Relaxed, contemporary storefront restaurant serving a menu of locally sourced Thai dishes.
This place is a 3.5 for me with the possibility of climbing to a 4. Here's why... I ordered pad thai, added some thai basil and snap peas. It is supposed to come with bean sprouts. You physically have to check a box if you dont want them. I double checked my order... I did NOT check that box. I should have got bean sprouts...My pad thai did not include bean sprouts. I pay extra for ingredients.
Seems fair. But I take issue when restaurants short you on ingredients you are supposed to get with your order.
Otherwise, what people say here i found true. Fast carry out service. Pleasant experience with the person giving me food. The sauce flavor of the pad thai was good. I added a little extra lime (and mint) from home and it was bright and delicious. The spring rolls were stuffed full and with fresh ingredients.
All in all, I'd be willing to try this place again, but would hope they got my order correct...
If you're looking for big portions and cheap food, this may not be what you're after. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, but the higher prices are my only complaint about this place. You pay for the artful preparation, the freshness, and the incredible flavor.
The spring rolls were lovely and VERY flavorful with a rice paper wrap much thicker and softer than I've ever had before and warm savory peanut sauce with a kick. The pot stickers were also delicious, soft and crispy. The stir fry has a surprisingly semi-sweet sauce and the shrimp were moist and tender. My dad described the curry as a succulent, savory, blend of spices and vegetables and said the crispy fish had a nice light texture.
I have tried few other Thai restaurants , but this one is the best . The presentation of food is 5 star , taste is authentic as it gets and fresh , quality is best as well as quantity .
Outdoor seating is available , have lots of beer and wine variety for those who drink , quite place .
We asked for medium hot and it was exactly how much hot (spice)we wanted . The other restaurants we went was always way more hot (spice)even for medium level than we could handle .
Jasmine tea was good combination with pad see yew , chicken satay and spring rolls .
The server was really nice and friendly considering the fact that we needed her help with all the mess our toddler was making , very helpful and considerate .
Again ... If you are in Eden prairie and want some really tasty Thai food , good ambience and helpful staff this is the place for you .. no doubt on that .
Definitely visiting this place again!!!
Con: no activity papers for small kids as other restaurants give .
Delicious food, attentive service. Only reason holding back from 5 star was that several dishes had run out: green curry, and chili oil as two examples. Otherwise, outstanding.
Note spice levels are toned down for a typical American palate. If you're seeking truly hot spice level, go for the Thai Hot. In fact, you may need to kick it up with extra siracha or chili.
Would return, next time in greater Minneapolis area.
Cream cheese wontons - 4/5. Tasty but very small portion.
Pad Thai (Tofu) - 3/5. The tofu was super crispy and yummy. The actually noodles weren’t flavorful enough. Additionally, the spice was untraceable (even though I ordered it at “Thai hot” level)
Service - 1/5. super super slow. We waited for over an hour for our food and got super hangry. The waiter didn’t stop by with any updates and evaded us until we got food. People who ordered take out got food well before we did. Disappointed with the way they handled the delay.
Heard quite a bit about this place from friends. Was very disappointed. The basil and pineapple fried rice were flavorless - hardly any vegetables and tasted like two day old fried rice. Tofu was added on top but without mixing it into the sauce and so it too was just fried flavorless tofu. If I could, I would give them 0 stars.
We ordered the food as takeout. What I felt I got was some leftovers from the other night that they tossed a bit of pineapple into.
I only wish I had taken photos before the family decided to dig in. Talk about a complete waste of money.
I'll add in one bit: It seems my family has been here once before. The food at that time was very fresh and delicious. That is in part why they insisted we try the food today as well. Needless to say, we aren't going to try their takeout ever again.
Gas
Excellent Thai food must try if on the area
Used to always stop here just for the eggrolls. Something changed with the recipe. It's not as good as it once was. :(
Fed a crowd, it was all delicious! Good gluten-free friendly options, even kids meal options. Will be coming back for more!
Food was delicious but for the price serving sizes were very small
Paid $17 for garlic shrimp and barely had 7 small shrimps in a small container with some broccoli
Super disappointed
Stopped here on whim, was delightfully surprised how good it was🤙🏽
The basil fried rice is really good. They actually fry the rice. Pad Thai was good too. Drunken noodles (pad kee mo) was ok, not a lot of taste.
This is our go-to Thai place. Food is consistently good.
