TY FUN’s mission from the start has been to offer consistently excellent fresh authentic Thai cuisine in an upscale and fun atmosphere. TY FUN was established in 2006 by Bangkok native Sunny Ting. Since then TY FUN has gone on to be recognized as Cleveland’s premier Thai restaurant, winning awards every year. ZAGAT (2013 & 2017) named TY FUN among the top ten restaurant in Cleveland.
My friends and I stopped in here with a craving for Thai food. Overall, I am glad we chose this place, and I would recommend it to anyone with even the smallest hankering for Thai cuisine! For appetizers, we tried the Ty Fun Delight, which had fried tofu and spring rolls; as well as the Wonton Chicken, which was a deep fried meal. They were good for what they were. The Wonton Chicken felt a little bare, like there just wasn't enough flavor. I also tried the Tom Yum Soup with tofu, and it was very delicious. Exactly what was described. For meals, my friend and I both ordered the Masaman Curry, so I included only a picture of the one I got with chicken. The curry itself was good and had just the right amount of spicy flavor. The rice portion felt a little small, unfortunately. My other friend got the Pad Thai, which was also quite delicious, if a little on the dry side. I tried out the Thai Iced Tea as a drink, and it was the perfect complement to the heavy and rich tasting curry. Overall, a positive experience!
At first I thought Ty Fun was going to be yet another one of Cleveland’s ubiquitous but unremarkable Thai restaurants, but we ended up having a pretty tasty meal. Freshness was the name of the game, from the lightly crispy - but not dry - spring rolls and fried tofu, to the citrusy and umami-packed papaya salad (though the romaine lettuce was an unusual addition), to the wok-kissed stir frys. My only real gripe has to be the profusion of extra crunchy green beans that infiltrated nearly every dish. The service meanwhile was beyond lightning fast, the staff were super friendly, and the space was hip and bright and clean. Definitely a solid choice when you’re in need of a southeast Asian fix and don’t have time to wait.
Limited free parking but there is a paid parking lot. Outdoor seating available. Everything was deliciously flavorful. We had beef salad, shrimp curry, chicken (chicken was moist and flavorful; kiddo ate the whole thing). The service was excellent. The owner is attentive and values customer satisfaction. I highly recommend this place, whether for lunch or a cozy dinner.
My gf & I visited 𝐓𝐘 𝐅𝐔𝐍 for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered chicken potstickers, mango 🥭 lemonade 🍋🍒🧊🍃, chicken with egg noodles, and shrimp stir fry. I recommend getting level spicy 1 🌶️ for all foods, anything level 2-4 is difficult to enjoy. Great service, clean restaurant, great drinks. Definitely a place for a nice dinner or lunch.
My wife and I went here for a late lunch craving Thai food. The service was great. Everyone was attentive. The food (chicken pad Thai and chicken panang red curry extra spicy) was amazing and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant was very clean and cozy. Everyone was very friendly. It was a perfect ending to our date!
Not the most traditional American style Thai, it feels more authentic. We loved it. Wish we lived closer.
TyFun is 5 star all the way. Great menu choices all full of flavors and always comes to the table hot and the presentation very appetizing. Friendly service and impeccable cleanliness. The best in the area.
Excellent food in a quiet, charming restaurant. The portions were generous, and the taste was excellent.
We'll be back with friends.
Best Thai food spot in all of Cleveland! Literally can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The owners and staff are so friendly & caring they really know how to treat you like family. Thanks Ty Fun Thai Bistro!
Some of the best Thai food in Cleveland. Order anything and you won't be disappointed. Really good homemade key lime pie and spring rolls.
Ordered ubereats from here after not eating in person for about a year and the place has completely gone downhill. Ordered a pad thai mild with chicken and pad thai spicy with tofu. Pad thai tasted absolutely nothing like I remember and the noodles did not coat the sauce very well. Spicy pad thai was so spicy that even my strong spice tolerated girlfriend could not take more than a few bites. I wonder if the previous chef left the restaurant or something because the food was absolutely horrible. Also charging an extra $1 for chicken in pad thai is criminal.
Such good food! We got the curry duck and Thai fried rice and it was amazing 🤩
Me and my friend love this place. She has a fish allergy and they always accommodate. We always miss this place and highly recommend. Casual and not greasy, totally worth it.

I had my 50th birthday party here on 10/12 in their Blue Buddha room. Everything from the classy atmosphere, to the amazing food and attentive service was top-notch. After visiting Thailand earlier this summer, it was a wonderful call back to an unforgettable trip. Highly recommend!!
