We are serving authentic Thai food
Interesting experience at this place. We've been looking for great Thai food in the South of Pittsburgh, and unfortunately, we will continue to be searching for it because this was not it. Not that this place is bad. It's just average. And, there were several missteps on the part of the restaurant that were just odd.
We were a group of six and ordered appetizers and entrees which we shared. The Appetizers came out one at a time with significant gaps in time between them. Same thing happened with our entrees so that we finished some of the dishes before everything was delivered. I believe this was a pacing problem in the kitchen as we saw the two waiters delivering food to other tables while we were waiting for ours.
As to the food itself. It was OK. Nothing was bad, but nothing was extraordinarily good either. We had different spice level desires and we noted inconsistencies there. A dish that was supposed to be at spice level 5 was significantly hotter than the one that was supposed to be a 7. The Curries were OK, but again, not too special.
The staff was helpful and "Tom" tried to make the experience more interesting by cracking jokes constantly. We were amused by his antics and enjoyed them. Others may not.
So, overall, a pretty average experience.
Ordered takeout and could not have been more disappointed. The portion size was small for the price. Got the Thai basil fried rice and not one shred of basil to be found, the noodles were 18.99 for a small container that was not even full. Not to mention the small cup of Tom Kha for with tofu for $11.00 and was overpowered with fish sauce which made it salty. Didn’t blow me away. There are better options at way better prices.
A nice and popular Thai spot in Pittsburgh. The food is definitely high quality and quite flavorful. They have some very cool (but also a tad expensive) specials, but I stuck to ordering what I like. I tried the pad see ew with tofu and the Thai spring rolls.
The pad see ew with tofu was pretty good. They give you a good portion for a very reasonable price. It is quite heavy on the noodles (not as much vegetables, tofu, or egg). The noodles were cooked really well and the sauce was delicious, but I do wish they had vegetables other than just broccoli.
The spring rolls were pretty good, too. They again give a great portion. However, there’s nothing too special about them. A nice, flavorful sauce on the side, and crispy rolls (they weren’t stuffed with much though). Decently good.
All in all, a very solid Thai spot. I’d perhaps come back to try some of the specials, and the items I had were reasonably good.
Excellent food! Good service! Great ambiance!
I ordered the seven wonders drink; didn't know thai tea could pair so well with vodka. Their special dish of the day, Khao soy with braised short ribs, exceeded expectations. The rich flavors within the meat complemented the creaminess of the soup. The pad thai was authentic. Crispy Pork belly was very well seasoned, and spice level 9 was perfect for me (I love spicy!). Customer service was great; though one of the servers kept bringing the wrong food to our table. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would visit again.
This restaurant is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Pittsburgh. Being vegetarians, it can be difficult to find food that we can eat, and the food here is vegan friendly (always a plus). The staff here are super accommodating and friendly. Both the owner and our server, Tom, were incredibly funny, cheery, and definitely made us want to come back.
We just found The Dancing Crab today and I'm impressed. I really love Thai and I was excited to try someplace new. All 4 of us were very happy with our meals, cooked fresh, perfectly spiced, good portions! The drinks were also tasty and creative.
The friendy and talented bartender, and the cook, managed to take good care of us, but they were the only staff. It was busy but they kept up. A waitress would improve the experience.
We will be back!
Delicious curry. Eggplant basil was excellent. Rice is served in a heart shape. Friendly and efficient service.
The food was great and the service was wonderful!
Yesterday my mother grab me and here take out order and she waited inside to be assisted and the guy working there ignored her. She stood for 15 minutes and he helped everyone but her. She called me as asked me to call and see if our order was ready and they guy said it was and that mom probably didn’t know which order was hers, he lied to me because my mom stated that he went to the back to grab our order after I got off the phone with him and told her she was waiting inside the store for 15 minutes without him greeting her. So our order was out in site for her to grab because it was in the kitchen, I’m making this review due to racial discrimination. The greeter was a white man and mom is a black women and he ignored her due to that and didn’t even once try to assist her I had to call the store and ask if my food was ready and tell him my mom was standing there for 15 minutes with 0 assistants. And my mother stated other customers being waited on couldn’t believe that he ignored mother and didn’t greet her. We will NEVER dine at this establishment again
if you want to waist your time and speak with rude workers absolute can go here, not recommended
The bartender was rude, unprofessional, and made us feel unwelcome, completely ruining the experience.
I had a terrible experience here—service was slow, and the staff seemed uninterested in helping. The food was bland and overpriced, definitely not worth the money.
