Excellent food and plenty of vegan options including mock duck and tofu options.
Staff is well-versed in what can be made vegan.
Pineapple fried rice- very impressive plating.
Tofu Pad Thai- excellent with good-sized veggie chunks. Excellent flavor
Veggie Spring Rolls- good. Like that it comes with three sauce options.
This is one of the best thai spots in Minnesota. My family has been going here for years, whether it was for a celebration or just to satisfy our craving for some thai. We always think of Joy's!
They allow us to adjust our order to be as spicy as we want, and it's amazingly delicious. We typically get the Pad See Ew and Basil Fried Rice. We also ordered a Sweet & Sour Chicken for my little sisters.
Overall, we always have a great experience eating here!
I have been here a few different times over the last ten years.
Same bldg, same parking, same menu, same flavor, but the thing that makes it special was absent.
Food tasted fine. It was warm enough.
Table and floor was clean, parking lot was open and had spots.
The Location is nice,
Maybe it's time to take a new stance/ do a mid-week buffet day or have a live music Friday night, this isn't a bad place - there was just a-lot more people doing take out than dinning. I have this feeling, like if this were a downtown rooftop resturant it could be in the running for a one michelin star resturant; Maybe they could add a drive thru and get more customers because it's already on a great corner lot.
We saw lots of positive reviews here and gave it a try based on those. Absolutely worst Thai food we have ever had — and we’ve eaten so much in so many cities. Tom Yuck was mostly broth with a few slices of onion and rubbery mock duck. Fried Tofu was a small sampling of blandness. Green Curry was the most watered-down nothing and the pork overcooked. Really disappointed.
Update - July 27,24 - extremely disappointed in the food and service we received. The new female waitress brought out incorrect dishes and when we informed her, she didn’t do anything to fix it. We had to wave at her for so long to get a box and check in the end as well. In addition, the drunken noodles tasted off and had too much salt. They didn’t take the spice level into consideration either. It was definitely not a 5 and we weee given attitude when asked for chili oil. Not sure what happened to the food and service, but please do better moving forward or you will be loosing loyal customers like us. Pictured here is the veggie egg rolls. (They were also too salty)
Easter Sunday - Stopped by for the first time in years and were pleasantly surprised that the food was still authentic. Good portion sizes as well, and friendly service. Looking forward to our next visit!
Pictured here is the drunken noodles with tofu and Singapore noodles with tofu. They take spice levels into consideration.
Best Thai food that I am aware of. Always kind polite and great customer service. Food is always fresh. Prices are just great. The food is amazing. 10 stars. I have been ordering from here for over 10 years this place is amazing. Location and parking great to get in and out of. #1 go to when it comes to fresh made Thai food!!
The food at this place was amazing. The service was very good and attentive. Very nice place to eat. The cucumber sauce for the spring rolls was outstanding. I have not found that sauce anywhere. It was delicious.

We got the Chicken Fried Rice with no spice and Chicken Pad Thai with 2 spice level. They were both really good! Portions were also really good! One of the best fried rice for sure!
We had a large group on a Saturday and the staff seated us promptly and took great care of us. The food came out in a reasonable time and was great.
Amazing atmosphere, very classy feel. Small resturant, great food, good wine. Service was amazing. Fried tofu and pad Thai were both delicious. We enjoyed every aspect of this place
Updated - I got takeout. The Massaman curry was really good. My only complaint was that a 15% tip was added to my bill without me noticing. But after posting here, they went beyond my expectations and refunded my whole bill. I’ll be checking my receipts closely in the future.
In Minneapolis for a sporting event and craving Thai food. Found this gem and will definitely be back! It was FANTASTIC! The crab cream cheese rolls and fresh spring rolls were a 10. Also recommend the red curry!
