First time trying Thai 999 and it is the best thai food I've had in the area. I ordered the peanut noodles which were very flavorful and perfectly spicy. My husband got the pad thai which was delicious as well. The portions were big enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. The staff was very friendly and we will definitely be going back soon to try more!

Went here to celebrate mother’s day with family. The staff were very nice and engaged with us a lot. The food was delicious and tasty. We were given very good tips about the food and the spice levels that really helped us decide what we wanted to eat. Friendly atmosphere, we were able to engage in some nice small talk with the staff. Me and my family truly enjoyed this mother’s day lunch thanks to them!

I called the restaurant at 8:07pm knowing that they were closing in 23min an gave them my order. They were fast, polite, and most importantly our food was amazing. Beef/Pork Thai Fried Rice, and Mixed Seafood Pad Thai Noodles. Oh and the Fried Shrimp Dumplings will be ordered again.

I arrived @8:05pm and the host promptly walked back and said my name. I just left with my food after being told “I thought you said 8:15”. I don’t appreciate being lied to. I might be back. The owner who is not handicapped likes to park in handicapped spaces.. looks fine to me. Had no issues loading and unloading a huge cart full of produce.

I have eaten there several times and was disappointed that the noodles in "Drunken Noodles" were not stir fried flat rice noodles but the same noodles as in Pad Thai. Totally changes the dish. I called and was told they serve the same noodles in all noodle dishes dishes.... I won't be back.

I ordered the cashew dish, and while it was tasty, it didn’t have enough vegetables, it was loaded with cubed tofu (which wasn’t mentioned in the description, and I will not eat), it was soupy, and they were stingy with the cashews…funny, since that’s what the dish is called! I also ordered spring rolls, which were meh. Frankly, I just had some frozen spring rolls yesterday that were far better.
For the price, not worth it. We won’t be going there again.

When looking at the ingredients there was no mention of tofu. Also very stingy with vegetables. For what they charge I should have left over, still hungry even with a side of spring rolls.

This is such a hidden gem! The food is consistently good, affordable, and the employees are so friendly. The curries and noodle dishes are our favorites. Another cute highlight are their seasonal decorations - not a make it or break it fact, but just a fun thing to look forward to every time you visit!

We had a group from Mentor visit Thai 999 Express in Concord Township and I found their Restaurant both accommodating and dishing up delicious food! The service by Annie was expedient and accurate! This Is one restaurant that I can recommend a Vegan 🥣 Meal at a reasonable $13 that actually fills you up. This location is closed on Mondays. I enjoyed the Thai fried rice and Tofu dinner with a Bubble Thai Iced Tea. The Tofu was fried to a 🙂 nice golden brown and delicious. This was literally one of the best Vegan meals I've ever had! The Bubble Thai Iced Tea has a Good and Unique flavor. There is a definite learning curve for safely drinking your 🧋 bubble tea which you may want to review with your server if you've never had this experience before. Call and ask which delivery services they use if you can't experience this restaurant in person, because YES, it's that good!

We had a great experience here! The spring rolls and crab rangoon were wonderful - they are homemade and very flaky. Our meals were large portions and very flavorful. The waitress was very attentive and also very sweet to our two young kids. Will be back!

LOVE. this is me and my boyfriend’s favorite restaurant in NE ohio, i always have friends and family try this place.

I came down with a cold this week and ordered their Tom yum noodle soup with chicken instead of seafood. Made me feel so much better. Was so delicious I almost cried.

There is no option of giving a minus star other wise I will give a minus 4 stars. I will never get food from this restaurant again. I ordered a stir fry squid with basil. What I got was an ugly mess of old small pieces of squid, near raw string bean, and other vegetables. It looks more like an already eaten soup more than a stir fry.

I am a Thai and usually I will give most Thai restaurants a benefit of the doubts that they americanized the foods to please American customers, meaning I already lower the standard of the foods that I expected to get. But I can't even give them that credit. This is OH and there aren't that many Thai restaurants in the area, if this is VA this restaurant will not make it.

