Authentic Thai
The authenticity and savor of the food is everything! We tried the S1 as salad and its complete package. The fried and pad Thai is really good (as Asian, I know that this is one of the best! 🥰). Lastly, picking a dessert? We are not disappointed choosing the Thai tea and mango sticky rice 😋
The quality of the food is great! 10/10
The service and the ambience of the location inside too, and we will definitely going to come back.
This place is so pretty and it has a ton of seating inside and outside, it was clean and the environment was calm.
The service was great and our server was attentive. Our orders came out at a good time and when they did we were pleasantly surprised. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh with so many flavors. Everyone enjoyed the food so much and even though we are from out of town we definitely will be back!
One of my best places to have Thai food. I have been here more than 4 times now. This time however the service was slow it could be because of the rush hour. The chicken satey was cold. I loved the jasmine aroma tea. The mango and sticky rice is always yumm. Noodles were too good but they need to be careful while cooking the vegetarian noodles in the wok. Should not use the same wok as used for meat and seafood dishes for vegetarian dishes. And coconut cake has always been the highlight of our dine in visits. Overall good food and good live music if you are dining in on the weekend.
I’m a Thai food snob and constantly seek out the best Thai spots and I will say this one has instantly become my favorite. I always try the pad Thai when I go to a new spot and their pad Thai dish was delicious. It has the perfect balance of sweet and spice and the sauce is generous (I despise a dry noodle dish). I also ordered their special puff curry chicken appetizer and the filling was tasty and plentiful. Their lychee infused sake was sooo good too. The ambience is beautiful and their music in the background consists of soft covers of familiar songs. I’ve never been to Thai land but this place makes me feel like I’m there. Sunny was my waiter and he was very professional, attentive and amiable. I highly recommend this spot and I will be back. Thank you!!
I recently dined at KHON Thai Kitchen by Seeda with two friends, and overall, we enjoyed our meal. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, regular chicken fried rice, and the Crying Tiger. While the flavors were definitely there and quite enjoyable, the quality of the dishes left something to be desired.
For instance, the fried rice lacked a decent amount of meat. As shown in the pictures, the chicken was sliced into tiny pieces, and it was difficult to find much of it in the dish. The steamed mussels were also disappointingly small, barely larger than the small saucer that accompanied them. It made me wonder why they couldn't serve larger mussels or include more meat in the dishes, as this definitely detracted from the overall dining experience.
On a positive note, the service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is spacious and cozy. However, I feel that a little more attention to portion size and ingredient quality could elevate the experience further.
Disappointing Takeout Experience at Khan Thai Kitchen
I placed an online order at Khan Thai Kitchen and was told it would be ready at a specific time. Upon arriving, I was informed it would take an additional 10 minutes. I returned 12 minutes later, only to find the order still not ready. After asking about the delay, I was told, "I don't know, I just work here," which was incredibly unhelpful. Another five minutes turned into 10 more minutes, and I was still left waiting.
After 34 minutes of waiting. It was clear they had no sense of urgency or organization, and there were several other frustrated customers in line whose orders were also not being processed efficiently.
Adding to the disappointment, they do not offer public restrooms, which is another inconvenience for customers waiting longer than promised.
If you're looking for a Thai restaurant that actually cares about customer service, I highly recommend Madam Mam's. Their team is consistently outstanding, and they prioritize their customers with prompt, reliable service.
I will not be returning to Khan Thai Kitchen for takeout. Save your time, money, and energy and visit a restaurant like Madam Mam's that values their customers.
I had an exceptional experience. The staff was incredibly friendly.
The food was absolutely amazing. Each dish was bursting with authentic Thai flavors, and the presentation was beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the crab fried rice and the fried papaya salad, both of which were cooked to perfection. The ingredients were fresh, and the spices were perfectly balanced.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Thai cuisine in a comfortable and friendly setting. I will definitely be returning soon!
The food is delicious!!
The food, ambience and service were all top notch. Their lychee sake and mossaman curry are must try. Lovely new thai place in Austin
The service and atmosphere was great but the food didn't taste to well, it tasted more like African spices with the dry fish taste and I ordered a pork dish. My wife's food tasted the same as mine(she ordered beef) but hers was swimming in oil and the meat was tough and wasn't cut all the way through, it looks like they started cutting but rushed it. Like I said the waitress, was super nice and we loved the setting. I'm just being honest because I want them to succeed.
Great quality for price. Coconut soup, crispy duck, shrimp pad Thai were delicious.
The restaurant is really good and reasonably priced. The only downside is that parking can be a bit challenging.
