Absolutely the best fresh spring rolls I've ever had! Very fresh and full of flavor from the shrimp, pork and herbs in it. Dipping sauce, I could drink it!
I also got the glass noodle salad, again, best one I've had. I've been looking for a good version of this salad for years and here it is, right in Woodbury! Very fresh ingredients, you can tell it's all made with extra care.
Sticky rice is perfectly cooked as well. So good! I can't wait to try other items on the menu.
A strong 5 STARS from me! You have to try this place!
The food was really good, honestly some of the best Thai food I've had. The Pad Thai and anything stir fried is off the charts, plus the cream cheese wontons are the best I've ever had...love there is a place like this in Woodbury. I didn't give the atmosphere a high rating, only because it is no frills, but we ate in and enjoyed the experience and the staff was super friendly.
When I walked in I was helped right away and seated. The staff was so so nice and attentive. Food came out quick for me and was bursting with flavor!!! I ordered an edamame and the Pad Thai with mock duck / no beansprouts. The mock duck was delicious!!! It’s nice to have some flavorful veggie/tofu options for those looking for yummy halal proteins. The inside is very cute, but because it’s small, the winter air can blow inside a bit. Kudos to the staff for being patient. I saw some older folks complaining abt stuff and having an attitude but they’re not me and I will definitely be coming back!!! lol!!! Go support this local business!
LOVE having a good Thai option in Woodbury!! The food was SO fresh and flavorful and the service was terrific. The shrimp were HUGE and cooked perfectly. The crab rangoon had visible (yummy) crab and were not greasy. There was a hiccup with a special order, but that might have been a sw limitation. Totally recommend!!
And those of you that did 1-star reviews on a new place that's still working out staffing, shame on you!! The staff are awesome and the drinks being prepackaged is On The Menu.
Did Woodbury get a non chain restaurant that actually serves good food? Somebody pinch me!
Got spring rolls, chicken pad thai, fried rice and shrimp roll. It’s very good. Good flavor, 3 is a little spicy for me but I will come and try it again. Tons of food. Looks and tastes fresh and made to order. Staff is attentive and very kind. Place is simple and clean. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you Thai Woodbury. 👌
The food here is really good. Fresh and flavorful. Really nice to have another locally owned restaurant in Woodbury. We went for lunch and had 2 appetizers and 2 entrees for 3 of us. The food was plentiful. Cream cheese wontons, chicken satay, red curry and pad thai. Very good flavors and we liked that chicken satay was nicely seasoned and moist. We are also cream cheese wonton fans and theirs were delicious. We will be back again!
Food was pretty good, service was good, and the restraint was clean. Little understaffed but the waiter did great get our orders taken and delivered accurately. I had the chicken Pad Thai and the Banh Mi. Both were good. I would recommend giving it a try. Definitely will be back again
When we lived in the Seattle area we discovered an abundance of excellent Thai restaurants. Since moving to the Twin Cities some years ago we struggled to find an equal, that is until we tried Woodbury Thai. The panang curry green curry, shrimp & pork spring rolls, and pad Thai noodles are fire. And don’t sleep on the beef jerky or cream cheese wontons!!!
5 Stars—But Only Because I’m Guessing Next Time
Tried this place tonight, and wow—the food was fantastic! The Massaman curry, pineapple fried rice, and cream cheese wontons were all top-notch. Flavor, texture, balance—chef’s kiss.
BUT.
Whoever designed the in-store menu must have a personal vendetta against human eyesight. The item names? Totally readable. But that tiny red font describing what each dish actually was? Impossible. I had to bust out my phone and zoom in like I was trying to hack into the Matrix. I saw other diners doing the same thing—some squinting, some angling their menus under the light, one guy looked like he was about to break out a telescope. By the time I could make out a few words, I felt like I had just cracked the Da Vinci Code.
That being said, I’ll definitely be back. The food was too good not to return—I’ll just be ordering the same thing again so I don’t have to go through another round of “Restaurant Menu or Optical Exam?”
This was our first time eating here. We've heard great things about so we went with high expectations. The owner greeted us, helped us get seated and. Then made a few recommendations.
The food was delicious. The serving size was very generous. We will definitely be returning.

Food: flavor & spice are perfect. Great customer service and authentic dishes & flavors. So glad these guys are in Woodbury.
Such excellent food and service! So glad we happened to find this great spot while on vacation.
1st time trying, and we were not disappointed in the portions or the quality of the food. We have the wontons, egg rolls, and drunkin noodles and had enough still for leftovers.
Staff are very friendly and we will be back for sure.

The best green curry I've ever had! Great service!
