Handcrafted from scratch dim sum
Good restaurant. Friendly staff, helpful.
Open concept. Tight seating.
Okay selection of dishes. Price ranges from $5-$7 per dish depending on what you pick. Wait for food is about 10-15 minutes.
Experience would have been much better if it was buffet style. The way is too long and hard to order if I don’t know the costs.
Food was average for me. Great for my wife and that’s all that matters ☺️.
Tried it for the first time today and absolutely loved it! The chow fun we ordered was the best we’ve tried in Columbus. It was fragrant and flavorful. The dim sum dishes were absolutely delicious. The xialongbao was just the regular soup dumpling—nothing bad just that it wasn’t anything special. But overall, we left very satisfied!
Best dim sum in Columbus!
The dim sum served here are very close to what you eat in Hong Kong. Therefore, I must visit this restaurant everytime I come to Columbus. It might be the best in Ohio. The dim sum were even more tastier in my current visit. Therefore, I am totally satisfied.
All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who want an authentic high quality dim sum experience.
If you’re a fan of dim sum, you need to check out Ty Ginger. This is THE best dim sum restaurant in town!!! The place has a cozy, lively vibe that’s perfect whether you’re going with friends or family. The staff is super friendly and quick.
Let’s talk about the food – because it’s incredible. Their Shrimp Chang Fun is a must-try. The rice noodles are soft and silky, wrapping around shrimp that’s perfectly tender and flavorful. Every bite just melts in your mouth. Another highlight is the Stuffed Crab Claws. They’re crispy on the outside, packed with REAL crab meat inside, and just bursting with flavor, absolutely worth the money. And, of course, the Har Gow is as good as it gets – thin, delicate wrappers with juicy, perfectly cooked shrimp that’s full of flavor.
If you’re looking for great dim sum, Ty Ginger is the spot. Authentic, delicious, and memorable – you really can’t go wrong here!
My understanding is that it's generally accepted that this is one of the best dim sum spots in Columbus (not that there are many).
In my experience, the dim sum has been very tasty, with a nice wide selection of options (more on the weekends).
The atmosphere is clean and bright, with some cool decor on the walls. Service is efficient but I know some people have had not great experiences.
But I don't usually go to Chinese spots for amazing, bend-over-backwards service; I go for tasty food.
We had the pleasure of dining at Ty Ginger Asian Bistro 泰潮點心, recommended by a local friend. The establishment boasts an extensive selection of dim sum, catering to discerning palates. The service is both attentive and efficient, ensuring a seamless dining experience. It’s worth noting that certain dim sum items are exclusively available on weekends, while others are absent from the weekday menu. Flavor-wise, the offerings are satisfactory—though perhaps not the pinnacle of dim sum excellence, they remain undeniably delightful. We appreciate having such a quality dim sum establishment right here in our local community.
Got four meals to go. All very good, as usual, but the Red Curry was green for some reason. Believe they must have read the order wrong.
All our meals were very good. Plenty to take home for a 2nd meal! Our waitress was attentive and friendly.
Always good
Vegetable options are ok.
My first time here, The waiter is not nice. Her face looks like angry every time she talked to us. I came here for recommendations from our family for the food quality.
Got takeout from this place. We had very high expectations, but maybe too high as we were disappointed as the food was very average. Got three different lo mein dishes and pork fried rice. Our experience has always been that lo mein typically comes with some combination of veggies such as broccoli, carrots, snow peas, etc. With ours the veggies (and the meats for that matter) were hard to even find, and these dishes were really just a bunch of Chinese seasoned noodles and not much more. They were just O.K., but we wanted more veggies and proteins for what we paid. The shrimp were extremely small. The fried rice was the yellow color and quality of what you typically see on a Chinese buffet and not very good at all. Again, maybe our expectations were too high, but we really expected more after reading reviews. For this reason we will likely try other Chinese places nearby and not sure if we will come back.
Exceptional. Best dim sum in town. Excellent red Thai curry as well. Fast and friendly service.
