Exceptional Dining at Jia – A Must-Visit!

Our experience at Jia was nothing short of outstanding! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for an unforgettable meal. We started with the edamame, which was fresh and perfectly seasoned—a simple yet delightful appetizer.

The sticky Chinese pork was an absolute showstopper! Tender, flavorful, and perfectly caramelized, it melted in our mouths with every bite. The Szechuan beef packed just the right amount of heat, with bold, authentic flavors that left us craving more.

What truly elevated our experience was David, our server. His top-notch attentiveness, kindness, and deep knowledge of the menu made our meal even more enjoyable. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and provided impeccable service with a friendly touch.

If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers phenomenal food and exceptional service, Jia is the place to be! We’ll absolutely be returning for another incredible dining experience.

The honey chicken, Szechuan beef, and cashew chicken were all amazing. They came with steamed rice but we upgraded and recommend the fried rice, but you definitely want to ask for a side of the sauce that comes with the hibachi. The chicken hibachi (wok something) were average and very light on chicken (would not recommend).

Jia Asian Restaurant at Beau Rivage offers an exceptional dining experience. The food is incredibly tasty, from appetizers to entrees, with generous portions that might leave you with leftovers. Expect to spend about $50–$100 for a decent meal. If you enjoy sweet cocktails, the Mai Tai is a must-try. Their house-made sweet soy sauce is perfect for dipping and adds an extra layer of flavor to any dish. The atmosphere is inviting and enhances the overall experience. Highly recommended!

Went here to celebrate a friend’s birthday 🎉 Highly recommended! I would go back for sushi and the Vietnamese Coffee Milk Cake! 🤤

Diner Review №8

We had a blast at Jia. While the food was great our server, Cici, made it over the top. All of her suggestions and her attention to detail made everything over the top. 👍🏻👍🏻

Diner Review №9

Dinner was good. Lunch not so much. There is 1 server that we had both times and honestly not great. I think his name is John. I honestly was just disappointed

Diner Review №10

This is a nice addition to the casino food selection, but I feel like they have a little too much going on: sushi, hibachi, pho... Service was just ok and I would expect more for the $$. The food was good, not great, slightly better than average.

Diner Review №11

There are plenty of on-site restaurants to choose from at the Beau Rivage and this is a great choice. We started with the firecracker shrimp which was very tasty. The restaurant has a cool ambiance, and has a team to refill waters. However, I gave four stars for service because our server passed us multiple times before they “touched the table.” Unfortunately, the server in the section next to us seemed to be a bit more attentive throughout. Overall though, the dinner was nice and tasted great

Diner Review №12

Said had tamari and we ordered sushi. Waited over 20 minutes with sushi in front of us til they found tamari. Ordered gf pad thai. I ordered drunken noodles and they were hard. Waited for very long time for orders and food. Very disappointed.

Diner Review №13

Fabulous sushi and noodle bowls. Our server Stephan was extraordinary.

Diner Review №14

Not the most flavored pho & bun bo hue

Diner Review №15

If you’re staying at Beau Rivage, this would be the place you’d go to for Asian food. Primarily Sushi and Vietnamese Pho I’d say. But the thing that I’d highly recommend for sure is the Blue Crab Claws. It’s not a whole meal but it is definitely a great appetizer. It’s a simple bite size crab claw packed with flavor. Eat it with some of the peppers for an additional kick, if you’re into that kind of thing.

The service is like anything you’d expect from a Casino restaurant but the only difference I’d say is the added “Southern Hospitality” which makes everything much more pleasant.

It’s pretty cool as you can kind of choose your own ambiance. You can either sit at the sushi bar, noodle bar or inside the restaurant. You may have to make a reservation a head of time or you may have to wait as it can get busy.

Diner Review №16

Top notch!!! We have been coming to Buea Rivage for many, many years but never ate at JIA. Not sure why because we love sushi. Our server, Scotty C. was the very best. We ate everything he recommended. It was delicious. We have our favorite servers in restaurants and definitely had his name added as our server from now on. We will be back and he knows what I want next time.

Diner Review №17

Nice staff good food.

Diner Review №18

This place is amazing, great food, service great, atmosphere is very nice. Will definitely be one of our new date night spots

Diner Review №19

I had the “Cumin Lamb” it was more so on the spicy side.
The atmosphere was great! Enjoyed it very much.

Do not remember our server name I believe it “Darrian”. He did an amazing job with being attentive to our needs.

