Hip, casual storefront spot for Thai cooking, with creative cocktails, 4 types of iced tea & coffee.
Great food and service.
Stopped with for the 2nd time and thought it def deserved a good review.
My wife loved the crispy duck and the egg fried rice that it came with was super delicious.
The crispy calamari was great but the sauce it came with could've been a little bit better.
Over all, 5 star
Excuse the messy photo of the food. It was so good we got carried away
that we finished it all
I’m very happy with my dinner at Bangkok Cuisine. I got a very comforting green curry with shrimp. Good amount of shrimps! Right amount of sweetness to the base! Friend got Entry Garlic chicken with rice. Oh my! Very strong garlic flavor to it! Absolutely tasty! Chicken SATE was great too! There’s not many Thai food choices in Forest Hills, but this is definitely a good one! Will try their pad Thai next time.
My husband and I had lunch here today. The food was decent, but the server was very RUDE.
It has been mentioned in other reviews as well, but the servers at this restaurant relentlessly insist on a tip. Even though tipping is not mandatory, they treat it as if we are obligated to leave money, demanding it from us.
When we tried to pay the bill, she insisted we tip at least 18% when we left 10%. Since I believe tipping is something I do when I'm pleased with the service, I asked her if 18% was mandatory at this restaurant. She made a face in front of me while saying no, but still insisted that we tip more than 18%.
Her behavior was unacceptable—asking for a tip while showing such a poor attitude is absurd!
It's a shame because the food tasted good (although the plating was kind of sloppy), and I was considering returning to the restaurant, but the server's behavior has made me reconsider.
Came during lunch special, decent portion size for $12. Beautiful atmosphere and the waiters were very nice.
Overall, Bangkok Cuisine offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive dine-in meal in the heart of Forest Hills.
In short, not authentic Thai food. I was served a sweet mango salad (when I asked if it was the crunchy mango salad)
And the basil chicken (pad kra pao) is wasn’t there at all. I asked both to be 4/5 spice, and it was just all sweet. It was pretty much Chinese styled sweet stir fry. Very disappointing, I don’t like to waste food so I had to endure eating this.
I hope this can be fixed for more authentic experience as for someone who visits Thailand often.
Never order Lychee Iced Tea from here. It is disgusting and the host that is a man is excruciatingly rude. I called to let him know that the drinks were horrible and he said it’s Lychee Iced Tea. I then stated that I would like to change them out or have them sent back for a refund. He said no just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean we can do something about it. Never order their Lychee Iced Tea it has a complete bitter taste and disgusting aftertaste and no sweetness you have to put sugar or honey yourself. He then proceeds to say that that tea is a best seller and tastes good as is he doesn’t know that everyone has different taste buds. The food is good though.
I will go

Excellent food no problem everything very clean and bathrooms were clean
Nice place, excellent staff members. Food however is okay, not the best compared to other Thai restaurants.
Best food ever loveeeee it my waitress "Ao" awesome person/waitress ask for her the food again delicious mmmmm try it you'll be happy and appreciative
Food was pretty good but for takeout options it should automatically come with utensils and napkins. The restaurant looks great inside for the few minutes we were there to order and takeout. The music was a bit loud for the time.
Bangkok Cuisine in Forest Hills offers a delightful Thai dining experience with its authentic dishes and welcoming ambiance. The menu features a variety of flavorful options, from the spicy and aromatic green curry to the classic and perfectly executed Pad Thai.
The service is warm and attentive, making you feel right at home. Whether you're a fan of Thai food or trying it for the first time, Bangkok Cuisine is a fantastic choice for a satisfying meal in Forest Hills.
Great setting great people great atmosphere very reasonable Priced for extremely CLEAN ✅, great tasting food quality I'm satisfied
Amazing food, best curry puffs I’ve had. Drink was watery and table was not clean. Price was good for food and waitress was very nice
This aint it.
I saw a kitchen worker go into the bathroom with a glove on, then came out with the same glove on and went back to the kitchen and started working again. I informed the waitress and she went to talk to him and came back and said he changed the glove.
Any employee doing that tells me this is not a sanitary focused establishment. His hands should have been washed in the bathroom before returning to kitchen.
The bathrooms also have flies which is another flag.
I stopped eating after that interaction, got the check and left. Stomach was bubbling when i left. I will not be back.
