"The Best Authentic Thai Food, Noodle Soup & Vegetarian Restaurant, and Bar Amazing is a word our customers use when dining with us you will too.Yummy Thai brings the taste of legitimate Thai Food to Texas. Yummy Thai is as the name clearly states, the most authentically delicious Thai food you will ever taste."
My wife and I had a 12-hour layover in Dallas and stayed at the candlewood Hotel. We were hungry and had just gotten back from a Costa Rican trip. We decided we wanted some Asian food. Phó it is. We landed at 7 pm and got to our hotel at 7:50 pm. Picked this restaurant because they were open until 10 pm so we could sit down and enjoy our meal. First things first, we ordered apps. Deep fried tofu and deep-fried pork belly. Main course we're chicken pad thai, beef phó, and chicken basil fried rice. The deep-fried tofu was breaded so the tofu was ok but the dipping sauce was good . Pork belly was bland no seasoning but good with the tofu dipping sauce. Chicken pad Thai was ok. The sauce they used was on the sweeter side. Phó was bland. Can't smell the star anise or the cloves. Chicken Thai basil fried rice was also bland, greasy, and had bell peppers in it. Nothing wrong with bell peppers but it just surprised me. Over food was a 3/5. Service was good. Cozy little place.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT… THEY HAVE DEAD COCKROACHES IN THEIR FOOD. They DO NOT have cleanliness.. They DO NOT follow any health regulations. I have ordered pad thai yesterday and i found a dead Cockroach in the food. When reach out to the restaurant all they said was sorry. The lady on the phone is unable to reply properly to me and manager was not available to talk and i did not even got any refund.
Great food but terrible service .
I’ve been a regular visitor and absolutely love their curries and fried rice. Went there for lunch yesterday. The place was jam packed but we found a seat. We waited 10 minutes for the menu and finally I went to the counter and picked the menu myself. Once ordered, the food came but no cutlery. Had to remind the waiter 3 times before he could get us one. Another 3 reminders to get us a printed receipt. A classic case of how a great product can be spoilt by poor service. Hope the management addressed this soon.
I used to order from this place before and never had any issues but today when I ordered on Uber eats, I noticed the quantity and quality of the food was really bad. The Pad Prik chicken had more vegetables and less chicken. The chicken was overcooked and did not taste well. We also ordered the pad ped catfish, but unfortunately that also had more vegetables and less of the catfish. Very disappointed with the quantity and quality.
Went over with colleagues for lunch. They do not take reservations for lunch so had to wait a while to get seated as it was completely packed. Once seated we were served with complimentary veg Tom yum soup. All of us had lunch specials and it was pretty good. The veggie springs rolls were quite good. My fav from Thai place would be the papaya salad, chicken wings and the Thai fried rice. The service staff were really nice and we were in and out in an hour.
Good service, nice environment. The food was solid but unspectacular. We had the crispy pork belly, fried tofu, green curry fried rice with tofu, orange chicken, crab fried rice, and plain chicken soup.
The appetizers were both tasty, though the pork belly was perhaps a touch dry. The crab wasn't very noticeable in the fried rice. The orange chicken was well sauced but a bit soggy. The green chicken curry was flavored well, though I might have wished it tasted more of curry. The tofu was very well cooked.
Great food but terrible service .

Great food and service
Amazing food, great prices, and satisfactory service make Yummy Thai an easy place to become addicted too. If you’re on the fence about trying them, don’t be! You won’t be disappointed at their offerings.
Food is average and quite salty. Pho tastes MSG immediately. We ordered Pho, Drunken Noodle, ASN Crab fried rice. Both none soup dishes are quite salty.
Although it was very busy due to it being lunch hour, the staff was on top of everything! My food was hot and delicious! I recommended it to a few of my friends to try
Did not greet my partner and I when we came in, took forever to take our order. My partner got the chicken pad thai and initially said it had a funky smell. Ate the chicken and said it tasted old. An hour later he threw up the food. Do not recommend. I don’t know if it’s a hit or miss with them but I had an unpleasant experience.

The food was delicious and the service was good, but the whole family ended up sick after eating here. Not worth the money or what I assume was food poisoning. Wish I could get my money back.
This is my in my top 3 Thai food places in DFW. Food is great, the chicken curry, pad kee mow and pad Thai were really good.
