Casual strip-center serving classic Thai eats & pho with beer, wine and limited spirits.
Drove over an hour to try this lovey Thai restaurant. Nice all around will return! We had the Pad Thai, it was good. (Mild pictured) Spice options are mild, med, hot, Thai hot, and “make me cry”… It was Tasty with plenty of sauce and my “make me cry” did wake the sinuses some but didn’t shed tears. Perfect for me.
First timers and it was better than expected! I guess we thought it would be a quicker, more casual dining experience given the outside appearance in a strip mall. We were pleasantly surprised to find you actually get waited on and it was a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately we were seated in a separate room from the majority of guests because they were full and a couple of empty tables hadn’t yet been bussed, so that made for a little bit different of an experience, but service was still great. Jackie was extremely friendly and seemed to enjoy her job.
We had calamari for an appetizer which was pretty good and great dipping sauces. We had chicken & rice soup to start which was also good. The sesame chicken & drunken noodles dishes were tasty and we’d definitely get them again. Their mild spice level was still pretty spicy. Their vegetables could’ve been softer and more seasoned. I’d say that was the most disappointing part.
Appreciated that the meals came with soup or salad and two small crab rangoon. Good portions of food for the price.
Overall, a great experience and we will be back!
The crab rangoon appetizer was not like ones I’ve had before (they were pretty small), but very delicious! For an entree, I got the chicken pho and my partner got the Honeymoon chicken which was also pretty good. The atmosphere wasn’t anything super crazy, but it was nice and my Thai tea was also very good
I happened to be in the area and was craving Thai food. I decided to stop by this restaurant that I had noticed for a few years but never had the chance to try. The Thai iced tea was delicious! I ordered the Siam rolls as an appetizer, but I was not particularly impressed. There was an excessive amount of lettuce, and I found it disappointing that they were cut up instead of being kept whole to maintain their freshness. I would appreciate it if the amount of lettuce could be reduced in favor of more cream cheese and shrimp. Cutting them up caused the wrapper to dry out.
The red curry with chicken was good, but it could have used a bit more flavor. I should have asked for the spice tray to enhance the taste.
I intend to return and try other entrees on the menu.
Service is fast and friendly, atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and intimate, price is very fair, and the food is absolutely amazing and flavorful!! They have the BEST Siam rolls!! Easily my favorite restaurant!!

Best Thai in Lee’s Summit hands down!!!

Really good food
We have been eating here for many years. Have enjoyed everything about the place, but it seems just recently they must have changed cooks because the food is noticeably different.
Went here for the 1st time and the food is sooo good! They staff was super friendly and the restaurant looks very clean as well as relaxed. They also have some delicious adult beverages!
Good local Thai restaurant. The seafood curry was flavorful without being hot. Good flavor.
Been coming here for at least 5 years the service is amazing the food is always hot and tasty. Best time is to get there before the lunch rush
chefs kiss! i will drive from st. louis for this thai if i have to! loool best ive had. been coming here for YEARS
they water down the currys some times not worth the money
Authentic Thai food
I had the Fried Rice combo and it was delicious!!
Food was great, went during lunch hour so it was busy with a small staff but food was amazing
Good food and atmosphere
Food is awesome!
Incredibly nice staff. Best Thai food around. Definitely get some appetizers
Nice quiet place for lunch. The did tasted great and good service .
Tried some new sushi and it's was amazing.
Excellent as usual. Get the crab rangoon, everyone in my family goes crazy for it.
Tried to call and place an order and the phone went to voicemail so we went in to order. It was decently busy but there were only 2 people working. We waiting 35 minutes for our take out order. I had to ask several times after already waiting 25 minutes only to be ignored. Finally was brought out after 3 people who ordered after us got their food. Will not go back.
Very good food, very good service, and very clean!
Freshness of food, delicious, large portion, nice friendly service! Cozy. Loved it. I'm coming again.
Some of the best Thai food I'm Lee's summit.
Lunch is reasonably priced.
Dinner is not
The woman that took our order was very nice. Great customer service and the Thai chicken fried rice was amazing.
Good Thai option for dinner or lunch. Older place well established. We will return.
Very good and friendly service. The pad Thai and fried rice was excellent. As far as heat they have mild medium hot and Thai hot... i do not thing i could do Thai hot, the hot was plenty of heat.
We love Thai food and hands down Thai spice is our favorites.
We gladly drive 30 minutes to get this food.
The crab rangoon appetizer was not like ones I’ve had before (they were pretty small), but very delicious! Anyone else have an issue with the manager working here? She helps certain tables but when I go inside to get my food every Friday she stares at the people waiting to be helped and just stands there doing nothing. The other worker are great though!
Love their sushi. Absolutely HATE that you can't use their reward system.
