Ranked #1 in Sushi | Top 100 places to eat in USA
Family owned Flavorful Thai dishes and fresh hand rolled sushi.
I discovered this small little place back in 2002 when I lived in Oakley. It was my first foray into Thai food and to this day it's still my favorite cuisine on the planet. I had lunch here at least once a week for years. I've since moved out of Cincinnati and still compare all other Thai food to this place. Asiana is the measuring stick. I've still not found any place that does Chicken Thai Spicy like they do. I live in Dayton now and the Thai options here are pretty bad. I still like to drive down to Cincinnati every few months and go to Asiana. It never disappoints. If I had a "last meal" of my life, it's Chicken Thai Spicy, spice level 8.
Went here with a small group of friends for the 2nd time. The menu has a great selection of food and portion sizes are HUGE. My entree will last for 2.5-3 meals. The place is very small & cozy. Our service was good but pretty slow. It was difficult to find parking as there are only a few spaces available so we had to park in a nearby business and walk, which is ok for us but may be difficult for people who aren't as mobile. The restaurant is not handicap accessible. All in all, it was a great time and looking forward to my food on the next visit!
Stopped here for lunch on a random Saturday after seeing amazing reviews. Small, cozy atmosphere. Went with the tofu Triangles and the dinner portion of Pad Thai with Beef. The flavor of the Pad Thai was incredible, the best I can remember trying. The portion size was very generous for me as someone with a large appetite. I also liked the food presentation. Absolutely worth trying, even if you might have to wait on a busy evening.
This is a very solid, well-liked place to grab both Thai food and sushi. It's a pretty small place, hit or miss on whether you can get a seat, but I didn't have to wait for a table either time I dined in. For the food I've tried: the papaya salad was well-balanced, subtly spicy and sweet, and came in a generous portion. The spicy rainbow and Sunday morning tolls were both high quality. The shrimp panang curry had really good, fresh flavors, and quality jumbo shrimp; 5/10 spice was very bearable and somewhat mild for somebody with a pretty high spice tolerance. I'd happily eat it again. For service: this place is not first-timer friendly. You walk in and kind of stand around awkwardly wondering if anybody will seat you, and if you seat yourself, you wait awkwardly wondering if anybody will tend to you. On my most recent visit, I had several wrong orders brought to my table, and my food came out 10+ minutes after my lady's food. The food here is undeniably excellent, but I'm more inclined to just order takeout in the future.
Some of the best, if not the best, Thai food in Cincinnati and I've been to Thailand several times. The kho soi is amazing and just switch out the noodles for rice noodles and it's vegan. Papaya salad also on point minus the fish sauce. Good portions too. I don't drink but no cork fee here is cool too
One of the best Thai food places in Cincinnati
the staff is friendly and the food is good
Food is really good. It's a small place that feels crowded/cozy most of the time 😉
The food and service were top notch. So fresh and a delicious mix of flavors. We had crab Rangoon, Pad Se Ew, Crispy Pad Thai, Dragon sushi roll and Spicy Tuna. Highly recommend. BYOB!
Consistently tasty
We took out Togo, waiter was too harsh on us for being late for 5 min. Resturant was suppose to close at 930, we arrived at 848, she said your late for 5 min before taking the last order.
With this we were left with no choice to take Togo, we took spicy basil fried rice, chicken pot stickers and yellow tofu curry. Portions were much smaller to what they offer in restaurant and also yellow curry thickness was pretty much similar to watery curry.
Never experienced anything like this in this restaurant in our previous visit, wasted out 50$ on this restaurant.
Great food with exceptional service.
Edit
Wow this place has gone down hill. We stopped in for lunch. Granted it was a late lunch. Staff seemed put out. Food was mediocre at best. Sushi was lacking any substance with wasabi that had no heat or flavor. The pad thai tasted like peanut sauce and consisted of mostly noodles and chicken with little or no vegetables. Crestview location is 10x better.
Old: Great curries. Sushi was good. Not great. Kinda disappointed from all the hype on the sushi.
Great food and great service...thank you.
