Bangkok Street Thai Kitchen
About Us

Bangkok Street started with our family history, with our Thai-Chinese lineage.
Our Chinese ancestors moved to Thailand to Charoen Krung road where the early era of Chinese trading took place, still one of Thailand’s major roads.
Bangkok Street and our menu represents Charoen Krung road and our families time in that community. Serving both authentic Thai street food and the Dim-sum dishes of our childhood. We hope our traditions and food can become traditions for your friends and family

This place is one of our absolute favorites! We came in last night for Valentine’s Day and the place was packed. We were sat quickly, food came out fast (and delicious as always), and the service was stellar. We continue to be blown away by the customer service and food/drinks. We’ll be back next week :)

Diner Review №2

this place has the best thai food on the seacoast. I have never had a bad experience here and every time I am elated at the quality. highly recommend the pad thai, pork gyoza, and fresh rolls! food is fresh and lovely :) Drinks are also outstanding!

This restaurant is lovely! We ordered the taro cakes, veggie dumplings, and shrimp curry, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors had something special about them, different than other similar restaurants that I’ve been to. The only thing that wasn’t ideal was the lychee butterfly pea flower mocktail that I ordered. It was delicious, but it was far too sweet… Other than that, my experience was perfect. I definitely plan on going back and highly recommend this place! The staff and overall atmosphere were very welcoming.

Diner Review №5

The food, atmosphere and service was great! I definitely plan on coming back soon.

Diner Review №6

Food is pretty good, but dining-in is the best way to go. They get our order wrong every time we get take out.

Diner Review №7

Great food. Will visit again

Diner Review №8

Phenomenal Pad Thai dish

Diner Review №9

food was decent. Got takeout, asked for extra peanut sauce... charged $5 for a side of not peanut sauce.

Diner Review №10

Came here for lunch on a Saturday , the atmosphere, food and drinks were all on point. We got the crab Rangoon, the Hawaiian rice, and the shrimp dumpling. Will be coming back soon

Diner Review №11

Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, delicious food. Highly recommend.

Diner Review №13

Delicious food with fresh flavors, as well as a tasty & unique drink menu

Diner Review №14

Diner Review №15

Wicked good crispy duck. And the rice noodle were delicious.

Diner Review №16

Good Thai food, nice room, slow but friendly service, all in all for dinner out it is reasonably priced, solid and tasty. Decent levels of spice, too. I wish the noodle dishes had more assertive noodles, but the shrimp were good, the pot stickers were solid, and all in all pretty enjoyable.

Diner Review №18

The curry here is some of the best I've ever had. All the staff is always very kind and friendly. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is comfortable. A+ everytime

Diner Review №19

Excellent service and food!

Diner Review №20

I have been there now 5 times and every time it is excellent.
Having been to Bangkok that food is just like it is there !!!!
The staff are amazing and so pleasant . Always have a smile on their faces.
The music is so great as well. Being 78 years old it brings back a lot memories !!!!
Being a designer I think it could use large real green plant (A7 or 8 ft. palm trees )at the end of the bar near the wall. It would soften up the whole area .
Just my thought on that. But if you have not been there GO you will not be disappointed !!!!!
Will be back again and again !!!!!

Bangkok kitchen is a hidden gem tucked away in an unsuspecting strip mall. Food was excellent and service was top notch. Great dim lit atmosphere perfect for a casual bite. Will definitely be back.

Diner Review №22

Awesome cooking! Will be back for more when in town!

Diner Review №25

The food was incredibly delicious; however, I was not satisfied with the portion size, as it seemed too small for the price of over $20. I left feeling less full than I typically do after dining at other Thai restaurants.

Very nice enjoy foods

Diner Review №28

Diner Review №29

Amazing food and impeccable service

Diner Review №30

One of the best I’ve tried! Interesting menu, small plates and dim sum.

Diner Review №31

Five stars all the way. Fantastic high quality food creatively prepared. Very pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. We were a larger group so were though in covering the menu. Everything was amazing. As usual we dove in before taking any pictures. So glad we discovered it. Will be back.

