Strip-mall restaurant & bar serving classic Thai dishes in a warm, relaxed setting.
My server was amazing and very attentive. He always checked if we were doing well and enjoying our food. Even when I asked about the drinks. He let me know what was in it and checked for what I was looking for in flavor. My husband and I had the Tom Kha which I really enjoyed. The appetizers were very good. The duck completed the meal. I will be back again.
I stopped here for lunch after a little shopping. My waitress was so nice and attentive. I had the crab Rangoon, and gyoza for an appetizer. Both were so tasty! The crystal pad Thai was also very good. My friend had sesame beef and liked it too! I will stop here again when I visit the area.
Hands down Sweet Ginger is locked in my top 3 places to eat in NH. I haven't eaten anything here that wasn't amazing. My favorite thing about this place is I could not order take out for a couple weeks/months and the owner always remembers my wife and my orders and exactly how we like everything made.
After a VERY long day (11 hour drive) our first stop after checking into our nearby hotel was this amazing restaurant! I wasn’t starving so I ordered Bonnie’s soup and it was the perfect dinner after the long day. Others at my table got the pad Thai and drunken noodles and everyone was very happy with their meals. The servers were great and I would absolutely go here again if I were in the area.
If you like great food and small town feel, you'll love this place! I often hear the owner welcoming customers in by name! It is warm and welcoming with a bar, casual dining room, and a brand new sushi bar. My favorites run up and down the menu but most often I'm enjoying the teriyaki salmon, yellow curry, mango curry, the appetizer chicken wings, the chicken satay and of course, the Sweet Ginger Main Tai. The restaurant is clean, the ingredients are always fresh and the service is always great! I have been coming here since it opened and I always leave with a full belly and a smile!
Ordered take out..as we always have. Used to love the golden triangles but tonight they were flat and over cooked. So bummed. .Orange chicken dish was also overcooked and mostly breading. The meal comes with a microscopic container of rice. Not good all around for me. Consistency has been an issue unfortunately.
Amazing place! Some of the best ramen I've ever tasted. My friends and I come here regularly. Service is immaculate.
good quality food but portions are very small

Food taste was not good as compared to other Thai restaurants. Quantity was very less.
Foods outstanding, I always get the duck 🦆
First time customer. Trash service. From the moment we walked in no one had the courtesy to acknowledge and/or seat us. Freezing cold. Miserable looking environment. Left and went down the street to our favorite, BEST service and BEST Thai food restaurant around - A LOT OF THAI. :)
My favorite place for any meal out! Every dish I've tried has been full of flavor, and of amazing quality! My only wish is that it were a little closer to home!
They used to be a lot better. Be careful how they charge you. They try to upsell you on everything. Instead of charging for the lunch menu, they will automatically defer back to the dinner menu. I felt a bit deceived.
Delicious fresh Thai and sushi
After a VERY long day (11 hour drive) our first stop after checking into our nearby hotel was this amazing restaurant! First time I went a year ago the food was very good. Past few times the food is not as good at all. The service is very slow. 3 tables came in at least 30 minutes after us and had drinks and apps before we were served anything. Unorganized, slow and not pleasant. I will not be going back. There are very few restaurants in the area that are worth eating at. Disappointing.
I used to go to Sweet Ginger in the past. This restaurant must be under new management now. Food portion size is smaller. I ordered the Druken chicken dish and it tasted like fish soup or fish sauce added in.The hot sizzling beef dish was blant and not spicy at all. Staff was not attentive. The $5 lunch add-on comes with 2 little portion of appetizer and a fountain drink. Definitely not a great deal for your money. Sad that they have turned a decent Thai restaurant into another one that you will not go back to.
Went for lunch after a long time. Looks like a new management. Quality of food is not what it used to be. Cauliflower bites was way too sweet and wish they separated the sauce. Basil curry also not that great. Service and atmosphere fine.