My little family and I stopped in and was excited but was quite disappointed. We were greeted and than seated at a small table. We ordered chicken satay and spring rolls from their appetizers, my husband ordered walleye curry, since they were out of catfish. My daughter had sticky rice and sausage. While I ordered beef laab and lao papaya. The spring rolls aren’t your traditional spring rolls, instead of sliced roasted pork, you get a small sausage in the roll which I have never seen and it was disappointing. My husband wasn’t a fan of the curry. He wanted it spicy and wasn’t expecting them just to sprinkle dry pepper flakes…if you prefer your curry on the sweeter side, their curry would be okay. My daughter’s sausage was small and looked like it was a frozen sausage and then was thawed then cooked. The side that came with the sausage was just steamed veggies… probably frozen too. The laab didn’t look appetizing and same with the taste. The lao papaya I ordered was made wrong, with little to no flavor, mostly fish sauce. The service is okay. Once we received our food, the server never returned, and we never got refills. Almost into an hour of dining, the server returned and since we were done we asked for the check. The pricing is a little more on the expensive side, comparing to other restaurants we have been to. You can find better restaurants that is more affordable with better quality of food. We discussed and this will be our first and last time ordering from Thai Woodbury.
On a side note, we watched a customer come after we had order our food and he was waiting for his pickup. He didn’t receive his order until we had already finished our meal. The gentleman actually fell asleep while waiting. Good luck if you plan to order from there.
So excited to have excellent Thai food in Woodbury! Our family enjoyed it so much, we went back the next day. We loved the Pad Thai (yes, peanuts were included, unlike what was shared in a previous review) and the Cream Cheese Wantons. The Panang Curry had the most delicious flavor! They gave us free drinks while we waited for our food. They also offered us our choice of chilled or room temperature bottled water. Will definitely add this to our rotation of restaurants we visit. 10/10 recommend!

So delicious!!! I have been wishing for a St. Paul level good Thai place in Woodbury for years. It’s finally here. Everything I had was amazing, can’t wait to get it again.
I am so happy Woodbury finally has an awesome Thai food restaurant (not an American version with extra meat and less spice). We had cream cheese wontons, vegetable spring rolls, chicken pad Thai, tofu massamam curry, pork fried rice and mango sticky rice. I would recommend it all! Also the staff are attentive and courteous! 10/10 would recommend.
I ordered the Mock Duck Pad See Ew. It was flavorless. The whole dish was. Noodles were stale. Staff was nice though.
Food was pretty good, service was good, and the restraint was clean. Little understaffed but the waiter did great get our orders taken and delivered accurately. I had the chicken Pad Thai and the Banh Mi. Both were good. I would recommend giving it a try. Definitely will be back again
This is the best Thai food in the east metro! We loved it!
“Thai Woodbury” is the city’s new (and only) Thai restaurant, conveniently located off 494 and Lake Rd, in a little strip mall by the cycle shop. Thai Woodbury serves a delicious mix of Thai, and some Chinese, Vietnamese, and Lao dishes. They use plenty of fresh spices and veggies, lots of protein and have good sized servings. Some places skimp on these, not here! Tastes have been excellent for every meal. Clearly authentic, great quality food with a fresh home-made taste. Food preparation is excellent, the noodle and rice dishes have the classic “breath-of-the-wok” (wok hei) taste that comes from rapid searing and tossing of protein and vegetables in a very hot wok. Their menu covers the basics of Asian fare, but is a bit limited compared with the (incredibly) extensive offerings at some downtown Thai places. There’s also a limited selection of beverages besides bottle water and canned sodas.
Our recent meal there included egg rolls, drunken noodles, shrimp pad Thai, roast duck curry, with sticky rice and mangoes for dessert. The egg rolls were the best we’ve ever had, unique and home-made (and for us, better than their fancier Thai Egg Rolls). Their Roast Duck Curry is really good, has lots of tender duck, fresh tomatoes and basil, peas, carrots in a mildly spicy curry sauce. The other items were excellent, similar to meals we’ve had in our vacations to East Asia. I tried their Ravu stew, new to me, which they said was the Thai take on American beef stew, flavored with Thai spices. It’s pretty good! tho a bit sweet for my taste. I could see recommending it for someone who wants an introduction to Thai flavors.
The place is small, only about ten tables. Last time it was quite full, so we had a short wait. They seem to have a busy take-out business. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, adds a lot to the otherwise clean and simple atmosphere. Everything is neat and clean. It’s a new place, so it will be interesting to see how they handle MN winter weather when it gets challenging.
Definitely recommend. Will be going back again. Pad Thai was delicious!
Fantastic service, great food, big menu and comfortable dining area!!!

A new Asian restaurant in Woodbury. The restaurant is really nice, clean and small. Service was great and friendly.
We ordered Thai Pineapple Chicken Fried rice and Massaman chicken curry. Food was good. The menu was kinda hard to read though. It was fine print in a red color.
Had a good experience and we'll be back.
GREAT food! New restaurant with one server out front, so be patient and wait for some incredible food. Happy to support them.
We had a great experience at Thai Woodbury tonight. Very prompt and friendly service. We really enjoyed all of the food we ordered, including massamun curry, green curry, spring rolls, egg noodle and wonton soup, and banh xeo. We are thrilled to have a Thai restaurant in Woodbury, especially after Thai Basil in Stillwater closed.
This restaurant may be small, but wow is it delicious! We had great service and enjoyed all of the dishes we tried!!