Decent Thai food, wouldn't say it was the 'best' in Coppell.
I got the basil fried rice with tofu here . The food taste good, but it is way too oily. The server wasn't very friendly either. She came up to me with a receipt and card machine before I was even finished eating and just stood there until I gave here my card. First and last time I eat here.

Food was ok but the service was not the best but is k maybe cause it was only one person running the front. I give them another try
Found a roach in my food. Was told they were going to call me back and never did. This is nasty and unacceptable! I’ve eaten here before but never again!!

The food has lost its flavor over the last few visits. To make matters worse, a large cockroach crawled across our table, and the staff seemed unfazed as one of the employees tried to kill it. No one asked about our food or offered any apology. We left without taking anything to go, completely put off by the experience. It was the worst I've ever had at a restaurant
El pho espectacular
Love the yummy rama garden chicken or beef.
This was my first time here, I waited over 8 minutes to get any interaction from the staff and to only get asked to move from the table I had been waiting at, not once but twice.
I won’t come back…
Good food, nice staff, decent ambience and good food portions. Lives up to it's name yummy:)
The best location is Flower Mound. Communication sub par at location in Coppell. Asked for a Tom yum Soup and got the creamy one. When asked for replacement they wanted to know if I wanted to pay for the mistake and take it home. Second, we eat at the flower mound location quite often and have point Be sure to pay at the front and not allow them to come to your table to pay your bill or you won't get point
Good food,
I had Yummy Thai for the first time and ordered their chicken rice soup and it is sooooo yummy!! Can’t wait to try more stuff!
Thai fried rice...yum
The food was definitely worth it as far as taste 👅…. Will continue to try different items on menu but wasn’t too excited about the three dollar price difference to add shrimp to my meal and was literally given THREE shrimp added to my meal… most likely I will not add shrimp again but I cannot deny the taste…..
If I could give a zero, I would. Customer service is a F at best.
I will update my review when I am not do furious.
We arrived to the restaurant at around 3:30pm on a Sunday Sunny evening and were damnn hungry.
The seats were taken by the staff to rest and no one came to take the order.
Felt weird and unhappy.
Pathetic experience.
We arrived at 9pm, ordered and it took a few minutes to get our food. We had 2 more people planning to join up at 9:40. I go up to the counter. They are closed. Why say open until 10 if you close at 9:40? Thats false advertising!! The food was only mid. They were out of beef. How can you be a thai restaurant and be out of beef. Cmon. We wont be back here.
I do not live far from this restaurant. Recently, I made a to go order for Pad Thai with soft tofu and shrimp. I paid $3 additional for the shrimp, about $16 total for the Pad Thai...and received 3 shrimp...sooooo...$1/shrimp...waste of money.
Tried Thai food after a long time and happened to get some from here. It was not bad, actually. I tried the pad Thai and the fried rice. The fried rice was much better, but I forgot to take pictures.
After 14 years of searching, I have my favorite Thai restaurant in DFW. Fantastic food, terrific service. Great options for Keto folks. You can get the dishes without spicy. And, the Drunken Noodles are fantastic. Spicy level 4 was great!!!!
This place is very good ! I randomly stopped by because of the Sign outside .
Portions are huge and food is delicious!!
Tasty food and good portion size. Their service and delivery is great. Only negative was they were not able to manage when we went as a bigger grp.
The food is absolutely delicious! I've had the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Pad Se Eww, Thai Fried Rice, and more. The food is authentic, fresh, filling and the prices are reasonable for this type of food. Go for dinner they are super crowded during the week for lunch, but I understand why....IT's DELICIOUS!
We have been ordering from Yummy Thai for the past year & love their Papaya Salad but as of late, the portions are getting so small. We ordered a papaya salad to go this evening WITH shrimp ($2 up charge) and got two measly small shrimps and 1/4 box of papaya salad. It was so disappointing. We called and asked to speak to a manager but no one was available. We explained to the person over the phone that we order from there at least once a week, but the portion size today was just too small & unacceptable. His legit response, I kid you not, was “what do you want me to do?”
We asked just to give us some more papaya salad which he said he couldn’t, and we understand it’s probably out of his control. But for a customer to politely voice their concerns & you respond with “what do you want me to do” is just rude.