Simply the best food in Richfield, I just need to stop arriving early because I'm too excited 😊
i wish i could give them 5 stars again, they started giving me an extra cup of spiciness with my curry which i appreciate so much

I visit Joy’s Pattaya Thai Restaurant once or twice a week, so the staff there recognize me. I always order the same dish—fried rice with no meat and no onions—because I’m Muslim and only eat halal food, which they are aware of. However, they messed up my order and brought out fried rice with chicken. When I pointed out the mistake, they acknowledged it and said they would fix it. After waiting for about 5 minutes, I received my new order, but as I was eating, I found a piece of chicken in it. I felt deeply betrayed. When I brought it to their attention, they said I didn’t have to pay, but they didn’t seem to understand how important it is for me to eat halal food.
A response back to Joy’s Management:
I am disappointed by your response, as it not only fails to address the seriousness of the situation but also includes false accusations and unwarranted remarks about my character.
First, I want to clarify that I have always treated your staff with respect during my visits. The claim that I have shown “bad gestures” or “dramatic behavior” is entirely untrue and baseless. I have no history of conflicts with your servers, and any suggestion otherwise is slanderous.
Second, while I appreciate your acknowledgment of the mistake and your decision to waive the payment, the issue goes far beyond a simple error. As a Muslim, consuming halal food is a deeply important aspect of my faith, and finding chicken in my dish after I specifically requested no meat felt like a significant violation of trust.
Finally, your suggestion that I “visit halal-approved places in the future” is unnecessary and condescending. As a customer, I have the right to dine where I choose and to expect my dietary preferences to be respected.
I hope you will take this feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to improve communication, address customer concerns with professionalism, and avoid making false statements about your patrons.
Reply:
What are you even talking about? Take some time to educate yourself on what HALAL food actually means. I specifically ordered “fried rice with no meat.” I challenge you to release the video on social media so people can see and hear for themselves if I was rude. I was literally shaking from the experience.
Your actions are fraudulent. Instead of taking accountability, you’re slandering me and trying to tarnish my character just because you received a bad review. I will definitely be reaching out to Muna (the waitress you fired) because this kind of behavior is unacceptable, and you need to be held accountable for lying about your customers.
Reply:
At this point you sound delusional and racist. I will not waste my precious time or New Year arguing with you.
Edit: I’m more than willing to provide all my transaction records, dating back to when the restaurant had a strong sewage smell up until now. Send whoever you’d like. Reading these responses from management is truly disappointing. If you can’t handle constructive criticism or negative reviews, perhaps you shouldn’t be in business. Making false accusations against customers is unacceptable, and legal action should be taken for such behavior.
I don’t usually make a complaint but I ordered Pad Thai (no spicy level) since I have acid reflux and after one bite my mouth started to burn. When I told the lady she responded by saying, “I put the right request in“ smh.
My friend and I went on New Years Eve so they were pretty busy meaning the food came out a bit slow, but when it did it was incredible!! Highly recommend the pineapple fried rice ♥️
Ordered it for delivery, my husband enjoys spicy food and ordered a 2/5 spice. I like a little spice so I went with a 1/5....neither of us were able to eat our pad thai. Both tasted the same, VERY spicy more than my spice loving husband could handle. And I couldn't get past a couple bites. We also got egg rolls that were very tasty. However we couldn't eat our meals. If we could get past the spice they looked like they would be tasty.
The food is always delicious and the service is always great at Joy’s! I love coming back here!
The Thai Chive Puffs were amazing! We had two entrees and three appetizers for three of us and came home with food. The Sake was perfect!
I would order everything again! So so good! Serves- perfect- food perfect- open on Christmas yahoo!!
Everything was delicious
Joey's Pattaya Thai restaurant is the most authentic Thai restaurant I have been to in MN. Just like in Thailand, they have traditional dishes, great service, amazing food, and a very relaxing welcoming ambiance. Located on 76th St and Lyndale in Richfield, MN, you won't be let down if you appreciate Thai food. The servers ask you and explain to you the spice levels so you can make a proper choice and not get the food too spicy. They don't play around in Thailand when it comes to spice level so be careful lol. The spice level goes from 1 to 5 and I suggest starting at 1 if you don't handle spice well. That being said, the savory tasty food is so great! Thanks And cheers!!
