First time here, and I really enjoyed the food. They seem to do really well on take out as people kept coming in and out for food. We dined in, really enjoyed the pineapple fried rice it was different then all of the other Thai restaurants I've gone too. The sampler Platter was also delicious being able to try a few different things. My personal favorite was the soup that came with meal!

My family has frequented Sy Thai Shores for years. They have always been hospitable and have had wonderful food. One of the main reasons we choose Sy Thai Shores is their wide variety of curries and noodles to have made Vegan and Gluten-free. It's tougher to find places that can make it a dish both vegan and gluten-free; so I really appreciate their efforts to be inclusive of all regimens. This time around, we ordered V&GF Pad Thai with Tofu, V&GF Vegetables Curry with Tofu, Vegan Sy's Egggplant and she gave us a free Vegan Thai Tea made with only coconut milk to my brother because it was his birthday. Lisa is wonderful, always makes sure we get what we need and goes above and beyond in service. I highly recommend this restaurant for their admirable service and tasty food.

today 11/13/24 at 2pm called to place order. A young girl answered refused to take my order to pick up at 4:30. She refused to let me talk to a manager. I put the order in grub hub it went through then she cancelled my order said it was not available. I tried calling Sy Thai again at 4:25 to order and speak to a manager my phone number has been blocked.

Not only have me and my family been eating there every other week for last 3 years and I never had this poor service but I’m so upset I decided to go to Troy Sy Thai from now on. No way in hell will we be back. It’s so sad I used to refer to that place as the best. I guess new owners or something.

I immediately attempted to contact them via phone for at least 15 minutes without no answer. I call the next day to get a replacement and when I returned with the food they accused me of eating half of one of the dishes that had the hair in it. I advised them that the dish tray wasn’t even filled to the to begin with. They argued not to replace it and tried to make it seem as if it was my fault. As a paying customer and had never had any issues before shows me that you as a business only care to take my money and not resolve the issue that was created by your staff. I will not be patronizing this business any longer. BERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!

This is the single worst Thai food I’ve ever experienced (which is funny because it’s still a 4/10 just for being Thai food). If you do like this place, go to a mom and pop Thai place and prepare for your mind to be blown.

I was treated pretty bad when i called in to ask for an extra sauce next time i come in.. but was told i had to drive from home to get another sauce. I couldn't do that so instead in ended with a nasty exchange by way of the lady who handled the call. I'm pretty sad about it. it was just an easy solve.. but instead it ended as an ex customer! The inside looks nice but the carry out aspect is pretty lacking on customer service.

My rice was really tough and gamy and unfortunately you don’t get enough of the curry sauce and vegetables to help pool it over. So my meal was on the dry side. The crab Rangoon was ok.

Listen. This used to be THE best place to go. I don't know who they hired in the past year or so, but after the 5th, 6th, 7th chance, I'm done. Lunch time is usually great, but oh my God does nobody taste the food on the weekend???? Just makes me so sad 😭

Me and my mom ordered some appetizers because last time we went about a year ago it wasn't good. They definitely improved they finally got some cooks that know what they're doing. We got pot stickers, spring rolls, crispy shrimp and lettuce wraps. Everything was very good!! The service is always very good, Lisa is a big part of that restaurant. No matter how busy she is she makes sure you have everything you need. Refills, to go boxes whatever you need. I'm a little bummed this location doesn't have shrimp chips anymore they were yummy! Oh well, the Troy one has them, if you have a craving for them.

They gave us half of our takeout order but charged us the full amount. When I complained, the manager was rude and argumentative. I will not go there again.

This 3 star review is for this specific time only, usually At Thai is my go-to and 5 stars.
Got carry out on Christmas Eve to have later, Curry vegetable with beef, but when I opened it later in the day I found that it was full of pineapple. Everything else that was supposed to be there was there, but then also large chunks of pineapple. Which is a pretty strong flavor and doesn't really mesh with vegetables and spicy beef (in my opinion.) Tried to call them about it but they were closing early so just sort of ate around it. I was literally the only person there when I picked up so I don't think that the kitchen was especially busy to make this kind of weird mistake.

