Our dining rooms have reopened today June 15 2020. We have thoroughly cleaned and disinfected every surface as well as dishes, glasses and utensils. Also we currently have a few tables outside for fresh air dining. Your safety is a high priority for us and we look forward to making your visit safe and enjoyable.
If you’re looking for an authentic Thai dining experience, this may not be the best option. The shrimp Pad Thai was much sweeter than expected and lacked some key ingredients like egg and bean sprouts. The crispy chicken didn’t seem very fresh, and the Thai tea was overwhelmingly sweet with little actual flavor.
Service could also be improved. The server didn’t greet us upon arrival and seemed a bit disengaged throughout our visit. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were seated very close to the only other guests, which made for an unintentionally shared dining experience.
The atmosphere was not particularly inviting, as the restaurant is located in a basement with a noticeable damp smell. Additionally, the signage throughout the space gave off a less-than-welcoming tone.
Last note, the suggested tips amount on their bill was calculated on the whole bill which means you’re paying tips for the tax as well.
Overall, there’s room for improvement in both food quality and service. I hope to see some positive changes in the future.
Decent thai food. We got the Tom Kha, with chicken, which was surprisingly good. It's wasn't heavy on the coconut or cilantro and was just a simple soup. We also got the Cashew Delight, which wasn't bad, it's just a completely vegetable dish, luckily we got tofu with it, but as a "main" dish it's way too expensive for what you get (side note we got like 4 cashews in it). Lastly we got the Pad Woon Sen, with shrimp. This was basically pad thai with glass noodles instead of traditional.
Green curry was pretty good. Good curry base with coconut flavor and the chicken and vegetables were not overcooked. The interesting thing was the eggplant preparation, which was in a long section. I think it would have been better as smaller pieces. Service is very friendly and attentive as well. The only thing is the ceiling is very low so watch your head. Also, the restaurant is downstairs!
I must admit, upon seeing the exterior, we were unsure about what to expect from our dining experience. However, upon entering the main part of the establishment, we were greeted by a fantastic atmosphere and a bustling crowd—promising signs for a Wednesday evening. The menu offered a diverse range of delicious options, and everything we selected exceeded our expectations in taste. The service was prompt, and the portion sizes were perfect for our liking.
Great hidden Thai restaurant. The food is amazing. I got crispy duck basil which was delicious and crispy. Even tho they were pretty busy food came up pretty quick so that was a plus
Sticky rice and mango always hit the spot for me so I recommend it if you never had it before.
The restaurant is located underground so it can feel a bit crammed. Only reason why I have 4 stars on it. Interior design was cute and nicely set up.
Overall definitely recommend it if you are in the mood for some Thai food
Absolute five stars!
I personally don't like sweet drinks but this glass of ‘Candy Lover’ just hit the right spot! Very refreshing. Sweet but not too sweet and a bit sour. Very fragrant with raspberries. A drink of choice for ladies! It also came with a lollipop, SUPER CUTE. Definitely coming back!
The prices are high for such small portions. I highly recommend the spicy udon noodles. They were the best thing I tried. The Tom yum and curry’s were good. The pad kee mao was average and the Thai basil rice wasn’t worth it. The curry’s came with less curry and more meat which wasn’t idea for eating with rice.
炒饭吃出铁丝,给出的解决方案是either remade或者给我们refund(但前提是要把饭拿走不让顾客吃)。还质疑顾客的态度。
I find the food very tasty and it comes in a good quantity. You get served quickly and the delivery is also fast.

I've been numerous times over the last 7 or so years, and their food is absolutely delicious. I've personally never had any issues with service, wait time, or the dishes. But I'm really disappointed looking at the responses to lower reviews.
Whoever is writing these is out of their mind. If someone posts a lower review, what I'd expect is either no response, which is fair considering it was likely a rare anomaly, or a respectful explanation as to what happened and an apology for their experience. What I don't expect is extremely condescending, haughty rants berating the customer for daring to leave such a review. These rants include excuses for poor service including being short staffed (apparently the customers should just know/infer this?), political views ("woke bs" "lunatic administration" "bidenomics"), and telling reviewers to "grow up" and other condescending stuff.