Diner Review №20

With great expectation, we drove over hundred mile yesterday to have Dinner at 5 pm to great disappointment. We ordered Crispy wings, Salt& Pepper Calamari( soggy with really no special taste) and pork and ginger Pot sticker(stale) as starter, for meal we ordered Cashew Chicken(very average), Honey Chicken( very dry hard and and of taste due to fish sauce and Chicken Pad Thai(ok).Total food lacked proper taste and Chinese flavors. Service was snorty and extent rude at one point also plate offered to me was chipped. It was total disappointment for all of us. Please remember having restaurant in a good casino doesn't insure good quality. I guess bad experience.

Diner Review №21

Dry sushi rice (you had one job!) and bland overall. Was expecting real flavor but got served super average food. We sure won't be back. Dining options are shriking at the Beau Rivage ...

Diner Review №22

Food was horrible sushi 🍣 one star 🌟 fish horrible drinks horrible at least the waitress was nice

Diner Review №23

My sister and I visited Biloxi and stayed at MGM Beau Rivage through a promotion. During our stay, we decided to try Noodles by Jia on a Friday evening. Although we didn't have a reservation, the host informed us of a 30-minute wait. Surprisingly, we were seated at the noodle bar within 5 minutes, which was great as we were quite hungry.

Despite the busy atmosphere, our waiter checked on us within 10 minutes. I ordered a soda while my sister had water, and we placed orders for appetizers, soup, and our main courses. The waiter brought our soups and my soda within 5 minutes, but it took about 20 minutes to get our water. Our appetizer arrived 15 minutes after we ordered.

For the main course, I had the Sticky Chinese Pork, priced at $28.88, and my sister had the Korean Tuna Poke Bowl, priced at $38.88. Her dish arrived after about 35 minutes, but mine came 15 to 20 minutes later, by which time my sister had already finished her meal.

While eating my Sticky Chinese Pork, I noticed that the snow pea pods were not trimmed or destringed. Having cooked my entire life, I found this surprising, especially given the restaurant’s reputation and the high price of the dishes. When I asked the waiter about it, he seemed unsure and vaguely replied that he would mention it to the chef. I explained that I wasn't complaining but was curious and just wanted to provide feedback. His response felt dismissive and didn't address my concern directly.

Additionally, our waiter did not refill our water or my soda. I did ask for a drink to go, but overall, the service left much to be desired.

Despite our experience with the waiter, we still tipped 20%. Overall, I had higher expectations for Noodles by Jia and was disappointed by the service and food preparation. However, I must note that the food itself was tasteful and flavorful.

Diner Review №24

I wanted to try something different this time while visiting the Beau Rivage /Biloxi with my friend for my 50th. Let me start by saying I'm not a sushi lover. I, however ordered the Mississippi rolls. They were super good minus the little green fish eggy things they put on top (didnt like that at all). The spring rolls were crispy and delicious, not at all oily. I went back the next day and ordered the crispy Thai wings with sauce on the side and the egg drop soup. The wings were fried to a crispy, golden, brown perfection. They were also seasoned very well. The egg drop soup was hot and delicious. You could tell that everything was made fresh to order. This from now on will be one of my go-to's when visiting the Beau Rivage Biloxi. One of my new favorites.

Diner Review №25

Love it !

Diner Review №26

The place was really crowded and our waiter was working as hard as he could to get to us. When he arrived he immediately got our soup and got our appetizer order. Our food was hot and yummy. Scotty (our waiter) was ultra attentive and great. The food was YUMMY! 😋 I loved it.

Diner Review №27

We loved this place. But something changed between November 2023 and March 2024. My favorite appetizer tasted bland. Service isn’t the same. Once you could book and say it was a special occasion but now they don’t care and don’t even give standard service. Looking back at old photos it seems the lettuce wraps that i loved now don’t come with any dipping sauce which is why it probably tasted so bland. Service depends on who you get. We have had some great servers and some that i begrudged even leaving a tip!!
I wish i could add photos as there is such a difference in standard.

We had reservations for later in the evening but decided to eat early. The main seating area wasn't open yet, so we sat at the bar. The bar had a limited menu but was still worth the visit. Our server was excellent, and it was nice to be able to view the casino floor while we ate.

Diner Review №30

Jia Asian Restaurant was a special treat! My boyfriend and I had a beautiful dinner date and I really enjoyed every moment. Luckily, I was able to reserve a spot for us because of the Memorial Day holiday! The hostess was very nice and friendly as she settled us! Our waitress/server named Tina Marie was very nice and polite. Also, for the first time ever my boyfriend bought me a bottle of wine 🍷 which was a really nice treat 😘🔥🥹 I felt pretty special!!! We ordered appetizers, one 1️⃣ was the Blue Crab claws and the other was their House Ginger salad. Both were really delicious 🤤 As our entrees we ordered the Dragon Sushi 🍣 rolls for me as well as some Spicy Salmon rolls. My boyfriend ordered the Fried Soft-shell Crabs which he really liked! Everything was beautiful and the lighting was great vibes! I really enjoyed this restaurant thanks 🙏🏽 so much Jia Asian Restaurant for the amazing hospitality!

