Very nice lunch with excellent veggie food. Nice location without too much automobile action. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

We stopped in this lovely restaurant one rainy afternoon, and it is now my favorite Thai spot. We both ordered Thai iced tea and shared coconut shrimp and curry puffs for appetizers. We both ordered main dishes of pad kra pau with beef and glass noodles. Everything was absolutely delectable! The shrimp had great coconut flavor, and the curry puffs were crispy with softly sweet potato curry inside. Nothing was greasy at all. All made fresh to order. I consider myself well acquainted with spice, so we ordered medium for the main dish, and it was perfect with gradual, building heat. Service was wonderful, and everyone was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Highly recommend this clean and cozy little spot.

We usually go to Dangs in LO for Thai - thought we'd give this new place a try.

The good: People working here were very nice. Clean little place. Fresh rolls (both shrimp and tofu were better than Dangs 5/5 stars). Squash curry w/chicken. Very nicely done good flavor and squash was cooked perfectly. 5/5. Mango salad very fresh and tasty, crisp green beans yum 5/5.

The ok/not so good: Pineapple rice with chicken was just ok. Not much flavor. 3/5 The Thai iced coffee was tasty and worth the price. 4/5 Portions/Price - prices were comparable to Dangs down the street but the portions were a bit smaller. Kind of like paying dinner prices for a lunch sized serving. 3/5.

The ugly: Generally our favorite dish - pad khi mao with pork. The pork meat was really good. Way better than dangs 4/5. However, the noodles were so overcooked the dish was more like a bowl of lumpy mashed potatoes with bits of pork and somewhat soggy vegetables. We picked out the pork bits to eat and scooped the rest into recycling. 1/5. Spice/Heat. We ordered some dishes mild and some medium spice but to be honest I didn't really notice any heat whatsoever 1/5.

I'll go back for the Fresh rolls for sure - maybe try another dish too. I'd recommend giving them a shot. Overall 3.5/5 but with some 5/5 standouts.

What a treat! From appetizer to dessert. Everything was delicious and everyone was delighted. Cop Kun cop 🙏🏻

Diner Review №7

Hands down the best Thai food in Lake Oswego! Everything we've tried has been amazing, and the interior is so cozy and cute! Can't wait to go back!

Diner Review №8

Delightful little place! Great atmosphere on a sunny afternoon. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Kind, attentive staff. Nice menu selection and daily specials. Quiet street near the bustle.

Diner Review №9

This is the best Thai place I’ve found in Lake Oweso. The food is fresh and flavorful! It's an amazing family-owned restaurant.

Diner Review №10

My first time there, met a friend. A small, cozy place in Lake Oswego with less than a dozen tables, no music blasting, perfect for conversation.
There’s a huge colorful menu with all the traditional Thai dishes. The hostess was a friendly woman and we ordered spring rolls, massamun curry, and pad sew (wide) noodles, both with tofu.

Diner Review №11

Amazing place! Quick service and yummy appetizers!

Diner Review №12

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back again.

Diner Review №13

My family and I had our first visit to this little jewel in Lake Oswego last night. The place was clean and cozy. The service was pleasant and efficient. And yes, the food….the food was absolutely spot-on delicious, fresh and served piping hot. Between the four us, we ordered Green Curry, Pad Thai, Tom Yum Soup,, Fresh Thai Rolls, Chicken Satay and Broccoli Stir Fry. The spice level was perfect and the servings were very generous. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

This is a definite new go-to spot for terrific Thai food. Thank you!!

Diner Review №14

Absolutely thrilled with my recent visit to this delightful Thai restaurant! We ordered the tofu yellow curry, drunken noodles, and some spring rolls. Each dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared—the tofu yellow curry was creamy and rich, while the drunken noodles were expertly seasoned and had just the right amount of heat. The spring rolls were a fantastic appetizer, fresh and crispy.

The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine. Can’t wait to return and try more dishes! Five stars all the way! 🌟🌟

Diner Review №15

The drunken noodles were mushy and without taste. I asked for hot. I had to ask my husband if he could taste any heat. He said they threw dry peppers on top but not cooked in.
Panang curry was extremely disappointing too. I asked for Thai Hot and it was as mild as noodles. And everything was bland. No lime leaves in the curry! This is one of the worst Thai food I have had in a long time. Their prices were higher than most too! Cold cafe with no attractiveness. I came because the reviews were great. Extremely disappointed. Dined in.

