Elephant #8 has an amazing menu and staff. The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. We love the crab Rangoon appetizers and the sauce they pair with it. Don't forget the many fun drinks they have. I would advise you to try something different everytime! All there dishes are so flavorful! Highly recommend this place.

This cost us $10 more than we originally thought we were paying for. The food is always good here. The portions are small. But like I mentioned, if you want a great meal, this place is amazing. I would hope they would update their menu since the prices should be accurate when you are handed a menu.

My colleagues and I dined at this restaurant on a recent trip to Slippery Rock. The food is amazing, especially the fried wantons and tamarind chicken. It was quite busy on the night we visited but we were seated rather quickly and didn’t have a long wait for our food. The restaurant is quite interesting and a little over the top but in a good way - a little like the owner (smile). She made a point to visit each table to make sure that guests were enjoying their meals. I’d definitely eat here again if I’m ever back in Slippery Rock.

This is our first time here and my wife and I just love this place. The service and food are fantastic. The waitress was great and very accommodating to all our needs. Elephant #8 in Slippery Rock is stellar. the food. the service. the atmosphere. the walk from the car to the entrance even! do yourself a favor, and park up the street a couple blocks. it’s a nice slow gradient downhill. its a college town, a beautiful compact town. with storefronts and cool spots to eat, a microbrewery thats merits a long relaxing visit. But back to #8, with the decorated entrance, i got a pic posted of that. how many places decorate the outside? inside, good seating. not tightly packed. plenty of customers theres a reason for that. the food is so freaking good. disclaimer, obligatory reference to time spent in air force and friends Thai Wives delicious cooking.

this restaurant had to have been planned and designed and the menu developed and curated and tested in labs… No. Pretty darn sure they just came up with everything as they went along because the food here, ALL the food here, is authentic. flat out authentic, and, drum roll, if i ever had better, i dont remember it. or you can try, everything ive had here, and i have taken food to go from here, just because. well, yeah the crispy duck was great. Linda said her Pad Thai is the best ever. its a 23 mile drive. it only makes sense to buy more food for home consumption! it saves money in the long run! and it reheats great. even the crispy duck. and it does the heat scale thing. 1 to 10. wife and i get a 4, and that is where i reccomend you start unless you are really used to REAL Thai heat. i dont know who gets the 7 to 10 heat range, but I’m impressed if you do!
the pics are more than i usually do. oh, and their summer rolls are great too, but you have to ask for fish sauce. also also, make sure you get extra chopped peanuts. no sushi. there is another one that has sushi. you want to eat at the Slippery Rock location. if you want to make a drive here, from youngstown or meadville, worth it. really really worth it.
anyways, crispy duck. the one with peppers on the side and a savory tamarind sauce. the other crispy duck has a sweet tamarind sauce. both great. i like the savory one. wife got pad thai. extra chopped peanuts. and split an order of summer rolls, with shrimp. and BYOB. that great benefit of eating out in PA! i never have, so i dont know if they charge a buck. but. i like a good beer with Thai food. i never have done the byob thing here. because, food. plus if i want a beer, up the street at the brewery place. As an aside, I’ve gotten “Best Of” meals everywhere I’ve eaten since i moved to New Castle. i genuinely like the lamb and hot dogs and gyros and Ladies of the Dukes Sunday dinners. but this spot. Elephant #8 in Slippery Rock, worth a drive in the country, to eat at this place. oh and service is gracious and attentive. service is perfect too.

This experience was a first for me. I had never had Thai food. Our waitress very kindly explained their menu to us, making it easy to chose from their extensive selections....the pictures helped also. Highky recommend this small restaurant on Main Street, Slippery Rock.

The food is good, but the portions of meat used is a joke. I’ve been here several times and this is always a problem. It doesn’t matter how good the red curry sauce is if they don’t give you any chicken with it.

This was my first time at the E#8 and it won’t be my last. I had the egg fried rice, combination. It was great!! The service was fast, the waitstaff very nice. I will be back.

The food was delicious. Our first server was very pleasant but then forgot about us and it took a while for us get our to-go order and boxes for our left overs. Another server came in to assist and then forgot us.. and the third server was very polite and very helpful.

