The food was incredible, the tea was delicious, and the service was fantastic! Their spice level was true to scale, and the dishes were filled with so much flavor! Great Thai food in Jefferson City! The Tom Kah soup was so good and just the right amount of spice. I had the shrimp and asparagus. A terrific summer time dinner. The gravy is rich and slightly sweet. The shrimp and asparagus were perfectly cooked. No matter what you order for your main dish, always get the Tom Kah soup! You will always be happy 😊

The wait can be long as the waitress was also our chef. It was a bit awkward since that meant the entrees were coming out one by one. The Thai food was decent, but it was evident they used the same sauce for multiple dishes. The soup tasted a bit on the salty side and the rice was slightly dry. However, the portion and price are very fair.

Such great food I even ordered some Pineapple Fried Rice to go for a late night snack later.

I always saw this restaurant whenever I would make the wrong turn on the Blvd lol but never had the chance to actually stop by. But the other day I went in and I’m 100% glad I did! The service is outstanding and the food is just amazing! I didn’t have to wait long for my food, and even if I did, it would’ve been worth it because the ambiance is peaceful and the staff are wonderful! I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here haha! 10/10 Recommend giving it a try!

Y went to the one down town and ordered the phad Thai and an order of carb Rangoon. The Crab Rangoon was really good however my “glass noodles” where not cooked completely they were still very hard and crunchy.

My first time eating at this place and I absolutely love it

We cater our lunches with Sawaddee and we love it! We usually get a pan of Pineapple Fried Rice and Phad Thai plus appetizers. We love how customizable the meals are! It makes it easier to satisfy the staff, even the gluten free and vegetarians. They have more staff there these days and they are so sweet and getting food out quicker than ever!! They always make us feel like family . I died tonight when my wife asked for 10/10 hot. Said it wasn't hot enough so they brought her extra seasoning . Lady comes out of the kitchen to check in and makes my wife get up and wash her hands because the seasonings she sent out are dangerous! And she used her hands to sprinkle more on! Best giggle ever. Wife's sinuses agree fantastic plan:)

Such a quiet, great little place. The food was delicious and the owner/ server was nice and accommodating.

While the food at Sawaddee Thai Cuisine is very good, their people skills and customer service are severely lacking.

Today, after several instances of this happening, I decided to give them one more try and order food to go/delivered.

I ordered the food at 12:00 PM CST. It is 1:24 PM CST and the delivery driver waiting for my food is the one messaging me and apologizing profusely for the delay.

She stated upon asking about the order (which is 15 minutes past it’s ETA) the woman laughed in her face and refused to answer her questions.

This is not the first time this has happened, and it has happened with several different orders different people were picking up.

If THAT’s how you want to run your business, you’ll be losing customers. 2 hours waiting on 1 noodle dish and 1 rice dish is ridiculous. And refusing to answer a customers questions and laughing at them is atrocious.

Do better.

Best authentic Thai food since leaving California. If you’re looking for authentic, this is definitely the place to go. We will definitely be back.

Amazing curry and other dishes! The ragoons are the best I've ever had. You may have a bit of a wait at this location since it's usually just two people working but this food is worth waiting for. This has become a weekly dinner option for sure!

Duck red curry and rice soup tasted decently good but only like one step above average food of this type. Little underwhelming for the price. Very very very little meat given in both of these.

Food was pretty good, the crab Rangoon was yummy.

If I could put zero stars I would on this review if you want Thai food go to the one by the capital building, while I was here(for doordash) I waited 40 minutes and there was not a single person that got the right order and there was a couple beside me that got their curry cold and said it felt like it was in the refrigerator

Excellent Thai food. This restaurant has great choices. On most dishes you can choose tofu, veggies, chicken or beef and level of hotness.
I got pumpkin red curry with veggies level 2 hotness. My husband ate the Cashew Sweet and sour with tofu level 5 hotness. Our family ordered Pad Thai and Thai Fried rice. All dishes had super fresh veggies, rice or noodles

Edit: the last few times I've been here they were very shorthanded, even though the food was OK. One person working the entire restaurant front and back, and if you order on door dash they don't make it until you get there and ask for the whole order over again. You certainly can't make it in and out on lunch hour.