Sanitation needs to be top of mind and not brushed off 'he changed the glove'. How often does this happen. He did it in front of customers so i can only imagine what else go on. Too many good thai spots in queens to take a chance. Never going back.
Fabulous

Service was great
Food was great
Drinks were great
Must go back
Lamb shanks were very well done. Staff was friendly and helpful, despite our confusing request to split the bill. Great food at a reasonable price. And cozy atmosphere too.
Came during lunch special, decent portion size for $12. Beautiful atmosphere and the waiters were very nice.

Great location.
The food was excellent.
The spring rolls were amazing. The mango salad was great.
My main dish, drunken noodles had great flavor with shrimp.
I throughly enjoyed my meal and atmosphere.
The service was excellent. Quickly seated upon entry.
The food came out fast, which can appear as a good thing but the scallop I had was very rubbery. Other than that other items I had came out fine.
YIKES…Apparently a simple TAKE OUT ORDER, was a tough task. Their container was not completely closed and hot food spilled onto my lady friend’s skin and clothing, once she opened it- (I went elsewhere to pick up my own order when this happened) she said she was okay… Then I had to return and ask for utensils. The rude female at the register advised I had to “ASSK” for them- apparently this was necessary, as they act like curry is finger food. My friend told me she’s had better versions of her dish elsewhere, so I suggested that we had better get it elsewhere next time, where the service is authentically polite and the food authentically Thai.. something’s off..
Very tasty, we throughly enjoyed the spicy duck basil, and Pad Thai. Can’t wait to enjoy this again soon!
Not a big Thai food lover, but love the simple foods this place has. In particular, the BBQ pork is great, and the portion is just right. The bar I'm especially fond of. Phuket Island iced tea goes down easy. And the mango mojito is also great. Staff is always friendly and courteous.
Update: I've added masaman curry as a recommendation. So good.
Great customer services and the food is amazing!

Liked the curry dip with the roti. However, the pad Thai, curry puff, n the ginger honey martini were overly sweeter than typical Thai places.
Our family has been coming to Bangkok Cuisine for many years already! My son used to come here with his then girlfriend - now they have 2 kids … their toddler loves the food here as well!!! It’s a family restaurant !!!! And food is delicious!!! Been to so many Thai Food restaurants but Bangkok cuisine in Forest Hills is one of the best if not the BEST! Great food … good portions … affordable prices … and great lunch specials!!! We love Ms Oh!!!!
I tried to order food ,asked if they deliver the answer was Yes, person asked me all kind of questions, I had to repeat my self 4 time the same information and we are just around the block, at the end after I spent almost 10min (he was absolutely unhelpful or even try to help) he told me to use grubhub, uber or doordash. Very sad lately we have to beg to get good service for our money and they are charging service fees? What service?
Loved the food, service, ambiance. The green tea icecream was great and so was the veg stirfry. Can’t wait to return and try more.
Came here for lunch with my brother and the food and service was excellent.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Forest Hills. Great staff, great food, great ambiance. It’s a pleasure to come here every time.
Truly one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been too. The Roasted Cashew and the Panang are absolutely phenomenal.
DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE HARASSED!
While the food was okay, the service was absolutely horrid. The waitress pestered us for a tip, when the receipt clearly said gratuity SUGGESTED. Despite that, we still tipped and she had the audacity to tell us to tip more because of her service and that she only relies on tips. I was going to give her extra tip but she proceeded to show attitude and shove a pen at my face to change my tip. She said, "Change your tip and then you can leave" Excuse me???? That type of behavior is INTOLERABLE from a waitress.
You signed up for this job regardless of tips. So, She's lucky I'm even tipping, considering tipping is merely SUGGESTED. When I told her I wouldn't be tipping more because of her behavior, she told me not to come here next time because I'm not Willing to tip for service. I told her she doesn't have to worry about it.
I'm reading these reviews and noticing that many people are saying the same thing and it seems to be the same lady. She either needs to get fired or reprimanded because this behavior is unacceptable.
I'm genuinely afraid that she might overcharge me without consent.
Poor service
We enjoyed the curry puffs and calamari for appetizers and the curry puffs are a hit 10/10! The shrimp pad Thai and red curry shrimp were also cooked to perfection.
