Best Thai food around
Really good food here. The imitation duck is delicious. Taste almost like the real thing. Food can get a bit spicy if you're not use to spicy food. Scale from 1 to 5 with 5 being the spiciest. Level 1 spice is still a bit spicy for me. I got the drunken noodles here and would definitely get it again.
I relocated about 2 years ago to Burlington county and was looking for a good Thai restaurant, found this and have been coming since. The previous staff were attentive and food was good. Made friends with them, like most things in life there will be changes so when this current staff began working I was hoping to have the same great service. I have to say this has been my worst dining experience, insult to injury the food was not as before, I used to dine here 2 or 3 times per week I will no longer patronize the restaurant.
Delicious food but a bit overpriced! My family and I came here for a Friday night dinner and had a great time. The presentation and decor at Bhan Thai were beautiful. The staff was also very attentive and kind, creating a welcoming environment! A very minor complaint I have is that, in the booth we sat at, the seating was a bit far from table so it was a bit difficult to eat and sit back (though everyone else in my group did not notice/care about this minor detail!) Also, the staff was very attentive and kind, creating a welcoming environment!
The food was delicious! We got the spring rolls and calamari as appetizers, and both were very good. I especially liked the spring rolls because they were so hot, fresh, and had a nice crisp bite to them. Our entrees were great too. I got the Thai Basil (Pad Kra Pao) and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy while the chicken was tender and tasty. Though, if I ordered this again, I would get this as Thai spicy because the level 3 spicy did not have enough of a kick for me. My Mom and Grandmother both got the grilled shrimp and vegetables, and although they said their dishes were very good, they were not worth $30 each. The shrimp, while plump and fresh, was barely grilled, and it did not seem like there was enough in this dish to be worth $30 (maybe $20 at most). At least it was still delicious and tasted higher quality than shrimp dishes and other restaurants. Lastly, the Thai tea was pretty good and had that strong taste that I'm used to in a Thai tea.
Overall, we would definitely come back, and I'm excited to try some of their other dishes.
Absolutely BRILLIANT with an amazing Service too. Been there twice already in a week.
To start with, don't miss the Thai Iced Tea! The vegetable spring rolls were awesome and fresh with the pastry crispy and served piping hot.
They make all curries without fish sauce / shrimp sauce for vegetarians. Green curry was one of the best I had. So was the Thai Basil fried rice.
Will definitely be back for more.
Ordered take out for the first time and everything was great. The order was correct and everything was fresh and hot. We had the shrimp pad Thai, the seafood Thai fried rice, and the spring rolls. The spring rolls were packed in plastic wrap which looked a little strange but really helpful to keep the flavor in, plus the sauce was really good. The fried rice and pad Thai were both really good too. Im eager to go back and eat in the restaurant because noodle dishes always taste better on person
I recently ordered takeout about a week ago from this restaurant and their food definitely did not disappoint! The chicken satay was amazing and so good as well as the pad thai which I ordered. I'll definitely be back again!
Great food!

Absolutely fresh and fantastic food! Thai tea is delicious! Friendly and courteous staff! Definitely recommended!
#rude #appallingbehavior
This is not about the food it's about the writer's rude behavior .I was checking out waiter with specticles insisted to add tip to which I said "next time " and she gets all judgemental telling me next time order for to go also more add she talks aloud to her colleague about my denial of paying the tip .tipping a waiter is a voluntary act I request the owner to put some sense to your staff on this if you want to save your business

Delicious every time I go!
They are racist. I went in there to order my food for lunch and I asked if I can stay inside to eat my food and they told me that I had to sit outside or pay a service fee. I was the only black person that was in the establishment at the time but everybody else who has white was able to sit inside and eat but for me, they told me I had to pay a service fee or sit outside have never in my life, heard of a service fee for eating inside of a restaurant that you already pay food for very racist and the food wasn’t even a girl a waste of money

Shrink-flation. When you order red curry for takeout and you don’t receive a full container, you see shrink-flation in real terms. The food is good, but when you pay a premium, you expect to get the appropriate food portions. Same experience with the golden triangles and calamari. Buyer beware.