Diner Review №16

Amazing Thai food. Best coconut soup I’ve ever had. Really nice people, able to accommodate our food, allergies and really fair prices. A must go to in the Lake Oswego area.

Diner Review №17

I've read all the reviews. I find them hard to believe. Maybe we just hit a bad night (12/22). The Fried Calamari looked like onion rings, had a thin strip of tough calamari with a ton of breading. All the same size. They were out of a box. And they were terrible. They were out of the cod so I ordered the teriyaki salmon. It was overcooked. Dry. The Pad Thai looked nothing like the pictures on this page. There were no ground peanuts, out of bean sprouts (substituted broccoli), no lime, a very small amount of egg, no green onion, and it was swimming in a pool of the sweetest sauce I've ever tasted. It should be illegal to call that dish Pad Thai. I ordered a soju to drink. It wasn't real soju. A much lower alcohol content with a strong fruit flavor. Overall, a very disappointing evening. I wanted this restaurant to be good since it's so close to us. So disappointed.

Diner Review №18

I’m American Thai, grew up on Thai Food. This place is a great new addition to the area! Most authentic Thai food I’ve had at a restaurant here, cooks and servers are actually Thai (spoke with them in Thai). Boat noodles were amazing! Can’t wait to go back.

Diner Review №19

The food is your typical Thai menu.

There are some interesting additions like the boat noodle soup and the Hainanese chicken rice aka khao man gai.

Service is good. Attentive and the server will even provide a neat history lesson on Thai cuisine too.

I ordered the boat noodle soup. Broth is very dark and rich. Slightly sour but not off-putting. The Thai iced tea is perfect. Honestly, I would come here in the summer months for just the drink alone.

Clean interior. A nice place for an easy to eat meal.

Diner Review №20

Wonderful meal and service at Thai Baan! Fresh rolls, red curry with shrimp, and green curry with vegetables were all excellent! Will be coming back, and telling our friends!

Diner Review №21

Our selections were delicious. We had fresh rolls with shrimp, pad chicken stir fry, and holy basil duck. Each was outstanding! This cozy hidden gem is a welcome addition to Lake Oswego. We will be back.

Diner Review №22

So glad we stopped in here. The appetizers we got were delicious hot and crispy we got the crab Rangoon’s and spring rolls. We ordered pineapple fried rice that was delicious and mussamun curry that had a wonderful flavor. We would definitely recommend trying these and we can’t wait to go back and try more. We went at 6:30 pm and didn’t have to wait to sit but there is limited seating available.

Diner Review №23

This was our first time dining at Thai Baan and we were so impressed! I had the pumpkin curry with chicken which was full of flavor. And the Thai iced coffee was like dessert in a glass. So impressed at the authentic quality of our meal. We will definitely be back!

Diner Review №24

This is a fairly new restaurant in Lake Oswego and it’s fabulous! The food is well prepared, not oily, and it all tastes delicious! It’s the real deal!

Diner Review №25

I had dinner here on a Friday night and it was fantastic! It is our new go to place for Thai food in Lake Oswego. This location for Thai Baan used to be Kurata, the Japanese restaurant, but they have moved on/retired. Kurata’s was a wonderful place and we are so glad that this place is now here. Delivering high quality Thai cuisine at decent prices vs the other place in town. We had the Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai with chicken and the Penang Curry with chicken. All were spiced just right and the flavors were spot on with the best Thai food I’ve had. We go there early, around 5pm on a Friday, and was able to get a table without a problem. We left around 6pm and it was starting to fill up. If you are in the mood for Thai food and are in the area, do yourself a favor and go here. Additionally, my wife is gluten intolerant and they had no problems accommodating her.

Diner Review №26

Gets my vote as the best Thai restaurant in Lake Oswego! They have a real gift with their flavors, particularly the orange chicken sauce, Prince Rama peanut sauce, and the curries. Amazing food and such genuinely nice people.

Diner Review №27

This family run restaurant cares about quality and service. It’s our new place for take out or casual eat in.

Diner Review №28

Had the Chicken Pad Thai It was perfect. Well done Thai Baan!

Diner Review №29

I was told by my girlfriend to order the Yellow Curry and I chose chicken as the protein.
I've worked in 3 Star Michelin restaurants in Europe and I can be heavy handed with my critiques but I was taken aback by the freshness and purity of this dish and the service was truly looking to make everything great (they did).
I am spreading the word that one of the finest Thai restaurants in Portland isn't in Portland.

