Nice chain restaurant serving Asian dishes. Our social group went so a good sample of the menu. Most were pleased with their food. Was a bit hectic with a single server for our group of 20. They did seat us in a private dining room. Once the orders were taken the food came out at a good pace. I'm sure the kitchen was busy. I had the Mongolian Beef and found the cut of beef to be gristle and chewy. Not what I expected. So an okay experience, but there are better Asian restaurants. I have to admit that I am somewhat critical as I am Cantonese and can cook in a wok very well. LOL. Might be worth it if it's local for you, and don't want to go too far. Enjoy.

This place is so good. All the food is very customizable, each sauce is made for each dish so the options are endless. Our waiter Tre was very knowledgeable about the menu and with recommendations. We happy to finally have our go to place for Asian food in our new town! We had the hot sour soup.chicken skewers.hunan beef.moo shu pork and crab Rangoonz Portion sizes are large and the food is so fresh.

Delicious food here service is also great. Even when we're just want a quick bite we can pop in for egg rolls and soup and if we're feeling like a bit more there's so many other options on the menu that are delicious.

GAME CHANGER!!

Heard of Red Bowl before, and decided to give it a try. I came with my friend and we both got the general tso’s chicken lunch entree. The chicken was very low quality and basically inedible, and the white rice was the only decent part about the meal. Overall unimpressed and won’t be coming back.

Came in malnourished and starving. Left after eating 6 bites because it tasted like someone pooped in our food. Absolutely atrocious and wasted my money and time. My friend left with a cough and I feel as if I am going to throw up as I am writing this review.

The egg roll was good and the fried rice. My husband got General T So and I got sesems chicken. It was so dry and could barely eat it. They was so with the food. Now they just Microwave it.

Tried for the first time. The service was great. However, we did order takeout. Got three entrees, all of which were not good. One was the General Tso Chicken, which was 80% fried batter and 20% chicken.

I thought for 4.1 stars with 1200+ it had to be at least average. Couldn't have been more wrong.

They have a large menu, but sadly, the first experience was just too bad to give it a second chance

The food didn't taste right. I had triple delight. Maybe it was the sauce that come with the dish but it was horrible. And the spring roll was greasy. I ate the broccoli and mushrooms. The waitress asked if I needed a box to go. I let them keep it. It was that bad and I always get a togo box.

A good restaurant overall. The food, including sushi, is very good and the portions are large- I almost always have leftovers. The atmosphere is sort of generic, but not bad. My office has reserved the back room several times for get-togethers. Parking situation isn't fabulous, especially if Harris Teeter is busy... but it's not terrible. Prices are reasonable.

Ooof. Hadn’t been here in years. Starting to look like a strip mall Chinese restaurant with the extra tables at the host stand for a make-shift delivery pick up station. Losing the slightly nicer restaurant feel. Server was polite and prompt, but food was just okay. Sweet & Sour chicken had after-taste I wasn’t familiar with.

Very busy, sesame tofu with veggie fried rice was good. They even modified my bourbon tofu w/ veggie order since I don't eat chicken. Gr8 service.

Went with a church group, and the food was marginal. The service was great.

Amazing food and unbelievably fast service, the inside of the restaurant is beautiful, always a very nice time. Take out is always great as well and usually is ready within 15-20mins of calling.

Ordered tofu with brown rice.

Brown rice was cooked to an amazing and pleasing texture.

I forgot to ask that the tofu be "chowed".

Instead, the tofu was batter dipped and deep fat fried.

Good tofu, but not like the way that I prefer how tofu is cooked.

If I have a gripe the food was a meal too "Americanized".

Reason being, I do not know if the over sweetness was from fructose corn syrup or cane sugar.

Should have requested tofu "chowed" with a small amount of soy sauce and the brown rice plain.

Those are my food preparation preferences with these types of food.

Elsewise, the service was fantastic.

The Manager was attentive.

The server attended my party of four very well.

She made certain our drink glasses were filled and showed any meal need would be fulfilled.

I have my preferences and I will remember to ask the food be prepared to my preferences next time.

This restaurant has provided my request in the past.

Older woman who took my order could be friendlier when ringing me up, they charged me $1.80 for a half cup of spicy mayo. The rest of the staff was super nice and helpful.

A last-minute craving on Christmas Day, I swung by this Chinese place. It served its purpose in a pinch, but the dishes felt akin to mall Chinese food or a fast-food rendition of Asian cuisine. The flavors were passable yet lacked the authenticity or depth I typically seek. It's a convenient stop for a quick fix, but not a standout choice for an exceptional dining experience.

Small and cozy place to eat. The food is great and the service is amazing. Would definitely recommend this place.

I accidentally called the wrong location to place my order. When I called to share my mistake the Red Bowl staff was very understanding, extremely kind, and polite. If I’m ever in Rock Hill I’m going to this location. Maybe they can train staff at the Florence location on customer service. The lady in at the Florence location was very scolding and not very polite and kind.

The drop in food quality here is absolutely astounding. It's always been very neutral in flavor but it was never bad, but now the taste and texture of the food is so bad this is my last time. The mu shu pork tasted horribly burnt and the general tso chicken was slimy and tough.

My wife and I went for a date night(witch rarely happens when ya have 3 kids). Our choice for dinner was Red Bowl. We have eaten here many times before and food is usually consistent, however they were a little off their game that night. Service was excellent. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly and professionally. The food wasn't as fresh flavorful as usual and the lo mein was almost half submerged in sauce. I would eat there again, we have been there at least 10 times in 5 years and this was the only time I've had any issues with the food.

