While I have been coming here for many years the service since Covid has gone dramatically down hill. The food is still pretty good, which is why 2 stars and not 1. About a month ago I tried making a delivery order and I usually leave a tip in cash to the driver when they get here. I didn’t use the cc tip option. I noticed my order was cancelled within 2 min of ordering. I called and asked why and was told it was because I didn’t leave a tip. My $50 order was cancelled because I didn’t leave a cc tip. Then more recently I ordered take out on a Sunday evening. When I went in the place was empty and I asked if I could sit down with my takeout order and get a bubble tea and eat there. I was told as long as I was prepared to give the server a tip. I couldn’t sit and order a drink and eat the food that was already prepared for me and already paid for unless I paid a service fee. At a completely empty restaurant. As a 20 year restaurant industry veteran, I was both offended and bewildered how this “demand for tips” is tolerated at this restaurant. You have lost a former long standing customer.

I can tell this is the real deal. Authentic and affordable Thai food compare to other Thai restaurants I tried. I love the Tom yum soup very tasty & pad thai noodle. The service is top notch & friendly atmosphere. I would love to go here often but I live in Boston..

The waiter asked me to get out to turn off the car headlights because it shines on her eyes.

The chicken was not cooked properly and was tasting very rough. The seafood was old. We used to like this place but after this experience we won’t come back.

This is a hidden gem in Newton. Great service, very friendly and attentive. Also a great spot for takeout. The red curry is fantastic.

We order from Manow regularly. Ingredients are always fresh and our meals are always delicious.

The space to eat here isn't bad, but be aware there is no restroom. Which I don't understand the legality of, but in the end what really counts is the food. And by not bad I mean it seems clean, not that eating here is any kind if decent experience.

Which having been here 3 times, trying something new each time, the food is sub-par. This last time I ate here, I ate the seafood prik pow. Didn't even come with the scallops that it was supposed too. Just a pile of bell peppers cut too large, with 6 peices of seafood. Like 3 shrimp and 3 calamari. Sitting on a plate of grease.

Shameful they charge $20 for such garbage.

I'm done giving them chances. They only thing they do consistently is disappoint.

Also, not a hint of spice. Forget the spicy level of however many peppers it says on the menu. Assume a spiciness level of zero on all things.

I won't be coming back.

Very clean, excellent, friendly and prompt service. We had fried rice, pad thai and pak prik. All very nice! The crispy rolls were perfection.

Awesome Pad Thai and crab rangoon

We tried the Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew. Both were delicious! Great taste, and fresh. They are quick to your order and attentive. We plan to go back for more. Try the basil garlic eggplant. Its got a brown soy sauce that hits the spot with a big pile of rice!

We've been ordering takeout from here for the past three years. I believe this is one of the best Thai restaurants in the area! The food is always on point and ready quickly. I highly recommend the noodles and curry dishes as well. You won't be disappointed!

Ordered their chicken satay, pad thai and red curry last evening. The chicken satay was way too tough. The pad Thai with chicken strips tasted like it had been cooked in some old, recycled oil. The red curry with salmon was very good. One out three dishes being good and edible doesn't make this a place that I would want to order from again :-(

Underwhelming flavors with higher prices for limited/small portions. I got 2 shrimp, and a few small slices/rings of squid and a few slices of water chestnuts in my seafood Cashew Nuts Lunch Combo. Mostly all peppers and onions in sauce. Crispy rolls were crispy but not much flavor and not much filling. for No atmosphere grade because I got take out.

Food was hot and fast, the curry was disappointingly sweet with very little kick and mostly soupy. This place could be great with mire spice and more v veggies in their curry. pad thai was not bad.

Small clean restaurant with about 8 dine in tables and take out. We ate in on a Thursday night with no wait. Good atmosphere and friendly quality service. Had ground Chicken Kapow with fried egg, massaman chicken curry, and kaugai noodles with tofu. First two were excellent, especially Kapow (right amt of spice egg done right etc).