Old review: Always amazing. The calamari is thick sliced and generous portions. Soups and curries are really good, and everything is made to YOUR desired spice level.

My sister and I had dinner there last night. The food was very good, and the sitting area was very clean. The Pumpkin Curry is my new favorite.
There was one lady trying to do it all, she was really busy, and she was working as fast as she could.
Please be patient.

I’m struggling as to why such good reviews- both the phad Thai and Phad see ew had basically the same sauce and the egg was just fried for both and thrown in chopped. This wasn’t a pleasant Thai food experience at all. I’ve had Thai all over the country and in the kitchen of Thai friends. There was no integrity in cooking this food in my honest opinion. Same sauce. American cabbage instead of napa cabbage. Same with broccoli. Not impressed at all.

A very underwhelming experience for Thai food. Both of our dishes, Rama Noodles and a Rice dish had the same sauce.

Both of them were served in literally 2 minutes, making me think they are sauce/curry ready all the time.

Fantastic food! Great Pricing! On the heat scale they offer 1-10 as a base for the feint of heart. Go Bold! Ask for a 100! It's there if you know what to look for. I sweat non-stop while eating it but by the Old Gods and the New I swear nothing clears your sinuses and feels better than Thai spice which Sawaddee delivers in excellent fashion.

I got takeout for me and my wife. I noticed it in there, but the portions for what we paid were very small and the flavor isn’t as good as other Thai places I’ve been to in Jefferson City

This place has the sweetest lady running the whole joint BY HERSELF and cooked each meal fresh for every customer and in order. My wife and I ordered online and yes, had to wait a bit, but after seeing the tremendous and polite customer service I received, I give 5 stars for this place staying open and serving the same fantastic cuisine!!!

Wasn't sure what to expect with never having had Thai, but was certainly pleased. Will be returning to try more dishes

10/10 would recommend. Had the Fresh Rolls, Green Curry and Black sticky rice. Cannot wait to come back!!

I have never posted a bad review and this one has nothing to do with the food (I was trying to give it a try but that didn’t work out) but everything to do with the service. I ordered from Door Dash which I do often from other restaurants and have never had an issue. I had nothing but issues from here. First, I got a call and was told that they thought someone else picked up my order so they didn’t have it. I understand, things happen, so door dash canceled my order and refunded me. I wanted to try the food so I ordered again.

About an hour later I got a text from a different door dash driver asking if I received my order, I said no. They said the restaurant was under the impression that my order was a duplicate so they hadn’t started it. I said no problem, I’ll wait for the order.

45 minutes later I got a call from a different driver saying that they went into the restaurant and the woman said she didn’t think anyone would come and pick up my order so she hadn’t even started making it. I tried to call and check on the order myself and no one would answer. I called the door dash hotline and they called and again no one would answer so they had to cancel my order for the second time. Two orders and two HOURS later I still have no food. I understand that everyone makes mistakes and maybe they were having an off night, but this is unacceptable. Please do better.

Delicious phad thai with pork! And their pot stickers were luscious, too! They didn't need any sauce, though both hot and sweet were available. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but the food makes up for it. And for those timid folk who are afraid to experiment with food, Sawaddee has a heat scale for all their food - 1 to 10. I ordered my phad thai at a 3, and it was just a little too hot for me. The pot stickers were probably a 2.
The menu explains every dish in detail, so nothing is a mystery, along with pictures of most dishes. The staff are English-speaking Thai people who are happy to answer your reasonable questions.
My friend and I are planning to return to Sawaddee Thai Cuisine to taste something besides the phad thai. We already know /that's/ delicious!

I’m am surprised at the relatively high rating for this restaurant. Coming from the west coast where great Thai food abounds, I can tell you this isn’t it. Hugely disappointed every time I have gone in there. I’ve finally given up.

Freaking awesome. The food portions are a little conservative, but flavor is amazing and the service is quick and kind. Reminded me of being at my grandma's!

They just reopened after a few weeks being closed. I did not think this was near as good as the downtown location. Had high hopes. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken for lunch. Very little chicken and I wanted a mild spice (4) but got one that was closer to a 7 or 8 instead.