Very reasonably priced lunch. Tasty food. Casual vibes
We live in West Chester and every time we go to Rookwood, we drive by this place on our way home saying "we need to try Asiana". We finally did, and now it will be our go to place if we are in the area. Parking is a pain because the lot behind is very small. If you pull in and it's full, you have to do a six point turn to get out. We parked across the street in the plaza parking lot.
The place is tiny, but we were able to get seated at 1:30pm with no wait. Service was prompt considering there was only one lady working the tables. We ordered the Crab Rangoon because I read it was the best around. It definitely is! There are six in an order and they are served with a fantastic sauce. I ordered the lunch special with Thai Spicy Chicken and spicy tuna roll. I ordered a 3/10 spice level. My dish was so hot I could only eat a few bites. For a 3/10, I was shocked how hot it was. My wife got the lunch portion of the Pad See-Ew also at 3/10, and her dish was not at all as hot as mine. Both were very good and fresh, and the portion size for the money was great! Next time I will just order a 0/10 and spice the dish up on my own.
The Mayflower Roll with Hamachi and tuna was fantastic and had a significant amount of both Hamachi and Tuna. This will be our go-to Thai place from now on - most likely for carryout. Highly recommend.

Gas + large portion size

Delicious food and many vegan options
Great food and service. Dining room is small and it's first come, first serve
Noce, cozy place, but service is often slow due to those same factors.
Nice menu, very tiny inside. Quick and friendly service. Clean restrooms. You may need to wait during lunch and dinner due to how small it is.
Ordered papaya salad, Tofu drunken noodles, and seafood thai basil. The papaya salad we asked with no fish sauce because my friend is a vegetarian. They should have used a little sauce to help with flavor instead of salt. The tofu was over fried and hard, and the noodles were overcooked, so it was a mush. The seafood thai basil was good. The good thing is that the sauces were not over seasoned and salty like most thai places.
The service was very good, even on a Saturday, and the atmosphere and decor was very good.
Forgot to take pictures of the food because we were very hungry.
Great food. No wheelchair entrance though even though Google says it is accessable
Pretty good Thai food and I think the chicken is halal. Please confirm with the owner.
Parking is at the back of restaurant. It has 4-5 tables for dine in and about same parking spots by a dumpster.
The owner was very very nice
Rating: Killah!
Very small dining area which was packed. Luckily we got our food to go. Excellent! Tasty! Good price. Lots of variety. Parking was in the back and limited.
Wonderful food, extremely accommodating to gluten free. Staff was very kind and food was flavor full and fresh.
Best Thai in Cincinnati with very friendly service!! BYOB (wine) no liquor license. It’s small.
Enjoy.
If you're not a weekly regular they could care less about you. They don't serve alcohol and you can't sit at the sushi bar which doesn't matter anyway b/c the chef is on his phone the whole time.
To update my review due to the response. You stated you didn't see me on the camera or on any receipts and that's b\c I was treated so poorly by wanting to sit at the sushi bar I walked out. The servers were pissed at me b/c all their pocket books and phones were placed up on the bar and didn't like the fact I sat down forcing them to move their belongings. It was the worst customer experience I've ever had and you should be embarrassed by their behavior. When someone finally did take time out of their day to take my order they were short with me and still pissed that I was sitting where they obviously considered their personal area. I have your email and I've sent you my information.
Best Thai in Cincinnati. I order Kao Soy every time, it's consistently fantastic. Every person I've brought here loves the food- whether it be the Masaman Curry, the Thai Basil, the sushi, or their Thai tea. Lunch comes with a nice soup, they will let you set a spice level and if you under spice it there is chili oil at the table.
Very good food. And service.
Their miso soup was extremely salty. Their sushi was not very good.
Their plastic glass was broken and liking, so we have a wet table the entire time that we were there. Too expensive for what we get.
Good food, service is a little slow, but the food is tasty and they have big portions
The day red pepper flakes are considered Thai spicy is the day I stop eating Thai food. Please just make the food spicy and do not refund the person who ordered it too spicy.
I've traveled to the area twice for work. Looked forward to being able to return to this hidden local treasure. Excellent food
5 stars for the food! Whatever we order here , we end up saying it’s one of the best Thai food we’ve ever had, and we try Thai cuisine wherever we travel.