Great experience. The vibe is awesome and cozy. Our server was attentive and helpful with suggestions for vegetarian guests.

This is by far the best Thai place in the area! The service is always super friendly and the food is incredible! They give you hefty portion sizes for a great place! All of the noodle dishes are next levels and the curries always hit the spot! HIGHLY recommend!

Worst Thai food I’ve ever had.., soup was purely water with coconut milk, wrong veggies(by the way in Thailand they use shitake mushroom not regular ones, and for sure not tomatoes) and worst part was no lemongrass, ginger and one shrimp. Not sure this restaurant knows this soup needs chili to balance the sweet. Pad Thai is so dry it’s hard to swallow and extremely bland... Sad sad excuse of a Thai restaurant

Our go to takeout place for Thai food in the MetroWest area. Can't say enough about the authentic and balanced flavors for each dish.

The food was amazing!! We got crispy pad thai, pad see yew, chicken larb, and tom yum soup. Everything was fantastic. We weren’t expecting the larb to be so spicy (and I like spicy food) but the flavor was still great. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Good service: friendly, prompt water refills. Crab Rangoon and Indo rice with chicken was tasty. Cold due to drafty door despite the curtain. Rad Nar noodles were so bad we didn’t take more than a few bites, and both of us really don’t like wasting food. I’ve had Rad Nar before and loved it. Not sure why this one was so distasteful.

I must admit, I used to be a die-hard coconut cafe fan, but after their management change, I think newton has a new best thai place.

Real taste of Thai. This small cozy Thai restaurant provides you big potion of tasty Thai foods compared to the price. The staffs are very friendly, I’m going back again for sure.

We have been here once before on a lunch visit, but I did not review that time. This restaurant is top-notch in comparison to other Thai places that we frequent, and one of my lunch group is from Thailand and he said they have many more authentic choices than most Thai places that we have been to.

Very generously portioned comfort food at a lovely price. Exactly what I was hoping for.

Best kept secret in Newton.

I was happy the first two times I was at Manow. The food was good and woman at the counter was great, got the order right and was very friendly and polite. One day I went and she was not at the counter. In her place was a very rude man who made me wait close to 10 minutes before even acknowledging I waiting to pick up a to go order which was right there on the table, getting cold. I just needed to pay. This man was abrupt to the point of being aggressive on the phone and in person. And, he got the order wrong. I requested no fish sauce which was fine the first two times I visited, but this time I got fish and ended up in the hospital. I won't risk going back.

Pros:
- Delicious yellow curry with white rice.
- Fresh ingredients.
- Very polite staff.
- Fast service.
- Clean facility.
- Great prices. ( Roughly $55 for two curry dishes, 1 pad thai and 2 big glasses of wine. )

Cons:
- The curry sauce was very flavorful but lacked a little in spice department. It's more of an American hot than a Thai hot.

Overall, I was very happy with my experience and will definitely return in the near future.

Delicious food arranged beautifully on the plate. Plenty of vegetarian options, but be sure to ask if there is oyster sauce in the ingredients. They are very accommodating about omitting things like oyster sauce or eggs. Reasonably priced with generous portions. Friendly service. Some food is a little on the greasy side, but not overwhelmingly so. The place is tastefully decorated and comfortable. I would definitely eat here again.

Don't let the exterior fool you, the cozy and bright interior, attentive staff, and hearty dishes lend to a great experience. The moo ping appetizer was deliciously different, the tamarind sauce a perfect match. The chicken eggplant basil was a perfect balance of flavors and textures, and the chicken green curry did not disappoint. Will return. Also, they deliver within a reasonable​ area.

The food here is reasonable but the service is poor. The male server was very rude. When someone waited for more than 20 minutes for the two take outs in an empty restaurant, he was hostile to the customer. When the customer complained, he said "excuse me!"
