Thai steakhouse/cocktails bar
The problem with seasonal menus is that if a dish is really awesome, you come for it and get disappointed when the new menu isn't as good. Came for the whole fish that my friend exclaimed blew her mind which made it unfair expectation. Unfortunately was disappointed. The fried tofu appetizer is interesting but not memorable, it was too dry, and the soft tofu inside only alleviated the dry rub texture but offerred no flavor to compensate. It's absolutely missing a sauce and I can't be the only one who thinks so. Thank goodness for the amazing lime Thai ice tea to wash down the sandpaper bites or else I would have left them on the table. The problem with the Tom yum noodles is that it's too fancy, it doesn't actually taste like Tom yum soup, which I would argue defeats the point. You could of called it some unique name and I would have enjoyed it more. First time I've ever left an Asian place without clearing my small bowl of soup noodles. However the service, and ambiance was wonderful but I can imagine a seasonal menu will leave for up and down reviews. Skip my dishes, or maybe skip this season. It was not worth it. I would suggest making whatever was the absolute best selling dish of each season a menu staple?
DATE NIGHT RUINED !!!!!
Took my better half out for a rare dinner date night on her birthday. Usually we order food and drinks and talk about things that we usually do not ( or cannot ) talk at home.
Well , that did not end up happening.
Every single thing we ordered were so good that we did not talk about anything at all as we were busy eating.
The dishes are simple and yet the complexity of flavors blew our minds.
This place is the Single Malt Scotch of Thai food and a must visit.
I loved this restaurant. My partner and I went here a little over a year ago now, but I think about it all the time. (We live near Olympia, WA and I had a baby this last year, so we've not made it back). They steak was so good and at the time they had these fish collars which were to die for *chef's kiss*.
I came in with high expectations this past summer and ultimately felt it was lackluster.
Let's start with the good:
- cocktails (both were absolutely delish)
- service (our server was so sweet, attentive, and informative)
- curry sauce with the steak (I'd come back to try the curry's just because of the sauce)
Bummers
- the steak itself was fine
- paella - if it was $10 cheaper I'd be okay with it but it didn't have the expected crispy paella, didn't have a lot of protein (without paying for the extra octopus)
- cost - there are other Thai and Paella places for the same price that give more food and are better
Can't say I'd come back again unless it was for cocktails
Just Wow! Hadnt have Thai food so delicious in a long while. Everything was tasty with nice complexity of Thai flavors. The Thai Paella was cooked perfectly with a lovely crust, added the chargrilled octopus and with the hint of spiciness, the dish was wiped clean in no time. The Panang curry was a flavorful curry served with medium rare SRF steak, loved it. Cocktails were good for washing down the spicy kick of the food. I only realized I booked the wrong date when I arrived, staff was accommodating and managed to squeeze me in for a meal. So don’t risk screwing up the booking like me, as you don’t know what you miss here!
5. Great spot, such good vibes and food!
Came for lunch, sat outside- service was really good. Inside looked really nice too. They were super accommodating of allergies (dairy and soy) lots to eat on the menu. They use canola oil in their fryer which is great for folks with soy allergies!
Loved the salad- really fresh and vibrant. All the dishes were great. Also enjoy the curry noodles- very much a khao soi vibe.
Baby friendly- they have a change table in the bathroom and the server was super friendly to the kids!
Highly recommend.

One of the best dining experiences my husband and I have ever had. From the sweetest most sincere and attentive service to an exquisite meal. I had the pork chop and my husband had the vegan curry. We will definitely be back!

First time here for my bday celebration with my sisters. The food was amazing. The server (forgot her name, TT_TT) i need to shout out to her bc of her recommendation and honesty. I am happy she was our server and had a great time and the food experience at phuket. The side sauces that come with some of the meals are to die for, and the beef is cooked perfectly, medium rare. Portion size can be shareable, and prices vary. We did try the snacks, main entree, and side dishes. Sadly, we didn't get to try the desserts. They have 2 dining area, one outside with space heaters and in the restaurant. We dine in the restaurant. Make sure to reserve your table so your table is guaranteed and comfortable what you chose.