Delicious food !!
Really great pad thai, fried rice, and egg rolls. Probably ranked in my top 3.
Food is fresh and flavorful. The chicken pad thai, pork fried rice, and ginger beef jerky (with side of sticky white rice) are all amazing. Service is friendly and dining area is clean. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Have been there twice now, once for carry out, once for dine-in. We love it!
Great pad Thai on par with my St Paul favorites. So glad this place opened in Woodbury! The waiter was very warm and friendly. Overall highly recommended.
“Authentic Thai” I guess I’m confused bc everywhere I go is authentic Thai, but this isn’t it. No flavor fried rice, extreme spiciness with only a 2 and the worst thai egg roll I’ve ever had. I’d money it all went in the trash.
I’ll drive out of my way to St. Paul to get good Thai food then order from here again.
I have had the red curry, pad thai, banh mi, and cream cheese wontons. I can recommend all of those - red curry being my favorite so far. Everything was excellent each time I grabbed a meal here, and I will certainly be trying more of the menu in the future.
As for spice levels, you can order on a 1-5 scale of spiciness. I like my food pretty spicy, and 3 was just right for me. Ordered straight off the menu, the food is pretty mild. I think the rest of the flavors pop so much more with a bit of heat, so at least get a 1 or 2 on the scale.
Does not update website with hours. Showed up to the door only to be turned away with some handwritten sign. Waste of time.
I've eaten here a few times now. This is hands down my favorite thai spot. I was so excited when it opened, it's a great addition to the neighborhood. This place makes amazing curry! Couldn't be happier!
Overall not the best and mid at best, the service was slow, water was served after 10mins, no utensils provided after 15mins, we weren’t able to get help as the waiter was in the back most of the time. The food was meh, I ordered a pad thai with beef and it came with some stale fish tasting tofu, I wouldn’t recommend. The eggroll was alright and minimal dipping sauce provided. The price of the food was rather expensive as well. Maybe we went in on a bad night, but overall I wouldn’t try again.
I really wished I liked this place. The food was made fresh but tasted mid. I salted and seasoned the Pad Thai and Pad Kra Pao with the salt/sauces that I grabbed from the counter myself - not sure if it’s self serve or if the waiter was supposed to bring it to us, either way we were not informed. We also stared at our appetizers for about 10 minutes as we did not have utensils. It also took the waiter roughly 10 mins at the beginning to serve water, it was bottled water but not even chilled. Granted the waiter apologized and explained the delay as the other server did not show for her shift. The customer service is an understandable situation but the food is not up to par. No peanuts in the Pad Thai and no sunny side up egg in the Pad Kra Pao (over easy and not runny like the norm). Overall, the food lacked that authentic Thai taste. For the price that you pay, this place is not worth it. Wish the business the best of luck!
We saw a review in a Facebook group and read that this place newly opened run by a mom and son and maybe one other person who helps in the kitchen. Very friendly staff and great food. The son pretty much runs the front, from cashier, ordering, waiter to bussing table. Mom and another person cooking when we visited today. From the FB review someone posted it was just the 2 of them running the show the day that person went. Dine in is limited as this place does look to be set up for take out. We got there right before rush hour lunch time and you need to understand that they are newly opened and trying to accommodate and get all orders in and served whether it was takeout, dine in or door dash orders. SO IF YOU DONT HAVE THE PATIENCE and is hangry, go somewhere else if they are busy. Best Thai style papaya salad I've had in a restaurant in a long time. My mom and aunty's Thai style is the best and this definitely hit the spot for Thai style papaya salad. We also had calamari, shrimp padthai (very generous and large jumbo shrimps!) and Ravu (it's a beef stew) came with baguette bread first time trying it and it was so good, the beef was also tender! Overall food was great! I'm glad there is more authentic food in Thai and Lao cuisine around us!
The food here is amazing!!! The cashew stir fry with tofu and the cream cheese wontons were my favs. This place is a must try!!
My girlfriend and I tried this for takeout tonight and it was phenomenal! I had the spicy beef stir fry and would highly recommend. Would’ve liked a little bit more beef but it was still delicious!
Soooo excited to have a south east asian spot in Woodbury! We ordered the pho, Lao style som tum, and chicken pad thai.
The pho is on the sweeter side and pricey but it's a generous portion.
The Lao style som tum is not as funky as what I've had before but still really good! Love that it comes with the sticky rice and jerky.
The flavors of the pad thai is authentic and the noodles were done well.
Can't wait to come back and eat again. 😋
I have been there twice now and the food is phenomenal. Thai fried rice last week. Pad Thai and spring rolls today. The spring rolls are by far the best I've ever had. Definitely a great restaurant.
My fiancé and I had been excited for this place to open ever since we saw the sign get put up. We were so happy to see it opened when we returned from a vacation in Japan. The staff/owners were working tirelessly to accommodate every customer.
The food was delicious. No dish is served spicy by default, so if you want spice, just be sure to inform them of your desired spice level when ordering.
Cannot wait to visit again. So glad we have a thai restaurant within walking distance.
