My first visit at Golden Leaf was awesome! The Sweet and Sour with tofu was beautiful, fresh, and the best I've had. The Pad Kee Mao with tofu was outstanding as well! The Cashew Nut Chicken was fantastic, too.
I'll no longer be getting my Thai food anywhere else in the county!

This place has some really good food. My daughter and I showed up near closing time, and they seated us anyway. So nice of them. We were really hungry. We had the shrimp salad rolls (pretty good, nicely messy) and also had the dish with rice, chicken, basil, shrimp -- can't remember the name. It was very good. Hit the spot. Next time in Newburg we're going back to this restaurant. I recommend it.

I’ve lived on almost every continent and have never found a Pad Thai better than the one here. On top of that, the peanut sauce is beyond amazing. The owner is a super sweet lady and highly recommend coming here.

This dish in particular has been consistently good. I know some Thai places are hit or miss on certain dishes. This one is a winner for me.

My two requests is for it to be more affordable so I order it more often and have a spicier option on the menu. 5/5!

The broccoli and carrots in my pad see ew were quite crunchy but that’s just me being nit picky, the Thai tea and service were great 👌

Food was very good! Service was kind of slow, but they were pretty busy to be fair.

Service sucks person told me I was late for pick up while they had my order in the back while I stood waiting for 3 minutes and then they had the audacity to tell me I was late.

My wife found a piece of plastic in her curry. Pretty gross. Who knows where it's been.

My favorite Thai in Newberg. For me the most authentic and flavorful food in the area. Test out your spice levels for a true flavor pallet. It busy for take out and pick up services. Not quite done updating the dining area. Most tables are open in the front. Guessing they won't open the back
Never been full yet. The tables are decorated and they give water in nice pitchers. You have to ask for ice if you want it. Food is presented artistically. It's a pleasure for the taste buds

First timer. I met my former Co-workers for lunch. I was early. My experience: I was greeted with a smile & a brief explanation of how the ordering works. The food was scrumptious and so much I had enough left for later. I took home the Lemongrass Chicken Pad Thai with peanut sauce for dinner. Highly recommend!!! You can order online for pickup or delivery, as well.

First time trying, and this place had amazing food! Perfect portions, delicious flavor! I had the chicken pad Thai, it has a Smokey flavor that I absolutely loved! The person at the counter was super friendly and the service was helpful and quick, I highly suggest this place!

1st time visitor and I loved it. We had spring rolls and green curry with tofu. I was very impressed with both. I like my curry a little bit spicy and it was perfect. If you like less heat I’m sure they can adjust as the staff was very friendly and made sure we were happy. My companion has been several times and has had a great experience each time. Will be back soon. I might suggest that the tables be spread out. I could hear our neighbors soft conversation which made us feel a little awkward.

Delicious food, quick service, clean, friendly staff. There are options for lighter, faster food, as well as more typical Thai fare. Not a ton of seating.

I frequently come here for the thai iced tea and the tofu salad rolls! Their peanut sauce is on point. They're always very friendly and I can tell they're passionate about the food they put in front of their customers.
Sidenote: I'm sad that they got rid of the gambling machines when the new owners took over :(

Golden Leaf has a lovely, calm atmosphere. I ordered pad Thai, which had a great, strong flavor but was way too saucy for my taste. I really just went because I love Thai iced tea! It's fantastic here! Sadly it's $3.50 for a tiny glass full of ice and three gulps of tea. No refills! I was so bummed, especially when I saw someone get take-out thai tea and they got a much larger cup. I'll have to find my Thai tea elsewhere from now on. Super bummed.

We love this place! The food is delicious!! We always do take out because the new table set-up isn't too inviting to sit down, but the service is wonderful, and the servers are very nice and friendly. This is our go-to whenever we have guests over, and it is always a hit! The Panang Curry Chicken and Pad Thai Chicken are my favorites here 😍

This was our first trip here. My wife has soy/gluten allergies and they were accommodating and made a really good Pad See Ew with no soy. It has a good subtle flavor.

