Local favorite Thai Cuisine
We had lunch here. Service and ambiance was good. However, the food was just ok, not remarkable.
Out of the three dishes, we liked the drunken noodle dish the best. It was decent.
Beef curry had really supple meat, but the spices weren’t working together.
Finally the street fried rice, even though we ordered the beef for protein, the flavor of eggs was drowning out everything else.
Overall, a solid 3 out of 5.
One of the best Thai restaurants around.
Good selection of dishes and includes pictures of dishes on the menu. Makes it easier for first time customers.
Quality and quantity of the menu items are amazing. No questions about that.
Service is polite and had a table ready quickly.
Overall clean and quick service restaurant.
They do get a lot of delivery orders too but that doesn’t make dine orders slow or under par.
Must visit if you wanna taste some good Thai foodz
Prices are reasonable.
Plenty of parking around and easy to find one.
Stopped by for lunch today 02/12 and the waitress had the most hostile attitude, which made the experience very unpleasant, which prompted me to update the review. Would be wonderful if the staff was trained a bit better.
Incredible Thai spot! The food is packed with authentic flavors.
This place is not as great as their other location on Anderson! But definitely khao soi is a must try!! Sizzling entrees were not sizzling or hot, we were not asked for spice level! The sizzling chicken with peppers tasted sweet and not spicy at all. Khao soi was pretty good! Wings were very average
In my experience is one of the best Thai foods I've had in Austin. The staff was great. Everyone was welcoming, if you coming you must have tried the Thai Coco Queso with artichoke, it's insane and the Thai Gyosas are so good, my favorite plate is the Pad Prik Gang with pork or chicken, I recommend 100%
I’m gluten free and can’t eat most things on their menu, but am happy with the few options I can eat there. I’ve definitely had better Thai food, but I don’t really have any complaints.

Incredible Thai spot! The food is packed with authentic flavors.
Madam Mam's is THE BEST Thai restaurant in Texas - way ahead of any 2nd place restaurant. YUM!
Food good but don’t go if you have any place to be after during busy hours.
First time there. Great options.
One of my go to restaurants! Madam Mam's has only ever met or exceeded my expectations!
The menu has a plethora of both authentic Thai cuisine and more Americanized takes on dishes! All of it worth trying and all incredibly delicious. My favorites are the Amazing Thailand Wings, Pad Ga-Prao, Eastern Pad Thai, Street Pad Thai/Bankrupt Noodles, and Guay Teaw Tom Yum. They all have an incredible balance of flavors come in generous portions, and the spicy food is actually spicy!
At the South Brodie Ln. location there is a waitress named Su, and she is phenomenal! She is the sweetest, most helpful, upbeat, and personable waitress in all of Austin! Su has learned our names, knows our orders, and is always a joy to catch up with while we're there! I would eat at any restaurant where Su works, just to have her as my waitress! She is second to none!
The atmosphere is also delightful! Similar to many Thai restaurants it has a relaxing and beautiful interior style, but Madam Mam's takes it even further. The Brodie location has all these unique bird cages adoring the ceiling, large stone/brick columns, cultural masks with info plaks, and let me tell you the playlist they've got going is awesome! Jazz fusion, spa, electronica, and all types of perfectly fitting music set the best mood. I always have Shazam ready on my phone for the next great track.
My only gripe is the to-go containers. They use styrofoam and plastic which leads to so much needless waste. Please please switch to something more sustainable. I would order additional meals to-go each time if y'all used something more sustainable.
I could keep gushing about Madam Mam's but I will simply keep enjoying it and urge others to give it a try.
One of the best Thai restaurant in town. You will not regret.
I got the pad thai with tofu, which i have gotten in the past but seriously it was hard to eat. Probably the worst pad thai ive had sadly. really nice environment and people however but it seems the recipe has changed/ it was a bad batch, but truly not good to me.
I order from here once a week it feels like. They've got a great system going on for to-go orders! Dined a couple of times and the service is also good.
Love Madam Mam's! My wife always orders Tom Kha which is her favorite. Last time we ordered to go however, it came on a smaller container that was half the portion we usually get..
