Ordered pad see ew, Thai style papaya salad, egg rolls, and chicken pad Thai. I loved the convenience in online ordering and the papaya salad was good as expected and I would order again. Eggrolls weren't bad either for the price.
However, both stir fried noodle dishes tasted WAY too ketchup-y or sweet and very salty. The pad Thai had a red tinge to it, was extremely sweet and salty, and was not good. Had higher hopes for the pad see ew which did not look red but was missing any sort of wok flavor which is standard for these dishes. There was no browning in the beef or any of the noodles and veggies so it just tasted syrupy and lacked depth. Would not recommend these noodle dishes. Last thing I will say is I appreciate they actually try to get as close as they can to your preferred spice scale when you're ordering.

Very high quality food, some of the best I’ve had and the items on the menu are much more unique and authentic than your average Thai restaurant. And the service was amazing, the server went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to eat!

I ordered red curry early april and got a tasty dish, but this time it was filled with lemon grass and was extremely salty. The chicken looked funny and was cold. It felt like it was microwaved. The sticky rice was hard and stiff. The wontons we ordered tasted like the cheese was old. I cannot recommned this place.

No celery or Chinese celery in the yum woon sen I ordered. Fine. I’m not picky and all I ask is that my food is fresh. But the tomatoes tasted very old and were mushy, couldn’t eat them. The quality was just not there for the price. This salad has been fresh and delicious many times I’ve ordered at On’s on University.

Just tastes like over-anglicized, generic Asian food. The sweet and sour pork was super dry and the green curry was so watery it seemed like I was eating a bowl of soup more than a Thai curry.

Food is so flavorful

Super friendly and quick service! Food was delicious and the thai iced tea was phenomenal. We picked up our order on a Sunday night so not too busy but our food was ready in 15 minutes at most. Really enjoyed everything and would defo go out of my way to get food from here again.

Sooooo disappointed. I e been to the On’s normal location and the food was always fabulous. This place shouldn’t even carry their name. Their idea of pad Thai is embarrassing. The driest noodles I’ve had and so bland. Zero peanuts. It was basically dry noodles and chicken. Never going here again.

Had the worst experience (do not mean to be rude just dissappinted) - ordered sticky rice, fried tofu, and spring rolls. Sticky rice did not taste fresh and was so hard/chewy (tasted like plastic - worried that it was heated in a plastic container it came in which would be bad, but not sure). The lettuce and veggies in the spring rolls were brown and fell apart because they were not tight enough - tofu was good.

Was somewhat disappointed. Ordered the green curry and pad kee mao. I’ve had these dishes from countless other Thai restaurants and these were quite different from what I would expect.

The pad kee mao looked and tasted more like a Pad Thai to me, to the point where I wondered if we got the wrong dish. I don’t expect it to use thin noodles and have a tangy taste like this did.

The green curry was less sweet than I’m accustomed to. It was actually quite good except it was VERY salty to the point I had to chug water.

The portions ARE quite generous which is a plus.

Obviously not all dishes should/can be identical across different chefs, but personally was disappointed in these variations.

Got the Chicken Laab, chicken wings and papaya salad and it was the worst Thai food I've had in the city. None of it tastes like the original On's location. The sticky rice container was half full for $5 and had not one but two gray hairs in it.

Stopped in for a quick bite. Had the mango chicken and cream cheese wontons. Service was excellent. Young guy was very attentive. I ordered from the hot bar, might have been the mistake. The chicken was hard and chewy- way over cooked. The sauce was unremarkable and what I think was dried mango, could have been just too long in the steam table, was hard to chew and not very flavorful.
Creamcheese wontons were fine.

Wow! The food is amazing. Yes, it's a bit pricy, but quantities are generous, and the freshness can't be beat. We had the little shrimp dumplings, crab fried rice, green curry, and spring rolls. Spices were on point, we both loved the use of fresh herbs in the dishes. Highly recommend!

Love the to-go style of this place—everything looks fresh and is tasty too. Prices are a bit high BUT you get food for 2-3 meals so it evens out. I tried their taro bubble tea twice and the first time the boba were underdone, the next time, they were overdone. That's my only complaint so far. We'll be going back!

Red curry is the best.

Ordered a green curry, pad thai, and pad kee mao. The green curry and pad thai were just okay, but the pad kee mao was overwhelmingly sweet, like it was doused with syrup. Definitely not a great meal.

We had a good first experience here. The staff was nice. The green curry was very tasty, but did have a bit too much coconut milk, or some sort of cream. I did order medium spice, and it wasn’t spicy at all. My husband ordered one step above me and his was extremely spicy, so maybe it was a mistake. We will definitely give the place another try.

I had the Pad Thai. It was so, so salty.

Feeling so very, very lucky to live near this new On’s Thai location. Extraordinary food, order was ready quickly. Ignore bad reviews, do yourself a favor and get here soon. On’s Thai, please stay open forever.

It's great to have Ons in the area and their fast bar is awesome. Plus they have the full menu from the OG restaurant.

Excellent food for Thai take out

It's a small joint, not a sit-down, so the atmosphere is what it is. The food has been great. If you want fast, get the steam table. If you want custom (I always get Thai hot, so this is me), you'll probably be a few minutes, as the range space is limited. That's fine. The express part is the steam trays.
You can see the set up. If you are surprised by custom taking longer, I don't know that anyone can help you.

This was definitely Highland Village strip mall Thai Food. No effort or love was put into the food or restaurant. Flavors were okay, but forgettable. Tried curry, spicy chicken drunken noodle, wontons, egg rolls.

Some slightly different flavors than On's but maybe that will change... excited they are expanding.

Ordered online 15 minutes prior to arrival with predicted completion within 15 minutes after arrival at restaurant. Waited 1 hour 20 minutes for the 2 items I had ordered. Very disorganized. Needs to figure out an efficient workflow! No patron should wait for 1 hr 35 minutes. There were 3 cooks working in the kitchen! The owner kept telling new patrons ordering that it would be 20 minutes. Why are walk-in patrons served faster? Was excited to have a new Thai restaurant nearby but my excitement has been extinguished sadly.

So excited about this place. Staff is wonderful and accommodating. Food is delicious and portions are very generous. They are doing to be a Highland Park staple!