We had the exotic drinks thanks to the MGM rewards.

It was our chance to try lychee and mango in an alcohol mix.

They were good

Diner Review №36

We actually ate here 2 times on our visit as we liked it so much the first time we wanted to come back and try some different things. First visit we sat at the sushi bar and had sushi and pot stickers. All were excellent, sushi was off the charts and made quickly right in front of us. Next visit we went the noodle route, did pho and lo mein and again, both solid choices. Service both times was attentive and there before you needed them. I would consider this a must visit while at Beau Rivage.

Diner Review №37

Best sushi I had so far. Honey chicken was pretty good and the dessert was very interesting. I really like the place. I’ll definitely go back.

Diner Review №38

While we always have a great experience with our server and the food is fantastic, the hostess experience is absolutely pathetic. It is 100% amateur hour every single time we have a reservation. I am not sure what type of training program they go through, but it is not working. We'll have a reservation for a certain time, check in a few minutes before that time, and then wait an average of 20 minutes before being seated. The same thing on this last visit, seats sat empty at the both bars (which were being used for walk-ins) for upwards of 30 minutes, yet we still had to "wait to be seated". Additionally, your texting system needs to be updated. It specifically indicates "we will text you when you table is ready", but the hostess indicated that was not the case. Why? Fix it or don't bother sending a text, not sure how that is not obvious. I am sure no one will read, respond, or address these continued issues with the hostess employees, but you are not achieving the "customer experience" that you should be striving for.

Diner Review №39

I would like to take a quick moment to give a very positive review to the Jai restaurant located inside the Beau Rivage last night. The spring roll & pot sticker appetizer was on point! My Pad Tai was just devine. My wife let me try some of her Honey Glazed chicken & it was simply delicious! Though I can't recall the name of the dessert, the presentation was second to none!

Our server Tina was just a sweetheart & very attentive. Her assistants were also attentive & very pleasant.

I encourage anyone who is looking to try a nice Asian restaurant to go check it out! You will not be disappointed!

Diner Review №40

We opted for the teppanyaki meal with lobster & filet mignon. The meal was excellent, the wait staff was very attentive and our chef did nor disappoint! Great experience overall & we will definitely return when we are in the Biloxi area.

Diner Review №41

The oysters were great! Scotty is always our favorite waiter and takes great care of his tables.

Diner Review №42

On Saturday Dec 9th, we arrived at 6:05 for a 6:30 reservation, I attempted to check-in early, but the hostess told me to come back at my reservation time (6:30) to check-in then. What?! We did as requested, and then did not get seated untill 6:45. No time for us to enjoy a proper meal because we had a comedy show that started at 8:00... Guess I should have made the reservation for 4:30 or 5:00 if we wanted time for a real meal. Then it was 6:55 before we got to actually place our order. We ordered an edamame appetizer, two soups, and one desert... the soups and appetizer arrived to our table at 7:12. Server was very friendly. Restaurant was too LOUD where we were seated in the very back next to a wall near the hibachi table. The desert mochi that I received did not match the description of that was printed in the menu, it was also not very good. After having had this experience, I have no desire to make any future reservations here. My entire Beau Rivage experience was rather disappointing (our room was kinda gross and that has been reviewed separately) only the comedy show we came to see was enjoyable.

The food is AMAZING and service was great. I'm looking forward to my next visit 😋
Try the cumin lamb- THE BOMB!! Fyi, you will have to love cumin. Oh yeah, the portions are BIG.

Diner Review №45

Food was awesome. Strangely enough when we arrived at Jia the restaurant was nearly empty, but I was told there was an hour wait, unless we had reservations. So I went online and made reservations while standing in front of the hostess for that exact time...lol. what was the point of turning us away? The appetizer was served incomplete with no sauce, but we didn't even know until the waitress pointed it out. Honestly the honey chicken was the best chicken I've ever had.

Diner Review №46

Had the Graffiti sushi and fried rice. Very good!

Diner Review №47

Nothing to write home about. Beautful restaurant. The host staff was lackluster and seemed to be put out by being there. The busser wasn't actually cleaning the tables....just pulling dishes and resetting. The sushi staff were goofing around and hanging on their phones and did not seem to be washing hands. Used dirty towels to wipe knife clean while cutting the sushi. The Pho was good. Our actual service from our server was good. Lots and lots of opportunity for management to seize. The restaurant itself is beautiful.