Nothing special here. I've had better pad Thai from Chinese takeout spots. The pad kra pao was soupy and had maybe 5-6 pieces of beef for about $18-19. 6 wings for $15 isn't good either. Chicken wings tastes like pre battered chicken wings and the sauce was just garlic and soy sauce
A great lunch spot.
Amazing food and the workers are wonderful people.
OMG! This place is amazing. The chicken satay and curry puffs were delicious! And the service was even better. Jida was the nicest, most amazing waitress ever! 😀
Food’s great. Got a panang curry. I personally would prefer more lemongrass flavor but thats alright. The coffee was 10/10. Dining experience was excellent, waiter was jacked. Prices extremely reasonable as far as Thai restaurants go. Overall very good.
I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. Last week, I got my chance. Had lunch with a colleague, great choice. I forget the name of the dish. However, the Salmon was wrapped in rice paper (GF), fried with a delectable salad on top. SAUCE wa AMAZING. Service was also attentive and noteworthy. 👌🏾

I always get the spring rolls, Thai iced tea, Thai Basil (level 3 spice) and crème brulee every time I visit. It's always consistently flavorful and filling! They also have my number saved since I call so many times so ordering pick-up/take-out is very easy and efficient. 10/10 recommend!
Delicious. Everything we had. Spring Rolls, Crab Cake Patty, Shrimp Red Curry, Vegan Pad Thai, Thai Tea , Honey Bananas
Always had quick and warm service
Friendly staff and great food. I've had several dishes and specials and it is always enjoyable.
My family and I absolutely love this place! We are greeted with smiles and friendly staff whether picking up an order to go, or dining in. The quality of the food is excellent, especially for the price. Thank you for your kindness and great food!!!
The chicken had no flavor. The pad Thai which is usually my favorite was very definitely not it. I’m not Asian or Thai and I could have done a better job. The red curry is good and the spring rolls.
Oh Wow! So glad I stopped in to eat 😋
From the iced tea to the main dish, with everything in-between, it was excellent. Best food I have experienced in while. Cooked to perfection and presentation was like artistry on a dish. Next time I will post pics.
Delicious food and great service.
Excellent pad thai....I love it
Very fast service, reasonable prices, and fantastic Thai cuisine!
Quick eatery spot for some authentic thai cuisine.. the portions were nice size and spice lever was true.. coming back definitely
We ordered food to go from Bhan Tai, Mount Laurel. The restaurant was very clean, the staff very professional, greeted us the minute we walked in the door and our food was waiting for us. The price was on the higher end for Tai food. We received everything we ordered. The food presentation looked delicious. The taste was AMAZING. I've had Tai before and I love it. Bhan Tai's products taste fresh. So the saying goes, " you get what you pay for." It was well worth the price and some. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food, haven't been there in a while, but will definitely be going back soon
Very friendly and considerate of vegan customers.
Food was virtually flavorless, not Thai profiles. It just wasn’t good. I can’t explain it much. But the food isn’t good and I won’t return…
Horrible customer service. There was an issue with my order and whoever I spoke to on the phone was impolite when I was trying to explain the issue and didn’t do anything to help.
"There's nothing we can do, okay bye", is what I was told.
Edit: The passive-aggressive tone in the Owner's reply proves my exact point about the lack of polite customer service. No apology, just a condescending undertone.
2nd Edit: The incident in the owner's reply is unrelated to me. My order didn't consist of anything that was just named in their response. I have no idea what they're talking about. Nonetheless, whoever it is that's continuously responding to my review is even further validating my point about the lack of customer service skills. There's a better way to address customers. Please think twice about visiting this establishment if you value friendly customer service.
