We are a family-owned Thai restaurant located in Beaverton, OR. We pride ourselves on using only the freshest ingredients, sourced with care, to ensure that every dish delivers a burst of flavor that transports you straight to the heart of Thailand.
This restaurant is our favorite place for dining out. We have been going to Sri Siam Thai Cuisine on average twice a week. This is a restaurant that you will just look over and think ok it is just another Thai cuisine, but it is not. Once you give it a try you will love the dishes. Our favorite dishes are ginger duck with extra vegetable and extra duck with light salt and pad thai noodles with combo of beef and shrimps.
Ordered takeout last night for dinner. The service was fast but the food was mediocre. I ordered the Broccoli Oyster Sauce and added shrimp. Description said Broccoli and carrot stir fried with oyster sauce. Paid $19 and carrots were missing. It tasted okay. I also ordered the beef jerky and that was fine. My husband ordered the Spicy Basil Duck which he said was not too bad. I don’t think we’ll be ordering from here again.
Had a great experience dining in for the first time. We usually order online but I liked the restaurant. It was clean and in a good location. Staff was really nice and attentive. I like that the spice levels were just right. Dishes taste so hot and fresh. I’ll be back.
Really tasty! The shrimp in the pad thai were cooked absolutely perfectly, super flavorful and very large and fresh-tasting. Enjoyed everything we ordered. The peanut sauce with the salad rolls was also delicious. Restaurant was very clean and service was quick and polite. Much better food than the last restaurant in this building.
Mushy overcooked under seasoned food. No spice on my medium pad see ew, one piece of scallion in the pad Thai. Paid almost $50 for my food, it was so bad not even my kids wanted to eat it.
Very rude
We ordered 3 apps and 3 entrees to go.
While ordering on the phone the customer service was great and all questions I had were clearly answered, I was even offered suggestions when I wasn’t sure what I wanted.
Walking in the front I was greeted with wonderful smells and smiling faces.
The food was amazing!! We couldn’t have been happier with the quality and taste of our meals!
We can’t wait for our next trip to Sri Siam! (Which should be soon)
Update 09/25/24 - Food was great when it was called Hot Plate. Since the change of ownership, this went downhill drastically (but the shrimp were still good). We tried it twice with new their new menu and won't go back
Fast service and the food was excellent. My husband and I both had Chicken Pad Thai. I also had the addition of mixed vegetables. To go with that was a side of white rice, 2 spring rolls and a sm. side of fried shrimp. I expected the shrimp to be a little greasy, but they were perfectly cooked and light. The rolls were also great. I can't think of anything not to love about this place. Please give this a try. If you like Asian, you'll love this place.

Seriously the best Thai I've had in the area. I've tried the famous and highly rated locals, but Sri Siam is my new favorite. And the tofu was perfectly cooked.
Great food! Quick service and quality ingredients! Very nice to our two kids too who need high chairs and booster seats!

nice people, but the food was disappointing. Pad thai didn’t have much going on and the peanut sauce for the salad rolls lacked flavor.

It's absolutely dangerous to have this new Thai food restaurant close to my house. I've been there three times already in the past week. Soooo good! One side note though, peanut sauce could use a little spicing up 😊
My new place to go too for delicious Thai food. Highly recommend it.
The food is very good! Nice service 👌 👍
I ordered online late afternoon on Monday. I had the tofu mussaman curry and the pork pad woo sen. I ordered it to be mild but it could've been mistaken as no spicy. It was all delicious and well portioned but it just needed a slight kick to bump up the flavors. I enjoyed it and will order again in the future.
Sad Hot Plate is gone, but Sri Siam might even be better. Got the orange chicken with jasmine rice, medium spice. The chicken was delicious, the spice just right and the meal satisfying. I'll try them again soon!
Really great Thai food and service. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but that won't stop us from continuing to patronize.
Great tofu with the pad thai. Love the pineapple rice. Very happy to have Sri Siam in the neighborhood.