The food is delicious and the service very friendly. I will definitely be going back.
Good Thai entrees, the vegetables were crisp, not over cooked
Great flavors including some differences to what you'll find at other similar restaurants in the area. Worth a stop if you're hungry and close by!
The veggie Pad Thai was one of the better versions I've had in the Cities (not vegan, just with veggies instead of meat). The larb was less intensely citrus and chili flavored than I've had elsewhere, but still good. The standout was the Tom Yum soup, which cannot be made vegan, but was delicious and served in a delightful vessel with a ladle and small bowls. We shared family style and it was great fun. Reasonable portion sizes too. We had leftovers for one person for one meal.
They say this on the menu, but spicy means spicy! I go for a 3-4 out of 5 at other Thai places but I'm into a 2 at Joy's.
When it's busy in the dining room it can be quite hard to hear conversation at your table.
very good pad thai and fried tofu 🤌🏼
Ordered delivery of cashew chicken it had 4 cashews and maybe a once of chicken 1/2 of container had this weird clear ish fluid like water was poured on it. Not good also egg rolls that looked like taquitos you buy from Costco not recognizing as egg rolls. Will not be ordering from here again. I also received an extremely rude response so I am changing my review to a 1 rating. I would not feed this slop to a pig.as a disabled vet my wife and I like to have Thai food on the rare occasion we can afford it and we do not have the ability to drive the nasty food back for a potential refund or replacement of more nasty food. We both spent many years living in Thailand and this food is far from that

The pad see ew, pad thai, and thai tea were good. Our pickup order was accurate and ready on time. They weren't kidding about the spice warning!
Just fyi - the turn in is a little weird, it's not in the same lot as the Dairy Queen but you can walk over if you end up there accidentally
Fancy atmosphere and good food for cheap
OUTSTANDING food at a second generation family Thai restaurant.
The flavors are fresh and savory with no MSG or added packaged concoctions but made right "in-house." The meat was fresh which isn't always the case with pork (excellent-with the garlic dish). The vegetables were cooked to perfection and so fresh.
The appetizers are amazing. Are you kidding me with the crab roll with fresh chunks of avocado!?!
The restaurant is small, quaint and unique. We visited with the owner, Pawan, and he was gracious, kind and clearly proud and honoring to carry on the legacy of his mom who started the business.
My husband and I live 300 miles away and this was my second time as I found this gem with my son when I brought him to the Minneapolis airport.
I cannot say enough about this place and we'll visit it every time we're in Minneapolis. I will encourage all my friends living in the Twin Cities to dine at this restaurant as well.
FIVE STARS ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The outside looks like it’s falling apart, but the interior is nice. Don’t sit by the bathroom, because it stinks super bad. The food though is great. Friendly service if you have cute kids. Best for takeout.

Delicious find.
Food taste isn't Great at all. Most don't even know what good food is. They eat anything. 👎
Taste 1/5
Portion Size 1/5
Service 3/5
UPDATE TO THE RESPONSE:
I did ordered just that. The PHO, The drunken Noodles and Thai Fried Rice.
When we didn't want to finish the food we asked the server for some to-go containers. She only brought us One tiny little brown box.
Which is when I got up and helped myself to grab another to-go container because we asked her for 2 containers.
As there was still so much food left it didn't fit into one container. We decided to take the leftovers for someone we know who may be wanting to try it.
We didn't even pack the Pho because it was just terrible. It tasted like dish water with a bunch of bean sprouts. You can see that we didn't even touch it nor didn't want to pack it.
So share away.
Sleeper spot, put this one on your radar. Generous lunch portions for $12. The drunken noodle disappeared before my eyes
Come for the Khao Soi alone.
THE SPICE! IS! RIGHT!
At long LAST, I found my Thai place in the Cities. I ordered GF Pad Thai with shrimp and Prik King with tofu. I thought I'd have a nice lunch/dinner/snack over the next 24 hours, and shooooooooot, I ate it all last night. It was so good. I ordered spicy, because I needed to know. Now I know. It's just perfect.