Diner Review №32

First time customers, we stopped in after bowling so around 815ish. Food delicious, especially the pad thai, and atmosphere creative, fun.
Only suggestion is upon our arrival it should’ve been said “we close 9pm, so if you are ordering dinner please order now because kitchen will be closed in ~20minutes, and we close our doors at 9pm” … because by the time we decided & ordered food it was ~8:30, then it was rushed being after received our food told the kitchen is closing and they close by 9; preferred to have been told before being seated, sorry we weren’t aware especially first timers; or tell us even before we looked at the menus especially we would’ve changed to just appetizers if it was easier for the kitchen or left, to accommodate the restaurant because all of us felt rushed and truly sorry we inconvenienced the employees.

Diner Review №33

If you are craving fresh, hot Thai food, Bangkok Street Thai is one of the best in the area. The atmosphere is beautiful and upscale. However, the prices are on the more affordable end.

The extensive cocktail menu is inventive and contains classic Thai flavors. I ordered the One Day in Yaowarat - beautifully crafted by their wonderful bartender. The large menu includes authentic dishes such as Khao Soi and a delicious Duck Noodle Soup! Portions are huge & leftovers are inevitable. The highlight for us was the hot, crispy spring rolls - the best in the area! We will be back soon.

Diner Review №34

What a hidden gem! Had a life-changing beef khao soi curry last night, and was blown away by the decor, warm but professional service, and general ambiance of the space. The fried gyoza were flavorful and light, and the presentation was lovely. The gold-gilded bar is stunning. Though relaxed enough to have a drink and chat with your company, the entire restaurant seemed incredibly clean and organized. Will be back very soon (tonight).

Diner Review №35

I wanted to like this place really bad. The ambience was really good. The service was fast, but to tell you the truth I don't mind waiting for something just as long as it's done right. There were a lot of positive reviews so I had to give it a try. The three items on the menu that I wanted to try included the cashews, the fried shrimp and the crispy calamari. The cashews tasted like they were microwaved, I'm sure if they were roasted in a pot they would be delicious. The calamari was chewy like rubber and the shrimp was a little bit too greasy. The dipping sauce for the shrimp is really nice but that's about it. Good luck.

Diner Review №36

I only got pick up but next time I will dine in, anyway the food was very tasty, I would recommend a try if in the Area.

Diner Review №37

Diner Review №38

Extremely good and great gluten free selection!

Diner Review №39

Diner Review №40

While the vibe is cool, the food is unfortunately mediocre at best. I would strongly discourage people from ordering dim sum items and the Thai food was good, but not better than 5 Thai or Nikki’s. I would recommend going to either of those Thai restaurants over this one.

Diner Review №41

Food was good. The drinks were very tasty. My only complaint is the classic rock music. To be honest I would have preferred something less American. Maybe some modern Thai music would have been appreciated. I go to ethnic businesses to be exposed to their culture. But heck, they probably listen to a lot of American music in Thailand I suppose.

Diner Review №43

What a gem to have in Portsmouth. I cannot stop raving about the food, especially their larb and khao soi. The service was also top notch. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!

Diner Review №44

Drinks were strong, food was cooked excellent, and staff was great at their job. Must go for anyone in the NH area.

Diner Review №45

Diner Review №46

Excellent variety and flexibility with the menu for customizing items as needed. Our party of four included two vegans and an especially picky eater, and all four of us left extremely satisfied!

Diner Review №47

Super authentic Thai food.
Khoa soi is same in Thailand.

Diner Review №51

I haven't had much Thai food in my life but from what little I have had this has been the one of the best places. I was amazed at how clean the restaurant was, everything including the bathrooms were virtually spotless. It's hard keeping restaurants clean, so kudos to them. The food was very yummy, the pad Thai I had was so good. I will be back again

Diner Review №52

Soup Dumplings were great for my first time trying them!