Am I going to return? Yeah probably. The food is delicious (their Avacado Curry might be the best curry I've ever had). But this has definitely soured my view of this place.
owner responded so:
If a customer with a poor experience decides to leave review like "this place SUCKS i HATE this place," yeah go for it, berate them all you want. But if someone has a subpar experience, and writes out their problems in a respectful manner, I'd expect for a respectful response. Yes, this restaurant is great, but at some point, someone will get poor service or an undercooked dish, and to berate those people for "not understanding" is just kinda sad. I'd try to get them to come back, prove to them this place is better than they thought! Instead, you're basically just reaffirming in their minds "yeah this place sucks, never returning."
No my feelings weren't hurt, in fact at first I found it super funny and refreshing how blunt you were. But the fact you respond to everyone this way—even if they voiced their complaints in a very respectful manner—is what disappoints me.
Amazing food! Owner is so nice and lovely as well. We will definitely be back

They stole my card. I left it there and then went back IMMEDIATELY, and it was gone!! I am so sure that they have it. I didn't go anywhere else and will never return to this restaurant. I am so upset that supporting a small business resulted in this. I hope the card was worth it.
The owner is a liar who harasses customers... please see their response
We ordered a $100 dollar meal. We only gave a tip of 10 dollars since the service was poor in general. As we were walking out the waitress was talking on the phone and was telling someone how she was mad that someone would tip only 10 for a 100 dollar meal. Completely ridiculous that they are not grateful at all. They will likely reply to this comment and you will see that’s it’s very arrogant. That, in general, is a red flag. Don’t go unless you want to be mistreated…
I know the food will be really good when the entrance look very sketchy 😂
I ordered Pad Char (Spicy Seafood Stired-fry with rhizome root and baby peppercorn) and Mango Salad. Both dishes are flavorful and just right. The mango salad is tangy, sweet, and a bit of sour with the crunchy from nuts and giant shrimp. Pad Char is amazing with the combination of savory, spicy, and unique heat from rhizome roots and baby peppercorns. The crispy basil leaves on the top just the right finish for the dish.
This is the really good spot for Thai’s food. Majority of the menu tend to be central of Thailand’s style of food.
The service is warm and welcoming. It can get busy really quickly (I visit the place on lunch time).
I definitely am coming back and highly recommend The place for authenticity of Thai flavors and spices.
Absolute five stars!

First time trying Thai food, normally I stick to Chinese-American style food, however I was recommended to try this establishment by a friend. Being former military, I have eaten all around the world, and this is up there with one of the best Mom and Pops restaurants I’ve tried. Great atmosphere, great service, and even better food. I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you’re in the area!
Was looking for some good thai food around the area and stumbled upon this place with pretty good ratings and decided to go in here. Nothing positive to say about this place. Food was terrible, service sucks. I felt insulted by the waitress while ordering and one of the items had a bone when I had strictly asked for vegetarian food and all my orders were vegetarian. I wonder how hygienic theie kitchen is.
I wonder if all the reviews they've got are legit.
Very rude customer service. Once we ordered we wanted to change a dish we asked about within 2 minutes of ordering but the lady was very rude and denied us to change anything. We were served food in next two minutes which makes me wonder nothing is fresh there. Also all dishes were not even hot. Veggie mango fried rice smelled a lot like meat and by the end of the meal we also a saw a small piece of bone in our veggie dish. Disgusting.
Update: it is not only about denying our request to changes within two minutes, it is also about how it was done. How rude and unprofessional the lady attending us was. Making angry faces. Anyway, rude owner’s angry reply to every bad review says it all. Thankful that i that i live in a place where
i get to eat actual good thai food most of the times and attended by friendly folks.
surprised this place is still holding up on all four legs (mostly). food is pretty bland. i got fed mud and bricks and a glass of water. i then had the pleasure of the owner yelling at me and pouring fish sauce in my shoes after saying i didn’t like the taste! 0/10!
Delicious Thai food, consistently awesome 🙌🏼 had the pad see ew tonight, spicy 🌶️ so good
Great Thai food!