Pretty yummy thai food! I ordered the rama king with tofu and the emerald dumplings. The emerald dumplings are light and hearty. You can really taste the mushrooms in the dumplings and the dumplings are shaped like money bags. The rama king was also very hearty and filling. There's an assortment of veggies like broccoli, carrots, and zucchini drizzled in their yummy thai peanut sauce. The tofu didn't taste as firm but rather soft compared to the other rama tofu dishes I had from other Thai restaurants.
Best thai place in forest hills. good drinks, good apps, good food, good service. I find that the older asian establishments like this one much better than the new ones popping up in the last few years
The person who answers the phone and takes take out orders has the worst attitude and rushes when you make an order. Then when she takes cc payment, mistypes the numbers and the payment doesn’t go through and calls back asking for cc number again. When I did make the order with her over the phone, I confronted her about rushing me and she yelled back at me saying the restaurant was busy and she has to rush since it’s busy. I tried explaining I’m a paying costumer and she rudely dismissed me and said, next time use grub hub to order so I don’t have to deal with her and her attitude. What horrible costumer service. Will never order from them again. Doesn’t matter how tasty the food is.
Used to visit this place many years ago regularly. This time, the food was not like how it used to be.
We went there on one Monday Evening and the service was so slow. Waiters were just refilling our water glass and it took so long for Monday evening with few people in the restaurant. And the worst thing was when waiter tried to grab plates even before we finished food. They were in so rush grabbing our empty plates , maybe they were trying to signal us to leave by forcefully (literally I had to tell them to stop taking plates with food ) grabbing our plates. And of course they include automatic gratuity of 18% in bill.
Food was also so so, everything was sweet. Never going there again
The portion size is just right and the food is so yummy! I love eating Thai food when there is a chance. :-) Kudos to the team - very nice peeps.
I ordered the papaya salad takeout.. couldn't believe I wasted $13 on that. It was terrible, it looked soggy and old...I had to throw it away and didn't put any utensils
One of my favorite local restaurants. It is always a terrific time. Great food and lovely service.
Decent food, good service. Nothing amazing or extraordinary but good enough for me to go back. I like it more than a few other Thai places in the neighborhood.
One problem, a waiter coerced me for tips. I paid with my debit card but garnished it for 13 for tips. I’ll let that slide but I’ll never go back there again.
This place is STELLAR
Can tell them papaya salad without fish sauce then it’s an amazing raw vegan options, their papaya salad add extra beets I love the beets flavor :)
Papaya salad without fish sauce then it’s a great raw #vegan options :)
I like the beets flavor to it, the traditional Thai papaya salad usually don’t have beets, and I love the tamarind sauce 😍😍😍 the traditional way is using sugar, this one has no sugar and with tamarind sauce instead, it tastes amazing 😻
Excellent! Stop by and ordered food to go. Generous portion for a good price and the flavor was excellent!
Atmosphere was nice, service was good as always. However, for some reason we did not enjoy the appetizers. I ordered the spring rolls and the chicken satay. The rolls were way too hot even after giving it a few minutes to cool down and the chicken satay was chewy in a sense. The drunken noodles was good, a tad spicy for me though. My fiancé ordered the lychee martini and I had the watermelon basil martini which were both delicious. Overall a good experience.
I ordered a chicken drunken noodle for dinner and it was mediocre. The reason I gave them 1 star was because something was wrong with the chicken they used. I love thai food and have had several Thai dishes every month. The chicken really didn't taste like chicken or it was undercooked. I felt sick to my stomach trying to eat it. Since I was on my way home , I couldn't turn back around and go back to the restaurant to complain. It sucks that I spent almost 20 dollars and did not enjoy the chicken drunken noodle dish at all. It also wasn't spicy. I think they put paprika in it to hide the taste of the chicken. It was very weird. I won't be going back.
Amazing,my team loved it
This place can't take any kind of corticism.. Their customer service is not good... I tried to order and they told me they had no delivery people available 2 different times ???
after I complained about A previous order ...not being what I wanted. Thankfully there are plenty other Thai restaurants that are better in close proximity.. Like U Thai..I suggest going there
Nice place Great food and they were welcoming to my service dog.
I was a long time customer of this restaurant. I probably went there twice a week every week for the last 15 years, sticking with them despite menu changes that increased the price and decreasing quality of the food--and even after them serving us raw pork! Most people that I have brought there have complained that the food was too salty, but I stuck with it as the local neighborhood Thai food spot.
