Order 2 simple meals and pot stickers, received 2 "meals" with zero flavor. Had to ask about the appetizer and told we didn't order one, I asked for the receipt and low and behold they remembered before producing the receipt. We also ended up with someone else's "meal" you're welcome to whomever we took this garbage off of your hands for you.

Best part of the meal was the bottled water...

The venue is nice. They offer build your own Asian plates and offer a few preconfigured options. We went with the latter tonight as we didn’t want to make a bunch of decisions to create our own (but next time I will put my own meal together). The food is fresh and tastes good. It’s not high end but good for a quick meal out. I had sweet shrimp with noodles and my friend had chicken with brown rice. The shrimp was sweet with no spice. The chicken was fairly spicy with raw slices of jalapeño mixed in. Both were fine, but we agreed that we will build our own next time around. Note that you place your order via touch screen. It was easy to understand. The food came out in takeout boxes even though we ticked the “dine in” option. I don’t think they offer plates. So we sat at a nice table and ate out of the boxes with our plastic forks. It was a cold day today and we were surprised the space wasn’t better heated. It was chilly inside. Parking is free in the lot the Urban Wok is in. If your looking for fast food (Asian fare) it is a good option. No doubt a nice place to meet up with friends.

I was really disappointed today.

The employees were fantastic even when I had to wait a long time due to a MAJOR flaw in their website system that did not clearly mark the location ( obviously not the employees' fault).

But when I opened my food I was immediately put off by the scent of charcoal/ burnt food. There were flakes of charcoal on the box and mixed in to the sauce and both of my 2 bowls had burnt food inside.

I appreciate the employees might have been trying to rush because I had waited so long. But I'd be happier to wait for better quality food.

Came for their Wing Wednesday promotion. They are the smallest chicken wings I've ever seen at a restaurant, still an okay value when their only 75 cents, but don't expect fullsize wings.

The restaurant itself doesn't really seem equipped to serve people dining in, I couldn't even find a napkin.

I was introduced to their food by a roommate last night and thought I’d give it a try today. Excellent food. Minimalist presentation. I thought the three potstickers would have been on the side and not in the entree. I will be back.

No music. Order through confusing kiosks with no greeting from a human. Two bowls and wings were flavorless, even with added hot sauce and ranch. Udon was swimming in large pool of grease.

I Ordered pickup for make my own stir fry bowl. Added the 3 potstickers and snow peas for an additional fee. I always check the bag to make sure everything is in there that I ordered before driving home. Noticed there wasn’t a container with 3 potstickers so I went back in and asked the employee, he tells me they are “mixed in with my stir fry” so I take his word and go home. Get all the way home and Pour the entire container out and there are no potstickers or snow peas I paid extra for. Overpriced and incorrect orders, paying for things you won’t get. Do not recommend and if you do triple check your pickup order

Ate here once and got a vibe of corporate nonsense. Months later got a $20 for $40 app platter promo. Online you order wings, spring rolls, wontons. I pick up and they're all wings. Worth $20. My nephew went there an hour later expecting a platter. Same thing. He called. They said that's weird to happen and will fix it. He went there and they gave him two potstickers and two spring rolls. Haha. Platter is to have 5 of each. He asked and they just said best you just leave. Too much a headache with junk online ordering experience and various mess ups. Stop going to work high. Would never pay $40 for this. Looking forward to who will take over that spot.

Delicious hot food really hit the spot after being outside in the cold.

Ordered the beef, ginger and broccoli and all I could taste was salt. No flavor. The beef was chewy and there were three sprigs of broccoli, the rest was rice.

After screwing around with the kiosk for 5 min to have it freeze and have to start all over. Then to find out they will only let you use one gift card per purchase is a joke. You purposely sell your gift cards in a way to force people to spend extra money to utilize what they have already purchased. I received 4 gift cards when I made my gift cards purchase.