Very good! Not inexpensive, but that's inflation for ya. I walked in and ordered food for takeout, and it was handed to me in less than 10 mins.
Savory collection of Thai cuisine essentials with a handful of creative variations on those dishes. However, service was slow, the dining area was hard to find and rather unkempt, and the prices, even in this new economic climate, were a bit of a sticker shock (>$100 for two kids meals, two curries, and two teas).
Not quite as good as most big city Thai places, but will do in a pinch. Not enough lemongrass in the fresh dishes. A bit overpriced but maybe not for its location in NH..
One of my all time favorite places. I've never been disappointed here.
I used to love Tuk Tuk 2 years ago but today I ordered takeout and the food was honestly not what it used to be. I ended up throwing out the food the taste was gross and I had to wait just to get my takeout food because no one was managing the front. It was a waste of my time and money.
My favorite Thai place on the planet. Disclaimer though, I only get the same dish over and over again here—the Pad Kee Mao. Never ceases to excite my taste buds.
I love the Thai veggie dumplings!! The ginger soy sauce is so good mixed with the sirracha. A must try!
It was aight
I've never been disappointed with the quality of the food, it's very good. The issue here is price. They are terribly overpriced because the portions are tiny. You can pay a few dollars more to get the dinner portion and it's still not as much food as anywhere else in town gives you in a lunch portion and it costs 50% more. Doesn't matter how good the food is when I leave feeling ripped off and unsated every time. If they can get their prices in line it would be 5 star.
We went at 1pm, almost no one inside. Wait staff was super nice and incredibly fast to get food out. It was about $50 for two people. Really good food, nice atmosphere, great staff.
Great hidden Thai restaurant. The food is amazing. I got crispy duck basil which was delicious and crispy. Even tho they were pretty busy food came up pretty quick so that was a plus
Sticky rice and mango always hit the spot for me so I recommend it if you never had it before.

Overall definitely recommend it if you are in the mood for some Thai food
Our go to place for dinner. Excellent Thai food.
Place was slammed and we didn’t help. Coming back from the solar eclipse and the kitchen was doing all it could to keep up. Manager served us and the food came out tasty, warm, and totally hit the spot. Thank you for finishing off a long day and making our tummy’s very happy to continue our drive back to Virginia.
Pretty bad-to-mediocre food and bad service.
Great food
Execelent place
Tuk Tuk is the absolute best! Tremendous food, great staff, especially being short-handed often times. Highly, HIGHLY recommend it!!
This is one of the best restaurants in the Upper Valley. We just love the new location in West Lebanon!
Unfortunately this was not a pleasant experience. I was by myself and the line was long. The sat twosome after twosome ahead of me saying g a table for on wasn't available, only to sit me at a table for four after a very long wait. It was very crowded and people were waiting in line 45 minutes to pick up take out and 30 minutes before my soup was served. I had to take the entree to go. On the plus side the soup was very good and the waitress pleasant and really hard working. My ad ice? Come only when nobody is here.
So far, my new favorite place for Thai cuisine . An absolute must-go-to place if you're into a hot spicy Tom Yum or some classic Thai noodles. Dessert is unique and tasteful. Waitress delivered with a smile and attentiveness.
Edit: Haven't visited in some time until last month and realized that although the food is still great, I have to say I'm disappointed on the small portion amount you're now given and the prices increasing by almost 6 dollars or more.
Literally our favorite restaurant! Food is amazing and it’s such a local gem. Highly recommend!
The staff is incredibly hostile, rude, and unprofessional. Literally the worst service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. There was a HAIR in my pad thai.
Always delightful.
Wasn't as good as we had hoped. My chicken wings were a bit burnt and the majority of our wontons lacked the filling that they were supposed to have. They were very expensive for the quality of good received.
Great Thai option in Hanover with quick, friendly service.
Best restaurant in town. I get tuktuk like 2-3 times a week
Ate here twice while visiting the area. Had the chicken wings, papaya salad and red curry. Reasonable prices and great service.
Food flavor etc is alright, although I wouldn't say it's amazing. But I've found significant eggshell twice and plastic wrap fragment... maybe it's just their catering but ehhh.