The best thai place nearby
Excellent flavors and variety of dishes. I tried the hottest dish, 4 fires / 4 fires, but it wasn’t that hot. Definitely going back during lunch hour! Staff is very nice and the place is very clean and fast.
The green curry is delicious! The mango sticky rice is to die for too. Highly recommend it.
This is decent Thai food in Central Austin. I’ve been here a few times, mostly because it is the most convenient. I think it is not as good as the previous ownership and the services a bit slow, but it is not bad.

This Thai restaurant deserved 5stars. Everything is fresh and delicious! The atmosphere and the service is great!
Great place. The thai curries are amazing. Every time I go, they improve their decor and ambiance. I like the way they've done it. Give it a shot!
I had Pad Woonsen Noodles, and they were absolutely delicious. It came with a Garden Roll as part of the lunch menu, which made for a perfect combination.
Awesome location and ambiance. Amazing food. It felt like I was back in Phuket.
We waited 30 mins to get our food since they forgot to make the soup we ordered. Then they served the entree that was sitting and had gone cold. Clearly the service is better I guess if you are a regular. I would not recommend the place if you plan to go based on Google reviews.
crazy warm and friendly staff that make you feel right at home. very attentive service.
Excellent Spices and fresh tasty meals
Take out seems to be very quick. I live nearby and often place my order on the way home from work and have never had to wait. The pad see ew is a bit dry, but maybe thats just me, its still good :-)
Great Thai food and while we were there they had very good live music.

Panang beef and crispy pork belly were 10/10

Phenomenal services, food was fantastic and location is perfect.
I come here regularly and I love it, food and service never disappoint. I would highly
recommend.
Am thrilled that a restaurant like Khon Thai is in Austin with authentic flavors that taste home cooked with oil that smiles in your tummy. We were floored yesterday when we went for the first time. Definitely pegged as a family favorite even though we live in the opposite side of town. We'll done.
I would rate this as one of the best Thai restaurants in Austin. We are vegetarian and enjoyed the veg stir fried which had nice burnt flavour. Also, the green curry was soo flavourful and had the perfect consistency. Also, they have an option to choose roti instead of rice. Highly recommend this place.
Pineapple fried rice was really good. Portion size was nice. They added cashews and raisins which tasted good

Came with a party of 5 (3 adults 2 kids). Was charged an auto 20% gratuity that was not disclosed anywhere.. the food was average at best. Disappointed.
Honestly, an awesome place to drop by. Outstanding flavor and service. Really good papaya salad, pad thai, and padang.
We visited for the first time today at lunch and tried the Pad Thai. It was authentic and tasty. We look forward to trying other Thai dishes here.
Don’t bother calling during slow times to ask questions about anything related to how they prep their gluten free items. I couldn’t finish asking my questions without being interrupted several times. When I tried to clarify, the lady snapped. Good for them for treating customers terribly and not being able to simply speak to customers calmly. They clearly don’t need my support.
My favorite Thai spot in austin so far. I usually get the green curry or the massama curry, and the pineapple fried rice. Love that you can easily customize your order online.
Tasty food at a decent price, if you want some Thai this is a great option. Tried a lot of the menu and there has yet to be a miss
Large portions, yummy food. Reasonably priced. Great for vegetarians.
Definitivamente volveré en mi próxima visita an Austin.
Kua Kling Praram - The curry sauce was great! Flavors were authentic despite not being fresh. The curry was served warm but the ribs in the curry itself were cold. I don’t mean that they were just cooler than the sauce. I mean it felt like the ribs came out of the fridge and dumped on top of the dish. To be fair, the flavor was there but so was the initial fear of undercooked meat. The meat was cooked through, well seasoned, and fell off the bone. (Not Spicy)
E7 Sesame Chicken - This dish was not lightly fried. It was deeply fried. The chicken was dry along with the vegetables. In general, the dish was bland and dehydrated. You could probably use this dish in place of the dehydrated camping packets for long hikes. (Not Spicy)
A8 Brussel Sprouts - the brussels sprouts were sweet, crispy, well seasoned but ultimately ordinary. The only thing that made this dish Thai inspired were the Thai basil leaves blanketing the Brussels sprouts. (Not Spicy)
A5 Pork Belly (6 oz.) - This was the best dish I ordered. The pork belly has to be eaten with soy sauce/lime/vinegar mix. If you eat the pork without the sauce, you likely will think it’s too dry. (Not Spicy)

Really enjoyed the food
By far the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Visited the area from Dallas and this spot did not disappoint. I have a medical condition and cannot eat any red meat and the items with chicken were excellent. Chicken garden rolls/spring rolls were the best I’ve ever tasted at a restaurant. Chicken was perfectly cut and proportioned, cucumber was very tasty, and the peanut sauce was just perfection. I always say you can’t go wrong with fried rice but their chicken fried rice was great on another level. Will definitely be coming back to this restaurant when back in the area. DFW needs to step up!