P47 is my favorite dish here!! Love that curry!!
Not bad but not great, Sap’s is considerably better
Good food but the ordering and pickup process is very unreliable. At peak times be prepared to wait 45-60 mins for your pickup order.
Placed an order online. Was told it would be 30 minutes. Got here when it was supposed to be ready. 30 minutes later (an hour after ordering) still waiting. Cancelled the order and went to P Terrys.
I ordered the P4 Keow Wan Curry & it gave me food poisoning. Be careful.
Very fine Thai food . We had toasted brussel sprouts appetizer. It was made with a lightly sweet and savory sauce - wonderful. Braised beef was tender and flavorful, Pineapple fried rice with chicken, shrimp, and lots of vegetables. It's a meal in itself. Spicy Tom Kha Cocoanut Soup with chicken was light and flavorful with a delightfully spicy finish. We also tried Mam's Wings with Midnight Kiss Pepper Sauce. We are 10 hours ago and we had plenty leftover to take home. I might go downstairs and have some. We will be returning there again soon.
Portions are a lot smaller than they used to be.
To deliver Doordash and Uber orders, they don't pay attention to it, they deliver the orders whenever they want, they don't care about our time being there.
Some of the best Thai food in South austin. The servers are the best. I have been come here for years. 10 out of 10. I love how the restaurant is decorated.
I've only ordered take-out from this place and I haven't had any complaints. A bit expensive but the food is great.
P5s is my favorite
We've eaten here many, many times, both dine-in and takeout. The Pad See Ew, the pineapple fried rice, and the coconut curry are delicious. It's the best Thai food in Austin!
Delicious Thai restaurant!
Excellent specially prepared brussel sprouts and other flavorful dishes and drinks.
I’ve only ordered to go, but their food and authenticity is on point. So tasty. Love their pad woon sen.
Great food and service. Fast and really good taste.
Absolutely delicious, I can't wait to come back and try their lunch specials!
Food is solid but service sucks. They apparently didn't pay attention when they took my order. They messed it up and then lied about messing it up when I went to pick it up
Good food. Only I felt that portion size is lesser than other branches of the same entity .
Massaging curry was really good
I've brought most of my friends here, and plan on bringing the rest when we have the chance! Over the years the food and service has always been wonderful. If you love brussels sprouts they have some of the best I've tasted!
10/10, will definitely be back again and again!
Bankrupt Noodles are highly addictive!
Good waitress, but I shouldn't need a steak knife for my rice?? My teeth literally ache after eating here. The waitress was great but I'm not sure I'll be eating here in the future.
One of my favorite restaurants!!
They have a really good variety of dishes, including vegetarian and seafood-based options.
I love their desserts--the sweet rice with mango is a MUST if you're a sweet tooth--try it!
I order delivery and pickup all the time, and everything tastes yummy and freshly made, every single time. So good!
Overall, I enjoy going here, and it is my girlfriend's favorite place to go because she always orders the same thing, and it is by far one of the most consistent places. Kind folks who get the order right and always make sure that everything you want is there. She also enjoys the Thai iced tea as well as the bean sprouts. I, for one, enjoy a lot of the stuff, especially the steamed potstickers.
First time at this location service was great and really friendly. Everyone had a smile on their face. I left feeling wonderful and the food was great.
P42 all day, every day
How can you charge $3 for extra rice? Ridiculous.
Food spice is on par, if you get spicy 5, it is def very spicy. The ingredients used are not fresh. The veggies are def left over and the pad Thai didn’t even taste the peanut sauce. Not very authentic at all.
Always good and an extensive menu. Fast service.
I had a great dining experience with both the drunken noodles with beef and the green coconut curry with chicken. No complaints at all!
The service was friendly, fast, and efficient. The portions were very generous, and the prices were absolutely reasonable.
Overall, a fantastic experience—I will definitely be returning.
Disappointing. I ordered Pad Kee Mao and Pad See Ew recently through UberEats. I have eaten these Thai dishes and others countless times in Thailand and all over the US. Portion sizes were good, but the taste was not- the Kee Mao was just edible, I threw out the Pad See Ew after a few bites. Perhaps I just hit them on an off night, but I would not eat here again.