Nice servers and good seating. Food was excellent on first visit, second time it was so salty I couldn't eat! Shrimp tasted out dated to say the least... bummer! ( Panang Curry with shrimp) I believe they changed their cook staff
I will come back soon for more of the salmon panang curry dish! Very, very good today! Pleasant table service and environment. Worth checking out.
Got yakisoba noodles and they were literally plain no sauce and had no flavor. I had to refry them at all and add soy sauce and fish sauce to make them taste good. Curry’s are okay.
Very good place! Food was delicious and I’ll definitely be coming back here!
Hey Everyone. I don't know why more people don't give 5 stars to Sri Siam, there food is fantastic. The flavors are wonderful. Every bite from my last order was superb. The chef there is extremely talented. I have ordered twice; tonight will be my third order. I can't wait. I found the staff to be dedicated and the kitchen spotless. Thank you Sri Siam for boosting South Beaverton's food scene. Owning and operating a restaurant is very difficult. Keep it up! All the best.
Stopped in recently for lunch. Was a solid meal. Fresh, hot and delicious!
Massaman curry faint hint of peanut no flavor or brightness to the food. Red curry was flat no color no spice. Both of us left unsatisfied. Overcharged she said she had voided transaction but money was taken out of my account. Watered down Americanized Version of Thai food.
Not bad. Ingredients could have been more consistently sized/chopped. Spice level was lower than desired.
This was our first time to try this restaurant and both dishes we ordered were wonderful! We had the Mussaman Curry and the Pad Ginger Stir-fry. The sauces were delicious and portions were good. Rice was included in the price. We'll be back!
Very good
We had red curry with chicken and wide noodles with pork and basil for lunch. Excellent food! We'll return. Very nice server, and fast service.
The Thai food is delicious. You must eat here.
Food and service was top notch! Love this place!
I wanted to love this place. Walked in to restaurant and there was no host and not a single person inside. After a minute she then appears. Ordered pad sa ewe and it was AWFUL so much so that after four bites I left it behind. The thai ice tea was good for $3. We never got checked on the entire time we dined. She didn't even bring us flatware until we asked for it after our food arrived. If this is how they run business the restaurant won't survive. You cannot put out mediocre food when there is so much competition around. When I gave her feedback on my food she simply looked at me and said "oh sorry"
Hot Plate used to be our go-to for Chinese food; we loved it and had been going for 12 years! But since changing owners and re-branding (there are a few of the old items, however, they don't taste the same), it's not the same restaurant at all. On the lookout for a new Chinese place. Sad to see a five star place go to one star. If it's not "broken" don't fix it. So disappointed.
Great neighborhood Thai place. Cozy atmosphere and good food.
Ordered take out. Arrived on time and waited 20 minutes for service. What I got was cold food, and curry with no rice. Paid $98 for a hugely disappointing meal. Do not recommend.
It's OK a little over priced and small portions. The ingredients are fresh though. I miss the chineese place that was there. Gave it a chance. The salad rolls were nothing special ones u can get anywhere. Won't be going back for my lunch break unless invited by a coworker.
So this restaurant must have changed hands, the sign outside has changed as well as the name. So I ordered 4 spring rolls and they didn’t ask if I meant 4 orders, or told me one order contained 4 rolls, When I paid I was shocked at how much my order was, when she brought out the order it was with 4 orders of 4 each spring rolls, and she said,”Oh sorry ,” and walked away. Never again ordering from here, the actual food we ordered was terrible.
A small, quiet place that deserves more patronage (we were the only people eating-in there and maybe 2-3 people came by for takeout in the time we were there). The Khao Soi was really good -- not too spicy but still very full of flavor, and the leftovers the next day were still just as good. And the pineapple fried rice was a big hit for adults and children alike.