Their live music is really amazing. Their food tasted really good and they have a lot of vegetarian options. I ordered the yellow and green curry and enjoyed it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming and friendly.
Authentic, spicy, and delicious Thais food. I ordered the Kohn Fried Rice, tom Yum with seafood, chicken pad see ew, and mango sticky rice and coconut cake for dessert. I recommend them all! Very quick service as well!
Everything is perfect. If you looking for original Thai tests this place is amazing.
This place really was a blessing to find! The service was great, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was perfect! I got the Pineapple fried rice with chicken and it absolutely hit the spot. Almost had a curry fried rice flavor profile, but it was exactly what I wanted.
The Mrs got the chicken pad Thai and it was perfect.
Give this place a try if you’re in the area and you won’t be disappointed! Grab a dragonfruit cocktail while you’re at it, it was amazing.
My fav thai restaurant in Austin. When you walk in, you can feel that it is a self-respecting restaurant. Nice vibes and spacious, comfortable interior. Not crowded.
Tastes authentic.
Tom yum flavor is deeper from what you’d get from other Thai restaurants in Austin.
The prawn appetizer comes with rice and a refreshing limey dipping.
The green curry is pretty good too.
When I eat in a new Thai restaurant, I always order Pad Thai. Khon's was delicious! Servers were attentive. An excellent dining experience.
Lunch specials were great. Food came out quick & hot.
Music was a little loud,
Sticky rice in a $18+tax+tip dish was reheated in a microwave and served in a plastic bag! Five minutes later, as expected, it was hard and stale.
Rice noodles, can’t even call it more than that, were incredibly bland with no flavor except for oceans of salt and soy sauce.
I also asked twice for fresh chili for the noodles because they needed something other than salt: They eventually brought out frozen chili… At a Thai restaurant. On Saturday night.
Pineapple fried rice was quite ordinary and bland.
You draw your own conclusion about the state of a Thai kitchen with no fresh chili or freshly cooked rice on Saturday night.
It’s a “never return” for me.
The Tom Yum Soup is a must try, and the service is always friendly and top notch.
Have eaten here over 10 times and am NEVER disappointed with service, quality and flavor. Servers are always very kind and I love the food especially the mango sticky rice. Thank you for perfect experience everytime💕
Worst pad see ew I have ever had. no meat and sauce tasted strange. I would skip this place and go to madam mams instead. This place is really close to my house but never again im afraid.
Good authentic Thai food and friendly staff
Absolutely delicious cuisine!!! Do not sleep on this place the flavor in the entrees are to have!!!
Food was decent. Found a hair at the bottom of the soup.
i went here on a thursday afternoon. it was very empty. it’s fine, but the restaurant is very big and had quite a lot of seatings but then there’s like 3 guests in there including us.
we had a meal before this, so we just wanted to eat something light. we got fried chicken wings and tom yum. i got chicken tom yum, and the chicken was kinda dry. the broth was decent though.
my mom fairly enjoyed the chicken wings. they were flavorful enough and crunchy.
service was meh. could be better, but it felt like the servers were bored that their restaurant had only 3 guests, so they didn’t even bother to be attentive.
Tried the pad kee mow and pad see ew and both were extremely dry and spicy. The noodles were severely lacking flavor. This is coming from a South Asian person who eats a lot of spice frequently. The takeout portion sizes are also relatively small.
Came here after months of wanting to try. The atmosphere is great, dim, and sultry but casual. Food was top-notch. Growing up around Cambodian neighbors and khmer friends, Thai food was always a favorite for me. All the thai places I've been to never tasted close to authentic until I came here. We got about 6 different entrees and appetizers. Also, I got plenty of non alcoholic drinks. The thai green tea was everybody's favorite. The foods we ordered were:
Pork Pad Thai - mildly spicy and good
Pork Belly - super impressed, delicious
Tom Yum - spicy & delicious
Tum Tad papaya salad - mildly spicy and good
Crab Fried Rice - super soft and yummy
Yum Naer - my favorite, spicy & delicious
The drinks we ordered were:
Hibiscus Tea
Thai Tea
Thai Green Tea
Sprite
Water
Customer service was amazing, and everybody was super sweet. The ambiance was perfect. Must try!
Crab fried rice is good
Great food and service!
