affordable and quality fresh thai! so many spots in the city but this one is legit! so unassuming that’s why it’s special! the family running the cart are awesome people and care about their community!!! i love to grab a beer at baerlic here too
I can’t say enough good things about this place. We’ve been coming here for years and the people are super nice, the food is delicious. Highly recommend. A lot of places the quality has fallen off a bit and you’re not quite getting what you used to - not so with Suphatra Thai.
Ordered here for the first time today! Delicious, fresh and great portion size. My new neighborhood go-to Thai option!! Thank you!
Had the pad woon sen (stir fried glass noodles), $15 for a blob of glass noodles floating on top of a pile of greasy stir fried vegetables. Edible but hugely disappointing. If this is representative of everything else on the menu, I would never eat here again. So much excellent Thai food in this town to be subjected to this. Might try again if I happen to be in the area and didn’t remember this meal for some reason.
This is the best Thai food in Portland! I usually order the pineapple curry which is amazing but today I had the pleasure of the crab fried rice. Soooo delicious. The owners/worker's here are super friendly and I highly recommend. PLEASE give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.
The basil fried rice is the best! 😋😋Always super friendly service and amazing food
We had the pad thai, the red curry, and the pad kee mao, all made vegan. The pad thai and curry were good, but the pad kee mao was better. Appreciated that they understood the request to make the dishes vegan and did so.
Everything was delicious

food truck is amazing. Food is good quality and the fact you can eat outside it’s good
Crab fried rice is my favorite!
I ordered the massaman curry. Potatoes & carrots were undercooked and contained a rotten potato. Portland has plenty of better quality Thai places at the $16 rate.
I eat a lot of Thai food! All over town and all up and down the west coast. The Tom Kha I ordered at Suphatra is one of the best I’ve EVER had. I can’t wait to try the other dishes on the menu the next time I’m at this pod!
Suphatra Thai is a weekly stop for me for the best Thai food in portland! After discovering this food truck two years ago, seriously nothing else compares. My go-to faves are the tofu salad rolls (the rice wrap and veggies are always super fresh), the pad kee mao with chicken (amazing flavor), and literally all the curries. Service is also 10/10 always!
Portions are on the smaller side.
The food here is excellent. I come to the Barley pod quite frequently and this place never disappoints. I typically order the pad thai with chicken but the curry is also quite good. It has always been hot and fresh and the service is friendly.

Nice staff. Good food. Good portion sizing. The only thing average about this place is the pricing. This is my go to Thai place.
the food was really good. i got the pad see ew. but, the portion size was small. i was hungry later on. when i asked for medium the spice was perfect.

Can’t believe I ordered from so many Thai food restaurants when the best was right next door to us. Great stuff
I love this place! LOVE, love it. It’s delicious, it’s ridiculously well priced, and the service is always good. I find myself craving their curry almost weekly—one of the best I’ve ever had and they’re able to make it vegan 🙂 Some of the best food I’ve had in PDX, flavorful, comforting, and a great portion size. Eat/order from here, it won’t disappoint!
WITHOUT QUESTION, the most delicious Thai food in Oregon!!!! Their delicious cooking has become a major food group for me. Lol. The owners are a Thai family who've become like friends to me and my daughter over the past few years. The food is reasonably priced, facility is clean, and the food is fresh, authentic, and cooked right then and there. My 7 year old refuses to eat anywhere else (Thai wise). I usually get pineapple fried rice with tofu and veggies, extra peanut sauce and mango sticky rice when mango is in season.
Their restuarant is a beautiful food cart and the lot has both a large tent covered area option as well as individual picnic tables under umbrellas if you chose to "dine in."
You won't be disappointed!
GREAT food... NEVER open. If temperature is above 75 or below 55 they will close. If they decide to randomly go on vacation they will not staff someone to cover. If they are open, definitely try, but don't count on going there during business hours and being open.
We've enjoyed takeout and delivery from Suphatra Thai, the most recent being a pickup order that was placed through their website and was freshly ready when I drove up. Dining at the Barley Pod remains the best way to enjoy the flavorful curries and stir fry dishes with a pint from Baerlic. The quality/quantity-to-price ratio is high here, a good Bang(kok) for the buck, pardon the pun.
Numba one Thai food in Portland. Big portion sizes the pad Thai by far my favorite. Customer service is very nice and quick.
Delicious Tom Kha, Pad Thai, and green curry with chicken. Huge portion sizes. Outstanding!