Good local Thai food spot. If you know and like spicy food, the “fire” spice level 5 is more like “just spicy enough” seems they cater to a larger local audience in terms of spice. Keep that in mind. Also, the chicken satay was dry and not the best. Otherwise we would order again the dishes we enjoyed just more spicier :)
Update: changing my rating as they continuously forget peanut sauce and sweet sauce that’s supposed to come with chicken satay. Can’t handle takeouts on a Wed evening
MEE KROB It’s the GS..Gold Standard..of Thai eateries..My wife and I pleasantly devoured it BUT hurry°!°
And it’s soooogoood Only available until March 6. :-(
MEE KROB the appetizer made of succulent sweet sour tender crispy noodles that is rarely on any Thai menu, NYC, Phillly, DC etc
Also, my GS ,,, aromatic golden tofu basil packed pad kra pao, perfectly concocted sour sauce gently fried fish cakes, simmering sweet green eggplant curry and coconut brothy Tom kha chicken so good soup
The summer rolls were great. The Thai iced tea was exactly what I expected and wanted. Nice intimate ambiance. A good place for Thai food.
Tonight me and my family dined here for the first time. The food was so good, delicious, nice & hot! Everyone that works there were very pleasant and super kind. We will be back there for sure.
Pros:
1. Pleasant Ambience
2. Hospitable host( Ruby was very friendly and helpful in deciding what to order)
3. Reasonable prices
4. Tasty food.
The highlight of the night was: Chocolate Grannanier Soufflé. It was simply perfect.
This will be my go to place for my Thai cravings.
Fantastic food, good portion size, friendly prompt staff. Can't go wrong here.
Very nice food
So delicious!
Great place with plenty of parking. The overall food experience, the pennang cury is the best here.
Must dine in. This place has best service, foodand ambience🌺
One of the best places to eat Thai cuisine. They make everything in house, the food is served fresh and hot. They have very good vegetarian options on their menu.
Delicious food but a bit overpriced! My family and I came here for a Friday night dinner and had a great time. The presentation and decor at Bhan Thai were beautiful. I had dinner at Bhan Thai Mt. Laurel. The service and food were excellent. I had the ravioli soup and whole red snapper fish. Excellent and flavorful.
Came for the first time, the food and service was excellent.
Bhan Thai continues to impress with its cozy and comfortable atmosphere, although the recent relocation within the same mall area has led to a larger space that feels somewhat less intimate, but still pleasant. As a frequent visitor, albeit not an expert in Thai cuisine, I remain a big fan of their duck dishes, especially the crispy yet succulent duck, which is consistently well-prepared and never dry.
During my latest visit, I ventured to try the Pad Thai with imitation duck. The dish struck a perfect balance in its spice levels, satisfying my palate without being overwhelming. The quality and taste of the food have commendably remained consistent over my visits.
A notable highlight was the butternut squash soup. Served piping hot, its creamy texture and the harmonious blend of carrots, butternut squash, celery, and black pepper created a delightful culinary experience. However, it's worth noting for vegans that this soup does contain cream.
The restaurant's take-out service also seems to be popular among customers, adding to its appeal. Whether you're dining alone or with a group of six, the accommodating and friendly service enhances the overall experience.
Bhan Thai remains a solid choice for Thai cuisine enthusiasts, maintaining a strong 4-star rating out of 5 in my book. It's definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in the area.
The food is very good. It is a must try. I will be going again!
We love this location for take out. Consistent food and relatively quick.
The food was very tasty.
Good food, good service, nice place. We have been to Ban thai several times, and food taste is consistently good, Just the meats are a little tough.
Such a nice thai restaurant. The tofu Pad Thai never disappoints. It is just simply amazing and flavorful.
I had the Shrimp Drunken Noodles and it was awesome. I really liked how delicately it was cooked and it was truly mouth watering. I would have given 5 stars for the food but my only concern was the 'Serving Size/Portion'. For almost $15, I would have expected the serving size a bit larger but it was probably not enough for one person. Other than that, the food quality is awesome.