Love the drunken noodles 🍜🍜🍜

Wow!!! The food is amazing!!! And the customer service is so good!!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!! We drive almost 45 minutes each way just to come here!!
Came here with friends for a lunch date today. Our server was amazing and friendly. The food was presented in a beautiful, artistic way, and tasted fantastic. We also had a chance to meet the owner and she was very sweet. 10/10 Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Stop taking new orders when overloaded. You make both customers and drivers unhappy.
Update: 11 months on and it's still one of our go to restaurants. Food, cocktails, and staff are all fantastic
Have only had carry out but it's been great each time. The inside is very nice and the bartenders are super friendly while waiting for orders.
Always very consistent. Amazing food, amazing service. It feels like a family atmosphere and you can tell they care about what they do. Even fresh flowers on the table every time I’ve gone.
Foods pretty good but the service has been bad the last 3 times I went. Too many Thai options for such slow service.
The spicy basil is phenomenal. I can't wait to eat it again.
Just happened upon Dancing crab Thai Sat right down and ordered Spicy basil over rice and egg with fried tofu as the appetizer. Both came quickly
The tofu was nice and crispy perfect texture. Had dipping sauce that complemented perfectly. The basil rice was just as I remembered tasty spicy as I asked for delicious and filling Nice friendly staff. Get your Thai on here!
Dropped in for Sunday brunch, which was our first good decision. Great athentic food with a lovely gentleness, great atmosphere with good service, need I say anymore....
Wonderful place! The food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond. I will definitely eat here again the next time I am in the area.
Food is great however.
Good luck making a carry out order.
They hang up on you.
put you on hold long enough you give up and hang up.
It can't take 35 minutes to prepare a meal. Are you cooking it by watching it on YouTube?
Loved it! Everything we had was delicious, especially the Thai tea.

Best Thai food in town. Strongly recommend it
💯👍
Food is outstanding and my wife and I are huge Thai fans so it can sometimes be hard to please. Portions were generous but not too much to eat. The balance of flavors on my roasted duck Pad Thai was chef's 😘. Also, their soundtrack was a 100% perfect for a lunch with my best friend.
Anytime we are near Dormont we will be coming back.
Delicious food. Love the shrimp appetizer. Red curry noodles with chicken or shrimp are my favorites. Nice variety of beers and specialty cocktails. Everything is flavorful. Love the atmosphere! 👌 😍
Bartender was amazing at making suggestions and his drinks were perfect. The bartender made several suggestions and the Pot stickets and Dancing shrimp was some of the best we have ever had..and the place has great prices in addition to quality food and service at their beautiful bar.
Will definitely be back.
I give 5 stars because of the bartender Michael. He’s amazing!!
Tonight we ordered from the Special Menu and it was delicious. We came to meet a friend, sat at the bar and Michael made the night so special. We ordered some delicious drinks and had Short Ribs and Pork Belly. Definitely recommend.
If you do take out I also recommend the Fried Pineapple Rice and crab rangoons.
Great experience dining in. Like to order off website too.
Great noodle dishes and tea/boba options! Food quality is always great. Service is personal with recommendations.
The meal is always amazing but what really makes the experience is when we have the chance to sit at the bar and be served by Micheal. He’s essentially acting as the entire front of house; host, bartender & barback as he is also literally running dishes as he manages delivery services. He rocks!
everything salty. pineapple fried rice was below par. snapper was tough, small portions, and musty. seafood skillet was fishy and no good. mango salad was super salty and the chicken in it was rubbery. waiter forgot a drink my dad ordered and never got it. Old italian music blasting which was really weird. wouldn’t recommend.
First time here and won't be the last. Loved it!!!
Placed an order for carry out and was told that it won’t be available for 3 hours. Insane to even take orders at that point.

Food is great, I think it’s one of the best Thai restaurants in Pittsburgh! But the portion of food has been reducing compared to the price every time I get takeout from here (which is quite often). I ordered red curry with chicken this time, and found only 4 pieces of chicken in it. Even the quantity of the rice was less.
I like visiting Dancing Crab but this would make it harder for me to eat here that often.
We ordered delivery from this place through Uber Eats. Everything came hot but the food is not good. The only good thing we had was the crab fried rice. The spring rolls were some of the worse I’ve had. The crab Rangoon is just ok. And the 2 curry dishes we had were very mediocre with barely any meat in them. Will not order or eat here again.
Great food and service. Everything we got here was wonderful (Thai tea, short rib curry, tom kha).