We think the food tastes great, which is why we order nearly every week but the portion size is just ridiculously tiny now, especially for a $15 papaya salad. We just feel like we are being ripped off now. Wish they would do better.
Great green curry!
Fairly good food and service. Large quantities. Enjoyed the visit. Will go again.
Consistently: excellent service, extremely fast, generous portions, well prepared, very reasonable prices. What more could you ask for! I always look forward to eating here when I stay at the Tru.
The food is really good especially the curries and the portions are very generous!
Food is good, would recommend the pineapple fried rice. The pad thai has slightly too much peanut and is on the runny side. Service and food waiting time were on the slow side despite a fairly empty restaurant.
Lunch special
Soup
Crab Rangoon
Red curry with pork
Black rice with mango
All delicious and expertly created
Food arrive fast and hot
Veg Thai basil fried rices and pineapple fried rice was very tasty. We have tried Drunken noodles before which is equally good. Must try if you are craving for thai food in the area.
Service was trash the waiter kept tryna rush us until I checked him. But the food is always good
Ended up here by accident and ended up with the most delicious Thai food ever
Fantastic food with gigantic portions! Service is always friendly.
Great food selection. Very tasty. Service was timely. Plenty of Parking available. Felt a bit crowded. Especially during lunch time.
I was told to sit anywhere I’d like, as a brand new person to the area was super excited about a Thai restaurant. I was dining alone as I’m on a business trip and was immediately told “sit where you like,” chose a seat and was asked to move to a spot where a bunch of big families were. I respectfully declined to eat as this is already not a good start for good service. I didn’t chose a huge table, overall not a good start for a first time customer.
Good restaurant addition to the ever-growing Coppell market. The lunch specials aren't too shabby at $12, getting you a fair-sized entree and one of three appetizers. My Pad Woon Sen was full of flavor, with fresh veggies popping out in every bite. I went back for the Green Curry, and at a level 3 it was plenty of heat, without masking the coconut milk and veggies. Definitely give them a try if you want to break the mold of sandwiches and burgers that have flooded the area.
Amazing panang curry and spring roll were just what I needed after a rough day of travel and a night at DFW. Two thumbs all the way up!!
I did not eat anything there I was waiting to be seated but the waiter never recognized me waiting for to get seated but never did.three different groups of customers come right after me and they've been seated and served why im still wating to be seated. I just woke out after 15 minutes waiting.
The food is good and portions are large. It is always flavorful but I just don’t understand how they allow the employees to lay around in the seating area which is supposed to be for customers. Sometimes there are multiple employees taking up customer seating areas all over the restaurant and in the entrance bench. They lay on the benches and watch videos on their phones for a long time. That says alot of negative things about the restaurant unfortunately. Also depending on the server they charge a service fee even if you are not a large group and they do not let you know about it.
Very generous portions
Great atmosphere, food is average thai…
The Service seems to be very, inexperienced.
The hostess that sat me has very minimal experience. And when paying my bill, hostess also waitress.. stood over me and scrolled to the 25% tip choice…👀. So i had to go ahead and scroll to the 18 percent and keep it REAL . Definitely a 3 star experience..
Great meal, we enjoyed it
Good food. I waited 10 mins for the food to arrive after appetizer. Everyone after me received their orders. When I asked the girl who served she argues that she wanted to do the appetizer first and then bring others later. I was like okay… then why would you ask if I was ready for my bill just now ?! Never received the cutlery then I had to go and ask for it at the cash counter. Everyone forgets, simple sorry rather than arguing would have done good.
Typically I order the chicke panang curry for dinner, which is enough for me to get like 2-3 meals out of for around $15.
Today I was running late at work and picked up lunch from here and decided to get the seafood panang lunch special, but it cost me the same price as the dinner, but included 2 crab ragoons. And was $20 because the seafood was an extra $7.
Not gonna lie I’ll never get lunch there again even though it’s right down the street, I got 1/2 or 1/3 the amount of curry for the same price in at dinner in lieu of getting 2 ragoons. In addition I paid $7 for seafood and got 1 shrimp, 2 mussels. And 2 inch long pieces of calamari or something rubbery.
Do yourself a favor and just get the dinner size. 😕
Very good…classic Thai food. Spice was good servings were huge.
Great food. Great service. Love it there!!
Best Thai food in Irving
Excellent food, great service. They brought my appetizer out after my food, which was kind of weird. But overall a great experience!