Our favorite Thai food in ATX. Food is excellent and service is very good
Most authentic Thai in Austin with reasonably priced food and a large capacity restaurant so no stress in getting a table.
Really solid food, quick service, great deal. We did a date night here and ordered an app, a large sake and two entrees - out the door for under $80!! Will definitely be back.
Our 1st visit and so happy we decided to try. The Sunny and staff were super friendly and attendtative even though the restaurant was busy. The foods were excellent, came out on a timely manner and the authentic tastes of all the dishes 😋 We ordered tum tadd, boat noodles, chicken satay, larb, cured pork fried rice and finished with stickyrice mango. We'll come back anytime we're in Austin 💯
Highly recommend this place for yummy Thai food! My Thai friend love this place too! I have been here several times already and their crab fried rice, crispy pork belly, papaya salad, and Thai green tea and Thai tea are so amazing and delicious. Their crab fried rice and papaya salad are big portions that will give you another meal. I also tried their pad kee mao and fish dish which are good too. The only thing that I don’t like is their satay meat on the stick since it’s a bit small and I don’t like sweet meat.
Delish! Love the Tom Kha Soup! 💗 And the chili pepper oil 🔥🐦🔥😄
my boyfriend and i have been here a handful of times now and it's definitely one of our favorite thai spots in austin! they have a small but nice little patio you can enjoy your food on if the weather is nice. and the waitstaff is always so kind and full of great recommendations. some favorites i recommend are, S2 Yum Naer (steak salad), T1 Tom Yum with chicken or shrimp, K1 Moo Ping (pork skewers- MUST have), E1 Ga-Prao with crispy pork belly and fried egg.
Best Thai in Austin. The Pad See Ew and Tom Yum soup are exceptional.
Khon easily serves the best authentic Thai food I’ve had in Austin. The staff is exceedingly friendly, and the restaurant is very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. My table got several orders of chicken soft bones as appetizers, which were amazing and paired extremely well with alcohol, especially beer. It’s a unique menu item I haven’t seen at any other restaurant, but I wish it was more common! Definitely became one of my favorite foods to snack on. The fried tofu was also outstanding - fluffy and light. What really stood out to me was the pork jowl. It was tender, savory, and had the texture of a perfectly cooked filet mignon. My friends and I absolutely loved dining here and will certainly be coming back again!
Food is delicious!
I got dinner to go and it was decent but nothing spectacular. I ordered the pad kee mao and the portion was small for $15. I’m used to getting two meals from takeout but this was definitely just one meal. I went with +2 spicy with +3 being the max. It did have a little heat but i should have gone higher. The dish itself lacked any real flavor and it was weirdly watery. I think it just wasn’t cooked well because I get the same kinda slimy watery texture when I cook rice noodles at home. That said, I’m not a professional and I don’t charge $15 for a small takeout portion. The restaurant itself is pretty but there are so many good options for the same dish nearby so I will probably order elsewhere next time.
Really impressed. I just popped in without expecting much either way, but my food and drinks were all delicious! Will definitely be returning, and soon
Really good quality ingredients, cooked with lots of flavor. They filter the table water, a nice touch! The herbal sunset tea was delicious and made from real herbs, not a teabag.
The food is average or can be better but the services are good and the restaurant is clean and well decorated
I would say this is the best Thai restaurant in Austin! Tasty food, nice ambiance and best service!
this place was amazing! I ate beforehand, so I kept tasting my friends food and oh my!
The cocktails were yummy, I tasted my friend's Lychee drink and it was so delicious!
the portions were big, pretty, tasty, and shareable! The table got the Duck, roasted beef, and tofu curry noodles. (these might not be the actual names. Sorry. I didn't order!)
I personally got the Earl Gray Tahitian tea, with a slice of the coconut cake. I had to get a second piece to take home to my family because it was so good!!
We visited this restaurant one other time a year ago and loved the food but didn’t enjoy the inside atmosphere - when we first walked in, the place had a sewage-like smell, but we decided to give it another try & this time around, we had a great experience. They opened the door and kept the place aired out - it was an easy fix but made a big difference in our dining experience. Food-wise, we enjoyed both dishes we ordered, beef panang curry and stir-fried veggies with chicken. We plan to return to try out some of their other dishes.
Their service is very bad ! Waiting for appetizers more than 25 minutes. Still not here yet ! Not good at all ! Their food is alright! But worse service!
Huge restaurant and our waitress was very friendly. I like the atmosphere and I think it was decorated well.
We ordered the crispy pork belly which was pretty good and crispy. The pad see ew which tasted ok to me. My accomplice got crab fried rice and ga prao and they said it was excellent to them.