What kind of restaurant requires reservations for bar seating? Nobody has the ability to just go in solo and have food and drinks. The menu looked very poor anyways, with extremely limited options. There are 100 better Thai restaurants in Portland.
Visiting on a Friday we came in at 5 were told we couldn't seat til 7;30. OK our bad for not making reservations. Went and had drinks and came back at 7:30. Restaurant was half empty and they still squeezed us in their street shack. So loud it was miserable. Food was just so-so for a $100 meal. Limited menu. Would not recommend!

This is not a review of the food. Stopped by tonight for dinner. Did not have a reservation. It’s Saturday, I figured there would be a wait, that’s fine. But they told me dine in was a tasting menu only and the 2 hour wait was to sit outside… in December. I follow them on Instagram and I’ve looked up their menu before, and nowhere does it say that dine in is a tasting menu only and you only get the menu they post on their website if you sit outside. I double checked tn to make sure. Please do better about communicating through your platforms.

Went here for lunch on a Sunday. When just about everything else was closed this place was open and willing to accommodate a part of 3 plus infant.
The outside seating was quant/cozy and was heated
The service was very helpful and accommodating offering up suggestions on our order
The food was perfect, tasty and flavorful. What was great was that as much as I felt the portions were small for our party size, the recommendations by the server was enough to make me feel full but not bloated and overstuffed
I would go back for sure!
If it's open, eat there!!! The food is absolutely top notch, with the addition of wonderful wafting odors from the open kitchen to entice you to order more!
The pickle plate vegetables were uniquely flavored, really opening up the palette, and the Kua tofu completely floored me with its depth of flavors and perfectly crispy texture - best I've ever had. The pork belly rice was perfectly cooked with just the right proportion of pork, rice, egg, and bok choi. I'm so excited to take everyone I know to this place!!!
Excellent, delicious Thai food! The menu may be small, but I believe this focus contributes to the consistently high quality of each dish. Every item feels thoughtfully prepared and bursting with authentic flavors. Highly recommend
Arrived at 5:30 knowing they hav a 2 hour dining limit. We reviewed the drink list and when our server, Rachel, came around we asked a couple of questions. We noticed she never smiled and seemed put out answering or questions.
I told her of my sesame allergy and was told it would not be an issue.
When it came time to order, my wife asked a few questions about spice level and again we felt like we were bothering her. I ordered the New York after reading on the menu they tout this. Both meals were disappointing. My steak was raw and chewy, the salmon not as described.
We ordered the strawberry pie dessert which was loaded with sesame seeds.
Rachel said I will get you a new one and take that off. She did bring a new one but did not take it off.
So disappointed.
Easily one of my favorite restaurants ever. Outstanding food and service.
Great food, friendly staff
Food was fantastic, really top notch. Would come back in a second.
The service here is high touch. Amazing menu, great people
Went here for dinner, I had the curry and chicken appetizer. It was so YUMMY! My husband had the steak plate. It was all so good. Wish the curry wasn't vegetarian! Food tasted very fresh and authentic.
Delicious.

The food was amazing and the service was great
Insane. One of the best meals I've ever had.
I enjoyed my dinner here! I had a selection of starters that were good (the pork belly bites were amazing) and the vibes were cute. The mango mochi sundae was not worth $10, and the service team seemed to dislike each other and most of the customers, which was a bummer.
5. Great spot, such good vibes and food!

Truly amazing food. Always a treat. Great service too
So yummy. Great outdoor seating and service!
We had lunch here and Lily gave us great recommendations. The food was fantastic!
Eating here with a nice surprise. A lot of Thai restaurants all seem to blur together, but Phuket Cafe serves very original dishes that you probably haven't seen before. The outdoor seating feels like you're in a cable car, and the interior feels like you're being transported to another country. If I had any criticism to make, it's that I would have preferred slightly larger portions.
Excellent food, mixture of vegan, fish and meat. Fun cocktails!
Service was great. The food was delicious. Get the paella! So yummy. Can’t wait to come back
One of the best Thai meals I’ve ever had. We ordered all vegan and was not disappointed! Fantastic flavors, texture, and very visually appealing. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff!
One of my favorite restaurants in Portland. The food is unique and delicious, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Sitting in the train car is a fun experience, especially when the weather is nice. Would highly recommend!
