Fine Thai Cuisine
Hidden Gem After a Ramapo Hike!
After a hike at Ramapo Reservation, we stumbled upon Wyckoff Thai, and it was the perfect spot to refuel. Though the place is small, it’s incredibly clean, and they have an impressive variety of vegetarian options, which was a big plus for us.
I ordered the Thai iced coffee, pad thai with tofu, spicy eggplant, and spring rolls, and everything was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful, and hearty—just what we needed after a day outdoors. The service was also outstanding; the servers were so friendly, helpful, and really took good care of us.
I highly recommend Wyckoff Thai to anyone in the area, whether you’re a local or just passing through. It’s a fantastic spot with great food and a welcoming atmosphere!
Wonderful atmosphere. We enjoyed the wings and of course the Thai Iced Tea. What we cannot forgive is the disappointing of a poorly done Thai Fried Rice. Bland is an understatement. How did we missed the basil and veggies? Try the appetizers here but we will, moving forward recommend skipping the entrees because of blandness.
This Thai restaurant offers a delightful, vibrant atmosphere with a cozy yet intimate setting. The waitstaff was exceptional, providing attentive service with welcoming smiles. The cuisine was outstanding, boasting flavors that tantalize the taste buds. In particular, the drunken noodles stood out as the highlight. Despite limited parking availability, I highly recommend this establishment for a memorable dining experience.
I love Wyckoff Thai!! I have been here many times and every single time the food is incredible and the servers are very attentive. Everything here is delicious and reasonably priced, but I personally recommend their curries!
It’s BYOB, and they will bring you glasses if you need. The parking and space inside is very limited, so keep that in mind if you’re going at a peak time.
We went here for my twins birthday early dinner. Unfortunately, the food was not tasty. My son’s steak was rubbery. My daughter took one bite and couldn’t eat the rest of her pad Thai and even the mango salad just didn’t have what I expected. Thai is my favorite cuisine.
The atmosphere as charming and the servers were delightful.
my favorite Thai spot. It’s also BYOB. Everything I’ve tried on this menu has been phenomenal and delicious. Friendly atmosphere. Small spot but I love that about it too. Very cozy.
I've never had a chance to eat inside the restaurant, take out only. Just note for anyone it is rather on the cramped side and is extremely loud due to the setup of the building. Parking on site is limited, but you can usually park in the parking lot across the street.
Personally, takeout is the better option due to how crowded the place is usually at dinner time. I do not know if they offer reservations, but I would strongly suggest asking before going.
I've been ordering from them for many years and I have never seen the place with an open table during the normal dinner hours.
That said, I find the food to be extremely good and well worth the wait If you do choose to eat in.
It's a small restaurant without much decoration and flair. But what it lacks in decoration, it makes up in with good food. I ordered the thai iced tea which was nice and sweet. We ordered the Tom kha ga soup. It had a very lemongrass taste with a nice spice kick. The pad thai was made well and very traditional. It was a decent portion size too. The prices were fair. The red curry was good and on point too. It's a nice no frill Thai restaurant and I was shocked at how many take out orders that were coming through all night! The service was also kind and friendly.

I’ve given this place so many chances and end up disappointed every time. It’s so obvious that there’s not much care put into the food. Instead of grinding or infusing the spices, they are added whole, making for a ‘toothsome’ experience (sensory nightmare). Imagine ordering pad see ew (and opting for it to be spicy), taking a bite of a cluster of flat rice noodles, and expecting that silky smooth delicious mouthfeel but instead you’re left with whole spices (and seemingly some kind of tiny seeds?) stuck in your mouth and in the back of your throat (I still squirm when I think about this experience). The broccoli was also barely cooked. Do NOT waste your time or money here.
Had the muscles and they were absolutely outstanding.

Love the service and spicy food. All staff very nice also
The food is actually delicious and Tom yum soup was so good. Our waitress was just very rude and we felt bad asking for anything because she seemed annoyed with us? as somebody who works in a restaurant, I was really caught offguard.
Food and service were excellent! Highly recommend!
