Absolutely adore ThaiThai! The boba thai tea was sweet but not over the top, nor was it too bland! The garlic pepper chicken is great. Basil chicken is FABULOUS & my absolute favorite! Everything we've had to try so far has been wonderful. Even the simple cucumber salad is flavorful!! The people who run this place are amazing & so wonderful to their customers! I'm happy to have found a great place i keep returning to! Give this place a try if you haven't already!

The Basil had been our go-to for takeout in Carson. On a whim and out of convenience, I tried ThaiThai. I ordered our usual thai favorites: fried rice, yellow curry, pad see ew and pad thai. My picky eaters liked this better and when I discovered the curry puffs I ordered were forgotten , I called and the customer service was cheerful and over exceeded my expectations. They instantly refunded the item, offered to bring them to me, and also said next time I order they will include them for free. This is our new go-to for takeout!

Great, fresh boba Thai/milk tea, the curry fried rice was great and a nice hint of spice. The dining area is really awkward though. Hopefully they fix that. Definitely a lot of potential.

Came back today 7/20/2024 and service was slower than most places but it is owner ran. The owner tried to make conversation which is appreciated! Had the fried rice, duck over rice, crab Rangoon was fantastic and spring rolls with tofu. You can definitely taste that they make it fresh!

It is a little cluttered In walk In but the food was great, and so is the service they ask all questions that you don't usually ask about but want.

The chefs/owners/servers are very kind. They, husband and wife team, will adjust your dish to your own personal health and diet requirements. It does take a little time to wait for our food, but that is because our food is being freshly prepared. I do highly recommend this place, the food is delicious.

Weird place. Arrived at 810pm. Was told only cash. So went back to hotel and got cash. Sat waiting because greeter was talking to Uber eats Delivery person but I wasn't in a hurry. Five minutes pass, it's 825pm. Greeter asks to go or here. I say here. Then she says we close in two minutes. Sign says open. Hours say until 9pm. I ask her so you're no longer serving because your kitchen is closed. She smiles and says yeah. Sign says open five minutes after I left restaurant because I parked out front and was looking for another restaurant to eat at. I still have questions. Weird place. One star review. Ended up at Wendy's instead. Weirdest thing all day. (Good day, but weird ending).

I haven't ever had bad food or bad service at Thai Thai. I've introduced friends and everyone loves it. The gentleman who I believe is the owner does more than above and beyond. Every dish is more than a value for the amount & cost. The only "negative" thing I could say is I wish they were open all the time but everyone needs time off. One of my favorite Thai restaurants, and it's safe to say one of if not the best restaurant in carson city.

Racist and tip hungry-

We visited this place around 745 on thanks giving and it was suppose to close around 830 due to festivity.

He told us to order only few things only due to time constraints. We tipped 3 $ and he told we south Asian people are stingy and don’t tip much. To inform who reads we ordered only a chicken fried rice

Also he showed bad signals to go out, this was total nonsense and we were shell shocked.

Please avoid going to this place if you don’t tip less than 10$

Me and my family came by this place because we saw it while wandering the Carson City mall not too long ago. So we finally got to try it and it was absolutely amazing. We were a family group of 7 people and there were already full tables too when we arrived. Echo was wonderful and so helpful and his personality made us all smile. Not only was his service so good, but the food was the best Thai food we've had in the area. We will definitely come back and look forward to hearing more of Echo's stories and share more wonderful food. Thank you so much 🙌🏼🥰

A fantastic place for Thai food. Come into the mall entrance and there is the seating. The food was amazing and the service is top notch. This is our new go to for Thai food in Carson. The ultimate bonus is how they are more than happy to accommodate Vegan/Vegetarian. Once we ordered soup, when we mentioned 2 of us were Vegetarian he immediately went to the cook to stop them. Telling us the dishes we ordered contained oyster sauce. They changed it to soy sauce and it was delicious. We've had conversations we're they explained they are delighted to give us amazing food with no animal products. Amazing place and amazing people.

The food is fresh and delicious. It's well prepared and presented. You can taste and see the attention to detail in the textures - the way the veggies are cut, cooked and presented - it's great.