Service was fantastic and so friendly. We got in right away. My dad is very limited on what he can eat but he had the sashimi combo and seemed to quite enjoy it. I had the chicken lo mein and it was a large portion and was super delicious. My brother had the spicy curry and by how quickly he ate it I’m assuming he enjoyed it. Definitely a great place to try!

Nothing crazy special, but I can’t help but like it a LOT! The little fountain out front is so cute. Our kids loved that. The sushi is great, the boiled dumplings are yummy and the tea is perfect. I keep asking my husband to go back, lol.

Food didn't have a lot of flavor my last visit which is unusual normally it's full of flavor. The waitress was not allowing us time to give her our order she continued to cut us off as we asked for each item and we didn't get any refill on our drinks even though we asked a couple of times it was not pleasant dont know that we would be back

Red bowl has been going downhill for many years now. The service never removed from Covid. The quality keeps getting worse. It's just not worth the time or money.

This is a pretty place. Over the years I have been going, it is definitely going downhill. The food is good, just not as good. The service lacks care. The whole restaurant looks a little worn but clean.

I hadn't been for a while due to pricing, but I recently started going again and I must say I am surprised! Price point wise they align with other restaurants near by.
Since going back in 2023 we have never had a bad experience. The food is always fresh and delicious. Service has been spectacular. Sushi is top rate.
So glad my family has started eating here again.

Last time we went it seemed the AC was broken or maybe just not properly functioning, hopefully that will be remedied soon.

They always put 2 orders in the same container making food smashed up. So inconvenience!!

The general tso chicken was dry the sauce was watery and eggroll seemed as though it was refried. Takeout service was friendly.

Sesame chicken was good but it was tough and got stuck in my teeth alot which was not enjoyable. I had the take out but the atmosphere did look very pleasing to the eye and staff was very kind.

I agree with one of the other reviewers. The food is blah. It's not bad, but not spectacular.

I've been several times, and I get something different each time. It isn't bad. It's just bland. For so many Asian dishes, the ones I tried lack actual flavor. I tried General Tso's. Not spicy, not flavorful, just bland. Same for their Orange Chicken. Pad Thai equally bland. If you want good tasting food, go to a non-chain restaurant.

Wanted to try something new and now regret it! General tsos was dry, 2 pieces of broccoli, and the chicken was questionable. Szchuan beef and it was terrible. Not edible. Almost like breaded and fried beef jerky. They are very expensive! $70 for 2 meals, 2 egg rolls, 2 spring rolls, soup & dumplings, crab rangoon.

Excellent food and customer service

My husband and I order take out from Red Bowl regularly, and it is normally wonderful. However, we ordered our usual (Scallion Chicken) on 7/26 and it was TERRIBLE. We couldn't even eat it. The chicken was so tough and dry I couldn't even chew it up enough to get it down. The noodles in contrast were undercooked and sort of doughy? Not sure who was in the kitchen on 7/26 but it was not the Red Bowl we are used to.

Ate in on 7-15-23. Food was very good as was our waitress. Crunchy tuna roll was excellent. What put a damper on the experience was the partial lack of air conditioning. The air was humid and it was too warm in the restaurant. Sorry but patrons need to be comfortable when trying to enjoy their dinner.

Lo mein was cooked perfectly. Sesame seed chicken was not what I expected, but was good . Sweet & sour chicken was delicious!

Only 4 stars because of portions (lunch menu) will be back for a better review... very clean, attentive staff

Their food is good, most of the time, when you can get it.

They close at 9pm, and won't seat you at 8:30, which just means that they make enough money that they can turn away customers... so get there early if you want to eat.

Service is always great. Really enjoy the sushi and sesame chicken. One of my favorite places to eat with the family.

If I could give it zero star I would. First time visiting last week and it will be my last. Treated horribly from the door, spent almost $40 on sushi that taste horrible rubbery, fishy, sour, horrible aftertaste . The shrimp sauce was sour and the customer service sucked. The lady that serviced me was very rude rushing no greeting and had an attitude when I asked for additional shrimp sauce because she had to walk to the back. She was also throwing things in my bag shifting things around. Maybe she was tired working long hours but if you work customer service you work it til the end save what you feel til when you leave. Your smile and kindness can prevent someone from committing suicide.

A great dining experience. The dumplings and wontons were delicious, and there sushi was absolutely incredible. Our waitress was very attentive and kind during our stay, making sure our drinks were full and food came out quickly. The prices aren't bad either, and everything was definitely worth what we paid for and more. Well absolutely be coming back in the best future.

A tad overpriced for the quantity but the choices were creative and tasted good. The kind of place you wouldn’t mind going back to but wouldn’t become a regular.

My son and I arrived at 7:00 this evening expecting a great meal. This was our first time. We were so disappointed. The waitress brought out our egg rolls. They must have been sitting in the back all day and then refried to make them hot. They were tough as leather. My shrimp fried rice came out 5 minutes after I ordered. The shrimp tasted very fishy and not fresh at all and the rice had big chunks of raw onion in it. The water I drank tasted like it was poured from the dish washing sink! On top of all this disappointment my bill was $35!! For two people that don’t drink! Never again

We went in late Wednesday night to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday with our best friend. The service was great and the place is nice. Then the food came... I had ordered the bowl with just veggies, steak and chicken and from the first bite something tasted off but I figured it was just the taste of the food after the grill had already been cleaned, boy was I wrong. I woke up after 3am puking. I spent all day Thursday so bad sick that I had to leave work early and I was still feeling bad on Friday so I went to the urgent care who sent me to the ER... Turns out I had severe food poisoning... Can't say I recommend the place.