Service was lovely! The food was to die for and
I couldn’t get enough of the curry. You won’t be disappointed
The hours are posted as open to 10 but turned us away at 945 and claimed they closed earlier to avoid having to make us food. Not cool after we drove out there.
All around great experience, and the food was awesome!
Good Thai food is SO hard to find in Austin and God willing I found this place on accident while staying in south Austin one night.
By far the BEST Thai food I’ve had in Austin. Everything I’ve tried has been so tasty! Make sure you try number P41 the Mams Penang Beef Special, you won’t regret it! Thai iced tea was a little watery cos too much ice but still good.
Great service and lovely atmosphere. I gave 5 stars in both those areas since I particularly liked the lofi music and the waitress was very nice!
Nothing special about this place, definitely did not wow me, the Pad Tai is nothing special and kind of bland and generic really, it’s to expensive for what they serve, and no lunch menu either, the waitress was nice and she provided good Svc but the restaurant was deceiving to me because it’s a nice place and clean but I guess I was just expecting so much better, I’ve eaten Tai food all over the place and have gotten way better in San Antonio with lunch menu for less than this and that comes with soup and either spring rolls or egg rolls, anyway I won’t be back needless to say, it’s what I would call nothing special and barely ok, I guess. I would look for better cooks or a chef that really knows how to cook good clean Tai food
The food is always good for a quick meal to go or to dine in. They always modify if I ask them to.
Ordered pad see ew and the noodles were not cooked well.
Reserved a table for ten which included wheelchairs and babies.the service couldn't have been kinder and the food delicious
Good was consistently too salty for my taste. I'll have to remember to tell them to significantly lower saltiness on my next order.
Everything was so good! The left overs were yum too. I can't wait to go back 🥳
Sticky rice w/mango
Chili sauce
Egg rolls
Green and yellow curry with basil, chicken, potatoes and bamboo is my go to!
Their civic Jen fried rice is loved by everyone I know .. even picky Eaters.
Some of the staff have been their forever and super sweet!
Been dining at Madam Mam's for over a decade. This location has the worst Pad See Ew. Literally no flavor or color.
Good food, good service in a lovely atmosphere.
Really good Thai restaurant. The service was exceptional. Spice levels are clearly labeled as are vegetarian options.
I had friends walk out recently and they warned me about eating here. Tonight I did not heed the warning and went. What a disappointment. The waitress totally screwed up my order and wanted to ARGUE with us. There were only four tables/booths occupied and the service was sooooo slow. Sent food back and wound up not eating. Won’t be back.
Food here is good! I default to the NS1 noodle soup.
Takeout service is not consistent.
I ordered the takeout two hours in advance (for 2:40 pickup).
Came at 3pm and it turns out the order was messed up with the back kitchen and somehow was not yet done.
Had to wait 15 min as they never did our order.
Did not offer anything for making me wait. Bad customer service.
Food is great. This is near my house and I'd probably pick up almost every other day as I'm coming back from the gym. The only issue is that I’m constantly putting take out orders well in advance (like 20-30 minutes), getting to the restaurant and then waiting ANOTHER half an hour for the order to be ready. Usually they’re confused on my husband's name. I usually give both the credit card name and the name he goes by. I love eating here but I just can’t with the takeout anymore. Owners, please just let customers see what orders are ready. My order had been sitting there the whole time because they didn’t understand husbands first name even though I kept saying to just look for the last name. I would come here all the time if this was changed.
Awesome taste and quantity
Unique delicious food.
It was good food overall. The portions were huge compared to other Thai restaurants in Tri-state area. If you ordered dishes without meat, the vegetables in the dish were awful. There were no vegetables other than buc-choy, onions or spring onions. Generally you get good amount of bell peppers, spring beans, zucchini etc.
Otherwise the overall experience was good.
staff has always been kind and the food has always been excellent!
The food is pretty good, the portions are good too.
