Casual eatery fixing up hearty noodle, sushi, tempura & curry dishes for dine-in or takeout.
Several years ago when we lived closer to the Hyde Park area, we were regulars here. We visited today after so long and found that the food tasted the same like it did back then. Loved the Singapore Street Noodles and Drunken Noodles. The sushi was not as great as their food is. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for Thai food in town
When their sister restaurant, Thai Cafe, closed in Clifton a few years ago, I was informed that this restaurant was owned by the same family. Hate to have to travel so far for Thai, but it is certainly worth it. Everything I used to order is on their menu and the quality is identical. Excellent food.
We walked in here expecting nothing but the service, interior, and food were all incredible! The duck was seared perfectly and tom yum fried rice (first time trying since it's usually tom yum soup) was so good. The green chili curry with noodles was so creamy and went so well with salmon. If you want to eat healthy but also have a wholesome meal, I'd recommend this place! They also have a designated parking spot in the back! Parking in this area is difficult but this restaurant provides parking which will help me decide where I'd get my Thai crave! The waiter was so kind and gentle and even suggested the curry to us.
I had high hopes for my visit to Bangkok Bistro, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The server, Jake, displayed a concerning lack of enthusiasm and hospitality from the moment we were seated. His demeanor was noticeably sour, which set a disappointing tone for the evening. Throughout our meal, Jake seemed uninterested in serving us, showing both a lack of knowledge about the menu and reluctance to answer basic questions about the dishes. It was disheartening to see such a lack of passion and professionalism in a service role. Unfortunately, this experience significantly detracted from our dining experience, and I would hesitate to return or recommend this restaurant based on this visit.
The egg drop soup was tasteless, the chicken satay tasted / deep fried like a chicken nugget from McDonalds, & I found hair in my soup. I am writing this mid meal and I am not excited for my main course. Wish me luck.
Had the Whatever and my friend had the Bistro Noodles. Both were tasty and the heat levels were good. The Whatever tasted like the inside of a lettuce wrap with rice and egg. Kyle was a entertaining server... Just tell him what you feeling like food wise and he will get you something good.
Chicken pad Thai w/ beef (steak) and shrimp (tails cut off), level 8-10 heat AND an order of the veggie rolls + chicken rolls with EXTRA in-house sweet and sour sauce!!!! 😋 #PerfectDishForMe
Let's see... I'm 32. So that means Bangkok Bistro has done no wrong for the last, ehhh.... 19years!! I believe they were founded in Cincinnati in 1994, (I was 4 then). But what an amazing atmosphere with the staff and food to match!!! You HAVE to read this and think to yourself, "well damn... we need to go check this place out." Yes!!!! See for yourself. You can bring heat to your dish on levels between 0-10. They have an in-house bar. Parking can be a bit tricky but nothing too crazy. GET HERE!!! ENJOY!!!
Ordered from here for the first time. Ordered a vegetarian dish for a vegetarian and there was chicken in the dish.
Food also did not sit well. Do not recommend.
Best Thai food, love the servers and staff.

The food was delicious!
My favorite Pad Thai in Cincinnati!!!
Have been going to this place for years and totally got screwed on a takeout order tonight. We have 7 dinner orders and most of us got nothing but vegetables and noodles although we order chicken, shrimp, or beef. I had a Dynasty Sauce dish that had 3 small pieces of chicken and about 8 cashews in it. Felt totally ripped of after spending well over $120 for food tonight. Ugh!

Love the food selection.
Sushi was awesome!!
Food was amazing, service spot on (thanks Fai), clean and welcoming.
Food tasted nice but the portion size was soooooooo disappointing. Both of us ordered curries and got maybe 2oz of meat each. Had to stop by the store after to get something to eat this late at night because I was still hungry. I hate being negative but for a $35 per person meal this is not acceptable, and I don’t think I’ll be returning.
We love Bangkok Bistro. They have the best pad thai in the city. I recommend either the crispy pad thai or the pad thai with duck. My kids and I get carry out every week.
