Very friendly service here! Wasn't too busy and was seated right away. So many good options and I couldn't decide, so I asked the waiter to surprise me with a couple that I picked out. I tried the Thai Ginger with beef 3 spicy and it blew my mind how good it was. Very fresh ingredients and amazing flavor. I ended up ordering another to go so my wife could try it too. It's not like a newly opened Thai restaurant that considers itself to be "The Best in Town." Eatery Thai Basil Leaf: Cozy setting that seems like home; the lady treats you like a relative. The meal is delivered swiftly, and the flavor is altered depending on the level of spiciness you want. When you visit this location, you should try the Thai tea. Crab Cheese is a fantastic appetizer that tastes great right away. In general, it's a smart idea to voice your views. This establishment, which I believe serves Thai food, is one I would suggest.

Stopped by for a Friday lunch and it was pretty busy. They are a bit short-handed so it took a while to get our order taken, but the lady serving us was very nice and had a great sense of humor. I ordered the Pad See Ew. It was good.

I visited with my family and a group of friends. The place is not large, but has a cozy feel. No loud music so you can enjoy conversations with people on the table. We had Pad Thai, Pad See Ew & Spicy Basil. Everything tasted good, but didn't particularly stand out. The staff was nice and friendly. The food didn't take long to come out. I would go back again.

I’ve become a regular customer in these past few months :D It’s a clean, decent place for Thai food lovers. The food is delicious and the employees are great. I have tried their Crab fried rice, Green curry rice and Basil fried rice. We can suggest our spice levels.

Got the pad Thai with shrimp three days ago, the shrimp was soft and slimy and I had diarrhea the next day. Please from now on have a higher standard considering the quality of the seafood.

This is a small restaurant tucked into a strip mall shopping center. It has the typical family owned restaurant feel of many Asian restaurants I have visited in the past. The parking lot has plenty of room, the restaurant is small, but seating is adequate. We went on a Saturday night and there were no more than a dozen people in the restaurant. The seating was available for more than double that. The lady who greeted us was helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The food was great and we didn’t have to wait very long. We were able to customize our meals without difficulty.

An error was made on my order and it was quickly corrected. What was most noticeable about how it was handled, was the courteous and professional attitude. There was no unnecessary discussion or blaming of anyone, but it was simply corrected without any drama. I appreciated how it was handled.

I ordered the Thai fried rice with chicken and beef. They offer seasoning that is rated 1 thru 5, with 5 being the hottest. I ordered 3 to play it safe. It was about as hot as a hot picante sauce. I don’t mind more seasoned food, so next time I will order a little more heat.

My wife is on a gluten free diet, which wasn’t a problem. She also is on a ketogenic diet, which also wasn’t a problem. One of our party is a vegetarian, and they offer foods that fit his needs, as well.

Acoustics are nice and not too noisy.

The price was quite reasonable.

This was a nice experience and we will definitely return.

Visited during a busy lunch hour on a Tuesday. Food was all delicious, as usual! The lone server was busy but managed to keep up with the packed restaurant, and food came out quickly from the kitchen. This is one of the best Thai restaurants in Arlington... highly recommend!

The portion sizes are getting ridiculously smaller these days. We ordered $70 takeout yesterday thinking it will be enough for 3 but, sure enough, it wasn’t. The taste is as good as ever but there is no quantity.

I discovered this place when I went to the high school across the street from Thai Basil back in 2013. It’s consistently been good ever since! I normally dine in and it’s not ever really crowded.

I proceeded to order the Dumplings & Thai Ginger w tofu, which was amazing. My food was served & I had to request chopsticks. That was the last interaction before I had to wave my hand for my ticket & to-go container. I'd been sitting there for roughly five mins prior, clearly done w my meal. This was ~5p on a Friday afternoon. It was not crowded; I was one of three seated patrons.

I, like other reviewers, have been a customer for several years. I have noticed that the quantity of food has decreased and the price has increased. Yesterday we ordered takeout and the portions of the Pad woon sen and Pad Thai included three very small pieces of chicken in each entree, for $11.95 each. We ordered the black pepper steak stir fry which was $17.95, and the portion was ridiculously small. For the amount of money that we spent, we expected much more food. It was definitely not worth the money and we do not plan on ordering again anytime soon.