Alright, so this place was just an unexpected hidden gem that we stumbled across and i loved everything here!
First of all, the people are so nice! they are always smiling and helpful.
And now the food - everything we tried were perfect! We started with the Vietnamese Spring Rolls which were really delicious. The peanut sauce was sooooo good!
Then we moved to Seafood In Coconut Shell which was magnificent! All the seafood was cooked to perfection and then the sauce was perfection - add that everything is cooked in a coconut which i loved.
Finally, the dessert was Black Rice With Mango and man that was the perfect way to end the meal. It was perfectly balanced and sweet. Just the perfect way to balance out the curry!
Will definitely be back here whenever i visit again!
Great place to find some Indo-Thai options. We were a group of 20 friends and all of us enjoyed it.
Delicious! The facility is clean and new, the food was perfection. I am a Yummy Thai lover!
Food is terrible! Order Thai Pad with chicken. It was hardly any chicken. And they don’t ask whether you need rice or noodles. So it’s what they feel giving you!!! Not worth the money. Would never go back.
Okay Thai. It was close to our stay. Our waitress has a hard time with communicating, but above all, it was doable. Good location.
It was bugs inside the crushed red pepper. After showing the waiter she just moved the crushed red pepper to another table. I checked a few move of the peppers and it was bugs in all of them. I told her she need to take the peppers off the table and she said they would at the end of the day. Asked to speak with a manager but surprisingly he wasn’t available to talk.
generous portions, great food
I come here about once a week for lunch and it is a really solid Thai place. I get the standard Thai staples Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodles and all of them are excellent. The Fried Rice also is really good. Big portions - even the "side" of Fried Rice is pretty big! I race Ironmans so I eat a lot and even I think this place gives me plenty to eat.
It's always busy around lunch time so be patient if its busy, the staff is always working hard to make sure everyone gets the correct order on time.
The food is great, I know them from the Irving and Frisco location and this new place tastes better than the others. I would love if they give the option to change from white rice to brown rice, there is no option, only ordering an extra side, but $4 for a side of rice is too expensive. The atmosphere could improve, but overall price and food portions are great.
Food here is delicious and lots of choices too. I order spring rolls with no vermicelli. I've also had the tom yum soup with soft tofu. Can't wait to try new things!
Great place for lunch! Good pricing for the quantity of food you get. I’ll be back for sure!
The vegetables were served in good quantity however they were almost RAW. Raw vegetables were served in all the entrees we ordered, I hence rate the food quality as very very POOR.
I complainted to the staff, called them and sliced the vegetables to show it was raw. but nothing was done. They did not offer to redo the order and dared to also charged me 20% gratuity.
I was really looking forward to trying out Yummy Thai. I decided to go for the pad Thai and I made sure to ask the server if it was sweet. She seemed almost puzzled by the question and assured me it wasn't sweet at all.
But when the plate of pad Thai arrived, it was like a slap in the face. The sweetness hit me right away, and the noodles were sticking together like crazy. It was a far cry from what I expected. I couldn't believe that the server had been so off the mark with her description.
Honestly, it's frustrating when you're promised one thing and you get the complete opposite. The experience left me craving the real balance of flavors that good pad Thai should have. I hate to say it, but this dish was a major letdown. I'm giving it just one out of five stars. Yummy Thai really needs to up their game if they want to do justice to Thai cuisine.
I started with a water which was promptly brought to me. For lunch, I chose to do the special and got 2 crab Rangoons and beef pad Thai. The server asked how spicy, to which I replied, "What is the scale you use here" She replied "0-5" I responded with 3, as I had never been to this location but I love spicy foods. She then exclaimed, "Zero!" I confronted her and asked why she said that because I asked for 3. She told me, "Zero, you will be okay," and then walked away.
The food I was served was of good quality, but it was missing one thing, SPICE! This experience was not a good one and left me feeling judged by how I look (White complexion).
Good food and environment, just train your people to not judge others.
Waiting for about 45 minutes
Very good food. No complaints other than lack of servers. Service is a little slow but food worth the wait.
Pad Thai was not as expected
Tom yum soup and dumplings were okay
Fried rice was good
Large portions, good ambience, good services. Food is good but not great.