Ordered at 5:20pm went to pick it up around 6:30pm because we never received a text just to wait another HOUR for them to help me. Was told our order got lost and it would be right out. Took another 20 min so finally got the food around 7:40pm. So ridiculous. They need to care about their online order as much as their diners. Ginger was spoiled.
Always amazing but every time I order it seems they cut the portion of food. Not worth the money.
Food was decent. Red curry was sweet. There floors were so sticky!
We have been in the hunt for good Thai. After lots of searching and reading reviews, we found this little restaurant right here in Lee’s Summit. The food and service were phenomenal. We both ordered Chicken Pad Thai and it was one of the best we have had. Definitely one of our go to restaurants.
Good food good customer service
Really inconsistent food here. Sometimes it’s great sometimes it’s terrible and clearly reheated/microwaved. Sometimes it’s very spicy sometimes it’s bland. For the price you pay here you should never be getting reheated food and it should be more consistent.
Great food, great service, good prices.
The pad Thai and black soy noodles are amazing. Service is great as well. Well worth a visit
The wonton soup is very good and we will definitely be ordering that again. The pad Thai is good but not great
Pretty straightforward, great food
Ordered massaman curry...worst ever. Straight broth carrots and chicken. Hardly any of at all coconut milk. Not creamy at all. Second time that this poor attempt at a curry. Not consistent at all. Used to be a good.
The food is always great. It is always clean and the servers are so nice
Always great service and amazing food! This is our favorite place for lunch.
Wasn’t a fan Pad Thi until I ate here!! Ordered online 2 meals for us, was worried about quantity and quality of food.
When I got there they greeted me with a nice smile, food was fantastic we loved their signature fried rice and Pad Thi. Medium spicy was a bit spicy for us but still was good. Portion was great we had lots of left overs.

Been coming here for years and the food and service never disappoints. Absolutely a 10/10 experience every time
Amazing foods 😋😍
Love this place I did take out and I’ve eaten here at least 9 times and it’s always good. My family are picky eaters and they have something for everyone. Fresh and consistent.
Very tasty selection of a variety of dishes. Sushi was very fresh and tasty. The Black Soy Noodles were our favorite.
Deliciously fresh prepared food , and they have food on the menu that’s in- spicy

I had Seafood I believe it's called Thai Paradise with a coconut broth I had it soup like with a side of rice with it comes green Peppercorns on a branch that just changes the whole flavor! We had Thai iced tea and Thai coffee Jackie our server was prompt and memorized or order before we knew it we were enjoying panang and my Seafood coconut meal! Sure wish I got pictures of it, it was gorgeous! Dinner does have bigger portions than the lunch menu... out of all the Thai restaurants I've gone to in these three towns this one is the one I choose to go to every time! If you want white tablecloth linen type service on the seven in the Popeyes parking lot is another restaurant that's a t h a i more romantic! If they ask you if you want hot mild or medium ask to have the liquid oils brought by for you to sample how hot you want it! This tip is very important!! The water is good at this restaurant I got it without ice and it didn't taste tainted! Enjoy!!
Middle of the road experience. They had a beer marked Japanese when it was Canadian. Food was alright but pricy.
Great food...
Food was great, atmosphere is great, service could have been better but they are having issues keeping people working front of house it seems like. Other then that we'll be back
Delicious food, and very nice service!
The food was amazing!!! The presentation was wonderful! The service was not great, we were forgotten about. Sat for quite some time before someone came over, they forgot my drink, and we had to track someone down to get our check.
The food here is very good and priced fairly. The Pad Thai was not too spicy and Tiger beef was delicious! Also the portions were sharable, I will definitely be going back soon.
The food was delicious. Not used to a Thai restaurant serving Pho but the Pho was so amazing. If you're getting it for dinner, it will serve at least two meals.
We dined in and have been there 4 times. Each time has great food. Healthy portions and service was great as well! One of my favorite places for Thai!
Our favorite "GO-TO" for Thai cuisine! Why? We enjoy the flavors in ALL of the entrees and appetizers. Having dined here many times over the last ten years, we can honestly attest that both the service and preparation of food are consistently excellent. They also customize the spiciness of dishes to your liking, and they do so better than any other Thai restsurants where we have dined. Plus, they accommodate special requests, such as for dietary needs (no seeds) or just wanting some oranges slices to squeeze onto a dish.
So delicious! Curry is impeccable, kids love the sesame chicken. Service is fantastic, always ask preference for spice level.
Their food is always so delicious!
Great food and highly recommend trying everything
Always great.