Good food. Good service
We ordered takeout on Friday night, and the food was both delicious and exceptional for the price. The restaurant itself is small and was quite packed, so if you’re planning to dine in, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance.
Delicious. Highly recommend.

Delicious BYOB place.
delicious thai food! i always get the massaman curry with tofu as my main, the tofu is sooo delicious in this dish! usually thai places dont do tofu well but here it is perfect. i love their calamari and crab rangoon for appetizers, with the crab rangoon being the best ive had. thai iced tea is also solid here. inside the restaurant is a bit tight but it has nice vibes :) overall would recommend
The food here is great place is small but we'll worth it.
Food is tasty. Place is clean and cozy. Waiters are friendly and welcoming. Price of Lunch special is reasonable. Love it!
Cozy restaurant with great food and service. BYO
I was excited to try this restaurant as it was recommended by a friend. We tried the red curry with tofu, pad thai with tofu, and Thai iced tea. Our usual staples for Thai food.
Red curry was very flavorful and with plenty and veggies and tofu. However there was not enough curry. When mixed with the rice it left it very dry.
The first bite of the pad Thai was yummy but then very lack luster. If you’re a vegetarian stay away as there is a strong fish oil taste. The stir fry was probably put on the gas for a little too long as there was a burnt taste as well.
Parking lot is very small and it was difficult even for pick up. Have to just park in the street. Don’t park across the street (salon lot) you’ll probably get towed.
We were hoping this would be our go to Thai place, unfortunately we’ll have to keep looking.
Consistently good food. Been going there for a long time.
The best Thai food in the world, including Thailand.
Wonderful atmosphere. We enjoyed the wings and of course the Thai Iced Tea. What we cannot forgive is the disappointing of a poorly done Thai Fried Rice. Bland is an understatement. First time here, food is so good with the excellent service
My favorite restaurant in the general area
Wonderful food and service! Absolutely delicious
I am not a fan of sweets being added to sauces or gravy. However, I enjoyed dining here because it is clean, the staff is professional, and the ambiance is welcoming.

This place does not disappoint, highly recommend.
Pad Thai needs to be less saucy, which is a Thai resto's popular dish, almost like a soup after you mix it. Hard to taste the actual ingredients. Just an honest suggestion, hope it is appreciated. All other entrees were spot on.
It used to be awesome foods here, but not anymore. The mussels dish they change it to big mussels which got smaller quantities and not as delicious as before.
5 stars for the service 👍👍👍👍👍
One of the best Thai food. So flavorful and delicious.
10/10 best Thai place! Food is amazing as well as the service! Everyone is so happy and kind! Most amazing experience and I can’t recommend this place enough!! The Thai iced tea is the best I ever had!
literally the sweetest workers and the food is amazing. never a noodle left in my plate. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal!

It was so good and I could not stop eating. The service was amazing and I got my food 5 mins after I ordered. Totally recommend this place to everyone
Cozy atmosphere with delicious food!
amazing food!
Amazing food one of the best I've tried.
We ordered 2 entrees and my pad knew mao had a very bad smell. The food was greasy and smelly. I will not go there again. Don’t bother.
Love this place. Best Thai i had.
Nice , simple restaurant . You really pay for the great food !!
The food is fantastic and authentic. I like the Pad Thai. The mangos and sticky rice are a delicious desert and I dislike mangos. The space is very European, popular and packed. Parking is nonexistant, the lot is the size of a Tough Shed and the business across the street promises to tow, so prepare yourself to slog into the neighborhood to parallel park on a street. It is worth it.
The food is great, any fan of Thai food will be more than happy w/ any of Wyckoff Thai’s dishes.
Just as important tho is the service, which is just as good as their food, if not ever better! Our server Noah & the kitchen staff really went above & beyond. All of them had a great attitude & Noah even helped me fix an order I alone messed up on. Sadly experiences like mine don’t happen as much as they should anymore so it’s even more refreshing to see a business & its employees still taking customer service seriously.
Great food & great service, what more can you ask for?
Reliable tasty Thai, especially the whole fried fish with tamarind, the chive pancakes, the rolls... Frankly it's all quiet good (oh, love the won ton soup). Go, you will be happy if a little cramped and loud.