Delicious food and great portions for the prize. Our waitress was super friendly and provided us with a fun evening dining out. Will absolutely come back!
One of my favorite red restaurants. Located near Hyde Park. This Thai restaurant has the best ladna noodles I have ever had with a spice of 1 to 10 a 4 is great without causing too much heat and they will also bring out some spices to add more if it is not spicy enough. On the other end the food is not at all spicy if you want it that way. The Pad Thai is also fantastic.
The servers are friendly and funny and very quick to help.
I love the food - everything I've tried - every time I go here! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. Thank you Bangkok Bistro!
This is a well established family restaurant, the service is outstanding and the atmosphere is amazing. If you're ever thinking of a place to have a family/friend gathering Bangkok Bistro will be a great suggestion.
The very best crispy pad Thai.
I love it. The food is awesome and the service was wonderful as well. Had three apps; golden bags fried shrimp, and lettuce wraps. Each was delicious. The salmon Tai spicy vegetable entree was amazing. I will definitely be back.
Food came up quick and sever was helpful.
Menu is a little confusing in that it only lists a few thai dishes. Everything else is just listed as - pick a sauce and main ingredient.
Curry contatins fish sauce so not authentic thai style or veg compatible. I realize a lot of thai restaurants do this but not my thing. If you want your order spicy they will add chili sauce not powder. Got a 10/10 thai basil stir fry and it was kinda spicy. Equal to a 2/4 at my fav thai place. For the lunch price it was okay but tasted more like szechuan style w/ basil. My partner got the siam noodles 3/10 spicy and she said it was bland and not at all spicy.
This is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in Cincinnati/NKY and I have probably tried most! Service is fast and servers are attentive. Food is delicious and priced right.
Need more Plant-Based Vegan options like eggplant entrees and baby bok choy udin noodles and coconut aminos by Bragg's for a soy sauce substitute for soy free options.
Pumfu by the foodie company would make a great soy free option for those who want to substitute for tofu
Great food and service
Always a treat to eat here.
We are vegetarians, so there were few options. Bistro Cashew, Pad Thai Noodles, Thai Spicy Mango Sauce is what we tried. The food was awesome, and the portions are huge for $15 each dish! We will visit again!!
Been a long time coming here. And it’s still good food as always.
This place is great. I got the crispy duck and seaweed salad and it was outstanding. Perfect flavor and texture.. Definitely give it a try if you enjoy Thai food.
had vegetable fried rice and the rice was moist and the vegetables fresh. first time let's see if they hold up
The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere so pleasant and relaxing. Loved it!
I used to really like this place but the quality has taken a dive. The shrimp in my drunken noodles were definitely not fresh (tails almost fully black) and my wife’s pad Thai had spoiled scallions on top. I think they just need to keep the stuff in their fridge fresher and replace ingredients more often!
My wife eats Drunken Noodles at asian restaurants all over the greater Cincinnati area. She said that Bangkok Bistro's were, far and away, the best she has ever tasted.
Real gem. I've driven by for many years and never dined there BUT I 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 be back!
Not the best Thai I've ever had, but the only Thai I've had in Cincinnati. It was good. 5 (of 10) was not very spicy in my opinion. I expected more spice. But flavors were nice. Probably won't go back unless I'm specifically asked to go there again just since I'm not a local in Cincinnati, just a frequent visitor.
While I didn't eat here, I waited over 25 minutes for a pick up.
I was then told they didn't have my order and I can reorder.
I showed them the online order!
It is chaotic here due to staffing issues. The 1 waitress and 1 bartender argued loudly the entire time. I suggest calling ahead and seeing what you're in for before dining here.
Menu has a huge variety. Everything we tried was very tasty!
Was on a 2 week, odd hour work assignment. Glad I found them, will go back! Their green curry was really delicious, and creamy! And the Tom Kha soup was also outstanding!!!