I will not go again because of an extremely negative experience with the manager. My wife and I were literally thrown out of this restaurant at lunch time for drinking bubble tea. Yes, we were thrown out of an Asian restaurant for bubble tea.
It was lunch time, and the restaurant was empty--literally, we were the only ones there. But the manager said it didn't look good for us to have bubble tea and demanded we leave, then said some very rude things on our way out. I hope his empty restaurant looked better.
Lunch special crispy Thai duck and three spice tilapia were exactly what my wife and I were looking for!
Food was phenomenal but the over all experience was rushed and pushy. The service demanded that we give a higher tip, forced a bill against my partner and I, refused to give us the lunch special when outside it said we were in the reasonable boundary of time and rushed us to leave.
We’ve come here multiple times and it’s a shame that we’ve had to be turned away. We won’t be returning.
Food was ok. I came in for lunch and had a good dish. The thai iced tea is too sweet here and I just could not drink it. When I complained, instead of making it better they said this is how thai iced teas are. I have been to Thailand 3 times and I have thai food almost every other week. Dont buy the iced tea. It will give you diabetes.
Food was great and the service was awesome.
The food is horrifyingly sweet. I had the curry and it tasted like a desert due to the amount of sugar they added. Also the pork skewers are not even Thai, they’re American BBQ, also very sweet!! I had high hopes of eating at an authentic Thai restaurant, but this just isn’t it. Maybe there are other dishes don’t have as much sugar? I’m not sure if I want to go back to find out.
My favorite Thai food place in forest hill. Their Thai ice tea is so good.
Fantastic every single time, great service too, the best
The servers were friendly & efficient. However, the food was not fresh, the dishes were had an after a bad after taste. My lunch partner & I ended up getting sick afterwards. It was not a good experience. Another issue was that as a customer you are rushed out of the restaurant. "It felt eat & hurry pay & leave". The resturant has potential but quality & proper dining etiquette is needed.
Not worth it
Rude and racist employees! No respect
The drinks here are mega good. I love their food but it's definitely NOT authentic Thai. While the staff are Thai, they just don't season like real Thai food. I still come here because I like the food but if you want Authentic, this isn't the place. Friendly staff though!
Staff are lovely but food is very average.
Generic Thai food that errs on the sweet side, vs. salty/savory. There’s so much amazing Asian food in Queens, I’d recommend skipping Bangkok Cuisine unless you want the comforts of Thai standards prepared fairly blandly.
Excellent food , and a pleasant atmosphere, very good service. Spicy dishes are marked on the menu.
First time at the resteraunt, pad Thai was just ok smelled like eggy. The server took money out of our hands just saying oh this is my tip thank you and never returned change or anything. When she collected the bill she asked how much are you tipping me ? Wierd . Worst fried ice cream ever . It was probably expired . Very very bad texture
Great ginger mojito
Fantastic service and delicious food. We are definitely coming back to try even more food.
So nice to have a really solid Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. Never been disappointed by them.
I would give a zero. Ordered food through seamless, but they delivered to the wrong address and refused to issue a credit and were adamant about refusing to issue a credit. They were nasty and after I didn't want food delivered from a house known to be unvaccinated they got nastier, and then asked to speak to my wife.
I don't know if seamless or the restaurant screwed up, but why would a loyal customer not answer the door if they ordered food? Seamless needs to get their act together and figure out who made the mistake and the restaurant needs to believe their customers. I was once loyal to this restaurant, but I will never buy from them again. Why would I lie if I had been ordering from them for years.
Went there today food was ok
Wonderful Thai food, definitely the best in the neighborhood. It’s been around for a long time and the quality and service is 5 star. Recommend this place for the lunch specials. My favorite are the curry puffs, pad Thai, pad sew ew, and green (spicy) curry.
Bangkok Cuisine !!!!!! the BOMB. Their food is top tier. It’s so delicious, nutritious and spicy (depending of what you order).I had the green curry 😋 and my husband had lamb and crab fried rice. we also ordered there calamari. Everything was soo FRESH and tasty. This will definitely be a staple date night spot. and the staff are very sweet.