My first Thai experience and it won't be the last! The food was so good and very quick to our table. Our server was so insightful. I ordered a side salad with my lunch and asked for it without dressing. Without prompting, she delivered the salad with the peanuts on the side, as she considered that I have a peanut allergy. I was so grateful for her thought process as I didn't know the salad had peanuts on it! Highly recommend for flavor and for service!
Pricey, but the family really likes their food.
Hard to beat! My fave. Thai in Lee's Summit! The people who run this establishment are also some of the nicest people I've ever met! Peace and Jackie are some of the most kind and caring people we've ever known!
We LOVE LOVE LOVE Thai Spice in Lees Summit! This location has our all time favorite Thai food ever AND delicious sushi. You can't go wrong! But honestly, the service is the best part. We love Peace and Jacqui and all the staff who greet us with so much love everytime we visit. I can't just recommend one dish, because whatever you get will be amazing, but to name a few, their seafood curry is unlike anything else I've had and has set a high bar for me. So good. Also highly recommend their pineapple friend Rice, pad Thai and sushi! If you're reading this review to decide whether you should try it out or not, let me save you some time - just do it! You won't find any other Thai this good in the area!
Awesome little Thai spot. I had the chicken pad Thai with a saporro and it was delicious.
My wife and I dined in for a date night. The waitress would not allow my soda to get below a quarter cup. Service was exceptional and the food was superior to most Thai restaurants in the area. I would go back.
Everything here tastes so fresh and delicious, you can't go wrong ordering anything off of the menu.
Placed an order online and marked it for 5:30 when they opened at 5. It won’t let you order at 5pm and took them over an hour to get the to go order.
Lots of variety, great service, try the Avocado Bomb. Watch your spice level here though. Couple in our family thought medium spicy was too spicy, but I liked it.
My go-to comfort food. Love their basil fried rice, I'm a creature of habit so I usually always get the same thing, but my roommates also get food from here when I go and they love it too.
So good but toppings are never exactly the same, on the poke bowl recently have been getting avocado and pickled radish, they give you more of the other toppings than the fish. Staff isnt the friendliest, especially the manager. They have a point system online but there is no way to use it since they dont have anything set up yet. Would still rather go here then anywhere else.
Perfect
Always great food at Thai Spice! The service is somewhat hit and miss, but the food makes up for it.
I absolutely loved their sesame chicken. This was my first time eating food from this restaurant, and I will definitely be back.
We've eaten here on more than one occasion. So good. Fresh, flavorful, very attentive and helpful staff. Large portions. We've had a 2 year old with us usually. Family friendly for sure.
First impression is the most important when visiting a restaurant you've never been to before. Mine wasn't great. I will not eat there again. I ordered a soup that was terribly acidic. I order the same soup in every Thai restaurant and this one tasted like a whole lime was squeezed into it. I didn't even eat half of it. My husband's meal was so salty, he couldn't finish it either.
I didn't enjoy the sushi. However, the pad Thai was Excellent.
Never tried Thai food til Thai Spice... Drunken noodles is my favorite and such a awesome place to get some great Thai food...
Servings are huge!
The food is great, but to go is often ready much longer then promised and the promised time is already 45-65 minutes. Waited an extra 30 minutes after the 65.
They do not offer customer services and the menu online isn’t what they offer in store.
We ordered about $80.00 of carryout. The appetizers: spring rolls, wonton, etc, were typical and good, although the wonton filling was skimpy.. The entrees were pretty bad. The sesame chicken salad was literally a soup of warm chicken, a few (3?) shards of wilted lettuce floating in what looked like peanut soup, and 3 chunks of tomato. That's it. Very unappealing and nothing salad like. The drunken noodles entree were dry and clumped. Extremely disappointed.
Beautiful little restaurant that smelled amazing and the food was even better than it smelled. I told our server before leaving 'thank you because this is the first restaurant I've been to in the Metro where there were enough vegetarian options to make deciding what to eat difficult'.
Arrived at 8 and restaurant was closed despite it saying the closing time was at 8:40. Would be nice to have updated hours instead of going out my way to drive to a closed restaurant
Really good Thai food. Lots of close parking. Food served pretty fast. Good service on drink refills.
We came here on a whim and we were bit disappointed. The food was phenomenal with great portions. The staff was friendly and accommodating, came to check on us periodically. I can’t express how good it was!!! Just go and find out for yourself!!
Underwhelming as many of the dishes shared the same dry and under seasoned flavor, which is the opposite of what one is looking for when ordering Thai.
Disgusting!!! Looks like I rated this location 5 stars previously. Unfortunately I have to de- rate to 1 star this go round. One thing I should not see near my food are bugs, and one fell on my food from one of the spices in the spice rack.
This is unfortunate because the food was good but I will not be coming back.
first time eating here and it was great! we will go again.