This was my first time trying a Thai food and I can say I loved it. They have a whole bunch of vegan/vegetarian options which is really great. I would definitely come back again, the portion size was amazing for the price we pay!

I am blown away by how delicious everything I tried here was. You can tell it was freshly prepared and everything was hot and made to order. I couldn't resist trying a little bit of everything and can't wait to go back and try more. The service was friendly and the server was on the ball for refills, takeout containers, and explaining what everything on the menu was and how hot it would be.
The dining room was larger than I thought it would be, with several seating options.

Amazing cuisine. I’ve actually never had Thai food before, matter of fact I’ve hardly experienced Asian food in general. My relative who is a regular brought me here and the sweet chili fried rice was so damn good. Apparently they have levels of spice, and I will be returning soon to try the 3/5 this time. Portions and prices are equalizing and the seating area is very clean, comforting; dishes are served fast and above all, FRESH.

This place should have a line out the door to eat here. Honestly, some of the best food (Thai or otherwise) I have had (speaking as a 300 pound man). It would not surprise me if, one day, it is considered easier to escape from Alcatraz back in the day than to get an open table here.

I started with the spring rolls which were fresh and piping hot. The insides were perfectly peppered and the chili sauce served to complement well. For my main dish, I had the crispy chicken fried rice... where to start with this one???

The chicken itself was juicy, cut-with-a-spoon-tender, salted perfectly, and with a nice, crisp breading that is fried to perfection. If Colonel Sanders were alive today, you would be getting KFC served a la Thai 999 Express.

Now, for the rice itself. I ordered a level 4, and was warned it might be a bit much. I did get a little bead or two of sweat, but it wasn't overpowering. Mind you, I enjoy spicy foods and have built a tolerance. Your mileage may vary. As far as the taste quality of the rice, this is where Thai 999 Express earned its wings with me. I love fried rice, and I (perhaps unfairly) judge an Asian restaurant's quality by their fried rice. Let's be honest, if a restaurant can't make good fried rice, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the menu? Thai 999 Express has, hands down, the absolute best fried rice I have ever had.

If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and eat here. You're welcome.

Fantastic food: fresh, delicious, colorful. The service was outstanding. I noticed a lot of regulars stop in, and the host/server/owner greeted everyone by name. Definitely worth coming back to again and again. Also, loved that they have a vegan menu and make sure to ask about allergies and dietary restrictions.

Everything was delicious and they were so friendly and accommodating. I had the red curry noodles with chicken. It was so flavorful and had the perfect amount of kick. This is all family made and you can tell in the richness and quality of food. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were big! I will visit anytime I am in the area.

Such a nice lunch! We arrived with a group of 7 and were seated immediately. The server was very kind and personable, and the food was delicious. Our newborn son was in a bad mood and was a little loud, but the server was very understanding and even offered to refill his sippy cup for him!

First time there, ordered takeout. Got spring rolls and peanut noodles with shrimp. Excellent taste and good portion sizes for the price. The few moments I spent with the staff there were pleasant - they were very friendly.

Overall, I was very impressed and will certainly be a return customer. Well worth the drive from Roaming Shores to get their food.

Absolutely the BEST Thai food around Mentor. The staff are friendly and the food is always prepared fast and tastes absolutely amazing. The drunken noodle dish is very popular and it’s amazing. You can also choose your spice level 1-5, it’s a different kind of hot, spice hot, if that makes sense. The spice definitely adds depth to the food. The Thai tea was some of the best tasting tea I’ve had as well, and I drink tea everyday. Go here and get some food, you will not be disappointed.

When Thai999 first opened their Pad See Ew was cooked to perfection! They used the right noodles, wide flat noodles that were caramelized nice and brown. But in the past two times I've ordered it I was disappointed, the noodles are Pad Thai noodles and flavor is not nearly as good as it used to be.. on top of that the price went up significantly.

The food here is absolutely amazing. They could use an extra hand or two around. The food just makes it all good. I look forward to trying their food as take out.