DO NOT ORDER TAKE-OUT. I have ordered take-out twice, the first time no issues and food was great, however the second time I ordered (through the same ordering platform) when i arrived to pick-up my order, the gal at the front desk was VERY SHORT AND RUDE stating they did not receive my order and that the platform i ordered from was a SCAM. Yet a week before that my first order had no issue with the same platform. I understand being very busy and not able to get to to-go orders, but lying and stating its a scam when a customer gets there and has already paid is unethical. I now have to report it as fraud with my bank to received a refund as nothing was offered to resolve the issue. Instead after insiting it was a scam she walked away and tended to other customers. If your take out customers are not valued as you clearly indicated in your lack of response to rectify the issue, dont offer take out. I will be contacting the better business bureau on this matter, and not returning as a customer as I am clearly not a valued customer.

Super busy place with tons of take out orders! We got lucky to get seated. We had all meat hot wok, chicken fried rice and veggie wide rice noodles. Everything tasted delicious with perfect portion sizes. Definitely coming back!

This place is fantastic! We got the gyoza and crab rangoon appetizers, won ton soup, and the Fresh Garlic hot wok with chicken and shrimp and everything was absolutely delicious. We went on a busy Friday night and the service was excellent and all of our food came out quickly. We will definitely be back!

My family always loves this place, we have an amazing experience every time we go. The food tastes heavenly (especially the mango sticky rice) and the people there are always the kindest and make you feel so special.

We were in town for Drachenfest US and stopped in for dinner after set-up. This thai-food is phenomenal. Everyone in our group was exclaiming about the delicious flavours and portion-sizes, and respectably decent cost for each dish. The decor is cute, and we loved the story about the owner in the menu, much to our surprise we got the chance to meet her when we were leaving! This is definitely a go-to spot in the future. Highly recommend the salmon fried rice!

We have been here several times, both to dine in or pick up. Nina and her staff are fantastic! We have never had a bad meal or service. We would and have recommended Elephant #8 Thai Taste. We keep going back.

This place is one of my absolute favorites. I have gone here for the past few years every year on my birthday (and a few trips throughout the year when I pass by the area) they ALWAYS make me feel welcome and special. The manager here, Koko, is wonderful and goes above and beyond to make the customers happy. The owner comes out and greets customers when she is in; and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with authentic decorations and photos from Thailand. 10/10 every time!! ❤️

Wow! What a wonderful first experience! From the staff to the food everyone and everything was wonderful! We had 7 of us and for 5 of us it was our first time eating Thai food. Our 11 year old loved it! We ordered so much food, 5 apps, 7 dinners and 3 deserts and our bill was under $200! Highly recommend!

We are from Canada and went to this place for late lunch. Omg! The food was amazing. We ordered crab and cream cheese wantons, which was delicious. The papaya salad was a hit. It was our first time trying that. Usually we go for the mango salad. Teriyaki chicken, the beef and the fried rice was delicious. Mango boba tea was so tasty. The owner, Nina has a such a warm personality. She came and greeted us made sure we are happy with our orders. Coco, our server was very nice too. What I most liked about this place was that Nina made it very personable with her pictures and Buddha statues. We will definitely go back today.

We were in from NC visiting family and we saw all the great reviews this place had and decided to try it out. This place is even better than we expected! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic! Would definitely come back again if we’re ever back in town!

We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Beginning with sushi, we enjoyed delightful pad Thai and green curry. The spring rolls and miso soup were exceptional additions. Our kids also adored the food. The staff surpassed our expectations, being incredibly helpful, accommodating, and sweet with our children. We’re already planning our next visit!

I live the one in Sharon and we were out in Slippery Rock, so we stopped for dinner with our kids in the way home. Host was fabulous! Food was delicious! I had the hot wok garlic and I added chicken, my daughter enjoyed the pineapple fried rice added chicken and my son did the Thai fried rice add crispy chicken!! All was very delicious and gobbled up! Thank you for a great Sunday meal.