We came here on a whim. LOVED the food.
I recommend: Miang Plaa Jaramed, Mon Tod (potatoes), and the Prawn Curry. Try some of their drinks too.
Innovative Thai tastes - the market greens salad and watermelon are menu highlights
I've never been to Thailand, but I've been a fan of Thai food for my entire life, and I've eaten wonderful meals at hundreds of Thai restaurants on several continents. This is hands-down the best Thai food I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The menu easily fits on one page, and every dish is a masterpiece.
So tasty! Friendly & cute atmosphere.
Food & cocktails were excellent, as was the service. Seating was in the heated outside area, which wasn't bad, not probably didn't give the full experience. Still highly recommend!
Always reserve a table. They're always busy. The food is excellent. Every dish is on point. This isn't a run of the mill Thai place. It's meant to be an halfway upscale dining experience with meticulously prepared dishes.
Limited menu with dishes chosen with care. You won't find major of the 'staples' of a regular American Thai restaurant. See the notes above the experience. The fried chicken was our favorite. We ordered two of them to satisfy the itch.
Attentive service. Yummy cocktails.
One of the best restaurants in Portland by far
Unique Thai plates. We had the Thai paella and panang. They weren't exceptional dishes but the ambience of the place (we sat at the outside bar seats) and creativity of starters, entrees and cocktails makes it easy to leave a 5 star
One of the best restaurants in Portland. The whole fried pompano salad is one of the best dishes in Portland. Phuket is so consistent and the staff is outstanding. Will always be a place I go to.
Favorite place that I visited during a short trip to PDX. Loved the vibe and decor, we were very happy with our food. The pickle plate, Thai paella, and Panang curry were all super flavorful and presented. Didn’t have cocktails but they looked beautiful and had nugget ice.
Make reservations in advance- it books up even on a Tuesday. In restaurant seating is much nicer than the outdoor patio.
I was looking forward to trying this place, but the fusion profile was not for us at all. If you like ingredients that really should not go together, then you might like this weird modern take.
Been here twice and so far it’s been amazing! Price is good, food is super yummy and cocktails are amazing and very special. Highly recommend this place!
Definitely make a reservation. Medium sized menu but each dish is filling.
Unique take on Thai dishes. Something different, albeit a little expensive (but worth it!)
Highly recommend for an amazing restaurant for a great night out! Food was delicious and service was great! Our party of 4 shared a bunch of food and everything was fantastic!
Dishes ordered:
Oysters, beet root roti (cheese with condensed milk), muu kua grua (salted and glazed pork belly), neam pek gai (chicken wings), mee grob lon tao huu yee (crispy rice noodles with pork and fermented tofu relish), miang plaa jaramed (pompano salad), prawn curry, and Thai paella!
Was very excited to try this place but got very disappointed. The worst curry I’ve ever had. Do not recommend. Service was good.
Went here with my hubby for anniversary dinner for first time. Got sat in outdoor seating area which was heated and nice. Service was good and our server knew menu well and explained things we were unclear on. We enjoyed our food especially the pork belly appetizer and the fried fish salad. I thought the prawn curry was overpriced for what we got. We also got the Thai Paella which we attacked upon arrival so no pic. Food was mildly spicy overall. I personally really liked my drink but I can’t remember the name. Gin-based. We will definitely try again to experience other items on menu.
Friendly staff and incredible food! No doubt some of the best and most authentic Thai food I’ve had the pleasure of eating.
Get reservations.
Wow was incredibly happy with my first time visit to Phuket cafe. Nestled into a cozy neighborhood in NW this place may seem unassuming from the outside but they are packing some serious flavor into the food they’re turning out!
Pad See Ew was easily the best I’ve had in Portland thus far if not the best all time. Amazing flavor and healthy portion. The chicken starter was also so crispy and tasty and had an amazing sauce.
The place isn’t too big on the inside so I would suggest a reservation if you’re looking to go on a busy evening but the decor is an eclectic bit also modern design which I enjoyed. The open kitchen is also a nice touch and I really enjoyed everything about my meal. Can’t wait to try more dishes!