The kiosk was a little confusing when it starts with noodles, then extra veggies when building your own bowl. The menu didn't specify what veggies came with a chicken rice noodle bowl so we added stuff we didn't need too. Food came out pretty fast but was just ok. We got mango habanero sauce and it over powered everything. I wish there would have been a little more chicken since the pieces were so small.

The employees were super nice and friendly. We were impressed that the dinning area was spotless.

The food here is TERRIBLE! No flavor at all they don't even use any seasoning and it's extremely overpriced. I'm pissed I wasted money here. What happened? I did takeout. It was so good the first time I ordered. This time, I could no longer pick out the veggies I wanted which I was okay with but the cooks clearly forgot to put the sauce on it! Who wants flavorless dried noddles? So frustrating I spent money on this and had included a tip. Never again.

I'm a big fan of Urban Wok, first their St. Paul location and how this one. It's a great location right by the West End. You can completely customize your meal with the base, protein, sauce and veggies you like best. Udon noodles with peanut sauce and tofu is a favorite for me. Everything comes out hot and fresh so it's great to eat there or bring it home with you. Be sure to add the potstickers!

I had the Udon noodles with plenty of veggies and chicken and picked the Spicy Peanut Sauce which I loved. We also ordered the crispy spring rolls which were amazing. You get a bunch of them. Would highly recommend checking it out. We will definitely be back there.

Ordered for delivery, my 2nd time trying the yellow curry stir fry. The first time was shortly after they opened so I thought the reason why the flavor of the curry sauce was so bad might be because they're new. I tried the yellow curry again today and it was the same flavor - almost bitter and like it's missing an ingredient to balance it out. Going in the trash.

Food Was tasty But for almost nineteen dollars for 1 person with no apps It was mostly rice and sauce. Very late on the chicken and vegetables. Not worth the cost would not return.

Love their food and atmosphere, but their website is frustrating. Their sauces are great and I especially love the option of adding dumplings into your stir fry - it really adds a lot to the experience. They do a great job advertising their deals and specials but I have tried on many occasions and they will not work through their online ordering, which is maddening and has actually prevented me from ordering a couple times. It always seems to be missing a step and will not let you proceed. Very misleading and disappointing for something being advertised but you can’t use it.

Disappointing! Usually a favorite but sadly today’s meals not the usual quality expected. An overload of noodles with minimal sauce (the dish was quite dry), few veggies, and meat (we even paid for extra steak and extra chicken). It was just really disappointing. My husband and I will be reluctant to try again.

Everything is so good and fresh at this place. You can tell everything is made fresh. The manager Donovan really made us feel at home; funny guy! He's very knowledgeable about the product and a very positive attitude. The place is very clean and tidy.

Horrible experience all around starting with not taking online orders. When called, we were referred back to the website indicating no online orders were being taken. Get to the restaurant & zero people inside, including staff. We had to place an ONLINE order on a kiosk, still no staff. Finally 2 employees came out from the back to work on our order but never did greet us.

We chose to try UW because one in our party has celiac & they listed many gluten-free options on the menu. She watched the preparation & noticed many errors of cross-contamination, including putting the utensil used for the wheat noodles in the GF rice noodles. She no longer felt she could safely eat her entree, so we ended up getting her a meal at a different restaurant in the area that she knew she could trust.

The food was overpriced (our bill was about $100 for takeout for 4, which included the GF meal that wasn’t eaten) & very bland & not tasty at all. We came in expecting something comparable to Pei Wei & were very sadly disappointed.

Excellent place to get some great grub. With such a simple menu you have almost unlimited options. Food is fresh and tasted great. Gentlemen that was working even turned on the TV for the kids to sit and watch a movie. Can’t recommend this place enough.

The food was very good. The place was empty at 12:30 on a Thursday. The only issue was they “hadn’t received the truck delivery yet” and so were out of most kinds of soda/pop.

Food's always good. Travis behind the counter is hilarious, helpful, and kind. Got the Friday BOGO build-your-own bowls.