This is our new go to on Austin St. We've been here two days in a row; first dinner and then lunch. Staff is friendly (Mina is amazing!!!!) And the food is DELICIOUS...those puffs are what dreams are made of lol
All of the 5 star reviews are well deserved! The food was delicious! I ordered pineapple fried rice, spicy Thai eggplant, and a Thai tea, as recommended by other reviewers. Did not disappoint! The spicy eggplant dish was very slightly spicy. Not burn yo’ face off, for sure, but not sure how consistent their spice levels are… I ordered 2 full dishes to enjoy leftovers tomorrow, but the second half of the pineapple fried rice will definitely not last that long! It’s the comfort food I’ve been craving! One last thing, I walked in and ordered take out. The lady who took my order was so sweet and funny! Then she told me it was going to take 20 mins. Yikes! But, the place was packed, and that’s a reasonable timeframe to cook fresh food, so I was prepared. EIGHT MINUTES! It was ready in 8 minutes! Highly recommend! And the Thai tea was excellent!
So I ordered from here once or twice before with no issue and usually it’s fine but today I waited an hour and I got no food delivery so I called and asked and he told me to check the door and they left my food outside and didn’t even notify me so I told the guy on the phone it’s here but no me even called it’s just been sitting there and he simply tells me to enjoy my food no apology no resolution nothing so I say you guys should call if you leave food outside the door and before I finish he already hangs up! I’m highly disappointed in the service I received. Definitely will not be ordering here if that’s how you treat customers.
Best thai food restaurant in Queens!
Delicious and considerate about dietary choices (very veg friendly). Will be coming back.
The staff is generally nice. My problem is that the food is just not that great. There are so many great Thai restaurants in Queens and unfortunately this place just doesn't stack up.
I am currently eating their pepper steak with four spring rolls and a Thai iced tea. This meal is AMAZING. I’ve tried other Thai restaurants and nothing beats their delicious spring rolls and pepper steak. Don’t get me started on their Thai Iced Tea, it’s the best thing to finish off your meal. I really recommend going there or just ordering!
Very good food & ambience but what's best is that they will accommodate your dietary specifications (I eat halal so was able to sub in some great tofu).
Excellent Thai food. Truly large appetizer sampler, but I wouldn't order it for three people I would order it for two! I liked Thai spiced eggplants. File in very quickly
Food is always great here. Have been many times over many years and the quality has never dropped. Kudos.
OMG - this spot is on point for a five - but have to return to see consistency... beware call first- they close at 4 for family dinner ( hardly ever seen anymore)
The wait was light - they did put table togethers to accommodate us... every dish was 👌👌 - all of us will return. Parking on meter not many.
Good food and service
BEST thai cuisine in Queens so far!!
My go to spot when I get home late from work. The Kao Obb Bkk is my favorite. Good portion, super tasty, good variety in one dish. Have had other items from here and liked it all but this is my typical order and love it every time.
I love Thai food, and this place is awesome! Their lunch specials are pretty decent price and portions .
Service is great! Very clean place too.
Excellent
My favorite local spot. Best pad Thai in forest hills in my opinion. Love love love the emerald dumplings and their tea selection. Really kind staff
Pad Thai was incredible, I didn't think I'd have one this good after Sawadee in Jersey City closed.
Tiene muy buen menú y es realmente delicioso
The guy answering the phone today on July 4 is a idiot will never come here again
We usually order for delivery. They are extremely quick. The way they package your food is with extreme care. They create small holes in containers to avoid fried appetizers from getting soggy in transit. Quality food as well. Never had anything spoiled. They also can keep your card on file to make ordering as quick as 1 minute
This restaurant charged tips 2nd time if you don't pay attention.
It was my first time.
The food is Great!!
Wonderful Thai food...I have come here fairly often for many years and the place is dependable for a good experience either as dine-in or take-out!
The food was okay, it wasn't real authentic Thai food in my opinion. The wings were okay but there Tom yum soup was delicious
Delicious
Food is an affordable price and good portions, tastes so good and have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options if you’re looking for that.
My favorite Thai spot
Excellent service, food and prices. My favorite thai place.
It's really tasty! I liked it a lot. Unfortunately Thai food in NYC is so plentiful (and Thai food everywhere is so delicious) that there's nothing outstanding here that would merit it the extra star, but everything is still well done and I'd definitely check it out when you are in the neighborhood.
delicious, generous portions, great lunch specials, lovely servers. Nice outside area.