Regarding service, we’ve dined in here a few times and always found something to complain about the service. So we decided it’s best to enjoy their excellent food at home since we live nearby anyway. But you have to allow around 15 mins buffer for pick up time.
Waitress acted shocked when I walked in. Asked me was I eating in and when I said take out asked me was I sitting in to wait.I said I will sit in my car...Wish I hadn't given a tip. Food was ok even though the noodles were a little over cooked. Had to ask for sauces !!..Will not return.
Imagine never being able to eat at another Thai restaurant again because Asiana is so good. Do one final visit at your previous favorite Thai restaurant before coming here as you will never want to go back. Great prices, good atmosphere, the owner is nice. Enjoy!
Great meal. Had green beans and pork. Good service. Not much seating though so plan ahead.

We went to Asiana Thai for lunch and it was fast service with delicious food! The waitress explained everything clearly including the spice level and I had some of the best drunken noodles ever!
My oldest son, he Loves this place, Asiana !
Food is not bad and solid if your in a bind. However, I would recommend take out as my dine in experience wasn't anything to rave about. The server asked how one of my dishes was and I explained my concerns and dislike. Places with good customer service typically take it back, comp your meal or offer something else. This place does none of the above. My server didn't even apologize or attempt to remedy the situation. In addition, they are not very friendly when walking in and almost have a look of confusion as to why your there. You basically have to stand around until they decide to talk to you or seat yourself. Good luck!

We came here as suggestion from friend(s), and this place stands taller with good food, cozy sitting and service.
Was staying at a nearby hotel so decided to try the restaurant out. I walked in and a young woman waitress greeted me and I told her I wanted to order takeout and so she gave me a menu. I sat down and then waited a while to get my order taken. I saw the waitress tap an older male waiter on the shoulder and say “she wants her order taken” so he reluctantly turned around and took down my order. He didn’t answer any of my questions and in robot form took the order and said “it’ll take 10 minutes “. When I said I’d like to go in a short walk around the block he perked up suddenly and said “I need to close you out”. I assumed he meant ‘close out my tab’ so I gave him my credit card and he took it and then left me with the credit card machine and walked away. I completed the transaction and decided to email myself the receipt and as I left for my walk I saw him flirting with a young girl customer. When I returned 12 minutes later from my walk, I was greeted by a woman who acted like a manager and she gave me a hesitant smile and asked how to help me. I said I’d come to pick up my takeout order and then she motioned to several orders on the table. I saw my name and correct order on one of the printouts and so pointed to her that that was mine. She then asked if I had paid and I said “yes” and she said “wait, it doesn’t say paid”. I shrugged thinking this is not really my problem because I know I did pay but I kept quiet. She wouldn’t let me take my food. I had the fleeting thought it was because I was a black female but I let that pass. Then she asked the young waitress who I heard say “yes I think I helped her” (and she did originally help me by giving me the menu but she didn’t take my order). So I piped up and said a male waiter had helped me and they said that his name was ”Roger” (but I didn’t originally get his name). The manager woman said it should have been noted that I paid on the receipt. I told her the Roger waiter was busy fawning over a young girl picking up food and so was too distracted to do anything extra on my order. The woman manager apologized for his behavior but left me standing there without my food. I was getting tired and hungry, so I gave her the idea that I could show her my receipt that I emailed to myself. And so opened my email and showed her my receipt there. Then she finally let me leave with the takeout food.
The food was good — I had dragon sushi roll and yellow curry with chicken, but the experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. I felt badly treated. I think this restaurant can do better.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in all of Cincy 💖 always 5 stars 🌟
really like this restaurant.. this is my favorite restaurant… they never disappoint me… the staff and owner are very friendly.. the food is delicious and authentic Thailan❤️❤️👋👋
Great food and excellent staff
Their crab meat fried rice is to die for! It’s just sooo good. They’re always full during lunch time so expect to wait a bit to be seated. Hopefully they can expand in the future!
If you have a lot of time on hand, you could try this place. After about an hour a half, we still didn’t have our food so we left. So can’t really review the food. We are not going back to this place.
