This location was great for our small group meeting (5). The atmosphere was great, and the service was too. Our food came quickly and made just as ordered, which isn't always the case at some places when asking for items to be made vegan. If you've been to their other locations then you know they do a good job, but do give this location a chance. There's something special about this place.

I'm visiting family members in Springfield, OR. A suggestion was made to eat at Ta Ran Rin, a Thai place tuck in the busiest town. Every family members have their favorite dish to eat.
These are the dishes ordered. Mussaman chicken curry, tum yum soup pad Thai, Pad woon sen, sweet and sour fish, Thai BBQ spare ribs, and Thai BBQ Chicken.
Everyone enjoyed their meal.
I was not impressed with the tum yum. It didn't have the flavor I'm used in San Diego Thai food.
Overall, the food is decent, the service is excellent.
I rate this place 4.5 star out of 5.

I found the staff laying around on the couch in the waiting area. They were closing early, AGAIN! So frustrating! The food is overcooked and now more expensive with the same low ball quality. Not recommended! I wish a better tai place would get in there ;(

Showed up at 840p on a Sunday after a vb tournament, hoping they wouldn't be missed we showed up so close to closing time.

On the contrary! Michell our awesome waitress was SO welcoming, funny and gracious. Food was amazing (pad thai, tom ka gai, beef noodle soup, lettuce wraps) and atmosphere was warm and charming.

Best Tom Ka I’ve ever had.

I called in an order of Pad Thai with chicken before my lunch break. I love bean sprouts so I ordered extra which costs an extra $1.50. I had been craving Pad Thai for a few days. After I picked it up and returned to my place of employment I opened the to go box only to discover a small pile of bean sprouts on the side. Definitely not extra that I paid $1.50 for. Not only that but all of the noodles were overcooked and no longer than an inch in length. I literally ate it with a spoon. Super disappointed 😔

For my birthday every year I go to ta ra rin to celebrate. Specially the Springfield location. I even drive further out as it's just my favorite out of the three. And I just HAVE to express my greatest praises for them. Our waitress was FANTASTIC. I wish I had her name. She was short, brown hair and petite. It was the evening of 1/9/25. We had a party of 5 and sat near the kitchen around 6pm. Hopefully the managers see this! My food didn't come out right and she instantly got it taken care of. I always get the same dish. When I got the corrected one I noticed it didn't taste like it has in the past. I thought a long time about saying something and almost didn't because they already had to take it back once and I felt bad. I politely told her I had been getting this for years and something just didn't taste right and that I just wanted to let them know. I was going to continue with my meal but she insisted on getting me something else. It was the best customer service. I told her I felt so bad saying something and she said "don't! I'm glad you did. Most people don't let us know!" she just totally made me feel comfortable and better about the entire situation. And of course brought me ice cream for my birthday. It was a great night and I highly recommend going there for not only the food but the service as well!

Ta Ra Rin has been my favorite Thai place for years. I'm so glad they have managed to open additional restaurants, and this one in Springfield has such a cozy atmosphere and is just as delicious as I remember!

This was the worst experience of my life. I called in 2 times to get hung up on. Then for the 3rd time calling I'm put on hold for 20 minutes to eventually just have to hang up. I then called back (4th time) to ask to speak to a manager to be told that there was no manager on site nor was there a person who was in charge to speak to.
They told me they would have the manager call me in the next few days about my complaint and that I could leave a review of I wanted.
They have no care for the costumer. Don't spend your hard earned money on this place. There is other better options.

I think Ta Ra Rin has to be my favorite restaurant for Thai food, it is just so delicious! Along with their customer service, they are so attentive. I had placed a takeout order and the lovely hostess Jasmine was very helpful in recommending great appetizers. I highly recommend to anyone! Definitely come back to this place.

Love the springfield location! I’ve been coming here for years, and I prefer this location from the others. The hostess Jenny is always kind, and when we come for dine in, we like to request Michell as our waitress.

This location of Ta Ra Rin wins for food and service, over any other. Angeline was our server today, and she was very astute and never forgot a thing. Every app and entree was cooked and spiced to perfection. We had a table with natural light, and our sizable group was accommodated with ease.