Was recommended by a friend and lived up to expectations! Service was outstanding and the food is amazing. Highly recommended!
Service was fast and friendly. Food was excellent and you can choose the spice level 1-10 which I found very considerate. 10/10 would go again
Michael is the best bartender in town. His customer service is second to none. The pineapple fried rice is always delicious. Get the spice level 10 if you’re not a coward!!!!
Placed an order, order accepted, we went all the way there and said they weren’t making it cause they closed (for their break). Told us to resolve it with the app provider when we placed the order appropriately.
We got a notice it was ready for pick up. Was our favorite place in Pittsburgh but with how we were treated.. disgusting.
Was seated but no one came to my table to offer me even water. Waited 8 minutes then left.
Better half had lunch with her friend...
I am happy to say I got the left overs. Great job to the cooks in the kitchen!
🤮
Service was a little slow. Didn't even get acknowledged when we first walked in, no signs to tell you if to wait to be seated or not so it felt awkward. The space itself is adorable and nicely laid out and decorated though. Took a bit of time to get our waiter every so often; seemed distracted. Food however was absolutely delicious! We'll probably be back the next time we're craving Thai.
We love this place. Friendly service. Huge portions. Deliscious food!
Once again we had a lovely meal at Dancing Crab! What makes it so special is the staff. Michael, thanks again for making the very best negronis for us!
I would say it's one of my 2 favorite Thai restaurants in Pittsburgh so far. Portions were large and definitely flavorful. We stuck to the basics for our first visit. Crab Rangoon, Chicken Pad Thai, and Green Curry. All were delicious. Next time, we will stray from our norm. Worth a try for sure.
Food is delicious here! On the pricey side but the flavors will have us coming back!
Service is good. The food is very salty and the portion is very small.
The most amazing Thai I've had since I moved to Pittsburgh!!!
So charming and comfortable in here. The counters at the bar light up like stars. Smells good, taste good. Yum
Michael is my favorite bartender in the city , food is so amazing every time. Get the duck curry
One of my favorite go-to spots. Food, cocktails, and staff are all consistently amazing.
The staff is fantastic and the food is great.
The best Thai place in the South hills bar none. Very friendly staff. Great service and the only place I found that will make really spicy food if you ask.
Michael the bartender at Dancing Crab is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, his warm smile and welcoming demeanor set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Not only does he craft exquisite cocktails with precision and flair, but he also takes the time to engage with customers, making them feel like old friends. His knowledge of the menu is unparalleled, offering insightful recommendations that perfectly complemented our meal. Michael's passion for mixology shines through in every drink he creates, and his dedication to customer satisfaction is truly commendable. Without a doubt, he is a standout among bartenders, elevating the dining experience at Dancing Crab to unforgettable heights. If you're looking for impeccable service and unforgettable drinks, look no further than Michael at Dancing Crab.
Michael is an exceptional bartender and a key reason why we frequent Dancing Crab. Despite any potential wait times, we consistently choose this establishment over others in Pittsburgh. Our recent visit we spent approximately 4 hours at the bar, solely due to the exceptional company and service provided. Michael's remarkable ability to remember our preferences, from drink choices to food orders, truly sets him apart. The outstanding service is complemented by the exceptional quality of the food. We highly recommend this establishment and promise it’s worth it!!!!
First review I have ever left. We ordered food at 5:00 and it was not ready at 7:45. We talked to the manager and he said they were cancelling the order because they had 100 orders and they could not get to ours. It was one of the most bizarre experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. We wanted to try something different than Jade Grille but will not make that mistake again.
Busy Saturday night...despite not having a reservation, the bartender greeted us warmly and, within a few minutes, we were seated. The restaurant has a fun vibe, enhanced by the great music being played! Our drinks, appetizers and entrees were excellent. Service was great. We look forward to going back (a lot!)
We loved the food.
A little loud for my ADHD self, despite going when only half the tables were occupied.
The food was fantastic and the service was top tier. Will be thrilled to return on days where I am not struggling with sensory overload.
This is a fantastic place to get Thai food in Pittsburgh. Staff are always nice and friendly. Food is so bomb I can’t.
Probably the best place I’ve ever been ever! Mike is the best bartender and the food was absolutely stunning. Will be coming back with the kids next time!!!!!
Was there for my 40th birthday this evening and we didn’t receive any drinks which was a huge disappointment. Food was good but not enough to take home any leftovers. Our server didn’t check on our table and we had to literally grab his arm as he was walking passed for the check. I probably won’t be back.