The food is pretty good but unfortunately they lost a customer tonight. I ordered online and specifically asked for extra sauce with one of the meals. When I arrived I stood by the counter for about a minute and wasn’t greeted. I saw a bag sitting on the counter with my name on it. I walked over and looked to make sure everything was in the bag. The woman behind the counter asked if that was my bag. I said yes and she responded. Ok, Bye. I walked over to the counter and she said abruptly. You paid online. I responded I know but I asked for extra sauce on the side. With a slight attitude she told me she knew I ordered extra sauce but it cost extra and they don’t have time to call. Then why do they ask for your phone number? My guess is to sell the information. When I said I still wanted the extra sauce she told me it would be $7.00. And I would have to wait. Since the sauce was for someone else I decided to stay and wait. So, I added specific instructions while ordering, they decided to ignore it and not follow up because they were too busy, and they made me pay and wait. Not good customer service. If you are not going to use the information you ask for on our website while ordering then don’t bother giving the option.
Great Thai restaurant. The food was very tasty and the portions were enough for 2 meals.
One of our favorite dinner spots that we go to at almost every week. However, we were disappointed at our most recent take out experience. When we got home we realized the shrimp dish had a bad smell and taste (very unusual compared to the incredible dish we get almost weekly). Called to request a refund or credit towards next meal for that one dish and were told that we would have to come in for them to see the dish. We live almost 20 minutes away and were hoping for more understanding as a long time loyal customer. The rest of the meal was delicious as always
Highly suggest calling for dine in and take out information before you travel to this location. Apparently there are times when they do take out only but those details are not captured online, site or within the restaurant. Place seemed like a good choice but unfortunately I was unable to try the food or service.
As a person who are from Thailand. The food here is really good. My group order the drunken noodle, Massaman soup, Beef salad (Nam tok), Papaya salad, fried rice, Sai oui (One type sausage) and some other appetizers. All of them are taste good. Server is nice, polite and helpful. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy, warm and welcome. Don't miss out on this place!!! I would love to go back there again
This was my first time going to Bhan Thai, and all I can tell you is how much we loved it. The food was amazing; there was so much flavor and the portions were great. I highly recommend both the Thai tea and Thai coffee. The chefs duck was out of this world even if it was a little costly. It was worth every penny. I will be back and I’ll be trying more of the menu.
The pad Khing was flavorful, service was fast, and the crème brûlée was much bigger than anticipated.
Our server was so sweet she accommodated all of our requests and was very helpful.
Nice hospitality, excellent food.
The atmosphere and servers were very pleasant. Unfortunately, that was were the quality ended. Two of the people in our party ordered the duck. It looked delicious, but the duck was over fried and dry. For those reasons, it was OVER PRICED. One of the people in our party ordered the drunken noodles, but it had a LONG BLACK HAIR in it. It was sent back, replaced, and the manager apologized. However, it was still CHARGED TO THE BILL. WOW!! No discount or concession was given as a response to this GROSS INCONVENIENCE. We had such high hopes for this ⁹restaurant, but we were sadly disappointed. To top it off, this restaurant does not offer a military discount.
There are many alternatives for thai and asia food in the mount laurel and surrounding areas. So, my recommendation is to try those first before you invest your MONEY and TIME at this restaurant.
Absolutely delicious meals, flavorful, and lots of choices on the menu.
Try the drunken noodles!
Beautiful ambiance... excellent food
Service was quick & friendly. The food came out nicely presented & really hot. I didn't really like the sticky rice bc it was obviously coconut flavored for the dessert sticky rice with mango. When I have sticky rice with a meal, I want it plain flavor. When I have the dessert it should be coconut flavor. Otherwise, everything else tasted nice.
Love this place and eat here often!!
I ordered the red curry with chicken and actually asked if they gave me the right thing when it came out. The sauce was darker than I was used to seeing. However, I have to say it was one of the tastiest Thai curry’s I’ve found in the area. There was a ton of flavor and the spice was just enough. Friendly service as well.