This place used to have the absolute best Chinese takeout I’ve ever had and now since they changed their name they have probably the worst. It’s such a shame. Will never be going again, I basically paid 55$ for Panda Express. :(
Food is so delicious!!!!
This is my daughter's favorite spot and hands down one of my favorite places, too. Thank you, Wanda, for a great Bday Dinner, you made my daughter's day.
The fried rice was good but nothing special, but the cashew chicken was a bit of a let down. The hostess was rather rude to us, including staring at my friend who is transgender. This place probably stays in business because they are the only Chinese restaurant left near Murray Hill
They are so delicious ! And so fast! I’ll call to order when I get in my car drive 10 minutes to get there and it’s already bagged up ready for me! Such lovely people and again DELICIOUS food. My favorite is the sweet n sour chicken.
Preface: My friend's family loves this place and I thought the food was pretty good. However, when I called in myself, I was surprised about the customer service I received.
Product: 4/5
Most dishes do not suffer from an overwhelming amount of oil.
Value: 3/5
It's a bit expensive per plate ($14-$16 per entrée).
Timeliness: 4/5
Takes about 20 minutes.
Customer Service: 1/5
Called in and was surprised how rude the front desk individual was. First thing I heard was, "I'm putting you on hold".
Afterwards, I asked if they had dumplings on their menu and they told me, "Did you get the wrong number? We're a hot plate location". So I would ask them again in case they didn't hear me they replied, "Okay, you don't know what we serve. Goodbye" and they hung up on me.
Just extremely rude.
Cleanliness: 3/5
Some spots seemed like it wasn't wiped down well.
Presentation: 4/5
It's what you would expect.
Overall: 2/5
Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. If that's not a problem for you, then this may be a great place for you if you're craving Chinese food.
one of the fastest and efficient to go restaurant i’ve ever seen. every time i pick a to go order here, they also have it ready before i show up. the don’t play around when it comes to ToGo. seriously impressive.
Salt and Pepper Shrimp = the best food I’ve had in years.
Great local place . First time getting delivery in Tigard . Was cool it was their own people as opposed to Uber .
We had Pork Fried Rice , dumplings and Beef with beef deluxe . Fresh , hot and great .
There’s good and there’s not good . This is good and always good !
3.5 stars..No more combination dinners. I had to order individual entrées which costs way more than I wanted to spend, and way to many left overs for 1 person. Fried Pot stickers were really good. Chicken Cashew vegetable dish was ok. Fried rice was ok. The salt and pepper shrimp was really good last visit here. I just wish this place was consistent on flavor. Sometimes good, sometimes Ok.
It's the best Chinese food I ever had
Ordered eggflower soup and spring rolls. The eggflower soup was burnt and had a very strong burnt taste and smell, pretty much inedible because of the taste. Ive never had a restaurant burn soup before... There is no way they didnt know the soup was burnt with how strong the smell was, and chose to serve it anyways. Might try ordering once more to see if it was a fluke, but if it arrives with the same quality then the cooks just dont pay attention, and thats not a place I want to eat food from. Will update rating if next order is not burnt.
Update: ordered eggflower soup once more to have it arrive burnt a second time. This is just pure negligence. Will not be ordering food from here ever again.
Good food,, great service, and indoor seating! 😁
Really tasty Chinese food and I felt the portions were generous. We ordered the Mongolian beef, orange chicken, and chow mein - all of which were delivered hot. Will certainly continue ordering from here!
Food so hot and great quality.
Greet Food. But did get wrong item.
Middle of the road Asian fare at reasonable prices.
I ordered Chicken Chow Mein ($10.50), Chicken Fried Rice ($9.95), Beef with Vegetables Deluxe ($11.95), and rice ($0.50). Total $33.90. Prices taken from webpage and the menu on the handout. I had a $5 coupon from the monthly mailer. Was leaving a generous tip and noticed the price was $32.90. I was told they raised the price of chicken by a dollar and beef by two dollars. What a bunch of BS. Update the price on your menu if you want to charge more money. I won't be coming back. It's not about the money, it's about the dishonesty and false advertising. Enjoy the tip.
