Cozy eatery offering traditional Thai favorites plus a sushi menu & lunch specials.
We first visited Thai Nam Tip about a week ago, and we have been back 3 times since! The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistent! Each dish has been consistently amazing each and every time we have been in. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the food comes out pretty fast! Their establishment is also extremely clean and they are very quick to clean tables as soon as you leave! Love the atmosphere and cozy feeling.
If you havenβt tried it yet, definitely stop in and ask for Noi! She is great and will take great care of you!
5 stars! The most consistent π flavor and ingredients of any Cincinnati Thai place!!! THE BEST π
Always fresh and hot. Amazing staff. I have been coming here since they opened nearly 20 years ago. Thank you so much for keeping a clean consistent restaurant with amazing staff.
I absolutely loved this place. The people that work there are so genuinely nice. I had the drunken noodles and my friend had the orange chicken. They were both so good and very nice presentation. You have got to come here. It is worth it and you won't regret it. Beautiful atmosphere π
This is my go to Thai place in the area. Wished I visited months ago. The food is authentic, the service excellent. Knowing what goes into making it taste just right with the proper amount of spicy πΆοΈ! Portions are just right. We ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp, drunken noodles with beef and Panang curry with chicken. So good. Look forward to visiting the next time Iβm back.
Ate here with my boyfriend for the first time a few days ago. It seems to be a little more geared toward take-out, at least late on a Friday evening, and the service was a little slow at first, but it was worth the wait. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. We started with the satay for appetizer. The chicken was flavorful and clean, but the superstar of the dish is the peanut sauce. I want that sauce on almost everything... I got the chili fried rice with chicken for dinner, level 5 spicy. Next time I'll probably go for a 7, but it was still delicious. The chicken was good, the veggies were fresh, and the rice was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got the basil stir-fry with beef. I got to try a mushroom from his dish and it was really, really good. The portion sizes are generous and I thought it was well worth the price. Will definitely come here again, probably for takeout next time.
As a whole, this restaurant is great. The food is very tasty. There's enough assortment to allow the pickiest eater to choose and those with allergies or vegan tissues to eat here as well. You can adjust the heat. portion size has always been and is still today a little on the small side especially considering the price. I feel like the inside decor hasn't changed in over 15 years but the family is super friendly and always trying to make sure the food is fresh and delicious. Every server had a smile and again the food is yummy. If you haven't been you are missing out. Just be aware the portion size might be a little smaller than you're used to at similar restaurants
Original Review (over a year ago)
We had lunch to go. However picked it up The atmosphere was nice, the employees were nice. From the time of order to the time we got the food was fairly quick about 15 minutes. I got three flavor fish, and my wife got chicken pad Thai, and I got hot and sour seafood soup. My wifeβs was one in spicy from 1 to 10 and I got 5 in the range of 5 to 10. Over all the food was good, couldβve been more flavorful, I donβt think mine was really a 5 in spicy level, Iβll change it to a 7 next time. I would still go back and try other items though. Overall it was pretty good.
Updated Review 01/13/2024
We dined in the restaurant this time; Thursday afternoon about 2:00pm. Nice amount of traffic, a few tables, and several takout orders were picked up while we ate.
I had Namtip Tai Spicy (spice level 8 our of 10) It was amazing! I enjoyed it, very flavorful and I would order it again. I ordered a lunch portion and I'm a big guy so next time I'll get the dinner portion.
My Niece and her wife got a Bento Box and Something with Rice Noodles and Tofu and they both loved it as well. They got the lunch portion sizes and thought the portion was just fine.
I had to update my review from a 4 to a 5 because of how much we enjoyed our food.
This place is so good. The food is very fresh, and most importantly the staff here make you feel so welcome. The owner is the sweetest woman, and everyone of her staff is friendly as can be. Their sushi and soup is the best!
I wish I lived closer. Really great pad thai. I need to come back and try more dishes.
the staff is friendlyand food is good
Excellent food!
Chicken satay comes with this peanut sauce that tastes like it deserves an award.
Very nice Thai. We had a curry and Pad Thai which were quite good. We were asked to specify a level of spicyness from 1-10 and we asked for 8. It came out like a 4 or 5 it seemed. There is a corkage fee shown if you BYOB. Sadly, they serve no Singha or other beer.
Been here several times but tonight the takeout beef pad Thai was incredible. Also great pot stickers sauce.