Went there for lunch and I didn't expect the food to be THAT good! My new favorite Thai place. Every dish was spot on with a twist of unique flavors. Great service too. Portland has so many great food places that I usually try a new place every time I go out to eat, but this is one of the places I'll be back to many times.
If I'm craving spicy curry or anything spicy for that matter, Phuket Cafe often comes to mind. The flavors are out of this world, often surprising and incredibly unique. It's one of those places you bring people from out of town to leave them wanting more. Each dish is unique, I'd recommend ordering more than you can handle. Make a reservation! Walk ups can be hard as their space is limited.
Phuket Cafe was fantastic! We made a dining room reservation for two on a Tuesday night; we arrived a bit early and were seated right away. Our server talked through the menu with us as we made our selections, and did a really wonderful job of explaining each dish (spice level, portion size, and even pairings for a well-rounded meal).
We ended up ordering two starters (albacore and pompano collars, which was on the specials list) and two entrees (Thai paella and prawn curry). We also got the coffee panna cotta for dessert. We took home some leftover paella, but it was the perfect amount of food to get to try several menu items.
The cocktails were fun and interesting — and importantly, delicious. We tried Serious Moonlight, Technically Sweet, Preppy Giuseppe, and Built 2 Chill, and I would order any one of them again!
Overall, stunning food and drinks, amazing service, and great vibes. I’m looking forward to returning to try even more of the menu.
The food is incredible. The menus is fun and the service is always friendly and helpful. The environment is as laid back or upscale as your mood. Will be back again and again.
Such a delicious lunch, I can’t wait to try dinner! Not knowing what to expect, I stepped in the main entrance expecting to be seated indoors and was directed outside to the “train car”. Given it was chilly and on the verge of raining, I was a bit concerned. But the train is quite cozy with the heat lamps and comfortable chairs.
There’s a fair bit to choose from in terms of starters and sides, but my friend and I lacked time to luxuriate over a long, multi-course meal. I had the Panang curry, which featured Coppa pork steak, summer squash, and Swiss chard. I was expecting the chard to be part of the curry but it was actually tidy pile of minced, crisped greens that offered a complementary texture. There were nice big slices of jalapeños too. I love spicy food; this creamy, complex curry had pleasant albeit mild kick. My one complaint is that the pork was quite tough. I couldn’t even use my fork’s edge to break off a bite, and it was too tough to nip off a piece politely. I had to ask for a knife. While the Coppa pork makes for a gorgeous presentation (and don’t get me wrong, it tastes great) the trade-off might be the texture. My leftovers were enough for modest yet satisfying lunch. The curry flavors seemed to get even better on day two.
My friend loved her Massaman curry with chicken and Thai iced tea.
We arrived around noon and there were tables available. It’s like this place is a secret!
I recently read that their pastry chef was recognized by Bon Appetit so I definitely want to return and have dessert.
Service was polished and attentive.
Parking is challenging; build in extra time to look for a spot and walk if you are planning to dine at a specific time.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for so long, and now I understand the hype. Everything was delicious! Many dishes had some spice, but you can usually find the peppers and pick them off if you’d want. That said, I still wouldn’t recommend this place to someone who has little/no tolerance for spice. We at the chefs counters and it was a really fun spot- definitely grab it if that’s an option when making a reservation! There was also a nice variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes, which I appreciated.
Took a foodie friend here who has eaten all over the world and he absolutely loved it. The pandan chesse roti with smoked trout roe, the curries, the albacore ceviche; everything we tried was outstanding, complex and sophisticated. And a festive atmosphere with attentive service as well. A gem.
Loved it! Came for dinner. Intimate atmosphere. Had a Thai iced tea, there was hella ice but it was hella good. Started off with the albacore ceviche which was probably my favorite dish there, it’s very tart but in a good way. We also had the muu Mua crua I think, it’s the pork belly bites with sticky rice, it was good and satisfying, I could eat an endless amount. We got the paella with added octopus and muscles, the clams were great, octopus had a good texture, and the paella was a little sweet, it was very good especially paired with the pork chop we got which was spicy but not in a hurting kind of way, very good, one of the people I was with closed his eyes with every bite. Honestly there was audible groans/moans during the dinner. Excellent.