Diner Review №48

Diner Review №49

Very nice establishment inside of Beau Rivage. Staff was cordial, ambience was pleasant and food/drinks were tasty. They have a small hibachi room in the rear of the restaurant should you want the show from the chef. You can also sit at the sushi bar to dine. We enjoyed tuna nigiri and the fried red snapper.

Diner Review №50

I had the Cumin Lamb and it was delicious. However, my wife ordered the Cashew Chicken and the chicken was mushy. She did not enjoy it at all. The service was great though.

Diner Review №51

Warm and inviting atmosphere. Service from Michael was impeccable. Food quality was excellent. Especially enjoyed the spring roll appetizer, filet teppenyaki, and short rib dinner. Was pleasantly surprised by a chocolate "bomb"? dessert for birthday celebration. Would highly recommend.

Diner Review №52

The crispy spring rolls were great. The kalbi beef was very good and was a large portion. I finished with the coffee cake with chocolate dome.

Diner Review №53

Scotty was amazing. We've been to Jia over the years ans always enjoyed ourself but tonight has been the first since covid that we've been. Scotty went above and beyond, had amazing recommendations and an all around great server. We had the crab claws (amazing), Garlic edamame, bubble roll? (Can't remember the name), Cumin lamb (phenomenal), Filet Migon (perfect dish) and the coffee cake. Everything was delicious and the whole experience was the best we've had in a long time. Portion sizes got a lot bigger than we remember so be careful we ordered way too much. Thank you scotty for a great eving and amazing food.

Diner Review №54

Slowest service I have ever gotten from a restaurant. Poor communication skills and lack of respect for anyone waiting on their order. Front desk service needs a whole new team! How do you run out of lo mien noodles and fail to ask if I would like to change my order or substitute the noodles? Instead made it with ramen noodles without asking? I paid $35 for lomien noodles but instead received ramen noodles which was about .29 cents a pack? I do not recommend anyone that does not have any patience to eat here. How does a to go order take 2 hours??? And no one even asked me if I received my order or if I was waiting to be seated.

Diner Review №56

I came here on the account that it was a good Asian place in Biloxi to dine in. The food was pretty good, but I wouldn’t say it was spectacular. However, the menu is very large and there were so many things I wanted to try, but I just didn’t have the room in my stomach to try them. The service was great and the waitress was very attentive with her group. I would come back here again when visiting Biloxi.

Diner Review №57

We enjoyed a most delicious meal tonight. Next time we’ll try the Teppanyaki. Tonight we started off with Egg drop soups and crunchy egg rolls, followed by Beef Szechuan and chicken wok rice. Both delicious. Cindy, our server, was great!

Diner Review №62

This is our 2nd time eating here over a 2 years. The restaurant has been renovated since the first visit to make it more enclosed. The ambiance has changed for the better as far as looks but has gotten worse because the of the noise levels. We had a table for 7 and could not hear the 3 people at the opposite ends all night. The food was very good. We had the steak and potatoes with a side of the shrimp fried rice ( Way to much food ). The food also took quite awhile to come out. Could have been an extremely busy Fri night? Would I come back? Yes but with a smaller party so that I can hear the conversation.

Diner Review №63

Absolutely loved the experience with server Michael. Made us extremely comfortable and the food was out of this world. Definitely recommend coming here while having some fun at the beau! Asked to sit with Michael if he is available 💓

Diner Review №64

One of our favorite places to eat at the Beau. Great sushi and great pho. Wonderful light meal.

Diner Review №65

We ate here for our last night on our honeymoon and it was Perfect! The service was top notch, the food was So yummy (we had the crispy spring rolls and 4 different sushi rolls) and just the over all experience was perfect! The price was alittle more for us because we were celebrating we opted for a whole bottle of wine. Definitely will be coming back when we come to visit again.

Diner Review №71

Save your money, and go 1 mile east to Vung Tau behind Harrahs. If you want real Vietnamese food and adult sized portions, that is. Jia is easily the worst Pho on the gulf coast, I'm sorry I spent my money there.

Diner Review №72

Nice atmosphere, good service, and sadly, below average food

Diner Review №73

Stop by spontaneously by Jia. Has been told by the host that the wait is about 45 minutes without reservation & bar sitting only . I decided to call & make a reservation for a table & boom! 45 minutes we had a nice table!!! Atmosphere & service were fantastic! The only thing that was disappointing is the food. It was just OK. Seaweed salad was good! But you would think that for a sushi roll that costs 16-22$, it will be a super nice roll.. but it was pretty small & mediocre. Not gonna lie, I was pretty disappointed. But the atmosphere, the way the place designed & our server were great!