Nice little Thai place near Uta. I love the pad kee mow… it’s really good with either chicken or beef, decent price for portion size. I’ve came for lunch a couple times and both times service was quick and friendly. Really solid Thai spot although i have had even better Thai places.

Made a call order, basil fried rice with tofu and veggies with no brocolli. Gave me tofu fried rice didnt add veggies. Later when i called they were like bring the food i will fix it and then when i gave the food they aimply added uncooked raw veggies and gave it to me with brocolli which i said not to add..

Best thai food around and it isn't even close. Pineapple fried rice is to die for, spicy lvl 4 for days. If you are a baby just stay at spicy lvl 1, do not test lvl 2. Trust.

Outstanding quality and value. It’s all good, though my favorite dish is the Pad Kee Mao. It’s loaded with fresh vegetables and is enough for two meals.

I got green curry to go! It was so good!

I haven’t eaten here before and just got take out for lunch. I’m not really happy with the portion size for the price. I’m used to eating on fried rice a couple of times and I would at least expect there to be more than 4 little pieces of chicken in my basil fried rice. Also, the onions and peppers were huge pieces and barely cooked. My daughter got the pad Thai and she liked it. I’m not sure if I got them on an off day?

Came for lunch with my family on a Friday. First thought was that floors were rather dirty despite us being the only diners there.

However, the food definitely made up for it. The food was well-priced and well-portioned; it was around 13 dollars per person for a good amount of food. We ordered the chicken pad thai, beef Thai fried rice, and one of the stir fries with beef. Food was extremely good and left with three plates wiped clean. Definite recommend, just a bit dirty.

The spice level of the pad thai was perfect. Usually places never have any spice for level 1, but it was the perfwcr kick. I also got the mango sticky rice was delicious. At first i thought they didnt give me enough rice, but it ended up being just the right amount.

I haven't had Thai food this good in a long time. Two other area Thai restaurants couldn't even compare. The last time my husband and I remember Thai this delicious, we were dining in San Francisco! Thank you, Thai Basil!

Great googily moogily....this place is DELICIOUS!!!! I grew up in a small town in northern AZ that had just a few Thai places, but one of them was the best I had ever had in my life. Even after traveling a lot in my 20's and 30's, I hadn't found a place that bested my beloved old Dara Thai....until now. My wife and I tried Thai Basil for the first time last week and now we're getting it again today. It's so unbelievably good and I don't say that about just anywhere. It officially took the #1 spot in my favorite Thai places of all time. Cannot say enough good things!!!

Overall a very disappointing experience and won't waste my money here again.

Rude, showed up 45 min till close to eat at the establishment , wanted to try this establishment from the reviews, and they basically said no... To go orders only., There were 2 tables (3 people) sitting waiting for food but the cashier refused to seat us ...

I get if we show up 10 or 15 min before close that they can close the front of the restaurant but we were 45 min prior to closing... I caught the owner just looking at us through the kitchen window as we stood there for 5 minutes waiting to be seated... Why didn't he come out while we waited to be seated

We waited for the cashier to finish taking a phone order , 5 minutes, to be seated. That's when he dropped the No we are not going to seat you...

Not recommending this place because the team wanted to go home early, basically saying they don't care about serving, and I bet that reflects how they care about the quality of the food when they are so focused at closing the restaurant down early.

I just wish y’all’s system was as good at giving people their money back for food they never received as you were taking the money in the first place. To be treated like a liar and hung up on when I offered to bring my order confirmation, credit card statement, and screenshots that all went through on a day the business was closed (with no indication except a sign on the door that you got to see after your already placed the order) is ridiculous. Ordered extra veggies costing $2 extra, got one piece of broccoli in the pad Thai. They insisted it was extra veggies… Also ordered a chicken fried rice with no onion… it was covered in onions. Best Thai food around! The Saute chicken with Peanut Sauce, Phenomenal! The Pineapple Curry with Chicken, Delicious! Had the Tom Kha Soup, Very Good! The Sweet Stickey Rice with Mango for Dessert, OMG, So Good! I've eaten here twice now and hard to believe, was better (very delicious each time). The food is not overpowering by one seasoning or another, which makes the meal truly something to enjoy!