The mango sticky rice was also ok. Mangos were kind of small must not be in season
Lousy, not veggie-friendly and expensive. I went in here to get food to go unaware that it was no longer Saps, the Thai restaurant that used to occupy this spot. My husband wanted a salad -- a vegetarian salad. All three salads on their menu are heavily meat-oriented I asked about substitutions. No suggestions forthcoming, so I decided to get him a salad at HEB instead. I ordered the stir-fried veggies and "purple" rice. They don't do brown rice, apparently. When I collected, the portions were tiny, the rice was tasteless, hard and dry and the veggies? Well, I could have stir-fried some veggies and slopped some soy sauce on them myself. The food was $15 plus a $2 upcharge for the nasty rice. Oh, and the decor is no longer the warm, cheerful appearance that Saps cultivated. More like a basic diner with plastic plants dangling from baskets at far too low a height. Yikes! Won't be coming back.
Delightful, fresh, and spicy! Friendly beautiful waitstaff.
We were in Austin and decided to try this place. From when we walked in to the server taking our orders to the food, everything was great! So much flavor to the food! We got the pineapple infused sake and the lychee infused sake.I love the pineapple infused sake better 🤤. Got the pork belly as appetizer and some pram ram and yellow curry. Definitely recommend 🌶️
Liked the food, but i won't give it 5 stars because I have had some amazing Thai food. Buti would recommend the experience and go back
Fun with a friend
The restaurant is terribly understaffed, and the customer service is not great. Our order was messed up, and there’s a long wait time for food. The staff is unapologetic and said it’s a busy day and they prioritized to go orders. Average food as well. I’d go somewhere else for good Thai food.
This place is lit!! This is how authentic Thai food you can find!!
Came in hungry left out happy I would recommend this place
The best Thai food in town! We had fried pork belly, Thai pepper fried rice, Khon Thai soup noodles and curry pork ribs and were satisfied with all our dishes. The service was prompt and provided in the friendliest manner possible. A great choice for a weekend treat.
I eat there sometimes and get take out often. Love the food. Authentic Thai for most dishes. And I’m Thai. Service has always been great.
Went yesterday with a friend. The service was friendly and exceptional. We really enjoyed the food and menu / drink options. Looking forward to trying more dishes!
Terrible service. Waited over an hour for pad Thai, a dish that should be quick to cook. Everyone was waiting long for their food in the restaurant, while the waiters weren’t checking up on people. Had to call down a person to get service and then all of a sudden our food came out coincidentally. They brought my food out a whole 30 minute gap from other people in my party. And when they finally brought the food it was wrong. Wasted an almost two hours. The problem is kitchen and management. They do not know how to properly organize orders and are extremely slow. Go to titayas, quicker, cheaper and better.
Brussel sprouts were good, pad see ew is ok. Food took 50 min to come out
Best green curry and eggrolls I’ve had in Austin!!!!!! Soulful, green curry. Paired it with a jellyfish IPA. Delicious
Very nice & clean restaurant. Food was very good & good service too!
Excellent meal, good portions, very flavorful. The Ahi Poke Nachos were an amazing fusion taste treat!!! Outstanding service, quiet atmosphere. A real gem!
Had yellow curry and pad Thai for takeout, good portions and packaging, great food quality!
Between 3-4; Will try around before returning
Wow this place has not only incredible dining in person, but also takeout. This is the best Thai food I have found since my trip to Thailand a year ago. Menu highlights are the kra pao, pad see ew, and green curry. Delicious!!
One of the best Thai food in Austin. I ordered crispy pork belly, boat noodles, Yum Nam, Ga prow with crispy pork belly. Food came pretty quick. The service is excellent! Makes me feel like home every time I come. I love Boat noodles. The taste and texture is just right. Also the crispy pork belly is THE BEST! Must order!!!.
We come here at least once every three weeks as we love Thai food. But we normally do dinner. I am giving 4 stars only because of their lunch. The lunch was 13.00 and it was three times smaller than the dinner. I attached a photo. The egg roll gives a look of the size. And the size of egg roll is only 3 inches. So their lunch value is an absolutely no go as it’s only 2.00 less from their dinner. I also ordered wings and I would advise against that the were sliced and the fried and when you split them apart the meat was like card board.
But please try this place I would just say skip lunch as for some reason it’s completely different at dinner but it should be known..
Very underrated spot and our favorite Thai food we've had in the US since returning from Thailand a year ago. Chip was our friendly waitress and l hope to have her again. It is a nice ambiance in a large setting so luckily there were many tables and we didn't have to wait to get seated. Will be coming back!!