Great food, great service
I love this little restaurant. I cannot have gluten and they have been very informative on what I can eat and adaptions I can do to things that are not listed as gluten-free to make them so. They have a very friendly staff. Moderately busy at the times I visit, but I am always greeted promptly. Very efficient!
Many of the dishes are excellent. I have not had a “bad” one. I wish they would cook the veggies a little more in the Green Curry. Sauces could be thicker.
Rude and horrible customer service. I ordered the cauliflower bites and vegetable fried rice. I specifically said vegetable because I am a vegetarian. The woman was rude and condescending and blamed me for the mistake. I will not give this place my hard earned money again!!!...maybe she is hard of hearing because she asked my name and I said Jones but she put Joanna and I am clearly a grown man.
My favorite local Thai, but I come for the sushi. Best and freshest in the area.
So for anyone like me I love genuine ramen I can confirm since hana combined with this restaurant they have several authentic ramen with a giant expansive menu that you will have to return dozens of times to try. The best example being the salmon fried rice I got which as a salmon lover I loved. They have a huge sushi list as well as several different rolls. It's slightly more pricey then an average with most stuff being in the 17-18 range but quality is guaranteed. The staff is very friendly and everything was very clean and all the plates were unique. Cannot recommend enough
About two years ago, I used to get food from here all the time. The quality has gone down for some reason. every time I order food from here I keep getting disappointed. I ordered the drunken noodles today and the noodles were pretty much rolled up in balls. The chicken and shrimp were overcooked and dry. I also bought the Sesame beef, which was so overcooked to the point that it wasn’t even edible. I don’t know how someone can sell this type of food with the prices attached to them. I am very disappointed and I will not be re-ordering anymore from this establishment.
Very good.
Their chicken penang curry is one of my top 5 favorite foods...it's always hot, and the veggies are always fresh.
It's a charming Cafe style fine lunch experience. Nice out of the way place. I'm very glad to have stumbled upon this restaurant 🙌
Food is top quality and fresh. Service was quick and friendly.
Great flavourful food. I've ordered at least a dozen different dishes here and they were all quite tasty. The chispy chicken dishes, Yum Neau, and Lo Mein Kra Pow are my favorites. Recently they added sushi options as well, which I havent tried yet. There are tons of different things on the menu to try, lots of options. This is probably my favorite Thai place and most frequented near Manchester
They have a crispy duck that I love.
We get take out for lunch from Sweet Ginger regularly. The food is fresh and tasty & the folks working are friendly - I use their on-line ordering & they always thank me for that. Nice variety also
Delicious Thai food!
Unfortunately, what used to be one of my favorite restaurants has gotten cheap over the years. Although their food is excellent, they have reduced their portions to an unrealistic increment. While keeping the same high prices. If you don't order allot of food, you will eat and still be hungry. Very disappointed, I hardly go their now because of this.
Overall good food. Vegetable tempura was not good. Very friendly service. Would go back again
I’ve gotten the Duck soup and it was a pretty good soup, but this time I got takeout and it was not good. The broth is separated from the other things, so I took a green bean and ate that first and nearly choked on how peppery it was. The broth was the same.
Absolutely horrible. Got this for lunch and ended up GETTING FOOD POISONING!!!! Portions are very small, and food is horrible. don't eat here unless you want to be very sick for days.
Great Thai place. Easy online ordering and food always ready when they say it will be. Seating inside is nice and servers are friendly and accommodating. We love the sushi bar too.
Fantastic Thai food, probably the best I've ever had. I highly recommend the Pad Thai!
Great food . New shared space with hanna sushi doubles the size of the menu.
Closes between lunch and dinner
I like sweet food. The original Thai restaurant in the area
If you are looking to spend a lot of money for an unreasonably small portion and uncooked food this is the place for you! The rice that comes with the curry is literally 2 bites!!! And I was told due to inflation that is the amount they now serve. Pad Thai was not cooked and no sauce. The total for these dishes $30. I returned food to restaurant asked for a full refund and they would only refund the Pad Thai because they thought 2 bites of rice with 1 cup of curry to be acceptable. Well it's not acceptable in my book and I will never be back. I highly recommend A Lot of Thai which is down the road. Their food is fresh (and cooked!), portion sizes are good too. Will only be going to them from now on.