We also had the green curry and that was delicious.

I had Pad Thai and it was a good sized portion, very saucy (a preference) and it was delicious.

Summary: I would go back again for the food, the friendly staff, and good ambience.

First time there. Dined in. No others there just take out. Apparently we were a bother because we got the eye roll when asked for a cup of ice. Another eye roll for a to go box . At least now we know. Soup was good.

Ordered cashew nut w/chicken, was the worst meal I've ever got!! Was so bland & watery I had to put hot sauce on it to try to eat it. Soggy mushrooms and a ton of canned baby corn! I don't even know if it was real chicken or canned, zero flavor! I wish I would of had Top Roman for my dinner instead! Threw most of it in the trash, I will not go back to this restaurant with such a bad experience. Disappointed for sure :(

We've always loved the food at Golden leaf. They've recently redone a lot of the interior - which is good, it used to feel kind of like a dry-cleaners.
It's nicer, but now it just seems like they really don't want to have people eating there; they'd rather have only takeout and door dash orders. The few tables they have set up are wobbly and tiny, and a whole section of the space is just piled up boxes/supplies.
It was actually pretty funny when we asked if we could move the table number since we didn't have room - the server said we couldn't because she needed it to know which table to bring the food to - - but we were the only people dining in the restaurant!

This is the second time ordered from golden leaf Thai. I moved to the are 6 months ago and the food was not to my sub par. I just ordered from again this restaurant tonight and it is still not good. Let me clarify; the pad Thai is made with only a tamarind sauce that is cloying and overly sweet. You get a homogeneous blend of noodles, sugar, sambal for heat and a sprinkle of bean sprouts on top. I have an upset stomach from all the sugar in this dish. No flavor! I am a chef, I have been the head of an Indian restaurant as well as mostly french and American cuisine. I'm am very disappointed in the taste of this food. I do not want a refund and the only reason for leaving this negative review is that the owner of this establishment needs to know that the food is in serious need of repair.

Solid Thai food and quick service!

All booths have been removed with only a few uncomfortable tall cafe tables remaining. Self service table settings. They seem to be forcing customers toward take out orders only. People walk in, then leave. Owners have ruined this once comfortable and cozy restaurant. After years of eating there, we won't be back.

I usually order take out - I discovered this place during covid and this was the only option. They have since added back some seating. I've enjoyed their Pad Thai and they make the BEST salad rolls!!!! Their staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Delicious Thai food. Big portions (enough to share). It's pretty spicy.. so be aware.

Food is great but when you are at fault for something, acknowledge and don’t pass the blame onto a DoorDash driver. You were swamped. You had 4+ drivers waiting for food. You gave the wrong Allan order to the wrong driver and when asked blamed the driver for grabbing the wrong from the shelf. Mistakes happen. But blaming a driver for your mistake, shameful. While ruining our dinner for the evening is something we can get over, I’ll pass on the deception and order from the other two places in town next time.

We wanted to order to go at 8:25, they close at 8:30, and the kitchen was already CLEANED, they couldn't even make brussel sprouts.

Disappointed in these chicken wontons just folded in half and fried, and the dipping sauce that was advertised to have peanuts in it. I also ordered the Cashew Stir Fry and it came with a lot of mushrooms (which I don't care for) when the description said only onion, carrots, bamboo shoots, and bell pepper. Most of the carrots were in a fancy cut shape, but one big one (pictured) looked questionable: old, not burnt.

So nice to finally eat there, been ordering take out for almost a year while dine in was closed.

Definitely the best Thai food outside of Portland metro and still competes with the top ones there!

5 stars for the eggplant chicken stir fry. 3 stars for the pad Thai and fried tofu. Quick service.