This was my first time at this restaurant and the service was outstanding! We didn't have to ask for anything. Our waiter anticipated everything we needed and had it waiting for us. This was a very good dining experience.

We came in to eat, wasn't busy at all. Our server was rushing to get us served, took the curry sauce my husband was using away before he was done eating. It seemed like she was in a rush to get us out of there.

I always have great costumer service at this location and have never had to wait too long for my pick up. In recent months I have noticed a decline in food quality/consistency. My family orders the same dish made vegan and every time it comes out with a different flavor, color, and consistency. We keep going back because when it’s good it’s good! But there’s always a few duds in between. I have addressed this issue once with the restaurant and they were prompt to replace the meal but it still wasn’t right. Been ordering at this location for the past two years and before that the Detroit location. I don’t know what’s changed but it’s a guessing game each time I order how the food will come out!

Update 7/23 - Front girls are very understanding but elderly lady is rude! Paid extra as always for a vegan meal. Came home it had egg in it. Call the next day because my order was picked up right before close and the best she offers is 15% the dish next time. All the years I’ve come here and they’ll lose a customer over a $15 meal. I come once a week and spend at least $50. Oh and the food is even worse quality than two years ago. My mistake to keep coming but I liked supporting local small businesses.

The food is delicious but the waitresses/owners that wait on tables always come off as annoyed that they have to be bothered by customers. I don't know if I'd keep going back if there was another place nearby that had such good food.

I've been dining at this restaurant since it opened. In the last year the quality of service has declined but the food was still good. This week the food was terrible and the service was beyond rude. It was down right disrespectful. My friend and I decided we will not be returning.

I used to eat here often. I guess it’s changed. I ordered drunken noodles with tofu. I got chicken instead in my carry out and it was so incredibly salty I couldn’t eat it. Really disappointing.

They commit fraud. Charged a meal to my credit card. Looked at my statement a week later and saw they added $5 to my bill without my authorization.

I got the mixed vegetable curry here with brown rice and it was good and competitively priced. It's a nice decor inside and they didn't mind that we stayed for some hours past lunch

They gave us the incorrect take out order and when we called the restaurant they refused to believe us. They wanted us to come back (from 30 min away) to prove it. Clearly there is poor management here. Very disappointing as we have been coming for many years.

Sadly, the food and service here has been declining for a while.

Most times I try to call for carry-out they don't even answer the phone.

I think they may have gone solely to Uber Eats. However nothing is listed on their website or Google to help customers.

Their food quality and consistency has also declined over the past couple of years, as well.

I ordered to TAKE OUT the vegetable red curry with chicken medium spicy twice because it was that good! Great mix of vegetables and perfect spices and spiciness. The price seemed much too high.

Used to love this place. Gone wayyyyy down hill. The absolute most basic thai food. I would rather drive 20 minutes to Alisa’s Thai Cafe in Warren to get authentic thai food.

I love Sy Thai Shores. Been a customer for years. The food is always tasty and well presented. However, of late, I've noticed that the Kow Pad and Cashew chicken was a little burnt. I'm hoping these are isolated events.

I used to enjoy this place a lot. However the past three times I've ordered from here the food has been only okay. I ordered hot each time and the dish came with no spice at all. The sauce from the dish was like water where in the past it was thicker and tasted well. Very unfortunate.

I’ve been going there for years and the last time couple times I’ve gone, the food has gotten worse. The udon noodle was super salty and not edible. Do not recommend.

Absolutely delicious! If you’re looking for a vegetarian option, the tofu fried rice with the tofu medium firmness and steamed is perfect.

Beware. They take care of all the Uber Eats orders first and what was originally a 35 min. wait became an hour just standing around. We’ve always loved this place. Not sure we’ll be back.

In years prior the containers would be packed solid, now the top one inch of the container is usually empty. I've bought both lunch and dinner and its the same amount of food. Sad because this was my go to place for years.

