Pacific Rim Thai kitchen
Updated: spoke to the owner. He was very understanding and accommodating. He explained that the saltines was from the fish sauce that they’re using, and that may differ from my usual palate. He also offered a substitute and I picked Honey Chicken which is the popular item here. The honey chicken was very delicious and definitely worth coming back for.
First time trying out food at Kapow and I ordered Drunken Noodles as recommended by the cashier (for $14, it doesn’t come with any protein, just a little bit of veggies). All I can taste is salt, not even the spiciness or other spices.
I'm here for the first time today. The atmosphere and service were great. A very nice Pacific islander vibe to it. I ordered Pad Thai and a Kapow Roll. The roll was very tasty, loaded with flavors, and HUGE! As for the Pad Thai, It was pretty dry but the flavors were there. The Pad Thai being dry kind of made my rating drop from 5 to 4. If the noodles weren't so dry, this would be my go to place.
I had the fried rice with chicken, horrible, it was very dry and seems like burned. Not a good flavor. I also had the kapow roll, and it was soaking wet, i understand is fried… but still, this was too much…seems that they don’t change their oil often, the smell or the roll was not good. I did not finish the food. The quantity is enough for 2 people, but the quality of the food is pretty bad.
Judge for the pics, but you will not be pleased eating here.
Got food from their food truck and it was disappointing. I got the general kapow chicken lo mein bowl. The chicken tasted good. They were like chicken nuggets tossed in a sauce. The lo mein was the most disappointing part, it was plain boiled noodles with a layer of the general tso sauce placed on top. I wouldn't call this lo mein.
Kapow is the best! The Chef greets you with a smile every time! By far the best Thai we've had. It's worth the 1 hour and 15 minutes drive.
I am obsessed with Kapow Kitchen. My boyfriend and I come here almost every weekend since we discovered it 😂 It’s downstairs on the lower level, so don’t miss it. They have tons of vegetarian options, and they really don’t mess around when it comes to spice. I usually order the drunken noodles, but this time I switched it up and ordered the Seoul Bowl (pictured). The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend going out of your way to give it a try.

Excellent hidden gem in the farmers market. Great food , service and people . highly recommended.

Food was absolutely amazing!
Amazing food and people. Kapow roll is unbelievable packed with flavor. The kpop tacos are game changing. If you like heat they can make it real hot. A destination spot for sure.
My burger had a white substance in it I did not order, best meal ive ever had.
My first time ever eating Thai food I had Pad Thai n my protein was chicken n it was awesome. The young lady that took my order was very professional and answered all my questions. I will definitely be back
Heard great things about their food and decided to give it a try and was not disappointed! I love Pad Thai. Ordered Pad Thai with chicken and it was fantastic! Hopefully their other dishes are just as good. Will definitely go back!
Best food in booth’s corner hands down… amazing staff amazing food!

🔥 it's legit
Finally found some amazing Thai food in our area!! This is authentic Thai food can’t wait to go back
Food was delicious as always. Shrimp fried rice, Honey Chicken, dumplings, crab wontons, the soups.... you can't go wrong with whatever they have. Brought friends from out of town... everyone loved their food.
One of my favorite places to get food, good prices and even better food
For how small this little food spot tucked away in a corner, everything was great food is delicious and service was delightful 😊 can’t wait to come back
Just got a few things today to try this place. Got the vegetable spring rolls and shrimp dumplings. The spring rolls tasted like and looked like an chopped up onion. Not good. Dumplings also had an odd flavor and were not good. Was really looking forward to a good spring roll. Disappointed
Usually, my food is fantastic but not so much today. The curry was absent of most vegetables. Luckily, the curry itself was delicious as always. I think the cook was new as I went at the end of the day. However, I loved the dumpling soup!!
Update/response to owner: 1. I didnt compare it to jalapeños. I cited several examples of food I like which have heat. Second, I don't care if it's a sauce, powder, or voodoo. The heat was very uneven. That "take it or leave it" would be understandable if your slop was halfway decent. You cant read, cook, and have a poor attitude. Good luck with life.
Original review, unedited:
We had pad thai with 2/5 heat level and lemon grass and pho at 4/5. First, the noodles weren't even in heat. One bite would be ok and another extremely hot. This is per the guy who wanted 4/5 for the soups, and the lady who wanted 2/5 couldn't even eat her lunch. Even I thought parts of it was way too hot. Neither soups had any meat. I would chalk that up to "forgot" but...see my last sentence in my review.