So sad to see the decline of this restaurant. Food was still amazing, but they have no table service anymore. There's a small sign at the door that says as much, but it's easy to miss and the staff didn't do anything to correct us even after our group of 5 sat and waited at the table. We put in our order at the counter, but expected to be served on plates. No, just a brown paper bag and our name yelled loudly.
Stop here to order some good to-go food, but don't dine in and don't expect much from the staff.
Worst place I've eaten in years. Prices very high for what we got. Terrible service. No service is more like it. Food served in plastic to go container, but we were eating in. Had to get our own silverware and water. Wait person was the worst I've ever seen. He knew nothing. Could not get the tab right. Not one thing went well at this place.
Loved the Tom yum soup!
Didn’t like the pad thai at all! The egg wasn’t cooked properly and it smelled very bad.
WONDERFUL service and food! We had 17 meals we ordered for a work function and they were great to work with and the food was delicious! Highly recommend if you are wanting some good Thai!
This place needs to shut down completely. They’re only open for takeout since Covid but the food quality is dying a slow health. If you’re looking for , tasteless, bland and uninspiring food, then this is your place. I’ve tried them three different times to see if I just got a bad meal the first time but as it turns out they consistently turn out poor food. Avoid
Best Thai food! You can taste the mint and basil in certain dishes. I will definitely be back!
Our first meal from this restaurant since before the pandemic, and it was a disappointment. We ordered our two favorite dishes, and neither was as good as a what we remembered. The pad thai was lacking in any of the fresh flavor it used to have; instead it tasted like something served in a North Dakota church. The beef in the Masaman Curry wasn't nearly as tasty as it's been in the past. Sorry to say, this place is no longer on our takeout list.
Went to dine in but that is not an option. It was take out only
Lovely thai food place in Eden Prairie. The food is fresh and delicious, and the staff are friendly.
Not a woman friendly environment.
A great local independent restaurant with quality always in mind, I've had a few menu options but really love the pad ki mow with beef and thai spice heat level, try it you wi not be disappointed.
Good thai food. I ate spicy green curry with tofu and it was great
So delicious we love the food and the service! Amazing!!
One of my favorite places to order from. Their curries are amazing and their noodle dishes are great. They are wonderful at accommodating gluten free needs too. Always love my food from here!
I have been her many times already and I really enjoy the food.
Had yellow curry with chicken, very good.
Hardly any veggies included in any of the entrees but otherwise it's delicious.
Great food! I've had the Pad Thai several times 👍
Pretty dece
Couldn't order due to no dine in and we didn't care to eat in our vehicle.
Best yellow curry in town. Quality of food is wonderful and knw request to have chili oil in the menu
Nice Spicy Thai Food. The chicken is White Meat and Hi Quality. We got the Potstickers, the Chicken Pad Thai, and the Spicy Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice.
It appears that Take Out is the only option currently.
Get it spicy!
I've been looking for a great Thai place in Eden Prairie and I'll have to keep looking. This was better than your typical Chinese food fare, not so greasy, but we're far from blown away. The edamame was okay, but rather bland (could use some salt at least). The pot stickers were the best of the items we ordered. The pineapple fried rice was infuriating - as others have mentioned you literally have to check a box and pay an extra $0.50 for all the things that are SUPPOSED to come in pineapple fried rice, driving up the price. We added in baby corn and shredded carrot - we received LITERALLY 2 pieces of baby corn and ~1 tbl of carrot! Baby corn is my kids' favorite and they were very upset (as was I for paying $0.25 per baby corn). We also got the cashew shrimp and garlic beef - the flavor was great on these, but the portion size was ~half of what we expected for the ~$15.00 price tag. *Sigh*, we will probably order from here again regardless though, as its the best given a lack of options for Thai food in Eden Prairie.
Be careful when ordering. I got the Thai fried rice. On their website there's a picture of a beautiful bowl of fried rice with egg, scallions, etc. What you get is a bowl of brown rice (fried) with the protein of your choice mixed in, no vegies, no egg, nothing. As it turns out, if you want to have those things in your rice you have to pay $.50 for each of them....not horrible, but pretty soon it adds up and you have a $20 order of fried rice. What a joke.
Super friendly staff offered to bring order out to vehicle when it was ready rather than have me loitering in the restaurant. Effected a vehicle repair in the time that freed up!