Dream was a fantastic waitress! Her service was warm and friendly. I’ll ask for her every time!!
So far the worst thai in the Upper Valley. Waitress was very cold and seemed annoyed that she has to serve us. When we asked for Hot she replied something like “don’t you dare to return it if it is too hot for you white guys!” Seemed a bit racist. Food was far from perfect. Tofu dish was cold and Spicy Udon noodles smelled of burned oil. Only soup was nice. I will not go there again as there are plenty of alternatives.
Judging by other reviews, expecting arrogant response in 3,2,1…
The place is very nice the music is so relaxing and the people there are so nice 👍🏿 I will definitely go back again
Best Tom Yum soup I have ever had! And the waitress was wonderful!
I love Tuk Tuk!! It’s always a go to when I’m in the area. The food is soooo yummy with decent spice level and always very fresh ingredients! I always get the fresh summer rolls! I love how authentic it is as well. The service is always great. Super friendly waiter the last time I went and everyone is always smiling. The restaurant is in a basement though, so there is no natural light if that’s a drawback for your dining experience.
Best tom yum soup around! The mango curry is easily my favorite meal!
Apparently whoever prepares Tom Yam soup in this restaurant has no idea how the real soup should look or taste. What they serve is a disgrace to all Thai cuisine - basically an onion chicken broth with a lot of chili paste.
The food here is incredible! We ordered a duck special, beef noodle soup, fried tofu, chicken satay, and tom yum soup. They were all delicious. Fantastic caddy of chili oils and vinegars provided upon request for folks who like it spicier.
Best Thai food I've had in the area, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Once you find your way down the alley and into the restaurant, you will not be dissatisfied. I'm excited to explore more of the menu! Thank you Tuk Tuk Thai.
We went had great service food was great as always they were busy but that is the normal for them so they are used to it didnt effect our service nor our food everything was excellent!!!!
Disappointed in TukTuk last night. Servers harried and didn’t really care. Or didn’t have time to care. I think there was just two of them so totally overworked. Just dumped food and hurried away without clearing or making sure we were done with apps. The Pad Thai was not edible. The Penang Curry was really good. The constant chime of orders coming in was super annoying. We probably won’t dine in again. Oh and based on owners response to this review, will definitely not go back. Not expecting to be treated like royalty. Owner is the one overworking his staff and not caring about his/her customers.
Love this place. So cozy and the food is terrific. Worth the small walk to find this gem.
When ordering a delivery order from this restaurant We we’re unable to order by phone
When we did an online order(approximately $150.00), it never showed up When I called 40 minutes later I was rudely told that driver showed up no one was there to receive it and that I was called multiple times
No… ma’am I wasn’t called at all and have my cell phone record to prove it
When I asked if they would return with the order-I was firmly told NO as we didn’t add a tip and we tried to reorder and the woman said NO!!! We didn’t add tip
Truth is, we had collected cash for the tip and didn’t know it had to be added to the order!
The best thing that came out of this Is we ordered PIMS THAI ORCHID AND IT WAS NO FUSS and absolutely delicious
My favorite restaurant in Hanover. The crab fried rice, crispy chicken pad Thai, spring rolls, and wings are so delicious. Next time I'm getting drunken noodles and fresh rolls. Highly recommend! It's such a cute place to eat inside and the staff are generous and sweet.
Great food on the way back from the regional burn!
They are very busy that they missed adding part of the order.
Good tasty food. Vegan options available. Close to the green. Plenty of seating. Food available to go and delivery.
We wandered down, ordered to go, hung out on the green and then picked up our food and had a picnic on a beautiful day. The space is cozy and nice to eat in as well. Drunken tofu was delicious.
You should enjoy the little detours to the fullest, because that's where you find real meaning! On our trip, we found that this place is definitely worth a detour. This food is very good! I will take a summer roll, and eat it! The deliciousness level of this food? IT'S OVER 9000! When I eat spicy food, I'm all fired up!
Yes it is pricier than some would like, but you gotta spend money for good food. One cannot gain anything without sacrificing something. The food was very good and I will gladly come here again sometime. Believe it!