Had the Whatever and my friend had the Bistro Noodles. Both were tasty and the heat levels were good. The Whatever tasted like the inside of a lettuce wrap with rice and egg. Kyle was a entertaining server... Just tell him what you feeling like food wise and he will get you something good.
Definitely one of my favorite places I've found in Cincinnati. The Pad Thai is my favorite, and as an app, I highly recommend the crab rangoon. It's on the more expensive side, but it's always great quality, and you can usually get enough leftovers for a second meal.
Always get the Mango curry. A++++mazing!!!
Best thai spot in the city. Recommend the crab Rangoon and the bistro noodles. Both are fantastic.
I love this restaurant. They have amazing food with a choice of how much or how little spice you want your food to be!! It is literally the only place that serves tempura vegetables, which I highly recommend. I had pad tie and my husband is vegan and was easily accommodated as well. Everything is delicious! You should try it for sure!.
We came here for lunch and this was first time dining here. I ordered the Curry Chicken and it was delicious! I will certainly go back here.
Great food . Friendly servers . Hears guests when they request changes to the standard preparation.
Very good food and selection. We ordered no heat, had grandson and he too young for heat. Both dishes were fantastic and the crab Rangoon’s were delicious. Food was ready on time and was very fresh, not like some other takeout. Definitely going back!
I had never visited Bangkok bistro, and I was excited to try it. When I got there the kitchen was 15 minutes from close, I understand that. The lady helping me name is, Shea… I quickly ordered and accidentally ordered the wrong wontons and I asked her 10 seconds later to change it and she said no and she was yelling that if I don’t get the one that I didn’t want as well then I couldn’t get the ones that I did wanted originally. She walked back to the kitchen screaming something and I was pushed out while she was an inch behind me and locked the door right as I exited. VERY rude, Acted as though it was a bother to explain to me some of the things on the menu, so I did my best and took a guess. After being told off I am now going home with the food. I hope it’s good or this review wouldn’t even deserve the two stars I did give.

Great place to see eat good food and great service.
Very good service.Very good food.Nice wine selection.
Yummy! Everything was Fresh & Delicious. 4 out of 10 Spicy was pretty, pretty good - next time I will ask for a 7.
Nice Wine & Sake selections.
Delicious food. Pleasant, quiet atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful.
I had the Pad Thai without the nuts on top with chicken and my husband had the Singapore noodles with shrimp and chicken! Very good especially as he doesn't like sweet dishes. It was even good mixed!
Killer food
Great old time favorite that I havent had in some time. The crispy pad thai here is still the best here to this day. I recomend the food here and will definitely be back sometime in the near future.
Excellent dinner. Crispy pad Thai was wonderfully flavorful and fresh.
Best Thai Resturant in the city! I had the stir fry with Spicy Thai Sauce. It had all the elements-- heat, sweet and savory with hint of lemongrass. Cooked to perfection with a hint of fire seared wok flavor-- delicious! with attentive service. My go to Thai place and I have tried many
Good service and food.
Amazing food and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
Tasty!!
Great food
Amazing Thai food, great service, great place. The crispy pad thai is so good.
Excellent Thai food!
Absolutely amazing food!
I’ve had a great experience with the usual female staff but a couple of weeks ago I tried placing an order over the phone and the man kept yelling at me and even cursed at me, claiming he couldn’t hear me. I was utterly surprised because they’re usually so kind. I’ve never ever had an experience like that and almost thought I was dreaming. It definitely turned me off from ordering from them.
Nice staff
Consistent service and awesome curries. Pad Thai is a classic and theirs is the standard around here.
Love it. Best Thai in town.
One of my favorite Thai Food restaurants. I have been eating here for a long time.
My favorite Thai food in Cincinnati! Delicious!
Their prices have gone up 15 to 20% over what is stated on their menu. Ordered take out and was surprised at the bill.
Food was really good. But the waiter made fun of me for not knowing how to eat edamame, and tried to get me to eat out of his hand like a horse. It was like a stress nightmare.