Un lugar pequeño pero de comida exquisita. Vale la pena comer allí, no saldrás decepcionado
I really enjoyed this place. We ordered two mocktails: mango lemonade and no-jito. Both drinks were delicious. For food, we had spring rolls, papaya salad, panang curry, Thai basil fried rice, and chicken pho noodles. I loved everything, especially the Ty basil fried rice, except for the pho noodles. The sauce was a bit too strong for my taste.
This is a cozy Thai restaurant in Tremont. Its really a gem. Everything was fresh
I got the coconut Thai soup with tofu. It was delicious. My friend got green curry and I wish I would have ordered it. I had a bite and it was so rich. I ordered the chicken teriyaki. It was also wonderful. The service was above par. We will be coming back very soon!
Salmon chue chee was excellent. The heat was just as I like it.
love this place, great food, both vegetarian options and chicken meals are good. love their red curry and drunken noodles.
The food was very tasty! I would give the main dishes 5 stars but the one thing I didn’t love was that the potstickers were fried. The service was amazing the waitress was very kind! The outside patio was very nice! The one thing I would love to have at this restaurant is boba I think it would be a great addition! So the only complains I have are the potstickers and no boba other than everything was very good! I definitely recommend this restaurant!
I love this place. It’s always so good. The service is phenomenal. Would recommend!!!
Oh my goodness, everything my boyfriend and I ate from Ty Fun was so delicious. We shared the prawn tempura rolls. I could have an IV-drip of the dipping sauce and be totally happy 😊. My boyfriend and I shared our entrees of seafood pad thai & duck krapow. Yum!! We both thought that there were parts of the duck that were seasoned with salt a bit too heavily. But not every piece was affected, and it did not detract from how good everything was. I would come back and try it again. We had a lovely dining experience. Thanks, Ty Fun!!
Excellent & super fresh food!
Wow! Amazing super fresh unique taste in every bite. Hennessy approved, if you know you know.
The food was great! The lemonade beverage that I had. I wish I had some right now. It was delicious.
We went there while in town (from Cincinnati). My girlfriend is from Thailand and she really enjoyed the food and service staff
Great food, especially for a group, but make sure to make a reservation in advance. The service was also amazing, and they were very accomodating for birthdays.
The food is really just awful especially heeding the other reviews. I think it’s because of the demographic people they serve. Not authentic Thai food at all. The tom yum soup isn’t made with lemongrass and has celery. The papaya salad doesn’t have real chilies just red pepper flakes. It also has bell peppers which is abnormal. And for this quality, the food is way overpriced. Besides that the service and ambience was decent.

Came upon this delightful restaurant while briefly in town. We definately will make a trip back.
The food was beautifully presented. The taste matched the looks! Our se4vers were top notch as well.
Be sure to park on the restaurant designated parking. Otherwise it will cost and streetwise is rather congested and narrow.
Definately make this place a stop while in the Cleveland area.
餐點好吃!
Highly recommend! Best Thai ever! I recommend the red curry panang with chicken with the papaya salad.
Food is amazing
Great food and real kind staff. Had a work lunch there, and looking forward to visiting again!
The food was excellent. I don't like that paid parking requires me to download an app on my phone. That's disappointing yet the food was good despite the place being really small
Absolutely Amazing!
The lady who I think is the owner also cooked and my food was so delicious.
The Medium is hella spicy so be careful.
The waitress was also sweet as pie!
I will be back!
The food was good, there was good flavor and spice. I had the pad Thai and the duck both were decent but nothing spectacular. I enjoyed it none the less and would say it's worth trying if you're looking for some decent food.
Horrible!!! The spring rolls had literally just cabbage in them. Both of our noodle dishes didn’t taste like anything. Their idea of spicy is just adding red pepper flakes. Go to banana blossom instead!!
The restaurant is in a cute spot and the food is very good, although a little expensive. I would have preferred paper menus to the online ordering at the restaurant, but our food came out quickly, and the waitstaff was still very attentive. The spice level on everything seemed slightly lower than at most thai restaurant, so I would order a level up than you usually do.
My foreman lives across the street. Not my kind of food. Very popular place, and I hear good things about
Wonderful place! Great ambiance, craft cocktails, and very delicious food.
This place used to have better food. Now once you sit down you scan online menu and order online. They bring the food out. Not such a good atmosphere.
I’m not sure if management changed. You have to order online even at restaurant at your table and they don’t follow the instructions on the order. Really disappointed as this was one of the favorite restaurants for my daughter and she is completely disappointed now…:(
I feel bad but just not very good. Ordered the pad thai at the spiciest level and it was the most bland thing ever.
Nice place. Good food, service, and ambiance. Enjoyed the stir fry mixed veggies with tofu. Edamame was okay.