Diner Review №74

The appetizers were great (crispy spring rolls, valcano roll, and egg drop soup). The scechwan beef was so salt I couldn't eat it. The general taos chicken was not good either. My husband said his steak was good. Overall, next time, I would only order appetizers.

Diner Review №75

Great food, great service!

Diner Review №76

1.30.23- Had dinner with my parents on Monday around 6:30p. There was no wait and the Host sat us at the bar. It’s a smaller menu during the week but food was delicious! Server Scotty was awesome! Gave us some recommendations and checked on us regularly! Chef Oorah was working non-stop since we sat down. Him and Sous Chef Minh was very nice!

Diner Review №77

These people always go above and beyond except the hostess girl who is always very rude. Will blink her eyes at you and sarcastically smirk as she waslks by. She would be better habing to pick up ashtrays at slot machines or cleaning toilets where she wouldn't have to interact with customers. She is the worst! I have contacted management and they don't do anything because she works for the union and THINKS she can get away with it. A very ignorant person in general. Their new pho bar is amazing along with the man that works it and makes all the pho. He is so pleasant. All of the wait staff is very pleasant and the service is excellent once you get past the ignorant host.

Diner Review №78

My mom and I came in here last night around 9:30 p.m. and ordered the Pad Thai. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture. If you're a pasta fan, you'll love this dish! Although it was delicious, I felt like it could use more vegetables and less pasta. 8/10!

Diner Review №79

Waited for 1 full hour for order to go on a Monday night. I could have made my own order to faster and got paid for minimum wage

Diner Review №80

It's been over 10 years since I've been to Jia, I really like the new look. I can't thank Michael enough, he's been so great, taking care of us while ate there. He's gone above and beyond. The food was amazing and the drinks as well. Look forward coming back to try out more delicious food.

I cannot express how impressed I am with this place! The staff was SO attentive, friendly, fast and overall welcoming. The food is absolutely stunning, visually sure, but more so in flavor. I can’t express the depth of flavor and absolute freshness of each bite. Slightly pricey, but more than worth it, I highly recommend trying this one!

Amazing dining at the Beau Rivage! Exquisite flavor in everything we ordered, down to the classic onion soup. Drinks are wonderful! We ordered the Tamarind Margarita & an Old Fashioned. For appetizers, we selected the pot stickers, which were great! For our entree, we ordered the Crab Fried Rice to share - and let me tell you! It is delicious! We also selected the Jia Roll from the sushi menu. Excellent all around and exceeded our expectations! Can’t wait to come back again soon.

Service was ok; location is ok but it is very loud in the restaurant, music was not conducive to dining. Food was sub par—-the sweet potato, & zucchini was cut too thick. Sashimi for 2 was thinly sliced. Overall, we weren’t satisfied with the food, we felt the price for the food does not equal the quality (or lack of it) that was served to us.

The dumplings are not bad but portion too small. The prices are way too high for what you get. Not worth it. The deserts are nothing special in choice. The service is good & atmosphere nice. Much improvement needed in quality & choices of menu.

Diner Review №105

Spent the last 4 days at the Beau Ravage and ate dinner at this restaurant. My friend called and made a reservation for the next evening. When we arrived, they told us that the reservation was for March. They were able to seat us but only after we kindly convinced them. The entire hour or so we were there, there were plenty of empty tables.

When the meals came out, everyone was served but me. They apologized and offered a complimentary cocktail. A lame offer for a big mistake. I did have an appetizer prior to the meals being served but it was not the meal I ordered.

In business, sometimes you should be more concerned with the satisfaction of the customer than the bottom line.

I'll be back to Biloxi in 3 months but we won't eat there.

Diner Review №106

Great atmosphere in the restaurant. Pot stickers were great appetizers. Entrees are large portions. Sushi was good but not amazing. The chiffon dessert was one of the best things I've ever eaten.

UPDATE:
Food is here :)

Original post
Pros: good looking place, nice staff

Cons: See my plate?!?!?
I waited for my table 30 minutes (with a month reservation) and I been waiting for my food for over an hour.

I am sure Biloxi Mississippi has good Asian food somewhere else, so try going there first if you will like a better service and improved food

Diner Review №115

Food is great and there is a wide selection of different sushi and asian inspired dishes. Prices were higher but it's catering to the casino crowd. We got the pad thai (they put it in two bowls for us to split), jia roll, and another roll. Drinks were tasty but service was amazing. They even brought us little macarons to celebrate our getaway. Highly recommend.

Wish we would have gone somewhere else. Saki was good. When asked about dessert, was recommended we go to another restaurant. Glad we had gummy bears in the room.