Tried dining in, but they don't let you in the restaurant. Only allow you to eat at tables they've set out on the floor inside the mall. Even when the restaurant is empty. Is it real Thai food? No. The quality is something that is a variation from a Betty Crocker cookbook. (This is coming from a person that lived in Thailand for over a decade.) Forget about refills or extra napkins or anything else... Once they take your order, and eventually bring you food, you'll never see them again until they want you to pay the bill as the employees hang out inside the restaurant (where you are not allowed) chatting with each other.

The food here is absolutely amazing. It fills your belly and your soul. The only thing that tops this filling soul food are the incredible owners.

Normally a great place to come with very warm and welcoming staff. However on this occasion the place was filthy with literally every table being dirty and no place for me and my child to sit. On top of that the owners were screaming and yelling at each other. May rethink my next visit here.

The food quality was not good. They opened a Thai restaurant but they don't know what is thai fried rice. However somehow I managed to order a fried rice with egg and chicken. The quantity was very less and taste was not good. Very few small chicken pieces and eggs with uncooked onions and tomatoes.

We went in for lunch, Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai... small servings, and it was tasteless... the green tea was cold, it was a gamble, we lost... won't be back. Very disappointing.😟

The food was amazing. We really enjoyed the spring rolls and pad Thai and pumpkin curry and there sweet sticky rice was delicious. Not only was the food amazing the owner was the most sweetest person I've met, he gave great suggestions and was great to talk with. I give it a 10 out of 10 and will definitely be returning .

We were a bit apprehensive as the restaurant was empty but we decided to give it a chance. The servers only spoke Spanish but had reassured us that there was a Thai chef in back. Blatant lie. We ordered two orders of Pad Thai noodles along with other dishe. Upon presentation it did not look anything like any Pad Thai I have eaten or prepared. I am from Hawaii and know how Pad Thai should look and taste. It was soggy, brownish color and swimming in some kind of liquid. Our party of five took a small portion to taste,hopeful that it tasted better than it looked. It was terrible! I went to the server and informed her of our disappointment. She proceeded to take the dishes away. When we received the bill we saw that they had charged us for the Pad Thai. The restaurant was also not clean in appearance and did not have a working bathroom.

The food is good the service it’s fast the Thai tea it’s great .but they have a huge thing it’s seem they don’t clean it’s bad and the worst thing I was hearing they don’t have nothing to do 😑

The food quality was terrible. My curry sauce was broken and clumpy as it had been reheated in the microwave. The shrimp had a terrible smell and taste like it was old. Weirdest thing is they sat us outside in the hall and closed the door once guests arrived. They were sitting behind the counter inside the resturant with the older lady sitting there just rubbing the younger ladies back as we waited. It was a very different experience. Won’t be back.

Amazing food! The owners (husband and wife) are such amazing people. They work hard to meet their customers expectation! Please be patient as there are no extra workers. We walked in late around 8:23pm almost closing hours. Kong and Panida took our orders (khao soi, chicken satay, and tofu spring rolls). Khao soi usually takes a few days to make, but Panida made it so delicious within 40mins. We ate dinner with both owners and had an amazing time. I recommend this place to anyone traveling or lives near or in Carson City. If you’re out of town, I recommend call in advance.

My wife and I had completed some ordinary D.M.V. transactions which took about three hours to acconplish. We made an impromptu decision to eat in Carson City before our 35 minute drive back home. By pure chance we ventured into this somewhat inconspicious Mexican restaurant; and we were most pleased with our menu choices, as well as with the pleasant personality of the man who served us. Very possibly, he is the owner. I don't know. His personality certainly added the our most pleasant dining experience. We will continue dining there as everything was very good.

The owners are the staff. Husband waits the tables and the wife is the chef. Excellent Excellent food.

I went there the other day and a wonderful gentleman served me. Was so kind and loved my experience. Just went there today to get some bobba and they said they were closed and not taking anymore orders! The site says they close at seven and it was only six. I get it people are tired but it sucked to drive all the way out for them to be supposedly closed an hour early when their sign is still on ://

I'm from the Bay areas and I was just looking for something to eat after skiing, when I was really pleasantly surprised by the food at this restaurant. Their pad thai is kind of unique, the duck curry was pretty good and the crab curry was something I never tried before. The service was a little slow and seating modest, but SF quality authentic thai food!