Diner Review №53

Diner Review №54

Excellent food. Outstanding service. Was 2nd time dining there. Was not disappointed. Highly recommend.

Diner Review №55

The BEST Pad Thai dish around!!! Such nice staff.

Diner Review №56

Why haven't I ever had fried chicken skins before this experience? Unreal, I could have had 5 servings. After this delightful appetizer I had the Pad Thai with added spice. Delicious! If you like the heat, don't be afraid of the 5 pepper.

Diner Review №57

I have rated this establishment highly because it deserves it.
Service was impeccable, food was perfectly prepared and delicious.

Diner Review №58

Some of the best Thai food I've had in NH. Khao soi was very good and the pad kra pow was perfect.

Diner Review №59

Sam was amazing! Food was incredible and the drinks were so unique and tasty. We can't wait to go back.

Diner Review №60

First time at trying.. Excellent place, selection and asked questions. Service was great.

Diner Review №61

Had dinner here a few weeks ago. It was a little on the early side, but we were hungry. We walked in and were seated right away, the place had nice decor. Our drink orders were taken and we perused the menu. We ordered an appetizer and entrees. The crispy spring rolls and larb. My husband had the garlic chicken and I had the pad kra pow. The drinks were delicious. Nicely crafted and the food tasty. The garlic chicken wasn't as garlicky as we expected. And, the larb and pad kra pow weren't spicy at all. But, still yummy. If we're ever in the area again, we would definitely stop here again.

Diner Review №62

I am obsessed with Thai food. This was my first time here and now you have a life long customer! I will bring all of my fellow Thai food-lovers here. You can taste the love and authenticity in the food! I got the shrimp pad Thai and it was fantastic! The drinks are WONDERFUL! Bravo!

Diner Review №63

Food was great!

Diner Review №64

Food portions are great and the food is always good. The lunch specials are always delicious.

Diner Review №65

I love everything about this place, fresh delicious food, beautiful vibe, great service, and really well made drinks! I have been for multiple lunches and dinner and will keep coming back.

Diner Review №66

Service was great, food was amazing! I had the Beef Khao Soi Curry. And shared Curry Puffs & Steamed Gyoza. Everything was delicious

Diner Review №67

Diner Review №68

The food is amazing! If you appreciate good, authentic Thai food then you will love this spot. The menu is fairly extensive but not overwhelming. The cocktails are good but the beer list leaves a bit to be desired. In my experience, the service is good but not the greatest.

Diner Review №69

I have eaten here a few times and it has been fabulous each time.

Diner Review №70

The duck curry soup is phenomenal 😋 Everyone at my table ordered different meals and every person loved their food!

Diner Review №71

Taste is simply fantastic :)

Good selection of dishes, truly authentic and good!

Diner Review №77

Can't say enough good things about Bangkok Street Thai Kitchen. We've been there several times and always left impressed. My go to dish is always Beef Khao Soi..beef noodle with creamy and slightly tangy soup! All items on the menu that we've tried are all delicious and authentic..none of them are disappointing. We came twice for the Thai Breakfast (they have it every weekend) and will absolutely come back again. Try the pandan custard with bread (or chinese doughnut pathongko), the congee (rice porridge), Thai omelette (this one brings back nostalgia - simple, straightforward but super yummy!), Ha Kau (shrimp dumpling), crispy chicken skin, curry puff - and if you still have room for dessert, Thai Tea Creme Brulee is a MUST try! Service is 5 stars!! The staffs are super friendly! I had lunch with my family today and it's safe to say that Bangkok Street is the highlight of our MDW

Diner Review №78

Diner Review №79

This is hands down one of the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to. Highly recommend.

Diner Review №81

Love the food but little pricey for the location

Diner Review №82

Diner Review №83

Oh man what a hidden gem! So delicious

Diner Review №84

We had a wonderful dining experience at Bangkok Street. With a variety of options and amazing thai iced tea Bangkok Street is worth a visit.

