We like this shop normally and eat here all the time and today seemed like a good day for pho being somewhat chilly but this was excessive even with being busy. And we were not the only ones waiting even a doordasher was standing there for over 30 minutes. They were disorganized and not knowing what they were doing. Was a disappointing waste of time and now other options for dinner are closing besides fast food. No longer a 5 star experience 😢

2022-2023: Had the combo pho, crab Rangoon and some lemon mango tea and everything was delicious. Portions were also huge. The girl who served us was also super nice.😊

Tried the sweet and sour chicken and my husband loved it also the massaman curry with broccoli added. Much richer and more savory than the red curry similar to a gravy to me.

When I find something I like, I get the same thing most every time I visit. My food i order here is Delicious and the best for the area aside from making yourself from scratch at home. I order Summer rolls and Large bowl 🥣 of BEEF PHO and it's the best every time I visit. Once you order, food is prepared fresh yet very fast to arrive at your table. If you want good food with healthy ingredients and very short wait for food preparation so you can eat and go, this is a great place. Atmosphere is great, I Love ❤️ the plants and I think you will also!

Came here to try some Panang curry. Got a nice table in front of the TV. Ordered a tea pot to enjoy with the meal. Asked for spice level of 1-5, chose 5 with pork and it was still spicy even with the coconut milk. Nice tableware. Service right away. Harder to spot from the street but there are some OPEN signs on the door. Wasn't busy for me on Saturday

Best pho anywhere in the Akron Canton area easily

Thai Pataya is one of our favorite places to get pho. Juju always takes amazing care of us, and the boba tea is incredible. The jalapenos are spicier than anywhere else around, which we love. The atmosphere, with its cute plants and fishtanks, adds to the charm. Juju definitely deserves a raise!

This was our groups 3rd lunch. Each time the wait staff were exceptional explaining the different Thai meals available. Food was outstanding. On our 1st visit I passed it twice. The Pattaya is hiding in a little strip mall on Portage Lakes drive just before the clock tower.

The Bluetooth speaker and choice of music makes the dining experience very poor. The owner is also unwilling to turn down the volume. The food is amazing as are the servers but the Bluetooth speaker makes it a very poor experience..

This place has amazing food. Decor is a little funky/outdated. The meatballs for the pho could be better, I don't recommend those, but otherwise the pho is top notch. The chicken larb gai salad is probably the best Thai dish I've ever had... Just needs to be a larger portion and charge a few dollars more.

We Order from here on uber eats. Wow! So good. Its a refreshing change from the typical Chinese take out. You can tell they take pride in their food. Pad thai was awesome, their curry is spot on, and the drunken noodles where fantastic...the food arrived so hot, we had to wait to eat it lol. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were enough for a second meal. But let me tell you about their peanut sauce for the satay, I wish they sold it buy the gallon!! So good. My only minor complaint was we wish it was a bit more spicy. But this is our new go to for take out.

Went for my birthday got the papaya salad which was omg delicious and the pad thai which was a bit to sweet. Spice level is between 1-5 and I chose 4 wishing I would have chose 5 because four was barely any spice. Boyfriend got the Thai rice with chicken and shrimp and it honestly lacked a lot of flavor. I have ate at plenty Thai restaurants in my lifetime and from thai friends homes personally. The food was subpar except for the papaya salad that was a for sure 1000% greatness. Just wish they gave you more side options to eat with the papaya salad because some sticky rice or chicharrones would have went perfect with it. Will try this place again maybe try the pho next time but our server was very good very nice don't remember her name but next time I go I will for sure ask for her.

We have ordered food from here for a long time and it's always been our favorite. We usually order a couple times a month at least. But we don't know if they have new owners or what happened, But the last two times that we have ordered we specifically said no mushrooms in our food and they continue to put mushrooms in. Even though mushrooms is not listed as one of the items for cashew nut. I called to complain about it and told the girl They messed up and put mushrooms in again and I was going to have to throw my food away and her response was okay that's fine. I was not yelling or being rude. I was just trying to explain to her that there are not supposed to be mushrooms in this dish and I specifically asked for no mushrooms and after her response she hung up on me. We will not be going back. I'm not leaving this review because they messed up a couple orders. I'm leaving this review because they simply do not care.