The food was fabulous and tasted better than most of the restaurant in San Francisco. The food was very authentic and very much reminds me of Thai land. When we were finishing up the owner came and started to speak with us and he was hella funny, talking about how he but shrimp from the Reno pier which of you didn't know Reno is land locked

So, my back is out and I can't move, so my husband ordered me a Pad Thai with extra chicken to go. When he brought it home, we noticed that there was not only NO extra chicken, but there was barely any chicken period (just small shards of chicken). Not only that, but there was barely ANYTHING in the pad thai. It was basically noodles with flavor. Now, they were extremely scrumptious, but we paid for something we didn't get. We've order from this place several times and it's always been great. Today- we were left HIGHLY dissatisfied and disappointed.

I ordered take out green curry tofu and eating it at home I realized it contained chicken, not tofu. I returned to exchange it for tofu, that didn't go over so easy. The host argued with me that I ordered chicken, I have never ordered chicken anything at any restaurant ever, I don't eat meat. She did confirm tofu over the phone. After a few minutes of this exchange, they decided to make me green curry tofu. I tried to explain to the woman that I don't eat meat when accepting the fixed order and wasn't happy about a mouthful of chicken. She turned and walked off during this interaction, she had no cares. Upon returning home I saw the container filled to the same amount I brought in, 3/4 full, I didn't bring in a full container because I dumped the chicken curry served in my bowl. How amazingly petty! I get a mouth of chicken and then get cheated out of a full order of curry. I get there are communication errors in the kitchen, it happens, but to double down and just argue with a vegetarian that I ordered meat was a joke. In the end after much thought I realized I made a mistake going there and trashed the tofu curry, I didn't trust them enough to eat it. I was really looking for some nice Thai food after a four day road trip, I sure went to the wrong place.

tl/dr: If you have dietary restrictions such as soy, animals, dairy, nuts... I am not sure you can trust this place. They simply do not care.

This used to be a go to spot. Now the food quality is very inconsistent. I continue to get dishes with no flavor or sauce. It has been served times withthe dishes just plain noodles and toppings. It's no longer worth the price or the wait time. If they can bring back flavourful consistent dishes I will come back but this was the last time I'll order noodles can receive dishes with no seasoning.

It's alright, but very disappointing. I'm not really looking to have nice women from anywhere but Thailand cooking my Thai food. I guess it works in a pinch of you're not willing to drive to Reno.

I love Thai food so we went here. The server was nice and the place looked ok. The Pad Thai was yummy- everything else was meh. The Yellow Curry chicken lacked flavor (had a lot of onions, 3-4 slices of small chicken, 1 potato) I had to ask for Jalapeno (which was also bland). Hubby like the Teriyaki Chicken but it was just ok for me. My issue with this restaurant is they charged us differently from what the menu they gave us to order from. I only realized the charges were off when we got back to our hotel so I called the restaurant. They told me the cost was for dinner time. There was a language barrier so we went back and forth and told them they need to make sure that they provide a different menu (Dinner Menu) with the correct pricing to avoid frustration from customers.

Will definitely NOT come back here or refer this spot to anyone. $4.50 for Thai Tea? A $3.00 difference for a Pad See Ew if order for LUNCH and DINNER, NO THANKS! NEVER AGAIN.

Truly a hidden gem. While other restaurants turned us away at 7:45, Thai Thai took the time to serve us until after 9pm. Owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about cooking, and will share authentic food tips with you. Food was delicious.

Legit Thai food.

I was frustrated after ordering because on the menu it clearly states that peanut sauce noodles are 13.95 if you order chicken or beef and 15.95 if you order duck or shrimp. I ordered beef and she charged my 15.95, when I pointed it out and showed her on the menu that she was wrong she did nothing to fix it and insisted that beef was an extra charge. Please have your menu reflect your pricing! Food was okay, not the best thai i've had and did not offer spice levels.

Placed an order for take out. Very disappointed with the meal. No veggies what so ever in a dish that typically have them. Sauce was very soupy.
Noidkt dish had too many veggies and hardly any noodles. On top of that, it was burnt.

The food wasn't that great, and lacked fresh vegetables. The service was very slow as well. Would not return. Another Thai restaurant in downtown Carson - Basil - is much better (although they are not open Sundays).

Great little locals place that knows how to make food spicy. Good lunch specials. Tried green and red curries for lunch, good everytime. Nothing exceptional, consistent quality and service though.

Food was good but the place had an odor

Drunken noodle was good. But the ka pow was salty and drab. Lots of onions. The decor was cafeteria-esk. They were shorthanded so might be worth another try.