Reheated food. Not fresh. Bbq pork was refrigerator cold. When I called they said it was supposed to be like that and if I wanted it warm I could just microwave it. I'm sure they microwaved the rest of it. Also very expensive. Possibly the worst Chinese food experience I've ever had.
Love their food. Always satisfied.
Just finished a delicious meal that satisfied the family. App platter, Cream cheese wontons, Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken and sweet and sour chicken - all cooked to perfection and absolutely fresh. Hadn't ordered take out in quite awhile so was very happy with everything!
The staff was nice, I almost feel bad rating them so low. My girlfriend was wholly unimpressed with their fried rice, but their bonkers interpretation of cashew chicken was borderline hateful. I despise water chestnut, it's up there with licorice and fennel in terms of things that make me want to acid my face and peel the flesh off, and at least half of what I found in the foldable little box were these demon weeds. And they're currently imposing a dollar upcharge for it! I ate a tiny portion before I surrendered in despair, gleaning calories instead from the blessèd IPA I happened to have in the fridge. Have a clear idea of what you're signing up for before ordering from this establishment.
I love this place, the customer service is awesome. Food is delicious, you can even taste the clean oil they use. Awesome
Ide say go ahead and give a try..Verry clean.great service but food was mediocre...I would be willing to give it another try though....
Good food! Really great service too!!
Not so impressed woth this place. The food is just meh and the atmosphere is lacking.
Watch your bill and save your receipts. My son picked up a Togo order with his mom’s debit card. The order was $13.5, he added $4 tip which totaled 17.50. A couple days later my wife bank statement showed they charged $20.50. My wife had my son come back just to let them know they overcharged and that’s not right. They asked for receipt. How often you hang on to a lunch receipt? But I guess we have to save the receipts for every little thing now because you can’t trust people, even if they screwed up, it’s your burden to prove it. Anyway the point is not the amount of money or getting back the overpay, it’s just to let the restaurant know they are sleazy. People please be aware so this won’t happen to you!
Food was really good, and a decent amount for the price. Staff was very nice.
I went in there to pick up my food. I stood there for at least 10min.( Not to mention no other customer were in there but me) there were two young men at the counter and not one of them asked if I needed help. I had to tell them that I was there to pick up my order! Horrible customer service. Not to mention that my soups cabbage was rotten. So I had to throw that away.
Last visit to this place! Woman Tried to add $7.00 to my bill- had just had eye surgery and was having a hard time seeing. I had to show her the price in the menu. I was very dissapointed in this. The food was not as good as it used to be.
The food just isn’t good, I don’t think they pride themselves in what they serve.
Over priced. The quality has been hit and miss. Sad because it used to be a lot better. Just took back sweet and sour chicken that had several hard pieces. I was informed that it was cooked fresh this morning. THIS MORNING! REALLY.
We both had the chicken and vegatables lunch special. A pretty basic and simple meal, but it was good, just what we had wanted. And we were able to use a coupon to save a couple of dollars off of the price.
Excelente comida y todo es fresco
The food here is not good. All their fried foods are so heavily caked in flour you hardly feel like you're eating meat. The sauces or so heavy on the sugar that they taste like dessert, and not in a good way. They're all sickeningly sweet.
I do NOT recommend you eat here, terrible food.
Was the best Chinese food we can find in the area. But after tonight. Won't be back anytime soon if ever. I guess the manager is cooking on the weekend now. The order of fried rice was like 1/2 the normal size. Wontons were so over done. Did not want them but they still charged us. Place is going down hill! We stopped getting meat dishes cause the poor quality long ago. But now the rice and won tons too! Sucks. Gotta find a new place for Chinese food.