The lemongrass soup was fine at 4/5 but the pho was extremely hot...not edible. I'm used to jalapeños in pho, authentic spicy Indian food and hot salsas from Mexican food. I'm no stranger to heat, but this was absurd. This to me seemed like either carelessness or poor quality control. Call it what you want, I won't be back. We love Thai food, even when it's greasy as it can be, but no thanks. Looking at all the childish, petty replies to negative reviews the owner shamelessly spews, its a wonder even in this culinary desert how he makes a profit.
LOVE LOVE it. Got the Sunset tacos and the pineapple iced tea. Shrimp cooked perfectly, the coleslaw gave just the perfect crunch to the tacos. Food truck Wednesday at Rodney Sq are now my favorite days at the office.
The Kapow roll was fabulous. Sadly, they were out of all of their teas.
Been going here for years !!
Always awesome!!
Get some of that pineapple tea !!
Level 1 for me
I'm here for the first time today. The atmosphere and service were great. A very nice Pacific islander vibe to it. I ordered Pad Thai and a Kapow Roll. One of my favorite places!
Food was good. Service was ok.
Fresh, flavorful and delicious! Good portions for the price and the menu has a lot of variety. Interesting fusion of Thai and Hawaiian, unique compared to other Asian restaurants in the area. A whole bubble tea menu also which is cool. The owner chef is friendly and has great customer service. Definitely my go to place on the weekends for a good, quick dinner!
Food is excellent. Service is great. Be careful of which spice level you order because it gets insanely hot. Definitely a favourite of mine.
Food was amazing. When you ask for spicy, it is spicy!
Awesome food and the workers/owner are very cool. Nice different level of spices too!
Overpriced for rice and noodle. Order a pho with extra noodle for 3 dollars extra, not enough for my 8 years old daughter, thats how small the portion are. Have a rice bowl, then the rice have to go into the bowl, we just really dont like the rice soak all the sauce, we ask the rice on the side, but they cant do it. Ordered a 3 dollars extra rice which sound expensive to me for a take out place, the amount 3 dollars buy you is around 2 oz. A normal person will need 6 dollars of rice to be enough. I guess their rice and noodle are made from rare earth.
The food is amazing. I’m just mad I have to wait for the weekend to eat here. Do you have any other locations?
Just ate here with my friend. I had ordered the Teriyaki Noodles with shrimp and a heat level of Habenaro. I really enjoyed the flavor of Teriyaki mix with spice. My friend had the Duck tacos which were great. The duck was cooked tenderly and juicy. On top of all these we also ordered the Thai Guy Wings and was amazed by the size of the wings. Extremely juicy and I ended up burning my mouth cause they were fresh but I continued chowing down. To wash down all this food we recommend the pineapple Tea.
I ordered panang curry bowl. The bowl doesn't have much veggie and meat so it look watery like soup. The taste are just plain. The spiciness are just right the way you order it. Rice are okay.
Man!! Everything they make is delicious! You can't go wrong with a good meal here at all and the nice sized portions #deliciousfood #Thaifood
Kapow Kitchen is a new favorite of mine. I have come here twice so far and both times, I was extremely impressed. I got the Honey Chicken with a spice level of 5 and it was incredible. The vegetable spring rolls are also delicious! And the service is outstanding. Everyone there is so kind. I highly recommend this place!
One of our favorites. We order from Kapow probably 2-3 times per month and it’s always excellent.
Everything I’ve gotten at Kapow has been awesome. The Pad Thai is some of the best I’ve found in Delaware. The wings are killers. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for good Thai food
We waited 40 minutes for 3 drinks ($15.00). We didn’t even order food.
Their boba is also not your typical milk tea boba, it’s just flavored milk, it was alittle odd.
Edit: You’re obnoxious response will do more damage to your business then anything I could ever post. A reasonable, concerned business owner would just ask vs. calling people names. This isn’t middle school, but ok. It’s actually hilarious that you think anyone owes you anything!! Lol!!
Boba is most definitely made with milk and Tea. I don’t know how you can sell a item and not know how to make it?? so you’re welcome
Kapow is definitely one of the more expensive food vendors in Booth's Corner, but they do not disappoint! This is about a half hour from my home, and I would make the trip for this next time there is a craving for Asian fusion. Fresh food and great flavor! The heat index makes it easy to choose even though my partner wishes they could go even spicier. Also, love the tea selection and the fact that they have popping bobba which is much better than traditional tapioca in my opinion.
Do not forget to look to your left while at the register for the day's specials.
Next time, I will eat in and play some TMNT to get the full experience!
Delicious pan-Asian food specializing in Thai.