We ate here recently, and loved the food and service. I ordered pineapple cashew fried rice with chicken and really enjoyed it. The portion was large, I couldn't eat it all. This is what I order as a test dish usually and I was very pleased. Next time we go, I'll try the soup and maybe a curry dish. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
It's a nice place, with good food and (for us at least) super fast service. Orders are placed via an app, with optional additional ingredients available, and a notes section for other requests. Even tho it was mobile-ordering, the staff were still very attentive, so it would have been easy to talk to someone if I needed to. I don't know if I'd go out of my way to come here, but it's good food if you're in the area.
Delicious food and friendly atmosphere
Super food. It is pricy. But big quantity. I personally suggest, split between two. We ordered soup. It was good for two adults. We ordered three main course dinner, about $16 each for 5 adults, and at the end we got the leftovers with us. I highly recommend. A superior Thai Restaurant chef-owned. Sorry, I couldn't take pictures. Please take my words. You will enjoy but of it.
Hate leaving bad reviews, but this is generally bland and uninspiring. I had the pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. The chicken was very dry. Sauce was very mediocre. Tasted like take out. There are Thai places within driving distance that put in substantially more effort.
Rated four stars for service because we were attended to quickly and they were friendly.
Food was good but they took forever to make my pad Thai. Unfortunately I had to take it to go. I just think the one person working the dining area was overwhelmed.
This was truly and experience. Drinks were great, food was amazing and service was exceptional. Waited too long to go here because was such am amazing time. They even sang happy birthday!
Overall great experience and the food was fantastic!! Service was a bit slow but we enjoyed our time visiting. Definitely will go again if we get into town.
Very unprofessional they made me wait 30 minutes after pick up time never recommend them ever again
Delicious food and quiet place clean
Great food and friendly and good service a must go to eat there
Food was delicious! Massman Curry was one of the best I have had!
Their food is phenomenal! My girlfriend visits every 3 months from NYC and always insists that we go here for the crispy duck.
Tonight's pad thai was a bit heavy on the fish sauce, but everything was fresh and cooked correctly. We sat on the patio in a blind spot from the bar, and yet the servers were attentive and never missing for too long.
Favorite dishes: pad thai, masoman curry, panang curry, crispy duck, and basically every single appetizer on the menu!
This is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant!
Ordered online, we specifically checked to make sure they were open because it's Easter. Not anywhere on their website or when we called or when we ordered did they say anything about being closed. $50 and 20 minute drive later and no food.
We stopped by on a weekend before heading to a concert and really enjoyed Ty Fun Thai Bistro.
The service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming.
The location was in the heart of Tremont. The inside looked like it could feel a little crowded, but the patio had more room. Parking lots can get full quickly, so plan ahead or prepare to walk a bit.
We skipped the appetizers, choosing to order cocktails and entrees. I had the "One Night in Bangkok" and found it to be the perfect combination of fruity and boozy. My entree was the Duck Krapow and l was truly impressed by the combination of flavors! Herby, sweet, spicy, garlicky. The skin was crispy and the duck was tender and juicy. Somewhat overcooked, but not enough to effect the taste or my rating.
I wish I lived closer, because I would certainly be ordering from here weekly!
Unfortunately Ty Fun has gone way down hill. In addition to increasing their prices, they now charge an automatic 1.75% processing fee on the entire bill. No restaurant in the city I've been to does this. I'm sure they'll blame the pandemic and just make the customers eat up the cost. I would've bit my tongue if the food was great but it wasn't. Maybe they didn't think we'd notice but the pad thai was not only bland but also had a MOUND of shredded carrots, probably so they could cut back on the noodles. Same with the flavorless papaya salad--there was more shredded carrot than papaya. That night we probably had a whole pound of carrots. With all of the above plus slow and uncaring service, we will not be returning.
Exceptional from start to finish, great atmosphere and everything was fresh and home made
Little cute place with great food.
PLEASE DON’T GO IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY! We were being FORCED to tip! Honestly for two of us the bill was $142, which I felt over priced for one bottle of wine, one appetizer and red curry So I didn’t write anything for tip I was waiting on my partner to come so he can help what to tip. Meanwhile lady at register forced me to put a tip more than five times. When I didn’t agree and informed the same to my partner he told cashier not to force us to tip minimum $20/$30. When he said please don’t force us what to tip you , she stared speaking in her language which I couldn’t understand and then yelled at us saying that “so that’s what you’re gonna do? Not tipping us, that’s what you do? “ I felt unsafe about that lady’s behavior to be honest. If I knew staff is this rude and aggressive I would’ve never visited.