Very friendly and helpful service. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the Cashew Nut Chicken, Red Curry, and Pad Thai.
Great food, nice atmosphere. It's a bit pricy compared to other Chinese restaurants, but it's still worth going.

Restaurant and staff are great. Food is not… I don’t usually complain, but the both my wife and I food was not cooked enough.
The General Tso’s chicken and sesame chicken were overcooked in the center and the breading was somehow undercooked. Same with the egg rolls. The rice was very overcooked and dry.
I have been to this restaurant many times in the past, and the food was usually fine. However, this time was a major disappointment. The first dish was so salty it was barely edible, so we politely informed the waitress and asked for the next dishes to be lighter on the salt. Unfortunately, every dish that followed was just as salty, if not worse. It felt like our feedback was completely ignored. This experience left a bad taste—literally and figuratively. I’m not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon.

Excellent place to get your steamed food fix. Everything I’ve had here has been spot on (im very picky) try the bbq pork bun you won’t regret it
We used to come here bi-monthly for years. Sadly the atmosphere isn't what it used to be. The floors are dirty in need of deep cleaning on concrete, carpet cleaned or replaced. Both kitchen doors are now left open allowing noise from kitchen into dining room, an ice maker is in the dining room station, more noise.
Dining room is always cold in winter.
There is no music, just the noise.
Hopefully some improvements are made, we love the food, but these issues are taking the enjoyable dining experience away.
Best Dim Sum I've ever had in my life.
Probably the best dim sum in Columbus.
Get their Dim Sum!!! There is no other way. Derek is so kind and joyful. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to everyone. Also, this is the best Bao I have found on this side of the country.
A group of six of us went in on Sunday for an early lunch and missed the rush to get seated. Food tasted great and came out quickly. The waitress filled our drinks frequently and checked to see if we had more to order. It was clean, comfy, and easy to hear each other.

The food we ordered was mediocre and pricey. Roasted duck is something you don't want to mess with.
コロンバスで以前から行きたいと思っていたお店。点心の種類が豊富で写真付きのメニュー表示で選びやすい。お料理も味は濃すぎずボリュームもあった。ココナッツプディングはもちもちで優しい味で気に入りました。
Great restaurant
This restaurant is a one of a kind gem in Ohio! The inside is spacious and the decorations are really cute, I loved the atmosphere. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be so big inside because most of the dim sum places I've been to have been little hole in the walls but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The food is also to die for. We got the Xiao long bao, custard buns, cha siu bao, pork potstickers, and mango pomelo sago. The highlights for me were definitely the custard buns, cha siu bao, and mango pomelo sago. These custard buns are the best custard buns I have ever had at any dim sum place. The custard inside was sweet and runny and perfect. The cha siu bao were also a favorite. The meat was fresh, soft, and incredibly tasty. Definitely worth it to come here for the dim sum menu. Would love to come here again in the future.
Great food, service fast, price
Great, very friendly people working here. Wide menu of food.
A group of (6) Chinese people sat 30 mins after us and got their orders taken. We sat with no greeting, no one taking our drink orders, and when we were about to get up and leave they sent someone over.
At first we thought it was because we were a small group of three and they were taking the bigger tables first but then a Chinese (2) couple sat down 15 mins later and got served before us.
We spoke with the host which forgot we were there and who I assumed was his mom tried coming over to talk to us but at that point my mood was sour. I get the effort but blatantly favoritism is a turn off.
Food came out quick as soon after they took our order. Food is priced fairly but nothing special compared to other dim sum places we've eaten at.
Overall I would recommend somewhere else if you're looking for better service.
Thai Green curry is awesome.
Bad customer service. I'm a regular client and always order the same food. I already filled out what I wanted but the waittress with the tattoo on her phone the entire time. I asked a different skinny waittress to submit my order, she told me to wait on the waittress with the tattoo. The restaurant wasnt even busy, so what was the need to hold up to submit my food order to the kitchen ? I waited for 10 minutes and just walked out.