Although the place is rather small and difficult to get around, we were seated right away. The service was okay. We had to ask for some stuff multiple times. They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own. That was a real bummer. The sushi was just okay. I've had better. I didn't really like my food (maybe I didn't order the right thing). I got the drunken noodles. The flavor was okay, but I hate the mushy texture. Some people love this place, but with limited seating, parking, and no alcohol I can't recommend it.
Great little place for sushi. Very friendly and caring owner and staff.
So appreciative of service and care! Post pregnancy all my sister wanted was a massive platter of sushi. The owner allowed us to customize some of the rolls for dietary preferences. We actually ordered two platters but we gobbled down the first one before I could take a photo. The sushi was fantastic! Would highly recommend.
Loved the food and I really like the way the tables are set up.
I will definitely come back again for this delicious food.. had a great time with close friends.
Noodles were bland, oily, and not sweet (pad see ew). Panang curry was OK. Vegetable stir fry was good.
Tiny little resturaunt, crowded. Not a cozy atmosphere.
They didn't ask if we liked the food or if we needed anything else, etc.
This was my first time EVER having Thai food and WOWWWWW. Such an amazing restaurant! The owner Greg was so friendly and wonderful. I can’t wait to come back!
This is a great spot for a quick dinner! The place is small and cozy but we've never had to wait for a seat. The sushi is great and we love the crab rangoons. I like the drunken noodles but last time the noodles were clumpy.
This is my favorite Thai place. I always come here for my yellow curry- chicken and Thai Tea. But every now and then I try something new and I'm still a happy camper even then! To go or dine in, this is my favorite place, though the parking could be better lol I always seem to get one when I need it.
Yum best sushi ever!
Pad Thai was really good! Second best in Cincinnati!
Extremely good food and service! Should definitely should definitely try this!
Great food, friendly staff. All in all, a great experience. Ordered chicken satay and red curry (spice level 10). Chicken satay was nicely done (chicken wasn't too dry or too moist - it was just perfect). The sauces that accompanied the satay were great !!!!! Red curry was spicy as ordered and tasted great. The portions were great as well !!! Definitely coming back here again.
This place was recommended by a friend. The food and service is great. They should really work on their space constraints but overall a really good place for dinner and a must try for everyone.
This is a very solid, well-liked place to grab both Thai food and sushi. Have loved this place for years.
We've been to Asiana a handful of times since moving to Cincinnati. We really enjoy the food and the service is friendly. The venue is quite small but doesn't feel cramped.
The sushi is decent but I really enjoyed the Red Curry, it has a perfect amount of spice.
Really yummy food - I’ve had the yellow curry and pad Thai and both were very delicious. Everyone there is always so kind and very attentive. And the restaurant itself is extremely clean and well-maintained. Definitely would highly recommend
Nice place with friendly manager and staffs.
Incredible Thai! Some of the best in Cinci for sure—my family lived in Thailand for 30+ years so we’re picky.
Fast expedient, courteous, and some damn good sushi!
There is no handicap accessibility for the entrance, and the owners were confused at my requests for a ramp.
Edit: Sorry Greg, but you DID have a conversation with me on Sept 22.
I'm not surprised that your landlord is claiming they don't have to update your building, but they're being obtuse. The Americans With Disabilities Act contains no provisions regarding "grandfathering" for old buildings which predate the law, and does in fact require businesses & landlords to update their buildings to comply.
Just because other businesses fail as well does not change that your steps prevent wheelchair access. I will not remove this 1-star review, as it accurately reflects the physical state of your business. I recognize that you're running a small family business, but if you can afford to exclude or inconvenience the 25% of Americans with mobility issues, you're clearly doing well enough.
Please consider at least buying a cheap ramp off Amazon to use in a pinch.
Services were slow. Food not great at all. My husband ordered a yellow tail hand roll and the waitress told us they don't make hand roll. After she talked to the chef, he got his yellowtail hand roll. When the check came, the price of one yellowtail hand roll was $13.95. That's ridiculous! Other sushi restaurants charge between $5-$7 per a hand roll. I would not recommend this place.
Went out to lunch with office friends. We had fabulous food, great service and quick seating. Highly recommend the pad Thai and Massaman curry. The lunch portions came in cute little bento boxes. We also tried the Thai spring rolls and coconut shrimp appetizers.