No idea about ambiance because I grabbed and went, but it looked well-appointed and the front-of-house folks were friendly and attentive to their late-lunch guests. Can't wait to go back!! <3
We started off with the Chive Puffs as an appetiser. For our mains, I ordered the Green Curry with Tofu while my partner had the Red Curry with Chicken. Each came with their own side of jasmine rice 🌾. Additionally, I ordered a pot of Jasmine tea for us to share.
The curries were appropriately spicy; enough to heat up my tongue but not cause discomfort.

If you love, papaya salad, Thai style, make sure you let them know to use less fish sauce. The one they serve tonight was very very fishy compared to other Thai restaurants. We had the pumpkin curry, which was delicious! And we had the chive veggie puffs, which were also excellent. I would recommend getting takeout, maybe it was just today, but the smell of sewer or dirty bathroom was wafting through the air.
Pad Thai was 95% noodles and no spice (ordered Thai hot). There was a tiny green onion and a few pieces of chicken floating around in there. They used to be better but this was like something from Costco.
Massaman curry was delicious!
One of my favorite Pad Thai places. Service has always been good and fast.
Amazing Pad Thai.
What a great dinner. Fantastic curry.
Very tasty food and amazing service.
Green Curry, Pad Thai, and cream cheese wontons were all amazing.
My first time!!
I really enjoyed it!
This used to be our go to spot (on Fridays )prior to Covid and today we visited the restaurant and we are very happy with food . Food tasted very good . We tried crab cakes , pot stickers , Thai fried rice , curry fried rice , cashew chicken and pad kapow . They were all very tasty .
Delish drunken noodles!
They got my order wrong, but what I ended up with was delicious. Lunch special is good value
We get take-out from here a lot. Consistently delicious, fresh, great flavors
Everything about this place is really good. The food was great, so was the service and ambience. We ordered fried shrimp rolls wrapped in cream cheese which was really good. I wanted to order the special pad thai coz it looked so intriguing in the picture and I was amazed how good it tasted. My husband ordered the walleye curry, another special item on the menu and it tasted great too. Definitely recommend going here if you’re a thai food lover.
Came in on a Friday after afternoon. Food was great but service was slow. we waited about an hour for our dessert and decided to leave after never receiving it. We also never got it refunded.
Cute little dive with wonderful food! I've been here on and off for 20+ years. I guess the current owners have had the place for about 10 years. They food is close to the same as the prior owners, the portions and prices are good. I love fresh Spring rolls, and these do not disappoint! The pad Thai with pork was very good.
I had delivery today 04/04/2024 and it was disgusting, the pineapple fried rice was burnt. The white rice was old. The spring rolls was old and the green curry was nasty it felt canned i felt disrespected. For some reason i can’t add pictures
Very authentic - the drunken noodle was amazing!
Omg I am amazed
I’m not sure if they have new owners, but the food the last few months has not been good! We used to love to come here for drunken noodles and the last few times I’ve gotten a tasteless mound of noodles. No spice, no savory sauce. Just a pile of greasy tasteless noodles. We will be looking for a new place to go.
Been a favorite for 2 decades. Still our go to Sunday night “what are we having for dinner??” dilemma.
Always delicious food and a cozy atmosphere.
The presentation of the food was great. Service was attentive while we ate our lunch. Unfortunately, though everything looked delicious, the seasoning was mediocre. Serving size was generous, too. I would recommend that you try it for yourself. This restaurant would not be on my list of must come eat here again. :D Their pineapple fried rice used to be cheaper and not come in a pineapple, I would prefer the savings rather than the presentation.
Fantastic Thai food!
Promt and friendly service. Clean, pleasant, tasteful atmosphere. Excellent presentation, taste and all good freshly cooked. Superb quality at a very reasonable price.
The red curry is amazing.
Enjoyed most items - except maybe :( pad thai :(
Update : looks like the owners have changed and the recipes have changed along with them.
Maybe they'll be better in the future....
Fresh, authentic and fairly priced. Inside is like a old American diner with a Thai twist. Staff is professional and fast. Great spot for a lunch meeting.