We have been going to this restaurant for years and the food is absolutely amazing! We've lived in many different states and struggled to find decent Thai food. This is our favorite restaurant.

Ordered through Uber eats this evening. I ordered a ginger salad with beef ball pho and a side of vegetables. I felt nauseous for hours afterwards. It is 2 a.m. and I have been vomiting with diarrhea for the last two hours. I cannot keep down water.

Immediately, when walking in the door, the pleasant smell was all around us. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food came to the table and I thought it was a small portions, but non of us could finish it, so looks can be deceiving. Overall definitely come try this place out

Thai Pattaya is such a hidden gem. This is the best pho in the area. In fact, every single meal that I have had has been amazing. Everything has so much flavor. Their kids meal is a favorite of my son's. The Chai is the perfect blend of spices and creaminess. I would eat here once a week if I could.

The service is great. The staff is attentive without being overbearing. They have answered any questions that I have had about the menu with ease.

My low rating on the atmosphere is because, for some reason, I strongly dislike their chairs. That's a me thing, though. I also can hear the other diners because of the acoustics in there. It's not a complete turnoff for me because I keep going back! The food is just that good!

After reading reviews, we couldn’t wait to try it. Drove 45 minutes to carry out their coconut soup. At first glance in the car we questioned if it was just chicken noodle soup because the broth was pretty clear . We took it back in and they assured us it was not. Drove home 45 minutes and took our first bite. Tasted like water, with no flavor, lol ease refer to photo as evidence. Person that answered the phone was very kind, but the owner was the one that had said she would give us 20% off for next time. There is no next time so we requested our money back, and they said no. Poor customer service and flavorless soup. Wish the experience would have been different.

My family and I were visiting the area after an unexpected death. We stumbled across this tucked away gem, and it made our whole day. Our waitress was incredibly attentive, took time with us to walk us through the menu and all the flavors each dish had. Our meals were nothing short of fabulous (yes, we all shared). When we reached maximum capacity and asked for to go boxes, she filled up our broth and gave us all the amenities to make the second meal just as good as the first. Not being from the area and dealing with funeral detail, this was really like a home away from home and definitely brightened our dreary day.

We came in from out of town and stumbled upon this wonderful establishment. The food, service and ambience were 10/10.

As a Thai person, I’m just a little disappointed that it wasn’t as authentic as I thought it would be. The Pad Kra Pao was so soupy (I’m not sure why? I guess it might be a family recipe.) but all I asked was for it to have some spice, (lots of it actually) because that how Pad Kra Pao is usually cooked. But no, it was not spicy at all, not a hint. My lo mein was soupy as well, not sure why. Lo mein is usually stir fried and kind of on the oilier side, however mines was more like a ramen noodle. On the bright side, the white rice was perfect cooked! That’s all.

The Basil Tilapia is the best thing ever after you cycle 50km. Best I've had. A++ will eat again.

Have been wanting to try this place for years. I miss my little Thai place when I was in jersey next to the laundromat that I used to wash at every Saturday. First off place is empty which I get it but how nice for us. Juju our server was excellent. Ambiance was calming and inviting. Now on to what truly people want to hear..the food. We ordered the appetizer sampler and its just all good. Fresh and homemade and made with care. Dumplings are easily the best I've had. I got the pho beef. I have never had pho and have heard from friends that it is the best around and maybe I am just basing it off this one dish but yes it is the best. I just love the smell of that Thai basil. Wife got the drunken noodles and it is a stick to the ribs dish with so much flavor. Kids meals are a literal dinner and desert combined and prepared elegantly.

After two bad experiences with Thai Pattaya I'm disappointed. The menu reads Satay Chicken is 3 sticks and every restaurant serves 2-3 pcs of chicken per stick. This place lies and serves only 4 pcs of chicken not on sticks. With tip we paid over $2 for each piece pictured.

As a doordash driver, this place can be very slow with the orders. It’s like they get them at the last minute and start making the food late.