Grabbed a late lunch and not busy. My order was fresh and hot. Yummy stir fry vegetables served I. A to-go container. However it was so yummy I ate the whole thing. It hit the spot for me. I chose to go with zucchini noodles (zoodles) with shrimp and adding the mango habanero sauce. It was a perfect combo.

Food promised in 30 min so left work to pickup. Stood for another 30+ min because limited staff was so far behind. Go elsewhere if you have limited time for lunch like me.

A friend and I were in tonight and everything was amazing. Great food, great prices (don’t miss out on BOGO stir fry Friday), and AJ/Donovan were so friendly and informative.

I paid $4 extra to have shrimp and they didn’t give me my shrimp. Had I gotten it, I would have given 5 stars because the food was tasty. But it sucks to have to pay for something as an extra and not even get it.

Chipotle of Wok, amazing food super quick service

This is pretty good perfectly serviceable Asian fusion food. The wallpaper from an ancient subway store kind of hit a little old but it’s a decently decorated place too. Better than Lee Ann Chin.

Unethical and lazy. They didn't deliver our full order and when we called to ask for our full order or a refund, they refused to address their mistake. They told us they didn't have time for us. Expensive, insulting and arrogant. Don't do business with these guys, they don't deserve your time.

The restaurant is freezing always. They don’t give a lot of meat in the dish, what is included is poor quality (steak shouldn’t be crunchy). I ordered three dumplings which were mixed into my noodles, and I only found 1.5 of them in there. Lastly, it’s not even affordable. 🤮

He was sagging his pants and seemed to be intoxicated. I asked if he could help me with signing up for rewards and he told me to F-off under his breath. Luckily I was able to figure it out. The other employee was very helpful. Other than that the food was great I really enjoyed it. :) hopefully they work out something between the manager…

Just stopped in at 5pm to order food for dinner and employees were blasting rap music with swear words and whole store smelled like cigarettes.. really bad. The employee was in the back smoking a cigarette while on his phone. I needed help with the kiosk and there was nobody up front to assist me. Took a while for anyone to notice that I was here and who I’m guessing was the manager for tonight came up front and just looked at me very rudely. His eyes were bright red and looked like he didn’t want to be here. Fortunately one of the employees was eager to answer my questions. Thank you josh! I went to sit down at one of the tables and almost every one of them was sticky and had food on them. I told the Manager about it ,he kind of just brushed it off and rolled his eyes. When I received my food the pieces of chicken and the rice noodles were severely overcooked and had a nasty burnt taste. I would say this was the worst experience that I had. I come in often on weekdays for dinner and always have a good experience but this time was very disappointing.

First visit. l Tried the create your own, the pre-created and wings. Portion size for one dish was ridiculously small, other was fine. Staff was very friendly, helpful and tried to make everything right.

Clerk had to come around and help with the ordering process. It didn't go smoothly. I was charged for everything but we found later what actually printed for the box label and what showed on their order screen was missing items and the dollar totals didn't match my receipt. I was shown their screen, and had the box label. They didn't seem to recognize the mismatch.

Rather than redoing the incorrect order, they just brought out some chicken chunks 10 minutes after they brought out the dish. They forgot about the wings. They came over to the table to asked about one of the entres they had helped input. One of the specific problems was the orders printed without the protein that was ordered and paid for.

Fortunately I was there at 11:00 and no customers came for the first half hour. So they had time for the 15-minute ordering process and then the 15-minute cooking and adding

It felt like it was their first day in business. Other customers eventually came and some had the same level of difficulty with the order entry process.

I asked if their soy was gluten free. The clerk explained that soy was made from soybeans and they are vegetables, so yes it's gluten-free. He apparently was unaware that 99% of soy sauce is blended with wheat. Fortunately, I don't have an allergy. A member of my family does. Urban Wok highlights how most everything is GF. I wanted to try the place ahead of bringing her there.

Service was good. Food was super salty/dry and the music was overwhelmingly loud in the store.

One of the employees greeted me right away and asked if I had questions and showed me how to order food. The food is delicious and I really like their pre-selected bowls and all the options, the sauce was yummy and the perfect amount of spice!