The food is delicious. The staff very friendly. The place is clean and enjoyable. Absolutely would recommend to others.
Excellent food, Excellent owner ,bigly service. .. best thai food in southern NH by far
Tiny place, order out maybe, delicious food, fresh herbs.
What a cute place!! The food is delicious. The not spicy option is truly not spicy! If you want more flavor I'd go with the one star of spice option.
Absolute trash. Definitely gonna have diabetes after you eat their food. Everything is OVERLY SWEET. How do you serve a tom yum and wonton soup SWEET?! I guess that’s why they’re called SWEET Ginger, they weren’t lying LOL. Definitely will be my last time. Don’t make the same mistake, save your money.
High food quality, but they are portion skimping. I got an order of drunken noodles with chicken tonight that was mostly vegetables. This was not the first time I've noticed them skimping. Raise prices if you have to, but nobody wants to be hungry after eating dinner.
I had a very disappointing experience here when I stopped by for lunch. I used to frequent this spot when I worked in nearby Manchester. I was glad to get food here today when I was in the area.
There was only one server working so the service was a little slow and I understand that it's the norm post-COVID with staffing shortages everywhere. But I could clearly see her be very attentive to another table nearby and I waited a fairly long time to get my drink order in.
And once I did get my food which was a lunch size, I realized that the portion size had reduced drastically compared to the last time I was here which was certainly a while back. But for comparable prices elsewhere I was disappointed. Again I was not too surprised because that seems to be the norm.
When I started eating I noticed that there were some pieces of chicken that seemed undercooked and I notified the server and she was happy to take it back to the kitchen to get it rectified. I was asked if I wanted something else instead, which I did and in the time I was trying to look at the menu to order something else, a different woman from the staff came and explained to me the process of cooking the chicken in a sort of a patronizing way. And condescendingly said that the meal would not be comped which I did not ask for at all. And I was told that either I can eat it or it won't be taken off the bill if I ordered something else. At that point I was just hungry and didn't care about a comped meal. I just didn't want to eat what looked like undercooked chicken. They could have easily made me a fresh plate or rectified the situation in a different way. But the lady I spoke to chose to be rude and condescending. I feel like I was very polite when requesting a fix to my dish and didn't warrant such rude treatment.
I chose not to finish my meal because I didn't want to risk being sick. I wish things had gone differently. I don't think l will be back. I considered not tipping but the food wasn't the servers fault, even if she was less than adequate with her service. Thankfully I live pretty far away now so I won't be missing out on anything.
Hopefully someone from the management seesthis review to handle things like this more professionally in the future. It's a shame because I have recommended this restaurant to multiple people I know.
My favorite Thai restaurant. Amazing food that's not expensive. Great staff and fast service
If you like Thai food then Sweet Ginger is a must try! HUGE menu but everything I’ve had has been awesome.
The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. Sweet Ginger is a family favorite.
Smaller portions than previously as others have mentioned. Food itself is good but honestly the atmosphere from the hostess and some of the staff isn’t worth it. The past several times we’ve tried to dine in or take out, the service was subpar which is disappointing because we liked coming here. We waited almost 1.5 hours for a takeout order when their website said 45-60 min. Normally not an huge deal but when we politely asked about our order, we just got brushed off by the hostess saying they’re busy and that’s it. If we hadn’t paid online already, we would’ve just left. So overall good food but expect slow and borderline, if not frankly, rude service.
Now taken over by HANA, a real step down. Need a Sushi bar like a hole in the head. Very slow service, food quality a full notch down from Sweet Ginger. New decor takes its que from Holiday Inn breakfast area. Used to be a regular but sadly, no more. Tried the old Hana several times, always disappointing, now its character has obliterated Sweet Ginger.