Tuk Tuk used to be one of the better restaurant in Hanover, but their standards have steadily gone down. This is the last time I order from them. It feels as if they've just given up and don't even try anymore.
Update: Wow, the owner of Tuk Tuk seems to have gone off the deep end. I almost never post negative reviews, and I have definitely never been threatened by a business owner for a disappointed review. And he blames President Biden for the failing of his restaurant?! I'm speechless. I hope he treats his employees better than his customers. This is worrisome.
I LOVE THIS PLACE ..the food is constantly delicious
Best and most authentic Thai restaurant in the Upper Valley. Lots of vegetarian options, avocado curry is amazing!!! Always super fresh ingredients too.
We showed up February 3rd 2023 around 3:00 p.m. first time here ordered pad Thai and garlic shrimp. Garlic shrimp is great tofu in the pad Thai not to our liking. The staff seemed very distracted. Update after the location added they are sorry for no rose petals. My comment on the distraction was because the two staff members were chatting up a storm. The distraction was not because they were busy serving hundreds of meals. At the time there were only three tables with a total of 6 adults in the entire restaurant. The two on staff were chatting for about 15 minutes straight with neither of them getting up and doing anything for that 15 minutes. I had to go interrupt them, for the check, because they were not doing their job and waitressing the tables or serving their guests. Also, when we first arrived they started to vacuum. That has to be the worst thing for somebody to start stirring up dirt from a vacuum into the air of a restaurant while there are guests eating.
Great hole in the wall type place. Delicious food and options for Gluten Free and Vegetarians.
Place gets busy and sometimes you may be overlooked, grab their attention and they always are pleasant when helping you!
Fresh Spring Rolls with Avacado are my fav!
Great food. Great service.
They messed up our order. The manager promised a quick replacement delivery. Forty five minutes later, when I called to ask where it was, the manager hung up on me. I will never order from this restaurant again.
Be sure to get a reservation on most nights, but the food is absolutely amazing
We 4 enjoyed the: Avocado Summer Rolls; Yellow Curry with Tofu; Papaya Salad; and Crispy Chicken Pad Thai. All freshly prepared and flavorful, and the service was speedy despite the warning that they are short staffed.
Warm, cozy atmosphere, too.
This used to be my favorite restaurant for the longest time. I wish they raise the price instead of sacrificing the quality of food. I religiously order pad kee mao for years and recently the pad kee mao has fewer varieties of vegetables and the overall taste just became so bland. If I remember correctly there were carrots, broccoli etc but the one I had only had a few pepper. The serving size is a lot smaller as well. I’m very sad for this to happen since there aren’t that many good food options in the area. It seems like you attack people who give honest opinion, since I won’t be back say whatever you want.
Amazing food. Will definitely come back
Great food in general
Delicious pad thai, its like in a dark basement though. Get take out.
Delicious,l’ll go back and eat again
Incredible food, service was very kind, highly recommended!
I happy to eat food here👍 ❤️
I got the Drunken Noodles (I think it was called) and it was so good. I had never tried noodles like this before. I would rather eat those noodles than my grandmother's. But alas I'm part of the gustav gang. The gustav gang doesn't allow me to raise the rating to five stars. If I were a freeman, I would have definitely given it five stars.
Y’all always make my day
Wonderful little Thai restuarant serving delicious and authentic dishes. Service is great and atmosphere and decor are incredible. Will definitely be back!
Just had lunch there today with my elderly mother. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and the food delicious! I live in Concord so can't say I'll be frequenting this charming restaurant which would probably get sick of me if I lived nearby. I will, however, be sure to stop by whenever I'm in Hanover!
Good food and incredible dessert. Came out quickly and didn't feel rushed to eat. Only downside is there is no internet connection down there, but the food is great. Would recommend.
THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY WHOLE LIFE
Most amazing restaurant in Hanover. Best food and service is so kind. Love this place so much!
Great service and great food. I ordered the Pad Fresh Ginger, which had decent portions and great flavor. Highly recommended!