First time to the SLP Urban Wok and it was excellent! Fresh, real food with lots of flavor. Need to go back to try the other sauces.

My first time there and they blew it out of the park with how good it was, and the staff is just incredible

Food was fresh and there were great choices of toppings and combinations. Mine was a bit salty for my taste, but I did get a soy sauce dressing. I ate in, but was still given a takeout style container. I would have preferred a real bowl for an $18 meal.

The hospitality and service is unmatched though the food does not live up to the same standards. 5 veggies add ins and its still all rice. Not ideal for getting returning guests but the idea and meal is still good enough to have a 2nd first time at another location. Especially being that it was Stir Fryday which means buy one get one. Worked out well for me and my lady.

Today (4/26/2023) I stopped into Urban Wok for the first time because I saw their sign for 75 cent wings and said why not. From the moment I walked in the energy of the workers was alive! Not only was the food extremely good but the workers are the reason I am writing this review. I came right in the middle of the lunch rush and it looked like a two man team at this point. It is rare that you see two workers so in sync to handle take out orders, dine-in orders, online orders and a huge group order at once. The gentleman working the front part of the kitchen was making sure everyone was getting their food as fast as they could while also communicating what was going on in case some orders took longer. The gentleman working the back end of the kitchen was flying as fast as possible to make the food (and again it was really good so he did a fine job!). I will absolutely recommend this location purely on the staff. Travis was one worker (per the name on my receipt) and I'm sorry I didn't get the other gentleman's name but kuddos to you both for running a smooth show during a major lunch rush!

Pros: Really great customer service. Lovely people, great vibes.
Cons: food tasted dirty

I ordered a BYO Stir Fry: rice noodles, broccoli, green onions, cabbage, 3 chicken dumplings, w/ garlic, ginger and soy sauce. When it was completed, it smelled and tasted burnt/off.

The gentleman there was very kind and remade it for me with a different sauce to try (the yellow coconut curry) and it definitely smelled better, but still tasted dirty/burnt, and also bland (needed a lot of salt and pepper).

Based on the residue I found on the noodles and the inside of the container, my best guess is the oil is being reused for multiple orders and the woks aren't cleaned/new in between orders. Fix that, use a bit more seasoning, and also turn down the heat a little bit to avoid burning the sauce - this could be really good!

Absolutely delicious!

Ordering at the kiosk in the store charges you a fee.

I was super excited to try this.. udon noodles overdone.. soggy dumplings that no longer resembled a dumpling. Veggies were nice and fresh. But ordered snow peas and got chick peas instead. They forgot my hot sauce.. so it had NO SPICE.. even though I ordered "spicy peanut sauce"

My hubby and I just left the urban wok in west end. Travis was the gentlemen that cooked our food..he was really friendly and enthusiastic about the product and they most def delivered. We are foody types and like to eat healthy and was blown away by how delicious our good was! I had spicy peanut sauce chicken and he had yellow curry. Vegetables were so fresh AND cooked perfectly. They had all recyclable and compostable to go containers. Thanks Urban wok (and Travis) we can't wait to come back!

I have absolutely no idea how this place is rated so high. Horrible food and horrible service

Overall, the whole family liked it and we will try it again in a bit to see if it irons out some kinks.
The food is fresh, healthy, priced decently, and tasted great, and the staff was friendly.
Strange things that I hope they iron out:
First, I agree with a previous comment that it is cold inside. My kids didn't want to dine in because of it but we had to as we were on our way to an event.
Second, even when marking dine in, your food comes in take out boxes- not the easiest for little kids to eat out of. When I asked for a plate for my youngest, a decorative paper plate like what you'd buy at Target was supplied. Just felt a little weird.
Third, Waaaaay too sauce forward. As mentioned, this is served in takeout boxes. As I was finishing mine, there was a good 2-3 tablespoons of sauce left in it and I had to leave my remaining rice because the sauce was too salty to continue.