Their Tom Yum soup is amazing, do NOT miss it! They have lots of vegetarian options and can really turn up the heat if you want spicy food, or they can prepare it with very little kick if that's not your thing. Their awesome Thai iced tea is great for walking around the farmers market with.
You can sit at the bar and watch some cool TV shows and movies while you eat, and they have a great separate space with video games and more seating. It's great for playing card games or reading comics you picked up from EE Comics and Games just a few steps away around the corner.
I met them first at their lunch truck that worked at a local food truck festival. The owner is so friendly and loves to talk about comics, movies, TV, sports, games, or anything. If you have any problems with your order, they always want to make things right.
The food is delicious.
Love stopping here when we go to Booth's Corner. Fresh, inventive and delicious.
Overly pricey and they serve the same food the Chinese store serve. This place needs a kapow 👊
I had the fried rice with chicken, horrible, it was very dry and seems like burned. Not a good flavor. I also had the kapow roll, and it was soaking wet, i understand is fried… but still, this was too much…seems that they don’t change their oil often, the smell or the roll was not good. Good food.
Very friendly and great food
Decent food for decent price. Tofu and chicken were a tad overdone but rice and noodles were good.
First time eating there. I had the panang curry bowl with chicken and kapow roll. It was amazing. It had me to the point where I wanted to go streaking!! I will definitely eat there again!! I’ll make sure I layer up incase I get that urge again to streak.
The best food I have ever had. I have never ordered something that I did not love. Also thw owner/head cheif is an awesome guy. Super friendly and good food.
Super Awesome cuisine! I was hooked from my first order. Chef Wit and the entire staff is great.
Yummy food and drinks
The meal which consisted of a Kapow Roll, drunken noodles and a vietnamese iced coffee was top notch as usual. ❤️
The experience with the owner/staff is always good. The kapow rolls are a consistent hit. not sure if it’s bc we got two double orders, but the chicken in the honey chicken for both orders was cooked way too hard in the over cooked way. the noodles for the pad see ew were way too soft in the over cooked way. both had flavor, so it was frustrating to not finish. i think there were just rushing, but if i drove 30 minutes to spend 60+ that’s no excuse. a lot of potential with this place!
Wit, your food is outstanding! So is your humor!
Awesome food really flavorful....My first time there the other day I ordered a kapaw roll an they forgot the sauce but it was still good, I got a noodle dish was amazing.. I will be back for sure.
Best Thai food around!!!!
The food here is amazing. I have been getting Thai food from Chef Wit for many years, at the Wilmington Market, Ubon, and Kapow Kitchen. I have been getting food here once a week since having to WFH last year in March. Everything is great, I am working on trying everything on the menu, and can say everything is terrific. Some of my favorites are Seoul, Huli Huli, and the Drunken Noodle. The Kimchi is the best! Seriously the best!
This was my first time here and I got the Huli Huli bowl.
This was some of the best stir fry I've had. Good prices, good portions. Only thing lacking is the atmosphere but that's hard to help with it being in a farmer's market.
Will absolutely be back and 💯% recommend.
One word: Phenomenal. What are you waiting for? Cancel your dinner reservations and go here instead!!! 😃💯💯💯😃
KA POW, SAY NO MORE. BOOM
Great food at affordable prices.
Man o man! The food is amazing! Absolutely to die for! The crab roll and spring rolls are yummy! 5 stars all the way!! Wit and Natalie plus the rest of his staff are amazing! Customer services is friendly and incredible! ❤️❤️❤️
Wit is the best! Amazing food and awesome owners. Try Kapow kitchen. You'll be happy that you did.
What a hidden gem this place is! You will have to find out for yourself what they have when you find the place! That is if you are worthy!😉
Great food fast,we went there twice now and we got different variations of fried rice each time
Love this place!
If your in the area, gotta get food here. More so if you love spicy food.
I love this place. On a cold and dreary day as today, the tum yum soup just warms the soul ..
Wow! Pleasant surprise in an odd place. A farmer's market. Limited menu but prepared perfectly prepared. Pad Thai and Penang curry - excellent. Only open two days call for specials
the vegetable bowl is to die for. amazing food and quick service!
Amazing
Best food around
Delicious
Really good food. Spiced just as I asked
Nice
Great Thai food - pad thai is amazing with shrimp! Kapow rolls are really good too!
Awesome Food and Awesome Staff
It's ok but I prefer noodi thai
OMFG!! The Kapow roll is worth every penny it's amazing!
All fresh
This is a must if you visit Booth's corners! They also have an award-winning food truck for all your catering events!
Usually very good. A lot of rice though. Great crab balls!
Pad Thai was great. I look forward to trying other dishes.