Have been to many Thai restaurants in costal states and new england primarily over the years and Thai Namtip is the best I've found for good curries and pad thai, an amazing Tom Kha Gai (chicken coconut soup) and a large assortment of dishes that are all very flavorful. Staff is friendly and they clearly have a lot of regulars creating a warm atmosphere. Will be utilizing Namtip as my Thai restaurant of choice for the next couple of years while I'm working in Cincinnati. ++

SO GOOD.
The best Thai food in the city! They never miss the mark. Wish it would come to the east side so I could eat it more often!!
It's the best
An absolute gem of a restaurant! Absolutely fantastic service and food! Best Thai Food in Cincinnati by far. I've been going here for atleast 7yrs and never once disappointed. Carryout orders are always fresh and exactly as ordered. Dine in experience is fabulous, very welcoming, and truly conveys authentic thai hospitality. My favorite meal is the Chicken Ramrong w angel hair rice noodles rather than rice. The chicken is very tender and comes w steamed broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and green beans in a divine peanut sauce (slightly spicy, but you choose your spice level). If you like curry, they have some fabulous curry options. For those that like a simple straightforward meal, I highly recommend the Fried Rice w Protein of your choice. The rice is fluffy and slightly nutty flavored and has many different vegetables in it. Best Fried Rice next to my Mother In Laws (she is Japanese). They also
5 stars! The most consistent π flavor and ingredients of any Cincinnati Thai place!!! THE BEST π
Always fresh and hot. Amazing staff. I have been coming here since they opened nearly 20 years ago. Thank you so much for keeping a clean consistent restaurant with amazing staff.
The sushi tasted great and was beautiful. Service as always was great?

Grew up in Cincinnati & I found this place about 10 years ago & immediately loved it. I moved to New York a few years ago & still canβt find anything that compares to Thai Namtip. Every time I visit, I have to go get my chili fried rice. Extremely friendly workers & delicious food. 10/10 recommend.
Good.
Great food. Very nice service and awesome with kids. Worth the drive here. Favorites were drunken noodles and namtip thai spicy stir fry.
A GREAT PLACE!! 14 friends celebrated my birthday there. The food is the best Thai around and the service is also the best.
The best Thai cuisine on the west side
Good cheap Thai and Chinese food that offered a great selection of dishes. The prices were very reasonable and the food and sweet tea had plenty of flavor. The server was friendly. The only issue we had was that we sat without menus for 10 minutes. Other than that, I will be back to try something else.
Best coconut soup and drunken noodles!
Update 07/2024: 1st time I've gotten the drunken noodles where the beef was mainly unedible fat. The assortment platter was all super hard food, the only things that were good were the spring rolls and crab rangoon. We've been coming here for years. Unsure if we'll go back. Not worth the high price.
A regular favorite with us. I actually went out of my comfort zone and tried a new selection. This place never let's me down. And their Sushi? So yummy.
Best Pad Thai outside of the city, staff were very friendly and attentive, service was quick. Will go back again!
The lunch special is a great deal. My go to order is the southern style fried rice and it never disappoints.
amazing π€©
The staff at this place could not have been kinder. I'd never had Thai and they explained things well. My four-year old wanted a drink they were out of and someone literally ran an errand to get some. That kind of service makes life-long customers.
As for the food? It was delicious. I asked for a six out of 10 on the spice scale for my food and it was a little less spicy than I thought it would be but it tasted great. My wife and son enjoyed their food as well. We tried some sushi too and it was good.
The place also was very clean. Will go again.
I ordered the * Orange Chicken * ....the chicken was tough πthe sauce was way tooo sweet. I had not ordered from here in a long time but now I won't come back . I don't recommend π
Their Thai curry is PHENOMINAL. For our family of 5, we got one stir-fry dish and one curry, and had plenty of left-overs. The curb appeal is meh, but the insides cozy, almost fancy, with tablecloths and spacious seating. When we ordered online, they also had a 10% off coupon. Highly recommend the curry!!
Have been here twice in last month and Service is horrible. Walked out this time.
Food was good but lacked service. The restaurant could use a good cleaning. If I return I would order food to go
The best βorange chicken with cashewsβ ever! I donβt like green peppers so they substituted broccoli for no extra charge.
I haven't eaten in the restaurant in a long time, but they are always really personable, and professional. The food is amazing! Even my friend's kid who is a picky eater went to town on the spring rolls!