WOW!! We ordered 15+ entrees and appetizers and every. single. thing. was AMAZING!! Super flavorful, delicious, perfect spice level and good portion sizes. Would absolutely recommend this place! Try the shrimp dumplings, the fried rice, the pad thai, pretty much anything--you will not regret it!

Went there for lunch and tried the pumpkin curry. All I can say is WOW! There is no shortage on portion size. Very friendly atmosphere and will definitely be a regular customer.

This is my go to for asian cuisine in the area. Amazing flavors, and it was an avenue to try many Thai dishes I had never had! They have so many options, and even vegan options if you need as well.

First time here as out of town family wanted Thai food. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. The food disappointing. Ginger chicken was tasteless, sweet and sour chicken , all sweet no sour, had to add hot sauce to cut the sweetness. Panay curry was fair at best according to family and chicken low mein was lacking flavor. All sauces were very runny, no body,. Pricing was very high for the quality and portions. I rarely give a bad review, but for the price, we were expecting far better quality dishes.

This used to be my favorite Thai place. I would travel 25 minutes just to get food from here regularly enough that the staff knew my order and it was usually pretty on point and very affordable. I came in with my husband yesterday and found that the prices were raised on everything by $3. I get that the cost of food is going up and it would need to be offset, but that price hike is outrageous. This place is now a lot higher then the other local places near me. To top it all off, the now $8 summer rolls that we ordered were hard and tough, and when the peanut sauce we had originally ordered with it (knowing it's extra, it always has been) didn't come out and the waiter asked for it, a lady in the back yelled back at him loudly "make sure you charge them a dollar for it!" After that experience, this place has lost my business. I'm not driving almost a half hour for overpriced Thai food with rude staff.

The food was great but the prices on the menu and what I was charged were not the same. The girl working there could not explain it. Everything I ordered was 2-4 dollars more on my bill then on the menu.

I ordered Pork Panang curry and I was totally deceived. I could literally count pork slices in this curry. There are 4 pieces of thin pork slices with lots of green beans and vegetable. I thought i ordered pork panang curry not vegetable panang curry, its not even funny.

Well...I forgot how to navigate the heat thing on door dash and they still have not updated it. This time I ordered Drunken Mama beacuse the menu say yellow egg noodles. Look at the picture and tell me if those look like yellow egg noodles. Nope thats ramen. Taste was fine but just now what I ordered. It was also supposed to be basil heavy..no basil. I did get the mixed seafood for the 4 buck upcarge. Holy mother of God it stunk up the entire house. I thought it was bad but luckily not.
The food is just as expected. In fact the spring rolls at 5 for $4.95 are a good price and quite tasty. My low rating is for the Drunken Noodle dish. First, on Door Dash, there is a heat rating system, BUT it does not say which number is high or low. The issue is that 1 could be high in one place but the lowest elsewhere. I am specifying because I know certain people will find that point to be petty. It is not meant that way. Secondary is the upcharge for certain proteins. I ordered scallops for an extra $2.00. I got 2 scallops. I realize sea scallops are expensive though they do not cost a buck apiece especially in bulk.
I would suggest negating the upcharge if there is so little. I would love to try the duck on the menu; the fear is that it would be the size of a Cornish hen.

Hectic. We have been here a couple times and the food has consistently been very good. Both times we have dined in and both times the service was less than satisfactory. Appears as if they do a good take out business but while dining in, you are surrounded by waiting Grub Hub, Uber eats drivers. Not a very relaxing atmosphere. We will more than likely be back but I am hoping the ownership sees this review and takes control of the situation.

Very good food, everyone is so nice

This used to be my favorite place. The food is okay now. They Constantly forget your food that you ordered and don't put it in the bag. In the past month I've been there 3 times and each time my order has been a different price but I've ordered the exact same thing each time. The staff is rude and dont wear a mask around their face during a Pandemic. Its sad because this used to be a good place to eat.

On 2 visits and ordering takeout only, everything was just okay and nothing special. However I will return and try more elaborate and spicy dishes just to see if my rating could be higher. If so, I will update this review. Sadly, Thai food is pretty scarce around here.

