great food and staff. not your typical greasy Chinese food spot. sort of hidden away in the little strip plaza as you enter Market Basket. definitely worth the trip. always fresh ingredients not full of oil. they definitely pay attention to detail. food is always consistent never a bad meal.

Dined in with my infant. The wait staff was lovely. The vegetarian pad thai was flavorful. As others have noted, the portion size was on the small side. I definitely recommend this place if you are in Rowley!

Royal Orchid is hit or miss. At times the food has been very underwhelming. For example, Pad Thai that is cooler than room temperature and so packed in that you cannot eat it without cutting it using a fork and a knife. We’ve also had issues with spring rolls and crab Rangoon that are clearly not fresh because they are somewhat on the soggy side and cool. We have also on other occasions, found the food to be tasty and well cooked, but not consistently. Recommend checking out the food before leaving the restaurant when doing takeout. The key is to inspect each item.

Worst service we have ever had here. All we ordered was pad tai and chicken love. It took over an hour to get our food. The waiter just kept saying he was sorry. I swear peple that came in after us got better service.

Royal Orchid is the best thai food around! We have been going for years and have never had a bad experience. Everything is good from the pad thai, to the crab rangoons to the yellow curry. We absolutely love the service and have never had a bad meal. ALSO the lemon drop martinis are the best my mom and I have ever had. Be sure to get one when you dine in!

This place is such a hidden gem! We tried the fresh summer rolls, garlic shrimp, and Rowley Mango Curry. Everything was fresh and delicious and the staff was so friendly and gracious. Highly recommend!

What happened to this place? Portions for infants, cold and unappealing. It use to be a great place. I understand inflation and cutting costs but this was ridiculous. This was a to go order. If they ever served this while dining in, it would be sent back. Last time dining there.......

Very nice staff and good food!

This place is a true hidden gem. It’s location makes it easy to not notice and it has simple decor, but the food is authentic and excellent. The staff was impressively friendly as well. We had the fresh Thai Mussels appetizer with vegetable curry and garlic salmon as mains. All three were delicious. Highly recommend.

Good food

First time trying here for lunch. I ordered the spicy pad Thai. The restaurant was extremely clean and the decor was very pleasant. Staff was very nice. The pad Thai was very good, much better than other places I’ve been. I’m looking forward to trying a few more dishes. I would recommend to anyone who likes Thai food.

Good Drunken Noodles

Very good Thai food. You need to try the green papaya salad. If you've ever been to Northeast Thailand you know that that is More popular than pad Thai. But both are street food not restaurant food in the kingdom of Thailand. I enjoyed it very much not quite a substitute for my favorite restaurants in Thailand but made me feel good

Don't know when the last review was, but I think they have gone down hill. Lady at front is far from pleasant.....don't know whether she was worse on the phone when I placed my order or in person when I picked it up. Both encounters were unpleasant. Food was only fair and not cheap.

A gem in the suburbian rough. Items on the menu are fresh and full of great flavors. Who could have guessed that this place existed in the small town of Rowley, but it is worth the stop. Menu has plenty of Thai options to choose from and provides the light, flavorful meals that you would expect.

I ordered delivery over an hour ago, they closed their phones 15 minutes before closing the restaurant, and my food isn't here. They've now been closed for 20 minutes. I paid with a card too, so I've been charged $23 to be hungry.

dry chicken wings with a lot of fat, 5 small dumplings, I asked for an extra sweet sauce 2 times, they forgot. Woman taking phone orders was rude. I gave most of the chicken wings to my dog. Best of Luck

I love this place. Have been several times over a few years, usually on Sat. This last visit, was a birthday treat. Always a very pleasant experience. Wide selection of appetizers, I love the wings. The curries and crispy duck are wonderful. The staff is exceptional. Happy that I live close by.

I love this place. Went there today with friends. The food looks as good as it tastes. It is not very big, so it is usually quiet. But we usually go for lunch.

Upon arrival wait staff was very pleasant, and the decor is very nice but the food itself is not good. The food took a long time to arrive at our table. I had ordered the mussels. When I bit into the mussels I discovered that they were frozen solid. I pointed this out to the waitress and made her touch the middle of one, of which she agreed and they made another in the kitchen. The fact that they use frozen seafood when being so close to the ocean is very questionable. This is a classic pig in lipstick situation. The place looks very nice from the outside but the food itself is subpar.

The Royal Orchid pays all due attention to creating a pleasant atmosphere and to the cleanliness of their restaurant, and the presentation of the food leaves nothing to be desired.

The food itself was good, but my favorite Thai appetizers - fried tofu and crispy vegetarian Thai rolls - were served in small portions and many of the sauces were less flavorful than I've ever tasted at any Thai restaurant. The Thai roll flavor was better than average, and the Thai iced tea is amazing here - exceptionally strong and sweet.

Overall, this is a nice place to eat, but if you're looking for really good Thai food in this area, try the Thai Spice Kitchen in Ipswich or Andaman Thai in Newburyport.