The food was basic. I've had better fried rice. For spicy level I asked for 3 out of 5. The food was bland, I think they forgot to put any spice. To make the food taste better I asked for some lime, the waitress told me it was going to be an extra $1 for a full lime to what I agreed. She came back with 3 slices. Then I thought she wasn't going to charge for it since it wasn't a full lime as she specified. But she did charge it. Sorry to write a review over a $1 in limes but then I didn't enjoy my food like I like it. I love Thai food, but won't be coming back to this restaurant. I went on a Monday and was the only one eating at that time. I gave 2 stars and not one because the fried spring rolls were good.

Friendly service, excellent food, very clean

Lady asked me to hurry up with my order because she was busy even though she was the one that kept telling me to hold on and to repeat myself because I was going too fast for her. Not going back at all.

Delicious Thai recipes and friendly and impeccable service. Try the pineapple curry, so dang good.

Super friendly, fair prices, quick service, and my favorite; the Thai Spicy is actually very Spivey and flavorful!!!

First time there and the food was delicious! My friend and I were also greeted by an amazing server who helped us through the process. Definitely would comeback again! :)

Takeout curry was not curry consistency. The panang curry was a very watery and diluted down in flavor. Perhaps the dine-in dishes are of a different quality?

Tried this place today and just wow. I was feeling something different and decided on here based on the reviews. I got pad Thai rice and it was absolutely perfect. Very full taste and the absolute perfect amount of spice. I'm excited to return

This place was not good what so ever. First off they didn't have thai tea. Then I tried ordering some appetizers and the first 2 I asked for, they didn't have either. So thats fine I get it, that happens when you have lots of customers, but the worst part was the food. It wasn't traditional Thai. For spice all they had was some acidic hot sauce, and Sriracha.... thats it. They had no hot oil! The waitress didn't even know what hot oil was! Come on. Then the entrees, i asked them for the spiciest which was a 5 out of 5, it was a 2 out of 5 on spice and tasted like all they did was put loads of that acidic hot sauce in it. Thats it. This is a very white washed thai restaurant that I would not recommend going to.

I love the Tom Yum and especially you gotta try the Curry Duck. Thai Coffee was good at well

Food is great. We ordered the spicy red curry with shrimp and fried rice. Both were very tasty. Only no of shrimp in the red curry was less in amount than expected for the rice. Overall, we will comeback soon

I have called Thai basil twice in the last 3 days. The first time, someone answered the phone and said (in an extremely fast voice) “Thank you for calling Thai basil, call back in 5 minutes please”, then hung up. I didn’t even have time to respond.

I called again today and the lady who answered said “thank you for calling Thai basil, have a good day bye bye”. Like, wth? I’ve called in the past when they are busy and they literally just disconnect the phone.

I once called in a large to go order several hours ahead of time, and they were STILL an hour late with getting the order ready.

I’ve been a long time fan of Thai basil (we eat here probably several times a month easily) since 2016. These last two poor customer service encounters have led me not want to return to Thai basil...you will not be getting my business or recommendation unless you fix these issues.

Get it together Thai basil. If you are short staffed, hire more people. And learn better customer service, to which you are extremely lacking.

I’ll be headed to Beruit Cafe. Where they actually handle customers and pick up the phone.

Great food, but unfortunately the last few times I have called to place an order someone will pickup and just thank me for calling and hang up on me. I don't know if they don't take orders via phone anymore, or if it's just a lazy employee, but it's disappointing.

Talked to a Thai without flying all over the damn place.

Ignore the bad reviews for this place. Some people can’t be pleased no matter what. This place has incredible food and people working here are very nice. Definitely worth a try but you should order 20-30 minutes ahead of time of getting takeout.

Great Food! Server was sweet. I take away a star for cleanliness. The floors and the bathroom looked like it had been a while since they were cleaned.

Arrived to find dine in closed but people eating inside. I asked to dine in like them and I was told on no your not friend. I was really excited to eat here but I won’t be back now.

Unpleasant service from the one staff member who seems to be the only employee who is ever there. She acts like she’s doing you a favor and you’re inconveniencing her with your business. Food used to be much better, not sure what happened. I used to enjoy this place, but with poor service and just ok food, there is no longer a reason to come back.

Tasty crab fried rice! Food was fresh and hot!