The service was amazing and everyone was so nice and the food came out very fast we ordered 3 kids meals and we were very shocked at how large the meal was and it was amazing the spice was so good overall The drunken noodles were so good and one of the best beef phos we have had. 1000/10
Food was okay, service was poor
I am a regular to this dining restaurant and today my order had tomatoes in the curry, it was different but still good just was thrown off by the inconsistent vegetable choices for the dish.
Yummy green curry w chicken!
Good food, poor service, they automatically add a service charge of 20% to the bill for parties of 4 people or more, and then present the options to pay a tip starting at 20% using the mobile payment device! You will not know about the 20% service charge unless you look at the printed bill.
The food is good. Portion sizes are medium sized. Appetizers are overpriced. Service is not great. Ex: I had to repeatedly ask for an extra bag (because their food has leaked twice before) and the employee wouldn't help me put the food into the extra bag even though I was visibly struggling (large oddly shaped order).
Yummy Thai is definitely a well-deserved name for this restaurant. The food was better than Yummy. It was award winning Authentic Thai food. Try the Pad Wun Sen! It was so delicious I had to discipline myself to put the fork down when full. I enjoyed my leftovers the same.
When the soup is the best aspect of a very broad range of food ordered ... only the friendly service at this first attempt eatery got this over-priced 'swing and a miss' back to 3 stars overall.
#OneAndDone!
We dined in on a weekday with 10 friends. Had a lovely dinner. Portions are truly generous! I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai. Delicious and very fresh. Also tried shrimp fried rice that was amazingly delicious!
We all had a lovely time. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Will go there again and again!
No complaints on food. On 27th May, I noticed that an employee used the washroom, flushed the toilet and then walked right out without washing hands. He didn’t even care to wet his hands let alone use the soap. I came out and informed another employee about this incident and left.
Avoid the place if you’re going after 9pm.
The service at this place is pretty low if you get there after 9pm. The hosts keep coming and reminding that they are closing even before serving the food. They didn’t care about the service and just want the people to leave.
I don’t understand why do they allow to people in if they have to close. One of the hosts even asked to pay right after the food was served and we didn’t even start eating. She even offered carryout box stating we are closing shortly.
been to pretty much every thai place in the area and this one never misses. it’s a pretty quiet place so there’s always a nice booth ready and friendly attentive service
mid thai and not cheap, 20% service charge included. Get 2 spice minimum 1 is just totally bland. Its not bad but nothing great either
Food was ok not the best Thai food I've ever had. They also automatically add tip to the bill. We were charged 20%. The boat fried rice had a terrible smell. The boiled egg smelt and tasted spolit.
The pad see ew was not good. Very runny and lacked flavor
Food is mediocre and the service is sub par at best. The reason I’m knocking off stars is bc the owner is very rude. I wasn’t exactly amazed by my service so I didn’t want to tip. When I clicked no tip the owner cancelled the transaction and tried to force me to leave a tip. Mind you they didn’t once come to check on us or refill our waters. When I refused to give a tip and said it isn’t something required it’s something earned she got mad and said I can’t come back. Mind you they also increased prices to combat inflation but still had the audacity to force someone to tip when they were unsatisfied. Overall the owner is very rude and doesn’t know how to run her business.
Portion size was good, price was average but the food was very bland.
Here the food we ordered noodles soup with chicken fish cakes and chicken satay fish cakes were not that great.
Good food. Ask for vegan modifications. Their spice level seems on the low side to me. If you like it spicy, go up a level.
Wow, large portions and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great.
The prices are to high $$$
Chicken Pho was super tasty and amazing! Customer service is not good, servers aren’t great only because they have their AirPods in and can’t hear you when you’re trying to order!
Delicious - first time here and ordered chicken larb and panang curry. Portions were big (especially the curry). The restaurant is very clean, and the staff was very nice.
I recently visited this place and unfortunately, my experience was not great. While the service was friendly and attentive, the food left a lot to be desired.
I ordered the drunken noodles, a popular Thai dish that I was excited to try. However, when the dish arrived, I was disappointed to find that the texture and taste of the noodles were off. They were overcooked and mushy, and lacked the bold and spicy flavors that I was expecting. The vegetables in the dish also seemed undercooked and lacked flavor.
Overall, I was disappointed with the food at this place. While the service was good, the quality of the food did not meet my expectations. I hope that the restaurant can improve the preparation and seasoning of their dishes in the future.