I love this place but I waited over an hour for take out and my husband always waits for at least 15 minutes when picking it up. So frustrating even though their food is great
In my experience is one of the best Thai foods I've had in Austin. The staff was great. Everyone was welcoming, if you coming you must have tried the Thai Coco Queso with artichoke, it's insane and the Thai Gyosas are so good, my favorite plate is the Pad Prik Gang with pork or chicken, I recommend 100%
Couldn’t be better! Great service, excellent food!!
The staff was great. Everyone was welcoming and served us food with smiles. We ordered 3 dishes - panang shrimp curry, green curry and pad thai. We had a kid's meal - which was okay as well. Except the panang curry, other 2 items were not that great.
My favorite restaurant in town! The best Thai I have ever had, anywhere and have tried all other Thai restaurants in ATX - Mams takes the cake!
I'd like to begin with the most delightful brussel sprouts I've ever tasted. They are glazed and crispy. They make a queso that is cheeseless called Thai Coco queso. It is evolutionary and accompanied by house-made wonton chips
Their slow-roasted beef curries are otherworldly. My personal favorite is P42: Massaman Slow-Roasted Curry.
It is as if the recipe was a direct result of space stars colliding in the atmosphere and the transformative energy landed in my bowl.
For my soup selection, Kai Soi is top tier. Topped with pickled mustard greens... It leaves notes of an earthy Majestic nature, sparkles, And rainbows.
All noodle dishes have been 10/10 🌟
The Red Devil wings, Yes you read that right, wings, instill a life force energy in your body that one cannot explain.
SERVICE: our service has been absolutely AMAZING. You cannot say that anywhere else. I feel like family in there. (They still won't share the recipes with me, though lol.)
I come here often and bring out-of-town guests and clients here. It is, and always has been a total hit! My people request this place!
Fav dishes:
Brussel sprouts
Red devil wings
Coco queso
Massaman slow-roasted curry, green and yellow, too
Kai Soi
Pad Se Ew
Tom Kha (and everything else similar, esp the one in the hot clay pot)
Pad Thai
All the teas... but the sweet Thai is my favorite 😍
My girlfriend and I absolutely love Thai food and Madam Mam’s is the benchmark by which we judge all other Thai restaurants. Needless to say, we haven’t found one that we enjoy more than Madam Mam’s. The food has always been exceptional and we’re always happy to show up on days when our favorite server is working. She always puts a smile on our face! With that said, we’ve never had a bad experience here. My girlfriend loves the brussel sprouts (as do I) and I’m addicted to the “coco queso” and have about 5 “favorite” dishes I rotate through. I think the green Massaman Curry (P44) could be my all-time favorite and the portions are HUGE. I’m a big guy and always require a to-go box. Can’t recommend this place enough!!!!
Very friendly wait staff, fast service and great Thai cooking!
Wife had dinner with a friend here. She enjoyed it and insisted we have dinner there soon.
We did and it's what she promised me lol. Delicious, good ambient scene, good service. Thanks yall!
The food was just ok compared to other Thai restaurants. Also, it was not pleasant when they forgot to put broccoli in the curry- brought it after on the side and charged us separate $4 for it. Spring roll plate only had two spring rolls that were overdone and came at the very end.
For a Thai restaurant, they were not so accommodating as most of their dishes/sauces were pre-made therefore no substitutions were not allowed. Not many choices for gluten free either
I’ve been a fan of, Madam Man’s food for many years. When the Brodie location opened up, I was super excited because it was closest to my house. I have been frequenting this location for a few years and the food, service and atmosphere is consistently a five-star experience. The staff and I know each other by name, and every time I enter, I am greeted with a smile, and a hello, Jimmy! The managers, Tom, and Nanc and wait staff are top notch, and frankly have became friends of mine over the years. I can’t state enough what a pleasant experience it is to dine there each and every time! I can emphatically and without reservation recommend the Brodie Lane Madam Mam’s on the highest level!! PS the Pad Thai with fresh shrimp spring rolls, gluten-free, is my favorite dishes there. They have an awesome selection of gluten-free food!! They also have an excellent happy hour with a large selection of affordable spirits and appetizers. I love Madam Mams!!!
This is my favorite Thai restaurant. The manager is the most welcoming and genuine human I have met. He goes the extra mile every time we show up, I am closer to the other location but I drive the extra 30miles just because of this man. Management if you read this, He needs a raise !!!