I love Thai Nam Tip!! A friend introduced it to me years ago and I have gone back many times. Orange Chicken is my favorite, bursting with sweet and savory orange flavors. I'm not into too much spicey heat, so they make my spice level perfectly at a four. Never, ever, had a bad experience at Thai Nam Tip. Highly recommend!!
The food was okay. Nothing too great but not bad either. Bit better than average.
'Okay' sums up the entirety of my experience. It was the least flavorful Thai food I have ever had. Our server was friendly.
My favorite go-to, sit down restaurant, especially for sushi. Quality has gone down some when it comes to sushi. Salmon had 'mushy' texture, which isn't the usual. Prices have gone up on things, but quality has gone down. The server was a wonderfully professional young man.
Been going here for years but the last several times the food has been trending down. Last night the orange chicken was awful. It wasnβt even warm and the chicken was tough. The flavor was off too. Maybe theyβve changed chefs but the food isnβt the quality it used to be.
A great lunch destination!
Waiter was new, didn't have a good knowledge of the menu and got both of our dishes wrong, but hastily corrected them
The food tasted of stale, used cooking oil.
First time eating here, we enjoyed, will be back.

Amazing as usual. Gluten free options were great.
A big ol' yes every time!

Great local Thai restaurant. Our family loves it.
Good food
Fantastic food. Great service. Must try.
Been eating here for years and always satisfied then the last 2 times have been completely awful. The last time I thought it was a fluke but it was even worse Tonight!!!! Both mine and my husband's meals were awful. After visiting here often for many many many years, Tonight would be our last visit . Not sure if they changed ownership or just stopped caring but we won't be back.
Good Thai food with a humorous server makes for a nice evening out with friends. I tried a new dish, Tofu Ramrong - deep-rooted tofu with veggies and their "famous" peanut sauce. I was afraid the tofu would be greasy but it was not and the Peanut Sauce was quite good. The server asked for degree of "hotness" from 1-10; I asked for a three and it was perfect. Very generous servings. Definitely recommend.
If it wasnβt for the service, this could have been an absolute 5 star review!!!
The food was great! Tasted very authentic and flavorful. It was not the most affordable considering the portion being served but it was definitely worth it for the taste.
HOWEVER, SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE!!! I usually donβt leave reviews online because I know how hard restaurants work to grow their business, but for this one, I had to say something! It was OUTRAGEOUS for me and my family being treated in a very disrespectful way as customers. The waitress who is a lot older had no respect and patience when serving us. There was an attitude whenever she spoke. ACTING LIKE SHE IS BETTER THAN YOU. Maβam, who do you think you are?
If it was not for the service, I would totally recommend it. What a shame to have such beautiful food but absolutely horrible service!!!
Great food. I would recommend this place.
Their Maki sushi is amazing
Ordered 2 entries and 2 orders of sushi all of them had what seemed like cat hair when management was informed she was very rude telling us there was no way when there was clearly hair in all our food
Late lunch. Service was slower, but friendly. Did was great. The Chicken pad Thai was really good!
Have you ever had a pregnancy craving for food you've never tried? Well, I have and this place is now my new go to!!! The drunken noodles Papaya salad and mango sweet rice is the best thing I've ever had in my lifeπ
Great taste and wide selection of food! Always a go to place for dinner.
The best Pad Thai in Cincinnati. The lunches are $8 with a spring roll or soup. Ask for the iced jasmine tea--perfect in summer.
Excellent experience and absolutely delicious food and great staff ππΌ
This cute little Thai place is a gem. I've never had a bad meal, and the service is wonderful. I ALWAYS get the coconut chicken soup, it is the best in town!

It was very mediocre but all I had was the appetizer platter. I can't say the restaurant was bad but I can say what I ate wasn't good.
I love Thai Namtip! Has been one of my go to places for years. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the prices are very reasonable. The wait for your food is never long, and there is ample parking. Couldnβt recommend this place enough.
This place has the best tofu vegetable fried rice and great portion.
Everything is fantastic here. No complaints. Will be a regular!
The food was spicy, but full of flavor. The portions were slightly smaller; good none the less.