They were fantastic!
The Hong Kong male waiter is very rude. Reluctant to answer my question. I should have paid no tip.
This is my go-to dim sum place in the metro Columbus area. Delicious, reasonably priced, attentive service, and overall good vibes. While ordering dim sum, I also add noodles, gai lan, and peppercorn shrimp. I have brought friends and relatives to this place, and everyone comes away very full and happy.
The old lady in Front dash 😡 very bad.
But the food super good, service good.
Everything great in there but only The old lady 👵 so rude. I have alot of friends like to spend money there but they don’t like to deal with her.
I love Dim Sum and often go back to Chicago to have dim sum in Chinatown. I'm getting ready to make a day trip to visit the Chinese bakeries. I've got *many* years of enjoying dim sum as experience.
Their steamed items are good. I'm not a fan of their pricing system on the menu for dim sum items.
Some items were vastly more expensive than I expected and others were about where I expected given the current market.
The flavor on nearly everything was good. They didn't have any baked items, but we did go on a weekday.** I was not a fan of the calamari and normally I love it. This batch was very rubbery and didn't taste good. I am a huge fan of Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, but this batch was far too salty. It was disappointing. Their BBQ pork was excellent, we will absolutely get that again! Also their beef fried rice was delicate and perfect - not greasy and well seasoned without going overboard.
I know the Chinese names for most of the dim sum dishes, but not the way to spell them, please excuse my poor spelling - ha gow was fabulous, ham su gwok was not greasy and well filled, the shu mai were excellent, the wu gwok was the best I've had outside of Chinatown - not greasy, flavorful, good balance of taro to filling (I prefer more taro like this had).
**Today (7/28/24) we got to try the baked char siu bao and the baked custard buns! The custard buns were quite good. The char siu ordered separately is great, but in the bun it is different. They aren't using the same stuff in the baked buns. Very disappointed. I am *again* headed back to Chicago for dim sum and visiting the bakeries so I won't be disappointed for long 😂
Great food decent prices. Recommend the dim sum
Our server was very friendly. Most of us got noodle dishes. I got the chicken Par Thai and it was really good! I appreciate all the gluten free options available. The egg drop soup was also delicious.
We've been here a few times and loved it. This is the first time we we've encountered that the dim sum menu closes at 815? Even though we were seated at 8 and the website claims dim sum from open to close. Maybe consider updating your site. The host was pretty direct and lacked customer service.
Excellent Dim Sum selections.
My wife and I have been looking for a good Dim Sum place and this one was fantastic. The soup dumplings were amazing and the fried rice was perfectly cooked. We got there 4 mins after opening and by the time we finished eating it was packed. We will be back at every opportunity.
This place is so nice, great food, lots of dim sum options. Yum.
My understanding is that it's generally accepted that this is one of the best dim sum spots in Columbus (not that there are many).

An amazing experience! Our server was energetic and experienced and helped us pick some pick out some delicious dishes. I highly recommend the chicken lettuce wraps and the soup dumplings. Will definitely be back again!
Slow and inaccurate service. Every bit of my food was cold. I will not return.
Great food; wonderful staff and service.
Best dimsums in Columbus
If I could give zero stars I would. Server never came entire meal to check on us after serving us. We had to get up to physically find her to get our check. Honey chicken was NOT honey chicken, it was nasty.could not eat. Pad Thai noodles with chicken was terribly dry and tasted like old shrimp. Could not eat it. But forced myself to eat some because of the high cost of the meal. The lemonade tasted like strong medicine. We wasted $40 on a rare dine out meal. That’s without tip and one of us drank water!!!!!! Don’t eat here!!!!!!!
Didn't expect my server to run after me while I'm walking to my car. I thought that my card didn't go through. But the reason why was her or her boss wanted to know why she got a small tip. She wanted us to change the tip quanity.
Server at this place follows customers outside to vehicles to ask for higher tips. This is illegal.