Decided to give this another shot after a 4-year hiatus. I was disappointed with all dishes lacking in flavor. The tom yum soup had no tamarind in it - no flavor. The pad thai had no peanuts in it and no salt. The chicken and shrimp stir fry was okay again very low in salt and overall lacking in flavor. When I'm looking for Thai food I'm trying to get some good flavor and this was this extremely bland. Very disappointed.
So so
Seriously the best Thai food have had in years! Even my 3 year old and 5 year old downed the Pad Thai and Pad See Yew.
For me the Green Curry was perfect! I can't wait until we order from here again.
Update: why are you still reading reviews?! Go order some of their frustratingly good curry!
Have done both dine-in (pre-covid) and take out. The best Thai food in the SW metro and possibly even the twin cities. Service is always quick and everyone is super friendly. Great atmosphere when able to dine-in. Recommend the sautéed cashews, pad Thai, and pineapple fried rice.
Wonderful food and service!
Kinda bummed on this last visit. This local spot has had consistently good pad thai for years. Unfortunately lately the service has been poor, and my order on this occasion was incorrect. They also forgot the lime (which I specifically asked for) and crushed peanuts.
The food is good, but Thai hot it is never spicy. Wish the curry was spicier, it's too sweet.
Excellent food! We use it when we host parties but do not feel like cooking!
Food was pretty good but for the price I expected bigger portions.
We enjoyed our excellent takeout food from Lotus Leaf tonight. Excellent food. Quite pricey for the portions, but worth it.
Horrible service food was bad they mess up my order she was rude on the phone never again
Panang curry is my favorite. The fried tofu and egg rolls are good too.
Very average food
Great tasting food. I felt a bit pricey but good just the same. Called ahead and takeout was ready when promised.
Sitting in my car waiting for carry out at 9pm which was supposed to be ready at 8. The food might be decent but I also might never find out. For $90 in curry I would expect better service.
The only Thai place in the metro that has good quality Thai food!
Doordash driver here- Lotus Leaf is one of the easiest and friendly restaurants to pick up from. They are the gold standard for other restaurants, thank you guys.
Great food, got the tofu green curry. Great even leftover. Chicken egg rolls should NOT be ignored.
Lotus Leaf restaurant serves very tasty food in generous quantity. We tried the shrimp and chicken basil and it was delicious!
We love Lotus Leaf! Wonderful every time!
Good food, good price.
Tom yum soup, pad key mao and panang curry is the besttttt!!!!
Love the curries!
The best Asian food that I’ve had in the Twin Cities. Excellent staff!!
Very tasty food. Love it. Hidden jewel. I crossed it many times and when i finally ordered food my family loved it.
All in all, I'd be willing to try this place again, but would hope they got my order correct...
Chicken Pad Thai and Penang Curry were great .
Best Thai in the Twin Cities!
Bland, so so bland.
Every time we order from Lotus Leaf, we are always satisfied. The Panang Curry is a must-try if you like sweet and savory. The food is priced for the quality. A little more expensive but excellent quality ingredients. Try this little spot for take out, they are just great.
Have only had carry out from here but I find everything fresh and delicious. My go-to dishes are the chicken potstickers and pad se yew. The potstickers are my favorite I’ve found in the twin cities: crunchy and flavorful. And the pad se yew is at the top of my list as well. If you like heat - the spicy cashews are very tasty and addictive.
The food was delicious. My daughter and I got the spring rolls, edamame, pad thai, and garlic shrimp. The sauce for the spring rolls had curry in it which was really good and different from the typical peanut sauce. I like spicy food and ordered the pad thai hot spice. I could have gone spicier so next time I go there I'll get spicier.
I waited over half hour (and I still didn’t get it) for my order and all what guy behind the counter said was: Sorry, I don’t know what to say to you
Never will come back here and not recommending to anyone
Such good food, I love eating here.
One of the best Thai food I’ve had!
Recommend the yellow and green curry! Oh and the fried banana with ice cream was delicious!
Excellent fresh food! We ordered the cream cheese wantons of course, parang curry with tofu, pineapple fried rice with chicken, and cashew chicken. We accidentally got spring rolls which we ate and they were fantastic so would order again.
Good food, good service. Perfect portions!
We ordered off the lunch menu, and LOVED every bite. I got the potato chicken curry with medium spice. Best Thai food we have had in the Twin Cities. Highly recommend. The only minor problem was it took about 40 min to get our food, but there was a large group right ahead of us so that may have been the issue. Otherwise, food, atmosphere and prices were all fantastic.