Diner Review №85

Diner Review №86

Huge disappointment. I ordered the Xiao long bao and it was 13 dollars. It came with 4 and they were similar, if not the exact ones, to the XCJ brand of frozen ones. Huge rip off. The Pad Thai was okay. The flavor was barely there and it was incredibly dry. Not worth 23 dollars.

Best Thai in Portsmouth!

Diner Review №93

Delicious food. Super friendly folks. Will absolutely be ordering there again.

Diner Review №94

Yummy food and good service

Diner Review №95

It was very good & the staff was super nice. Will be going here again very soon

Diner Review №96

Don't know why we held off on trying this place! Loved it so much I had my husband take me here twice this weekend. Hopefully I can get back soon, many things to try.

Wait staff was pleasant and always on to of things.
First night we had the Dim Sum Ha kao appetizer (amazing!) Pad Kee mao and
Bangkok noodle. Bangkok noodle was similar to a Tom yum dry noodle which was very tasty. Desert we had to try the Thai tea Creme brulee. That by far was a winner as I'm always in for creme brulee.

Tonight we had Wonton egg noodle and garlic chicken. They both were great. I absolutely loved the Chinese broccoli that was cooked perfectly along with shrimp wonton.

Forgive me not all pictures are perfect, the first night we were in the back which was dark. Also note that the seating is a little tight, but I have to say we had the best time chatting a little with people on both sides of us talking about all the amazing food this place has!

Diner Review №97

Diner Review №98

Diner Review №99

Pricey! Great for an upscale dinner, but a bit much for lunch.

Diner Review №100

Very very good

Diner Review №101

This place is hands down the best place I've EVER eaten at in the state of New Hampshire or Maine! The waitstaff consists of one young man and one young woman, otherwise known as "the dream team". They're both very attentive and ready to answer any questions or give suggestions. Both myself and my family are very picky eaters with diverse palates. We're a foodie family so every weekend we pick a different Thai or Vietnamese place to try. We've been finding after the height of Covid many of the small ma and pa type eateries either closed or went way down in their food quality/preparation. We make the hour drive down to Bankok Sreet Thai Kitchen from our home in Freeport at least once a month because it's just so DELICIOUS!! BRAVO!
I'll take pictures on our visit today and upload at a later date.

Diner Review №102

Everything was amazing. Handmade fresh food. One of my favorite places now.

Diner Review №103

The food was delicious and the drinks were really good- classics with a Thai take on them. The pad si ew was amazing none of the noodles stuck together.

Diner Review №104

Very good. Loved the shu mai and soup

Diner Review №105

We just love this place!! Definitely my favorite Thai place on the Seacoast. We dined in once and did take out once. Both times had a great meal. Really loved all the food. Can’t go wrong with any of the options!

Diner Review №106

Foods so good

Diner Review №107

Top Notch experience….my family and I saw the restaurants sign while shopping and we all love good Thai food,So we took a break for lunch.
Service was fast
Food was cooked to perfection
Atmosphere was sharp and very relaxing
Nothing bad to say, we will be back.

Diner Review №108

Service and waiter were good. Atmosphere of the restaurant were also quite nice. Food left something to be desired, especially for the price. The apps we ordered were a bit small portion-wise and came off as frozen food quality (sorry if they are made in house). Noodle soup entree was all around decent and the duck in the duck curry was fantastic but the curry was thin. I wish the restaurant the best in the future but can't recommend at the time.

Diner Review №109

Diner Review №110

Diner Review №111

Holy pad thai! Creamy, fresh and full of flavor. One of the best I've had in a very long time! The brussel sprouts were crispy and had just the right amount of salt and the crab rangoons were crunchy and cooked to perfection!

Diner Review №112

Diner Review №113

Diner Review №114

The decor is gorgeous just wish the food measured up to the decor and the reviews. The calamari was tough and it seemed as if the appetizers were processed. We had rangoons and spring rolls. The entrees were ok but not great. We had a noodle dish snd pad Thai. There are other Thai restaurants that are so much better

Diner Review №115

I went today for the first time and ordered the Khao Na Ped, a duck entree whose name I'm sure I mispronounced. It was delicious and beautifully plated. Quality service. Would Return.