Some additional attention could be paid by management to upholstery(chairs). Overall the restaurant was clean and the table tops and dishware were very well done.

Just ate at another Thai restaurant today to "try something new" and it made me appreciate this place so much that I had to finally post a review. I have not had a bad dish here. I ordered the Dragons Dogma and was pleasantly surprised when they actually brought out a Lion's Gate

Pad King came out with undercooked veggies that were gross and bland. Asked for medium heat and there was zero heat. Sad because I’ve enjoyed food here before but left today feeling pretty meh.

Although the restaurant did not seem full our waitress was obviously stressed and rushing. While she rushed our orders she only refilled our empty water glasses once and was otherwise nowhere to be found.
We ordered "pots of gold" appetizer and there was an incredible amount of raw celery. It seemed frozen.
I ordered pad Thai with beef. It was average, like a pad Thai sauce you could get from a jar in the store. The weird thing about this dish was that the noodles were all cut to less than 1 inch long-you could eat it with a spoon better than a fork. The beef was unseasoned and probably boiled then thinly sliced.
The whole experience was odd and I would expect a better quality and experience from a restaurant that has multiple locations.

Food was delicious, service was great. Loved the atmosphere.

We've always loved Thai Food and we had eaten at this restaurant in the past. Today I ordered the Pad Pet & the Husband ordered the Chow Min. We felt both dishes had okay flavor other than they had far too much oil in them. We won't be going back to this location.

Not what I expected

We will be coming back again and again!!! 2 of the 7 members of our party are on plant based diets the server was educated and prepared to deliver the necessary suggestions. The soup, and all entrées looked as delicious as they tasted. There was generous portions as well, the bill was reasonable other than the oxymoron (hypocritical) ADDED gratuity, especially when the server falls short of earning that amount. I'll end with another positive note as I left my credit card behind accidentally. I live nearly 100 miles away, so my Aunt had to recover it but I need to say thank you to the Staff for their secret process of getting it back to me. That earned trust is priceless, thank you!

UPDATE:
I gave this restaurant another try 2 weeks after my original review. I ordered the sirloin steak. It came absolutely cold. I would have sent it back to the kitchen to be reheated but the waitress never did come back to check on us or our order. We had to ask for the check.

I'm not giving this place a third chance. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants but I don't know what happened! The service is horrible and the food is subpar.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
This is usually one of my favorite spots to get Thai food. Went there last night with my son and his girlfriend. It was extremely disappointing.

My son's meal was supposed to come with noodles. When he asked the waitress about it she said "oh they're in there", though they were not. She finally brought him the noodles but they were globbed together and everything was cold by then. How can a chef and/or waitress not know what goes in a dish that is on the menu?

The service was less than good. The waitress took our order and never checked on us again. We had to seek out somebody to get more rice. We had to wait for our check.

I've had many good experiences at Ta Ra Rin, but this one put a sour taste in my mouth and I'm not sure I'll be going back.

Food has been good every time I have been here. I get their food to go often. It is one of the best places in town for quality. However, I am lowering 1 star because the dining in service is terrible. I do not recommend dine in.

Got take out yesterday, 4/24/23. My pork stir fry was just so/so at best. I believe it was mostly precooked, most of the vegetables were soggy and overcooked, the meat was rubbery. My spouse got a chicken curry, it was awful. The meat was tough and full of gristle, absolutely inedible.

Horrible service! Had to chase down one of the 6(!) servers for water/ordering and then later to pay. Food is good but yikes, so many chatty friends working together& no one actually working. Might consider going back for take out but there's no reason to wait in their booths.

Sadly, they used too much oister sause, and the food was way over powdered by the taste of oyster. The apitisers did not come out well and were fried in oyster sause I could not enjoy the food. The rice was hard and not fully cooked. Never got the drinks I ordered. I will end up not going back.

I like the duck curry. Duck is always soft and flavorful with plenty of it as well as plenty of tomatoes, bell peppers, pineapple and basil. Can choose how spicy you want it. Inside is nice and clean, staff is usually friendly and quick.