Nice staff but food servings are pretty small for the price
Food was out quick enough, but the quality is a little lackluster. Get it delivered if you want an adequate amount of sauce. Waitress was really nice and attentive to me and my girlfriend's water and soda. Adequately priced, but the way they make it for delivery as opposed to in house is far superior.
General tso chicken was delicious, and contained all white meat chicken. The sesame chicken sauce was a lil too orangy for my taste but good.
Cant beat it the food is always good
Lunch specials are amazing. I love the L-12, beef broccoli and Mongolian beef
Very average American Chinese fare, edible but would not go back. On the fair side of things it was a very clean establishment even if the service was lacking a bit
Love their food! I do take- out a lot - always nice size servings. Friendly staff!
Okay so i live right by here! I ordered my food and it was at my door within literally 13 minutes! Such fast service and the food is really good! Thank you!!! 💕✨
Amazing? They greeted me with huge smiles, even made friendly small talk. (I'm Black so this is rare with waiters and waitresses in general.) They gave me all the time I needed to chose my food, the food was amazing, quick, and they have gender neutral bathrooms. The lunch special is pretty cheap, too, and the Thai tea is so good! 10/10 will frequent.
Great food, great service!
This place was terrible I ordered kung Pau chicken it had frozen carrots and the sauce was watery and bland. I got it to go the lady working was going to charge me for siraccha to go cause it wasn't spicy enough. The lady working was rude had no customer service skills. Worst Chinese food I have ever had . Terrible rice too ..
Consistently downhill lately. Always double check your to go order for accuracy. They have continuously messed up our orders (the last 4 orders have all been incorrect). So either we're unlucky or there's some fundamental issues going on. Everything from missing items to incorrect orders. The taste is the only thing keeping us here. For the premium price, the expectation is our order is correct.
Good food, great service! Our server always kept our drinks full, very attentive, and always made sure everything was okay. I really like this place! Will definitely visit again.
The best place for Chinese takeout in the neighbors southwest area. The ladies are so kind, eager to please and the kitchen is fast yet the food never seems like it was at all rushed. We always get the cream cheese wontons, orange chicken and pork lo mein. Perfection for a Friday night after a long week.
Hot Plate Asian Cuisine was a great place to eat. The staff was attentive and the food was good. We ordered one of the family meals and there was plenty of food. I recommend this eatery for quiet casual dining.
Awesome food. Vegetarian Kung Pao and vegetarian yellow curry and spring rolls are a must! Oh and get them extra spicy too!
Yeah. The pot stickers are amazing. The chow mein is delicious. My wife and I have either eaten here or had take out over five times now and have yet to have a bad experience. Chicken, Beef, Pork. Try it all and you won't be disappointed!
Great food, prices are okay. It's about $10 per plate.
I really don't understand the bad reviews. It isn't really fair to give a place a bad review for being out of their delivery area, they have to draw the line somewhere. I have lived in both Hong Kong and Thailand and trust me the food is good quality, very fair portions and always arrives quick and hot! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Love this place!
Great food everytime! I LOVE the Chicken Chowmein! Big manageable pieces of chicken and great taste!
We split a take out chicken Pad Thai and an appetizer between the two of us. The portions are kinda crazy, but very tasty, more than enough to split a plate. I'm not super impressed with the spring rolls, but their other stuff is so good.
My go too place for delivery
Food is great! Exactly what i was looking for tonight.
Seriously the best orange chicken I've ever had.
Delicious Chinese food! Will be eating here again!
The staff was friendly. None of us were impressed with the food. It was the worst chow mein I have ever had. The noodles were mush and we had no vegetables in our vegetable chow mein. The meats were tough and all of the food seemed over salty.
great food and portions! pretty poor customer service
We love Hot Plate take out! Always great food with a very friendly staff.
I love the orange chicken and chicken pad Thai. Makes my stomach growl just thinking about it.
