I literally watch a guy grab sushi rolls with his bare hands and package it up. It was incredably unsanitary. It almost made me request a refund because I didnt want them touching my food with their bare hands. He didnt even wash his hands before he grabbed multiple sushi rolls. Im sorry but I am disgusted and will not return.

I was waiting for my order Mr and literally saw one of the cooks sip out of a stainless steel ladle that he was cooking with. This was my last visit to this establishment. Gross. Just gross.

One thing about this place is for certain, they do NOT hold back on the protein you choose. The hibachi is overall pretty solid. Highly recommend for anyone trying to bulk. Will be coming back at some point.

First time buying from here, Got a few different types of sushi rolls, the eel and avocado rolls felt like it had something hard in it, couldn’t find anything inside that would have that feel, but I could feel something in a couple of the rolls, the yellowtail and tuna rolls are just below average

I was picking up a DoorDash. They were very disrespectful. I accidentally left without an item. They called me and were rude. Would not recommend for service.

We ordered a takeout Philly roll, a Southern California fried roll, a deluxe sashimi set, and miso soups. There weren't too many people in the car and our order came out pretty quickly after about 7-10 minutes. About the rolls, I won't say they were delicious, pretty good for their price. The miso soup didn't taste like water, I was disappointed. But the pieces of fish in the sashimi were very fresh and large.

Their yum yum roll is so good and on point, fair priced restaurant love everything about it.

I end up thinking about having sushi here every week. I am sick of places charging over 30 dollars for some mediocre sushi’s so I just keep coming back here. I feel so blessed to live close by

I personally think pad Thai is way too sweet but that’s just how generally pad tai taste like over here maybe.

Update: This time ordered scallop Udon and they gave me only veggies I was quite sad.

You have to consider the price of the sushi when you judge it. The spicy tuna roll was mediocre but the salmon and tuna nigiri were both very good and fresh. Tuna roll and six pieces of nigiri for $14 cannot be beat.

Used to eat this place all the time, there was okay food with reasonable price. Came back today after a year moving away. The sushi was fantastic! The freshness and quality is better than I could remember. The kitchen food served in a huge portion with reasonable price. I tried the Salmon in Thai chili sauce just because they said “authentic Thai chili sauce”. They came authentic as they said! Love it, will be back!

This is my favorite spot for Sushi and Hibachi!!! The food is delicious and the prices are great. What I love most is the excellent customer service. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. There have been several times in which they have gone out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. One time I had a huge order and failed to get any sauce/napkins. The lady came outside to my car and asked if I needed any. Another time I was inquiring about the receipt for a purchase I made weeks earlier. The gentleman got on the phone immediately and spent what seemed like forever on the phone in attempts to get me what I needed. You don't get much of that nowadays, after they get your money, most businesses don't care about anything else. I have been wanting to do his review for a while and finally decided to just stop what I'm doing and get it done. I want to let them know how much the great service is appreciated!!!!

This used to be my go to spot when I was in the mood for Chinese dinner but they unfortunately have stopped putting in effort in their food quality.

I ordered a simple beef fried rice and the rice was burnt and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Unfortunately I went hungry that night and had to throw away the food as it was inedible. I was really disappointed in them since they were the last place I wanted to eat from before I moved from the area.

Is it the most amazing food you will ever have? No. BUT! Is it very tasty, are the portions enough for two meals, and are the prices good? Absolutely. I order from Hibachi Sushi like once or twice a month and the service is always very fast. Their fried tofu hibachi and tom kha soup are very good.

Seems hit or miss based on other reviews, but I totally got a hit. Ordered Ubereats pickup and it was on time. Hibachi chicken was surprisingly tasty and well portioned, and the Tokyo Roll was a solid 8. It’s nothing crazy, but my experience was more like a 4.5 Star to-go Japanese place. Not sure how so many people had bad experiences.

The spicy mayo in a dipping container was GENEROUS the salmon nigiri I got was amazing and the rolls I got were amazing, on top of that all the sushi rice is good and it's so cheap! I mean 4.99 for a salmon roll?! Have you ever heard of such a thing? It's marvelous!