Looking for fried ice cream we found Bhan Thai. We loved everything about it from the ambient, decor, food and service. We had fried vanilla ice with coffee and Thai hot tea. Our server was so sweet she accommodated all of our requests and was very helpful. The ambient is a little loud but it's expected as the place was full. Every plate that passed by us look so delicious, we are planning on going back as soon as possible.
5/5 food, 5/5 service, 4/5 value. A bit pricey for what you get, but the food was fantastic!! Spice level 4 beef drunken noodles were what I got. The flavors were excellent and authentic, and the staff was kind enough to seat me 45 minutes before close! I'd go here again and I'm thankful that I stopped here!
Also - Parking was great because of the huge lot!
The cashew chicken was absolutely awesome.
Great food and service.
Good food. Reasonable price. Fast service
Food all tasted good but shrimp
Were quite mushy as were the rice noodles. I took half my dish home - given that I was taking so much home we were never asked if we liked our food .
Also we had shrimp satay (in itself unusual for satay)
And each skewered held one 21-25 size shrimp still in its shell which would be nice to stated on menu as the grilled shells were still quite pliable and difficult to chew unlike other preparations which render the shells crisp and easily chewed.
It also came with a Cilantro chutney not a peanut sauce as listed on menu.
Yummiest thai place
But expensive..wish they had lunch specials thats more pocket friendly’m make sure to make them repeat your orders over phone
They miss out items when you order over phone and I’ve had that experience
Came in for the lunch special and will definitely be back. The green curry is some of the best I've ever had! If you're looking for affordable and delicious Thai food, this is the spot for you.
Delicious food. Will go back again!
Third visit in last few months. Friday night 1/20, ordered appetizers which were great, my son have Duck, which was great. Wife and I had scallops which were not good. Scallops were tough and tasted strong. Very disappointing
Such a great restaurant! Food is always delicious. Vegetables are fresh & plentiful! Service is top notch! Kind & attentive! You won’t be disappointed!
Went here for lunch while the kids were at a bday party nearby. The Massamam Curry was delicious! Everything was very good and so affordable. We also got Pad Thai and Spicy Fried Rice. Would definitely recommend!
Really good Thai food! We've ordered several times over the past few years and the food is remarkably consistent. It's always good. The red and green curry are outstanding and the fried rice is the best I've had compared to several other restaurants in the area. I highly recommend if you're looking for Thai food.
This is my favorite restaurant! Consistently delicious thai food and great service. Also, the chocolate soufflé dessert is worth the 25 minutes it takes to prepare(Order it with your meal) 👍
Not a connoisseur of Thai food by any means BUT they have THE BEST fried crab meat wontons we have ever had. Portions and pricing are JUST RIGHT. Coconut and mango juice are definitely fresh and DELICIOUS!
We ordered $150 worth of food, it was terrible. The vegetables were over cooked the chicken was so dry. We threw away nearly all food. The jasmine rice was uncooked we got 4 extra rice. The food was disgusting & from the day before left over. I have eaten here before so went back what a mistake. They can not handle large orders be very careful if you are catering. I give it 1 star!!! Never again!!!
Delicious curry and nice atmosphere
The service was terrible and the food wasn’t much better. Our server took our order without even asking us about anything to drink. We had to flag her down and ask other severs just to have her to come back to the table throughout the meal. I ordered the pad se ew. The noodles were literally shredded pieces through the dish. There wasn’t one whole noodle on the plate. Nothing had any heat at all. Will not be back and would not recommend.
OMG! My wife saw this restaurant as we drove down Route 38. So we decided to give it a try. First time we went here. We were seated right away, menus already on the table.
We ordered 3 dishes - Papaya Salad, Pad Thai w/shrimp and Green Curry Chicken.
1. The Papaya salad was good - vegetables were fresh and not soggy.
2. The Pad Thai was a little bit on the sweet side but what more than made up for that was the large shrimps and the flavors popping out.
3. The Green Curry chicken was absolutely fantastic 😋. Just the right amount of kick, vegetables fresh, and the chicken was tender. The green curry sauce was soooo good I could have drank the sauce.