Fabulous Thai food! I found them on Memorial Day when many of the other local Thai places were closed. So glad I did. We visit there almost once a week now. I absolutely suggest the Tom Yum Noodle Soup or the Drunken Noodles. The boyfriend's kid also love the Duck Noodle soup. I will be back soon!! 8/2023 Still coming here. Love it so much and now even more that they merged the Hana menu and their menu.
Was disappointed with the takeout from this place . I ordered beef pad Thai . I was flabbergasted that they charged almost 3 dollars for hot sauce !? And extra for a piece of lime . I also got no napkins or a fork . The pad Thai was 90% noodles and 4 pieces of burnt thin flank steak . I proudly support local businesses but it’s hard when they can’t meet you in the middle . Pretty sad about this one .
Great food
Ordered a couple of items off of the dinner menu, seems like the portions have shrunk and prices have bloated over the past few months. Asked the restaurant to substitute chicken for a dish that comes with shrimp and chicken , all the whole dish had were 3 shrimp, prices online also seem to be 20-30% less than actual prices in the restaurant, the ol bait and switch I guess.
Sweet Ginger, which is Thai food, a mix of very authentic and American eyes versions, seems to have recently merged with Hannah, a nearby Japanese restaurant. When we logged on to order food to take out, we were thrilled that we could mix and match from the two menus, and they also seem to have both expanded. Somewhat. Everything we got was highly delicious. Most recently we got the pork miso ramen, and I swear it was the most delicious broth I've had outside of Japan. Those kinds of soups always will blow you up like a balloon temporarily, though.
Best Thai food around!
Pat is having difficulty getting staff, so please be patient.
Super friendly staff!
Great Thai food!
Fantastic food and service.
Korean fried rice is my favorite. They can add Kimchee if you ask.
Energy dish I've had at Sweet Ginger has been delicious and today was no exception. The spicy beef was superb and certainly loved up to its name. There was plenty of food and a very reasonable price.
Food was on par with a grocery store Asian food. Cocktails had no explanation of what was in the drink.
I called a half hour prior to coming to be respectful and make sure they had the capacity for a party of 7, and the reassured me they could. Once we got there, the server was clearly distressed as they were the only one working. We waited 2 hours for our food, with each dish coming out about 10-15 minutes apart so we couldn’t even eat together. When it came time to pay, they charged an 18% gratuity, which is fine as it isn’t the servers fault our meals took so long. However, when we stated they should provide us a free meal, they said they couldn’t and would be able to take the servers tip only. Obviously we didn’t agree as it isn’t their fault, but it’s ridiculous they were going to take money away from the server rather than lose money on a single meal.
Extremely long waiting, and the food is mediocre at best.
I used to be a big fan of this restaurant but I went recently and the service was awful!
1. Even though the menu clearly says that they will adjust the spice level upon request, when I asked the waitress if they could make one of the dishes less spicy, she flat out refused: Just curtly said "No" with zero explanation -- very weird, and meant I had to awkwardly scramble to find a less spicy alternative on the spot.
2. We ordered boba tea, which is meant to be cold. However, presumably because she had placed it on a hot surface, the top 2/3 of all our drinks was cold but the bottom 1/3 was hot! Absolutely bizarre.
3. When I asked the waitress for another boba tea that wasn't weirdly hot, it looks like she literally just dunked a ton of ice in my existing boba tea and gave the same drink back to me.
The food itself was fine -- not terrible, but not great either. However, that waitress singlehandedly created such a terrible experience that it's not worth going back.
I really like Sweet Ginger, the food is great and the workers are friendly. I typically tip them even when I do carry out just so they know they are appreciated, but recently when I was about to order, someone called and I was told to hang on while the person working the register took an order. I did not like that because my time is equally as important as the person sitting comfortably at home calling in an order. So bottom line, I love Sweet Ginger, it is my go-to place, just remember, respect my time.