The worst customer service I had ever experienced. I came in to pick up an order and I was never greeted I kept trying to stop the lady to ask for my order and she kept shooing me off saying itβs not ready yet. She assumed I was waiting for a door dash telling me my order is waiting for sushi. Had she stopped to let me give her my name she would have known I wasnβt waiting for a door dash nor did the order I was waiting for have sushi in it. Very rude and dismissive. Will never return
Took almost 30 minutes to get a salad and the seafood soup. The seafood soup didn't even remotely have a seafood taste. There was 1 piece of shrimp and 1 imitation piece of crab in what tasted like straight miso.
Service was very friendly, but I wouldn't return to this establishment.
The food was good but it is a little pricey. My friends wanted to go early (4:30) so they weren't very busy at that time. It was getting busier when we left at 5:30.
One of the best Thai places in the city!! My husband loves the drunken noodles (he loves how spicy they can make it) and Iβm in love with their basil dish (chicken). Their dishes are fresh and have so much flavor. Even if you have never tried Thai, give this place a chance. If you want to make a date night, you can bring in your own alcohol (they charge a minimal uncorking fee). We usually bring a bottle of wine to share with our meal. They are also super efficient with take-out. Our kids even love their chicken fried rice. This place is a must-try (over and over again π)!!
Horrible place. I think I got re-warmed noodles and paid $29. Disgusting all the way around. Not Thai at all. And the prices aren't listed on the menu which tells me they can charge whatever they want.
Best Thai in Cinci in my opinion!!!
I just ordered 2 Thai ice teas to go with no ice and 2 entrees. I specifically said the teas are for later tonight and I dont want the ice to melt in it and water it down. They said it was extra money and I said ok and paid the extra money. The teas were down in the bag to go. When I got home the cups were literally 1/2 full. You should not have charged me extra if you were going to do that. It was not a fair exchange and therefore will be reported to the BBB with pictures.
Got the Pad Thai and Crab Rangoon. Not very good at all. Super sweet! Did not take more than 2 bites and paid $27. Yikes.
The good was very good, fresh, hot, tasty and came in 5 minutes. Our waitress was the friendliest person!! I'm sorry I forgot her name. I would go back just to interact with her again...She was polite, helpful in explaining the choices and the spice levels (important!!), she politely teased me about choosing a low level. I forgot to ask if they have brown rice instead of white rice. My mistake. The jasmine tea was mostly black tea flavor, very very mild jasmine. But not bad in any way. I will return and try Thai Namtip again.
First time getting food from this restaurant.
Only had soup but it was GREAT! Coconut mushroom and a seafood miso. Had it to go. It was awesome. Can't wait to try other things on the menu
Great Thai food at a reasonable price!
Iβve been sitting here for 38 min and still havenβt got my to go order!!!!!
The grab Rangoon doesnβt taste like crab Rangoon at all; Iβm not sure whatβs in it but it was the worst crab rangoon Iβve ever had. And the Pad thai (I got chicken) tasted like dirt and maybe some weeds.. I usually love thai food. I have been to Thailand and have found several comparable restaurants in Cincinnati/northern Kentuckyβ¦ but this was so bad I literally spit out my first bite. The absolute worst thai food I have EVER had! No idea how they are in business. I spent $27 on my food through door dash and threw it away without hesitation.
Good food, speedy service, will be back
Awesome Thai food! Very flavorful, spicy if you want it and you can taste all the myriad spice flavors that combined are wonderful. Plus, they can make almost all their dishes gluten free for those who are Celiac sensitive. And easy to get to, right off I74 in monfort heights!
By far the best crab rangoon and coconut shrimp we've ever had and the sushi, pad thai and orange chicken hit the spot! Everything was amazing! Very friendly staff and owners!
Our first time here, we went on a Saturday night. The serving no alcohol was a surprisebut not a deal breaker. The food was fantastic, we had dumplings, soup, pad tia and even found our new favorite sushi roll, the Thai Namtip roll. It was super busy but the service was still good. We may not dine in agian (not really something we do) but we will be ordering from here agian. Soon.
Absolutely loved the food! I think this is now the best Thai food I've ever had. The yellow seafood curry was out of this world, couldn't stop saying how much I loved it! The crab rangoons were also delicious and the Thai iced tea was so good, I got a cup of it to go! Definitely recommend at least the foods that I had here, best I've ever had! I hope I can visit Cincinnati again in the future, specifically so I can come back and have more of their delicious food! I also easily got two meals out of my food and the waitress was super sweet and attentive!