Great food, nice atmosphere. Chicken Thai Spicy is excellent. Sweet and sour chicken is not breaded and is my wife's favorite. Pick how spicy you like your food on a scale of 0-10.
Pad thai is out of this world. Best in Cincinnati
I love the crispy pad Thai. I've never been disappointed with anything I have ever ordered.
The food at Bangkok Bistro is always great! I have been eating there for almost 25 years. I really love the cashew chicken it is a great dish! If you haven't eaten there you should try it. Dave
Massamon Curry is the way to go!
Excellent food, nice people.
Pad Thai is phenomenonal
Food was delicious and the service was great.
You will not be disappointed if you try this place! So yummy!!!! The food, service, and atmosphere is worth the experience😄
Delicious food and lovely ambiance. We really enjoyed our dinner here this evening. Thank you!
Great selection of authentic Thai food and sushi.
Sukiyaki is the best.
Our server Kyle was quite knowledgeable, attentive and entertaining as well.
Quick service, delicious food!
Food was delicious and our waiter was awesome! Good wine selection too
Fresh, best tahi in town.
This is one of our favorite restaurants! Great Thai food, delicious cocktails and efficient service in a lovely setting!
Couldn't stop yumyumyummimg! The last bites were as marvelous as the first. Friendly staff, helpful
Amazing dinner. Everything was delicious as was atmosphere. Wilo return.
Such good thai food.
My favorite place to go! Recommend the crispy pad thai, chicken spring rolls, and the crab rangoon.
Best Thai restaurant in Cincinnati. I may go back tomorrow. Excellent service and outstanding preparation.
Great food, friendly service. There was desks full of cool notes at my table.
Awesome.
Been coming here for years and the wait staff is excellent, even remembering our orders. 100% recommend.
Great Thai cuisine
AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life. I went in to pick up my takeout order on 3/26/19 and as I was waiting for my order to be prepared, the man at the front desk (Kyle) struck up a conversation with me. He started this conversation with attempting to guess my age, telling me that I have dark circles under my eyes and that's what he was basing his guess off, etc. He was laughing and must have thought this was a funny conversation, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that you absolutely should not comment on a customer's age and appearance. But it gets worse. Since it was a takeout order and I was not dining in, I did not leave a tip. When I was handed my order, I said "thank you" and as I turned around to leave, Kyle said "You're welcome, not tipping!" I didn't turn around to address him because I was absolutely in shock that he said that to a customer. I called the next day and explained the situation to the manager. She told me that she receives complaints about Kyle all the time and that they keep him employed because they feel sorry for him and don't think he could get a job elsewhere. She told me that he is older, has an illness, doesn't have many friends, etc. She attempted to excuse his behavior with pity. I asked her if there was anything she could do to right the situation and she said no. I asked if I could speak to the owner and she told me that the owner would likely not call me. I asked her to take my name and number down anyways and ask the owner to contact me. Instead, later that day, I received a voicemail from Kyle's PERSONAL cell phone apologizing for "apparently offending" me. I called the manager back and told her that it was absolutely inappropriate to give the employee who made me uncomfortable my phone number and to allow him to call me from his personal cell phone. I again asked her to have the owner contact me and she again dismissed me and said that there is nothing they would do. This place disgusts me. They have absolutely no regard for customers.
Best pad Thai in town. Crispy pad Thai actually. Casual atmosphere.
Best Thia food ever,, great service,, it's a special place for our family and friends. Thanks
Food is great and so is the service
Average food, slow service
Amazing food, Great staff
Great food, friendly servers
Very clean and nice. Quiet atmosphere great place for a work lunch. The chicken spring rolls are amazing!
Large menu, very good food and service reasonably priced
Four of us shared a birthday celebration for lunch. The food was outstanding and our service was excellent. The food was freshly prepared and the portions were large. Our dishes were presented exactly as we had ordered them. We would all highly recommend Bangkok Bistro.
Best Pad Thai in the area
Best thai in the city
I will return to try other items on the menu.