Food was good but a little expensive
Love the food. Extremely tasty. The owners are wonderful people.
Always great food. Love the crew there too. They are very friendly and courteous. Mind the spice level though even a 2 can set you on fire
Amazing!!
Tasty, spicy food in good sized portions! Recommend the Pad Thai.
Its small but the food is amazing and very spicy. 5/5
Great food, friendly atmosphere, cool people! Check out the game lounge, while you're there!
:)
Love this place!
Chef Wit is great food is wonderful!
Great fresh and delicious dishes served here, usually with a smile and good conversation from the owner! I highly recommend this spot if you happen to be hungry and in Booths Corner. They also have a food truck which I have yet to try, but I've heard great things about as well.
Awesome!
Best food in town
One of the places to visit at Booth's Corner
Their food is excellent great value for the money and you get more than enough for two meals and every meal
The food was very tasty and fresh. Thai with a touch of Hawaiian is a terrific combo. The owner is very friendly and the waitress gave us very good service. One thing-the beverage prices were exorbitant. $3.50 for a small iced tea ($5 for a medium!) and $2 for a bottle of water is asking too much. So stay for the food, bring your own beverage. There are plenty of much less expensive options at the farmer's market.
Great food. Service.
Delicious! The owner is very personable and very proud of the food he makes. Before you choose your heat level read the sign very carefully! I highly recommend this place.
It's hard to find food spicy enough to make the snot run down my face and eyes tear up so yeah I love this place I've also been coming to Booth's corners help my whole life
Very nice
I love going here every weekend! Chef Wit truly loves what he’s doing and shows that in the quality of the food. The Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Pad Khi Mao “drunken noodles” are all amazing noodle entrees that I recommend to anyone trying Kapow Kitchen for the first time.
I also recommend getting the kapow roll because it’s probably the best type of “egg roll” that I’ve had. I’ve also had the honey chicken which was cooked to perfection and just made me want more and more.
You can choice your level of spice so if you like spicy food this place is a must and even if you don’t like spicy food you can opt for no spice and all that delicious taste is still there!
If you have never been to Kapow Kitchen I recommend you go! You will not be disappointed!
The food is amazing authentic thai, if you want it spicy you will get it, vegan options, they use quality ingredients spices and fresh herbs chef Wit is very friendly and welcoming as well as talented if you are a fan of ubon thai you will love it here
Very good fresh food. Very nice owners. Totally recommend!!
I just love the food 👍
This place was spectacular! Such a great outing and something for every palette and pleasure. Can't wait to go back. Thanks Roger
Food was ok nothing great service was ok
Amazing food, amazing service!!!! My coworkers and I have a Kapow Friday ritual. We come here once a week and look forward to it. The food is phenomenal! It makes it hard for me to be able to enjoy Thai food anywhere else now, LOL. Jody and Wit are amazing people and are part of the experience. You will not be let down! They have a food truck that runs during the summer as well which I have not been able to check out but I hear great things about it too.
Kapow Kitchen is expanding too!! They now have a meal prep area for "Kapow Fit" (healthy to go or make it home meals),a dessert bar and they are Open during the week for carry out!!
Getting better all the time! Check then out on Facebook for the latest menus and for the food truck locations!
Customer service is great!!!! Awesome atmosphere!!!! FOOD IS "OUT FREAKING STANDING"
I was there last Friday with my Thai friend who also cooks . Hands down the Best Thai food around . We had about 6 things on the menu and everything was Super Tasty !! We also loved the upbeat atmosphere and the Owners are very nice people ! I wish it was open every day ! We are going again this weekend !!!👍👍👍👍🤗
I came here recently and ordered the Panang curry with shrimp, a Kapow roll, and a Thai iced tea as takeout. While the food certainly wasn't bad (far from it), I didn't think it was anything special, as I have had much better Thai food elsewhere. Personally, I thought that the flavors of the curry could've been a little better developed, and when I got home to eat the food I actually added a few more spices to it. Also, compared to most of the other vendors at the farmers market, it seemed a little bit pricy. In the future, I still wouldn't rule out coming again (it's possible that this was just an off night), but I'd be a little more hesitant.
I have only had food from the Kapow truck and it was always delicious! I will be stopping in the restaurant soon.
Kapow Kitchen is a favorite for many locals. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere, good prices, and exquisite food - Kapow should be your choice. It's on the lower level of a farmers market, so it's only open on the weekends, but planning an afternoon/evening meal then wandering the wares in the farmers market is a family friendly activity. Servings are generous enough, I've always gotten a second meal out of anything I order.