Food & server both were good but the cashier rudely asked for a tip 4-5 times before we paid for the food. Cashier’s behavior was unexpectedly bad & rude. I wish I had a proof to show the owner so he/she knows that I am not reviewing for no reason.
This is the BEST Thai food I've had. I came in with zero expectations and I was blown away. I ordered the massaman curry with tofu and veggies. I told my friend that if this was my last meal while alive, I would die happy. 😘
So delicious and I could tell everything was prepared fresh! So crisp!
I Love the food quality here! I love everything here actually. The choice of food is abundant. Everything's very fresh, hot, and flavorful. I enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. I don't drink alcohol but the quaint bar when you walk in is very nice.
I wish I can come more often, I live in Medina.
When I'm in this area This is Where I Come to eat!
***** You all deserve 5 stars.
The food here was incredible. My wife and I don’t eat out much because I usually feel like I can make most meals we have better. This was definitely an exception to that rule. I had the Duck Krapow. It might have been the best duck I’ve ever had. The skin was crispy, inside juicy, and the flavor was delicious. My wife had the seafood pad Thai. The seafood that came with it was legit. Huge shrimp, meaty scallops, calamari, and mussels. The sauce was perfect as well. We will be back!
We had a very disappointing experience. We were the only customers in the restaurant the entire time. We sat for a long time without getting waters or seeing a waitress, while the staff ate their own lunch and took care of online orders. When we did order, the waitress seemed confused about the menu, making it frustrating to place our order. We ordered two house salads, which came out as iceberg lettuce and a few sad vegetables with a steaming hot side of peanut sauce and no other dressing. I ordered the eggplant stir fry with brown rice. It came out with white rice swimming in oil. We will never come back.
Hands down the best Thai I’ve had in Cleveland. The massaman curry is unreal delicious!
Great food and service!
Delicious food and the staff is super friendly. I always look forward to eating here!
Yummy! Great service!
Food was delicious, the staff was very nice.
Fairly small place but food and service was excellent!
Got the steak pad Thai, cooked and seasoned great.
The food is awful and the cashier didn’t even know what apple pay is.
I ordered Tom Kha and I can only taste coconut and nothing else. It is very bland and it is definitely not for Asian. Plus, it is expensive.
Food was great and all the staff were super nice.
I will be traveling to Thailand soon and wanted to get accustomed to some of their cuisine. I tried the chicken wontons and the Kra Pow chicken. O M G!!!!! I’ve never tasted anything better in my life! I can’t wait to order from here again!
It's a shame. I was really excited to try a new Thai place and came across this place. When I called to order my food, I called to request red curry and prawn rolls. I called back about 2 mins later to state that I did not want the spring rolls anymore and had changed my mind, and the lady literally said since they fried them I HAD to get them, no exceptions. Very rude and unprofessional. She said I had to talk to their boss to "sort it out" .....it's a shame because I was looking forward to the food but I knew this wasn't a place I would want to go to... so I didn't. And any place that makes food in 2 minutes should not be entertained at all in my opinion
This is one of my least favorite dining experiences in recent memory. Not only did our food come out wrong twice, but they got the check entirely wrong and had to redo it, not to mention the food was extremely subpar. I would not dine in here again.
So let me first start out saying I am not a ty food person. This place is AMAZAING! Fresh ingredients, and great flavor. The owner Sunny is so kind and the vibe there is great. I will now be a regular here and this has changed my view on ty food. I am also pregnant and picky and this was just what I wanted. Highly recommend it!
This was so good! Great food, nice service and really good Pad Thai in a relaxed and comfortable outside patio. Thank you! We’ll be back.
Very clean and balanced flavors.
Had a great experience. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Got the food to go to take to local bar and they were kind enough to bring the food to us and even brought our dogs some snacks!! The dogs highly recommend as well ;)
Pretty mid. Ordered pad Thai & the teriyaki on uber eats. Food was ok but dry and missing sauce/silverware.
Absolutely zero flavor. Thai food is supposed to have A LOT of flavor.
This thai fried rice was so bland ..it may as well have ben plain white rice.
Absolutely amazing restaurant and food is just delicious. This is NOT your PandaXpress fast food place. You gotta try and experience the dishes on their menu. Not a cheap food restaurant, which explains the food quality. They charge accordingly to costs of raw food products and to keep their good cooks paid. Plates are good porportion and food is one of the best I've eat across the country. Highly recommend Ty Fun.