Very tasty food, very clean place.
Great food, Great service, And great prices!
Super friendly staff, very clean aswell.
Have been here many times and will continue to come when I want a authentic Asian meal.
P.S. try the Pad Kee Mao it’s arguably the best bang for ya buck!
Madam Mam's is one of my longtime favorite restaurants! Wunpen, Tom and Nance have always made me feel at home with their kindness and super friendly, polite service. The food is consistently excellent and the staff is always gracious. I highly recommend Madam Mam's anytime you crave amazing Thai food!
Madam mam's is the spot. I usually get take out here, but the dining room is always busy. You can order anything...its all good.
We love each location - one of our favorite places in town. A good value for the amount of food you get, too.
My wife and I dine here about once a week. The service is very friendly and we usually have the same waitress, Wunpen, when we show up on Saturday afternoons. She is very attentive and kind and always takes exceptional care of us. The menu is large and we have our favorites, which are always shared, but even after coming here for years we still stumble upon new dishes that are delicious. The atmosphere is unpretentious and comfortable and the draft beers come in large frozen mugs. I would recommend Madam Mam's to anyone who wants to enjoy Thai food in a relaxed setting, alone or with friends.
Ordered bankrupt noodles (since everyone loves them). There was a live cockroach and a dead cockroach in my food.
Wonderful atmosphere and the music so compliments the beautiful stone structure, artwork and light. Dining at Madam Mam's is a sensory Asian delight. The staff are so warm-hearted and caring
Food is delicious, and servers are attentive, polite, and helpful. I love going into the restaurant to eat.
I typically order delivery but have also eaten at this location. Definitely my go-to place for spicy curries and flavorful soups. I used to get a curry with eggplant but I cannot find it on the menu right now. Overall very tasty!
The restaurant’s curry is so delicious!!
My husband loves it!
The food and service here is always great! My favorite is the Tom Kha Gai. Huge portion with rice included
Third time in a row no. Utensils, no plates. When I called to complain very rude and was told it is the responsibility of the driver.
Am way into the special Massaman curry here. So tender!!!
Get the sweet sticky rice
Mediocre. Their pad Thai is more of a red pad Thai, more tomato and tamarind based. I got shrimp pad Thai and the shrimp were extremely over cooked and chewy. I let our waiter know but he just said “that’s how we cook them here, well done”. Also the pad Thai didn’t have any of the usual toppings (Peanuts, basil, lime wedge, bean sprouts, etc) it was just plain. I asked for a refund but they acted like that was out of the question.
Delicious shrimp fried rice!!!
Best Thai food I've ever had!
Amazing as always! Try the chicken wings. Try all the flavors. Seriously.
they were super late with our order because they forgot about us 😭 the waitress brought us some eggrolls/spring rolls/im not sure, free of charge as an apology so that was much appreciated and kind!
one of the appetizers we ordered that was delievered by a different waiter, arrived frozen cold, like thawed icy cold. told the waitress, she apologized and then she brought us fresh, fully cooked ones
then we all got our pad thai and they were delicious!
but fr if you're sitting there wondering where your food is, just ask them! accidents happen, us humans make errors all the time, they will make it right for you and make sure you leave happy! we really appreciate the waitress fixing things for us!
the atmosphere/seating was my favorite thing of the whole experience, its very cozy and nice
My absolute favorite restaurant in all of austin
My boyfriend and I love going to this place for dinner. It's our "thing" now. I love the house curry, the pad Thai, and gang pang dish. So so good. Must try. Always satisfied and hot when we are served a to-go order. The team is very helpful and when we go to the restaurant, the service is always great.
It took 2hrs17mins to get my Uber Eats order
Most traditional that that I’ve found in the area since I’ve been to Thailand. Service is also great.
Waitress with the orange hair has a major attitude which is odd since we've been waiting for 40 minutes for our food
In my language, tamizh, Thai, means mother!
You’re a true embodiment to a #Motherly cuisine , which is Thai & throughly enjoyed the food, service and the attention to detail by all the staff.