Tonight my dinner wasn't edible. I gave 2 stars because I have had good meals before Covid. It was unbelievably salty and my crispy tofu was hard like a rock and full of grease. It really was that bad. I ended up having some of my husband's dinner. Which was fair. Going to have to go elsewhere. I'm sorry. After 5 of the 8 times we've ordered from you the quality and taste have not been consistent. And I tried calling, the phone is off the hook.

Their food is always delicious, I just wish they also offered online ordering other than with delivery services as the line was busy when I tried to call and order.

Introduced my wife to Thai food tonight via takeout from Thai 999 Express. This was my first experience with Thai 999 Express. Absolutely fantastic! Great balance of flavor. We will definitely be back soon.

Good food if you can get through their phone line.. I've tried today for over a half hour, The phone rang busy the entire time. I ended up ordering food from another establishment. I wish there was a way to fax in an order or maybe a second phone line..

The first two times I ordered the food was fantastic. I ordered tonight and it is tasteless and not edible. I always order the same thing at the same spice level. Money down the drain.

I did door dash with this place. Food was horrible, nor was it even close to what I ordered AND it looked like someone had eaten some of it and put it in the container.

Worst meal that I have gotten here. I always get the same thing every time I order here but this time my meal was horribly salty that you can’t even eat it. This place has changed a lot I’d say. It used to be one of our favorite place to order but I think this will be our last one for now.

Nowadays when I crave Thai food, I crave Thai 999 Express specifically. You can order delivery through the Yelp app and it’s honestly become dangerous. Love. I love this place. Also, Thai iced tea has been on point every single time.

Love that they have a separate vegan menu- it's always nice when to have a choice. Mainly take-out and delivery as there are only a few small tables but the owner's son said that they are moving further down in the plaza to a larger unit. The vegetable spring rolls were bland but we enjoyed everything else we ordered and can't wait to try some more dishes!

Everything is hot and fresh. The staff is super friendly and I always have a great experience when I go there! Would recommend to anyone!

This place is a dream come true for anyone who enjoys Thai food. The menu is extensive, the food always fresh & flavorful, and, best of all, they have a large vegan menu too. In fact, one of the owners told me that they can veganize everything on the menu except the curries so this restaurant is ideal for plant based customers.

I'm partial to the Drunken Noodles and the Pineapple Fried Rice myself as well as the vegetable dumplings appetizer. For spicy entrees, you can customize your heat level from a one (pretty bland) to a five (sheer perfection but you'll be asked at least once if you're absolutely sure you want that level of spice). They're meticulous about making sure the orders are exact; I haven't experienced any food mix ups or omissions from my orders unlike other take out restaurants in the area.

This is primarily a take out restaurant but they do have a few small tables where you can eat in. It's a little pricier than other local establishments but so worth it to get expertly prepared, fresh food.

Love this place better than any Chinese place around

Happened upon this hidden gem and was so happily surprised. The menu is wide ranging and authentic (Drunken Mama! Pad See Ew!), and our food was very good. Very limited seating as this is mostly a take out place, but we enjoyed the very friendly staff while we dined in. Definitely will be back often!

Saw all the great reviews and thought I would try again. I was disappointed. The first time I ordered takeout, the items were Pad Thai and Green Curry Chicken. The Pad Thai was dry and tasteless. The Green Curry Chicken was supposed to be Level 1 but was so hot it burned my mouth. The second time I ordered takeout, the Crispy Chicken Basil chicken was dry and tough to chew. However, the Green Curry Shrimp was wonderful. So, I enjoyed 1 out of 4 menu items. I'd stick to the curries, avoid crispy chicken.

Best ever for my favorites but, go ahead and try Crab Rangoon, hot wings and the Chef favorites. Love em all.

Just picked up lunch here for the first time. Called in order, ready in 10 minutes. Great service. Massaman curry was fantastic. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I love this place! We tried it a few months ago and keep going back to try new dishes. We recommend it to everyone we know. The food is always fresh and delicious! I love the pineapple fried rice.