One of the best meals we’ve had in quite some time and so much better than everyday Thai food. The oysters may have been the best I’ve ever had. The panang curry beef was great and the paella with octopus was outstanding- I didn’t know octopus could be that tender! There was definitely some spice with everything, so be prepared. Both the curry and paella I would rate 3/5 spice level.
DISAPPOINTED. Food is ok but there is an ENFORCED 20% TIP even FOR LUNCH. (We are party of 3). This policy is NOT on the menu. I would think any such policy should be upfront on either the menu or be told to the customers. I used to like this place but would NOT come again.
—————————————-
Reply to the merchant:
We asked the waitress about the 20% since it is clearly stated on the receipt it is only for a party over 6. She explained that this policy is newly enforced and would be applied to all customers.
This makes it a bit harder to believe it is mistake, no? Are you sure this is not intentional? Thank you but I don’t want a gift card. If you are truly sorry, you can refund the tip back to the original method of payment.
Amazing food, super fun outdoor seating, and phenomenal service (Patrick was absolute perfection in the combination of approachability, knowledge, frequency of checking in, and overall helpfulness - he's a keeper, guys!).
Took my mom to lunch here and she loved it. Great atmosphere and rich flavors. Only downside is it is heavily pork based, I would have liked a little more option but honestly it doesn't even matter it was so ridiculously delicious 😋
Unreasonably good. I’m not sure this place has a bad dish. But the prawn curry is something from a different planet. Whoa.
Absolutely amazing. I have been there three times in the last month. The fermented fried chicken and stir fried noodle plates are unique and just delicious. Highly recommend.
Incredible. Must try. Overall experience was phenomenal. All the dishes were excellent and it's tucked away in a nice spot. Everything was very enjoyable.
Came here for lunch on a Friday and were seated immediately. We sat outside in the heated shelter which is nice and toasty.
We opted for the chicken wings, Panang Curry and pad see ew to share. You may wonder... why the 4 star? Read on...
The food came out quickly and we got our chicken wings to start. If you look into the photo, we got 4 small pieces of chicken wings... (2 wing tips and 2 drumettes). That's equivalent to one set of chicken wings from one chicken. Seriously! $14???
Garnished with plain cabbage without dressing nor vinaigrette, roasted peanuts without seasoning, and thinly sliced green bird peppers. Seriously. $14??? Hence, 1 star removed.
The panang curry flavor was great and again, 4 thin slices of pork came with it on top of undercooked vegetables. Took many chews on the vegetables before one can swallow... Portland may be a healthy city but the portions are just way too stingy! Another star removed.
The Pad See Ew... this is their saving grace. Had great "wok hei" which is heated wok flavor and the noodles are soft and fresh. The flavors worked well together and the sambal that came with it was a great compliment to the burnt and toasty flavors that should be in Pad See Ew. Love that they did not sugar it up like other Thai restaurants so, definitely a great dish.
We unfortunately had to sit inside the shelter with some loud mouth unconcerned dining patron that must have thought she owned the place with her obnoxious cackle. So, that ruined the mood. Servers were attentive and professional. Would come back to have the Pad See Ew but $14 for the chicken wings! Seriously???
Tasting meal. Excellent. I can't list the names of all the dishes or even one, but they were different from the standard Thai foods and were all very, very good. Service was exemplary, with the servers being able to explain each item in detail. Dirty plates were removed promptly and the next item was served very quickly. They also accommodated us for allergies and diet restrictions.
Amazing flavor and great service, this place is a winner for every occasion!
Was able to enjoy this eclectic restaurant while visiting friends in the area. The food was good but pricey for the amount of protein that came with each dish. We had panag curry, shrimp curry and eggplant along with cocktails and the bill was $130. I honestly think the shrimp curry had only 3 or 4 shrimp. But I had a good visit.
Creative menu. Fun cocktails and cool vibe - service was lovely
Went here with my family and thought the food (fried chicken wings, panang curry) was delicious.
My husband and I went and ate outside here on a Saturday night. The whole fish dish is incredible! I really enjoyed the bright flavors. I do wish there was a noodle dish at dinner but we will definitely be back for more!
A delightful Saturday lunch. Able to get a nice table outside with minimal wait time. The service was wonderful and attentive. Interesting, unique, and flavorful twist on Thai food.