I was excited to finally experience all that I heard about the spectacular Thai restaurant in Hanover, New Hampshire. I had just recently moved here and several people had recommended this establishment. Finally, we were able to come visit and this was my experience. All of the basics were perfect. We were seated in a timely fashion we were waited on our server was very kind and polite and attentive we ordered some items from the menu. I do have a diet restriction and I misread the menu so I ordered an item that I couldn't consume. When I realized my mistake I brought it up to the waitresses attention and she said she would talk to the manager about it and they said unfortunately, because it is on the menu and I made a mistake that they would not replace my meal without charging me for the one I had previously ordered and the new one without even confirming if I was allergic to any of the items in the incorrect order. I'll just leave that with you you can make your own mind up about how people should be treated in a customer based business. And It was cold. Turn the heat on.
Best pad thai in the area!! Quality food and a great place to eat with friends and family.
I LOOOOOOVE the food here! Super yummy and it’s one the few places that makes it extra spicy 🌶
The restaurant is located underground and has really cozy vibes. Good place for dinner!
Food is expensive and not great, there is mandatory tip for over 6 people.
We waited for an hour to get not fully cooked dishes.
Waited for 20 minutes for seats and more than an hour for the dishes. Tom yum soup is cold and bland
Service is not good
Never again
Amazing. I order far too often, but really for good Thai food is there such a thing? The food is fresh and flavorful and they have a great selection for vegans and vegetarians. I spent 4 years in Hanover and Tuk Tuk is a must. I don't think I could stop in without eating Tuk Tuk. Their takeout is usually quick and for dine in they have tasty drinks and good service.
OMG! THE best chicken noodle soup I've ever had! The food comes out hot and fast!
While I have always enjoyed their food, the service tonight was TERRIBLE. I called to see how late we could place an order to be delivered. I gathered orders from my co-workers. Called back prior to the said time and was told they couldnt do it because they were too busy and the kitchen was closed. To blame the liberals (what?!?) But they didnt have the staff. (It had only been 45 minutes since I had called to see how late we could order) Then they said they had a 13 year old answering the phone and he didn't know....again, what!. This was coming from their manager Ken...who is married to the owner Tuk.
Bravo for the continuous and consistent quality, presentation and first class service !!!
Whatever price $$ we need to pay is justified.
And we are coming back, again and again 🗽🇺🇸🇫🇷….
God bless the Tuk Tuk staff.
Food was good and waitress was excellent
NOTE: this is a delayed review. I'm reviewing the restaurant as it existed back in 2016. It's been a while since I've been in the area.
When Tuk Tuk first came to Hanover, it was a complete game-changer and became by far the best Thai food in the area. Probably the best restaurant in Hanover outside of a fine dining place like Pine. Food was consistent and extremely high quality, the food is actually flavorful, authentic (as far as I know), service was good. Perhaps some people could complain about the restaurant being in the basement, but I remember the atmosphere being kind of cozy and anyway you're going for the food which is top-notch. Overall, head and shoulders above most other Hanover restaurants (most of which are thoroughly mediocre) and well worth the slightly premium price. I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants since then, and to date their version of Pad Kee Mao is the standard I hold restaurants to. This is still one of my favorite restaurants I've been to and so I just had to come back to drop a review!
Yummy Panang curry and the best dinner I had in Hanover.
Mind=blown. Amazing thai food that I wish I could bring back with me to NYC. Mango Curry is gonna change your life.
Great food and atmosphere. Craving Thai food again.
Really good Thai. A bit strange basement restaurant but food was authentic and service was fast
A very friendly place that clearly has followers, for we kept hearing a lot of regulars coming in to chat with the owner as they picked up their orders. I was torn between a tamarind sauce and curry for duck (I just knew I wanted duck), and I was assured that the curry was good. And yes it was. My wife had an assortment of appetizers, all of them quite tasty. I was almost taken aback by completely vegan summer rolls (not even seafood), but the peanut dipping sauce won me over. And the pork dumplings were quite delicious.
Tiny little place, underground with an entrance in an alley. Hard to find, but worth the effort.
Even when busy their service is great and the food doesn't lose quality the busier they are.
