties around me. Their tables looked lively- families conversing with smiles being traded over gorgeously presented entrees. Honestly, my mouth could not contain its excitement, for I’m afraid I was beginning to salivate as I thought about the food I had just ordered. I was famished, and looking forward to being drowned in amazing flavors.
First, the Thai Iced Coffee was served along with the Fresh Spring Rolls. The rolls had this jardiniere look about them, and the tender, translucent rice wrapper was just begging me to take a massive bite out of it. This appetizer was served with a complimentary sweet garlic sauce which I poured over the rolls, watching the sauce run across the rice wrapper and set gently their edges. And the taste, it was as refreshing as the first sip of water after finishing a lap on the running track, but also savory and sweet because of the sweet garlic sauce. It was in my opinion, the best Fresh Roll I have encountered to date. The Thai Iced Coffee was equally delightful, and quite pleasing on the pallet- especially if eaten in tandem with the Fresh Spring Roll.
The Green Coconut Curry arrived just a few minutes after the Rolls did, almost in time with my last bite! The vegetables looked enticing, and the curry held this pastel green color with specs of fresh Thai chili peppers surfacing to meet my joyful gaze. The server also brought out a well-sized bowl of brown rice (to my specification as one could choose between white rice or brown rice to accompany the entree) at no extra cost. The traditional way of eating this dish, as I was told by the server, was to take a spoonful of rice and dip it into the curry- attempting to grab hold onto some of the vegetables, sauce, and meat as one brought the spoon out of the glowing curry. I did just that, and boy was I surprised. A punch of savory and spicy flavors coated my mouth while my tastebuds hurried to catch up to my appetite. I was as consumed by that bowl of curry as it was by me- fairly quickly. My need for warmth was met, and I could not have been any happier.
That experience as a whole holds a special place in my heart, as it was the catalyst to my growing obsession with finding new curry flavors and culturally different foods that can inspire the feelings of joy and comfort that Andaman Thai was able to deliver for me.
Tonight I tried the chicken fried rice and it was delish. Have plenty of flavor chicken and was spicy just how I like it. There spring rolls are so crispy and fresh, the sweet sauce is perfect pairing. The staff is very nice and seem appreciative to their business.
They have a delicious pad Thai!
I was excited to eat here for the first time and ordered the Thai coconut noodle which the menu mentioned was a spicy dish, but it just tasted like chicken alfredo with bean sprouts. Pretty bummed.
Love this restaurant. The food is fresh and wonderful. My new favorite Thai food in Denton. Just moved here. Will visit again soon.
Great food amazing services! 100% recommend, and get some tea:)
Great food
The Chicken Pad Kra Pow was very good and the Chicken Tom Kha Gai was pretty good, just needed more of the ingredients than broth.
PLEASE READ‼
On Sunday March 8th, i ordered a pad Thai, fried rice, and one Thai tea. I was charged for two teas. Before giving my card back to the employee i specifically asked her "are you going to charge my card again or just refund me for the difference?" She said "no i won't charge again" and then she did charge me. I ended up getting charged $67 for a $31 meal. The refund i was supposed to get never came. I had to call once both charges went from pending to actually charged on Thursday. The owner said that he was not informed that he was supposed to void one of them so he didn't. He ended up having to write me a check for both charges ( per my request ) and then went on to explain that they didn't want me to come back to the restaurant again. So sad, i loved eating here, and due to their poor customer service, i am no longer able to eat there.
Fantastic! I asked for a gluten free menu and the server knew the menu well and said they can make just about everything GF. I also mentioned I do intermittent fasting so I only eat once per day (so I need a big meal), and that I am allergic to peanuts (I know, I'm ridiculous). I ended up with red curry chicken and a dessert of poached bananas in coconut cream. Loved every bite and can't wait to go back.
Service was great. The food was not as spicy as I was expecting.
Combination fried rice with only chicken..
The worst place in Denton a total waste..
We were doing a progressive dinner night and chose this place for entrees. The food was delicious and service excellent. It was so good in fact that we didn’t want to leave for dessert and had the black rice pudding and sticky rice with mango. It didn’t disappoint. The yellow curry with chicken and basil Thai with chicken were fabulous. We will be back.
Good food
Best Thai food I have had in a very long time. Highly reccomend trying it out.
Enjoyable food. Reasonably priced. REALLY liked the iced tea.
Very poor customer service with rude waiter.
I'm not sure how this place doesn't have a 5 star rating. The food here was incredible and authentic. And the ambiance was fun and almost traditional in Thai style.
The menu was very diverse. And the lunch specials had a good price. I had the Panang Pork and a Thai coffee. The flavors were on point and good portions. Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu.
Excellent, fresh and authentic Thai food
Amazing food! Really good flavor. (I tried the Masaman curry as it's my favorite thai dish and this restaurant delivered the goods)