Had chicken pad Thai today that was such a disappointment. It not only was flavorless; it was just a plate of mushy noodles with little else. We tried it again today after a few past less than stellar experiences. Wish there was a good Thai place close by.
Super delicious
Best Thai food I've had in Cincinnati.
Greta place, helpful staff, tasty food!
Great service, clean and the sweet and sour pork is the best I've had in years. The price is a little more, but the food is so much better and freshly paired.
Fabulous! And.... yummy!
I love Thai food and normally go to the critically acclaimed Thai Taste on Crookshank. However, I wanted to take my husband somewhere nice and different so we came here. The appearance of the restaurant could use a little cleaning up; there are paper notifications kept under the glass of each table, which was odd. Also, the door hit me in the back on the way in because it swings shut quickly, so this needs to be fixed!
Thai Namtip has a few vegan and gluten-free options, as is to be expected, but they are not marked. Still, it was refreshing to see some options that were different. The waitress was extremely friendly and always had a smile on her face, which I loved! The food was delicious and hot and came out extremely quickly. The biggest issue I have with Thai Namtip was the proportions of its dishes. The meals were comparatively priced to Thai Taste, yet there was about 40-50% of the food. It came out in these bowls that were comparative to a salad bowl and that was all you got (excluding rice, but those proportions were halved as well). So while the food was delicious, it was also expensive given how little of it there was. For this reason alone, we probably won't come back.
I hope Thai Namtip will improve on these things. If they do, they would definitely be in the running for the best Thai restaurants in Cincinnati.
Possibly the best pad Thai I've ever had
Excellent service, Excellent food and I can bring my own beer.
I love this place. So much so that I have been known to eat here multiple times per week. I've had multiple items from the menu, all of them delicious. The staff is so lovely, I always have a good experience.
I dont know a lot about thai food, but I've tried several of their options and haven't found one that wasn't great! Would recommend.
Me and my boyfriend are huge Pad Thai lovers. This restaurantβs pad Thai is just ok. Not very good not very bad.
This IS π₯
Have been here several times. They haven't let me down yet.
Do you want great Thai Food on the west side of Cincinnati? Well, this is the place to go. The Food is delicious, and the service is always friendly. The dΓ©cor is wonderfully Thai accented. My favorite selections are Chicken Ramrong (wonderful peanut butter sauce) and Ginger Chicken. My only suggestion would be to offer online ordering.
Delicious Thai! Great, comfortable interior.. Portions could be slighlty bigger for price, but with inflation these days, not too big a deal!π
Came in to pick up a carry out order. (Food was good.) As I'm paying, the lady tells me I need to go take a shower and points to my arm. She said this like 3 times and I'm super confused because I just took a shower and there's nothing on me? Then she points to my other arm and says it again and it dawns on me- she is pointing to my tattoos. She sees that I understand now and kind of chuckles. I don't know what that was about but.. sorry, not funny.
Great food and a funny and delightful server!
Everything really good.
Cater to your dietary needs and taste awesome
Sushi wasn't great but I am spoiled to being near the cost with fresh fish. Green curry was okay, I am giving a low rating because my to go box was dirty and a roach came to visit me at my booth
Excellent food, friendly staff.
Delicious Chicken Pad Thai! Not easy to find on the West side. We'll be back!!
Love this little gem!! Always fresh and reasonably priced!
Love it
Their food is Delicious!! I love their vegetarian options and fried rice! I really love their restaurant! Their staff is really sweet as well!
I am there at least once a week great service and food
Delicious.
Try the coconut soup. Sooo good
Very good and friendly
Excellent service! Food was very good.
It was the best Food.is great
They have great lunch specials
Great Thai food. Friendly people. Have always had a good experience whether eat in or take out.
Food was delicious as usual. Waitress was very friendly and attentive
This place is delicious and one of my family's favorites. We have loved every dish we have tried, so flavorful and fresh. I especially love the panang curry. Love the desserts too, the fried banana and rice pudding.
First time here but it wonβt be the last.
The authentic flavors and wonderful customer service are just a few of the high points.
Great food.
Excellent pad thai. Scott the lawn guy agrees.
Great food and wonderful service. Mamm is a wonderful person always happy. The Larb gui is unbelievable always order it 10+ on the heat and they never let me down . The sushi is very good too.
My favorite Thai place in town. Great portions. Excellent food.