There service and foods out of this world

Diner Review №135

I give 3 stars for excellence service from the beginning to the end. Average Chinese food, food temperature are cold and beef is not tender. Overcooked both beef noodles and szechuan beef. Again, rice is really cold to eat.

Diner Review №136

I’ve attempted to get a seat here 4 times. It doesn’t matter if it’s 5:15 or 10:00 there’s a 2 hour wait and they expect you to stand there doing nothing until your name is called. No reservations, no text function. I’ve given up attempting to try this place.

Diner Review №137

The food is great. The customer service by the manager Brandon was absolutely the worst that I’ve ever seen. He should not be in a management position. I made a reservation therefore it should’ve been honored. I’m not sure who messed the reservation up but regardless the accommodation should’ve been done. It can’t be that hard to accommodate two people.

Amazing food and decent service! You definitely need to have their szechuan beef, very tasty and spicy, yum. Water glass never went empty, best service in this Casino hands down. Bubblegum roll was also very good, especially for my first time trying sushi.

We had one of the best dining experiences at Jia. The service and food were outstanding. Scotty went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. Highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

We showed up on a really busy night and were able to sit in the bar section without a reservation. The bartender was awesome but super busy, so a biased stepped up and took care of us. I think his name was Launu??? He was awesome and I appreciated everyone chipping in to keep us happy.

Diner Review №147

I had dinner there last night, Monday, July 13th & was truly disappointed. Because I hadn’t made a reservation, I was “allowed” to sit at a table in the bar section.

I ordered the egg rolls & pad Thai. The egg rolls were decent but not $13 for 3 eggs rolls decent.
The pad Thai was dry, not well seasoned & someone went heavy on the lime juice.

I definitely won’t be going back. Since it wasn’t my server’s fault that the food was trash, I still left a sweet tip on an already pricey, unappetizing dinner for one.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE PAD THAI.....!!!!

Wonderful food and service. Would recommend to anyone with a taste for sushi. But all the dishes offered are of equal quality. Smiles.

Diner Review №159

The best teppanyaki I have ever had. We had some kind of spicy fried rice that was amazing. The chicken and shrimp was perfect. The lobster was amazing. The clear soup was the best ever. We are from Orlando , we have Kobe's there and it's been hard to beat kobe but this place sure did.

Diner Review №160

Excellent and exceptional experience. Servers are professionals and super knowledgeable. Food is of the highest quality and so delicious. Best ribeye in the building!

Diner Review №161

We've been dining here ever since it opened and have never had a bad meal! In fact, we've seen it become better over the years, and their new Mongolian Bone-In Ribeye is my absolute favorite entree. My wife's favorite has always been the Misoyaki Glazed Butterfish, and the portions are slightly larger now than in the past. Of course, our meal wouldn't be as enjoyable without the spectacular service from Scotty, who is always so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the food. We've previously gotten the Bubble Gum Sushi Roll, but this time Scotty suggested we try the Graffiti Roll and we loved it! Brandon, the new Manager, also went out of his way to ensure we had an unforgettable dining experience. JIA is always a special treat, and we look forward to eating here for many years to come!

Diner Review №162

Jia has absolutely incredible sushi. So fresh and prepared beautifully with an incredible flavor. We eat here every trip to the Beau. We have gotten many of the main dishes including butter fish (which is outstanding) but now we stick to sushi only because it’s that wonderful. We usually choose to sit at the sushi bar and I can’t complain about the service there. Do yourself a huge favor and eat here. Even if you don’t like sushi, eat here and get a main dish. I’ve never had the hibachi so I can’t speak to the food from it. But if sushi is your thing, this has to be a stop on your list!

Diner Review №163

Nice atmosphere - although a little dark. Really great service, our waiter was both really friendly and efficient. Entrees were tasty (although there were way too many onions in my shrimp entree). 2 issues that caused the lower rating (1) price, as in over priced! (2) limited fish selection for sushi, no fatty tuna, no mackerel, couple other favorites not in stock, and CA roll isn't real crab, I can get surimi at the grocery store. They need to step up their game if they want me to eat sushi there. Our favorite watering hole & sushi joint of all times & places is a little place in Alameda CA called Angel Fish, really spectacular sushi (and two can stuff themselves silly for $130) - take a lesson JIA.

Diner Review №164

I don't know what's going on with some of these reviewers, but apparently they're smoking crack! Sorry, but sushi at ANY restaurant is going to cost more than a large fry at McDonald's. If that's too much for your wallet, then be cheap and go get a Big Mac!!! I frequent the Beau Rivage as a craps player and was wanting to try out this restaurant as I'm a sushi fanatic, and the sushi did not disappoint. It's probably a little bit pricier than other places, but it's also a high end establishment located in a casino so keep that in mind. The big surprise for me was this dragonberry mojito.....I like unique drinks, and that one was awesome. Had nothing but great service, so I don't know about what these others are saying about bad service. Sounds like maybe someone was having a bad day and decided to go all out pretentious in writing a review.