Wow! If you live near Mt Laurel and you're looking for really good Thai cuisine, you have to try this place! 5 Stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Good food and nice atmosphere
We love it here! Come here all the time. Fantastic staff, delicious food and a great atmosphere.
First time eating here and we will definitely go back! The food was fresh. We did take-out and it was super hot even when we got home. There was plenty of food - enough for 2 days! Great choice for Thai food!
The food was awesome. The drunken noodles so good 😊
Consistently amazing food! I've been there several times and food is consistently delicious! Being vegetarian, all of our entres were combo of veggies/tofu. We got pad kra Pao (Thai basil), pad Kee mao (drunken noodles) and masaman curry. All were fantastic but my personal favorite is pad Kee mao.
Easy pickup, friendly staff. If you get a drink they don't make it til you're there so it's fresh and not watered down. Thanks!
Previous review: I had the Thai Spring Rolls and the Chicken B.T. Salad. It was pleasing to my palette. I'll definitely be back.
Current review: Went back and this time the boneless chicken had a small bone that chipped two of my teeth. Disappointed...
Best Thai hands down if you can't/don't want to drive to Pennsauken.
Clean, clean bathrooms, food is fresh and flavorful. Only pad Thai in the area my kids will eat.
I've tried everything and loved it. Especially things I don't make any home like squid, made perfectly not chewy not too soft.
Thai iced teas are delicious also.
The food used to be on point but now there was something wrong with everything. service has gone downhill in the last several months and on my last visit everything came out cold. I am now buying my Thai food at a Chinese restaurant, Asian Fusion where it's about $4 cheaper. per dish. Cold lemongrass soup is unappealing and so is cold massaman curry. Even the dipping sauces now taste -- wrong and cheaper.
Really strong Thai food. Good curry and stir fry’s with your choice of protein and we love the drunken noodles. Good pricing with excellent service. BYOB. We love the new more spacious location
Amazing Thai food and great service.
Food was amazing but service on the other hand was horrible. The staff was rude and made racist comments. I would not recommend to go there due to the rude staff and customer service.
Called to see if they host birthday parties, the lady that answer was very rude. She didn’t hear me clearly, when I tried to ask my question again, she hung up in my ears.
Cute place located close to where I was working.. great find!
Never again! Go to Bangkok Palace in Voorhees. I just left BT with my husband. The people are nice the food is nothing special. The food gets 1.5 stars the 3 stars are for the servers. Runny sauce, 3 chicken satay for 9 dollars! Very nice restaurant and the people are very friendly, but you can definitely find better. Happy Easter
Had the tamarind duck and it was awesome. Left a credit card by accident and it was kept and returned hassle free.
Best Thai food in the area!!! Try the fried rice, you won’t regret it!
I was very impressed about this place. The food and service was very good. The amount I paid was great too see. The amount of food they gave me was about the amount I paid. So all in all I will be going back.
The food is excellent!
Great Thai food ! We had dinner there again for the third time in a few weeks. I had the basa fish and my dinner companion had the grilled scallops. We started with spring rolls, as usual. We decided that we'll go back and order the same dishes again only swap , as they were both so deliciously good. The servers are prompt and very friendly always. I can't say enough good things about this place.
Update: five months and many meals later, my opinion has not changed. We look forward to the soon-to-be opened larger space just across the parking lot adjacent to FedEx Office. We'll celebrate a roomier Bhan Thai with yet another outstanding meal. Update: last night's dinner first time at the new room was outstanding Pad Cashew Nut, again great food & service. We were happy to be back inside & at the new place.
Really one of our favorite places. Love the drunken noodles with tofu.
Service was great, food looked amazing, tasted like it was made long before we arrived. My duck curry came out less than 5 minutes after I had ordered it, that told me right away that there was no way it was fresh. Duck was tough like jerky.
I used to like this place, but the latest performance in the kitchen is driving me away.