Diner Review №30

This Thai restaurant has definitely earned the 5 stars I'm giving it. Its food is Blue Elephant quality. Thai Baan is a small restaurant with mostly uncomfortable chairs. However, the food is what will impress you. The first time I ate there, I had Duck Curry, which was so good I'm having a Pavlovian response just writing about it. The second time, I had Pineapple Curry, which was extremely well spiced. I had the Thai Iced Tea both times, and it was very nice and not too sweet. The first time I went with my grandson and he had a very flavorful Pad Thai. My friend went with me the second time, and he had Pork Stir Fry (#51) which was so good I almost ordered some to go. You won't regret eating at Thai Baan.

Diner Review №31

diverse menu, kind staff, and amazing atmosphere!

Diner Review №32

The portions were very generous, the food was delicious. Try the Thai iced tea, you won't regret it.

Diner Review №35

This place is the real deal! We heard of a Thai place being open in LO and didn't realize that we stumbled in there on their opening night. You can tell that love went into preparing the dishes...so delicious and the staff is kind. So excited to have an authentic Thai restaurant in Lake Oswego!

Diner Review №36

Fresh and flavorful cuisine served with an inviting friendly atmosphere. This is a family operated business where it is clear they care about attending to the customer and the food. Our selections did not disappoint. The coconut shrimp, pumpkin curry with tofu, and chow mein khee mao each were outstanding! This cozy addition to Lake Oswego is delightful and I think you also might enjoy checking it out. We will definitely be back.

Diner Review №41

Great service from their incredibly friendly staff and the food is fantastic!! Very flavorful and the spice is perfect. Will go back often!

Diner Review №42

Truly fantastic. I am by no means an expert on Thai food, I’ve eaten it for decades without much thought. This place takes it to the next level. Honestly could be the best Thai food I’ve ever tasted. I’m so glad my wife and I stopped in for dinner tonight. We’re already planning on returning.

Diner Review №43

Enjoyed dinner out with our family. The food was delicious and there were plenty of options to choose from, even for kids. The whole family enjoyed our meals and staff were friendly.

Diner Review №44

เจ้าของร้านน่ารัก ใจดีมากๆค่ะ 🥰

Diner Review №45

Everything we order was delicious and service was great! This is going to be my new favorite Thai spot. We had a hard time ordering because we wanted to try everything on the menu.

Diner Review №46

Had a great experience at the lovely and newly opened Thai Baan! I had the delicious pumpkin curry and my mom had the tasty pad thai. The staff are an adorable and delightful family. The counter girl always greets people with a smile. Each staff member was very attentive to all the guests. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and nice all around. I see major success for Thai Baan’s future!

Diner Review №47

Lovely and good portions and price. We tried this spot for takeout tonight and are very pleased. Authentic taste, They are brand new and very nice. I feel they will have a successful presence here in LO.

Diner Review №48

Diner Review №49

Spice level was perfect, absolutely delicious!

Diner Review №50

Extremely extremely extremely quality and delicious Thai food. Not your average Thai experience. The duck dishes were my favorite — and it’s not easy to make duck perfect (and very easy to make it NOT perfect) but they absolutely made it melty and everything duck should be.

Diner Review №51

Thai Baan is delicious! We had three dishes - Tom yum, pineapple curry and drunken noodle. Every bite was awesome- spicy, sweet, savory…it totally brought me back to my travels in Thailand. The atmosphere was sweet and cozy- my husband and I came for our wedding anniversary and it was quaint, with calming music and pretty flowers on the table. The Thai iced tea was so so good! I love Thai baan and will now be a regular!!!!

Diner Review №52

Pineapple curry was AMAZING. Sweet, spicy, comforting. I couldn’t think of a better way to end my week! This place is on the list for Thai from now on!!!

Diner Review №53

Staff was super nice, Thai tea was not overly sweet and was really good. Menu was laid out nicely and I appreciated the pictures of the items. Holy Basil Duck was soo good I licked my plate. Also had a wings appetizer that was great with perfectly crisp wings and a nice chili sauce. Definitely coming back again!

Diner Review №54

Excellent, flavorful Thai food! The Panang curry was especially good! Very friendly, prompt service. 5 stars!

Diner Review №55

Delicious, fresh and authentic food. We loved it!