Great place!
Cozy restaurant for small families or couples.
Not what I really expected of Thai food. My pad knee mao noodles pasta had a smell so I ended up eating my husband dish. Will not go again here as I had bad experience with the food.
Just need to be aware and cautious about peoples allergies when mentioned

So out of many places I’ve eaten pineapple fried rice I enjoy wyckoff Thai version the best beef is cook great add the hot sauce ( chili) and ur set for enjoyment my wifey loves the pad Thai.. definitely recommend for a date night prices are good portions great ..
Amazing food. Service was good. Wasn't rushed. Make a reservation since restaurant is very small.
Great spot for a quick lunch. Super fast service. Food was great.
Very tiny restaurant but yummy food!
We can't eat here enough! Their food is amazing. The nearest Thai place that I know of that can compete is in Piscataway. The place is always packed. The staff is friendly and cordial.
Really the best neighborhood Thai in easy driving distance of Suffern. Unsurpassed quality of food. Everything we ate featured the complex flavors of good Thai food. We chose to come on the first day of Daylight savings time and the kitchen was overwhelmed by takeout orders. So my dining companion was served her mains ten minutes before I received mine, hence I dropped a star. But for quality and value this place is my first choice in the Wyckiff/Ramsey area. BYOB
Very cozy atmosphere. Service is always great. And food is extremely delicious & fresh. Always love coming here!
Quaint little place with friendly staff and delicious food. The Pad Thai was sweet and savory, one of the better dishes. The Massaman Curry was also sweet, and delicious. The Crab Fried Rice was ok as well as the calamari appetizer. The Crab Mango Salad and the Green Mango Salad (with shrimp) were similar in taste; just the right bit of sour from the dressing and sweet from the Mango. The Basil chicken had a lot of flavor and good, but I would maybe try something else next time. Overall, great food!
Tiny place I saw something stuck on the inside of my water glass after already drinking most of it. Nasty.
Food is non flavored.
GAO in Mahwah is 1000%
Better.
Soo yummy. It’s fresh and delicious. Never disappoints!
Adorable and delicious. Best Thai I have had outside of NYC.
Amazing place so close to home. We love eating here! The staff is always very friendly and the food is always fresh and tasty. Things you must try are the chive pancakes and the Wyckoff Thai Spicy Steak special - it’s phenomenally delicious. No joke. One of the tastiest meals I’ve ever had and it’s what I always order when we visit.
It’s a favorite of everyone I talk to and I can see why. I had the spicy beef pad Thai and loved the spice and flavor.
The food is always amazing. Service, however, has gone down for the last two visits. Hopefully a little training and time will fix it.
Very nice place favorite was the thai tea it was very delicious and love the color Everything was very nice
We recently had bridal shower booked at this place. When we arrived at the destination, it cane to our notice that there was no reservation placed under our name. Although we requested and managed to get the table. They have very limited vegetarian options and the services were too slow. The glasses of water was not properly washed and can clearly see water marks on the glass.
Overall it was not that pleasant experience.
Amazing food, highly recommend the Drunken Noodles!!
This is a gem of an eatery in wyckoff. The food is always so perfectly prepared and fresh.
Best thai place in NJ. Love their food and spices are always on point.
Pad Thai to take away. Terrible. All noodles. ZERO spice. I've got more heat in my freezer. This is not Pad Thai.
Great thai!
Good food and great, friendly service. The evening (Nov 27) was cold, and so was the restaurant; several people didn't take off their coats. So the meals cooled quickly, too. The duck was excellent, but the squid, while very tasty, was fairly rubbery.
I had a reservation for tonight and waited 15min meanwhile I watched them take 2 walk ins before we ever got seated. This was my final straw at this place. I’ve had numerous bad experiences here, finding plastic in my food and them telling me my meal would be a different price than what was promised. Never again, this place sucks and the service is terrible. *UPDATE* I did make you aware of the reservation and you told us to wait, then sat down 2 walk ins before us.