#BestThaiFoodCincinnati
Best place to get Thai food in Cincinnati. All dishes are great, especially the curries. Great broth. #bestthaifoodcincinnati
Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. I will be coming back. This was my first time having Thai food and I will be coming back. #bestthaifoodcincinnati
Service was slow. Food was cold and came out at all different times. We had to ask several times about our food. Was really hoping for a good experience. Overpriced for quality and experience at the restaurant. Better sushi elsewhere.
Tasty Thai food...
Asiana is consistently the best Thai food we can find in Cincinnati. The people are great, the sushi is great, and the chili crisp at every table is incredible. #BestThaiFoodCincinnati
Small place but packs a punch! Family friendly and delish!
#BestThaiFoodCincinnati and anywhere.
Such a good lunch deal for $10
I had a great time. The staff was very accommodating for us.. We had a larger party (there are no reservations only negative), but the staff rearranged the table in the smaller dining area so we could fit comfortably. The wait time for my party was a little long only because we ordered over a 100-piece sushi boat, but the wait time for other food that I observed was extremely fast. The best part of the whole experience was food. The sushi rolls were to die for. I highly recommend that if you are in the
rookwood area, you give them a try.
We lovvvveeee this place. The service is amazing and the food is to die for. It's small and intimate and foodies dream!
I ordered takeout on their website after I was disappointed a few weeks back from a different sushi spot. I'm in cincy for a short period and wanted to give the sushi one more shot.
It was the best nigiri sushi I have ever had.
I've been all over the world (not Japan yet) and never had nigiri this good. Specifically, the yellowtail (i think its yellowtail), which is usually not my favorite, tasted and melted like soft butter. Unbelievable. The eel and California rolls were also delicious.
Highly recommend.
Unfortunately, this was not good. I ordered my favorite, crispy pad Thai, and I've never seen anything like it. However, something needs to be changed at this restaurant.
Picked up chicken coconut soup, green bean stir fry, drunken noodles, and pad thai. Everything we got with egg as the protein so that my vegetarian daughter could eat it. Everything was just the right spice level and very good, but the green beans were outstanding. Will definitely be our new go to thai place thanks to the awesome good, convenient location near the highway, and parking lot.
Spicy nooooooooodles!!!!
Good
Absolutely delicious. Excellent service. The lovely lady even chased us down outside the restaurant when my friend left her purse at the table!
Thanks again!
This place is fantastic! Great service and great atmosphere. The food is amazing! Prices are great. Just be mindful as they have "limited" parking in the back. Also this restaurant is tiny. We didn't have any issues with either, but I can see it maybe a problem during busy hours. Other than that, it's worth it. I highly recommend this little gem!
They cram 30 ppl into a 15x15 space. Super crowded. It took 40 mins to get our dinner. No thanks! Never again. If you like eating in a shoe box. Better eat before you come here, you will be waiting a long time!
After arriving at nearby Thai place called Lemongrass and leaving bummed I realized I accidentally placed my order here at Asiana as I had looked up both Thai places trying to find Lemongrass. Makes sense why the lady taking my takeout order was confused by what I was ordering. I wish I could say Asiana blew me away like some of these reviews. It was just ok. I got pineapple fried rice, satay, and crab rangoon. Portions are significantly smaller than Lemongrass’s. First time trying satay..and last. Four thinly cut unseasoned pieces of chicken on a stick with 1tbsp of peanut sauce and cucumber sauce on side. Crab Rangoon were tasty just wished I was given more than 1tbsp of sauce for the quantity you receive. Pineapple fried rice was ok just wish there were more than three pieces of pineapple! I get it inflation has affected everything so the portion issues aren’t the deal breaker. It’s just that overall the experience was pricey and lacking compared to what I know I can get from Lemongrass.
Really good sushi and excellent Thai. Ambiance was delightfully shabby, but they remodeled and it's quite nice. Service is very friendly, but can be slow for dine-in due to all the carryout orders they fill. Limited immediate parking.
5 star Panang Curry and 3 star pad see ew were perfect! The pad Thai was on the sweet side.