This is the place to go to when you want to treat your belly and your tongue to the best hottest food in town. You can get from zero to a hundred and heat intensity index, even at 0 the food is just spectacular. It is Affordable, family-friendly, and the kids will actually really like it. It has a wonderful assortment of appetizers that are simply to die for. I recommend the potstickers, and my favorite is the jasmine rice with your choice of tofu, chicken, beef, or pork. You can also make a combination of two meats for your meal. They have yet to get my order wrong in all the many years that I've been going to both of their locations in Jefferson City.

Always a treat. Amazingly delicious food! You choose the spice level, so if you can't or don't handle spicy well they'll accommodate you.

We didn't stay. The interior looked like a fast food restaurant. It did not look like an authentic Thai restaurant. My wife was not in a good mood. I may return and actually try the food myself, maybe for lunch.

Best Thai food in Jefferson City!

I so want this place to be good, but my experiences here have not been. Despite the 4.3 rating, the food here is terrible, in my opinion. I realize almost no one in JC has had any Thai food other than what's available here, which probably explains the rating

Anyway, I've eaten here maybe six times, total. First time was great, memorable. I had panang curry, it was delicious. Every single time after that has been disappointing. We had lunch here on Monday, 4/29/19. Spring rolls were practically burnt, and arrived long after the entrees. I had a noodle dish, and like every other time I've ordered noodles here, they were chewy and undercooked. The sauce was overly sweet and yet not very flavorful. The chicken in my dish tasted old, the way chicken does if it sits around way too long. I'm too polite to send it back, so we paid $40 for a meal we barely touched. My spouse said the Tom Kha Gai soup was good, fortunately. But I'm sorry, I'm never going back.

Food was amazing. Excellent flavor. I originally ordered my spice to be 10 as I thought that was the max. After a bit of time I noticed the honor wall for spice levels. I requested to change my order to 100, they said no problem and put in that request for me. However, it seemed like there was zero spice to my meal. I asked to make sure it was 100, waitress confirmed it was. I feel like I'm missing something. Guess I'll find out when I go back.

Delicious home cooked Thai food. Quick and very reasonably priced.

The experience here is always great. Good customer service and excellent food. As a vegan I really appreciate that I can order tofu as the protein source in any dish (unfortunately a number of the dishes aren't vegan for other reasons). The staff always give you a choice of how spicy you want your dish so the experience is good for any palette.

Walked in with my infant daughter to have a quick late lunch. The lady tried to order us something I didnt ask for. She brings out shrimp dumplings that are supposedly on special. They are not. They are hard on the outside and mushy on the inside. Ordered beef pho afterwards. Beef was so over cooked it was rubber and there were huge chunks of raw celery in it with maybe half a cup of noodles. But the broth was decent. Lastly, the entree... I ordered Rama noodles with chicken. Again, the meat was so over cooked it was inedible. The sauce was watery and the noodles were all clumped together. The lady serving us told me I was wrong and everyone else likes it so I dont know what im saying. Plus the portion was very small for the price. $26 later for me and a baby. We will not be back and I suggest steering clear. Just our experience though.

I do love curry. This is a wonderful blend of spices, adjusted to your own taste. I started low and now I know exactly the heat level I like. The spicy Thai wings are fantastic! Perfect appetizer, while you wait for your plate.

Authentic Thai food and presentation in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. The food was out of this world and the way it is served is part of the experience. I had the Pineapple fried rice and we got black sticky rice (warm) with (cold) coconut milk on top which was hard to eat quickly. They will ask you about heat 1-10 for your entre. I chose 3 and was thrilled. My husband chose 5 and was impressed. If you don't know about this place you are missing out. Wonderful!!!

First when you walk in the smell is very overwhelming (very poor air circulation). The service is very fast which is part of the issue with the food. The Crab Rangoon is very sweet and the filling is very runny. I ordered the Massaman curry and the best part of the dish is the white rice. The potatoes and carrots were raw. The pineapple is canned pineapple so be prepared for the aluminum taste. The sauce was watered down to the point the flavor and spice were irrelevant.