Food is still top notch, but service has gone downhill. Numerous times now my order has been ready, but not in a place where I can pick it up, and the hostess has been nowhere to be found. Disappointed, and may not go back.

Tofu + Noodles were delicious. The lady working the front counter was very kind.

This is an amazing restaurant. They have been in business for more than 15 years. Most restaurants in the Newberg area only seem to stick around for a few years. The food is constantly great, especially if you are a big curry fan. The yellow curry is amazing. I would highly suggest the yellow curry with medium spicy. Currently they are only open for take out due to Covid.

Hands down best Tom Kha soup I have ever had.

Our takeout order was ready 20 minutes after their estimated time. Three of our entrees didn’t have any sauce on them. Yellow curry was really good though.

Used to be the Best Thai food in Newberg. Recent change in ownership and the curry dishes are nowhere near as good. Too much added sugar.

Great food! I’ve tried the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Massaman curry and just tried the Cashew Stir Fry. They’re all delicious! I was pleasantly surprised with how good the stir fry is and I’ll definitely be adding it to my list of favorites. You can’t really go wrong here. The owner is very nice as well!

Excellent sevice and slots

I absolutely love this place! Though they have always been consistent in their food and service...they really stepped up their game when another Thai restaurant opened nearby. They do not skimp on ingredients. If you order pad Thai with shrimp..you WILL get shrimp. Their curries are awesome with true Thai ingredients. And yes, their peanut sauce is the BOMB!

I love this place. I cycle through and get many different meals but almost always get the pad thai for the kids (and I sneak some bites) and I really like the garlic shrimp.

This is my favorite place to eat in Newberg. Their yellow curry is my comfort food. In the typical cold and wet Oregon weather, nothing cheers me up like their delicious, warm, slightly spicy yellow curry :) In college, Golden Leaf was where I usually went for dates with my girlfriend, and now I look forward to stopping by whenever I'm in the area.

Did take out here. SUCH LOVELY staff. They even gave me a box to carry out my Thai Curry so that the meal wouldn't splosh on my hands or on my car. They are the sweetest staff, and really good food! Please visit them if you can

I come to Golden leave every couple of months. I always order the same thing, green curry. The flavor of the curry is great, however there is variability in what vegetables are used. I typically wish there were more fresh vegetables, brighter color and more interesting presentation. The music and ambiance is a bit silly inside. It sounds like you are sitting in a Thai music box... can seem the same song is repeating over and over. Generally, it appears empty inside but the restaurant has a ton of seating so patrons are just spread out. Sometimes I have wondered if it would be possible for the front to be used for the Golden Leaf restaurant and menu and convert the back into another option. Maybe a small ethnic bar or place we could come for Happy Hour cocktails and snacks. Maybe just a different rendition of the menu with street food...

Waited 1 Hour 30 minutes for small simple order... food came out tough, way over sauced, and cold - Haven't been back since.

Good food, healthy severing sizes. The staff or friendly, helpful and quick response to requests. Peanut sauce is Great, it's one of those things that make or break a Thai restaurant. Prices are reasonable as well. Curry was amazing. It's a great spot for the family or a date. Or just to spoil yourself. Definitely going back.

This restaurant is just wonderful. They will go out of their way to please your palette! My daughter wanted a thai tea and they were out and offered her the Thai coffee instead. I warned my daughter that the drinks are very different but she wanted to try something new.
Well, she hated it :) and the owner wouldn't allow us to pay for something we didn't love. I tried to pay repeatedly-not their fault we didn't like it- but the owner would have none of that!
I love their Drunken Noodle and the Peanut chicken is also a favorite.
Try it, your tummy will thank you!

Went with my boyfriend and the lady was leaving but rather than turn us away she made us super comfortable and let us pay before she left and we had a wonderful meal and a good time just us..

The food was very good, great flavors. It would be helpful if they had a clearer description on their menu for allergens. Our son is highly allergic to peanuts and we did not feel confident in any of the options being completely peanut free.