Great quality food! They must use all organic ingredients although they don't advertise that.
My son and I came in from Dallas to check out Dartmouth. On our last evening, we decided to give TukTukThai a try and that was the best food choice we made the whole time. This food is excellent, made by people who know the food, as spicy as you want it to be, and so so good. In fact, we came back for lunch the next day before our flight from Boston back home. Highly recommend!! We had: potstickers, Pad Kee Mao, Thai Hot Fried Rice, the specialty place of duck curry, and green chicken curry. We may just fly back to eat here again!
Tasty, spicy and delicious!
This is one of the best Thai food, I've had in some time. Good portions. I wish there was more rice to slurp up the gravy goodness!
I'm willing to change my route on future trips to NH to go through Hanover, so I can eat from this place.
Nice staff too. They accommodated our party which included 3 young kids. My toddler son loved their spring rolls. :)
I love the noodle dishes and the vegetable dumplings here. I think the vegetable dumplings are utterly magical (edit: as a friend puts it, sinful!). My favorite main is the crispy chicken Pad Thai. I also really like the green curry and the Crab cream puffs, although the latter is, in my opinion, slightly inferior to Han Fusion's Crab Rangoon.
I docked one star mostly because I find it a little on the pricier side compared to similar options in town. Another reason is that the pickup area sometimes feels a little less clean than I'd like.
Edit: updating to 5 stars because they cleaned the place up. Prices have risen, but I also discovered some dishes on the menu that seem worth it. I really enjoy the fresh ginger main dish and the garlic pepper main dish. The sticky-rice based desserts are also really good, and so is the panang curry.
Excellent food usually service is a little slow but given the times we are in it's to be expected. The food is worth it!!
Update to owners reply
As I said it was a little slow, honest review. I also said it is to be expected in these times we are in and the food is well worth it! I have eaten here several times. I was giving you a very good review. On Mother's Day my family recived there meals at least 15-20 min before I did they finished their meals before I got mine we didn't complain at all and I plan to return because the food is that good. People review places so others will know what to expect. So my review was maybe you will wait a little bit but it is worth it. Everyone should have patients when going out to eat people are struggling and we need to understand that, that is all I was trying to say. I did not ask for my meal to be free because I got it much later then everyone else.... I could have left all of this on my first review but didn't because of your somewhat rude reply I am now but guess what, I still will eat at your place because I love the food! Have a nice day.
Do you want to be depressed? Go here. Pad tai with crispy chicken - chicken is jerky tough, noodles have no flavor, just sweet. Came with syrup. So overcooked. Just disappointing for the price, will never go back. Waste of 50 dollars.
Basement style restaurant (check google pics). Food took some time to arrive but I gathered it was due to demand (lots of take out orders). I ordered the basil duck and the shrimp spring roll . Everything was sooooo delicious. The basil duck was crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. Even once full I wanted to keep eating because it was so good. Had a good spice level and the waitress was nice and attentive.
I left this review because the owners responses to the reviews. It’s refreshing to see honesty and a business stand up for their staff, their quality, their prices, and not cower to people complaining because they didn’t get the have it your way Burger King experience. 😂😂😂
It’s clear some of the negative ratings are misplaced and should not impact your decision to dine here. If you’re in a hurry it may be a pass but if you have time on your hands give Tuk Tuk a try. It’s worth it!!!
This is a standout Asian restaurant in the Upper Valley. The food is fresh, the staff are kind, and the place seems to be run by a family. The basement location is a little awkward, but the acoustics are ok (not too loud) considering the steel ceiling. Don't expect to get cel service while in the restaurant! The curries are my favorite dishes here, especially the mango curry which has chicken and shrimp in a mix of vegetables and pineapple and mango. My dad orders Cashew Duck, which is delicious and appears to be somewhat of a specialty for the chef. If you like your food very spicy, the chef can accommodate you, but it may take a few visits before the waitstaff will believe that you really want "Thai hot" and put the order in that way for you.
If you are ordering takeout on a weekend night, be sure to leave extra time before trying to pick up your order -- my order took an hour and 45 minutes last time.