Best classic Thai green curry (maybe curry in general) in Portland. Everything they serve is top notch, wasn’t a huge fan of the OMG appetizer but everything else I’ve had has been amazing.
Delicious food. Highly recommended.
The BEST Thai food cart I've ever been to. Big delicious portions and the take-out boxes are very nice and reusable. You can't go wrong with whatever you choose it's all so good.
The Chicken Green Curry is Amazing "! Love this place. Very friendly and has good portions of food for the money. .
My favorite Thai Food Cart! Love the whole crew. They're super friendly & make INCREDIBLE food!!
Real comfort food. Please check them out it's WORTH IT!!
Yup, it really is that good. They have a good menu with all the usual items you would expect in a PNW Thai place, excellent Pad Thai (they add scrambled egg to it so it's even better!) and I adore the Pa Nang Curry.
Excellent food, best Thai in NE Portland that we've found for sure!
Fresh ingredients, great food and cheerful service. I couldn't ask for more...
Some of the best Thai noodles I’ve had in a while. Tasted very fresh and noodles were cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend
Thai coffee was amazing!
My first time having panang curry was a great experience due to their great recipes and love of the food from this modest food truck. Can’t wait to come back and have more of the curries.
Loved the food. I will be back!
I have tried their Tom Kha and their pad Thai. Both of which have been spectacular.
I highly recommend these guys. That have out performed many other full brick and mortar restaurants in the area. I will definitely be returning for more of their delicious, flavorfuly prepared dishes.
We have watched this place grow and flourish since day 1. They have done so well here, they have been able to upgrade their cart, menu and more. Their food is so delicious, their drinks are absolutely fantastic (I love the spices they use in their Thai Iced Tea) and they so are extremely nice! Also they are open MUCH more often then some of the other carts.
I used to worked in food service for years in portland so I understand how crazy it can get, and how hard it can be sometimes. We genuinely thank you for bringing your cart to the neighborhood and providing us with such delicious treats. Even if people don't tell you this every day, please always remember WE LOVE YOU SUPHATRA THAI!!! :)
Good food, good price, good service. Strongly recommend.
Hands down the best Thai I have had in Portland. When I am craving yummy comforting Thai, nothing else but Suphatra will do. And the owners are so nice to me and my 3 y/o. I almost always get the massamon curry - it is so flavorful, the veggies are big and fresh (not frozen!) and the chicken is tender.
Update: still loved this place. Just tried the veggie stir fry and the veggies were amazing. Fresh not frozen, large and perfectly cooked. Not you typical pile of bell pepper either. Petite whole mushrooms, acorn squash, onions, cabbage, broccoli, ... so yum. And the sauce was sweet and spicy.
Best massuman curry!!
Work right around the corner this spot is a god send for pad thai and their thai iced tea is pretty solid.
I've only gotten the pad kee mao, but it's some of the best I've tried in portland. They are super friendly and the portion size is pretty good for $10. I highly recommend checking this place out.
We eat here frequently and have tried at least half the menu and have never once been disappointed. Incredible flavor and fresh ingredients. Always kind service, super consistent and all around a reliable choice for anyone looking for a Thai food fixin.
It’s the kinda place you oughta write the days they’re closed in your calendar
One of my favorite places
Amazing noodles, great prices, the friendliest people. What more could you ask for?
Absolutely delicious, huge portions, and inexpensive! Definitely going back
Probably the freshest, best quality Thai food I've ever had and I've been trying new Thai food carts and restaurants all over Oregon and Washington for the last 10 years. The price beats out any Thai food restaurant as well.
Best Thai in town
9$ and she gives me a big portion compare to some other thai food cart i've ever tried