Excellent Tom Yum soup and crispy duck with spicy tamarind sauce. Nice to sit outside on a sunny day.
Food was awesome when we dined in, takeout was so so
So, slow. Unprofessional staff. High prices.
Greatest
Never disappoints!
Wyckoff Thai has some delicious food. I love their shrimp dumpling soup. My husband loves the pad Thai and I get the pad see ew. We also really like their calamari appetizer. It is a byob. It Is small inside.
Great food, service, and nice Thai atmosphere!
My favorite Thai place!
Good food but space too small and parking is an issue
Best Thai food in the area for sure
A really cozy spot with indoor and outdoor dining. Made me feel like I was sitting at home. They have a little under ten parking spots outside if I recall. I feel like I was lucky with parking before it got packed, so I recommend planning parking beforehand.
Welcoming and attentive staff. They kept my water topped up and came by a couple times to check on my table to see if everything was okay. Unnecessary plates were removed from the table regularly and our table was kept clean.
I ordered the spicy duck curry. The only reason I took a point off was the duck. Don't get me wrong; the duck was well seasoned and still good, but it was on the border of being dry. The curry as a whole mixed flavors very well: spicy, sweet, savory, sour. The texture differences were great too: crispy duck, crisp vegetables, and soft pineapple.
The squid and shrimp salad is a must have. The squid is wonderfully cut and prepared. The sauce/dressing was amazing. I expected it to be too spicy for me but it was just right. And apples in the salad also threw me off. It was refreshing 10/10 salad.
The portions are surprisingly large and everything was fairly priced. 4.5/5
i love coming here when i'm home to meet people for lunch.
We visited on a weekend. The restaurant was full, so they arranged tables outside. It started to drizzle and umbrellas were pulled out to manage until we completed out meals. Food was okay. Mango sticky rice was not upto the mark. Madness fried rice with chicken was okayish. Crispy caismari meat was rubbery.
Excellent spot in the center of town across from Boulder run. If you have not tried this yet please try - spicy cashew nut with chicken. You can also sub beef or tofu but the chicken is off the chain good! Some of the best chicken I have ever had. I frequent 1x per week.
dont wanna say bad words but, excessive wait time for delivery orders. Empathy, please!
Great lunch spot. Food is always delicious 🍴🍛
This is our gathering place! Food here is always fresh, tasty and authentic. A small place not much atmosphere a great to get together with friends and enjoy a wonderful meal.
Very small so the other patrons are breathing on you and listening to your conversations. But, the food, the service and the overall value is amazing.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years and have had nothing but exceptional service. I have since moved away and was looking forward to coming here again once I’m in town. We made a special trip to come here and it was the worse decision ever. The waitress was rude. I came with my son and purposely ordered his food early. The waitress completely forgot to put in his order. After multiple inquiries they still had no idea about his order. There was no apology and the rudeness continued. Even though the food is great, I will never come back to this place again.
Great quality and value. Food was top notch. Parking is easy.
작지만 로칼의 맛집
점심때는 손님이 많다.
주차장도 깔끔하고 음식맛도 깔끔한 식당 넓지 않지만 잘 갖춰진 단독건물에 나름 로칼맛집
Consistently great food. Our absolute go to.
Consistently good. Best Thai in the area
Authentic tasty Thai cuisine with attentive wait staff
Favorite Favorites Thai in Jersey. Been visiting this restaurant for so many years and it’s never a disappointing experience. So many vegetarian/vegan options. The madness fried rice and thai red curry are my personal favorites.
Luckily we are retired... we can go there during the week... And then if we're lucky we don't have to wait for a table...but we would.
Horrorible experience. We made a Reservation on Google and they refused to honor it. Instead, they were going by a hand written list taped to the wall and said we should’ve called instead of using the online platform. Excuse me, but why would you have a reservation platform if you were not going to honor it? The owner was extremely rude and dismissive. They claimed they would not be able to seat us for hours. Meanwhile, I absolutely insisted, and would not leave until they gave us a table. As we sat and ate our dinner, there were two empty tables the entire time we were there. Unbelievably poor hospitality.