Be prepared to wait for a table, it was super crowded the whole time and is a very small dining space
One of the best in town for Thai!
Good food and awesome service, the couple owner is super nice
Best Thai food in Cincinnati. Really fresh food and amazing service.
Small...really small! Don't know the names of those dishes but they were all delicious. On my way there now.
Greatest place to eat in Cincinnati! Highly recommend to anyone who is visiting thru. Best food and service. Thanks Toey!
We had potstickers, pad woon, sushi and mango sticky rice. Everything was amazing especially the mango sticky rice and the staff was very friendly and amiable
Dinner here tonight was amazing, it hit the spot. Was greeted immediately upon arrival and sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Our server, Nitty did a phenomenal job in insuring that our table had everything we needed. The food was amazing, we ordered Crab Rangoons that were perfectly crispy, and the sushi rolls were delicious. Thank you to Nitty for making our experience so enjoyable. We will be back soon!
It was the worst Japanese and Thai food I've ever eaten. I went because the reviews were good, but it was a waste of money. I was so disappointed and I feels like that Americans who have not eaten Asian food wrote reviews saying that it was delicious without knowing it. Do not waste your money.
Dropped in for lunch and had the special soup & pad thai and sushi! OUTSTANDING!
My wife and I have been told that Asiana has fantastic sushi many times. Last year I was looking for "best pineapple fried rice in Cincinnati" surprisingly there were relevant results and Asiana had reviews about PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE! We finally got a couple hours to ourselves sat evening and stopped in for early dinner. Very glad we did. They don't serve alcohol BUT allow you to bring your own! Very cool. We didn't know that prior to sitting down though. But no biggie. My wife got the drunken noodles (the young lady next to us ordered that, which prompted her to check it out) she loved it. I tried it, and it was very good. Service was great, friendly and attentive. The place was very clean, and comfortable and my wife was smitten by the cozy little 2 chair table by the window seating that we had. "It's so cute" to be exact. I wouldn't recommend it for any conversations that need to be kept private or that could get heated. There is no privacy. Parking is suitable but they seem to run pretty much full house so you may need to back out of the lot to let someone out before you can park. Food was gorgeous, generous, and piping hot when it should have been and the sushi temp was perfect. I'm not a fan of warm sushi. IMHO it should NEVER be warmer than almost chilled.
We'll go back for sure. Give it a whirl it won't disappoint.
Great food, I will be returning!
We placed a complicated order for a family with lots food allergies. Crystal provided awesome service and the kitchen offered a gluten-free soy sauce for my celiac mom. Very appreciative of their work.
My favorite Thai restaurant! The boss so nice and food delicious! Recommend
Good food, good atmosphere, good service. Cristina is a pogchamp waitress. Even got to see old women complain about nothing. Perfect dining experience
I ordered catering for 20 people, for an office lunch, the food was amazing and hot and EXACTLY what I ordered. What was also refreshing was the attitude of the individual delivering the food. He was very courteous, polite, and very friendly!.
Good food, fast service, my niece and I enjoyed two lunch specials, sweet and sour, pad Thai, avocado and California roll along with the friend sushi roll. Overall, great little place to eat. If you enjoy Asiana and your ever in California try Thai Country in Clovis California very delicious and fresh Thai food I would say its comparable to Asiana both quality food you will love it.. I love Thai food and so does,my niece now 😁
Very nice place! The food and service were awesome. The rolls are a bit expensive in my opinion, but it’s well worth it for how fresh and delicious they taste. Btw they go heavy on the onion in the miso, in case that’s not how you like it. The thai iced tea is also amazing! I will definitely be coming back, I want to try new foods here.
Food order came out appetizer and entree same time, not a big deal. They appetizer was severely over cooked and dried out. No offer to refund it, just asked if I wanted a box to take it home. Why would anyone want to take something like that home. Lame server and inattentive manager. Sweet Basil or Mai Thai are far superior choices. Will be going to them moving forward. Hope the 8.95 you made serving an appetizer a dog wouldn't eat was worth it.
This restaurant needs to be 5x bigger, it is sooo yummy the only flaw is it doesn't have enough tables for all of Cincinnati