I absolutely love this place. Fun, friendly staff are always superbly clean, and the food is amazingly fresh and consistent. I have been dining here for 5 years.
While visiting my parents my daughter chose Thai food for her birthday dinner. We had a fantastic dinner with a variety of dishes. Everyone got what they wanted and left satisfied.
The pho is delicious, the curry wonderful but ask for the spice tray if you like heat, and the sushi rolls are creative and freshly made.
Excellent fresh food and excellent service!
So this place USED to be good. But the last 2 times I’ve had them have been a big disappointment. I ordered a pick up order online to be ready at 1pm. I then get a text message at 12:20 letting me know it’s ready. I couldn’t leave work until right before 1, so was hoping the text was a mistake. I get my food and get back to work and we all start eating and the food is barely luke warm…so it had been sitting out for about 45min before I got there to pick it up.
I called and they said they’d remake it for me the next day if I’d like, so I agreed and we agreed to have me come pick it up at 12:30 that day. I get there and they tell me the order is ALMOST ready it’ll be just a moment. 45 MINUTES LATER and I’m finally walking out the door with my food.
Thai Spice is a great Thai restaurant in Lees Summit. I know they are connected to the one in Independence, MO by Costco, but I really like this restaurant the best. The people are always so nice and the food is excellent, especially the crab rangoons. I really enjoy their panang curry along with pad Thai noodles!
Best Thai food I've had in a long long time along with great service. They have gotten to know us and our family and we all love going there!
The service was especially good and the food was delicious.
My new favorite sushi place! The atmosphere is friendly, the service wonderful, and the sushi fresh and delicious!
Food is always great, but service is very slow, whether picking up or dining in.
Food is good, service is friendly, atmosphere is family friendly --we go every few months.
Great spot to dine.
Food great but slow getting food out.
I hardly ever write review unless a place was seriously amazing or in this case, actually terrible. This was my first time ordering from this place and very likely the last time I’ll eat from here. I Ordered the Sesame Chicken to go and was very disappointed in the quality of the food.
There are so many good reviews that I’m starting to question if they were legitimate or fake accounts or paid for reviews. Pay attention to the many bad reviews about this place. This place should not receive your business until they make serious changes in their management and food quality.
I can't praise this place enough
I waited 45 minutes for a carry out order - from online order to actually getting the food it was 2 hours.
Great sushi and Asian dishes
The appetizer sampler went cheap on the ingredient, it uses tofu instead of shrimp for the spring roll. It was a surprise.
While food is not 100% authentic, but it tastes good.
Overall the service is good. Based on the portion of food, quality and service for the price it charges, I still think it deserves a 5-star rating.
Such a wonderful experience. Delicious and fantastic service. The tea is delicious!
Always great food! The sesame chicken, honeymoon chicken, red curry green bean chicken, pad Thai, panang curry, and basically all appetizers are the best! And nice atmosphere too! They have decent sushi on most days too (expect Sunday I think….)
The food was fantastic. The plate sizes are big enough to share, or you can take home leftovers for another meal. The service was great, and they were able to make recommendations based on my friend's eating restrictions. I'm sensitive to MSG but I don't believe their food has any (at the very least, the honeymoon chicken sat well with my stomach). I wasn't a fan of their crab rangoons. However, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat thai food!
Omg I ordered my food Togo and let me tell you ☺️ my food was made fresh and it was delicious .... I had the honeymoon chicken yummy ....and I ordered the mushroom something off of the sushi menu and it was heaven 🤤 glad I tried it out and I definitely will be back 😊
Excellent food
Great food!
The girls at the service counter where very helpful. They also had great conversations with us
Best Thai food around and really great sushi also.
Love this place
I try and get there at least a couple of times a month
I love coming here. Just a nice basic Thai spot. They also have a few options that are not Thai like sushi. The service is usually pretty awesome but it can be hit-and-miss depending on the. But usually it's OnPoint. The food is very good
What a meal!!!!!!!!!
Current review 2/5:
Honestly, I'm kinda disappointed having read my previous review. This place has so many random issues, it's hard to deal with. The service the last few times has been super slow, and our food came out cold because it sat in the window for 10 minutes+ according to our waitress. Today, there was moldy cabbage on our tray for our appetizer. Absolutely nothing was done about it. No apology. No refund. No remake of the food. Just disappointing all around.
Previous review 5/5:
This was WAY better than I anticipated! All of the food was fabulous! And the service was awesome too! 10/10 will be back!
Never disappointed at Thai Spice. Go and enjoy. Staff very helpful with suggestions if you are not familiar with Thai food. Staff always ask for your spice level preferences.
Does okay most of the time. The service is acceptable. I wish the flavors were a little stronger. I have never had a bad experience, but I have never left very impressed either.