Love this Dormont location! Amazing drinks, delicious apps and the absolute best Thai food you can find in Pittsburgh. We come here all of the time because our whole family loves it. Try the drunken noodles or the pad sew ew, those are our two favorites. We also love the Koa Soi dish with crispy chicken - insane flavor.
Also the mango sticky rice for dessert
This restaurant does not know how to handle business. Food is okay but service is awful. If you place an order it takes an hour to finish, the bar tender is handling drinks, takeout orders, Uber drivers and finding seating for people waiting at the bar. It’s not worth it the service is bad, and there are other Thai food places with better food and service. Awful if I can give them no stars I would.
Decent quality, only complaint is that it's overpriced for what you get. Portions are small and you're skimped on your choice of meat. I'll be ordering elsewhere.
Dancing crab is the best value fancy date night feel restaurant in Pittsburgh. The food is great and fast, the drinks are good and beautifully presented and the atmosphere is the best.
Best Thai food in Pittsburgh
Best Thai food I’ve had in the United States!
Staff was super friendly. Plenty of gluten free options. Food was good and reasonably priced. Easy online ordering.
Food is great, service is fine. Note that you will get charged gratuity 18% by default even though we were only party of 3, watch out while paying tip.
Love their drunken noodles, basil fried rice and pad Thai!
Employees are all kind and attentive! What a lovely restaurant to have in my neighborhood :) Very glad they built a location that is in walking distance from me.
Delicious noodles and fun drinks - big hit!
The "Come on Eileen" cocktail is soooo tasty. Best Crab Rangoon around. Tom Kha is well balanced. Love their Green Curry. The owner/chef is very sweet. Service is great. Ambiance is cozy and intimate. More upscale than a typical thai place. This is a spot for an ever day meal or a more special occasion. They also have a few areas that are good for a larger group.
Very pleasant booth experience. Food was good. Service was good as well.
Food is a little expensive..1 order..Shrimp Fried Rice & Steamed Dumplings $30 Total
Enjoyed great shrimp dish. You can select the level of spice from 1 to 10.
I am comparing this place to noodlehead which I consider is the gold standard for Thai food (until I find a better place). The portions were larger and the food was almost equally good but not quite there yet. They have a wider range of spice levels (1-10). The service is great but at the end they kept giving us subtle signs to leave and the music in the place suddenly got louder (not sure if this is intentional). The place is nice and the price is good but more expensive than noodlehead. They have a card option tho which is always taken for granted until you go somewhere that is cash only.
The food was delicious. The drinks were well made. The experience was great.
Authentic Thai was perfectly cooked; spicy, fresh. Tofu was crisp. Specialty cocktails were exactly what one wishes for a dinner out. Atmosphere quaint, cozy, nestled and perfect for a peaceful yet bustling evening.
Absolutely authentic wonderful food and service....beyond our expectations. Rib special is the owner's mothers recipe. Grilled seafood with curry veggie sauce scrumptious. We will be back soon. This place is a hidden Gem.
Everything is delicious, but my favorites are the homemade steamed dumplings, drunken lo mein, and khao soi with crispy chicken. The bartenders choice cocktail never disappoints and the pad thai is the best in the city if you ask me.
Showing attitude to the delivery😏
We love super spicy food. Our food was made the way it should be, thai spicy. And, it was so nice when the chef came to our table to make sure our food was made the way we like it. Grade A+ in my book!
Excellent pad thai with tofu. Wife got drunken noodles with duck, which was also very good. Will definitely be back soon
Attentive service. Beyond flavorful dishes. Reasonably priced. The menu items offered a variety of distinct curry entrees.
I've been here three times already. It's affordable. Absolutely delicious. Crab Rangoon is the best I've ever had.
Beautiful presentation, everything was good…will be frequenting
Best pad Thai in the Burgh!
Great food, quaint atmosphere, great service. Very solid Thai food.
I really enjoyed my dinner experience! The Dancing Crab is super cute when you walk in. The cocktails were yummy (I had the basil mule). The food was delicious. I highly suggest the crab rangoons and the pulled pork buns as appetizers. My Drunken Noodles with chicken were cooked to perfection and super flavorful. I love some spice so a 9 was perfect, but they would be delicious at any spice level. My fiancé had the Pad See EW and it had an amazing rich flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes! Cheers
Just about the best yellow curry I have ever had in my life. Layers of flavor. Just out of this world!