Everything was very good. Great salads, amazing curry. Cocktails were great. The tofu was incredible. Chicken wings were crispy as heck with a fishy garlic vibe
Delicious food and great experience. The curry I ordered was a perfect balance of spices and creaminess. Also, the Thai ice tea was just the right amount of sweetness. Our table was outside on the patio which was nice during the summertime and our waitress was really friendly.
Everything was good. True some dishes are a tad spicy but nothing out of this world, and in my opinion was balanced.
Phuket Cafe impresses with its amazing food and vibrant atmosphere, creating enjoyable vibes for diners. The culinary delights are top-notch, offering a delightful experience.
However, the only drawbacks are the limited menu and higher prices, which may be a concern for some. Additionally, the small size of the place might make it crowded during peak hours.
Phuket Cafe is a buzzing spot with mediocre food for a high price. The appearance of the food was very appealing but unfortunately the taste and quantity did not justify the high price points. I was recommended the spot by friends and was disappointed that it wasn’t what I was hoping for. The servers were very delightful and although we had a reservation we had to wait for a table to leave before we could sit. I think this place could be great but their are kinks that need to be ironed out.
Waited couple of weeks to get a reservation.
The paella was really good - however it was missing thai flavors to begin with. The Paella was missing spice. Definitely get it with Mussels - out of this world 3.5/5
The winner was ribeye. However - there was nothing thai about the rib eye flavors.
Definitely overhyped and did not live up to the expectation. Definitely overpriced.
The food, and presentation were great. I had the Paella, with added mussels, so good!.The woman who said the Paella was too spicy with no warning, just doesn't like spicy food. The spicy was perfect. We also had the wings, and fish.
I live in California, visiting Portland, Or., this is by far the best Thai food I've had. Very creative dishes, and wonderful service.
I highly recommend this place, they have great food, and service.
Honestly disappointed in our experience here. First, if you don’t like spicy food, this restaurant is not for you. The menu didn’t warn about spice, but both the panang curry and Thai paella were very spicy. The server didn’t warn us either or give us an option to get it less spicy. At most Thai restaurants in the area it would be considered at least a 4/5 spice level. The flavors other than the spice were good, but the spice level was really overkill. The eggplant on the other hand was flavorless. The cocktails were good, and the steak in the panang curry was good. Overall it was way too expensive for what you get.
Amazing, nuanced food. Great place
Great food. Enough to feel full, but you need to go to McDonald's afterwards. It's the kind of place you take someone on a date or if you really want to impress a coworker.
Best potatoes we’ve ever had!
Ordered the paella, curry, and ceviche. Everything was wonderful.
Paella was spicy but not too hot. Rice was both crunchy and soft.
Curry was a very nice and fresh with a strong lemon grass taste.
The ceviche was very fresh and had a nice crunch from the brittle.
Highly recommend trying out the creativity and freshness here!
I wish I could say better things about the food here, especially given all the hype and high prices, but it is average at best. It is very overpriced for the quality and taste of the food. I've been to many Thai restaurants and Thailand. I love Thai food and have had great Thai at many restaurants. My wife and I both agree the food was not very good. Both curries were too spicy. The Thai ice tea was just okay. The Thai ice cream bar was not good at all. Unfortunately, nothing was good or great here.
The food was delicious and the portion was just right amount. Great and friendly service
Had the panang curry. It was very flavorful and satisfying, I really enjoyed every bite.
Everything was amazing. Best Panang Curry I've ever had.
Exceptionally crafted food and cocktails. The Penang Curry with house dry-aged NY strip steak is so good. The Paella is also amazing and a really cool twist on a Spanish Paella as a homage to Chef Jose who ran the kitchen in this space when it was Atuala
Scrumdiddilyumptious. The albacore ceviche was bursting with flavors that complimented each other perfectly. The carrot side was tender, spicy, crunchy and creamy with citrus flavors that made it a perfect dish for seeing winter on its way out. The shaved ice desert with yuzu and kiwi was reminiscent of childhood and tangy and sweet and surprisingly refreshing for a desert! Will return to sit on the super cute patio and for the amazing service!
Delicious food! Great service! Awesome vibe! Can't wait to come back!