Diner Review №116

My wife and I got take out, chicken pad Thai and Beef Khao Soi Curry. Both were very good, the Beef dish had just the right amount of heat, definitely a dish I will be getting several times this fall/winter. This restaurant is going into the rotation.

Diner Review №117

Big disappointment. I tried it because the reviews online were great.

This was my $9 soup. This is before I tried it so not even close to the top. It was inedible. . It tasted like salty fish sauce and it had some herbs in it. I would give that zero stars.

The pad Thai was okay. I would give that three stars. I asked for a combination of chicken and shrimp. They said they can’t do that so they added shrimp. $5 for 3 shrimp.

I had such high hopes. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Appreciation post for Bangkok Street Thai Kitchen. Authentic Thai Street food that is SO DELICIOUS and thoughtfully curated.

My husband and I honeymooned in Thailand & lived in Australia for 3+ years where Asian cuisine is in abundance. We are so grateful that Bangkok Street has opened. The menu is quite different from 5 Thai (same owners) and so, so well done - emulating what you find on the streets and in the dumpling houses in the region.

We had soup dumplings, steamed gyoza w/ chili sauce, beef skewers, khao soi and then the crispy bbq duck. My mouth is watering thinking about it again! We finished with mango sticky rice that brought me back to the beaches of Phuket.

Run, don't walk! You won't regret it :)

Diner Review №123

The food was delicious and the place had a Great vibe! The staff was so friendly and the drinks were also delicious! We will be frequenting this place!!

Diner Review №124

EXCELLENT ! Dim Sum, Duck Red Curry Soup and Apps the Best. Also the Service is fast and friendly, Lee at the bar makes great drinks. I need to continue to try more items.

Diner Review №125

Hands down the best food I have had in a long time. Thai or not. Everything was fresh and the flavors were delicious. This will be my go to spot from now on. I'm happy to have found the place.

Diner Review №126

My husband, kids and I had our first dinner (of what will be many) at Bangkok Street tonight. We tried a handful of apps and each got a different entree. Everything was absolutely amazing! On top of delicious cuisine, the service was fantastic! Glad to have a great Thai restaurant on this side of town so we don’t have to journey into downtown.

Diner Review №127

Diner Review №128

Wow, what a gem! So happy to have a Boston caliber restaurant in Portsmouth. The design of the restaurant, menu, website is top tier. You can tell they've thought a lot about every little detail (and have good taste ☺️) and it is stunning. The food was reflective of that as well. Super high quality, fresh and simply delicious. I will be back for the mango sticky rice in particular! I hope the restaurant is here to stay a long time! Go check them out, the service was absolutely lovely as well!

Diner Review №129

The short rib in the Beef Khao Soi Curry noodle is sooooooo tender and the broth is so umami. The decor is aesthetically pleasing and there’s no shortage of parking space. Can’t wait to come back to try everything on the menu 🤤

Diner Review №130

Great food

Diner Review №131

My first visit was wonderful. Friendly staff, great food. I will definitely return

Diner Review №132

Great everything! Our apps and entrees were so delicious, no complaints! Atmosphere is great, I love the decor and colors. 10% off until the end of Sept, which we didn’t know until we paid! Definitely will be back!

Diner Review №133

Got a mix of apps and dim sum for takeout, everything was fantastic. So excited to have this as an option in Portsmouth!

Diner Review №134

Very good. Would recommend. Crème brûlée and sundae desserts were 10/10

Diner Review №135

My wife and I had an early dinner here today. The food was exceptional, and the staff was very friendly! We’re excited for this to become our regular Thai restaurant. Welcome to Portsmouth :)

Diner Review №136

Definitely the best Thai food in the area. Authentic and fresh.