We ordered take out so that we didn’t have to deal with grub hub…an hour later we go to get it not ready. We were charged for extra sauce but told they “didn’t have sauces” and gave us aome chili flakes. The green curry dowsed in fish sauce filled with bagged frozen veggies you use for an injury…not delightful! The Pad See Ew, ewww straight to the trash, dowsed again in fish sauce, sauce was off by several degrees, and the tiniest sliver of old cheese cake that smelled like dirty fridge! Never AGAIN!
Got a table for two quickly, and efficient service despite a dinner rush. Enjoyed my duck curry very much.
The food was good and the service was good. There was only one server at the time, but we never waited long for anything.
Probably the best Thai food Ive ever had, highly recommend massaman curry and dancing shrimp.
The eggplant was hard and white inside. She said oh you want it well done? Lol. They cooked it again but it was still not tender. Portions are small. 4 potstickers for 6 bucks. Overall I won't come back. Atmosphere is lovely.
The Pad Thai with shrimp was a hearty portion and spot on for my taste. Steamed dumplings are some of the best I've had in the area. Service was a 4 only because my guest received her meal and was almost done eating by the time my plate arrived. Our server, though, was very good with her suggestions for first-timers. Pretty chill vibe for the atmosphere but lost a point with the overhead music being some classic pop rock station.
Absolutely going back and could be a 5 star.
I’ve been here a few times and I’ll say they have the best curry I’ve ever eaten! I am a spicy lover and they hit the spice level pretty spot on! I always get the Thai tea to go and it’s refreshing and best thing to end it with after a meal. The staff is are very nice and patient as well. Will be trying many other dishes here!
First time ordered take-out, one drunken noodle and one drunken lomein were good in general, but seafood noodles were salty and spice levels were mixed up. (We wanted one 5* and the other 7*, but the supposedly 5* was much spicier than the other noodles. Tom yam soup and dumplings were excellent.
Would never go here again the bartender was so rude to customers that were picking up their orders my family just looked in disbelief how terrible
Dancing Crab has fantastic fresh rolls, wide rice noodles, and friendly service. This is one of the few Thai spots that knows how to make it truly spicy and has no fear scorching you! 10 truly means 'find out if you dare'
Very good food. Nice vibe. Decent prices.
I will be back often.
Yummy food. Loved the Drunken noodles
Amazing food amazing appetizers very delicious. I enjoyed the drunken noodle and steamed dumplings. It was spot on.
Good Thai, very friendly staff, unfortunately there was a strong smell of urine? I’m not sure what was going on?
The resturant itself is beautiful. The food is always good. The seafood taste fresh and the recipes are super tasteful. The cocktails are also very good. A nice place to step outside the box and try something new since it's going to taste good anyway.
Great tasting Thai food! Have eaten here several times. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. Give them a try! Parking a little tough on West Liberty sometimes but worth the walk...
The food was amazing. Avoid alcoholic beverages as they cost as much as your entree, which is why I knocked off a star. If the drinks were more reasonable I would have given a higher rating
Place was so good that I forgot to take picture. I had the duck on a #3 scale of spiciness. It runs from 1-10 but I think #3 is just perfect to taste the flavors. Just check your bill. I had one beer and got charge for 2. The food was good I assume the bill was good too but I was wrong. Check your bill
We liked the food. I would go back.
Closed when they said open.
Tried it on a whim. So glad I did. I’ve tried every curry and all of them are 5 stars in my eyes. Plus the appetizers are fantastic.
Service was good and helpful.
Would always recommend.
The Basil fried rice with chicken or shrimp and the Crab Rangoon’s are the very best! I highly recommend dining in (the service was incredible) or getting food delivered via Uber Eats. We made a reservation when we dined in with a big group and had no wait. The fact that it is BYOB makes it even better!
Incredible service and staff. Was rice noodle heavy compared to the amount of chicken and broccoli. The spice level is nice, uses 0-10 level, I usually get 2-3/5 but got 3 as suggested and needed slightly more. The Crab Rangoon was the creamiest I've ever had and not sure how I feel about that yet. 4/5 stars for now, would go back to fully judge if I'm in the area.
Unable to fulfill door dash and grub hub orders, but they still take them. They turned me away saying they just weren't taking the orders, they "had no idea what was going on in the kitchen", and this was after I waited nearly 30 minutes. Several in store customers were asking what was going on. Either the whole staff quit or it's poor management, or likely both.
Food was great but they were under staffed & surprised by nig parties so our check was wrong
Food was excellent staff was amazing. Definitely will come back again. Drunken lo mein was outstanding. Steamed dumplings where excellent
I had Koa Soy (egg noodles in coconut soup). It was rich and flavorful. I will definitely come back again and try other dishes.