Food was salty.
Dim sum not open until 9
Open till 8
after that you're sent away
Bad service!
Solid dim sum option on this side of town.
Fantastic Dim Sum menu offering, the stuffed crab claw was fantastic as well as the soup dumplings, though all of the food was 5 out of 5.
We went for lunch and there was a 25 minute wait, so we ate at the bar. The food comes out fast. The menu has pictures which are really helpful since it was our first time there. We ordered and split four small plates from the front. We plan on going back to try more items from the menu.
Visited this place yesterday and the overall food quality is pretty good. The dimsum prices are not shown on the menu, and they are pricier compared to other places. Restaurant is kept pretty clean for the most part. However, the bald guy that buss tables were standing there picking his nose. Very unhygienic.
The red curry was one of the best I had
Everything was so so delicious and the serous was wonderful. Would recommend
Only place to get true authentic delicious dim sum in the city. Prices aren’t cheap like other big cities with chinatowns but food is worth it.
Amazing food and service was outstanding by Derek first time here wow he made us feel like family and at home he even was extremely nice to our daughter. Will be back that’s Forsure. He deserved a million stars not 5. Went above and beyond.
Not good. Really subpar dim sum and *very* overpriced. Atmosphere was alright in some spots but we were sat at a corner table where the walls were all scuffed up, almost like it was unfinished drywall. Wobbly tables and cheap plastic tablecloths. Our server was attentive, kept our drinks full and cleared our dirty plates, but she forgot the bubble tea I ordered and I didn't even get it until after we had finished the meal and she had dropped the check.
I wouldn't come back, we came in with a party of 5 and dropped over $200 on some really not great food. For that kind of money you can get a really good meal somewhere else.
I went here for Din Sum on Easter since I'm away from home for work. The food didn't disappoint. Although I was expecting the traditional service of the carts with the food options, ordering from the din sum menu was good since there was a description of the food. Everything I ordered was delicious.
The food was okay when dining in. But today’s online order is terrible. Almost everything is not freshly cooked.
Excellent food in a comfortable and fun atmosphere, reasonable prices.
Love the dim sum
Small restaurant, need to order first then pick a table….not recommend for rush hour because they only have few tables (dine-in)..
Decent place to get dim sum. The staff suggested I get five or six dishes as a meal. I was eating solo and that was way too much food for one person.
The food is very oily and the waiter seems to be sarcastic when he was taking
Absolutely 👏 🤩
This will be my forever spot!
It is the only Asian / chinese restaurant that serves fresh chinese food and dim sum. Friendly and good atmosphere. Wish there were more authentic asian restaurants in Columbus. Most are take- out , fast food with no vibe.
On a busy Saturday at lunch time, my party of two opted out of an otherwise reasonable 20-25 min wait for a table, and were seated swiftly at the bar. After ordering from the dim sum menu, we were served in a fairly quick amount of time. Food was stellar. Staff very friendly. Atmosphere pleasantly busy. Clientele spanned a wide range, and is family- friendly. Would absolutely return.

1st time coming here, we were trying to find a new place that serve dimsum. Waste of time, service was horrible, it felt like the hostess and server did not was to serve us, was not friendly and was rushing us. The food was below average, portion small. NOT coming back at all!!! Do NOT waste your time and $$$ with this business, not worth the trobule. If I could give ZERO star I would.
Got dim sum from Uber. The siu mai, sticky rice, turnip cake are as good as what you can get in Asia. Definitely best dim sum you can get in Columbus. Hope they can keep it up.
The food and restaurant are just not good. I was excited to try the dim sum menu and the food was just very ok. And a few things were actually quite gross. The chicken fried rice was extremely dry and bland. Barely any sauce or seasoning on the rice and chicken. The place was busy on a Saturday at lunch but the restaurant was uncomfortably loud.