They were closed even though the hours on the door clearly stated they were supposed to be open. Very disappointed.

Ughhhh. This place is notttt good anymore :( this was the ONLY Thai place I looked forward to & top of my list to visit when I come back home. However this time.. it was just different. My favorite item on the menu is the spring rolls with their plums sauce. Usually the plum sauce is on point.. like no other plum sauce you’ve had. The perfect mix of sweet & spicy. It’s always been a thicker sauce too which I love but this time is was runny.. lacked flavor.. and the spring rolls were fat/soggy instead of crispy. I just feel like this is another place that’s been affected by the pandemic and I’m so sad. Hopefully next time I’m home they will have gotten it together. This would normally be close to a 5 star review but it’s just been slowly going down hill over the last 2 years.

I am rarely ever able to enjoy the sy fried rice, as I don’t eat pineapples, and 3/4 times, they acknowledge it and still put it in there. On the lower right of the photo, there are three pieces I found from just the top of the food, so only my friend got to enjoy this time.

The price increased but the portion size decreased the new containers aren’t half the size of the old u literally get a kid size portion. Looks like 2 maybe 3 scoops if that n the food is greasy it was better before they renovated

Idk what happened here! I ordered shrimp pad Thai, the noodles were mush and flavorless with very overcooked bubblegum textured shrimp. The appetizer platter was hard and overcooked. Absolutely disgusting. I also ordered a curried seafood dinner that was for my dad. This was his birthday dinner. $60 down the toilet, never again!

Grubhub was great! this review is about Sy Thai shores. Would have given 0 stars if I could. Before COVID, I was a regular at this restaurant (and Sala Thai). Hadn’t had their food for 2.5 years. So when I saw that Grubhub delivered from there I ordered the chicken pad Thai and spring rolls. HORRIBLE — the food is now sitting in the garbage. A total waste of money.

The pad thai tasted like noodles with a very sweet warm lemonade over it. No other flavors whatsoever.

I called to see if maybe someone made a mistake. The very nice staff became very rude when I told them about the food I received. I was told that the restaurant has changed ownership as well as sauces, and that sometimes the chef cooks and other times the manager. Apparently, the manager tried to make this. Also, they would give me 15% off if I wanted to try again-Seriously!?!

I will never eat from this place again. If you like authentic pad Thai, this isn’t it. You’d be much better off at Panda Express.

I tried this place today for the first time. I got the Pad Curry with Tofu, Medium Plus Spice Level. Everything was just as I asked: the exclusions were correct, the sauce had the correct amount of flavor, oil and heat. I do wish they added a bit more curry sauce, put curries in quart containers to make for easier cleanup. I will be back though.

I ordered the egg noodle dish and let me tell you it was plain noodles absolutely no sauce 4 carrots in the whole thing and here's the kicker my chicken had bone still in it! My spring rolls were even burnt. I called to tell them how bad the food was and do you think I got a call back?!? Nope. Time to find a new Thai place.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for lunch, the service was absolutely amazing and the food couldn't have been better. Atmosphere is very modern, clean and refreshing. Prices are reasonable, wait time was quick. Wholeheartedly would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine!

Sy’s Fried Rice 🔥🔥🔥

This place is OK, but nowhere near as good as it was years ago pre-renovation. For the longest time it was my go-to place for lunch at least once a week. The food and service were great but now not so much. Vegetables are often mushy, meats rubbery and overall, the food just doesn't taste as fresh as it once did. I'll still go here occasionally out of convenience, but I miss the old Sy Thai.

November 2nd 2021, sad to say because I have eaten here my times but the quality has gone way down. It's like Sy Thai isn't even trying. The dishes are very bland. The peanut noodle had no sauce on the noodles, dry noodles with a little peanut flavor and only 4 carrots in the entire dish and no peapods.

The first few times we ate here the food was great and we thought we had found our new Thai home. Then something happened. One visit the food tasted day old. The next it was so salty. Every visit was like going to a different place to eat.