Straight flames
Member of the Gustav Gang here, this restaurant is divine. The food is delicious and reasonably-priced, and such an experience is certainly well worth the short wait. Undoubtedly the best Thai food I've had in my life, you wouldn't believe me if I told you how often I order the Pad See Ew. I've never had a bad experience and I have nothing but good things to say about Tuk Tuk.
Unfortunately, I cannot rate it any higher due to my strong allegiance to the Gustav Gang. If I were a free agent, this review would surely be five stars
Highly unprofessional behavior from the guy (presumably contractor) handing out takeout orders at the front tonight and the 14 year old (maybe his son?) he was speaking to. They were loudly making inappropriate comments about the violence in Ukraine a few feet from the customers waiting for food.
Quality is subpar and very poor service.
Great Thai, love the avocado curry!
Excellent Thai food. We had the red curry and the pad ke Mow.
Consistently great Thai food
Love their crispy chicken pad thai and masaman curry! Total comfort food!
Some logistical problems with customers picking up orders but otherwise most agreeable.
Kids love the Scallion Pancakes and Pad Thai. We like the Curries and Basil Duck. It does seem like the portions have gotten a little smaller over the past few years, but still a decent value.
Who knew you can find such amazing Thai food at Hanover!? My friends and I were visiting VT and decided to drop by Dartmouth campus. Just so happened to pop in here for lunch and all of us were so blown away by the quality Thai food here! We got a wide variety of dishes and all of them were prepared well and so flavorful. We especially loved the spiciness of the dishes! I think the only minor complaint from our group was that the Thai Iced Coffee basically tasted like all sugar and no caffeine. Friendly staff and good service too. Overall great experience. If we went to school here we'd definitely hit up this restaurant all the time!!
Horrible customer service - food was decent. My husband and I ordered $100 worth of food online and when we checked out, it said it would take 120 min to be ready.... for pick up??? He then drove from West Lebanon to Hanover to cancel the order. Once he arrived and explained the situation, he was met by the owner who SCREAMED at him that "he wasn't getting any special treatment" and "they can't tell when orders will be ready". Clearly, there is a staffing issue, or this continues to be a Covid trend of poor customer service... either way, won't go back.
*EDIT* My husband also called 6 times before leaving and on the way which is why he cancelled in person. He had started to explain the situation and was met with belligerence from the owner. As you can see from his comment below - taking responsibility for his actions and the way he runs his business isn't a concern. Buyer beware.
Ordered Basil fried rice and Pad See Ew. Amazing taste!
Each time I visit my home in Lyme, I have a number of meals at Tuk Tuk to see my friendly waitress Nataitai. One of my meals I preorder Lobster Garlic or Soup Thai style. Hostess Pam picks out the special order lobster. This night she had a real Lobster surprise Large Garlic Lobster and a Chix Lobster Soup. Wow. Other delicious meals include chochee Duck and Curry Ravioli. They are the best. Nataitai mixes a great Maitai. Thank you Tuk Tuk in Hanover New Hampshire. Until next time. You are the best.
Great food great service. Spicy papaya salad is something to remember. Pad thai and masaman curry was good choices but red curry was the best.
Consistently excessively long wait times for pick up. Formerly pleasant staff now short and rude about wait time. Has happened many times. Will not continue to come to this once decent establishment. Why have overly ambitious predictions of pick up times and have 20 people stuffed in the tiny entranceway during a pandemic?!? Absurd. Scata!!!
I absolutely LOVED this place! This food was amazing! The ambiance was chill & cool. Fast service. I met the owner and she was so sweet, very hardworking & passionate. She told me there was a rumor going around about the place claiming they discriminate & I have to say that is a complete lie! This place feels so down to Earth. In today's world rumors spread like truth & can be harmful so I wanted to write a review praising this place and saying that as a woman of "color" I felt perfectly welcome!
Green curry rice taste better than other dish
Always delicious food! Curry is amazing and crab puffs amazing as usual.
Food was tasty, well portioned. Seating and flow were suboptimal due to dining space constraints. Needs improvement!
Great Thai food. Slow service, but understandable - they are very busy.