You’re a testament to the #American dream flourishing for anyone, no matter which part of the world they are from, and the Lord’s light shines the bright in the lone star state.
You’re an inspiration to all immigrant entrepreneurs like me wanting to make it on our own, on our own terms!
Thank you for the amazing food and the respect displayed on the service.

By far, my favorite restaurant in Austin. Every dish is delicious
Absolutely love Madam Mam's. Their pad see ew is my go to. The egg rolls are delicious. It doesn't come with the traditional sweet and sour sauce It has its own special sauce which is great. My husband loves the bankrupt noodles He has a spicier palette than I do. Nice wine selection and beer. I'm never disappointed the food is consistent and the service is excellent.
Great Thai curries, soups and tiger cry!
Cute waitress, too!
My friend & I had lunch here & one of the customers was insensitive & rude to my friend. Staff handled it so well! They were kind & gracious. I'll remember their kindness. Also the food is great!!
The food here was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. The serving size and portion that they give to you definitely will fill you up and maybe even have you take leftovers. I was 100% satisfied with the service and the overall presentation of all of our entrées. My friends and I had just gone wedding dress shopping and we’re super parched and hungry after a day of just wedding dress shopping so when my one friend recommended this place we all were in agreement. And when I say that was the perfect ending to such a crazy hectic day, I mean it. I definitely recommend this place to anybody who is around this area!
Fantastic food and service.
Service was slow and food was okay ish … a lil bland and salt less for an Asians taste
Ordered Pad Thai with Chicken and Drunken noodles with pork. Both dishes were a total disappointment. The Pad Thai tasted like it was a reconstituted dish made with some kind of tomato powder. Texture was like paste on noodles. Tasted nothing like pad Thai. Bland with no flavor.
Drunken noodles were next level sadness. The noodles tasted like boiled flat noodles with a minimal attempt at stir frying with old ingredients that had given up all hope of taste a long time ago. There literally was no flavor, tasted like oil and boiled starch water with some cooked pork - with flavorless basil.
Overall very disappointed with first and definitely last experience with this restaurant. Total waste of thirty dollars.
Delicious, and huge portions. Great!
My husband & I had our first date at Madam Ma’am’s & have enjoyed the food for 13 years at various locations.(Saps too)
Today was a big disappointment for the first time & the first time at this location. I have eaten the Num Tok salad at least 50 times. Today the pork was cold, tough & dry, obviously cooked in advance. It was so dry, the delicious sauce could not not soak in. I’m very aware of the shortage of staff & overlooked the spotty service, he was doing his best. We’ll be back, but not to this location.
I wish I liked Madam Mam's more, since it's the closest Thai spot in South Austin. We've given it two tries (once dine-in, once take-out). Both times it was just alright and a little on the bland side.
Dine-in service was slow (it took over an hour to get our meal) but we weren't in a rush and recognized that they were short-staffed.
My favorite thai place in Austin.
So, I used to love this place, but it has really sucked the last couple of times I ordered. The street pad Thai literally had no flavor, it was absolutely awful. Thank goodness I had some sauce at home, or it wouldn’t have been edible. my husband had the pork fried rice. The only thing good about it was the onions.we will never order here again. Trust me on this, I’d you want the best pad Thai or fried rice in town, drive just 10-15 min down the road to Gotjis in Buda. Trust me!
Sadly the food was completely inedible. Ordered tofu sweet and sour and there was just boiled vegetables…. And no tofu… In addition the rice was undercooked and the Pad Thai was flavourless…. Really hoping it was just an off day for this restaurant 🥴
Good service, hot tasty food, nice drinks.
Good place never had problem!
We spent a nice and delicious time here. Portions are very big and satisfying. We wound up taking some of it home to enjoy later. Service is good, but could be a bit more attentive (can probably be attributed to everyone being understaffed). Food is great and ambiance is very pleasing. We will definitely be back.
Appetizers are yummy & diverse 😋🥦
Excellent food and service.
The employees were very courteous and cooperative.
P41 is where it’s at!!!! And their Thai tea is also very good.
My first time eating in . I love the food
Yummy Green Curry. We will return.
Curries are still great. Want to explore the menu more and get more heat adventurous.