Joy's Pattaya Thai Restaurant, Richfield. This cozy neighborhood establishment is like feeling comfy with friends, but being in a whole different world as soon as you walk through the doors… but home. Clean, basic menu is as welcoming, as the environment.
👍 Atmosphere 👍 Price 👍 Service 👍 Quality
The basil beef & shrimp was tasty. Would’ve liked more shrimp though. There were only 4 or 5 pieces in mine. Crab rolls were awesome!
Honestly, just an OK Thai food experience. We got the drunken noodle with chicken and it wasn’t very flavorful. The fresh spring rolls were awkward with the long stems of cilantro and other veggies hanging out the ends. The sauces it came with were not great. The most reliable thing we ordered was the cream cheese wontons. Good with delicious sweet and sour sauce, but doesn’t redeem the meal.
This is my favorite hole in the wall. The employees are always friendly and the food is amazing. I recommend the spring rolls and pad thai.
An added bonus is that they have great vegan options.
Cute little corner restaurant hidden in the neighborhood with amazing authentic Thai food. I tried their drunken noodle and pad Thai. And when they say Thai hot, it is really Thai hot. ❤️
Dina my waitress was outstanding. She was friendly, and she had a big group, but yet still gave the rest of the customers the attention they needed.
The food was Delicious.
My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for 40 years and it’s been a while since I’ve been here. I’m glad I returned.
I went with 2 family members and we had a great time. The lady who hosted and served us was so kind and patient. The place was decorated so beautifully but we were the only ones there. The food was so amazing!!! We ordered the Chicken Satay, Tom Kha Soup, Tom Kha Soup Noodles, and the Pas See Ew Noodles. The Jasmine Tea was so good too. We even stayed a while after paying and they didnt mind. Loved it!!!!
Fantastic food most authentic Thai food in Minnesota
Joy’s has great food with great service. I went during a rush and they were able to handle it with just two servers. The pho was really good.
We came here and ordered sea - food, when we were half way in the curry, we found beef in it, which we specifically ordered not to be put in the food.
I complained and returned the order, but they still charged us, I asked for the manager, and she said that as you have eaten we'll charge you.
I tried explaining that if the order is wrong, either you give me the right order, or you dont charge me for it, but she insisted, that she will call the cops.
I told her to go ahead and do that, at which she said ok then I'll make you a new order, but dont come here again.
I left the full amount, as well as the new prepared food at the register, and told them I would never come here again.
Its not about the money, not about the food, about the way you treat your customers!!!
NEVER coming here again, and will make sure none of my colleagues ever come here too!!
One of my favorite Thai places in the Twin Cities. Their pumpkin curry is delightful and the staff have always plated our meals nicely! Highly recommend!
I work down the street, we get joys anytime were craving thai and anytime I can I go in to have a nice lunch on my own I do. I've never had a bad experience here and we have been coming in for over a year now ! hard working people and AMAZING food.
They were busy, food was good but service had to be asked multiple times for things. Menus and placemats were sticky and outdated.
Was feeling ill and searched for restaurants in my area with pho on the menu and found them. Drove there around construction and when I ordered the waitress came back and told me that it wasn’t available and offered a different dish. Also drink I ordered was out of stock. After placing a takeout order of some appetizers, they ran out of sticky rice and had to substitute on one of my items. Bill ran over $50 and would not try again.
Cute quiet place. Food was great, even though main dish was a smaller serving than other local Thai places. Thai iced tea was one of the best I’ve ever had I could drink it by the gallon. Service was great. An item was missed on our order, and he made it right without delay. Definitely recommend
I went to Joys Pattaya restaurant for lunch today with my family - me, my husband, my son and my parents. My son doesn’t like Thai food and he did not eat anything and not even used the plate. The server finally handed over the bill with 18% gratuity. It was never told when we entered the restaurant. She kept saying if you are party of more than 5, we put gratuity but when I told that we are just 5, she said still they put gratuity. I have never heard of 5 people is considered as large group and gratuity is applied. Its so common to have a family of 5 members here. This is so ridiculous and I will never go back here. The quantity is not worth the price too. Beware of them applying gratuity without your knowledge!!