Too strong, salty, sour and not authentic. But if all you’ve had is American cuisine and fusion stuff, you’ll prob enjoy it.
I love to find places that offer unique flavors and ingredients. Phuket Cafe was wonderful and a great place to celebrate a birthday. There were 4 of us dining and we shared everything but the cocktails. I love plate sharing because you get to experience so many new dishes. My favorite dishes were the albacore ceviche, the prawn curry which has amazing flavoring and eggplant. The paella with octopus was also delicious and I liked the crispy bottom. Our server was efficient and really helped us order the perfect amount of food. We sat outside in their tented street patio and it was perfectly warm on a rainy night. This Thai food adventure was different than any other Thai I have eaten. Phuket will definitely be woven in to my repeat places.
The menu doesn’t have a lot on it, but it is perfect. Everything we tried was top notch. Flavors, preparation, presentation-wow!!
Service was excellent. All the recommendations were excellent.
What a nice way to start a culinary trip in Portland. A definite must for anyone who likes Thai dishes.
Exciting food! I’ve been here twice and felt exhilarated each time. The vibe is impeccable, whether on the heated patio, indoors, or at the bar. Don’t miss the the roe and crème fraiche add-on that comes with the crepe thing! All of the sea food is fresh and delicious. Overall, crave-able! Side note: this place is officially at don’t-forget-to-make-a-reservation status.
Delicious food but felt like small portions for the prices.
Flavor, flavor, flavor. Great job. Creative with traditional roots. Spice that sits just right. Cocktails 5/5 as well. Thanks for sharing.
What an experience from beginning to end! Great interiors, nice lighting, good cocktails, amazing service and the food, damn! We got the vegan curry, pork rinds, the albacore ceviche and the salad with a whole fish fried. That last one was my favorite. We got a bottle of a white txacolina from Spain. A definitely must in Portland
My new favorite restaurant in portland. Great menu everytime. Highly recommend going with a group so you can try everything
I was so stoked to try out this spot, but sadly was quite disappointed. I'll preface this with we did get the food to go, so you know its not going to taste as good as it would had you waited the hour+ line to eat there.
We got the panag curry, egg plant, beet roti, and pork belly bites. I was expecting the $38 steak curry to be worth the money, but it was really quite disappointing. There was an abundance of oil in the curry that even after adding the rice, the excess oil seaped out of every grain of rice and made it's way to the top of the bowl... and my stomach. Very unsettling. The roti and eggplant weren't bad. The pork bites we're alright, a little expensive for the quality of the bites. I don't think I would waste my time, tums or money on trying the food at the restaurant.
Great cocktails, great food
Absolutely amazing
4.5/5 for taste
2/5 for value
It tasted great but not good enough to overcome the price and make it 5 stars? I think for this reason, I prefer eem.

Food is okay . Limited menu . Pricy for what we get
This place was delicious! Pork was amazing!
This place smelled disgusting lol 😝 food was okay… I just couldn’t get over the smell… beware! But the staff was super friendly and quick. The drinks were yummy. I recommend the silver hotel drink thing. Also the prawn curry was excellent 💕💕💕
Incredible food, especially paella
Their outdoor dining area is pleasant, BUT if you are concerned about avoiding exposure to viruses this winter be aware that they keep the windows and doors covered with air-tight plastic tarp. So we found ourselves dining in a small crowded space with no airflow. Ironically, it would have been safer to just eat inside the restaurant. Since many people are opting for outdoor dining because of heath concerns, it would be considerate for the restaurant to either make it clear on their website what the outdoor space is like in winter, OR to keep some doors and windows uncovered or partially covered. The heat lamps were pretty hot so it would still be comfortable for dining. Otherwise, the food was good and the service efficient. We had good time there.
Incredible food, incredible people, definitely a top experience in pdx. Very accommodating to my many allergies and over-the-top exceptional 👌🏻
spectacular food and welcoming chill staff. what more do you want.
Great quality, good presentation. Service is nice, kind, fast and focused to details. A bit overpriced. Make sure to have a reservation for the Thu-Fri-Sat weekends!
One word: Flawless.
Best meal I've had in Portland since Langbaan.
Interesting place for southern Thai cuisine