Derek was nice. Owner over charged our beverages. No a/c.
This is my favorite spot!! Pik pow fried rice is incredible!! So delicious. Never had something I didn’t like. 10/10
The food is very good and so are the prices. The drinks could be a little cheaper. Not a lot of atmosphere. Be careful of the heat levels. They are very good about adjusting them to your taste..
Food is excellent and reasonably priced! Our faves are the green or red curry with chicken. Staff are friendly, appreciative of their customers! Best Thai restaurant!
Bring a winter coat.every time it's freezing
Excellent food. Quick service
We had plans with family on Christmas Eve but a major power outage and no expected repair time changed things for us. We had to rush out to buy a generator and try to avoid a frozen house after 18 hours with no status update.
Instead of seeing family, we came to Sweet Ginger for a last minute family dinner.
Given the scenario we were more than happy. We had the pad Thai and the udon stir fry. We also had a soup but no one remembers which one. Everything was delicious. They do the chicken better than the beef... But really you can't go wrong.
Drink selection is pretty decent too. Didn't the the mai tai yet... So that's up to you to explore.
If the stack of regulars at the bar on Xmas Eve says anything... Their mixed drinks are going to be good.
Great food
Sweet Ginger will not be pre-covid good like it was. The Chicken finger was chicken shreds more batter than meat.. Pad Thai was just ok. Thai egg roll was chicken in flavor only. Cut hour to focus on better quality..
I've been to Sweet Ginger a few times now and everytime the food and service are amazing. Everything is made to order and you can absolutely tell by the fresh flavors. This is definitely my go to now!
We stopped here while passing through the area.
Service was quick and friendly. The diningroom had a very upscale feel.
Our food was good, but not quite on par with a couple of my favorite Thai places. I would dine here again if i return to the area.
Really good quality food
The food was great
One of our favorite Thai places. All around a decent experience!
Very worst experience. Ordered 2 stars for the spicy level. I’m a frequent visitor. I know the spice level. But the person attending the call was very rude and argued that’s their spice level. If I order spice level 4 then will they serve chilly paste instead of rice. Ridiculous. I hate Merrimack sweet ginger. Will never visit again. I spent $ 53.44 on this food 😡
Food was delicious but quite expensive for the portion sizes. We spent $60 for two entrees and a small appetizer and a couple of cokes. I could have spent half that at our local Chinese restaurant for an equivalent meal. We were there for dinner though and it looks like the lunch menu is much more affordable.
Food was good the server a big guy was really friendly. Floor was sticky and no lock on the men's room.
First time stir fry was BURNT. Second time they said it won't be BURNT . Entire sauce had a strong BURNED NASTY flavor.
They cannot use a WOK properly.
They are complacent because nobody complains.
Not charred......BURNED BLACK FOOD.
The fried brussel sprouts are delicious. The sauce makes it! Lots of great vegan options too. Service was wonderful - we were there about 40 minutes before closing and they didn't make us feel rushed at all (but we rushed ourselves to get done by closing so they could go home).
I'm in town for three days and was lucky enough to find this place on day one. I have now eaten different things there 3 nights in a row, and my biggest regret is that I live too far away to come back regularly. The menu is large and varied, everything I ordered was delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend!!
Very accommodating for a last minute large party. Excellent food as always, and exceptional prices. Will always go back! Try the triple C's
Lovely staff and great food
the food is decent not great.
it's no contact delivery but it's not true. only dine in and pick up. there is no delivery here
After a previous miss in quality things were back to the reason why we return. Dinner was very good, well be back again.
I'm torn. Got some takeout and I was blown away by the flavors of the sauces, spices, and seasonings. Exquisitely nuanced and layered. So imagine my disappointment to find everything was overcooked. The wontons were so darkly fried the filling was dry and dense. The Korean sausage was so dry it had the consistency of sawdust. And duck is supposed to be tender, not chewy. So, yeah... I probably will try them again because of the flavors. Fingers crossed they get it right next time. :-(
Not impressed by the food. Gyoza dumplings were very small. Not much tofu in the vegetables and tofu dish.