Diner Review №165

It was okay. Service wasnt good at all. The server was making comments. We asked about a good sake and he said well that depends on what you want to spend. He never came to the table. Took forever to pay. The food was good but yes I agree over priced.

Diner Review №166

I waited months looking at the menu waiting to go to this restaurant when my daughter came in town and what a HUGE disappoint!! I guess I can say that they have an incredible group of talented people that write the menu and take pictures because the food really sucked!!! First, the cocktail that I ordered was wrong, the waitress kept trying to tell me that it was right even though the description said mint and there was no mint to be found? I then ordered the signature "JIA" roll and it tasted like fried popcorn shrimp wrapped in greasy rice, no taste at all! Next we got the hibachi (maybe I should have just ordered from the menu) it was horrible!! The soup was tasteless, the salad was ok but the ginger dressing was off. Next, the rice was horrible! How can you mess up rice! Next we ordered the ribeye and chicken and the steak that we were served was no way a ribeye, more of a sirloin!! The only thing that was great was the creme brulee that I ordered for dessert, I had to try to enjoy SOMETHING this entire meal and it was delicious!!!! But the other food was mediocre and tasteless, I have had better hibachi at one of this strip mall hibachi places that was better quality and better tasting food! I expected more from the Beau Rivage!!! The place was also noisey?! I felt like I was in a high school cafeteria and the food tasted like I was too!!!!!! Horrible!!

Diner Review №167

Just like everyone here stated, the SERVICE is horrible and the male manager is so rude! He indicated to us it’s reservation only but yet open seats were everywhere! We waited an hour with our 2 boys! It’s a resort, I understand it’s a casino but still family friendly!

Diner Review №168

Very Over Priced

Diner Review №169

Excellent food and pleasant service.

Diner Review №170

Nice restaurant, but won't be back. The oxtail appetizer was over priced and was a fried ball of breaded nothing. Entrees were fantastic, and loved every bite but was ultimately over shadowed by the incredible negligent lack of customer service. With the price range, there is an expectation to come to visit the table to ensure needs are met at least once before the entree is complete. If visiting, I would highly advise against the appetizers and deserts as they're over priced and add no value to the experience. Hopefully you have better experience withe the customer service than us. Zero wow factor.

Diner Review №173

The ambience of this restaurant is beautiful and relaxing. My server Katie did an excellent job. Katie was attentive and my food came out in a timely manner. The staff was wonderful and professional. The food they served was a fusion of Asian cuisine, but on the other hand, the food was mediocre.
First, I ordered two appetizers: beef tataki and the shrimp ceviche. The beef tataki was sliced very nicely and thin. I could taste the fresh onions, thin noodles, and mint leaves that was beautiful wrapped with the filet beef. The beef tasted extremely fresh and I could feel it melting in my mouth. The ginger sauce went very well with dish.
The shrimp ceviche tasted bland. I could not taste anything else, but the white onions. It was extremely over powering. I could barely taste the citrus in the shrimp. I was not sure if they did not put enough sauce on it or if was even marinated at all. I recommend using less onions or using purple onions instead.
I ordered sea urchin as well and it was terrible. The quality, texture, and taste was not fresh.
My last dish I ordered was the wok fried shrimp with ginger sauce. This dish was mediocre for an upscale restaurant. It was nicely sauteed, but nothing special.

Overall, the restaurant was beautiful and upscale. The staff was excellent and extremely professional. The food was not amazing.

JIA is inside the Beau Rivage. Excellent service and food. I had the steak tips which were amazing. You can order off the menu or hibachi. Good setting and atmosphere.

Diner Review №179

Service was great, my salmon was also very good, my wife's pepper steak was cooked well over medium, almost well done. We ordered two bloody Mary's and requested "not spicy" when the came I stated that "Wow this is spicy" she said I'll check with the bartender, upon returning said that's the way we make it and if you request spicy we than add more. I stated that I can't drink this drink and left it there. They would not take it off the check. Rather than make a fuss, we left . Would not return.

Diner Review №180

We had a great experience at Jia...first the atmosphere is really nice, the wait staff of Andrew and Hi were terrific..directed us to the foods, sauces we might enjoy and gave us space to sit, talk and enjoy. We really enjoyed our dinner. Thank you guys!