Food was good but service was sub par. Food took a long time to come to the table and server was ignoring us when we tried to get an explanation regarding where the food was.
Their food tasted great. We got the spring rolls, edamame, and shrimp pad Thai. Server was attentive and courteous. Would definitely recommend, and looking forward to next time!
Great flavor! We stopped by for lunch and the turn around from order to plates on the table was very SLOW. We hope that was an anomaly as the food is so good. We will try again to test this.
Loved the fresh spring rolls, crispy wonton rolls, spicy basil fried rice with tofu! I had the best fried tofu here. I'm not kidding, I love tofu and am not too pick about it in any way, but this tofu was prepared so perfectly, I'd return just for that!!!! Great beer prices as well! Can't wait to bring more friends here! Thanks!!!
The service and food was quite good. The "hot" is quite reasonable. I'd love to try thai hot next time. Wished I had seen a squash curry. Also would be nice to "pick a protein".
We've been eating here since it opened, and typically really like the food. Especially the curries: Masaman is amazing! The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. My only issue is with the Pad Thai, as I'm used to more flavor from older establishments around town.
However we really appreciate their dedication to recyclable/compostable containers, as we do backyard composting whenever we can, and locally sourcing ingredients. Ethical choices!
Always enjoy the food, especially the spring rolls.
If you're looking for big portions and cheap food, this may not be what you're after. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, but the higher prices are my only complaint about this place. You pay for the artful preparation, the freshness, and the incredible flavor.

My dad described the curry as a succulent, savory, blend of spices and vegetables and said the crispy fish had a nice light texture.
They seem to use quality fresh ingredients, which makes for good flavor, and the cooks are good, but a little conservative with the spice level. Thai hot here will not burn your face off, like most other thai restaurants. The Pad Kee Mow is excellent!
Some of the freshest, most flavorful thai food I've ever had -- really recommended the panang curry and pad see yew
Delish & fab service! A+
Nice decent food, good service. Hard spicy isn't really spicy. If you like spicy food, try thai spicy.
If want to try fried rice, stir fry or yellow curry it's a decent place to go. Small place but you can still find room to sit.
Got the chicken curry lunch. While it was flavorful, there was not a lot of chicken but mainly potatoes in the curry. The eggroll was good, but a bit oily. Great value for the amount of food, but nothing stand out flavor-wise.
It was pretty good; I thought the portion sizes were on par with the price. I ordered Thai level spice, but the Pad See Ew wasn't quite spicey enough. My co workers did enjoy the lunch specials served, so I would say we'll be back!
Waited for 20 minutes for take out, then the staff looks at the orders on the counter and calls my name. Unbelievable! While the food is awesome, the lack of customer service is going to put this place out of business. Be ready to be disappointed in the customer service.
Awesome food. Best cheese wontons I have ever had.
Service was good and food was descent. I would recommend trying.
Great food. Friendly service. Highly recommend this little gem.
Fantastic Thai food and a great staff, I recommend stopping by for Authentic Thai cuisine!
It took 48min just to get my spring roll. There chef or service suck bad.... the food for 48min of wait just for spring roll and 1hr 15 for my main dish . Do not come here I know it might be the only thai restaurant close by please they need help for better service. The food good but it not the service in the front they need help cooking the food I like the food it more like thai food to asain people..
Went to Lotus Leaf on a Saturday 9/21/19 at 7:30p. Prime time restaurant hours. Waited to be sat for a good 5 minutes with no acknowledgement. The place was busy and 4 tables were empty and dirty. Server finally said hello and stated that it would take a good hour to get our food. Ok, so 8:30ish, place closes at 9. Then she said the owner doesnt want to take any more people and we were sent away. Wow. 7:30 on a Saturday night and turned away. Saw another couple be turned away while driving off. How are there so many good reviews? Well, I guess they actually got to try the food. Needless to say, I will never go back.
Went to Na's Thai Cafe and had a great meal.
I guess Lotus Leaf hates money.

So good! The prices were what I expected for their food. We got a table fast, but our waiter was kind of slow. It was awhile before they came back to take our order. The place was clean and had a near atmosphere. I recommend the spicy pad Thai, be ready for a kick though!
So far I found this to be a great place for lunch. It has pretty quick service and the food was good. The menu has pretty classic Thai items and the quantity is just about perfect.