The appetizers were the best! Literally best crab Rangoon I’ve ever had. The entrees however were underwhelming and lacked traditional Thai flavor. Even the drunken noodles were off. (We go to Thai places whenever possible) the star of the night was the 2-tier children’s meal. Oh my word, the absolute cutest. Also the bubble tea is not bubble tea. It is a smoothie with bubbles in the bottom. That was disappointing and not explained on the menu. After reading the reviews I see we should have gotten pho. Maybe stay in that lane if you visit here.

I normally get the Pho but went for seafood platter today instead. I ordered it with the wrapped shrimp amd summer rolls. Summer rolls werent as good as they used to be. Wrapped shrimp were the slam..Got my Seafood Platter and out of the whole shtimp(overcooked) crayfish(very small) mussels and crab. With kielbasa and obviously frozen corn. The sauce was awesome but the small crayfish got annoying to peel. Just gonna stick to the Pho next time.

I'm new to the area and wanted a good Pho. This was just what I was looking for. I got a carryout pho combo and it was incredible. Highly recommend.

I know im going to spell it wrong but if you haven't tried the panning curry give it a shot. The flavor is awesome and the spice in my opinion is great it's not that pow in your face heat and very palatable. I will definitely be returning!!

This is such a hidden gem! My friend took me here recently and I am sad that I didn't know about this place earlier, despite living in the area for 5 years.

Most of the menu is gluten free, which is a huge plus for me since I'm celiac! I've had the red Thai curry with Tofu, the beef brisket pho, and the sticky mango rice dessert so far. All were delicious! Hot, well cooked, and tastes fresh. I love the side of Thai basil, lettuce, and bamboo shoots that come with the pho.

Quick heads up to fellow GF people: the hoisin sauce that comes on the side with a pho order is NOT gluten free. The spicy sauces are, though!

The tea selection is excellent, and you get a full pot served in a proper teapot. 🫖 I love the cup and saucers they offer, too; they're all different kinds of patterns and china. Just fun! I recommend the chai tea; sweet, hot, and strong. Very good for winter!

BEWARE! Possibly the worst restaurant in Ohio. The quality of the food is horrible. Sauces are runny and tasteless,ingredients are low quality, dishes are small and overpriced. Ordered summer rolls shrimp was so small couldn't see it pork was grounded up and dry. Wing order was a joke! They looked like baby chicken wings (menu only offers one size) they were over seasoned and dried up if you were to add up all the meat it would amount to 2 regular size wings if that. Dipping sauce tasteless and watery will never ever go back and I suggest you don't either

Their pho was amazing and despite being 12 years since I had authentic pho, this was delicious. Restaurant is bare bones but I always choose good food over horrible food in a fancy place. The wait staff was very attentive. Beautiful drive by the lakes too.

Used to like this place and it has taken a turn. $14 for the worst sesame chicken ive ever had. They didn't even put the sauce on it. Weak portion, that was overly salted and overcooked to a nice leathery consistency. Hopefully, this was a one off and the chef was just having a bad day.

Second visit there. Pho is the best I've had, all the best flavors you expect in the broth, with plenty of Sriracha and oil on side for heat. The medium is more than I can finish, but so worth it. The eggrolls are perfect and the dumplings were really filling. Our server was very quick and polite, great service all around. For 2 people we had 2 appetizers, 2 Pho, one whole fish, and tab was about $45-$50. A great price for the quality and quantity we had.

The prices were a little high overall but again, the food is quite good and this is a rather unique offering amongst the New Franklin, Coventry, and Portage Lakes areas.

Excellent. I got two dishes, one noodle with beef, one curry with rice. Reasonable portions. I got medium spice. Not too hot. Together it cost $23 without the tip. Waited 15 minutes in my car. The manager brought it out to me. She was very nice.

Been a long time since i had food that remind me of home. This place is it. The spice levels just right. Extra extra extra spicy for me.

Awful, don't waste your time. The food was abysmal, the beef for the pho was rubbery and overcooked. The peanut sauce tastes like JIF peanut butter with water. The broth itself was overly sweet. Good service.

Wonderful place. Our server Dianna was absolutely amazing. She was very helpful and went above and beyond while we were there. Food was great and fair priced as well. Definitely coming back!