Quality of food has gone done the last 6 months...don't know why they are always busy but the last 2 times I got food there it was NOT as good as it used to be

Do I have covid? That was the question I started to ask myself after tasting this food because I have heard that sometimes people lose their sense of smell and taste when they have covid. That's how bad this food was.

I ordered it via Uber, and sitting in my hotel room, I was longing for just a packet of salt. Ironically, the packet of soy sauce that came with the sushi was low sodium.

Speaking of the sushi, there were 4 option levels of spiciness on the "spicy" tuna roll. I chose the hottest. What they delivered would have been a good substitute for baby food. The wasabi, which could have fit in a thimble, had no flavor and no spice. I put it all on one pitiful piece of sushi and didn't know that it was even there.

After this wholly unsatisfying meal, I went to brush my teeth before bed. The mint in the toothpaste was far more flavorful than the food, so I knew that I didn't have covid. All I had was a terrible meal and wasted money.

My advice (particularly if you are sitting in a hotel room browsing the UberEats app: just close this window and return to the list of restaurants. Anything - and I mean anything - would be better.

Do not cut tiny pieces of zucchini, onion, and CABBAGE in a stir fry. They disintegrate and taste terrible. Also, chef clean your knife before cutting sushi.

Great place for a hot, quick delicious meal thats easy on the wallet. Your order is cooked right there on the spot in front of you and it's a very short wait time. Seems to be a popular spot for the college students so the atmosphere is in and out.

Disappointed they don't offer teriyaki plates but I ordered the Thai pineapple fried rice for $12.99 and it is a massive serving. I feel like I got a fair amount of shrimp and pineapple chunks. The flavor is very good and addicting. I would order it again. I ordered pickup, it was ready in the given ETA and the cashier was very friendly. The place was very busy and had 3 people working the front counter.

I got a rainbow roll and a Boston roll they were really good! The rainbow roll had giant chunks of tuna, salmon and Mackerel. They didn't taste fishy at all. I also got a plan order of soba noodles. 10/10 would recommend.

Recommended this place to a friend for pineapple fried rice. She said she got 3 pieces of pineapple and 4 shrimp in a giant box of rice. Severely lacking flavor. Very disappointed

They have good service and their sushi is ok. I would order again though so can’t complain too much. I just might be spoiled by some higher end sushi places around here. This restaurant doubles up as a quick take out spot right next to NCSU campus so most likely target population is students. I mostly enjoyed the sushi with soy sauce and their white sauce but not just by itself as I’ve had at other places. Other than that, the food was enjoyable.

The sushi was sloppy, poor quality, and gross. The hibachi was absolutely disgusting; I didn't even eat it. All of it was soggy, room temperature, and just simply horrible.

Hands down best sushi for the price in this area. I ate it every single week this past summer and still eat it now anytime I crave sushi. For my vegetable lovers, they have an amazing sweet potato roll plus others. A hidden gem for sure. Their hibachi is also really good and the steak is always so tender. And for the price you really can't beat the portion size.

this is hardly hibachi, no hibachi flavor at ALL. the vetetables are watery, chicken was like something out of a can, so slimy…rice was BURNT. omg, this is by far one of the worst places I’ve eaten in Raleigh, if not the absolute worst. I've been going to Hibachi sushi regularly ever since I moved here about 5 years ago. Their hibachi and sushi is amazing, love the pad Thai, honestly anything I've tried is good. All sushi is always half off and the prices are unbeatable considering the quality. It's very rare that they're running behind and everyone who works there has always been polite and kind to me. I seriously couldn't recommend this place more if you want cheap, quality sushi. :)

Ordered through GrubHub. Ordered 4 rolls, received 3. Tried to call about the mistake and was told by the Sushi "chef" there was no mistake. When I told him I ordered 4 rolls and only received 3, he hung up on me. Further, one of the 3 rolls I received was not what I ordered and another was made in the Tamaki style (cones, not cut) which is not something I would ever order on purpose. The fact they hung up on me instead of trying to make it right means I cannot recommend them.