Ordered the curry beef. Careful on the spiciness. Medium was spicy. Sauce had good flavor but was especially runny, not thick enough. Very little meat. Would not order again
Date night ( mid-afternoon 🤡) @tyfuncle Ty Fun Thai Bistro in Tremont. Nice crispy Prawn Rolls. Which are Deep fried shrimp wrapped in spring rolls wrapper. Nice subtle sweet Sauce. Tom Kha Soup which is a Thai style coconut soup with chicken, lemongrass, celery, corn, mushroom, onion and lime juice. Great flavor. Would have liked more heat. Panang red curry which is Cooked in coconut milk with mixed veggie. It looked like soup. My wife liked it very much. Ma Mung which is Sauteed with celery, onion, cashew nuts, pineapple, pepper, in chili garlic sauce. Again would have liked it to be more spicy. Overall a solid meal.
Loved the ambience and the food. Cute , cozy neighborhood restaurant feeling with friendly upbeat staff. Would recommend whether you are by yourself, or in a small group. Price was bit more than what I expected and the service could have been faster - neither factors would stop me from visiting again, can't wait to recommend to friends!
Fast service but the food is incredibly bland. We had two different curries and they just tasted like vegetables in coconut milk with just a hint of turmeric, etc.
I can say at least the curry was rich, as opposed to watery, but for the prices they are charging I'd expect some flavor.
High quality food. Server seemed a little over whelmed.
Ordered TY FUN for the first time today through Uber Eats. I was beyond satisfied by my order. It was incredibly fresh, hot and delicious even after traveling 30 minutes. I’m pretty picky about pho, and TY FUN’s vegan pho and crispy tofu are by far the best I’ve had in Cleveland.
Wonderful place. Great food, friendly upbeat staff. And beautiful Ambiance. Would give them 10 Stars if I could. Will return. Please go check them out. You won't be disappointed.
Absolutely delicious food and cocktails. Staff was great as well!
Best duck I've ever had. Other places cannot compare. And nice atmosphere.
Always looking for vegetarian options, Thai is normally a good option, and Ty Fun Thai Bistro had no lack of these.
I enjoyed the vegetarian spring rolls, with a delightful dipping sauce, sweet with peanuts in it.
The Massaman Curry was on point, chock full of robust flavors, crispy tofu, firm veggies and just enough spice to let you know what it is (I normally order my Thai a bit more spicy, however not knowing what their base spice level was, I decided to test first).
The help was very welcoming, courteous and authentically Thai.
This was quite good and I look forward to returning for more!
Sawatdee Khrap🙏
The staff are friendly and it's in a quiet spot in town. Loved the food
Amazing atmosphere and delicious food.
This Restaurant is a place where you can see where passion becomes your work . Really lovely and beautiful place . Food is awesome and the Owner and Staff made us feel at home . Will visit again !
Seriously the best Thai food in Cleveland. Authentic and delicious!
Some of the absolute, most delicious Thai food I've ever ordered! This place not only accommodated my situation happily (Had to cancel thru their app and order thru Uber eats) the food was definitely on point! Even with the extra cost of having to use Uber Eats; it was totally worth it! Super fresh ingredients and such a satisfying meal! I travel for work and order Pad Thai all the time, everywhere I go and this place is one of the top places I've tried. Certainly ranks very high in my opinion and I recommend giving them a try!! 💜
Cocktails were amazing and the food was was great too.
The food and service were both great, and there's a nice patio as well.
Such a good surprise to find in Cleveland!
The taste was 🤤 I definitely recommend
Covid precautions?the best in town. You scan QR code, order and pay online.
Definitely recommend them. Sorry for the 4 stars because the portion was bit small but definitely recommend them.
Staff was really nice. I will come again
Fantastic food and friendly service!
Great food but service
was super slow and complicated
Fabulous Thai food obviously made with love. Some of the best we’ve had. The chicken tom kha soup and satay were standouts. Patio was relaxed and comfortable.
Great food! Owners and employees are fantastic
Outstanding! All one could hope for. Enjoy!
Delicious curry & cocktail! 😋
Really loved the flavors! The spice level was good. The taste lingers on the tongue. I ordered khi moa and panang red curry. Their curry was mind blowing. The service is also great and ambience is pleasant.
Loved the curry!
Amazing curries.
Delicious food :)
Great food, great atmosphere, and we got it fast! Friendly staff made this a great experience.
I finally had to stop going here. Their food is great, but the customer service is consistently horrible. Three times in a row, my order was lost and I had to wait for pickup.
Some great tasting Pad Thai!
We had a delicious meal, as always. Every time I eat there I say, that's the best food I've had since the last time I was here! And now there's more room to eat outside. It's the best.
I have eaten here twice with my Girlfriend. Appx three months ago it was carry out only and this time we could eat inside. Service was very pleasant and the food was hot and tasty.
Amazing food and amazing service!