Not just becuase there were a lot of customers, but becuase the busses and workers were constantly throwing the dishes into the bins after cleaning up and the sound echoed and bounced off of all the walls. It was ear piercing and made for a terrible atmosphere. Not to mention how crammed the tables were together. I don't reccomend this place at all.
Anything on the dim sum menu is amazing. Going again next week. Pretty busy place. Fast serving and hard working staff
The best Dimsum in the town.
Serve with hot dish, fresh, and great quality!
The place was packed at the time we went, so pretty popular. Food is perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty; the combination of spices is quite nice.
We got the Dim Sum menu, which is a paper menu that lets you pick and choose what items you want by marking the checkbox next to the item, out of a very large selection of items. They then bring out every item as soon as they are ready. Really neat experience but a little hard to gauge how much food you order and it will be enough.
Great food and decent prices! We’ve yet to have anything bad from here. The curry chicken is some of our favorite!
Dim sum was amazing definitely coming here again.
So great to have soup dumplings again. Best dim sum we have had since being in New York!
Great food...
戴眼镜说广东话老太太服务员像是我们欠了她很多钱似的 态度极差 来这里消费还要被白眼是很不好的体验 希望老板可以管一管
I had been here once before, but came this time for Dim Sum.
We ordered a huge variety and found that 25% or so of the dishes were "very good". The remainder were ordinary And expensive. 4 people, $200, lunch with tip.
I LOVE scallion pancakes and so we ordered 2 orders of them and the Resounding flavor was, unfortunately, Old Grease...🤢
The dumplings (veg and chicken) were ordinary and too thick. Again, Not very flavorful.
The saving grace was the service, which was excellent, however, that will not lure me back.
I have been 3 times total and each time food flavors and quality were mediocre, at best.
Dim sum tasted above average but the price was Jacking up and down.
The dim sum was awesome! Fried rice was the best I had, and the server was so kind. She accidentally gave us an incorrect item and corrected it, and gave us the mistake on the house. The flavors are spot on. Haven't tried a dish that I didn't like.
My new favorite lunch restaurant! The dim sum menu was extraordinary. So many delicious options.
Love the food. This is my go to place whenever I am in Dublin. Service is great and they can get you in and out during your lunch hour.
This was a baller dim sum experience. I don’t even know where to start. Pros: menus showed both the dim sum with the picture which was extremely helpful, staff very friendly and conversational… and most importantly the food was tasty and authentic. All the dim sum came out FRESH. I can’t recall all the specific things we ordered but it was mostly shrimp and it was packed with meat. Standouts were the fried shrimp ball and pork buns for me. Obviously you can never go wrong with scallion pancakes or short ribs. Next time I’d probably order a side of BBQ pork fried rice. I appreciated how the staff stopped by to check on us, refill water, and chit chat about the food etc. The only thing that would enhance the experience is if we had our own soy sauce dispenser (you get soy sauce with jalapeños or a sauce with chili pepper). Overall though it was a 6/5 experience and all my friends and I felt like we’d definitely come back. As a random aside, the bathrooms were very clean.
Been a couple times and just haven't enjoyed the food. Thought it might have been a fluke, but unfortunately I don't think so. Not the best place to dine in.
I forgot my to go box and the brother chased us to give it to us in the parking lot. What a true hero
No words, amazing. One of my new favorite places.
Variety of dimsums but limited to some on certain days. Price is reasonable and food was ok. Found hair on the food but didn't complain.. it happens.. service was ok, didn't expect as much..
I used to like the food there but recently they have charged tips without saying anything and it is charged 20% even for lunch. At least they should tell you they have charged tips. They just gave us the receipt and even said we can still add tips.
UMMMM Dim Sum
The lady in front of the desk offered super poor customer service. We won’t come back this place.
I really enjoyed their dim sum menu. Everything was delicious.
i dont know what to say anymore. their foods (especially the dimsums) are super good. and the best thing about them is they are an authentic chinese restaurant!!!!! my friend brought me there, and i was coming back for them at the next week. and i did 3 times online orders from them too!!!!! super love!!!!