The food was extremely good but the customer service was even better 🤗 the Pad Thai Kob and Vegetarian egg rolls were awesome!!!
Lots of selection but food and drink was late and food was very average, service was poor. Wasn't busy, but needed more staff working
Edit: my recent experience here hasn't been great especially with the takeout and the portion sizes have really gotten smaller.
I just love the food here. We always order vegetarian spring rolls for the table which is served with a pineapple sauce and scallion pancakes. I just love the pineapple fried rice here and I also like the curry options. The portions are decent and after the apps I always have part of my meal to take for lunch next day!
Excellent food.
Drunken Noodles and Duck Green Curry are ridiculously good.
Great food, not usually much of a wait, and great drinks
Thoroughly enjoyed dining at Sweet Ginger. The food was great, the service was exceptional, and I enjoyed the ambiance as well. Highly recommend
The food was above average. Service was good !! Ambience was okayish ..
Delicious Thai food! Fast and courteous service.
I love Sweet Ginger, I have eaten her multiple times and enjoy the food everything. I had the Sweet Ginger BBQ pork this time and it was great. The menu is huge and has so many great dishes on it.
As usual, outstanding
Love this place! Derek is great! 10/10 every time!
The menu at Sweet Ginger is extensive and the food is really great! The wait staff are either stressed/overworked or they could use some training. But if you are out with friends or family and are looking for some good food, this is the place to go.
Great Thai food and really affordable. Everything my partner and I have tried here has been delicious!
The best Thai food in the area. Authentic Thai recipes and terrific service. Tasty entrees and soups; Duck Cury is the best in Southern NH. Highly recommend Sweet Ginger.
The green curry here is really good! I take it as spicy as they will make it, and it does not disappoint!
Good Pad Thai. (Edit: I've had much better Pad Thai in my life now...)
Excellent food and service! Love the green and red curry dishes.
Staff is always friendly and welcoming. The owner is always a pleasure to be around she and will go out of her way to make sure you have everything you need/want. Food is always fresh, made to order. The atmosphere is really inviting but homey. I've never had a bad meal here.
❤️
Good food and good service.
Always the best food and service. Sweet Ginger is my go-to Thai in the Northeast. Huge menu, authentic cuisine, freshest ingredients. If you are driving by, you must stop by.
Wow I just experienced the most nicest thing that could possibly happen to anyone today. Staring off by saying this is my third time ordering here and before I only ordered pad thai but this time I wanted to order a bit more and taste more flavors, I saw "sweet ginger chicken" on the menu a customer posted and ordered that but it was named orange chicken instead, I felt really bad when a nice lady said she would make the orange chicken for me. So when the dishes were all nicely packed and ready to take home I was ready to pay but they said I didn't need to instead to leave a review (of course here I am). Overall the service and this experience was so nice, this place is truly wonderful!
Best Thai food in the area.
Never disappoints! Excellent array of scrumptious dishes and superb service. Whether its take out or dine in you will enjoy.
Yummy!!
Probably won't go back.
We tried take out from here a few weeks ago. I got the Pad See Ew and shortly thereafter followed the worst food poisoning I could have imagined. I was up all night, do not recommend. Beware.
Never disappoints. Always fresh and delicious!
I absolutely ❤️ their food I have gone there a few times and will keep going there 😚💨💨💨❤️
Love this place! So good
The kra pow lol mein is incredible and this is the only place I can find it. Food is usually served hot and fast.
Could be better.. could be worse. 🤷🏽♂️
Super tasty at an affordable price! They also serve the food quickly, couldn't be happier
Food is so delicious, staff is friendly, food is served fast and good prices. Couldn’t ask for much more.
Really good Thai/Asian food in the Nashua area. They are quick, the place is clean, food is tasty.
Amazing food and amazing decor.