I got the Orange Chicken lunch special. Big cubes of juicy white meat chicken, white rice and fried wontons. The fortune cookies appear to be made in house too! The orange sauce was very well balanced and not overly sweet. The meat to batter ratio was excellent: minimal batter coating and big chunks of all white meat chicken breast. Service was friendly and quick too. Definitely will be back to try the other menu items!
We moved here from South Texas and have ate at many oriental restaurants along the way here. Tonight we ordered Hot n Sour Soup, Combo apt Plate, n Orange Chicken Dinner from the Hot Plate Restaurant. And the soup tasted burnt, the combo apt plate food was cold, the spring rolls had old cabbage,. When we called to complain the lady who answered the phone said "Sorry, what do you want me to do about it". Being rude the whole time, I must that say I will not be ordering from them anymore, .
Not the best service but the food is amazing and the portions are plentiful.
My wife loves the house special chow mein. It has shrimp, chicken, and beef. The price is not cheap but the amount of food is wonderful. We always split the meal and we are both happy. The two reviews about delivery areas are ridiculous. They should not be averaged in with the others. My wife likes the cleanliness of the restaurant also.
Better than Panda
It says they have wifi, but apparently you must have to be special to get the password.
I've been going there as long as I can remember. The food always taste good. The service can be slow at time in the dinner rush but they are always very nice to me and my family. I would recommend this restaurant if you want a good meal. They can be pricey.
Justin and Wanda are awesome have great food and fast service
Food was fast. Tofu was overcooked and chewy. The Pad Thai noodles were very bland. Amy's Organic frozen tv dinner style noodles are way better in comparison. Service was meh. I was one of two customers and they forgot my chopsticks and my side of rice. I got the rice, but still, no chopsticks.
Our family has been going to Hot Plate since they opened 2004!
They are a family run restaurant with GOOD FRESH FOOD, CLEAN, and SERVICE.
In responding to the negative reviews of "out of boundaries" for deliveries. Similar to school boundaries, if you make an exception to one person then others to be granted or complained. It's irrelevant to write negative reviews where it is not the owners fault!
Wow! Horrible customer service!! I just tried to call them to order home delivery for the first time. Initially I was put on hold, and after 5 mins hung up. I called back and complained about being left on hold, and was told to call back again after the hostess arrives 30 mins later. Horrible, horrible!! I don't recommend. They don't care about you!
Better than Panda Express Chinese food that delivers for when you are feeling lazy and have the cash to spend. I just wish they would deliver straight into my mouth.
Claims to have a delivery service but refused to deliver a car ride of 8 minutes way. Do not order from this place.
I love coming in and ordering, the food is great and everyone working here is so nice.
I didn't actually order from Hot Plate. I was sick today and was looking up places to order from when I realized I still had food in the fridge. I just wanted to take a moment to say that the previous reviewer, Sandy, is the most entitled sounding brat who's ever written a review. You're that angry because you were out of their delivery sphere? Get a life. I'm gonna order from Hot Plate in the future just to spite you.
I ordered schezuan chicken and I didn't like what I got. Mango paradise and its really bad and stale.I will never go again or recommend to a friend
Decent place to eat. Kung Pao a little bland, but ingredients were fresh & portion size was good. Nothing some Sriracha sauce couldn't fix. The Thai iced tea and house tea are tasty and good values. Avoid the mustard in the squeeze tube.
Delivery is quick and the food is always fantastic and hot! You get a lot of food for your money!
Love this place. One of my favs. Great sweet & sour. Pad thai. Love the decor. I usually drop in & grab a to go lunch & head back to the office.
Love this place.
good overall esp if your hungry. Fast.
Love you guys
This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. The servers are always friendly and an order of Thai iced tea comes with endless refills.
Is the food here authentic? Probably not. but it is really tasty. My favorite menu item is the sweet and sour chicken, and the lunch combo comes with BBQ pork, rice and soup (and maybe some rolls...I can't remember). What I like about the sweet and sour chicken is that it is not heavily breaded and they use white meat.