Was shorted a box of chicken pad kei Mao called in was told to bring one box that was chicken pad thai also on our order but labeled as pad kei Mao back to show them then once they're the ladies tried to take the pad thai back to exchange when it was on order and we were only shorted a box and accused me of stealing will never eat here again due to rudeness of your employees who are ones making mistakes..

I have tried their Eugene location before, but tonight it was simply too crowded there, so here we are in Springfield. No line whatsoever, which meant that we could go right in and start to devour some very awesome Thai food. This place indeed has a great menu selection and a warm, cozy, inviting atmosphere, and the food itself is truly excellent and reasonably priced (since I spent so much of the last 2 decades in LA, I think that I can ferret out good Thai food when I taste it). The location is also great if you are on the Springfield side of the world. We will most certainly be back here when the urge for Thai food hits again.

Their food is fantastic, they have the best crab Rangoon/cream cheese wontons in the area, and the service is always wonderful.

Of all of the Ta Ra Rin Thai food locations around the Eugene area this location is by far the best! Best food quality, portions, service and atmosphere.

We used to eat at Ta Ra Rin frequently and always thought it was great. We hadn’t eaten there in a while and ordered take out. We were so disappointed! One dish had a rock in it, another was very greasy and the other was barely cooked with little seasoning. We would have taken it back but we live out of town and it was too far to bother. Fortunately there are other terrific Thai restaurants in our area; we will not return to TaRaRin.

My family used to love Ta Ra Rin. My friends at church used to love it. Not so much anymore. Dinner tonight in Springfield was so disappointing. I won't be going back for a long time, if ever. Taste and texture were awful. I wasted $50.00

It was alright. I had heard a lot about Ta Ra Rin and was looking forward to it. But I got the curry and asked for their highest level of spice and I was pretty disappointed. It wasn't just like not super hot, it was hardly spicy at all. I love spicy curry and then flavor was good but Curry without spice is just... A tragedy.

Lunch was AMAZING! We had Dracula's Nightmare, Tom Kha an Pad Kua Kai w/chicken. Every Single Bite was delicious!

the sweet and sour fish is actually not super sweet which i found interesting and enjoyable. vegetable tempura was excellently crispy. coconut ice cream was good but felt like it was lacking something... maybe a topping of peanuts?

Pad Woon Sen was delicious. Pad Prik King was perfect with nice fresh crisp green beans. The Phad Thai had more of a tomato paste flavor than I was used to but was also good.

Great experience. We had four adults and two children (ages 5 and under). The waiter was nice. We ordered 6 drinks, plus our waters, and 8 plates of food including our dessert. The food was delicious and we had enough for leftovers on a few of the orders. Everybody ordered something different and no one had any issues. The waiter made it easy to split the bill 50/50. Would definitely go again. My only unfavorable input is that I wish they had additional/other drink choices. Like, maybe a couple mixed drinks to choose from (alcohol). I didn't see any, just beer and wine. But I also realize those types of drinks probably aren't part of Thai cuisine.

The chef's special lemongrass curry was pure 🔥. The peanut sauce served with the spring rolls still has my mouth watering, and the pots of gold should not be missed. The servers were super attentive and friendly. I will be back as often as possible.

Great Thai but Handle Problems Poorly

They told me 30 minutes for my take out order. Then it took nearly 45 so I waited patiently. Turns out there was a new cook in the kitchen. That was annoying but understandable. Until what happened next. As I pulled into my driveway ten minutes after leaving I got a phone call asking me to come back because they had given me the wrong bag of food despite confirming my name. I drove back and returned it then left with my now lukewarm food after a few more minutes of waiting even though it was on the table. I asked but someone had to go check. Another lady in the lobby had been waiting a long time and was also getting irritated. All I got was a half-hearted sorry as they were already walking away after finally handing me the bag. No offer of a refund or gift card or something for ultimately wasting more than 30 extra minutes and a lot of driving. Staff was nice but definitely brushed me off and acted like it was no big deal. Does this happen often? That was my next thought. And were they giving him the food I had been driving around with? Something unsettling about that. It’s good Thai but not worth what I experienced. I’ll pay the high prices for good food and good service but not long waits with no respect for my time and mistakes without accountability. To top it off they take job applications online but have no company email or contact form for feedback so I guess this is the forum to air grievances.