Love this restaurant!! The staffs are super friendly. Today I order Khao Soi one of the new recommended menu, honestly, I am not a fan of this menu but Khao Soi is very great!!! I ate it all even the juice 😋. Can’t wait to go back and eat this menu again. I would recommend Pad Thai as well, the taste of it is the most similar to Pad Thai in Thailand compare to all Thai restaurants in MN.
My favorite thai restaurant in MN !!!
Fair price and perfect food amount my favorite one is the crunchy crabs rolls, papaya salad that come with crispy pork rinds can’t forget to mention super tasty Padthai and the wings i can go without the sauce because it already taste good without dipping the sauce teehee i mean if i wanna write down all of the stuff i love would be so long but anyway highly recommended!
Wonderful service they serve the food with nicely and kindly and check on you perfectly!
Definitely be back again and again ! 😁❤️
As usual this place is always serves amazing food. They might have up and down in food taste sometimes but it’s always delicious. Love each and every dish they have. You can try any dish they have. Make sure there spice levels are pretty spicy so be careful when you order.
Thai wings - 5/5
Basil fried rice 5/5
Shrimp wraps 5/5
Soup 5/5
Pannag curry 5/5
Chicken dumplings 4/5
Curry fried rice 4/5
They maintained the place very well and the service is also really good.
Got the Tom yum veggie..super good!!! I've read other reviews here saying that it's over priced and under portioned and I totally disagree. Fairly priced for fair portions! Just because it's Thai food doesn't mean it 'ought' to be cheap. Vibe inside was lovely and staff were friendly. Would definitely come again next time I'm in town.
Best Thai around!
Best food in town pineapple shrimp fried rice is addictive super delicious best service soups appetizers and the fortune cookie is not like you’re use to promise go check it out ans enjoy the love of Thai food
Super good food for the price and nice service, the place looks well kept and I overall loved my experience there, would absolutely eat here again ❤
It's a nice small place. Great food and good service. Will be coming back here. Got the Chicken Laab and sticky rice.
A wonderful local Thai restaurant. They have prompt friendly service and delicious food. I got there fresh spring rolls and chicken Pad Thai. Both were excellent. The spring rolls came with mango in them which was an interesting addition if you weren't expecting it.
The food was very good and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was very nice, and with the typical Asian style ambient music. The staff was very attentive, friendly and above all provides many recommendations on the menu. This place was definitely worth a try. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for new experiences with different foods than usual
I would have to agree with the others poster who said this is the best that in Twin Cities. Can't wait to try more dishes. The green curry tastes like it does in Thailand.
So delicious! Shrimp Pad Thai and Sweet & Sour Chicken are amazing; I can’t wait to go back and try the red curry. Vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Yummy yum!!
Incredible experience! I’ve never had such amazing Thai food before. My husband and I came for my birthday and we had crab rolls, pad Thai, Tom ka soup, and chicken satay. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was really nice too, and the service was excellent. I can’t wait to come back. Don’t pass this place up, it’s phenomenal.
Ordered the papaya salad & green curry and it tasted so bland. The portions you get are so small compared to other thai restaurants. Not worth the money. Will not be going back.
Food is good but a bit pricey
Love this place. Love the food. Love the staff. My friends and I always get take out and have a beer at their tiny bar while we wait for our food. You can get your food spiced from 1 to 5. If you are a true spice head like me do not let the 5 scare you. They need a secret pro spice level. This is not a criticism, as someone who loves the burn it's hard to find a place that truly has something that is hard for me to eat. Whatever they use though is some of the tastiest spiciest food I've had in the city and surrounding area! The flavor is AMAZING!!!!
Good food, good service. I would go back.
Loved the food here!
Good Thai, friendly staff
Delicious
There is far better Thai food in the Twin Cities.