this place is a staple of NC state living. I have heard some people have had bad experiences but I never have had one myself. you can buy 2 dinner-sized portions of chicken fried rice for less than 8$. I one time ordered 22 entrees and they had it ready in 20 minutes. it's cheap fast and easy, but do NOT come here expecting a fancy feast.

ordered on GrubHub, and selected the sushi hand roll, the picture even shows a typical sushi hand tool, that's not what I was given. I received a sushi burrito, not cut, not even neat, would not recommend. also had the hibachi steak, partner says it taste like it was out of a can, take what you will with that information.

Their customer service is extremely horrible. They move around like their looking for a needle in a hayseed stack. The girls that take your order are inexperienced and this creates a longer wait times with placing an order or picking up one. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to my enemy.

This place is great price food

Sushi is pretty good. Warning if you order a vegetarian roll to be delivered as well as non-vegetarian rolls… they will put them in the same box right next to each other. You would think it would be common sense not to do that but apparently not. Also none of the sushi is marked so be prepared to sort through everything if you get delivery.

Definitely will not be a return customer. The food was nothing to rave about and worse quality than other options in the area at the same price point.

I have lived in Raleigh for 4 years and this is still my favorite go to spot for Hibachi, it’s always on point. Their sushi is pretty ok for the price but it’s worth it if you aren’t looking to spend $20-$30 on a roll.

The chicken was very cold it had rancid and stinky smell and disgusting taste.

I went there the first time yesterday. It was great! It's not a fancy place, but that's kind of its beauty. It's a place for simple, good noodles, rice, etc. IT was super easy to order online, and by time I drove there, it was ready for me. I will definitely be back soon :)

I’ll start out by saying the service is on point. I ordered through an online delivery app, and all my “special notes” about preparation were exactly as specified. However, I will say that the hibachi looked and tasted weird. It’s edible, with lots of ginger and white sauce, but I’ve never seen hibachi look the way it did- just lots of stringy, soggy vegetables. Not as fresh as most hibachi places. I would be willing to try something else there though just because the service is excellent.

I come here all the time. For the amount of food you get for the money, this place can't be beat. A large will easily give you three, maybe four meals for $9, and it's very good and quick too.

I frequent this spot all the time for sushi and pad Thai. It's a wonderful spot near state that offers BOGO sushi all day, and solid Thai/Chinese. The sushi cut grade here is good. Not as good as a dedicated "sushi" resteraunt, but you get what you pay for. I suggest the Tokyo roll, dream roll, pad Thai (spicy), or the hibachi steak. They are very popular and for good reason.

They went above and beyond to correct an order, even near closing during a hectic night! Takeout and delivery has always been stellar.

Ordered through Door Dash. Steak was overcooked and rubbery, chicken was bland, shrimp is overcooked and freezer burnt. It all was flavorless and mostly inedible. Sushi was flavorless and oddly prepared and seemed a bit sketch.

I honestly set my expectations pretty low before trying Hibachi Sushi. My wife and I ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp, hibachi scallops and shrimp, clear chicken broth soup and edamame. The shrimp were freezer burned and very overcooked and gritty but the scallops were perfectly cooked. They clearly velvet the chicken, which I like and it was pretty good but bland. Both hibachi dishes were bland but HUGE portions. The chicken broth soup was so salty we dumped it out, it was inedible. Finally, the edamame was perfect, as expected, it's just edamame. The employees were neither friendly or rude but did appear very disorganized. I was going to order sushi but after seeing the sushi counter, I changed my mind. I guess this is a long winded way of saying "you probably should try a different restaurant".

Worst Habachi EVER ate! Shrimp was hard, rice was terrible AND we specifically asked for yum yum sauce and were told each plate comes with three. And we were once again reassured about sauces upon pickup. We received NO sauce. WORST HABACHI EVER!! FIRST AND LAST VISIT!