We had an awful experience at the restaurant. Arrived at 1130 and paid at 12:50. It took them more time to prepare the food than we spent eating... We got there, placed our orders. Nothing complicated, and the menu is not that extensive so basic soup, curry etc. It took 40 minutes for our to come out. 20 for soup and another 15-20 for main course. What was surprising was that the people who came before us (table of 3, table of 2, table of 1) got their main course before us. How?? They were understaffed so I guess I get why the wait for super super long , however I don't even think the orders were being given to the chef in the right order.
Anyways, food comes out , my Jungle curry was supposed to be Hot but it was super sweet and the chicken was under cooked. Just boiled and threw in the curry. I left the curry as is. Visiting here for work, so i'll say I am obvi not returning. However, I'd definitely try other places around before giving this place a shot. Just..not good.
Good food, a little expensive
Wonderful food
Great food
Fantastic Thai cuisine. Don't be afraid of the "Thai Hot" spice level...it's really good and not overbearing!
Food here is good. A little pricey for Thai IMO, but the location is conveniently right off the HW. The Pad See Yew is very tasty, but they opted for American instead of Chinese broccoli (which I prefer). Tom Yum also good. Has a good kick. Would come here again.
Hidden gem in Eden Prairie. Recommended.
Nice calm environment for having a meal. Very pleasant wait staff.
Spicy green chicken curry was wonderful. If you like spicy foods, this wasn't as spicy as I thought it should be. When people hear "Thai spicy" it is usually fire hot, so I got the next step down - wasn't spicy at all for my taste although I love spicy foods.
Spring rolls were great with fresh veggies, herbs and shrimp. Thai iced tea was good but a little sweet for me. Went well with the food. I would go again as would my sister who went with me.
Slightly expensive but delicious entrees. An Eden Prairie gem!
I moved here from Chicago 10 yrs ago where Thai options were plentiful and delicious. I’ve been disappointed from every Thai restaurant I’ve tried since. Until now. Delicious, high quality ingredients and reasonably priced! I just ordered it for the 5th time since discovering it on Door Dash :-)
Went for lunch on a Friday. They said it would be a short wait, it took 30 min to get a table. Food is good. Limited lunch specials but I still like them.
Great Thai close to home. Try the spring rolls or dumplings. Very good!
Awesome food
The food was great
Yes! 5 stars🤩
Ok , food was fresher thats a plus
Delicious food and great atmosphere
Great food, nice atmosphere. Great wait staff
I've been here a handful of times now. It has always been clean. The staff have been nice and give useful answers to questions. The menu had good variety but isn't overwhelming. Of the items I've tried they have been flavourful, well made dishes that keep I'm interested in trying more. It's worth trying if your in the mood for Thai style food. It's also worth noting the spice levels are on the mild side. If you want spicy, start with hot.
Great chinese food 👍
Great food! Portions are perfect, taste is on point and service is good.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant. The yellow curry is TO DIE FOR. Nothing compares.
Ambience should be improved.food was ok
Great curry. Nice moderate price and portions. We go here regularly.
We wanted to try the restaurant because of the good reviews. We ordered on the phone, were told food would be ready in 20 minutes. Showed up, 35 minutes later no food. Gave them my order name, 20 minutes later, no food, hostess came back asked for my name again thought I was the wrong person, 20 minutes later no food, couldn’t find the order, went into the kitchen found the order told me it would be another 20 minutes, now I m waiting for food. The hostess was nice enough to take off 20% off the order, and much of my rant is pure frustration and the food which I yet to try is probably delicious, and I m probably self centered in thinking that I really as a customer mean much compared to the hundreds of patrons who make there way into this fine establishment and my experience is probably an aberration in the service provided by this place. It I have to say this will be the last time I will be visiting this place...... my food is here, thank you for listening to me, I feel perhaps a little better.
Pad Thai was really good with perfectly cooked tofu. Takeout was fast. Nice, attractive place.
Simply amazing Thai food! It’s probably one of the best Thai food in the twin cities!
My team goes here for lunch often, and the waiters learned our usual orders very quickly. The yellow curry is my favorite
Delicious food, great atmosphere!
I gave an extensive review of specific dishes I had here but it seems to have been removed.
Yelp can you explain that?
Besides the taste, I so appreciate this restaurant commits to sourcing their meat from local animal conscious farms. I am a regular here.