Authentic Thai. Taste wonderful.
We got the dancing shrimp, red duck curry, and squid drunken noodles. The curry was so creamy and delicious and all of the food was decently spicy despite being a 7/10, which is relieving since most places rarely use enough spice. They also have a great cocktail list with a spicy margarita. Highly recommend!
The place is very quaint and personable love the interior. Food was excellent. Everything the waitress recommended was superb. will definitely be back to enjoy this place. The owner and chef even came out and introduced herself , very pleasant.
I go here a lot with my bf as we live around the corner. I love the chef she is amazing and my food is always great. But the lady at the front who always has her hair up in a bun she was so incredibly rude to my boyfriend tonight and argued with him over an order saying it wasn’t his when it was and didn’t even apologize. Usually we have good service and we always tip well. She was even rude to me on the phone when trying to place an order. I called at 9:20 with a simple order of like two entrees and an appetizer. It’s not like I called at 9:45 while they were mopping or something. If you want to close at 9:30 maybe change your hours or something. So freaking rude, I don’t even know if we can come back after that because I’m so mad I wouldn’t be able to not say anything to her face.
Tonight was the only night we refused to tip. You’re not gonna be rude then expect anything out of me. My god.
Update: this was resolved and spoke with the owner she handles everything perfectly and gave us a discount out of courtesy.
Had dinner there last Sunday and it was really good. Party of three around 5:00 PM and there was no problem getting a table. The place was pleasantly filled, but not loud or crowded. We asked the host for suggestions, which he gave enthusiastically. Not just cookie cutter suggestions, but ones that he truly seemed to enjoy. Started with the shrimp tempura with fried noodles. Perfect starter. Then had a curry, pad thai noodles and basil chicken. All were so good and so well flavored that it was a pleasure to eat them. Definitely going back again. Service was good and friendly. Parking could be difficult as there is not an off-street lot, but we parked across the street at a business that was closed. Well worth the trip.
There’s a women who works here. She always has a bandana around her head and dreadlocks. She is one of rudest human beings I have ever met. Never going back here. I do not care how good the food can be.
Ever rarely do I feel compelled to leave a review, and yet there are those very few instances that the food, the drinks, and the overall experience stand so far out from others that I take to google to review a place (we’re talking maybe three, four times- tops). The Dancing Crab outshines most. I’ve happened into most Thai places in the south hills and downtown Pittsburgh. Without a sliver of a doubt I can assure you that the dancing crab is the best! We ordered plenty of appetizers (none disappointed; the dancing shrimp and pork buns were phenomenal). My husband got the panang curry; and repeatedly mentioned mid meal how amazing it was (sometimes with an inaudible noise that could only translate to the quality and the taste of what he was eating… if not for a mouthful of curry). I got the drunken Lo mein. All I can say; despite being full, I contemplated ordering more. On top of the great food, cozy yet dapper ambience, and solid spice scale, the bartender is top notch and can make a mean cocktail— be sure to ask what he’s got cooking up in his little black recipe book and you’ll be sure to have some secret off the menu refreshment that will accompany the amazing food without being overshadowed. To conclude a lengthy review: go to the Dancing Crab. It is unbelievable.
Food was fresh and delicious. They offer the option to pick your heat level. Service was good too.
Went to Dancing Crab in Dormont for my moms birthday. Had the worst disrespectful service I’ve ever witnessed. The food was good but the way we were treated was disgraceful. First they brought us the wrong food then my asthma was flaring up so I was coughing and someone had the audacity to come over and ask if we were vaccinated. 1) the vaccine doesn’t work my parents are fully vaccinated and have had it both twice. 2) I’ve had covid three times and fully quarantined all three times because I have a heart even though I was accused of not having one 3) had I told them I have a medical exemption I probably would have been kicked out of the restaurant. They then decided to only at our table wear masks and gloves which again don’t work treating us like parasites. They then added a mandatory gratuity onto our tab for three people. My family always tips well so again this was an insult. I also asked if they could hold the cake I brought in the back as a surprise and bring it out as a surprise, they asked my mom if she was ready for cake literally ruining the surprise. We then asked if they wanted left over cake to be nice and they refused making it a point to again point out that no they will not be taking our germy cake and also refused to take the menu until we were done and wore gloves to buss our table. I have never witnessed poorer treatment in my life.
Great food and service! Best dumplings!!