Highly recommend! We live near Sharon, so we went to the Sharon, Pa location. We’ve gone 4 times now. I’ve gotten a different meal each time and it was fantastic every time. I’ve had pineapple curry, volcano sushi, pineapple hot wok and the pad Thai. I’ve also tried the crab rangoons, roti and spring rolls. All of the food is delicious! The service is always quick, the staff are all very friendly and the restaurant is clean. We will be back!!

Surprise, Surprise. A great eatery in Slippery Rock. Some of the best Thai food ever. The pineapple cury was out of this world and the service was excellent. The only downside is the restaurant is dry--no alcohol, but that shouldn't keep you from this beauty.

This place was like a wonderful trip to a cultural destination right in Slippery Rock, PA! The food was fresh and vibrant and my Tom Kha soup was a perfect mix of vegetables and broth, enjoyed the flavor, it was intensely balanced. I would happily recommend this family owned establishment! I also loved the Spicy Thai Fried Rice and the Lava Chicken! If you live in the area and have not given this place a chance, you must add it to your culinary bucket list!

The Lava Chicken was some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. With a great sweet and spicy sauce. My girlfriend had a green tea bubble tea and said it was her new favorite. Beautiful display and Nina the owner is wonderful! Thank you for having us and will be back any time we are in town.

This is my favorite Thai place. The food is always fantastic and the service is excellent. The staff are friendly and personable and me and my wife drive a 1hr and 1/2 just to eat the food. My pad kee mao with chicken, shrimp, steak was just the right amount of spice and everything tasted fresh . My wife asked for duck in a garlic sauce and they obliged. It was also very flavorful and wonderful. The soup and appetizer was excellent and so
was the spring rolls they gave us when we sat down. I would recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a authentic, pleasurable dining experience. Thank you to the wait staff and cooks for the wonderful food.

My colleagues and I dined at this restaurant on a recent trip to Slippery Rock. The food is amazing, especially the fried wantons and tamarind chicken. It was quite busy on the night we visited but we were seated rather quickly and didn’t have a long wait for our food. The restaurant is quite interesting and a little over the top but in a good way - a little like the owner (smile). She made a point to visit each table to make sure that guests were enjoying their meals. I’d definitely eat here again if I’m ever back in Slippery Rock.

Great service and food. Much better than ginger hill tavern which we waited forever for everything. I will definitely come back here and recommend to all my friends.

A great Thai place in Slippery Rock! Some of the best massaman curry we've had! Nina will take great care of you. She was very helpful, and knowledgeable about gluten free options. Bubble tea if you like it, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Haven't been able to find a Thai restaurant since I moved back to the area from Seattle. Just as good or better than any place I ate on the west coast. The green curry was fantastic! Thanks for the great lunch!

I had the pineapple fried rice and loved it!! The staff were very friendly and attentive. They have a menu with pictures if you have never tried Thai food so don’t be afraid to stop by and check it out!

I ordered the Chicken Pho with Jasmine Tea. Lets talk about the meal! Tea Time!🍵(Slips Tea). It was wonderful the broth was so rich and robust full of different flavors that just complement eachother perfectly! The noodles soft but tender absorbing all the rich flavor of the broth the green onion (or scallions) add a wonder crunch to the dish! The chicken cooked wonderfully enhancing the flavors. You cannot go wrong going to elephant! Also the restaurant has my favorite color Orange! Beautifully decorated and a wonderful owner by the name of Narintra aka Nina! Keep up the good work beautiful! And that jasmine tea just great this is a perfect meal for anytime of day and season i love it the most on rainy days and if your sick the best way to help your immune system fight back! Enjoy!

Friendly staff. I've had both the Lava Chicken and the Pineapple Curry with shrimp/chicken and it was amazing! The Pineapple Curry with shrimp/chicken is my favorite so far, its the perfect comfort meal on a cold day. So much flavor! I also had bubble tea for the first time here, it is a sweet treat. The food tastes fresh, but it comes out REALLY hot, no complaints there, just be careful not to burn your tongue! haha! I cant wait to try more of the menu.

Nina (owner) and her staff were amazing! They were amazing with our kiddo and she even came to our table to see what she could do to make our visit easier! She walked us through the entire menu to let us know what we would like! They even handled my gluten allergy so well!!