I know very little about Thai cuisine, but love the flavors. We stopped in hoping for a great meal. We had Megan as our server. She was so very helpful and passionate about the food she served. She informed us and help pick out all of our meals. They arrived and were so very delicious!. Can't wait to return. Everything was perfect for all of us. I very much do recommend stopping in. The chefs are the owners and the only ones doing the cooking. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Excellent, AUTHENTIC Thai cuisine! Their spicy rice, pho, spring rolls and red curry are excellent! Dine in was safely distanced and our server was fabulous! Great prices too!

I have been dining at this restaurant for years and the food is always great. The Pad Thai is some of the best I've had. The staff is super friendly. Highly recommend.

So this place was not so great, first of all no one greeted me, then when I finally got sat I waited a long time before the waitress asked me what I wanted, (by the way, the waitress was also the hostess) and then observing the place I noticed that the table and chairs are nothing special, need to be updated very bad, they look like the same kind of table and chairs you would see in an office, or in a school, and the floor was very dirty, needs updated too. Not to mention there are only 8 tables total in the whole restaurant, the food was not that great, I could tell that most of it was frozen and not fresh, the service was not very great either, definitely do not recommend this place until they make some major changes.

Fantastic as always. The variety of tea pots, actual teacups, delicious food, along with the friendly staff set this place apart from any other restaurant.

Our service tonight was amazing 🤩. The food was delicious! We had Pho, chocolate banana bubble tea, and the kids meal. Took our mango rice desert to go. Loved our waitress!

Excellent pho. Noodle dishes were great, stir fries and curries top-notch. No alcohol, though (meh, saved some $$). Staff is pleasant. Decor is so-so, but the food is so good I didn't give it much thought.

First time here, the food was really delicious. The prices are decent as well, highly recommend.

OMG! I first ate here when I was like 7 or 8 years old (I'm 14 now) and this place is still the same I love everything, from their pad Thai to their pho. For such a hole in the wall restaurant this place deserves an entire building. The building cleans up really nicely and the service is phenomenal. The owners are such great people and the staff is the cherry on top. You can tell that they put their time and money into this place and it is really sad that more people don't come here. Keep up the good work!😁

First time trying carry out and it's instantly a new favorite! The food is excellent and extremely flavorful and fresh. The service was outstanding. I would highly recommend!

What a lovely little hidden gem! Varied menu with excellent flavors, very friendly server, and delicious chai tea served in a beautiful kettle. We will definitely return!

I'm a big fan of Pad Pattaya and very thankful to get a thai food here often. Yes they have sticky rice and fantastic curries. If you like thai food, you will probably love this place!

Perfectly cooked Thai food. I was not impressed with the boba balls, but it's not this places main thing. Place was good and I would def go back.

Me and my mother decided to try bubbles tea and it WAS good!!but one issue, the Tropical Pearl taste bland and I thought it was gonna be sweet but the drink was still pretty good.

Such a great local place to get pho! The dome special is amazing! Filled with many different seafood and the owner is very nice and the place is clean!

I hate to be this way…. But it’s not the same.
When it was first bought out and it was a tea room. They had sushi. Then the kind gentleman and his wife… which I believe were family took it over.
That’s what he told me anyhow. They had sushi!!!
I haven’t been there for about 3 years and it’s not the same.
The sesame chicken is completely different. Different chicken, sauce/flavor….. presentation.
I got the beef/tendon Pho.Good flavor and ingredients….. but it hardly had any meat in it. :(

I’m sad to say but today will most likely be my last visit. The waitress we had was sooo sweet tho. She did a really good job.
The one dark haired waitress that worked there for years— idk what happened to her??
Probably covid.
I don’t want to discourage anyone from trying their food. It’s still good. But not as great as before.
It makes me sad. When you get used to a place and then it changes….. it’s just not the same.
I do wish them the best. But my $87 will be spent somewhere else next time. :(

EDIT TO RESPOND TO OWNER: I’m not trying to say it’s bad… it’s just not same when the previous family member had it. It’s ok to have different tastes. And I DID have a restaurant/bakery before. I had to take the good with the bad. I’m just trying to state the food isn’t the same as when he ran/owned it.
That’s why I made my review the way it was. It is my opinion and if you have people that love everything about you— don’t worry about me. I just wanted to point out I can tell that a new owner is present there.