Diner Review №181

The service here is absolutely terrible. The guy at the front desk tried to tell us it would be a 30-45 min wait to sit at the sushi bar even though it was a “first come first served” deal and when there were 4 open seats and no one waiting. We finally sat down and it took 20 minutes for us to get our water. But our waiter Scotty was great!! He was very attentive and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. The sushi we ordered was delicious also. But it took forever and a day for the dirty dishes to be cleaned. Some dishes that were still there when we sat down were still there when we left. Food and Scotty gets this place 3 stars. Otherwise, it would be a 1 from me.

Diner Review №182

Had a great waiter. Thanks Tommy! That was all that was great. Cook seemed new. Food was bland and inedible. For 28.00 that I paid for chicken and ribeye I was given 4 ounces of steak and 4 ounces of chicken. The couple across from us split a steak and was given the same portion each. This is my first and my last time I will visit Jia, maybe it's been great for other people and I'm hoping it was just an off night for the cook but I can see paying 100.00 per couple (wwit appetizer) for something I can get for 60.00 at a local hibachi (saki's) and it's 100 times better.

Diner Review №183

This review is 2 stars because the waiter was attentive, and our appetizer was amazing, we got the egg rolls. But that was were the stars stop. The food was ehh, Saki's is much better. The fried rice was bland the seasonings on the filet didn't go together, my husband's chicken and beef were both bland and really inedible. What was really upsetting was 3 other couples at our table that were all together split 1 meal among 2 people and the cook portioned everything evenly between everyone even my husband and I even though we were paying for 2 full meals not 1 split. The cook (Nick) might have been new or something, watching the other cooks at tables near by they seemed much butter with their seasoning and cooking. This was WAY over priced for such poor food, and to be part of an MGM casino is just mind boggling

It is difficult to justify giving a restaurant 5 Stars - I worry that anyone would think this means that this is the best restaurant I can imagine. It is not. But, taken in the context of what it is (an ambitious combination of sushi, pan-Asian and Hibachi) and where it is, Jia could hardly be better. The service is excellent with plenty of staff to take care of all your needs. The ambience is very nice - the hibachi does not dominate (it is in the back) and the light is low enough but yet you can see your menu and food. The food is top notch. They have very good quality sushi with some imaginative rolls (try the Atom Bomb tuna lovers), the hibachi is entertaining, and the traditional Asian menu has some traditional "Chinese Restaurant" favorites, but a lot of creative spin-offs. You can always try something new. The wok fried whole lobster, for instance, was delicious, but the "head soup" they make with it is eye opening and out of this world.

Excellent service, the best sushi on the MS Gulf Coast (imo). Also, great rice, noodles, and hibachi!

Diner Review №192

Best Sushi on the entire Gulf Coast! We regularly visit Biloxi, Beau Rivage, and ALWAYS go to the Jia Asian for EEL Rolls (DRAGON Roll). Hands down the very best eel we've ever eaten - and we've sampled eel from all over the Gulf Coast, Atlantic Coast, Asia, Europe, Middle East and the Caribbean. Corey and his staff are wonderful hosts and his Sushi Bar chefs produce Michelin quality sushi. If you love eel (or other Asian favorites) you must try the Jia Asian at the Beau Rivage.

I really love this place for a unique, pleasant dining experience. We have had great service and they are willing to change a dish based on personal preference.

Diner Review №195

Went to Jia for the first time last night. First, the service and atmosphere were EXCELENT. Our waitress and the kitchen staff delivered our food promptly and were not hovering. The food, however, was vastly overpriced, the portions were meagre and the food itself aside from the egg roll, was no better than available off-the-menu at any Chinese restaurant anywhere else.

Perhaps the restaurant serves something that is above the cut, but I can only base it on what we had. The egg roll appetizer was fairly decent - nothing spectacular, but better than that typically found in the run-of-the-mill restaurant. My wife ordered the Orange Chicken and I had the Szechuan Beef. The Orange Chicken was not crispy at all, rather flavorless and could have come off a buffet. The Szechuan beef had fresh ingredients, but despite the waitress's caveat that it was "spicy", it was actually rather mild and boring. Also, the wonton soup, I was advised, was served in a very large meal size bowl. I asked if I could have a small bowl for a reduced price and was told that it could not be done. In order to get a 1 cup serving of fried rice with our entrees, we had to pay an additional 4 dollars each, and it was rather flavorless.

Further, the portions were small. There was not enough for sharing - I'd estimate less than half of the serving size typically associated with Chinese entrees served on serving dishes.

So, two egg rolls (these were generous portions), orange chicken and szechuan beef (with upgraded fried rice), two glasses of pinot grigio amounted to $98.

Again, perhaps there is something Jia serves which is noteworthy, but based solely on what we ordered, it was just average food quality, below average portion sizes, and vastly overpriced. The service and atmosphere were very, very nice, however.