They did not honor a reservation made with google assistant that was confirmed. The manager was quite rude stating “ there is nothing I can do “
Lovely Thai restaurant, super busy at dinner time, but they were kind to accommodate me as a party of one on a walk-in basis. The food is super delicious, I can see why it's busy!
Excellent drunken noodles. I ordered mine with the duck and the normal spice level and was very happy. The noodles are cooked just right and the sauce is spicy but not overwhelming. I’m especially happy the duck which was boneless and super crispy. If you are in the area give this place a shot.
10/10 every single time, no matter whether I go pick it up or have it delivered. I get the pineapple fried rice with chicken and a Thai iced tea. The best I've had in the area. Super tasty, clean restaurant and friendly staff! Parking is tight at times, but worth it. Cannot recommend enough!!
Always order take out from here. Delicious Thai and their specials are always excellent. They do a great job with spice levels and make really good food
Some of best Thai I've ever had.
This place has the worst Pad Thai I have ever had in my life. Tastes like a watery sad pile of noodles. Crab Rangoons appetizer and Drunken Noodles were OK.
Good food and reasonable portions
Food is good but service has been so bad on all the occasions I’ve eaten or ordered from there
Today’s lunch takes us to Wyckoff at this establishment voted for best Thai 🇹🇭 cuisine in best of Bergen 2 consecutive years (2021/2022). Wyckoff Thai is a small place off of a busy Franklin Avenue. Their parking lot is small and could be problematic depending the time of day. Luckily I made it before the noon rush as the restaurant began to fill up quickly and got a table right away. The menu is fairly limited but shows care in the choice of offerings with number of vegetarian or meat options. For starter, I wanted to try their Summer Roll (vermicelli noodle, tofu and vegetable wrapped in softened rice paper with peanut sauce). For the main entree, I’ve decided on their lunch special served with soup or salad. I opted for Pad See Ew (flat rice noodles stir-fried with egg, Chinese broccoli in sweet soy sauce) and Tom Yum Chicken soup (Thai style hot and sour soup spiced with lemongrass, lime leaves, lime juice, chili, mushrooms, scallions and cilantro). The spring rolls were fresh, delicious and tasty especially with the accompanying peanut sauce. The soup and entree were very authentically made with the best ingredients and served hot. Service was friendly, quick and efficient, portions were right and price reasonable. Don't let the size fool you. What this place lacks in space is more than made up for by good service and tasty food which I can recommend it.
Best Thai restaurant in NW Bergen County.
Very disappointed with our most recent visit. We asked about a special priced at $14 and the waitress said it was still available. Then she comes over to us and tells us that she made a mistake and will be giving us the bigger portion instead. It had seemed like she was doing us a favor considering she had admitted it was her mistake and she did not mention anything about a price increase for the change. Without communicating to us, she changed the dish to something that was $11 dollars more than what we originally ordered. We confronted her at the end and she did not have much to say and grabbed the manager. The manager was not helpful and had an “oh well” attitude. Not everyone can afford to be up charged $11 extra for a meal without first communicating that. We’ve been loyal to this restaurant all this time until now. Was very disappointed with the lack of accountability and communication. Again, if they had communicated that change properly and told us it would be more, then we would’ve gladly picked another dish instead. Disappointing.
So glad we found this amazing Thai place in the area!! The Pad Thai is fabulous!!!
Amazing quality, love the place
Ok, besides the food being delicious, this place has friendly staff and its super clean.
Food is great, they use the right amount of ingredients and they are always fresh. This i have to say its pretty close to grandma's cooking.
Good, filling food.
Best Asian cuisine around, hands down. Authentic, fresh ingredients. Very friendly staff. Their Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice is one of the best fried rices I've ever eaten, truly in a league of its own, no contest. The Spicy Duck Curry is also amazing, though I don't get it as often because it is pricier.
Great food and customer service.
Papaya Salad is the BEST. Every thing we ordered was not only fresh but authentic. Fairly priced
Great food, super tasty and friendly staff! A year+ later and the food is still as good!
Delicious and really nice staff.
To this day, this is my wife's and I favorite Thai place in NJ. Great flavors and filling.