Title: Struggling with Expectations: Joy’s Pattaya Thai Restaurant Review
On the Fourth of July, when most eateries were shut tight, we found solace in Joy’s Pattaya Thai in Richfield. This fact alone deserves commendation, given the limited options available on a national holiday. Yet, despite their willingness to serve on such a day, our experience was tinged with a measure of disappointment. Considering the mixed experience, we feel a rating of three out of five stars is fitting.
Our anticipation was high when we arrived at 7 PM, expecting an hour of service left based on the advertised closing time of 8 PM. Unfortunately, we were informed that the kitchen was closing early, despite an empty dining room. This was a point of contention, as proper communication about their operating hours, especially on holidays, would have saved us from unnecessary disappointment.
However, we must give credit where it's due. On requesting takeout, the staff changed their stance and agreed to serve us, a flexibility that we genuinely appreciated. The ambiance, although a tad dark and lacking in vitality, didn't deter us from our Thai food craving.
The ordering process hit a snag when, after a 20-minute wait, we were told that the restaurant had run out of rice, a staple in any Asian cuisine. This was not just surprising, but disappointing, given that it wasn’t communicated earlier. An additional wait after changing our order further added to our frustration.
That being said, the quality of the food was quite satisfying for the price point, indicating that Joy’s Pattaya Thai might be a more suitable option for takeout or delivery rather than dining in.
In summary, our experience at Joy’s Pattaya Thai was a mixed bag. We applaud their decision to remain open on the Fourth of July, providing a service when most other restaurants did not. However, the issues with operation hours and service indicate room for improvement. It's our sincere hope that Joy's Pattaya Thai can address these issues, as their food quality, and willingness to serve on a holiday, hint at a potential yet to be fully realized.
This was my first time visiting Joy’s. Delicious food and Thai iced tea. We tried the vegetable spring rolls, chicken pad see yew, and chicken pad thai. Good prices and the service was great, server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
I discovered this charming gem when my usual Thai restaurant was closed. The pad-thai was the best I’ve had in years! We will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes on the menu. The service was wonderful and fast.
As an Indian I was craving for some spicy food….. this place made my day….. delicious food they served customised to my pallet …. Must visit guys
SO good.
This restaurant shows a lot of wear. Food is good but not great. I did really like the spring rolls.
Chicken pad Thai had a burnt taste and spice level 2 was too spicy.
John was my server. He did a great job. Staying near by and had the panang pumpkin curry. Plum wine. And ichiban...will definitely be back before I leave town. Reminded me of a place back home. Good bang for your buck imo.
Not usually in this area, but was hungry and decided to stop by. My sisters and I got the green curry, drunken noodles, and Thai jerky. My sister said the drunken noodles were a bit too salty, but I personally liked them, since I like salty. Green curry was really good, but wish it had more meat, only had like 4 slices of pork. I got the Thai jerky and it was really good- my sisters liked it more than I did. Wish the portion was bigger though. Had about 8 pieces of jerky for $13. Waiter was super nice!
Joys is phenomenal. Nothing like a hole in the wall experience that results in chatting up the owners and fantastic eats. Better than expected and very pleasantly surprised.
Great service. Curry was excellent.
Favorite place to get pad thai. They can make the pad thai vegan and it is a weekly favorite now. Nice people and a cute relax atmosphere
Always very kind and respectful and professional
Not my favorite Thai. I ordered the laab with chicken and it had way too many onions so I didn't finish it. I tried the drunken noodles and it was just meh. I love fish sauce, but they seem to use it excessively in some of their dishes. The flavors should be more balanced. We also weren't asked for spice level on any of the 4 dishes we ordered which seemed odd. I prefer Taste of Thaiyai in Apple Valley.
Very good food, medium spice was probably closer to hot, but I will be back
Good service
Freaking delicious green curry! I can’t wait to go back and try some other things.
Food was so good
Will definitely go back
I had red curry which was tasty. Service was also really good. Only the tea was sort of weird.
Fast accurate service, well lit window table, very nice plates & utensils.
Person taking our order asked if we had any questions on the food and what spiciness we wanted it at.
